You can probably agree that humans… we love to classify things.
Whether we're sorting animals into species or arguing over whether Pluto is a planet,
it's almost impossible for us to resist sorting the stuff around us.
Unfortunately, nature doesn't care what we like to do, and we keep making discoveries
that defy our precious categories, like an object in the asteroid belt called… this.
Or 288P for short.
In a paper published last week in the journal Nature, a team of astronomers reported that
288P is a binary asteroid… that kinda acts like a comet.
Astronomers discovered the object in 2006, hanging out in the main asteroid belt between
Mars and Jupiter.
At the time, it looked like all the other asteroids, basically, a small, rocky space
potato, so that's what we called it.
But then, in 2011, when the object neared the Sun, scientists saw it producing a temporary
tail and halo, or coma, of dust and water, which meant this so-called asteroid
was also acting like a comet.
By itself, this isn't that weird.
There are actually enough main belt asteroids that sometimes act like comets that, surprise!
We have a category for them: main belt comets.
But now, we've discovered that this object is even stranger.
In the latest paper, images from the Hubble Space Telescope revealed that it isn't one
kilometer-sized space rock, but two, orbiting one another about 100 kilometers apart.
Binary asteroids are pretty common, but 288P is the first binary and main belt comet.
It also combines features we've seen in other binaries that make it unique: The two
rocks are similar in size, the separation between them is pretty far, and the shape
of their orbit around each other is highly elliptical.
Now, 288P should have run out of water ice a long time ago, so it shouldn't be able
to create that comet-like tail anymore.
But since it can, that suggests it became a binary very recently, at least in astronomical
terms, about 5000 years ago.
Previous work estimates that 288P existed as a single space rock for millions of years,
but it became a binary thanks to rotational fission,
or from breaking apart from spinning too fast.
Then, the newly-exposed water ice vaporized
and pushed the two rock fragments in opposing directions.
288P is the first of its kind, so it's difficult to tell how many objects like it
are in our solar system.
And since the pieces were relatively small and far apart, others will be hard to spot
if they exist.
But understanding objects like it could help astronomers explain how the solar system evolved.
And since research suggests icy asteroids played an important part in bringing water
to Earth, it may help us figure out how so much water got here, too.
Meanwhile, the European Space Agency is studying what happens when water leaves Earth.
By which I mean sacks of water, which, I'm talking about humans, just people.
People are bags of water.
Right now in a clinic in France, 10 volunteers are staying in bed for 60 days to see if a
cocktail of antioxidants and vitamins can fight the negative side effects
of living in space.
Living in orbit has its perks, but since astronauts' bodies aren't constantly fighting gravity,
the weightlessness they experience causes a lot of physical side effects.
Among other things, their bones grow brittle, their muscles decay, their bodily fluids get
redistributed, resulting in what's called, no joke, "puffy-head, bird-legs" syndrome.
Learning how to fight those effects is especially important for long-term space missions, like
for when we send people to Mars, because once we get there,
we'll need the strength to walk around, and do science stuff.
Instead of spending oodles of money launching more people into space, or only studying the
few astronauts that go there, researchers mimic microgravity here on Earth
using special bed rest studies.
The subjects' beds are tilted down 6 degrees so that their heads are lower than their feet,
which simulates how fluids get redistributed in space.
And once they lie down, they have to keep at least
one shoulder touching the bed at all times.
This study will conduct 15 experiments to measure things
like vital signs or the participants' mood.
Half of the subjects will take a mixture of antioxidants and vitamins to supplement their
nutrition plan, and the other will serve as the control group and won't take any supplements.
After the 60 days are up, they'll all undergo the same rehabilitation program that ESA astronauts
do after returning to Earth to restore some of that lost bone and muscle strength.
Now, lying in bed for two months eating and watching Netflix might sound like an easy
way to spend your time, but no.
You've got to put your whole life on hold, eat a strictly-controlled diet, and be okay
with your body getting weaker.
You'd also have no privacy, be subjected to constant medical tests, and would have
to do everything without sitting up, everything.
What I'm saying is, you'd have to poop lying down for two months.
This won't be the last bed rest study the ESA does, next August, they'll see if making
artificial gravity could counteract space's side effects, but it will teach us a lot about
how our bodies work in space.
One way or another, volunteering for a bed rest study is no joke, but if we're ever
living in space, we'll have those bed-poopers to thank.
So maybe it's worth it.
But even if bed rest studies aren't for you, there are still plenty of ways you can get
involved in space exploration and astronomy.

Hello and welcome to AccessDNR, the monthly video newsletter from the Maryland Department
of Natural Resources.
In this episode, work begins to improve fish passage on the Patapsco, outdoor enthusiasts
unite, we tour one of the western shore's healthiest watersheds and more!
I'm your host, Anna Lucente-Hoffmann – and this is AccessDNR!
[AccessDNR theme music]
Our first story takes us to Gibson Island in Anne Arundel County for an event with Assistant
Secretary Bill Anderson and George O'Donnell from Fishing and Boating Services that showcased
the "Marylanders Grow Oysters" program.
To aid in the effort, volunteers from a nearby school – St. Martins in the Field - joined
in and helped carry dozens of bags of Spat-On-Shell to nearby docks to ready them for the bay.
Later in the day, students were given the opportunity to learn about the program and
the beloved bivalve it supports.
Up next, it's off to Patapsco Valley State Park, where work has begun on the long-anticipated
removal of Bloede Dam.
The first stage begins with the installation of a temporary river crossing to allow workers
and equipment safe passage throughout the process.
The demolition of the dam itself is slated to begin next summer.
When completed, this project will not only provide healthier water for the bay and enhance
fish passage but also address a long-standing public safety concern as well.
Later in the month, we head to the Back River in Baltimore County, where colleagues from
the Maryland Department of Agriculture work to address an overpopulated pest – the midge.
To complete the task, workers outfit a specially designed barge to carefully deploy organic
pesticide that targets the infestation without impacting other animals or the environment.
Throughout the process, experts from our department will monitor the effort to ensure effective
and safe application.
Next, we traveled to Washington County to celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day.
In our annual celebration, staff and partners work to educate and entertain participants.
Events like this are terrific opportunities to forge personal connections with the great
outdoors through demonstrations, hands-on activities and more.
In our last recap, we head to Calvert County for a firsthand look at the picturesque Parker's
Creek Preserve.
Surrounded by more than 3,000 acres of protected lands managed by our partners at the American
Chestnut Land Trust, the watershed is known as one of the healthiest on the Western Shore.
We invite you to see it for yourselves and take advantage of their 22 miles of trails
and guided paddle tours.
Looking forward – The summer season has come and gone but there's still plenty of
time to get outside and celebrate nature's fall bounty!
Pick a park and make a plan to hike, bike, or enjoy autumn camping opportunities.
For you anglers out there, note that fall trout stocking will soon be underway across
the state – a full schedule will be posted on the website.

Are Natural Disasters a Sign of the End Times? - Duration: 1:53.
I was reading our code the other day on cbn.com and it was talking about many of
the events that are happening in our day we have hurricanes earthquakes there's
all kinds of natural things happening that are only gonna make people wonder
is there something going on is God doing something?
Franklin Graham in the article talked about what the Bible says that in the
last days there's literally going to be signs in the heavens and in the earth
that Jesus Christ is coming so we know from the scriptures that it's absolutely true
that when we see natural events happening we should be mindful that they
can be foretelling of spiritual events and yet we have to also be very careful
that we don't decide what those events are sometimes people jump on the band wagon
right away and they start talking about the fact that well this is an
indication God's judging our nation we need to be very careful when we talk
about God's judgments because God's mercy His long-suffering it so far
exceeds anything we can possibly do I know it my life I've always heard of
people talking about God judging our nation and I haven't seen it yet and
what that does is it begins to create in people two thoughts number one
Christians are very condemning at number two what they say never comes to pass so
I believe this is a time when we need to be sensitive aware that something really
is happening in the spiritual because of what's happening in the natural but also
being very careful to say now Lord what is it that you want us to know I believe
what's happening is there's a birthing taking place the Bible says the whole
earth groans for the revealing the sons of God in the earth I'm looking for a
Great Awakening and I'm expecting it so when I hear about these things I say
Lord the earth is groaning it's travailing this baby's just about ready
to come it's going to be the birthing of the church arising and the glory God has
always intended for us to walk in

Where Am I Going With This? My Big Career Plans (Or Lack Thereof) | Kate's Adventures - Duration: 5:25.
Hi everyone! Last week I made a video based on something that somebody wanted to know about me
and I thought it turned out really well so I decided to do the same again this week.
I took to Twitter, I asked if anybody wanted to ask me any questions and my friend Roman sent me one.
He said, "You're taking a different route through life, but you definitely have a plan.
"What are your personal hopes, goals and dreams?"
I feel like I have a lot to say about this, so today this video is about ambitions.
The first part of Roman's question amused me a little
because he's used the words "You definitely have a plan"
and I just want to make a little confession before I continue with the video,
I don't really feel like I have a plan.
I feel like my life has been a series of happy accidents and touch wood long may they continue
because they've led to some experiences and led me to try some of the things that I really want to try.
I feel like in terms of a plan, the only plan I really have is to make the most of opportunities that come my way.
And that's really it, it's not a solid concrete plan of how I'm going to get the things that I want to get
it's really just seeing where life takes me.
When it comes to ambitions, I think that there's a lot of social pressure
to have ambitions that relate to career and work.
And I have some ambitions related to career and work
but I have a lot that don't really relate to anything and that's okay as well.
There's certain people in my life who feel the need to say to me whenever I try something,
"But what job are you gonna get from this? How is this going to get you where you want to be in life?"
And I feel like it's okay to do things just to enjoy them, just for the experience of doing them.
I don't feel like everything in my life has to be justified by the fact it's going on my CV.
If somebody who's known me a long time were to sit down
and write down all the things that I've said I've wanted to do in the world
and also all the things that I've tried doing,
it would be a very long, complicated and erratic list.
And I'm quite proud of that actually, I don't feel like I need to be moving in one particular direction.
I think it's awesome that I've tried so many different things and tried all these little alleyways in my life
seeing where they go, maybe turn back if they don't work out, but at least I know that I've tried.
And there's still a lot of things that I want to try too.
One of my recent dreams is to try flying a small plane.
Obviously I don't mean professionally and I don't mean a massive passenger carrying jet,
I just mean like a small plane that has maybe a couple of passengers.
I just want to try it and see what it's like.
I'd also like to try voice acting or maybe reading an audiobook or something.
I feel like that's something I would really enjoy
so if anybody has anything that they need a voice for, hit me up!
It would be really cool to be an Independent Financial Adviser
because I really love managing my own money
and I love it when people come to ask me for advice on what to do with their money.
I'm not at all qualified, I don't think I ever will be qualified
but it's something that I really love doing so if I ever got the chance to be an IFA, that would be so cool.
And I'd love to write a book. I've always loved writing, there are scraps of paper all around my room
of ideas that I've had from as young as like 5 years old
right up to now, I still get story ideas all the time.
And it would be really cool if at least one of them one day
goes from my imagination, onto paper and then into print.
I would love to have my own book, even if it's just self-published
I think that would be incredibly cool and that's a big goal of mine.
When it comes to my hopes and my dreams and my goals, there's only really one word to sum them up.
I want to be adventurous. And I know there's probably people eye-rolling right now
and thinking "Oh my God, that's so on-brand for Kate's Adventures",
but I feel like it's accurate. I want to do the things that my head dreams up
even if they're totally wacky and whimsical and they don't really relate to the career that I'm going after.
If I dream it up, if I want to try it then I don't want to be afraid to experience that and see where it takes me.
And if I can encourage others to go after their goals as well no matter how crazy they are,
then that is absolutely awesome. So I hope you all enjoyed hearing about my ambitions
and in terms of your own ambitions, I would say that it's never a waste of time if it's important to you.
If it's something you want to try, absolutely go for it.
And I'd love you to tell me down below what your own ambitions are
and I wish you the best of luck. Thank you so so much for watching everybody and cheerio!
I'd also like to one day donate my hair.
Like make it into a badass princess wig for a kid with cancer
but I need to get it cut again first because it's been a long time since it had a cut
and all the ends are damaged and things. But one day, I'm going to donate my hair. It's happening.

Survive in Real Estate with These Budgeting Tips!!! - Duration: 2:30.
Hey guys, did you know 87% of realtors are failing within the first five years?
And one of the main reasons why is because they're just not good at
managing money. I'm gonna give you some tips on that today.
Alright, so 87% of Realtors are failing within the first five years because
you're just not good at managing your money and most people don't understand
how powerful a budget is and a powerful tool to help you plan and guide
your business to success and it specifically helps you know what's
working and what's not working in your business so what I want to do is give
you guys three tips that you can apply to your business specifically your
budget the first is once you create a budget
you have to stick to that budget now I know that sounds simplistic guys but so
many businesses fail because they give in and they don't stick to their budget.
You have to commit and stick to your budget to judge your success. The second
tip is you want to make sure you lead with revenue. What does that mean? Well
Gary Keller always says that agents tend to have this Field of Dreams model where
they feel that if they just spend a bunch of money the listings, the buyers,
are just gonna rain from the sky. It's not gonna work that way, you want to
guide your budget, guide your business, off of this principle of leading with
revenue. You don't spend money unless you're making money and you don't spend
more money unless that's gonna make you more money, so you want to lead with
revenue because everybody's gonna try to sell you everything under the sun. You're
gonna be approached with every shiny new object and if you don't stick to your
budget and if you don't have the principle leading with revenue you're
gonna fail. Now the third tip I'm going to give you
is you want to audit your money and hold your money accountable to results. I'm
talking every bit of what you do when you look at your operating expense. I'm
talking the paper that you use to print out your contracts, tie back your money
and how you spent it either indirectly or directly to results to how it helps
you close a deal. Hold your money accountable to results
all right guys there you have it so many agents are failing within the first five
years because they're not applying these principles to their business and to their budget. If you like
these tips subscribe to our YouTube channel, as always comment below, let me
know your tips on budgeting, where you've had successes and failures, check us out
on Instagram and Facebook, but most importantly guys Take Action On This
Today!

I'm living proof of that. I've been without my other kidney for 16 years.
I can't tell a difference.
Mike the recipient of my kidney that first
day as we're walking down the hall with our IV pulls, his hair looked better!
That's what blew my mind his hair looked better. His skin tone was
better his color was better. Having a healthy kidney for his body was such a
difference. I - yes I was a little out of it for a couple of days, but I went home
taking Tylenol. I mean that's how minimal the pain was. To save somebody's life by
putting myself out for a couple of days. It's been 16 years they are now retired,
my friend and her husband are now retired and they are in their golden

Conservatives Lob Death Threats Towards Kneeling NFL Players And Anthem Singers - Duration: 3:16.
Proving once again that the Republican party is certainly not the party of tolerance.
NFL players and even some of the people who came and sang National Anthem at these recent
games where players either locked arms or kneeled or stayed in the locker rooms they're
all receiving death threats from Conservatives across the country.
Now, here's the thing about all of these protests that Republicans still don't seem to be able
to grasp.
This isn't about disrespecting the flag.
This is about police brutality and the murder of black citizens in the United States at
the hands of police officers.
People who may or may not have committed crimes.
There's certainly evidence that some of these people definitely did not.
Majority of them unarmed, not fleeing in many cases.
They were just killed.
Why?
Because they were black.
That is the point of these protests and that is what they are drawing attention to.
But for white Conservatives across this country that's not good enough.
They've turned this into some kind of phony debate about disrespecting the flag or our
soldiers and so now they're issuing death threats to the very people who are protesting
the unjust death of black people all over this country.
Do they not see the irony in that?
Or do they just not care?
Or more likely, they just want to see more dead black people in the United States because
that is what this is about.
They're not wanting these people dead, they're not calling for their murder because they're
protesting, they're doing it because of the color of their skin.
Again, that is what all of this boils down to.
84% of the American public approves of these demonstrations that have been going on in
the NFL for the last week.
84%.
I mean that's a higher percentage than approve of Medicare for all, or tuition-free college,
or any person in any political party that's elected in Washington, D.C. 84% approve of
these NFL players.
The rest of them, some of them I should say, want to kill them.
That is what they've said, that is what they've made clear, that is what they've posted on
social media.
That is what they've said during interviews, and that is what they want to do.
We have to do better as a country at this point.
This is a massively important issue that these NFL players and these anthem singers are trying
to raise awareness for.
These people out there that want to kill the people protesting unjust death are just as
bad as the police officers out there committing these murders.
These people who've issued these threats need to be in prison.
They need to be under psychological surveillance for the rest of their lives because something
is mentally wrong with you if your response to a protesting American exercising their
free speech rights is to call for them
to be killed.

Top 10 Facts Ragdoll Cats 101- Ragdoll Cat Breed - Animal Facts - Duration: 8:58.
The Ragdoll, so named because of how he responds to being picked up, is also a breed known
for his love of people.
While he might not be a particularly old breed, the Ragdoll is a unique breed of cat with
a fascinating history.
Why don't you tag along as we check out this big, loving ball of fur?
Hi, I'm Leroy and I'm Rosie and this is Animal Facts.
Let's get started.
But, before we start, take a moment to like and subscribe for more fun, fauna facts.
We publish Every Monday and Friday, so hit that notification icon to not miss a single
fact.
10.
The Ragdoll is a young cat breed.
He was created in Riverside, California, in 1963.
Cat Breeder Ann Baker wanted a large cat with a beautiful, long coat and gentle personality.
Baker took a stray domestic longhaired white female that was found running wild in her
neighborhood and bred her with another long-haired cat.
Nobody knows just which cat breeds Baker used to make the Ragdoll but some guesses are Birman,
Burmese, or Persian.
The result, however, was the Ragdoll.
The breed's popularity quickly caught on, but it also became a source of controversy.
9.
Ann Baker invented wild myths about the breed's origins and created her own registry called
the International Ragdoll Cat Association.
She wanted to enforce strict standards and even went so far as to trademark the name
"Ragdoll" so it could only be used with cats at her registry.
Her organization, the IRCA is still in existence today but is quite small, particularly since
Baker's death in 1997.
IRCA cats are not recognized by any major cat breed organization or cat show, though
some IRCA cats have been registered as "Ragamuffin" cats.
8.
This breed is the center of several urban myths, most of which were started by Ann Baker.
Miss Baker claimed that the Ragdoll was impervious to pain and never gets scared.
She also said that Ragdolls were genetically modified alien hybrids.
Josephine, one of her first cats used for breeding, was in a car accident.
Baker insisted that the people who treated the injured kitty altered her DNA, hence the
out-of-this-world connection.
We can assume that Miss Baker took crazy cat lady to new levels.
Check out the video on the card to see why you might be a crazy cat parent.
7.
Many people love the Ragdoll because he goes limp when you pick him up, just like a Ragdoll.
He loves to be held and cuddled, and he's one of the most affectionate cat breeds.
Ragdolls thrive on human companionship, and, unlike some other felines, love being held.
And according to several sources, he behaves more like a dog than a cat.
He's even been known to play fetch.
And like dogs, he loves stuffed animals and little toys which he will carry from room
to room.
6.
He's a heavyweight among cats.
According to the Cat Fanciers' Association, the male Ragdoll typically weighs between
15 and 20 pounds and the female between 10 and 15 pounds.
At that weight, the Ragdoll is slightly larger than other feline heavyweights like the Maine
Coon, which can weigh up to 18 pounds, and the Norwegian Forest Cat, which can weigh
up to 16 pounds.
His massive size and the fact that he loves being held could be a source of a daily upper
body workout.
5.
His bright blue eyes are one of the breeds signature features.
But, although most sports the brilliantly blue eyes for which the Ragdoll is famous,
not all do.
His eyes can sometimes be a blue-green or a golden color depending on the coat variation
of the Ragdoll cat.
Ragdoll kittens are born with blue eyes, which can then either deepen, lighten or change
to a different color as the kitten ages.
4.
Aside from his plush fur and large body, the Ragdoll is known for his color-pointed coat.
The Ragdoll also comes in a variety of shades, ranging from seal (brown) and blue to red
and cream.
Variations like tortoiseshell and tabby markings are also common.
The Ragdoll comes in several patterns, including colorpoint (no white on his coat), bicolor,
and mitted (meaning he has white "mittens" on his paws).
Like the Siamese, the Ragdoll is born pale, and his coat gradually darkens into his permanent
hues as he grows older.
3.
In 1975 a husband and wife team, Denny and Laura Dayton, took a breeding pair of IRCA
Ragdolls and began breeding the currently favored Ragdoll standard.
The standard they developed was eventually accepted by major cat organizations such as
the Cat Fanciers Association and the Fédération Internationale Féline.
The largest international Ragdoll association is the Ragdoll Fanciers' Club International.
2.
The historic Algonquin Hotel in New York City started a tradition of a resident cat when
a stray named Rusty wandered into the landmark hotel in the 1930s.
The hotel's owner decided to adopt the cat and renamed him, Hamlet.
Over the decades, there have been 10 resident cats, with seven males and three females.
Since 2011, the reigning residential feline is a Ragdoll named Matilda III, who took over
the position from Matilda II, another Ragdoll.
Matilda III came to the hotel after she was found abandoned outside the North Shore Animal
League in Port Washington, New York.
She has the run of the entire hotel, except the dining areas and the kitchen, and even
hosts an annual charity event in the form of a cat fashion show.
1.
The Ragdoll is fascinated by water.
All forms of water hold his interest, but he is especially intrigued by the sound of
running water.
Unlike many other cat breeds, the Ragdoll may try to join you in bath or shower time.
Our general overview of the Ragdoll:
The Ragdoll gets along very well with children, as he doesn't mind being pet, cuddled and
held.
His docile demeanor makes him easygoing, and he even gets along with other cats and cat-friendly
dogs.
He is sometimes referred to as a "puppy cat" because of his canine-like behavior, which
includes following people from room to room and fetching toys that are thrown for him.
Despite the controversy of his origins and that he might be an alien, he's highly recommended
as a family-friendly pet.

OPINION: School Meals - Duration: 2:42.
Almost everybody who went to public school has a horror story to tell about
eating in the school cafeteria.
Remember mystery meat?
But let's face it: good food is essential to good health – and it's essential to
success at school.
That's why the federal government spends 14 billion dollars a year to feed breakfast
and lunch to 30-million students across the country, many of them are right here in Georgia.
And that's why I'm troubled by the Trump administration's decision to rollback Obama-era
rules – by promising to "Make School Meals Great Again."
Former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue – now the top guy at the Agriculture Department
-- is at the center of the effort, making the case that a million and a half kids throw
out their lunch every day because it doesn't taste good
– meaning they get no nutrition at all.
Perdue says the federal guidelines requiring more fruits and vegetables -- and limiting
sugar, salt and fat -- may have been well-intended, but he favors letting local districts decide.
To be fair, some of the changes Perdue proposes aren't really bad, like giving schools the
option to serve flavored, one-percent milk.
Since many school districts now serve non-fat flavored milk anyway, that's O.K.
What's not O.K. is allowing more salt in the food.
Under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, public schools first reduced sodium
in meals in 2014.
They were scheduled to reduce sodium levels even further during this (2017) school year.
But the feds are now delaying those planned reductions for another three years.
Too much sodium increases your risk of stroke, heart failure, stomach cancer and kidney disease.
One in three Americans will eventually develop high blood pressure because of it.
Our kids need us to look out for them – and to teach them about smarter choices.
And it's working, by the way.
Contrary to Perdue's claims about food waste, the school lunch program has grown more popular
with students -- and most of the nation's school districts are already complying with
the federal requirements, including about 98 percent of the districts in Georgia.
What's more, a 2015 government study showed that about 16 percent more students were choosing
vegetables and 23 percent more were choosing fruits.
That's why reversing the requirements for healthier meals for students
just makes no sense.
Here's the phone number and Twitter handle for Secretary Sonny Perdue
at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Let him know that the best way to make school meals great is to make sure the kids who are
eating them stay healthy.
I'm Lyle Harris and that's my opinion, like it or not.
In case you were wondering, the views represented in this segment are mine, and mine alone.
They're not those of FOX 5 Atlanta or any of its employees.
But I do want to know if you like it or not, and who knows,
maybe I'll respond to you on FOX 5.

How Gallup Coaches Can Help You Succeed Using CliftonStrengths - Duration: 5:00.
How Gallup Coaches Can Help You Succeed Using CliftonStrengths
[Jacque Merritt, Senior Workplace Consultant, Gallup] What I love is watching people transform over time. So it's interesting, when people get
into coaching, they almost feel that it's a selfish decision.
[Sue Bath, Senior Workplace Consultant, Gallup] I think people have to have coaches in their lives to create excellence.
[Rachel Maglinger, Senior Workplace Consultant, Gallup] So you've gotten this amazing assessment, but it doesn't stop there. You have
to be able to look at that and think about practical application. And sometimes that's hard to do as an individual, because you're still kind of learning
about what Strengths is all about. And I think what a great coach does is help those things come alive for you and really helping you think
about what are things that keep you up at night? What are things that you struggle with? When do you think your Strengths get in the way? How do
your Strengths get more optimized?
[Mike Kinney, Senior Workplace Consultant, Gallup] I help people sort through the challenges that they're facing, think through what's really
causing it as well as what are their goals that they have and what do they want to do. So I get them to think about it and then I provide them a
perspective based on who they are. So it's really thinking about who they are and how they do things naturally anyway. And sometimes their
eyes are just open of yeah, I do that. And they don't even realize that they're doing that all the time. And you just provide a perspective from
outside of the person that they start to see, okay, I've got this in me, I know I can do it, and now I've got some real specific ways of how I can. They
get an opportunity to do something that is already within them and we're just helping them to really highlight it and think about what they do.
[Nancy Oberst, Workplace Consultant, Gallup]We're always asking people to take some action. To do something. To take the first step.
[Cathy DeWeese, Senior Workplace Consultant, Gallup] We talk about goals. We talk about workplace challenges. And, through the
conversation and through some of the questions, they really, it gives them an opportunity to come up with some strategies to try. So now they
move from a space of being stuck to a space of oh, I've got some strategies. I've got a place, I've got some ideas, I've got some suggestions of
things to try, so I can go from this reality into this aspiration.
[Ryan Feagan, Senior Workplace Consultant, Gallup]I think the coaching that I provide to individuals and teams gives individuals, I think,
permission to really be themselves and have their own, perhaps their own style, their own method, their own ways of achieving particular things. I
believe it empowers them to deploy themselves in the best possible fashion. And I think it also gives them a sense of confidence in how they might
embrace a particular challenge or embrace a particular difficulty and be, well, more intentional in how they can, you know, get stuff done and
be more effective.
They're happier. And, because they're happier, they're more productive. Their quality increases. Their relationships increase. They want to just
be happier, healthier, more productive. It creates that ripple effect of wellbeing in their life. Everything gets better for them.
They quickly discover it's not just for them; that it really spills over into every aspect of their life. So they become better parents, better spouses,
better partners, better colleagues, better leaders, better managers. Watching them kind of step up into their responsibilities with more strength and
more confidence, more power, I think that's what I love about coaching.
You saved my job. You saved my family. No one's ever asked me that before. I've never thought about that before. Thank you for being
honest. Thank you for being direct. I know I'm a better leader. I know I'm a better manager. I know I treat people differently. I know I get better
results.
[Therese Nisbet, Senior Workplace Consultant, Gallup] The reality is when we know who we are, we are just going to be better at what we
do. So when we understand the dynamics of how we get things done or how we foster relationships or how we think, there's just
something magic when we understand who we are. Because it translates, then, into what we do every day. So having those conversations with
people, helping them think through really and truly what it is about them that gives them energy and fulfillment and having them put that into some sort
of practice as they think about what they do every day, that's a fun job.

just build out like a battle platform something just got scary red eyes he did
a really good job in this team this is one of it this is probably the coolest
Lego dinosaur I've ever seen in the wall I love how you could turn those arms to
carry somebody that is cool the shape of the enclosure is trained you only like a
Lego decided a triangular shape which is really cool like it should be the gate
it's awesome the jagged edges fit together

Big Tips with Mork! "Fuck it" Friday Edition - Duration: 2:37.
what's up MADLAB this is Mork here and this is another edition of fuckit Friday
and what I want to talk about in regards to fuckit Friday is two words that I
don't like hearing what my clients say it and that is I can't and the old the
old dad saying is I can't means I won't right so I have a particular client that
comes in and every time we try something new it's I can't do this I can't do that
I don't get it blah blah I don't understand right
so as far as leadership's concerned as a coach you have to you know sometimes
step back from the movement and explain you know why you think you can't do it
right explain to me why you can't do it right so so today we're going over
kettlebell snatches and I'm demoing I'm showing her we're talking mechanics and
she's doing it and every time she does one she just drops it and says I don't
get it I can't do it right I don't get it I can't do it she does another
one I said that was great right she says I don't get it so I never put the Bell
down and I say listen you're you're getting it just fine you're choosing not
to get it you're choosing not to understand because it's might be an
uncomfortable movement and you might not like it right but there's a lot of new
things that we're gonna do here as part of our fundamentals program that are new
and different and you're not gonna like everything chances are you're gonna come
in to workout and you're not gonna like anything we're doing for the day and
that's okay right the whole point of this is making sure that you're doing
things that are uncomfortable right that's the whole point of that getting
outside your comfort zone right so you're choosing to say I can't and I
won't right I don't get it why don't you get it I don't know I just can't do it
right so you're that's you not really understanding or
choosing not to understand okay everything that we're doing here has a
very positive impact on your fitness level right so just because you don't
understand it doesn't mean we're not gonna do it right
so you can say I can't I won't I'm not doing this all you want we're
still gonna do it chances are you come back from the next session and guess
what we're gonna start with the things that you said you couldn't do or have
issues with right so sometimes you got to be a leader you got to explain things
to your client even though they don't want to do something you know what's
best for them they can still do it and that's all I got for today all right
thanks guys fuck it Friday

Trump Just Royally ENRAGED Every Racist In America With AWESOME 3-Week Long Holiday He Created - Duration: 4:45.
President Donald Trump has been showing up to work to make America great again, every
day since he took office, no matter who is offended.
When you're the leader of the greatest nation in the world who doesn't apologize for our
country or care about the wrong people's feelings, you create a reason for Americans
to celebrate not just for one day, but three whole weeks, as recognized in the People's
House.
What makes this decision even better, is that it's infuriating all anti-Americans who
thought they called all the shots.
For the first time in eight years, the Muslim holiday of Ramadan wasn't recognized in
the White House or acknowledged in any flattering way by our president.
Trump realizes that this so-called "religion of peace" is responsible for taking thousands
of American's lives through cowardly acts of terrorism and doesn't plan to stop until
Islam rules the world.
He's not going to celebrate that or allow it while he's in charge.
He hasn't been shy about this but just made it even more clear with cancelling Ramadan
plans last month and starting a new celebration to replace it with this month, which is about
as awesome as it gets.
The White House hasn't looked as patriotic in recent years as it does this year.
It started with replacing rainbow lights that were once illuminated on the facade of the
People's House with red, white, and blue for Independence Day after cancelling plans
for Ramadan dinners and other events which glorify the Islamic faith.
However, now Trump just really stepped up his America is great game with a three-week
campaign showcasing the opportunities afforded to citizens of this great nation that are
unique to the U.S.A.
Each week of this celebration will have a separate and special focus.
The Conservative Tribune reports:
"The campaign will kick off on July 17 with a "Made in America" themed week, in which
United States jobs and products will be promoted, according to The Washington Post."
"Crafts and other items created in each of the 50 states will be on display at a showcase
hosted by the White House on Monday, with the president issuing a declaration Wednesday
on the importance of manufacturing products in the U.S."
"Helen Ferré, the White House director of media affairs, told reporters that during
the first week of the campaign, the Trump administration would honor 'the amazing
American workers and companies who have products that are made in America'."
"For too long our government has forgotten the American worker.
Their interests were pushed aside for global projects and their wealth was taken from the
communities and shipped overseas," Ferré said, according to ABC News.
"Under the leadership of President Donald Trump, not only will the American worker never
be forgotten, but they will be championed."
The first week to be recognized is referred to as "Made in America" week, followed
by, "American Heroes" week, and ending with "American Dream week," according
to the Daily Caller.
If there is anyone who truly understands industry, business, work, economy, and employment in
this country, it's Donald Trump who has personally been responsible for creating thousands
of jobs, both as a businessman and President of the United States.
Trump's experience as an incredibly successful businessman has benefitted the workforce and
economy, with huge booms to each.
What also makes America great and unique is the opportunity for each person in this country
to pursue their happiness and create their own personal success and that's certainly
something to celebrate.
The 3-week long celebration is beyond just jobs — it also entails recognizing American-made
products which is the lifeblood of our economy.
"In celebration of American-made products, Trump also plans to travel to Newport News,
Virginia where a new aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, will be commissioned on
July 22," Conservative Tribune's report continued.
"The planned weeklong campaign is further evidence of the president's dedication to
American jobs and workers and his pledge to bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S.,
as well as renegotiating trade deals that have been harmful to our country's businesses."
These three weeks of celebrating the opportunities in America and our heroes is a sharp contrast
to the former administration who glorified all things that wanted to destroy that.
Instead of criticizing the country at every turn and apologizing for it to our enemies,
Trump is honoring it for three whole weeks to show just how great America is and that
he's not going to let anyone take that away from us.
Since the mainstream media will ignore this, pass it along to let everyone know about this
important 3-part celebration for the next three weeks and just how awesome our president
is for recognizing it!
what do you think about this?
