Time Travel Tunnel in Italy - Duration: 7:51.
A volcanic eruption of Mount Etna on the island of Sicily,
released a lava flow one mile wide, and four feet deep.
The molten rock destroyed the homes of twenty thousand inhabitants.
This disaster overshadowed news of the previous week in the Italian press.
Members of the richest families of Rome, had vanished without a trace.
They did return, more than once... proving the existence of a time travel tunnel in Italy.
Zanetti Trasporti was an Italian locomotive builder,
offering to serve wealthy travelers with a luxury railcar of modern design.
On July 14th, 1911, on tracks at the Roma Termini train station, a steam engine was
a steam engine was coupled to three prototypes of the new railcar,
awaiting the upper class passengers with buckets of champagne.
To advertise the luxury railcar,
local socialites and wealthy businessmen were given on that day, a free ride.
The passenger list was limited to one hundred privileged guests.
The crew consisted of six men.
Before entering a tunnel through one of the Lombardy mountains,
the train reduced its speed to a crawl.
The passengers could see the reason for this through the windows.
The entrance to the tunnel was filled with a white mist, so thick that it looked like milk,
spilling from the subterranean passage.
Two of the Italians, one passenger and one of the crew, were so disturbed by this sight,
and filled with such dread, that they opened one of the railcar doors, and jumped from the train.
The train was swallowed by the mist and the mountain.
It never arrived at its destination.
The following search of the tunnel found no part of the locomotive and its three carriages.
Influence by the wealthiest families of Rome,
resulted in the southern entrance of the tunnel being sealed with bricks.
Six other railway tunnels provided alternate passage through the Lombardy mountain range.
During World War II, as the result of Allied bombing,
the other entrance to the tunnel, was closed by falling rocks.
With a reputation in ruins, Zanetti Trasporti went bankrupt.
The train did not appear again... until 1955, in the Crimea.
Peter Puteyny, a signalman working near the city of Balaklava,
witnessed a primitive steam train running along an embankment which had once held railway tracks.
Chickens which were feeding on the hill, bounced off the front of the locomotive.
Large yellow Italian lettering on the sides of the three carriages,
was the same as the lettering on the Zanetti luxury railcars.
The cars moved slowly, as if the engineer was having difficulty seeing ahead.
Puteyny got a good look at the engineer, who was wearing an outdated shirt,
with a white collar attached by buttons.
Beginning in 1991, paranormal researcher Nikolai Cherkashin
hunted historical records for other possible appearances of the train.
A Medieval manuscript, discovered at the San Pietro monastery of Modena in Italy, records an apparition
from the year 1476, consisting of four large iron carriages in a row,
The first carriage had a black pipe, belching smoke, or steam.
Benedictine monks, working at the construction of a church adjacent to the Abbey,
observed passengers, looking out of their windows,
appearing just as frightened as the Benedictines themselves.
Naturally, the Catholic brotherhood concluded the accursed souls were on their way to Hades.
The journal of the 19th century Mexican psychiatrist Jose Saxino,
contains a peculiar paragraph dated 1845, concerning 104 of his patients.
They were a group of Italians, who had wandered into Mexico City.
They all said they just arrived on a train from Rome.
Before the Zanetti luxury line disappeared again,
the passengers and crew had escaped with their lives.
Unfortunately, in Mexico,
all the survivors were involuntarily committed, to the first psychiatric facility in the Americas, San Hipólito,
where according to hospital records, they stayed for the remainder of their lives.

Improving Vocal Speech for Kids with Autism – Never Give Up on Vocal Language! - Duration: 6:10.
I've seen over the years where parents and professionals call a child nonverbal, and there's a lot
of emphasis on augmentative communication devices, and no emphasis on vocal language.
And today, I'm going to talk about how I never give up on vocal language.
Hi, I'm Dr. Mary Barbera, autism mom, board-certified behavior analyst, and bestselling author.
I often hear, and when I've done evaluations in the past, I read that a child or a teen
is nonverbal, and on augmentative communication systems, and are having problem behaviors.
And when I inquire about whether the child does have any spoken language, I get things
like, "Oh yeah, he can say Mom, or he can say Mama, or he can say hi," but everything
else is pretty much on his device, or on some kind of augmentative communication system.
And, when I did an evaluation, probably one of my last independent evaluations, it was
a teenager who was living in a residential placement and going to school in approved
private school.
He was 16 or 17 years of age, and he was like a child I'm talking about, where he was labeled
nonverbal.
He's on an augmentative system, obviously having a lot of problem behaviors if he's
in a residential placement and I'm being called in to do an independent evaluation.
And what I found was this boy did have a little bit of vocal language.
He could say Mama.
He could say bead.
It wasn't completely clear.
When I observed him,he could also sing little songs, hum the music, fill in the blanks to
some songs, and most of his requesting or manding was actually with his vocal language.
And one of the things I talk about right away when I see kids with any kind of babbling,
any kind of sounds, or word approximations, is we don't want to just throw in the towel
in terms of vocal language.
We want to look at ways where we can improve that, because if a child can vocally mand
for something, it's just so much easier, less response effort for the child, and much more
speedy in getting a response.
So, with this boy, we also looked at his ability to drink from an open cup, or from a straw.
Right away, I saw him drinking from a water bottle, and water's just spilling out of his
mouth.
That's how low tone his mouth was, so I asked the staff, "Does he ever drink out of a straw?"
Which would be also better in terms of spilling, but it also would be better in terms of oral
motor movements, and just maybe the ability to shape up his articulation a little bit
more.
He was able to drink out of a straw, which was a great first step, and I pointed out
that he had word approximations and spoken words that everyone could understand for several
different items.
So, I do believe that we need to focus more on vocal language.
One of my online course members, Anna, bought my online course a couple of years ago when
her son was 10 years old.
Like this other boy that I'm talking about, her son only had a few words, and the staff
was focusing on an augmentative system.
With the techniques that Anna learned in my program, she was able to teach Nick to say
hundreds of words, with pretty good articulation.
So, I would never rule out the ability to have vocal language.
We have another member of our online community who is getting a teenager, who was previously
completely nonvocal, speaking in short word approximations and words.
So, I'm always a big proponent of assessing and making a plan to improve vocal speech,
if at all possible.

Are You a Spiritual Beggar? And I Hope You Are! | Little Lessons with David Servant - Duration: 8:25.
Are you a spiritual beggar?
And I hope you are.
Hi, welcome to today's Little Lesson, which is a continuation of our previous Little Lesson
as we were looking at the very first thing that Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount,
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
And just by way of very quick review, I pointed out that we don't want to make the mistake
of looking at the Beatitudes like some people look at their horoscope, picking their zodiac
symbol and finding out what their unique destiny is.
They're unique amongst 12 other symbols that breaks up the entire human race, which is
ridiculous when you think about it.
But I'm just trying to use that as an example of people sometimes pick out the Beatitudes
and look for which one is their special gift or their special thing that applies to them,
so that they can claim that particular promise.
I try to point out that the Beatitudes are characteristics that are shared by all people
who are blessed people, and blessed people are people who are on the road to heaven.
And so these characteristics of a blessed should characterize all believers, and they
do characterize all true believers to a greater or lesser degree.
Okay, so the very first one, blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs ... listen ... is
the kingdom of heaven.
He's not just talking about some unique little blessing or even some unique big blessing
that a small slice of Christians might get.
No, this is talking about the one blessing that we all esteem above all other blessings.
The most important blessing, getting into heaven.
And the Lord's making it very clear, the kind of people who get into heaven are not people
that just display some unique little characteristic that many others don't share on the road to
heaven.
No.
This is a characteristic shared by everybody going to heaven.
And what is it?
They're poor in spirit.
It's very important, I think, that we give this some thought.
What does it mean to be poor in spirit and am I poor in spirit?
I put it out on a previous broadcast that an alternative translation or a connotation
within that word poor, as in poor in spirit, it implies one who cowers or crouches, that
is a beggar.
And so the word poor could also be translated beggarly in spirit.
The person who recognizes that they have tremendous needs that they can't meet themselves, and
so they have to resort ... I've got nothing else I can possibly do.
If I'm going to get this blessing, it's going to put me in the position of begging, because
I can't contribute.
I can't drum this up.
I'm in a state of total helplessness and bankruptcy.
If I'm going to get this need met ... this is what the beggar thinks ... I got no options.
Someone's going to have to give it to me because they're gracious and merciful toward me, not
because I deserved it or because I earned it.
Well, you're getting the spiritual implications here, okay?
In fact, in the margin of my new American Standard Bible, it's got little number one
or two by that phrase poor in spirit, and it says that is not spiritually arrogant.
Well, the scribes and Pharisees were the epitome of spiritual arrogance.
Remember that time Jesus told the story of the Pharisee and the tax collector.
Okay, the Pharisee is praying in the temple, "Oh, God.
I thank you that I'm not like other men.
I tithe.
I fast twice a week and so forth.
I'm glad I'm not like that guy over there, that tax collector."
And the tax collector is poor in spirit.
He's cowering, he's crouching.
He's unwilling to lift his face to heaven, because he recognizes there ain't no way I'm
going to get into heaven.
There ain't no way I'm going to be saved unless I, the beggar, get mercy from God.
That's it for me.
There's no other options.
And Jesus said, truly I say to you, that tax collector who cried out Lord be merciful to
me a sinner, he left justified, whereas the Pharisee, full of spiritual arrogance, not
poor in spirit, but proud in his spiritual appraisal of himself, left unrighteous, unjustified.
Wow!
Important lesson.
You can see how this applies to everybody who gets salvation.
There's no other way to get it, folks.
You can't gradually earn it by meriting it over a process of time.
Give up, it's too late for that.
We've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
And this theme, of course, as I said in our previous broadcast, if you're going to interpret
the Bible, if you find a verse that's hard to interpret, well, look for help in the rest
of the Bible, because the themes are consistent.
They're there over and over again, the important ones.
And if it's said in a little bit of an odd or different way, you can find it said in
an easier to understand way somewhere else.
But God says a lot of the same things in different ways because he's trying to get people to
understand it.
Figures I'll try saying it this way.
Maybe they'll get it if I say it like this.
And this is one of those cases.
Blessed are the poor in spirit.
There's a beautiful verse in Isaiah 66.
It was one of the very first verses I memorized as a young Christian decades ago.
Yeah, I memorized it, but now I have it written down over here.
Just have mercy on me.
Actually I know what it says.
God said, "To this one will I look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit and who
trembles at my word."
That's the starting place in a relationship with God.
If you want God to look at you, give you some attention, here's how to get God's attention.
You're not going to get it by saying, "Well, I'm so glad I'm not like other people," as
you look down your nose.
You get it by being humble ... listen ... and contrite of spirit.
That's Isaiah 66, verse number 22.
You might want to look it up.
To him, this one ... look, who was humble and contrite of spirit, so it shows a humility,
a repentance, and who trembles at my word.
He's a believer.
He believes what God says, and so therefore, oh, my goodness.
I'm a sinner.
I'm in trouble.
I need mercy.
I need grace.
Down on my face, the beggar comes to God.
Poor in spirit.
And again, this theme is contained throughout all of scripture.
God resists the proud, but who does he give grace to?
He gives grace to the humble.
And that's what Jesus is saying in this first Beatitude.
Blessed are those who are poor in spirit, beggarly, coming to God, recognizing they've
got nothing to offer.
Theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Well, the next Beatitude I think is similar, and related to the first one.
It couples right in there.
Blessed are those who mourn, Jesus said, for they shall be comforted.
As we read through all the Beatitudes, we'll see again that ... I think we will take some
time on Little Lessons to go through the Beatitudes ... we'll see repeatedly that these are characteristics
shared by every true believer and the blessing that is promised is universal blessings for
everyone who believes and acts like a believer.
That's the question we'll start our next Little Lesson off with.
Are you mournful?
And I hope you are.
See you next time.
God bless you.

Anna Rising - Professor of Veterinary Medicine Biochemistry at SLU - Duration: 2:09.
Spider silk is the strongest fibre known to us. It can absorb more
kinetic energy than for example Kevlar, which is used in bulletproof vests.
My name is Anna Rising, professor of veterinary biochemistry.
My research is based on spider silk.
It all started when I got my degree and had the chance
to join a doctoral project that aimed to use spider silk
to design new orthopaedic implants,
I thought it sounded incredibly exciting,
but I quickly realised that no one had managed
to create artificial spider silk before. So I went to South Africa
and brought back the spider that we then thought produced the strongest silk
and started to investigate what the spider's genes and proteins looked like.
We are the first research group in the world to produce artificial spider silk
in the same way that spiders do.
We are studying if the material can help heal nerve injury.
By copying the spider's method of producing silk, we have come up with
a new way of producing medical proteins.
We can for example produce pulmonary surfactant.
Surfactant can be found in the lungs; it prevents them from collapsing.
We are trying to find new ways of transporting medicine to the lungs
by mixing surfactant with antibiotics.
Being a researcher suits my personality. I'm stubborn, refuse to give up
and like to learn new things.
The combination of trying to understand how nature has solved different problems
and using the knowledge to improve medical treatments
and develop new techniques is very fun.

All extraterrestrial ! about how do you feel abroad (Toastmasters Speech) - Duration: 7:30.
So I would like to start with a question
How many of you have experienced before
to travel or to live in a city or country,
which is different than where you where raised ?
(laughs ~ all raised their hand their hands)
almost everyone
So I can imagine that most of you had this reaction before like :
"Oh, we do that differently in my country"
or this reaction like
"I didn't even know that such thing could exist!"
this was the reaction of one of my friends
when I was showing him "Borkinies"
which is a swimming suite like bikini but for hijabis
(laughs)
so many of us have called others different
and many have been called different by other people
Experiencing that over and over
made my mind stretching more and more
in order to widen the department of "Diversity"
I have been here for 9 months now in Germany
and while experiencing the "Diversity" concept
I come up with an observation that :
the perception of diversity takes 3 phases
and because you are lucky enough
to hear my speech today
so I will share them with you tonight
The first phase is:
You feel like
everyone else is extraterrestrial
(laughs)
I was born and raised in Tunisia.
and now evaluating my old personalities
I kind of I feel that I was subconsciously thinking that:
Tunisia is the center of the world
Tunisia is even the Earth (itself)
Meanwhile all the rest came from exoplanets.
(laughs)
so emm (@*"+/éà!?+)
then (@*"+/éà!?+)
you get the time (@*"+/éà!?+)
and you start to (@*"+/éà!?+)
then i started to label
persons and their behaviors,
and every thing happening around me in Germany
with 2 labels:
one is : WEIRD
and the other is : NORMAL
according to me
(laugh)
so for example
it is weird
if you really find food without spices tasty
but
it is really normal
when you spend a lot of time
cooking couscous
the right one, not the one that you find in the supermarket
and find weird
if in order to meet a friend
you need to make an appointment with him before one month !
(laughs)
but it is really normal to me
when ever I want to meet him or her
I would pick up the phone
hey Sara ! let's meet after one hour
then
I got bored with this labeling game
so I went to the next stage
which is the second
emm
the second phase
after a while
you feel that you are the TRUE extraterrestrial person
(laughs)
after having a lot of conversations
with people
having them (where)
they comment your behaviors, your believes,
how you do things
you start to evaluate your self
and think
maybe I was doing it wrong the whole of my life
and you start to think
maybe it is time to change
to upgrade to the next way (@*"+/éà!?+)
so you find your self falling in love
with how do the others
that you used to call extraterrestrial
you end up emm adopting
some of their habits
after a while then you upgrade
to the 3rd phase
which is
ok.. in the beginning
I thought that all of them are extraterrestrial
then.. i found out that I am the true extraterrestrial
Ahaa I came up to (a) conclusion !
all of us (are) extraterrestrial !
I mean we are the same all of us are the same
(laughs)
I started to feel that when ever someone
is sharing with me a personal experience
when someone tells me about
emm
what he or she feels about
an incident or something
one of those moments was here in Toastmasters
it was my first visit
we went downstairs to drink something
and then Paula started to talk about her experience with her son
and I was interacting with her
and (was) giving some ideas
maybe because of that maybe because of that (this)
and the reason why I was able to interact with her
not because i studied psychology
but because i had the same experience with my younger brother
and then ..
all the sound in the room went quite
to let the sound in my head speak :
hey Randa..
you see ?
mother is mother
in USA with the American Dream.. this fancy word that we used to hear in series and movies and ads ..
and Tunisia, the small county, relatively poor, and catastrophically chaotic..
still with all those differences
Paula and my mother share the same feelings toward their kids
they have the same fears and the same motivations
so thank you Paula for letting me recognize that
and I experienced that again and again
with a lot of other persons
it was with my friend Sofia
she come (Mixing German xD) she is from Uruguay
when she was sharing with me her her her (xD) feeling of nostaligia
toward her parents
It was the same love and pain that I experience everyday
I felt it again with Ashwin a friend from India
when he was talking with me about his passion to learn more and more
to know more and more and experience more and more
It was the same wild sprite
that drives me everyday day to wake up and challenge the life again
(@*"+/éà!?+)
after going through all those 3 phases
dear Toastmaster .. dear guests .. dear friends
I would like to tell you
that whenever you go to a new place
and whenever you new people and you feel that they are extraterrestrial
then keep in mind that they feel the same toward you
this makes us under the same category
which is : we are all extraterrestrial
because
as much as we are different
we are the same sensitive human being ..
thank you

And, when I did an evaluation, probably one of my last independent evaluations, it was
a teenager who was living in a residential placement and going to school in approved
private school.
