Bathing Is a Simple and Soothing Way to Detox – Here Are 10 Natural Bath Detox Recipes

By Dr. Josh Axe MARCH 27, 2018

Carving out alone time to de-stress, unwind, and meditate in our busy schedule can be tough.

Balancing family, work, and relationship obligations leaves little time to "indulge."

But allowing our bodies (and minds!) time to rest and rid themselves of toxins is essential

to staying healthy.

After all, if you're not feeling your best, you can't give anything — or anyone else

— 100 percent.

Toxins are poisonous substances that negatively affect our health.

We expose ourselves to toxins on a daily basis, from sources like pollution, processed foods,

and pesticides.

And when we don't release these toxins, it's reflected in our health and the way

we feel throughout the day.

That's why I'm such a fan of detox baths.

Detox Bath Benefits

While there are many ways to detox, one of the easiest and most relaxing is through a

detox bath.

The best part?

They're insanely easy to make at home.

You'll get all the benefits you'd find in a high-end spa bath at a fraction of the

price and in the comfort of your own home.

Using essential oils, which provide antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory benefits,

along with common household items like baking soda, Epsom salts and honey can help flush

impurities from the body by allowing it to sweat out toxins.

Ready to try your own detox bath?

Try one of these 10 homemade recipes.

They'll help your body get back into tip-top shape in no time.

I recommend doing a bath for about 40 minutes to an hour for best results.

The first 20 minutes will give your body time to remove toxins from your system while the

last 20 to 40 minutes will allow you to absorb the minerals in the water and help you emerge

from the bath feeling rejuvenated.

Make sure to use hot water — it'll help you sweat out impurities.

Bonus: Make a homemade present out of each of these recipes.

Store the ingredients in a mason jar, add a personalized label, and give to family and

friends for a homemade gift they'll love.

10 Detox Bath Recipes 1.

Green Tea Detox Bath Tea isn't just for drinking!

Add green tea to your bath and reap its healing benefits, including gaining more energy, increasing

antioxidant activity in the bloodstream and lowering cholesterol.

2.

DIY Eucalyptus and Vanilla Bath Salts Especially perfect around the holiday season,

these vanilla and bath salts are ridiculously easy to prepare and will leave you feeling

relaxed, moisturized, and at ease.

This recipe uses baking soda in addition to eucalyptus oil and Epsom salts, helping relieve

dry, itchy winter skin while detoxing.

3.

Ginger Detox Bath + Body Scrub If you're looking for a new way to incorporate

ginger into your routine, this detox bath is a great option.

Not only does ginger help with indigestion and nausea, it promotes regular digestion

and helps alleviate bacterial infections.

This super simple scrub recipe requires only fresh ginger, Epsom salts, and lemon, but it's

powerful — and leave you with silky skin!

Try sipping on ginger tea beforehand to really enhance the effects.

4.

Homemade Back Pain Bath Salts The staple of detox baths, Epsom salts hold

their own in nourishing benefits.

Because of its high magnesium and sulfate contents, Epsom salts help relieve sore muscles

and fight inflammation.

Combined with a variety of essential oils — this recipe uses peppermint, eucalyptus,

rosemary, lavender, and cinnamon — and dried herbs and flowers, your body and mind will

both thank you

5.

Calming and Detoxing Bath Salts This soothing mix combines dead sea salts

(you can find these at natural health food stores, but if you can't track it down,

feel free to eliminate; you'll still get great results); Epsom salts, which are loaded

with magnesium; mineral-rich real salt; detoxifying bentonite clay; and lavender and frankincense

essential oils.

Lavender will help calm and relax your mind and body,

while frankincense helps ease anxiety.

The result is a deliciously relaxing bath.

6.

Homemade Lemon Rosemary Bath Salts Fresh rosemary, lemon essential oil and fresh

lemon zest make these bath salts a great-smelling to detox and refresh at the same time.

Plus, rosemary oil has its own special powers: it helps improve memory, ease the digestive

system, and relieve aches and pains in your muscles.

7.

Homemade Milk Bath Powdered milk is the secret ingredient in

this easy, 3-ingredient milk bath detox recipe — use powdered coconut milk for an even

better-smelling version.

Add your favorite essential oil for added benefits and yummy scents.

8.

Lavender Detox Bath Recipe Lavender oil is a great all-around essential

oil.

Its soothing fragrance helps relieve anxiety and stress, it can help lull you to sleep,

and even improves eczema and psoriasis.

This lavender detox bath incorporates all these benefits into one handy bath recipe.

Best of all, it only requires three ingredients.

9.

Lavender Eucalyptus Bath Soak Eucalyptus oil has a variety of health benefits:

it helps fight colds, respiratory problems, and the flu; treats sinus and allergy symptoms;

and has antimicrobial symptoms.

Enjoy its therapeutic benefits in this eucalyptus and lavender soak.

Draw this bath on a cold day when you have the sniffles; with just four ingredients,

it's perfect for an evening pick-me-up.

10.

Simple DIY Almond Milk Bath You likely have all the ingredients you need

for this easy, soothing bath.

The coconut oil will make this smell divine.

And if you don't have almond milk on hand, substitute coconut milk instead.

I love the idea of using peppermint oil and wild orange for a bath that will leave you

feeling not only relaxed, but refreshed and ready to take on the day!

6 foods that prevent sleep - Duration: 3:42.

Health Network, For Public Health

Hi, you are listening to audio on mangyte.vn website

6 foods that prevent sleep

Sleeplessness has many implications for overall health.

Many people find ways to get a good night's sleep, but accidentally abuse the food that prevents sleep.

1. Tomato Sauce.

Tomato sauce in spaghetti, a food not sleepy.

Science proves that it not only causes heartburn for people with acid reflux, but also tyramine, an amino acid that stimulates the brain, triggers excitement and wakes up at night, unstable, unstable.

2. Chocolate.

In chocolate products containing caffeine, it can be a problem for those who do not regularly use it.

Chocolates also have a compound called theobromine, a stimulant that increases the heart rate, making it difficult for you to fall asleep.

However, if you are not ready to give up your favorite dessert, try a piece of white chocolate instead of other types of chocolates.

3. Alcohol.

Alcohol can make you fall asleep quickly, even as deeply as anyone can wake up.

However, according to a general assessment of the interaction of sleep and alcohol, alcohol is beneficial for the first cycle of sleep, but negatively affects the second half.

Irshaad Ebrahim, director of health at the London Sleep Center, said short-term and short-term effects of alcohol are, shortening the duration of sleep, causing insomnia, sleep deprivation.

4. Grilled beef.

Research has shown that eating saturated fatty foods, like a good piece of meat, can have a negative impact on sleep, especially deep sleep.

These foods also take a long time to digest, causing indigestion, which can make you have trouble sleeping.

5. Soda.

Drinking lots of soda water, means increasing the amount of caffeine in the blood, causing fatigue, excessive urination, heart palpitations and sleeplessness.

In addition, soda also contains many acids, when taken in the evening, will damage the stomach and esophagus.

Therefore, before going to bed, you absolutely should not use soda water to sleep better, deeper.

6. Water.

A glass of water before bed is good, and scientists also encourage water addition at this time.

However, you should not drink too much, because when the body excretes, it will cause you to urinate night, may be many times, interrupt and make sleep becomes flutter.

Instead, drink water during the day, when you wake up, or you can eat water-rich fruits such as kiwi, because water is a good source of serotonin.

Nací en Phoenix, Arizona en el dos de Octubre, dos mil dos. Mis padres son

Juliet y Patrick, y tengo tres hermanos, Emma,

Elise, y Kathleen.

"The Last Airbender" en la tele.

jugábamos "Dungeons and Dragons".

Especialmente, me gustaba ir

'Why Should I Respect You?' Sneak Peek | Bar Rescue (Season 6) - Duration: 2:53.

Jon: This place is just a mess, guys.

I wonder if Serena cares at all?

Or does Amanda care about the bar or her mother?

So you know me, guys, I've had this bar under surveillance

for the past three days.

I want you to watch how Serena and Amanda get along.

Watch this.

I throw whatever she says out of my ear,

because I'm just, I'm over it.

Ask any mother (BLEEP) person in here

what I (BLEEP) do every day.

Live the dream, bitch, live it!

You know? Grow up. She's so negative.

Because I had to be at your sorry (BLEEP) bar!

It's, like, no, you stupid (BLEEP) bitch!

So you know what?

Tell somebody else who (BLEEP) will believe your (BLEEP).

Then you wonder why I'm not up here every (BLEEP) night.

Because I can't (BLEEP) stand to be around her.

So, Amanda obviously resents

that she has to be there in the first place.

Serena obviously can't do this without her.

Now look at them. They don't even look in each other's eyes.

You can cut the tension with a knife.

We're never gonna fix this bar if I don't break that tension.

I'm gonna go in and do that.

-OK. -OK.

Hopefully I can get 'em to at least look at each other.

There's one blatant problem in this bar,

and that's the relationship of Serena and Amanda.

There is a tension between the two of them that I can feel.

You'll get your seat back, don't worry.

-Hello. -Hello, how are you?

Good, how are you?

When Jon first came in,

I was shocked that he was here tonight.

-Hello. -Hi.

Why don't you come talk to me with your mom.

Can you get her and come on over?

Amanda: Yes I will.

Jon walked in and I almost wanted to vomit.

I was very nervous.

Here, Amanda, sit here.

You've said things about her

that I could not imagine saying about a child.

There are times where I, you know, when I come up here,

she yells at me and says, "go home."

-Do this, and she'll say... -Because it's rude comments...

-...while I'm working. -...Right.

and I don't want that.

-I'll say something... -...but like there's...

-...and she doesn't want me... -...some times where...

Let her speak.

There's some times where you just get a little buzz on,

and you throw somethin' that's not even relevant

to what we're even dealing with or whatever,

and yeah, it's hurtful, it's bashing,

and yes it pisses me off,

and it makes me wanna tell you, "go home!"

-Which I do! -It's not even like that.

because it's not even like that

when I tell you to go home like that.

...I'm not even, like, trying to call you out

or be a butt to you...

-Yes you are. -No I'm not!

Because you can talk about one time...

Amanda: It's, it's, it's the...

Serena: And when you talk, it's, if it happened one time,

you make it sound like it happens every single day.

I didn't say that.

Is this the way it is? Does she just talk at you,

never let you speak? Is that the way it is?

That's how we both do each other.

Sometimes she says things

and then I try to be meaner than what she said.

And we can say the meanest things that you can imagine.

Well if you guys don't respect each other,

why should I respect you?

You're, you're exactly right.

So, you're more interested in upping each other's insults

than helping this bar. Is this what Lee would've wanted?

No.

You disrespect your own family legacy,

you disrespect each other, you disrespect the business,

and then you wonder why you're losing money.

Mountain Biker Tries Four Wheeling and Likes it - Duration: 10:24.

This weekend was an eye opening experience.

I've been off roading twice before.

Once with an experienced driver in Moab.

And then again in moab, driving a rented jeep.

I had a lot of fun both times.

But this weekend was different.

We didn't know where we were going, vehicles were getting stuck, stuff was breaking, and

people were massacring their underwear.

Upon seeing this side of four wheeling I realized I had been missing out on half the fun.

It all started when my friends Nick and Jep came through Asheville for a visit.

They were on their way to Tennessee to use all this stuff, and tempted me to come along.

With my wife out of town, it would mean I'd need to bring the boys with me.

Bosco is a sporting pup, but Drama...not so much.

It would be interesting to see how he did.

So we set out to none other than Windrock mountain, home to every offroad vice that

exists.

Yep, this is the same Windrock that has year round downhill mountain biking, and the venue

that hosted the Pro Grt in March.

Nick and Jep rode the downhill park for a day while I followed the doctor's orders

and stayed off my bike.

Having ridden here before, I always wondered what the other 73,000 acres of this private

mountain had to offer.

With a cabin full of like minded individuals, I'd be able to experience those acres the

best way possible.

—Interview with nick and jep—

Like mountain biking, four wheeling encompasses

a vast abyss of terms, techniques, and best practices.

Also like mountain biking, everyone postpones their repairs until the last possible second.

On most trails you can just drive and follow the vehicle in front of you.

If you've driven a mud puddle or mound, you've more or less driven them all.

But on rougher trails things are less predictable.

—almost flipped jeep—

I've heard it said that getting stuck is half the fun.

For

the remaining vehicles, we used a spotter.

A spotter is someone outside who works with the driver to plan a line.

A good spotter can mean the difference between safe passage and a damaged vehicle.

These instances reminded me of riding mount Fromme in Vancouver.

Each feature was so crazy that we all dismounted and coached each other one by one.

Four wheeling is more or less always like this if you're pushing your vehicle's

limits.

Today I've been using the terms four wheeling, offroading, and jeeping interchangeably, but

technically jeeping refers to the driving of Jeeps only.

On that day we were most definitely Jeeping.

Our group drove a mix of Jeep Cherokees, Wranglers, Comanches, and even a Crewmanchie?

I'll bet you've never seen one of these, unless you're already following kenny.

This is a two door Jeep Comanche pickup, built through the late 80s and early 90s.

This is a 4 door jeep cherokee SUV, built through the early 2000s.

These two vehicles smeashed in kenny's garage, and out came a four door crew cab comanche,

dubbed the Crewmanche.

Kenny's creation has gotten him some well deserved fame in the jeeping community, and

that was before the crewmanchie was even finished.

This was its first time offroading, and this is probably the first good video of it in

action.

In many instances it was the most capable vehicle there.

Also doing quite well was Drama, happy as a clam and cool as a cucumber.

He rode shotgun in the crewmanche for all but the gnarliest climbs while his buddy Bosco....was

not doing quite as well.

As the day wore on, I saw more and more reasons why my audience of mountain bikers seems to

have a lot of overlap with the jeeping crowd.

Besides the obvious similarities with four wheeling like being in the woods, mountain

biking is also about challenging yourself, learning new routes, and pushing your equipment

to its limits.

It's also about having a great time with friends, and trusting one another.

But as we got deeper into the woods and continued to lose sunlight, we were wondering how the

hell we were going to get home.

We'd have to choose one of these hills and get everyone up it, or turn around and go

back the way we came.

One feature of true offroad vehicles is the ability to lock the hubs.

Notice how all four wheels of this comanche turn at the same rate, beasting it up this

muddy hill.

And notice how this wrangler is stuck in one spot, with the passenger side front wheel

just sitting there.

In these situations it's nice to have a winch.

A winch a mechanically driven spool of cable that can pull you or someone else out of just

about anything.

One

by one, the whole troop made it up the muddy climb, and it was finally time for nick and

I

to send it.

We were still far from finished.

Inch by inch, obstacle by obstacle, we made our way up windrock mountain.

—jeeping, dialogue, montage—

By the end of the day, I had experienced real four wheeling—not the sterilized car advertisement

version where everything goes as planned.

Although I only have the time and money for mountain biking, I'll certainly come along

on expeditions like these whenever the opportunity arises.

And of course, I can't wait to get back to windrock for some two wheeled fun when

my wrist heals.

If you liked the crewmanche, you can see it grow and evolve on Kenny's Instagram.

I'm sure he'll be posting some pictures and clips from the Windrock trip soon.

Thanks for four wheeling with me today, and I'll see you next time.

A TIGHT SLAP OF REALITY! - Duration: 4:58.

"I will not waste my time again " How many times have you said this to yourself?

Before going through the article, do this introspection.

How many times have you thought of not wasting your time?

How many times you have instructed yourself to not do this again?

How many times you have taken support fo self-help books and videos?

Does that help?

I don't think so, probably that's why you are reading this.

So, this article is a kind of reality test, an eye-opener .

The simplest reason why you haven't changed till now is that you have done everything

till now except, studying yourself.

You want to make your day a success, you have some goals assigned for yourself but you are

unable to accomplish those goals.

This is because of the reason that its now in your behaviour to run away from the responsibilities.

Just think over this, whenever there was a deadline for an assignment, for some work,

or some exam, one thing and the very first thing you did was counting the number of days

from today till the deadline.

Now thinking about the days, you become happy by encouraging yourself that sufficient time

is left for preparing for that deadline so right now I can waste this much amount of

time in some bull shit activities like relaxing, chilling out etc.

My friend, the reality is this that you are choosing to waste time today and how can you

think that you are going to change…suddenly … when the time will come!

You are going to conquer all the tasks!

So let me tell you what you already know … this is a fine quality crap that you are selling

yourself.

This happens with everyone, especially students during examinations or during some assignments

and when these students enter into adulthood, they carry this legacy of habits with themselves

and procrastinate in everything they do or they want to do…

When you have so much time for yourself, for your goals, it doesn't matter how much you

score, it matters how much you have learnt to do hard work, how much you have understood

yourself…Beside everything, you don't take it as an opportunity, you take it as

pressure.

You keep on thinking that I have these many days left and these many days I can procrastinate.

This is CHEATING.

Cheating on yourself and whom don you think you are cheating…Yourself?

What is that thing for which sparing time is so much important than your personally

assigned goals?

So it seems your dreams are so small in from of the activities like Chatting, Facebooking,

Watching funny videos on YouTube, just lying around, sleeping, watching tv shows etc.

The truth is that you will do hard work only when there is some pressure on you, time or

performance pressure. When this time bound pressure exerts, you are left with no options.

What does this tell you about your behaviour?

STOP asking yourself, why I am like this, why waste my time rather START asking proper

questions as to – Where is my time going?

You can make thousands of plans but you will not succeed in any of these unless you start

asking yourself the right questions. The right question is this –

How do I waste my time?

Where is my time going?

Stop blaming yourself as it will drench you more and more into the feeling of guilt where

you will further and further drown.

Do you think that this is an actual study?

No, throw that away!

Its just bookish knowledge and it won't help you unless and until you do this … Study

Yourself!

Understand Yourself!

Actual study will happen eventually but you have to understand yourself first.

When you procrastinate or do some other activity while you must be focussing on your goal,

this is A CRIME SCENE where you ran away from your goal.

BTW, How does anyone, for that matter, investigate a crime?

By analysing the root cause, obviously.

The root cause of any crime is found out by evidence, so you have to find the evidence,

as to where your time is going.

First, you have to look for evidence, then only it can be rectified.

The points you have to consider are as follows –

Stop relying on pressure to move your butt.

Stop telling your mind that lazy people are born intelligent and you will be hired anywhere

(BTW….Bil Gates never said that) The one who does hard work, yields results,

as simple as that.

By relying on pressure, your habits are going to change and you will work only when there

is pressure developed to move on to your work.

Pressure is never good for performance.

My friend, do work, great work, achieve your goals.

Now it up to you to think, How do you want to spend your only live?

By procrastinating or by Conquering.

I prefer the second one …

Risky Decision To Expose Michelle Obama Live on Air Puts Judge Jeanine In Hot Water - Duration: 11:06.

Risky Decision To Expose Michelle Obama Live on Air Puts Judge Jeanine In Hot Water

The issue for Michelle Obama?

Judge Jeanine Pirro had a comment about her sickening remarks.

She had enough of Michelle Obama's unneeded remarks and wasn't hesitant to let the world

know precisely how she felt.

Michelle Obama was cited saying "see, now, we are feeing what not having trust feels

like.

You know.

Expectation is fundamental.

It's an important idea and Barack didn't simply discuss trust since he thought it was

a decent trademark to get votes.

He and I thus numerous accept, what else do you have when you don't have trust?"

In actuality, Michelle, President Trump has given our nation to seek we had been absent

after eight long years.

Trump is a man who has been working for a considerable length of time to improve the

world a place for everybody, and for Michelle Obama to assert that with Trump in control

there is no expectation is totally over the top.

Judge Pirro didn't ignore Michelle Obama's remarks.

She expressed "you carried on with an existence few can even envision at the bastion of energy

and glory on the planet.

You and your better half, honored by God, and the American individuals, with the interesting

and notable chance to not just lead America from that sparkling spot on the slope yet

affect Americans and give them trust basically no others can.

Now that you're leaving, trust is no more?"

This was the brutal reality that Michelle Obama expected to hear.

Judge Pirro went ahead to state "trust is when individuals, 30 thousand at any given

moment remain in line in the harsh elements with their youngsters wanting to get a look

at a man they think can change the course of their lives from the descending winding

that you and mister expectation and change have put them on.

I'll reveal to you what expectation and change is.

Expectation and change is when individuals show up 20 thousand in number after a race

urgent to see the man who really brought back employments to just about a thousand people

when your better half said it was outlandish."

I couldn't have said it better myself, Judge Pirro.

By what method can Michelle and Barack be so unmindful to surmise that Americans wouldn't

in the long run begin seeing through their veneers?

The video beneath demonstrates Judge Pirro clarifying her perspective on Michelle's

remarks… and she positively didn't keep down.

Taking on Roles | ASL Ponderings - Duration: 4:58.

I want to try and do this in as little editing as possible, just so I can be finished with this.

It's a short video anyway. So, hello, I'm Rogan and welcome.

Today I want to talk about something I noticed while I was doing captions.

I saw it and thought, "Hey that might be good for putting in ASL Ponderings."

How to explain this...

I noticed this specifically when I was doing captions on my book videos.

That specific thing made me realize, "Oh, yeah."

So. In English, if you were describing a book you would--I'll use the example of what I was captioning.

I was talking about the graphic novel, Black Panther. In that book, if you described it in English, you would say:

This book is about a king who has a whole country, he has figure out his duties, his morals, making sure

those don't conflict, how he approaches that. That's in English, how you would say it pretty much.

But in ASL... Often, I'll be signing, and talking about a story, I will unconsciously, in the back of my mind,

just take on the role of whoever I'm describing. So, if I was saying it:

This book, Black Panther, is about a king, who's king of a whole country. I have to...my duties, my people,

how I deal with that. So I take on the role, I "become" the king.

This is a thing in ASL, when you usually describe something--a book, a story, a person--you'll take

on the role of THAT person, THAT story. You don't just speak from the outside.

You make yourself part of the story. So I just thought that was a little, little interesting thing.

Yeah, I know this is a really short video, but I just wanted to throw that out for people who are learning ASL,

and ask those who do sign, did you notice that?

We do that all the time, we don't even think about it, we just take on the roles. So yeah.

I guess that's it for today, a lot shorter than I was expecting! Okay, cool.

Let me know what you thought about this, and what do you want to see me do for videos coming up?

I do plan to do my March (books) wrap up soon, it may be the next video, I'm not sure yet.

What else?

Oh, yes. This weekend, I will be going down to Seattle for the Seattle Deaf Film Festival.

I will be going only one day in the afternoon, Saturday afternoon.

Because I did think about getting a weekend pass, but.... Eh.

So, what I did buy tickets for is two things. First, UK films.

So there will be a music video, comedy, a relationship thing - I don't remember, and one I'm very excited about.

"The Silent Child," the one that just won an Oscar. I will be going to see that, so I'm excited for that.

Yes, all of them are in BSL. No problem for me, I'll understand fine without captions.

They will have captions of course, but just--it will be nice to see something in another language that I understand.

And... the second ticket I bought is for Reverse Polarity, by DPAN. I'm really excited for that.

I've been WAITING to see this. So! That is a thing that is happening. I MAY do a vlog, but I really doubt it.

The point is, I'm going to Seattle for a film festival, a deaf film festival. Cool. That's an update.

Yeah, I'm going to cut myself off, because if I don't, I'll just ramble, so.

The Inner Game of Succeeding as a Business Analyst - Duration: 8:44.

This is Laura Brandenburg, the creator of Bridging the Gap.

Today, I wanted to talk about inner game stuff.

I'm going to read from "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Wattles.

The book was given to me by my mentor, Amira Alvarez.

There was a piece in here when I read this book, I was like, my community - we need to

hear this!

I felt I would be doing you a disservice if I did not immediately take that and get that

out to you.

So, here we go.

"The man who is certain to advance is the one who is too big for his place and who has

a clear concept of what he wants to be, who knows that he can become what he wants to

be, and who is determined to be what he wants to be.

Do not try to fill more than your present place with a view to pleasing your employer.

Do it with the idea of advancing yourself.

Hold it in such a way that every person who comes into contact with you, whether foreman,

fellow workmen, or social acquaintance, will feel the power of purpose radiating from you

so that everyone will get the sense of advancement and increase from you.

People will be attracted to you and if there is no possibility for advancement in your

present job, you will very soon see an opportunity to take another job."

At Bridging the Gap, we help people get started in business analysis careers.

This getting started, this advancing in a career role, this going from where you are

now to doing business analysis in a bigger and better way, or doing it for the first

time, this is about what that first part was of advancing, of being too big for your current

place.

If you're feeling frustrated by some of the work that you're doing today, what you're

really feeling is too big for your current place.

This is a sign that it's time for you to grow.

It's a time for you to grow.

How do you do that?

A lot of times we wait for an organization to come to us and say, "Can you do something

else?

Can you do this special thing?"

What is important from what's in here is that we hold it in such a way that every person

who comes in contact with you will feel that purpose radiating from you.

This is why, if you want to get started as a business analyst, learn all the techniques.

Absorb that learning.

See yourself as a business analyst right now.

Start to radiate that from the inside out.

Then people will start to see that and will start to see you as a business analyst as

well.

That last part is really important.

Some of you are in organizations where it kind of feels like the cards are stacked against

you.

There's not a lot of growth, not a lot of opportunity, or it's just an icky environment

for whatever reason.

And, so, trusting that if there's not a possibility or an opportunity that unfolds

in your current role, that same work, that same way of filling more than your space and

radiating out that sense of purpose is going to help you find an opportunity in another

organization.

Some of the practical ways we see people do that is by volunteering and taking extra responsibilities

above and beyond their current job role by not working within the profession and meeting

other business analysts.

The kind of things that put you in contact with people, that, because you're radiating

that new sense of purpose, have that opportunity to see that in you and help you take that

next step, and create those tentacles and things that will create that new reality for

you on the outside, like you see yourself on the inside.

I just wanted to share that with you.

I think it's an important part of our inner game.

As we think about how do we move forward in our careers?

How do we always be taking that next step and advancing our careers and, of course,

getting the salary, and the responsibilities, and the authority, and the reputation, and

all the good stuff that comes with that.

In our profession, we see a lot of people go for certifications to get this external

view of, "That person's really credentialed," or "That person must know what they're

doing.

They've got their CBAP®.

They've got their PBA.

They've got their PMP."

Whatever that is.

I have my CBAP®.

I'm not against certifications, but I don't think they have that effect that we really

want them to have.

So, they can have this false sense of, "Oh, now I have my CBAP®, now what?"

People aren't magically knocking on my door offering me tons of business analyst opportunities.

The interesting thing is the people who take that application process to the CBAP® super

seriously, like super seriously, and allow it to not just be an academic process, but

to be a process of, "Look at all this stuff that I've done in business analysis."

If you're not familiar with the application process, you go through this entire book for

the CBAP®, the BABOK® Guide version 3.

It's quite thick - a few hundred pages.

You need to, as part of the application, show how your experience lines up with what's

in that book.

When you do that, and not just an academic, "Somebody said I could kind of fudge it

this way," but an actual appreciation of your skills.

That gives you that presence of, "look at how awesome I am."

It feels like my current place and my present place.

It gives you that sense of purpose that allows you to radiate out that energy and that confidence

because now you're like, "I've actually done a lot of what's in that book.

Ha, look at that."

And, so, the confidence comes as a result of that.

The confidence comes as a result of realizing the value of your skills and believing it

on the inside.

Then, the CBAP®, once you take the exam and finish your application and prepare for it,

the preparation process also feeds into that.

Now, you're learning it on a completely nuanced level and applying what you've learned.

The best way that I've seen people apply for the CBAP®, and what I did, was take every

little piece in that book (I did version 2), and how does that relate to my own personal

experience, and how can I internalize what that book is telling me about business analysis

through the filter of my own experience so that it locks stuff in.

What I'm doing when I do that is appreciating the value of my own skills and my own experience

and cementing, for myself, how much I know about business analysis.

Then you go through all that, and then you get the letters behind your name, but then

you can own them too, because it means something to you and you've experienced that transformation

along the way, that confidence that it comes from just knowing your skills.

Inner game work is super important in career advancement.

We teach a lot of the outer game stuff in our training.

How do you do business analysis?

What do these terms mean?

How do you put together requirements models?

All of that is important, but the inner game stuff is what allows you to take that learning

and make sure it creates new career opportunities for you in your work environment.

Just wanted to share this message with you.

Thank you for being part of Bridging the Gap.

Have a great week.

We help you start your business analysis career, inner and outer game.

How to Prevent Careless Mistakes in Maths Exams Part 2 - Duration: 6:08.

hey guys and welcome to another Friday special maths tip where again we cover

how to prevent careless mistakes in maths exams part two

be sure to check out part one from last week if you haven't sorry for not being

in the video today I know my sexy face makes these videos better so I'll put a

picture of me in the corner so it's as though I'm still here alright let's get

started

hope you guys like the new intro make sure to tell me below in the comments

when it comes to preventing careless mistakes the number one strategy is to

have a special strategy on how to complete maths exams, before you walk into

that exam you know what your plan of attack for the exam will be so in this

video I'll show you my plan of attack that helped me succeed in maths in high

school and university, is this the best plan well once you've learned to execute

it properly with lots of practice then it is definitely one of the best

the first thing you need to know before starting the exam is what mark you want

to get in that exam if you're not aiming for hundred percent and that means you

don't need to complete every question you have room to sacrifice marks in

order to achieve your desired mark say you want eighty five percent then you

only need two attempt 85 to 90 percent exam and get pretty much all those marks

right and sacrifice the other 10 to 15% you can't do, people not aiming for

hundred percent often waste so much time on lots of really hard questions they

don't even need to answer in order to reach their desired mark so with that in

mind let's go over the order in how to do your maths exam

let's start with reading time in reading time skim over multiple-choice questions really quick

and go over to short answers and ask yourself as you read each question do I

know how to do this straightaway your answer should be yes or no a maybe

means no you want to make mental notes of all the yes questions because once

reading time is over that's what you start with let's now consider the next

problem you may encounter and that's the umm... questions these are the ones you just

stare at the page and have absolutely no idea how to do

let's now summarize how to do the exam now once you can start, Firstly skip

multiple-choice and go do every yes question first some multiple-choice are

worth a lot of marks and are a waste of time so you want to leave those towards

the end once you've gone through all the short answers as say you have a minute

left and you have a whole 15 marks of short answers to do vs 10

multiple-choice you can guess the multiple-choice and get them right but

won't be able to do many of the short answers when you go through and do all

the yes questions that means you probably won't be doing the paper in

order and that's fine just make sure that underline not circle the questions

you're skipping for now as you can come back to those later once you complete

all yes questions go back and attempt every other short answer you

skipped if you come across an um question where you're just staring at it for 30

seconds plus or just really have no idea circle it and move on if you're not

aiming for hundred percent then this can be a sacrifice question if you're sure

you're going to sacrifice it put a line through the whole question to indicate

nah I ain't doing you next go through and do it multiple choice now that you

have covered all short answers you can do now at this stage you are not yet going

to reattempt any of the circled questions you couldn't do you're

actually going to go back and recheck your answers to all short answers that

you've done now first off any prove or show questions you were able to do you

won't have to recheck those as the answer is there but when it comes to

rechecking answers you need to get scrap paper and redo the actual question

without looking at the previous working when you normally check over an answer

you don't always spot those careless errors so make sure you're not

contaminated by previous working you redo it on scrap paper you then compare

if the answers are the same and you can move on to the next one if the answers

do not match you will have to again redo it but only after you recheck all answers

unless you spot where you made a mistake now by this stage you should have

checked all answers you've done are correct meaning that you should have a

hundred percent for what you've attempted so far now at this stage you can

reattempt the umm... questions but if you're getting nowhere then check to see

if you've attempted enough to get your desired mark and just sacrifice that

question next you can recheck multiple-choice

followed by rechecking the questions you did in the previous step now if you

still have time left by here then you should have your desired mark by now

meaning you can either do nothing and wait till the exam is over or re attempt

the questions you sacrifice again rere check the other short answers now this

process may seem daunting and there's no way you'll have time to do all this that's

why it's important to practice this method at home numerous times first your

first time doing this should not be in an exam if we go back a few weeks ago in my

video on studying for maths exams the last phase was doing past papers in exam

mode this is the time to adapt this strategy and make sure to practice it

numerous times adapt this strategy as early as possible from even year 8 or 9

definitely by year 10 that means once you get to year 12 you'll be an expert at

doing maths exams I hope you enjoyed this video and start practicing this

strategy now make sure to give us a like comment below what you thought also make

sure to subscribe and turn on those Bell notifications to know when future

awesome content is released I'll be uploading a new channel trailer soon to

showcase the epic updates I'll be adding to this channel so make sure to look out

Are You Conquering? - Duration: 2:54.

Jesus calls us to triumph over evil, to destroy the works of the devil and to build His kingdom.

Jesus calls us to victory, not to defeat.

If we follow Jesus and we remain in Him we are more than conquerers, because He goes

ahead of us and He is in us.

Most professing Christians are losers.

They cannot even stop sinning.

They say we are all sinners.

They are slaves to sin.

They have no selfcontrol, they cannot contain the lusts of their flesh.

They are compromisers.

They are fearful, giving in to satan without resistance.

They say they believe in Jesus and they believe they are saved but they are no different from

the world.

They search the scriptures and study the end time prophecies, predicting the sudden return

of Jesus.

They hope for a rapture, for Jesus to pick them up and fly them to heaven before the

great tribulation starts.

They are deceived and lost.

lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God.

They just believe in Jesus, but they do not follow and obey Him.

That is why they are powerless against the devil.

They are not conquering.

They are not building the kingdom of God and they will have no inheritance in the kingdom

of God.

We have to follow Jesus, then we will conquer, overcome and win.

We read in Revelation 21:7 "He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his

God and he will be My son.

8"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons

and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns

with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Are we conquering?

Are we overcoming?

Are we following Jesus?

May Jesus bless you.

Jesus is alive and hell is real.

I am here to introduce you to Jesus Christ so that you can know Him, follow Him and have

eternal life.

May Jesus bless you.
