hi I am Mohit Daga your instructor for this course. in this video we are going

to learn about the concept of speed, average speed and relative speed so

let's start. speed is defined as the distance covered per unit time it is

generally expressed in kilometer per hr or meter per second. Hmm then how to

convert kilometer per hour to meter per second. Well in 1 kilometer we have

thousand meter and in one hr we have 60 minutes and in one minute we have 60

seconds. so in 1 hour we have 60 into 60 seconds

therefore in 1 kilometer per hr we have thousand divided by 3600 meter per

second which can be reduced to 5 divided by 18 hence we can say that in 1

kilometer per hour we have 5 by 18 meter per second and in x kilometer per hr we

have X multiplied by 5 by 18 meter per second similarly if we have to convert

meter per second into kilometer per hr we can multiply it by 18 by 5. Now,

we will focus on average speed suppose you are going to your friend's place at

a speed of 10 meter per second for most of the distance and for remaining

distance at 5 meter per second then your average speed would be 10 plus 5 whole

divided by 2 which is equal to 7.5 meter per second. Ee ee eehh that's not correct to

explain it consider another situation where you are again going to your same

friend's home but this time for most of the part you traveled at a speed of 5

meter per second instead of 10 meter per second and for remaining part your speed

was 10 meter per second going by previous way of calculating average speed.

It would again be 7.5 meter per second but this time you would take

considerably more time for covering the same distance as for most of the part

your speed was half of the previous case. Here is the catch now, your distance and

speed as per the calculations are same so time needs to be same as per the

definition of speed. But it is not so, what is wrong then? The wrong thing is

that in the first place we didn't went by definition. See according to

definition your average speed should be total distance covered over total time

taken which means that average speed is equal to d1 plus d2 plus d3 and so on

whole divided by T1 plus T2 plus T3 and so on.

Now, it might be possible that in question T 1 T 2 etc are not given

instead speeds are given a different interval in this case you can change the

denominator by D 1 by v 1 D 2 by v 2 and so on. Note that this is also according

to the definition let's move on to relative speed now suppose that you are

moving at a speed of 5 meter per second and your friend is moving with a speed

of 10 meter per second then you can say that he is moving faster than you at a

speed of 5 meter per second and this is basic concept of relative speed it is

the speed of one moving object as observed by the second moving object if

the speed of the two moving objects are VA and VB then the speed of object a

with respect to object B is defined as V a V which is equals to VA minus VB it

means that you have to deduct the speed of that object with respect to which you

are deducing the speeds of other objects

The life of this woman was not an easy one from the very beginning.

Though, one of the worst things happened when she was 21.

At that time she had already had a three-year-old son named Matthew.

Unfortunately, Kris Smith didn't have anything to raise him, so she decided to give him for

adoption.

The woman thought that this way her boy will have a chance for a better life in a family

that will love and care about him.

Her story started in a foster house as well.

Later on, she was living in various families, but none of them treated the girl well.

Kris says that abusement was everywhere, and when she couldn't bear it any longer, she

ran away when she was 14 and started living on the streets.

It's no wonder that there was nothing positive in that period of her life, but for the news

that she was pregnant in 16.

Despite everything she left the baby and gave birth to him in August 1983.

It was Matthew.

She was worried and scared a lot, and to have a roof over their heads she was made to enter

into an abusive relationship with an alcoholic.

Her son was everything for her, but soon she got pregnant again, but the child died the

same day Matthew was born.

The only thing, it was three years later.

"I had to celebrate the life of one child and grieve the life of another on the same

day," Kris said.

"I fell apart."

It was the time when the woman made a desperate step.

She didn't have anything, no job, no apartment and thought that Matthew's life would be

much better with foster parents.

It was one of the worst moments of her life, but then she believed it was the right thing

to do.

For the next three years she was jobless and homeless, but one day it strikes her that

unless she acts now, she will die on the streets soon.

Luckily, Kris managed to find not only a job but also the love of her life, Joe Johnson.

The man had his child and they started living together.

The woman was craving to meet her son and called the Michigan Department of Social Services.

Kris had to overcome lots of procedures, meetings, and checkups until she was allowed to adopt

her son seven years after she lost him.

Aaron and Sarah Rinard tragically lost their son, Caleb, when he was almost 7 months old.

But thanks to his parents' amazing hearts, his memory lives on.

Baby Caleb passed away as a result of a birth injury in 2012.

In the years since, the Iowa parents have made a point to perform regular acts of kindness

in his honor.

"Every year, on his birthday and the anniversary of his passing, we go out to eat and leave

a big tip or pay for someone's meal," Sarah told Inside Edition.

September 2017, marked the year that Caleb would have started kindergarten.

The Rinards decided to do something very special to mark the occasion and continue spreading

their little boy's light in the world.

Remembering the path they would have been walking if they were taking their son to school,

the parents (along with the youngest son, 3-year-old Andrew) decided to make that walk.

"It was sad knowing we should be holding Caleb's hand and wondering what kind of

day he would have had or who his teacher would have been," Aaron said.

"We were grateful to be a part of the excitement that comes with the first day of school."

But they didn't just make the walk for the sake of it — they also brought along a little

red wagon, filled to the brim with boxes of school supplies.

This just in, from the land of laboratories: Women want more clitoral stimulation during sex, new research finds. This "no s - - t, Sherlock" study was conducted by the brilliant minds at the Indiana University School of Public Health.

There, scientists surveyed over 1,000 adult women, and "discovered" that 73 percent of them need or prefer direct clitoral stimulation during intercourse to achieve orgasm. These groundbreaking findings were published in the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy.

Asked to rank their favorite ways to receive stimulation to the sensitive spot, nearly 64 percent of women said they enjoyed an up-and-down touching motion, while 52 percent enjoyed circular motions.
