Hello Indie Game Lovers, Nerds and Nerdettes my name is Feniks and this is the Indie Game
News.
Before we start remember to check video description for additional information.
Today we look at Tycoon genre.
We start this month with updates of last month
Academia School symulator has seen some good updates this month.
Developers added Guidance Counselor.
Back in a day detention and punishment were tools for teaching students how to behave.
In modern school we understand that punishment is not the most effective method.
Your students will be able to attend counseling sessions to help the work through their issues
at school.
Of course detention is a cheaper option and is still available for the players as alternative.
Another new addition is cutting classes.
Some students will attempt to skip classes and avoid education altogether, keeping your
students in school will no require vigilance to catch those escapees early.
In addition we will see improvements to faculty lounge, new grands improvement to UI and optimisation.
Also my sources tell me that developers are about to drop a big update to the game this
month so you may want to keep an eye on it.
SimAirport is 1 year old now.
Game has come a long way since its original release on 7th of March last year.
We have seen addition of z levels adding multiple floor buildings.
Developers added multiple systems Fuel Systems, Baggage Systems, Upkeep Systems, PA Systems,
Vendor Scheduling and many more.
We have seen improvements to weather, lightning, optimization and graphical interface rework.
If you got this game year ago it is definitely worth coming back now after a year of development.
Developers have been very active and responsive and currently SimAirport is sitting at respectable
76% positive review score out of over 1200 reviews submitted.
Surviving Mars has been released on 15th of March unfortunately game has left fans rather
disappointed.
It is rare for Paradox studio to miss the mark and I hope that with this feedback we
will see changes to the game.
Over all the greatest downfall of the game is lack of polish and mid end game.
Game quickly becomes repetitive and it's more of the same with just expanding on the
same winning pattern.
At the same time game clashes attempts at being hardcore and casual game with mechanics
that can crush entire colony but player has no chance of knowing problem is there before
it's to late to fix it.
In my opinion surviving mars is a game that lacked clear design decision in what it wanted
to be and ended up being a bunch of things without clear direction.
Game also greatly lacks replayability each game is similar to the other and once you
build 2 or 3 colonies you every new colony will be exactly the same.
Keep your eyes for the updates but for now I can't recommend it.
Time for announcements of upcoming games.
Farm manager is set to release on 6th of April.
Your job is to manage your own farm.
You will expand your farm business, produce cheap and sell your products at high prices.
Control the land cultivation process, select the best employees, buy the most appropriate
farm equipment, raise livestock and process the harvested crops.
Various camera modes allow you to enter into a strategic view as well as to look at the
world through the eyes of the employee.
You have a choice between nearly 40 machines and the same number of buildings.
Starting from farm buildings and barns to processing plants and factories.
You will be able to specialize in production of various foods like juices and frozen food.
Game will feature mod and steam workshop support.
StarUp Freak is set to release on 13 of April
In Startup Freak you take the role of a budding entrepreneur, and grow your very own software
startup from humble beginnings to a multi-million dollar company.
Along the way you will have to overcome countless challenges, from building, testing and securing
your product, to devising the ideal marketing strategy and securing investment.
Game features simple 2d graphics we had few different start up games over past few months
but I feel this one is worth your attention, some of the mechanics and mini games look
interesting and may bring breath of fresh air to the genre.
Just remember it is Early Access Title buy at your own risk and if in doubt wait for
reviews.
There is some big news from jurassic Park Evolution.
Jeff Goldblum will reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the game news that will surely
please many fans of the franchise.
Additionally over past couple of months we have seen many videos from developers showcasing
different dinosaurus available in the game as well as some interviews showing the game.
Finally we have a date of the release set for 12th of June.
My only concern with the game is the tycoon aspect of it.
Planet Coaster was amazing game when it came to sandbox building, customization and building
amazing parks and decoration but management side of the game was severely lacking and
left me disappointed.
Since we are on the dino park topic time to looks at Parkasaurus.
Parkasaurus although visually less impressive than Jurassic Park Evolution is still very
aesthetically pleasing and developers put focus on management and fun part of the game.
While tests are being done for a full core game before Early Access release developers
have tested baby models of dinosaurs with brand new models, breeding and growing mechanics.
Additionally we will see personality in your exhibits.
Each species has their own dino thoughts and inclinations, even individual dinos have slightly
different personalities.
Is your Stegosaurus extra shy?
Well you might need to develop an exhibit with more privacy.
Parkasaurus is set to release on Early Access within next couple of months and will allow
you to design your own exhibits, manage employees and monetize guests in various ways, deal
with chaotic dino escapes and even travel in time to steal dinosaurs eggs.
I have a feeling we'll be coming back to this title several times over the course of this
year.

You've heard of SpaceX landing and reusing rockets.
But safely recapturing the $6 million nose cone that sits at the tip of the rocket?
Yes, that could happen too.
SpaceX began its launch from the central coast of California, in an attempt to send Iridium
NEXT satellites into orbit on a previously-flown Falcon 9 rocket.
Elon Musk's rocket company live streamed part of the launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base.
Shortly after launch, SpaceX was going to make another experimental attempt to guide
the rocket's nose cone, also called a payload fairing, onto a passenger ship outfitted with
a giant net.
But later the news wasn't good.
Spacex Failed to Recover Its Nose Cone.
In this video Engineering Today will discuss about the SpaceX's experimental attempt
to catch the rocket's nose cone.
What technique they have chosen and why failed to hit big success?
So let's begin.
The rocket's nose cone or fairing rests on the very top part of the rocket.
On a rocket vehicle it consists of a chamber or chambers in which a satellite, instruments,
animals, plants, or auxiliary equipment may be carried, and an outer surface built to
withstand high temperatures generated by aerodynamic heating.
It acts as a shield for satellites during launch.
Once the rocket is in space, the fairing splits into two and falls away.
Typically, it's left to plummet back to Earth where the ocean becomes its graveyard.
SpaceX wants to change that, mostly because the fairing on its Falcon 9 costs $6 million.
As Musk once put it, if "you had $6 million in cash on a palette flying through the air,
and it's going to smash into the ocean, would you try to recover it?
Yes.
Yes, you would."
The company won't be recovering its rocket today, but it was a try to capture part of
the vehicle's nose cone — the bulbous payload fairing that surrounds the satellites
during launch.
Once the rocket reaches space, the fairing breaks into two pieces, each of which deploys
a parachute-like material known as a parafoil to slow down.
SpaceX tried to grab one half of the fairing before it hits the ocean.
The company has quietly attempted to recapture the 43-foot-long fairing halves since at least
March of 2017.
At least twice, SpaceX has guided fairing halves to soft landings in the ocean, according
to Musk's social media pages.
But there's a problem.
"Once it gets into the water, it's quite damaging to the electronics and components inside the
fairing."Most likely if it gets into the water, it's not usable."
For this launch a ship, named Mr. Steven, was head out to sea and attempted to catch
half of the fairing with a giant net.
Mr. Steven made its public debut last month.
Musk said before a February 22 launch that both halves of the Falcon 9 fairing were outfitted
with on-board guidance systems and tiny thrusters, which helped guide them back through the Earth's
thick atmosphere.
Then they deployed the parafoils parachute, which helped slow the fairing halves down
as they hurtled back toward Earth.
That recovery attempt wasn't totally successful.
Musk said the fairing landed in the water "a few hundred meters" away from Mr. Steven.
SpaceX has not publicly confirmed that it will attempt to land a fairing half on Mr.
Steven's net again, but tracking site MarineTraffic shows the ship left the Port of Los Angeles.
The odds of Mr. Steven, owned by Louisiana-based Company, SeaTran, successfully capturing the
fairing on this time probably aren't good.
The parafoils can guide objects to fairly precise landings.
Skydivers, for example, have used them to land on targets about the size of a football
field.
But Mr. Steven's net isn't quite that large.
And the fairing likely faces rough winds and other atmospheric forces that can jostle it.
This second attempt seemed pretty promising, with Elon Musk previously promising to figure
out a way to direct the fairing's descent as it glided on parafoils.
Well, funny things happen when you're trying to do something nobody has ever done before,
and SpaceX's recovery ship once again failed to catch the fairing as it fell.
This time, however, there was a completely new reason for the shortcoming.
After today's attempt, Musk explained that it might not be the size of the chutes that
is the problem after all.
He said that the nose cone — also called a fairing — fell back toward Earth, the
parafoils that were supposed to slow its decent became tangled.
So the fairing impacted water at high speed.
That likely destroyed it.
SpaceX has mastered the ludicrously complex maneuver of guiding a first-stage rocket booster
back to Earth.
That move involves small thrusters as well, but the rocket booster also has the help of
its engines to guide it to a pinpoint landing.
SpaceX will not, however, attempt to land the booster after the launch.
The booster has flown once before on an October 2017 mission, and SpaceX will reportedly discard
some of its older boosters as it gears up to debut an upgraded version of the Falcon
9, called Block 5.
And the company likely won't air the fairing landing attempt on its live stream, since
that effort is experimental.
Thanks to SpaceX's efforts to reuse hardware, its Falcon 9 rocket is drastically cheaper
than competing rockets — and the customers keep lining up.
The company is on pace to have its busiest year of launches ever.

We start this month with updates of last month
Academia School symulator has seen some good updates this month.
Developers added Guidance Counselor.
Back in a day detention and punishment were tools for teaching students how to behave.
In modern school we understand that punishment is not the most effective method.
Your students will be able to attend counseling sessions to help the work through their issues
at school.
Of course detention is a cheaper option and is still available for the players as alternative.
Another new addition is cutting classes.
Some students will attempt to skip classes and avoid education altogether, keeping your
students in school will no require vigilance to catch those escapees early.
In addition we will see improvements to faculty lounge, new grands improvement to UI and optimisation.
Also my sources tell me that developers are about to drop a big update to the game this
month so you may want to keep an eye on it.
SimAirport is 1 year old now.
Game has come a long way since its original release on 7th of March last year.
We have seen addition of z levels adding multiple floor buildings.
Developers added multiple systems Fuel Systems, Baggage Systems, Upkeep Systems, PA Systems,
Vendor Scheduling and many more.
We have seen improvements to weather, lightning, optimization and graphical interface rework.
If you got this game year ago it is definitely worth coming back now after a year of development.
Developers have been very active and responsive and currently SimAirport is sitting at respectable
76% positive review score out of over 1200 reviews submitted.
Surviving Mars has been released on 15th of March unfortunately game has left fans rather
disappointed.
It is rare for Paradox studio to miss the mark and I hope that with this feedback we
will see changes to the game.
Over all the greatest downfall of the game is lack of polish and mid end game.
Game quickly becomes repetitive and it's more of the same with just expanding on the
same winning pattern.
At the same time game clashes attempts at being hardcore and casual game with mechanics
that can crush entire colony but player has no chance of knowing problem is there before
it's to late to fix it.
In my opinion surviving mars is a game that lacked clear design decision in what it wanted
to be and ended up being a bunch of things without clear direction.
Game also greatly lacks replayability each game is similar to the other and once you
build 2 or 3 colonies you every new colony will be exactly the same.
Keep your eyes for the updates but for now I can't recommend it.

amazing parks and decoration but management side of the game was severely lacking and
left me disappointed.
Since we are on the dino park topic time to looks at Parkasaurus.
Parkasaurus although visually less impressive than Jurassic Park Evolution is still very
aesthetically pleasing and developers put focus on management and fun part of the game.
While tests are being done for a full core game before Early Access release developers
have tested baby models of dinosaurs with brand new models, breeding and growing mechanics.
Additionally we will see personality in your exhibits.
Each species has their own dino thoughts and inclinations, even individual dinos have slightly
different personalities.
Is your Stegosaurus extra shy?
Well you might need to develop an exhibit with more privacy.
Parkasaurus is set to release on Early Access within next couple of months and will allow
you to design your own exhibits, manage employees and monetize guests in various ways, deal
with chaotic dino escapes and even travel in time to steal dinosaurs eggs.
I have a feeling we'll be coming back to this title several times over the course of this
year.

If you are tired, your throat will get worse.
Frankly, alcohol and smoking is not good for your throat.
So I think "Until how old am I to sing?",
Because if I have to sing, there are so many things I have to manage.
So it is hard.

First in a pan put 2 cups sugar
1 cup water
And mix well, boil it for 3-4 minutes on medium flame untill sugar dissolves
Then put 1 pinch saffron
1/2 teaspoon cardomom powder and mix well
And prepare 1 thread consistency sugar syrup, then put off the gas
Then in abowl put 100 grams all purpose flour
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 tablespoon curd
1/2 tablespoon orange food coloring, and mix well
Add water and prepare batter
The consistency of the batter should be thick and flowing
Then add 1 teaspoon baking powder and mix thoroughly
Then pour the batter in any squuezy bottle which has a nozzle
Then in a pan put oil to fry
Add 1 tablespoon of clarified butter for flavour and let it heat
Once the oil is ready start making jalebis
The oil shouldn't get too hot otherwise jalebis will burn
Fry jalebi's on medium flame until crispy
Then flip jalebis and fry the other side as well
Then remove the jalebis and put it straight in prepared warm sugar syrup for 1 minute
Then remove and prepare all jalebis the same way
All jalebis are ready. Then giarnish it with 3-4 chopped almonds and pistachios
Hot and delicious jalebis are ready to serve

The Attack's Kevin Pereira acknowledges Twitch view-botting controversy
It's difficult enough to worry about success on Twitch when you're a solo streaming operation. It's a completely different scenario when you're trying to ensure that an entire team of people can keep working.
That's the dire situation that Kevin Pereira found himself in. A longtime fixture in the gaming community, Pereira is best known as a host of Attack of the Show!, which aired on G4 from 2005-2012.
After leaving G4, he launched The Attack on Twitch in 2014.
The Attack wasn't performing the way Pereira and his production company needed it to, and the host-turned-producer-turned-boss told Polygon that with people's jobs on the line, he was feeling desperate to try and keep the show going to keep as many people employed as possible.
Pereira ended up turning to view-botting, a practice that falsely inflates the number of viewers watching a stream or video. It's frowned upon within the streaming community, and it violates Twitch's terms of service.
After being discovered, Pereira voluntarily took down the Twitch channel before it could get suspended.
He told Polygon earlier today that even though he knew he was doing something wrong, he did it in an effort to keep the Attack team together for however long he could. It was an act born of desperation.
"I explicitly said I had nothing left to lose and was very flippant about it and said, 'Well, a way to get discovered on the platform is to have a channel that's getting more views,'" Pereira said.
"So instead of trying to make the content better or refocus my strategy, with the limited time we had left, I decided to shortcut it and try to get some extra views on the channel.".
Pereira acknowledged that view-botting "means the [Attack] brand is pretty much done," and said that he would be shutting down everything, including the team's Patreon.
"I'm going to try and help the team land on their feet and try to get them jobs elsewhere," Pereira continued.
"Clearly, it was a mistake, but my personal hope is that it becomes the footnote — I know it's the story right now, and I get that — but I hope it becomes the footnote.
"I tried to save jobs, I really did, and hope that in the end that I didn't do any irreparable damage to people's careers.
Turning to view-botting left him ridden with guilt, Pereira said, noting that "it's caused endless sleepless nights because I know I don't want the team to work on this, to work so hard on this, to bear the burden of my mistake.
" During the conversation, Pereira spoke mostly about the concern he had for his team and the brand's reputation — something, he admitted, he hopes isn't ruined now. "It sucks and I'm feeling tragically defeated by it all," Pereira said.
"For three years, we were making some really amazing content, and building a community and doing something different on the platform, and it sucks that this action I took might color all of that negatively.
Questions amassed when screenshots of the team's message to fans addressing the view-botting controversy on the show's Discord made their way to Reddit, leading people to wonder how it got so bad in the first place.
Dedicated fans pointed out they thought something might have been happening when The Attack's streams started jumping from a few hundred viewers to a few thousands, later acknowledging that was front page traffic, but they couldn't understand why Pereira would decide to do something like view-botting.
The issue, Pereira told Polygon, was that The Attack grew too fast, and he couldn't support it. "The Attack brand really expanded a while back," he said. "We moved to a new studio for a different project.
We ramped up and put a ton of resources into our livestreams, with the hope that one day we could attract sponsors, or take it to TV, or do something that could justify doing a big variety show on Twitch.
Eventually, I had to whittle things down and whittle things down.". Pereira said he also blames himself for how the situation got so dire in the first place.
"The sad thing is that I told the employees we have a month and change left because it's not working," he said.
"I personally took my eyes off of it for a long while to focus on generating revenue as a production company, and doing some other things with the business.
I took my eyes off the ball and wasn't able to make it work for that platform.". Pereira takes the responsibility for just about everything: the view-botting, the show's inability to find an audience and the inability to provide for his team.
He told Polygon he's going to take some time to disappear for a while and focus on trying to make sure his staff can find jobs elsewhere.
"I have to focus that the team transitions as well out of this as soon as possible," Pereira said. "I didn't manage to buy the team much time.
I kicked up some dust toward the end. I'm going to Homer Simpson into the bush — back into the hedges — for the time being.
I have other shows that I would like to take around and pitch down the line, but I need to take some time to recalibrate.".
Despite the sadness and scrutiny affecting Pereira and his team right now, he did want to clear up a few points. Twitch didn't shut down the Attack channel or suspend The Attack, for example.
That was a decision Pereira made with his team, which is why they were able to have a proper finale. "We decided to delete the channel. We decided to cool it down," he said.
"At some point we'll probably make our VODs available somewhere else. Luckily there's still a community that wants us to continue making stuff and want to see more, but I don't know what that looks like yet.".
It's a rough time for Pereira and, as he talked to Polygon from Los Angeles, he admitted that he doesn't know what's going to happen next.
He did, however, take a second to pause when asked if there was anything he wanted to add about the situation — a moment to reflect on the time he's had working on the show.
Just like everything else, it came back to his team.
"I want to thank them and our community and everyone that worked on Attack. It was a wild ride, and I learned a lot of lessons, and I still have more to learn. I hope people really enjoyed what we made.".
Update: The Attack's viewership jumped from hundreds of users to thousands, not "thousands to hundreds of thousands. " We've edited the article to reflect this.
