Hello and a very good morning!
I received my very first order to TAM Beauty on Monday,
which is the main page of the brand group that carries
Makeup Revolution, Freedom Makeup, My Makeup Obsession, etc.
All of them are on TAM Beauty.
So, while I was unwrapping my order,
'One palette... Another palette, aham...
The lipstick I ordered, ok...
And what's this hard thing?'
That hard thing wasa tester for another palette!
'Día de los Muertos' more precisely.
They sent me an entire palette,
in tester format, but hey, it's a palette.
The only con that I find is
that if I travel with it I have to keep the plastic thingy.
Everything else is ok.
I find it curious that they gave me this, actually.
But I really like it, thank you!
I had to share this with you.
And, well, what I actually ordered
were these two palettes.
This one is a 24 eyeshadow palette, and this one is an 8 highlighters palette.
Both have been created by a British youtuber named Sophie,
you can find her here on youtube as Sophdoesnails
The same handle on Instagram and on Twitter.
And I think that the is the same one for Snapchat, but Im not sure.
I'll leave all the links down below.
So, Sophie created this palettes in conjunction with Makeup Revolution,
and I felt it was right to purchase them.
I think the eyeshadow palette is very interesting and complete,
definetely, something I would wear a lot.
Because Sophie, as I do, loves warm tones
and, as you can see from the chart at the back,
there are loads of warm shades:
brown, reds, some green, blue and purple.
Again, I think is very complete,
and this was... about 12 - 13€.
Normally, MUR palettes are about 8 to 10€ each,
and they are not as big as this one.
Indeed, you've seen the normal size of a MUR palette,
so 13€ for the Soph one I think is a pretty good deal.
I would link in the description box Soph's announcement video, so you can check it out;
as well as the first tutorial she made for this palette.
This palette is something Soph would wear,
it may sound stupid, but it is very important.
She didn't create something -only- to please people
but something she would reach to quite often, like
'I'm going out of town a few days, what do I take with me?
Oh! I would grab my palette'. That's important.
These items are a piece of personality of the person who created them, and I really like that.
And in the higlighter palette you can find
shades for pale skin, medium skin
and even dark skin.
Maybe not every single dark skin tone,
but it would work on a very good part of them.
I think it is very inclusive, which is very good.
Other thing to tell you about the these,
if you look at the packaging, you'll see is a
watercolor desing that the very own Sophie did;
she grabed watercolor paper, her paints, and creater this piece.
To that point she got involved in the creation.
I love it.
And, if you please, let's take the plastic wrapper off
so we can see how the palette looks inside.
It is a matte feeling palette with chrome letters on it
I like it a lot, it is really cute.
On the back you have the name 'Soph x MUR'
and all the ingredients listed,
which is pretty cool.
Once you open it, you have a huge mirror,
like H U G E ,
MUR mirrors are usually big, but this is even bigger.
And here you have all the shadow with this
platic sheet with the names written on it.
I'm sorry, but I hate this sheets, I hate them,
at some point I lose them and I know the shadow names no more.
I hate it!
But I will try to keep it as long as possible
for the sake of the tutorial.
And these are all the shades on the palette,
I think it has a very good balance between mates and shimmers,
I really like that.
It has... 1, 2, 3, 4... 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
10, 11, 12, 13. It has 13 mattes
One kind of semi matte
it has some glitter pieces.
It is the shadow Cloudberry.
I would say that 5 are shimmers,
and 1, 2...
...3...
...4, 5. And another five more or less,
are metallic shades.
And the highlighter palette has a clear window
and on the back is the same with the name
and all the ingredients.
Here you can see what I said earlier,
that you have highlighters for pale skin,
for medium skin tones,
and for dark skin tones.
And these two because some people prefer
their highlighter to be a little bit more pink or purple.
It says that this palette has two different formulas:
pressed and baked highlighters.
I lie to you if I say that I'm able to distinguish them,
because I'm not. At all.
I would start swatching this palette
and then I would go for the eyeshadow one.
These are the upper row of highlighters
I know my lighting is horrible.
This one. Hello? This one is the bomb. Wow.
And these are the bottom row.
I would say that the more subtle ones are these two
when using the finger, they change when you use a brush.
Anyway, they are good for people who like more "natural" highlighter.
I'm going to do the exact same process for the eyeshadows
I'll swatch one row with my fingers
and then I would tell you the names.
The shades are: Penguin,
Pancakes, that you can't see;
Fairy Lights,
Pink Champagne,
Iced Coffee,
y Cuppa Tea.
No, Pancakes is invisible,
it is almost the same shade than my skin.
OK. These ones are: Grow Old,
Sparks Fly,
Smokey Bronze,
Mixed Berries,
Tiramisu and Peaches.
The metallic shades are incredibly creamy
when you apply them with your fingers.
Just brutal.

This is the one I said it had some glitter.
This is Pumpkin,
which is more coral that I expected.
This one is Pine Tree,
This is Petrol
Hello? Hello, Petrol, welcome to my life,
I'm gonna love you forever.

And the last row: Strawberry Sweets,
Festive Flame,
Copper Coin, Mug Cake,
Rosewood
and Nightmare.
Possible doubts, I had them with several shades,
Does Copper Coin look like Grow Old?
No, not at all.
They are not even similar (Would you mind stop focusing on my face?)
These two are completely different.
And with these three, which are...
Pumpkin,
Danger and Strawberry Sweets.
I thought Danger and Strawberry Sweets were the same colour,
and nope, they are not.
They are pretty different shades.
My God, what kind of look do I do now?
My plan was something soft, for everyday
But, hello,
Petrol has appeared in our lives.
I think that my subtle plan is gone.
The only thing that is left to show you is this lipstick,
honestly, I'm not interested anymore on the lipstick
after swatching the eyeshadows.
The lipstick is a kind of café au lait color
it is really pretty, I love it.
So, let's see what I come up with.
I have already done my foundation,
my bronzer and contour.
The only thing left are the eyes and the highlight.
So, let's start!

I think I'm going to start with Peaches.
I heard Tammy say (Tammy is one of Soph's MUR team mates)
that the shadows work better if the primer is not set.
I decided not to follow her advice, my bad,
and I'm regreting it.
I think this would be better if I hadn't set my primer with powder.
Anyway, it was my failure.
The only thing I have to do is put a couple of coats, that's it.
Honestly, I rather like a shadow I have to build than one that is too pigmented
with no turning back once you place it.
To continue, I'm going with Danger.
Now I'm going to use Sparks Fly and I'm appling it with my finger.
And now I'm taking Festive Flame.
I'm also taking a little bit of Copper Coin.
Now I'm using this KIKO Eyeliner on the waterline.
And in the bottom lash line I'm placing Pumpkin.
And to blend Pumpkin I'm taking Cuppa Tea
because it is more brown toned.
And for the inner corner, I'm using Fairy Lights.
As mascara, I'm not going to say to what I'm using,
I the only one that I use.
One of the things Soph said in her video was that we
could use this shades here for doing our eyebrows.
So that is what I'm going to do. I'll take Rosewood
and maybe a little bit of Nightmare, but just a tiny bit.
Well, the eyes ara all done, a mix of
red, gold, copper...
Very autumn-y, very me
I would like to have used Petrol, I'm not gonna lie,
but I would like to plan that look better,
so there would be a second look with this palette
because I'm liking it quite much.
Well, as highlighter I think I'm taking this one...

I think this one is better
I see it more yellow toned, but I like it.
There we go.
This highlighter, well, this and everyone on the market
accentuates the texture on my skin, but I don't really mind
because it's soo pretty!
I think
that I have found my perfect shade of nude lipstick.
I'm doing the same I did on my last video,
I'll turn on the flash light on my phone
so you can see better how the whole makeup looks.
So, these were my first impressions on Soph's palettes
I liked a lot the highlighter paletter
thought I already have MUR highlighter palettes
and I really think I didn't need a new one;
but this is absolutely pretty and I like the texture of the product,
and, also, the shade range it has.
What I like the most of this collab is the eyeshadow palette,
it was my main target, actually.
The shadows... Suprisingly, the metallic ones
blend perfectly into each other.
I love that.
There are some formulas out there that require extra work,
that does not happen with this palette.
Much appreciated.
Maybe for Peaches would have been a good idea
not setting the primer but, actually, that was the only
shade I had "issues" with.
So I don't know if it was a problem with setting the primer
or my brush, that may not be the best one,
which could the most probable option.
As I said earlier, I would do a second look with this,
I already an idea for it.
So there would be another one soon,
"soon" having in mind my upload schedule.
The lipstick surprised me for good
because I did expected it to be more brown,
like Wet n Wild's Mocha-licious,
but it is not. And, also, is not pale for me,
and the finish is quite matte.
And that is something I really love on a lipstick
because the finish gives the sensation of long lasting,
that is always a good thing.
So, nothing else.
I hope you liked this look. It wasn't my original plan, but
I ended up with this. As I don't like red shadows at all
this look may surprise some of you. (Strong sarcasm)
