How to record and monitor images in Sigma Image Monitoring - Duration: 1:36.

24/7 recording

In 24/7 recording, images are captured and saved constantly on your server.

These files are encrypted to restrict access to authorized persons only.

and are accessed only through Sigma Image.

In this type of image management, you can work with the pre-alarm technology.

In wich you can view images of the place just before the alarm goes off.

Motion detection recording.

On motion detection recording, images are captured and recorded

from the moment the equipment identifies movement in a given frame.

These images can be recorded at a specific time, or 24/7.

With this configuration, you can also create virtual fences

and use smarter solutions in your image monitoring.

Event recording

In recordings per event, the images are captured and recorded from the moment they

are received by Sigma Security Suite.

It is automatically sent to the Sigma Image,

where is started the recording of the zone where the event occurred.

If you prefer, you can also trigger all the cameras on the site simultaneously.

In this case, the recording of the event will only end

when the event is closed in Sigma.

Java Tutorial in 2 minutes - Static Methods and attributes - Duration: 1:48.

By Chiccodb00 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtF8xxYtL6cVSVP2wkMj1Sg

Hi, I'm Chiccodb00

in this episode of Java in two minutes

I will explain the static methods and variables.

Static methods are methods that doesn't require an object to be executed

so unlike non-static methods,

they can't operate on the attributes of a given object,

but they can be executed simply by calling

the class name.static method.

This could be useful, for example, when printing a Palle array

created in the previous episode,

since it is necessary to work on more than one object, and not on a specific one.

If we think it is not useful to create a Ball Type object

just to print the attributes of the Palla array passed as a parameter

because we don't need access to the attributes

of the object with the method to print.

So to create this static method we will write

public static void stampaPalle(Palla[] palle)

for(Palla palla : palle) System.out.println(palla);

Static variables, on the other hand, are variables which value

remains the same among the various objects,

so we could add a counter of how many balls were created

adding to the ball class

public static int contaPalle;

and in the constructor contaPalle++;

Another very important thing to remember,

is that static methods can't "see"

and modify non-static attributes,

but non-static methods can both see and modify

the value of a static attribute.

If the video helped you understand the subject,

leave a like

otherwise leave a dislike

Anyway, you can always comment to help me improve future videos.

Advantages of the Vampire Facial Over Microneedling, and Why They Don't Treat Deeper Volume Loss - Duration: 8:01.

Thank you for your question.

You submitted your question without a photo but you're essentially asking, is a Vampire

Facial®® that effective in terms of its relative impact in particular areas such as

subcutaneous fat as well as you want to know is it really enhancing the benefit of microneedling

or is it so-called overpriced microneedling.

Well, this is a very good question and certainly one that deserves clarification so that you

understand what the limits of this procedure is.

A little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

I have been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years.

I've been a member of the Vampire Facelift® Network for many years and I've been a resource

for the media periodically whenever the topic of Vampire Facelift® and Vampire Facial®

arises particularly a few years ago wjen a famous individual got the Vampire Facial®

and it made a lot of news.

So I think you're hitting a very important question by asking about subcutaneous fat.

I think that one of the challenges of communication with our patients as aesthetic physicians,

aesthetic surgeons are the limits of what you can do from the outside to help things

on the inside.

When people look at themselves, they see lines, they see wrinkles.

And what they don't necessarily appreciate is the volume loss that is associated and

underlying those lines and wrinkles.

It has been shown on study after study the significant loss of bone, muscle and fat that

characterizes facial aging.

Yet, the cosmetic industry is a multibillion dollar industry selling hope in a jar, basically

selling creams.

People believe in so many of the miraculous effects of creams.

Well also, close to that is the perception about facials.

Different kinds of facials are promoted and certainly the concept of needling is not new

starting with dermarollers and then to microneedling.

So what is the limit?

Well, the limit is the thickness of the skin.

And essentially, when you think of microneedling, whether you're using it in combination as

in the Vampire Facial® which is micro needling combined with a topical application PRP, microneedling

is basically creating defects in the skin and it has been broadly categorized under

the umbrella of collagen induction therapy.

You injure the skin, you stimulate collagen, the skin texture and quality improves.

When you use PRP, it improves significantly more.

So there isn't necessarily an equivalence between not using PRP and using PRP.

In my own observation, the PRP expedites the healing and it is delivering of PRP into the

skin certainly is an advantage to helping skin quality.

Now you also asked in your question about long lasting.

When it comes to skin, there is always a strategy that has to be customized to the individual.

And that strategy typically has to do first with addressing particular concerns.

Wrinkles, discoloration and texture being the most common.

Then beyond that, there has to be a maintenance plan, something that will work with you in

terms of treatments in office and skin products.

Skin requires maintenance.

Now when you ask the question about subcutaneous fat, I think it's more likely that you will

find a solution that addresses the foundation, the deeper parts of the facial volume loss

before you do something on the surface.

We can do things in combination.

It's routine for us to do something such as Structural Volumizing.

Structural Volumizing involves the placement of a long lasting filler such as hyaluronic

acid in the Juvederm Ultra Plus and Juvederm Voluma family, placing it in the cheeks, the

jawline, the chin and creating essentially a lifting type of effect.

The same patient often needs skin care.

And so, they would benefit from a procedure such as microneedling, Hydrafacial.

There are definitely ways to polish the external: laser, Q-switch lasers, fractional lasers,

ways to improve texture of the skin.

And I think that a lot of people get frustrated when they try to do something that is limited

to working on the outside when the more dramatic effects or benefits can occur from the inside.

This doesn't only apply to fine lines and wrinkles.

We have patients who come in after having multiple treatments of acne scarring and by

placing volume in the cheek where their scarring may be accentuated.

By placing volume in the bone structure level, the acne scars look a lot better.

So I think it's important to get a proper evaluation with a doctor who has extensive

experience and come up with a treatment plan that meets your needs and figure out how to

best allocate your resources and your time.

So I hope that was helpful, I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.

Why No One Trusts the Mainstream Media - Duration: 5:22.

Trust in the media is at an all-time low—and for good reason.

We in the business of journalism have exempted ourselves from the normal rules that used

to govern us, and so the most egregious kinds of reporting errors are becoming more common.

Formerly well-respected news organizations and experienced national reporters are making

the sorts of mistakes that wouldn't be tolerated in journalism school.

When these mistakes are corrected at all, it's with seemingly little regret.

And the corrections never get anywhere near as much attention as the original salacious

—but incorrect—narrative.

How did we get here?

I discuss that in detail in my book, The Smear.

Here are three factors:

First, firewalls that once strictly separated news from opinion have been replaced by hopelessly

blurred lines.

Once-forbidden practices, such as editorializing within straight news reports and the inclusion

of opinions as if fact, are not only tolerated—they're encouraged.

The result: It's never been harder for Americans to separate news that's real from news that's not.

Example: May 14, 2016, ten days after Donald Trump became the Republican presidential nominee,

the New York Times published a blockbuster article titled, "Crossing the Line: How

Donald Trump Behaved with Women in Private."

The story's authors, Michael Barbaro and Megan Twohey, interviewed Rowanne Lane,

an ex-girlfriend of Trump's.

Her quotes made Trump sound, at best, like a jerk, and at worst, like a predator.

The reporters went so far as to provide their own quotes for the story, presenting their

personal commentary as if it were established fact, writing, "This is the public treatment

of some women by Mr. Trump...degrading, impersonal, performed."

The problem is, the reporting wasn't true—according to Trump's supposed victim.

Once the story was published, she publicly accused the Times of misleading her, writing

a "hit piece" against Trump and putting a "negative connotation" on what

—she said—was "not...a negative experience."

No matter where you stand, this was a huge development in terms of journalism:

the main source behind front-page national news discredited the entire premise of the story.

You'd expect something like that to rock the whole news organization and prompt investigations,

a retraction, and re-examination of policies.

Yet, I can find no record of any of that.

The Times and their reporters never even apologized or printed a correction.

Second, though we may personally like or dislike a politician, as journalists we're obligated

to treat them the same.

Too often, that's not the case.

For example: In May 2008, then-presidential candidate Barack Obama said he had visited 57 states.

Since there are only 50 states, everyone knew what he meant.

He meant to say was that he had visited 47 states.

The remark, nothing more than a verbal gaffe, drew little attention.

And it didn't deserve more.

But when Sarah Palin made a comparable gaffe, saying, "We've got to stand with our North

Korean allies," she was relentlessly ridiculed and mocked in the media even though everyone

knew she meant to say "South Korean allies."

Third, too many of us have allowed ourselves to become tools of politicians and spin-meisters—

often in order to get something in return.

I call this "transactional journalism."

Example: Emails show in July 2009, The Atlantic reporter Marc Ambinder was promised a scoop.

He'd get an advanced copy of a speech by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton—

but only if he followed certain conditions, as privately dictated by Clinton aide Philippe Reines.

Reines emailed Ambinder precise instructions, including: "Describe Clinton's voice as

'muscular'" and "Don't say you were blackmailed," by which Clinton aide Reines

obviously meant, "Don't reveal our arrangement."

"Got it," replied Ambinder.

His resulting article reads in part: "When you think of President Obama's foreign policy,

think of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

That's the message behind a muscular speech that Clinton is set to deliver today."

That Ambinder, then considered a serious journalist, would allegedly violate basic ethics for such

a minor story speaks volumes about the state of today's news media.

For the record, Ambinder defended himself by saying that he found Clinton's speech

to be muscular, so the adjective was appropriate.

I think most Americans would like to believe their news is factual, well researched, and

untainted by a reporter's opinion.

To put it another way, they want their news straight up.

But too often now, that's not what they're getting, and they know it.

I'm frequently asked, "Can the news be fixed?"

The answer is yes…but the first step to fixing a problem is admitting that we have one.

Until we do that, nothing can change.

I'm Sharyl Attkisson for Prager University.
