Black Tuscan kale is a perennial variety with edible leaves.
You can easily grow it in a pot.
Toss the salad in a large salad bowl with vegan mayonnaise.

Inverted Dominant 7th Chords, Part 2: Analyses - Duration: 8:27.
Greetings!
Today's video focuses on the Analysis of a couple of chord progressions featuring inverted
dominant seventh chords.
The skill of musical Analysis requires practice, and will provide you, the student, important
tools to use in your own writing and research.
If you have not viewed the clip on V7 Inversions, you need watch that one first.
See link in the Description.
That said, […] One additional point deserves reemphasis:
Whenever two or more chords follow one after the other, they may be marked with successive
sets of figures, such as "3," "53," "2," and so forth, over the same sustaining
bass note.
Each of the chords shares a proportionate time value of the bass note. [mus]
Sustaining instrument samples may help us
appreciate the effect, more so than the percussive tone color of the piano.
Here we layer choir and large pipe organ samples, and play the identical chord progression we
just heard, though a little slower and dramatic. Listen! [mus]
On to the Analyses!
The Steps include 1) labeling the Key, below the staff.
2) Writing in the Figures – which mark the inversions – over the bass notes.
3) Adding the Roman Numerals – which mark the scale degrees of chord roots – under
the bass notes.
4) label the Cadence, and 5) Play or Sing the Example.
Now for the first Analysis Example.
Let's listen the music. [mus]
Incidentally, if you want to obtain a copy of a century-old music theory textbook
– the Public Domain, copyright-free source of the two examples today – see the description.
Now that that's out of the way […] The first thing you have to figure out, is
what is the key of the progression, according to the key signature.
Write the letter name of the key below the staff, next to the bass clef sign.
Second, write in the figures over the bass notes.
Figures indicate inversions of triads and seventh chords.
By the way: Do let us know of any errors in our figuring!
Third, add Roman Numerals under the bass notes.
Roman numerals tell us what is the root of each chord, by scale degree, and also show
whether a chord is a triad (usually, just a letter), or a chord of four tones – a
seventh chord.
Fourth, label the type of cadence, whether perfect or imperfect authentic, Plagal, and
so forth.
Fifth, Play through the progression on a piano-keyboard, several times.
Besides the keyboard, you may also assign voice parts to a small mixed chorus – soprano,
alto, tenor, and bass voices – to practice singing through the examples in a group situation. [mus]

Now for the second Analysis Example.
Let's first listen to the progression as it might sound played on a piano [mus]

Next, write in the figures over the bass notes.

Have we made any mistakes in our figuring so far?
Then, add Roman Numerals under the bass notes.

Be sure to label the type of cadence, whether PAC, IAC, Plagal, and so forth.
Finally, Play through the progression on a piano-keyboard, several times.
Besides the keyboard, you may again assign voice parts to a small mixed chorus – soprano,
alto, tenor, and bass voices – to practice singing through the examples. [mus]
There you have it!
Today we reemphasized the effect that is produced when more than one vertical harmony is attached
to a single bass note by means of figures. [mus]

Then we went through the Steps for harmonic
and contrapuntal analysis of a couple of four-part chord progressions that combined triads and
dominant 7th chords in various inversions.
We trust you will transcribe the two progressions yourself, as pencil-to-paper writing practice.
An upcoming presentation will introduce techniques for connecting inverted Dominant-Seventh-to-Tonic-Triad
chords in the Minor keys, which you can imagine may present a few difficulties, but nothing

they lost a really good man today which is Wednesday Red Miller
and he passed away at 89 years old so the man he was a really good man
the Denver Broncos actually he took them too their first Super Bowl game ever and that was
in 1977 and then he turned around in 1978 and 1979 brought them also to the playoffs
now unfortunately what he did take him to the Superbowl if they didn't lose
against the Dallas Cowboys but to get into the Super Bowl for the playoffs
they beat Oakland raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers to make it in to Superbowl in 1977 they lost against Dallas Cowboys 27-10
and he was also gonna think - it was really cool as he was named the coach of
the year that year 1977 Red Miller when he took the Denver Broncos to the Superbowl and he passed away at age 89 years old I like I said due
to a stroke prayers go out to family and friends
but he lived a long happy life he was the man behind the Orange Crush defense
for the Denver Broncos so if you guys didn't know that our ladies give you
some support for Denver Broncos family and the NFL family they lost one of their fellow members and great head coach and family man so have

what their Year today points alright for their points that they've gotten and
what they've given their the Oakland Raiders have scored between
touchdowns field goals and two-point conversions
else 81 points against their opposing team their opponents have scored 63 now
Denver is about the same one point more then Oakland Raiders Denver Broncos have
scored 82 points and 64 they've given their opponents Denver now is at home
right and their record at home is 2 - 0 now away
Oakland's records 1-1 all right that's one thing that's a little bit
different but Oakland has only played one home game and they won that one
against the New York Jets 45 - 20 now check this crazy stuff up and we to
Denver play Dallas right 42 - 17 three points in three points right and where
do you say three points 20-17 3 42 - 45 three crazy right so I look at this
breakdown math time class it's math class time right and I'm going to be the
teacher even though you guys aren't boys and girls you guys are men and ladies
and some are you guys are young cats woohoo and young beasts the big beast
and the lady beast rad Beauty and the Beast oh yeah
it's math time Denver has 82 points here right so I brought Denver's a here
Oakland has 81 so they're under so I Oakland here I subtract that I get one
point going towards Denver right now we're gonna go over here on their points
that they give their teams 64 Denver 63 Oakland subtract that one point point or
two Oakland now let's go over to the three points Denver is that home so they
get to her home field advantage right they get three points automatically and
that's how I figure it and that's how a lot of people will figure in it so we're
going to give it three points we got one in one so that's even so that makes it
even we got 3 points now some many lines will give you three
points but really they don't want to take that risk so that's why they bring
it up to two and a half Denver gets two and a half points that's how that came
in all right now we look at the points do buy it do
it all that crazy math and that's how we come up with the over/under now you're
figuring out well how do you come up with a possible score of 20 to 28 all
right we're gonna move on down here now how do I come up with the 20
to 28 that's right we're all wondering huh I take those two points right there
they're our average they score in the errands I give I add them both together
I divide by 2 I come up with a 20 roughly and I do the same thing for the
Denver Broncos that's right I had their points that they give and the points
that they go get and I add those up I divide it by 2 and I come up with 28
with adding the point spread the to play 2.5 oh but you're not beasts that don't
make no sense why would you add up both of those points because this is even
team everything that we've been talking about there even straight down the board
at home Denver is a very great team their record with and all the
sub divided by 3 they score at home 33 points on average and they give their
opponents on average 19 points now in there in a way which we have only you
know one game to look at 26 to 16 right now that's the same thing we got over
here with Oakland but Oakland has only played one game at home so their average
is 45 to 20 because of the one game but now we are looking at Oakland's away
right we want to know how Oakland plays away since they're going to Denver
all right away Oakland averages 18 points now they average given their
opponents 21 and a half points so they actually are bad on the
road and so is Denver Denver is bad on the road this year now that's you know
we don't have much to look at I'm not saying that they're a bad team they're
both excellent teams but they score way more place and they have better
what's home records at home alright now this is where it gets crazy
right there's a two and a half point spread right going towards Denver
Broncos and they're giving the Oakland Raiders a plus 2.5 right the Vegas lines
the pools the betting lines whatever you want to use them at make your choices
lines the over/under is forty six and a half I predict this score to be 20 to 28
right 28 to 20 just kidding 28:20 i makes mistakes to everybody I'm human
I'm human except Cookie Monster's non-human look at that Cookie Monster
whoo mr. crazy juice man yeah a lot of mr.
Hyde and huh alright so I predict this Denver ultimate game to be 20 to 28 your
like but beast and you're week 4 nfl picks straight-up picks you picked Oakland
that's right I like going for that underdog team because I actually think
paper the paper says and when you look at all the stats and you look at it at
all and you add it all up Denver's on my team at home
Oakland's a worse team away right and they're an even match team so the truth
when you look at paper and I also said if I'm gonna give you a picks I'm gonna
give you only the ones I know that are gonna win I'm not going to give you my
little prediction pick by little prediction take as Oakland Raiders win
it's going to be a closer game but that's my prediction you can go with me
Oakland Raiders win plus the points and over forty six and a half or you can
pick this the stats and go at the favorite team Denver Broncos at home my
two and a half over forty six and a half that's up to you I'm not you I'm not
going to tell you which one because this is a game of the week great
game that's what it is there buddy boys and
girls men ladies at home one game away
points and they give their average of 21 and a half at home
Denver scores an average of 33 points a game and they give their Hornets 19 away
which doesn't matter to this time away Denver gets and that was just 16 points
and away they get an average of 26 so if this was reversed if Denver was at
Oakland I would be picking Oakland this week but since Oakland's at Denver I
gotta take Denver for your guys's picks but at my straight pool picks I'm still
going with Oakland woohoo crazy

The YouTube Equipment I Use - Duration: 8:20.
Hey guys welcome back to my channel my name is Natalie, and I blog at NatalieBacon.com.
Today I'm going to be talking to you about all of my YouTube equipment
I have done tons of research and started my YouTube channel
knowing pretty much nothing about YouTube-ing other than what I watched on
other YouTube videos about how to start a YouTube channel so now I'm getting
questions about the equipment I use. So I am going to go through everything that I
use to get these videos up and running. A few things before I show you exactly
what I use I just want to say that I do all of my shooting myself all of the
editing myself and right now I'm such a beginner I'm still just using iMovie
which is totally free if you're a Mac user. I'm not sure what the equivalent is
for PC users but you're just thinking about getting a YouTube channel started
iMovie is definitely the easiest and cheapest way to go. What I learned from
my research was that the two most important things for having an awesome
YouTube channel are sound and lighting. If you don't have good audio people will
not watch your videos and then second to that is lighting. If you can have good
lighting then people will assume your videos are just higher quality and
better produced. So with that let's get started.
So the mic that I use is a zoom h1 portable digital recorder. It's 100 bucks
you can kind of see it right here, and I just place it next to myself well I am
shooting and I hit record. Now the reason that you can't just use your camera mic
is that it will sound took pilly it's it's hard to explain but most YouTubers
use some sort of mic because the sound is just higher quality. So what you do is
you record a video with visuals and it will have audio on it but
then you mute that audio and then you sync with that the recording from the
mic. Another blogger recommended this mic to me and so that's what I use and I
love it. I also use an Amazon Basics remote control it is like this - okay
hopefully you can see that - it's just something really easy that I can start
and stop the video with. This is like gosh I don't know under ten dollars
that's been great in that way you don't have to start and stop your video as you
keep going. Now let's talk about lighting I use two softbox lights and one ring
light. The softbox lights are limos studio 700 photography softbox light
lighting kit 24 x 24. This is an Amazon bestseller and it was also recommended
to me by other bloggers and YouTubers and it is $57.90 and
I'm going to show you what these look like. Okay so here are the box lights I
apologize such a hard thing to do while I'm shooting I'll turn it off here so
you can kind of see the setup
but you can see tall box lights which are great. The
other light that you see here it's called a ring light and this ring light
is what I use to light up my face. So, I am going to show you guys really quickly
what it looks like without any of the lighting on. So right now I have the two
soft boxes and then the ring light on. Alright how does that look? Kind of dark
kind of like yellowy - I don't know just not that great. So now let me show you
just with the two soft boxes what it looks like. This is better right? It just
has a bright white light to it. You can kind of see around me, and now look at
the difference when I add the ring light which will light up my face. All right
now this looks better if you ask me everything is just lit up. I will say
that I've had to use higher quality makeup and makeup that adds a lot of
matte and powder finish because of the lights but that's pretty normal.
The last thing that I use in my setup is my camera which is the most important
part it's the Canon 80D - it's 8 0 D - and I just
use the basic 18-55 lens that came with it I have some nicer lenses but at least
for right now I'm just not that good with videography that I care as much
about the lens I pretty much sit still I don't really move around a lot so this
basic lens is good enough for me I focus more on the lighting and the audio which
is what I've heard from all the youtubers who have done other videos
talking about what they use and how audio and lighting is the most important
thing to your YouTube setup. So the camera I will try to show you guys
really quick but it's kind of hard because I'm using it to film this so I'm
actually gonna switch over to my iPhone and see if that works.
Okay so beer with me now you can see my video set up the
cannon 80D is really nice because it has this flipped screen which is really
really helpful first set up and I keep it attached to my ring light on the
tripod and you can see I just sit here on the couch and I look at the camera
right there. I am going to link to it below along with all the other equipment
I use and just know that it's a typical DSLR. The nice thing about the Canon 80D
is that the screen flips forward and you can turn it so I can actually see myself
to the right of the camera where I'm talking to you guys.
This makes recording for video so much easier so I can kind of see what's going
on as I'm doing it. This is especially important if you're doing this on your
own. So that's it as far as the equipment I
use. Again I use two box lights a ring light a remote control a Canon a 80D DSLR
my handy-dandy microphone and I use iMovie on my macbook pro. I will link to
everything below. I think that if you're on the fence about starting video you
just have to go for it. I personally think that equipment does matter and
that if you want to produce videos that people will like to watch you have to
get the right equipment so it is an investment upfront however I will say
that just because you have the right equipment doesn't mean your videos are
going to be great. That's sort of just like the bare minimum because it's so much
harder on camera than it looks. I thought because I'm really outgoing and
extroverted in person that I would find video to be the exact same and pretty
easy. Wrong it is really hard well say I think that just even from my intro video
to now which is a little over three months it's like night and day.
So I'm hoping that in another three months and by the
time it's been a year I've improved and camera is a lot easier. I think that building a
YouTube channel is one of the best ways to build trust with your audience
because they can connect to you in a totally different way than just typing
or words on a blog post. That's it for today's video. I hope you find it useful

The Judge Died Thrice 🎃🎃🎃 Unsolved Mystery of the Honorable Thomas P. Meehan disappearance - Duration: 7:38.
Thomas Meehan was a lawyer at the California Department of Employment.
When unemployment benefits were denied and the jobless chose to appeal,
it was Meehan's job to hear evidence and to rule on that appeal... until he went missing.
Disappearances typically happen only once.
However Thomas Meehan appeared and disappeared three times on the same night.
On the evening of February 1, 1963,
Thomas Meehan was driving home from a distant work assignment in Eureka, California.
He was heading to Concord, near San Fransisco,
where he lived with his wife Florence, and their four children.
When still more than four hours from home, he stopped at a pay phone.
It was six PM and he called Florence to tell her he was feeling ill.
His wife told him to stop at a motel and get some rest,
and to finish driving home the next morning.
His car was a new Chevrolet convertible.
It was only thirty minutes later that it was seen by two witnesses
as it veered off Highway 101, where the road parallels the Eel River.
It was swallowed by brush as it plunged down the embankment.
The police were called and the California Highway Patrol arrived to investigate the accident scene.
All the window glass was smashed out and the convertible top of the vehicle was torn off.
However the steering column showed no sign of impact.
The steering wheel was not bent, and the horn was not crushed.
A pair of neatly folded eyeglasses was found resting in the passenger seat.
The authorities thought it likely that the driver was thrown from the car,
or he may even have walked away unharmed.
Then footprints were found nearby, starting from the muddy bank of the Eel River
and leading straight up the embankment, for ten yards.
Then the footprints ended abruptly, before reaching the road,
as if Thomas Meehan had vanished.
Also at 6:30 PM, at the same time that his Chevrolet was seen plummeting off the shoulder of Route 101,
Thomas Meehan showed up at a nearby hospital in Garberville.
One of the nurses in the Emergency Room recorded his insurance information.
The nurse said the man was disoriented, and he kept asking if he was dead.
He questioned her. He said, "Do I look dead to you?"
By the time a physician was ready to look him over, Meehan was nowhere to be found,
disappearing for the second time, that Friday night.
Next at eight o'clock that evening, Thomas Meehan walked into the lobby, of the Forty Winks Motel in Redway,
many miles from the hospital, and even farther from the scene of the accident.
He had a long conversation with the proprietor, Chip Nunnemaker,
who was also part owner of the Redway rodeo.
Chip said the man did look normal, but did notice that the bottom cuffs of Meehan's pants were wet,
and that his shoes made squishing noises when he walked.
Nunnemaker questioned about it, but the man did not answer.
Instead he asked the motel owner, "Do I seem dead to you?
I feel like I'm dead."
Later that night, the motel switchboard operator visited Meehan's room,
to notify him that the phone lines must be down in Concord, and to make a call to his wife would be impossible.
According to the witness, although Meehan had not checked in with any luggage,
he was wearing a change of clothes, now appearing in a formal black suit with a white shirt and a black tie,
almost as if he was about to attend a wedding... or a funeral.
Finally, the lawyer disappeared for the third time.
He never checked out of the Forty Winks Motel.
Nineteen days later the lifeless body of the forty-one year-old man was fished out of the Eel River.
Thomas Meehan was a prominent, sober member of his community,
holding a position on the board of directors of his local hospital.
He was such an important figure that his home town Police Inspector,
Carl Vicknar, drove hours from Concord to join the manhunt for the missing man,
with 24 additional law enforcement officers.
But the authorities still had no explanation
as to how Meehan had occupied his physical body three times...
after he had already drowned in frigid river waters.
