Welcome back here in my YouTube Channel.
Here we go celebrating + 1.000 subscribers :-)
I got a little giveaway for you and lets have a look back from the beginning of our Ron reviewt channel up to now.
Also a few words about my gaming history started with Atari, C64 and Amiga 500 in the mid 1980`s.
Some of you asked me how to support our channel. I´ll mention aspects about that.
Great to have you here ... enjoy your stay @ Ron reviewt.
Ron reviewt started end 2016 because of one buddy of mine.
He wanted to join simracing but he didnt find detailed stuff on the internet featuring german spoken simracing content.
So he asked me to create detailed reviews to check out simracing stuff in our mother tongue.
As you know Fanatec CSL Elite released end 2016.
And simultaneously I decided to get some stuff running here @ YouTube.
What happened since beginnings up to now ...
I uploaded 20 reviews ... they have been clicked about 140.000 times ...
Most often clicked Rennsport Cockpit vs. Playseat review with about 27.000 clicks at the moment.
Ratings increased ... as shown on the screen ...
69/0 ... 50/1 ... 113/2 ... 21/0 ... and your commentaries multiplied.
As you know I tried to give feedback contemporary and giving support as possible.
We also decided implementing some new features in our channel.
One of them were community talk a few weeks ago to get in contact with you and appreciating your awesome feedback.
Also channel news got on the start to keep you updated monthly and feedback/ratings/commentaries were great.
A few words about my personal gaming history to let you know some aspects of our channel content.
I´ll let you know why simracing and VR got that mainly part in our channel.
Check out channel news 03-2018 (link above) to follow my aspects in terms of personal gaming history and future.
Some content of my beginnings in the 1980`s.
First handheld was Donkey Kong ...
... and after that games like Lotus Esprit challenge, stunt car racer or F-zero on Amiga 500, C64 and co.
And yes ... a lot of racing with SNES and F-Zero ... great times.
Followed by NFS Porsche @ PlayStation One if I remember correctly.
A few months ago I mentioned why I´got a little bit racing addicted.
About 15 years ago I´ve been racing in real life with Superbikes on racetrack.
And thats the reason why still loving all that racing stuff and beyond.
Some years later I was a little bit filled up with all that casual content.
No words about VR consumer market these days and I decided to quit my gaming hobby.
But 3D Vision crossed my way and I was infected of this immersion playing games.
I bought a little 24" 3D Vision monitor and left all that 2D gaming behind.
To be honest Id call myself an immersion junkie and that kept me going playing computer games a few years ago.
And once again ... no german spoken community in terms of stereoscopic computer gaming.
So I decided in 2012 to create some content @ computerbase.de to get in touch with other 3D Vision followers.
This 3D Vision thread has been clicked about 500.000 times up to now and about +5.000 commentaries have been posted. Awesome.
I got some networking to english spoken GeForce 3D Vision forum on the way and our thread developed to biggest german spoken 3D Vision community on the internet.
And besides thatI had an eye on Virtual Reality.
Check out my first VR review in 2014 comparing Oculus DK2 and 3D Vision Surround technology.
Getting 3D Vision running was a big effort with GTX 480 SLI for example.
Reviewing Oculus DK2 was a little bit wired.
Potential of VR were great in 2014 but I was fighting with different problems like pixel density, motion sickness and other aspects.
A few years later Oculus CV1 has been released and I purchased CV1 a few months after release.
This time our channel grew and I implemented some VR reviews like 365 days Oculus Rift vs. PSVR ... check link above.
I kept you updated in terms of Simracing and Virtual Reality and justified my reasons that this features belong together.
A few words about VR and if you´d call this a gimmick or not.
My point of view is pretty different and I´ll let you know that VR is just awesome when you grew up with computer gaming in the 1980`s.
Turning to my right looking at my Simracing cockpit driving a few laps @ Nordschleife via VR ... wow ... what happened in the last 25-30 years.
Dont get me wrong ... VR is far away from running perfectly in 2018 ... but this kind of awesome immersion blows you away.
So I decided to continue playing computer games and as you know I´m one of about 6.000 Pimax 8K backers and I´m looking forward to join Next Gen VR.
A few words about my Giveaway ...
... maybe you guess whats next if you followed our previous reviews ... my beloved cup is looking for a new owner.
I mentioned this C64 cup after breaking + 500 subscribers in my Simracinggames review ... check it out ;-)
This YouTube random comment picker will choose one of you in our next review.
We´ll see where my C64 cup moves in ... Europe, United States, England ... well see ...
... only thing you got to do is posting a comment below and we´ll check out if you had luck in our next review.
Stay tuned to see whats next and I´ll get in contact with you to share delivery adress if you are the winner of my mighty cup ;-)
Some of you asked for possibilities supporting our channel.
Some subscribers mentioned that they appreciate creating content like these would desire increasing lots of more clicks and subscribers.
After breaking +1.000 subscribers YouTube unlocks monetization ... I think this will happen in the next weeks.
One possibility supporting our channel is clicking advertisement in future as you like.
Another subscribers mentioned Patreon to get supported by voluntary donors.
But Patreon is a kind of monthly donation and I dont know if this will work @ Ron reviewt.
Leave your comments below to let me know about your thoughts.
My suggestion is leaving some commentaries in well known channels with thousands of subscribers ...
... let them know that cooperation is appreciated or use your usual channels like Facebook or Instagram to post some messages about our channel.
Also posting commentaries in Fanatec, Logitech or Thrustmaster forums would be welcome pushing our channel.
As I mentioned in previous reviews I got all these other stuff like Logitech DFGT, G27, Thrustmaster T500 etc. years ago ...
But that was long before creating YouTube content.
So I got no sponsoring bucks for reviewing and its up to me buying or lending all that stuff and I would appreciate cooperating with some companies in terms of simracing, virtual reality and beyond.
If some money came in, it would be much easier purchasing stuff that I do not need but this stuff could be interested to be reviewed or compared to my simracing and VR equipment.
Community talk live and unfiltered ...
g g asked me about my recommendations referring to purchase VR equipment.
Thats pretty complicated at the moment after Vive Pro announcment and incoming Pimax 8K.
Vive Pro marks high end in 03-2018 but think about highly costs and dont forget purchasing peripherals like lighthouse and controllers.
Devices like Oculus CV1 or Vive 1 can be lend here in europe or maybe youre thinking about purchasing Oculus CV1 bundle for about 400 bucks.
Willsnone mentioned Ready Player One ... and we were talking about this toppic in our previous channel news 03-2018 ... check it out.
Andrew asked about table mounting of CSL Elite.
I got this running before switching to my Rigs and yes Andrew, table mounting is working well but dont forget your table stability in cause of 6 Nm torque of CSL Elite Wheel Base.
Martina asked if laptimes increases after upgrading from CSL Elite to CSP V3 pedals.
I´ll let you know thats slightly noticeable but upgrading Wheel Base from CSL Elite to CSW V2 for example would make more sense in terms of laptimes.
The Cobrius appreciated our channel but mentioned to get more content to be reviewd.
Please let me know about your thoughts and well get some new stuff on the way if possible.
Also a few words about critical comments ... and believe me ... I appreciate your critical comments to improve myself.
STR criticized one of my first review and yes, youre dedintely right. Long intro, shaking camera, low light ...
So Id like to mention to be patient with all that YouTube beginners ... give them space and time to learn and grow ...
So STR I hope you stayed tuned checking out previous reviews and I think reviewing was getting better and better after implementing your feedback all the time.
Thinking back to my first reviews ... yes, they were ugly and I often thought about deleting them ... but no ... its part of developing myself and thats ok so far.
Only thing right from the start was detailed reviewing up to now ... and I want to stick to that in future reviews.
Lets have a look whats next in a few weeks ...
... Pimax 8K incoming to be compared to Oculus Rift ... and for sure McLaren GT3 wheel ...
... and Assetto Corsa Competizione will be an important toppic in the next weeks.
I´ll let you know that cooperating with you is very satisfying to me and I appreciate your likes, commentaries and suggestions pushing our channel on and on.
Besides that I got social liabilities, a full time job and lots of sports ... but its definitely worth to keep our channel going.
Thanks a lot and lets see whats next ... who wins the cup ;-) ...
Thumbs up and commentaries would be great ...
... please subscribe and hit the subscribing button appearing in a few seconds ...
... nice to have you here ... with finest regards ... Ron.
