2018 was a solid year for video games.
Personally, there wasn't anything in particular I was waiting for besides a couple of games
from series that I hold nostalgic ties to.
Luckily, some games came out near the tail end of the year easily landing at number 1
and 2.
I missed out on all the obvious AAA releases like Spider-man.
Red Dead Redemption 2, and God of War due to a slight lack of interest with the western
AAA development scene.
Anyway, on the indie development side, a lot of great creative games came out, but I still
haven't tried the indie darling, Celeste.
Regardless, the last quarter of the year's games really struck a chord with me after
the so-so first three quarters.
Though 2018 is nowhere near the incredible peak that was 2017, it still had a few gems
sprinkled here and there.
As I looked back at 2017, I realized that I had missed out on an indie game that evoked
the 3D platforming sensibilities of the sixth generation of consoles.
A Hat in Time takes us to a simpler time, while providing a polished, charming experience
throughout the decently compact campaign.
In terms of narrative, the game's light, quirky writing was surprisingly engaging and
enjoyable.
Each world heavily deviates from the next leaving a diverse and experimental journey.
It's another amazing game from last year that further solidifies 2017 as a year worth
remembering.
I found Spectrum Break to be a fun level based action puzzler.
It's just straightforward fun with jumping around.
The colorful, psychedelic art style made it easy to just zone out indefinitely.
The game isn't a top contender, but if I was pressed to list more than just 7 games,
I would probably put it somewhere on the list.
However, I feel that Game of the Year lists should be filled with games that genuinely
compel or intrigue.
Let's just say I have high standards when it comes to putting stuff in one of these
lists.
Regardless, it's a great game for a developer's first release.
What can I say?
Undertale was amazing and so is Deltarune.
I'd put this one a lot higher if it wasn\t just the first chapter of a game in development.
However, it's time will come or at least I hope it will.
Regardless, it pretty much works as a standalone experience, clocking in at around 4 hours
and it's free.
I loved every moment of it as it tells a story in the same vein as Undertale, but approaches
it with a party focused approach.
There's a nice degree of character development and I greatly enjoyed the dialogue.
I'd recommend trying it out if you liked Undertale.
I mean, it's free and it was easily a highlight for me in 2018.
Despite series composer Koichi Sugiyama being a war crime denying bigot, I can look past
the views of one of the countless people who worked on the game.
Dragon Quest XI is a highly streamlined version of the Dragon Quest formula.
The series has always been fairly static in terms of design, so the general focus seemed
to be one of quality of life improvements.
It's jam packed with features that make the long journey so much more easier to get
through.
As a result, this allows the game to shine in the modern day.
With a great attention to detail from the towns to the often foreshadowing dialogue,
each area has a lot to explore.
It's a game with a lot to do and it's very enjoyable at that, but it's not a game
without faults.
The story is very old fashioned and lacking in nuance, while the music quality is rather
dated.
The game is an excellent time sink that calls back to the roots of JRPGs, while modernizing
it for a newer audience.
Shoot'em ups have always been a genre that I've been hesitant about.
The biggest issue is how much practice and precision they require to succeed in.
ZeroRanger makes the experience a lot more approachable with checkpoints at every level
and a progression system that incentivizes practice by providing additional credits every
time the Buddhist themed experience gauge goes full circle.
Despite the easier experience, it's still a challenge and the enticing 1 credit clear
is available for the experienced and the insane.
Beyond that, the game subverts many expectations towards the end and has strong thematic ties
to Buddhism leaving a game worth remembering.
As I was reviewing games this year, CrossCode was a clear turning point.
It's a real passion project made by a team dedicated to doing their best.
The game is a puzzle heavy action RPG that really shines with its dungeon design and
fun cast of party members.
From the lengthy main storyline to the sidequests and trading system, it's jam packed with
content.
Story in CrossCode is a mix between heavy drama and fun, comedic character interactions.
The dungeons are filled with head scratching puzzles that demand attention and analysis.
I made a video for the game a while back, so I'll put a link of it down in the description.
CrossCode is a testament to what developers can really achieve through hard work and dedication.
Usually, Super Smash Bros. is a series that I just enjoy.
Most of the later games don't improve much past what Melee already established and I'm
often just happy enough dabbling.
However, the diehard director and student of video games, Masahiro Sakurai has hit gold
with the latest entry.
Super Smash Bros.
Ultimate has reinvigorated my passion for the series.
With the return of a more straightforward Classic mode, the very engaging feedback system
that is Spirits mode, incredibly polished gameplay, and the overwhelming character pool,
the game heavily improves on the pre-established formula in a post Melee world.
Having played Smash 4, Ultimate hardly resembles its predecessor.
The benefits of building the game off of Smash 4 provided Sakurai with an opportunity to
craft a game with the time and effort required for the celebration of video games that the
series has become.
If there has ever been a time to get into the series, it is now.
Here I was at the end of the year, getting engrossed in the Super Smash Bros.
Ultimate experience when suddenly, Gris appeared.
It's an indie game with a minimalist story, gorgeous visuals, impactful music, and a distinct
focus on connecting the many parts that make up a game.
The sheer artistic craft easily drew me in, while the highly emotional and introspective
journey kept me engaged.
It's a work that's easy to pick up and play with its simple controls and mechanics.
The experience felt a lot like Journey with its light on details approach to story and
unique visual style.
However, Gris comes off as a lot more personal and mechanically interactive.
The beautiful watercolor aesthetic was put up front and center due to how the story tied
the return of color to narrative progress.
This unique approach to storytelling through visuals was enhanced by how the colors would
affect the environments and atmosphere, while informing the gameplay.
Gris is easily in my game of the year list through its inventiveness and effectiveness
in telling a compelling, emotional story about dealing with the past.
Sure, it's a remastered release of a game that came out in 2005, but this time, it's
different.
It's killer7, the avant-garde masterpiece that changed my perception of video games
and even just art in general.
killer7 is Suda51's magnum opus that has never and probably will never be topped.
The game provides an insane rollercoaster of crazy and creative scenarios that impress
me even to this day.
The visuals have never looked better with this Steam release.
People can finally experience the genius of Suda51 at his best without having to dust
off their Gamecubes or Wiis.
Anyway, I've spoken about the game in depth in a previous video.
Link in the description.
As far as I'm concerned, it's my game of all years
and that's that.
And there you have it.
There's my game of the year list for 2018.
Overall, I'd say I'm content with this year.
I knew 2017 was a special year, so I didn't get my hopes up for 2018 and I was gladly
surprised by some of these releases.
Let me know what your list is by leaving a comment.
I'm curious as I think I spent more time writing and video editing about games than
I have actually researching what's good nowadays.
Funnily enough, a lot of the games on the list haven't been given a proper video on
the channel, but many have been given reviews on Darkstation.
I'll leave the links of them down in the description.
Thanks for watching this video on my top seven games of the year.
By the way, this video's content was originally from Darkstation, but I modified it for the
sake of having seven entries because killer7.
If you enjoyed the video, feel free to like it and consider subscribing to the channel.
Oh yeah, if you want more, here are some of my other videos.
Anyway, I'll see you all next time when I give you my top seven worst games of 2018
in a soul shattering video that tears apart the awful games that came out this year like
an edgy teenager writing a song about the human condition.

Comparison Between the Scan n Cut DX 125 and Scan n Cut 2 CM350 - Duration: 18:10.
hi and welcome to the Hedgehog Hollow today I wanted to talk to you about the
scan and cut from brother now many of you know that I had the scanning cut too
and then recently there was just kind of cut DX release and I did an unboxing of
a scanning cut live it was kind of a very impromptu like I got it out of the
box I played with it way it was kind of mixed success I've now had it probably
for a couple of months I've really played with it I recently did a couple
of PBS shows with it so I've really really learned about the machine its
accessories the things it can do the things it can't do and comparison to the
scan and cut to so I'm going to kind of give you my thoughts on this kind of cut
DX whether it's worth upgrading if you're looking at purchasing which one
do you buy some tips I've learned along the way between both machines and then
also if you have the scan cut one is it worth upgrading - what / - or a DX and
what's the difference between all of them so let me talk about the
differences between the scan and cut two and the scan and cut DX first of all so
both models that I have are what's called the HSN models so I do not have
the Dino models which means they have slightly less features but there are
perfect for paper crafters so this is the CM 350 we can buy this on Amazon you
can buy on HSN and I will link it up in the video description it's currently on
sale as is the scanning cut DX for the holidays again I'll link all of those
things up and then we have the scanning cut DX this is the 1 to 5 model again
this is the non dealer model now for scanning cut DX can cut much thicker
things then the scanning cut too it also has an auto blade which we do not have
in the scan cup - so this is the blade that we have inside the Machine and
you'll notice there are no numbers on it brought this machine automatically
detects the thickness of whether it's cardstock or felt or foam or any of
those things it or trial it just detects the thickness you don't have to tell it
anything which i think is pretty cool and I haven't had any issues when they
are not cutting all the way through my image
it also has the color scanning the same as the scanner cut to the sky and cut
one only had black and white scanning and I think that's the biggest
limitation of the one so if I had a scan and cut one I would most definitely
think about upgrading to either the scanning cut too or if I can afford to
the sound and cut DX the other thing about the scanning cut DX is you'll
notice how much quieter it is it is noticeably quieter yes it's a little bit
more chunky than the scanning cut tube actually the amount of real estate it
takes up in my craft room it's not that much bigger the width is about the same
it's maybe slightly deeper it's kind of just a little bit more kind of cubie
than the two and so that's kind of the biggest difference that I kind of see
between them and also notice something that I really really like is the
scanning cup DX has a bigger screen and it also has a color screen I think it
has slightly better definition as well and I just find that this is screen is a
little bit easier to work with now the match you had for your scanning
cut to are not going to be compatible with your scout and cut DX they are
different mats so that's another difference you would have to get new
mats you can't interchange like between this
kind of cut one and that's gonna cut - we could interchange our mats the
scanning cut DX also has a rather really a fun feature which you can see right at
the front here which is why I had the Machine open it has these two storage
pockets which I really really like because I like being able to keep all of
my tools with my machine because otherwise I find that they just go
missing so I have this little pouch that came with the machine it kind of has a
few little tools and things in it I can't remember what you get now you get
the blade to put the little holder that you can put the pen in that comes with
it you've got the spatula and then you also have accessory packs that you can
purchase things like boiling packs and embossing packs and actually both of
those packs you can purchase that would work with this back up to but the scan
okati EPS also has a vinyl roll feature that you could only would only work with
the scanning kodiak's I got to use that for a recent PBS make it artsy show and
it was really cool because I didn't have to have a mat I put my vinyl roll on
there it fed all the way through and it did like the proper kiss cut so
it just cut through it's the one layer it didn't cut through my backing just
cut through the vinyl and it worked perfectly without a mat which I just
thought was amazing it's really really cool technology now up until today by
the time you actually watch this video these software will be available for
Windows and for Mac up until now it's only available for Windows which is kind
of a frustration for me and I always had to use Hanna's laptop to be able to use
the vinyl roll feeder I could use the online software on my Mac absolutely
fine and that will work perfectly but the vinyl roll feeling you had to like
download the software for to be able to use that part of the software and I can
only do it on Windows but by the time you watch this video it will be
available for Mac users as well so you don't have to worry about that either
another cool little feature that you get on the scan and cut DX it's a tiny
little thing I just think it's super neat is the fact it has this little tray
at the back that you can pull out so it feeds your mat out really really easily
and then it was kind of slots away again again simple things but just really nice
engineering but me your Mac feeds through really really nicely so you can
see against this kind of doesn't have I mean this kind of comes out maybe an
inch and a half more at the front and once this is open your mat is the same
size so you're going to still need that same amount of room is just your machine
when it's open maybe comes little bit further forward the width is actually
pretty much as I say about the same now with regards to features again it has
all those same features that you used to the scanning of things the other thing I
really liked about this is you know sometimes when you used to if you have a
two or a one so I'm gonna used to scan in and you used to kind of get those
rogue scans that maybe on your Mac net had a mark or it had previous scan and
things and you're like I don't want it to cut that and it was like really hard
to get rid of it's super super easy to get rid of on the new sound and cut the
X if they've really upgraded the internal hardware and also the wireless
functions I think are really really easy to use it comes wireless prepared when
you buy this machine whereas with the skyline cut 2 we had to buy that
Wireless activation card and you can check out the rest of the playlist for
our scanning cuts and I'll pop that now in that top
hand corner and I have lots of like the skyline cut things or my tips and all
those things when I did on the standing cut too and I talked about why you may
or may not want that why this activation car but that's in this and I notice the
other day I turn my machine on it so there's a new update available do you
want to download it and the other night when I went to bed I press yes and by
the next morning it was all done it installed itself it was all wireless and
again that was super super easy and I really enjoyed how easy that was you can
again cut SVG files on this I found the online canvas they have upgrade in it
and it was a little bit easier to work with again and all those files could
just be transferred wirelessly again we were at making artsy we just popped it
onto their wireless network and off we went and you may if you haven't seen any
other sky and cat videos and I made this little kind of reference chart for
myself and what I did was I stamped out the same unicorn image from MFT stamps
and I'd cut it out on my scanning car and then put it on a piece of black
cardstock and laminated it with some labels and I just did it that we have
all the different options of cutting either on the line on this far side over
here and then all the way up to the point to which I tend not to cut any
more than a point to you can also cut your image inside a circle or a square
so you could scan in your unicorn image and then you can say to the scanning cut
put it inside a circle and it will perfectly Center inside that circle and
you can tell it what size of circle you want i which i think is really neat
because when we're die-cutting lots of us struggled to maybe get it perfect and
then you don't have to buy a million basic dies either and the other thing
about this is i worked out if i didn't by around about ten sets of coordinating
dies my machine had paid for itself so that is the reason that I bought the
scanner cap because I can scan in my stamped images and I can cut any kind of
outline a1 or any kind of shape that I want that's in the machine and it's
already done for me so that's why I invested the other thing in this is it
has different types of scanning so again there's different options and it can cut
a lot more material than the scanning cut to so if you cut maybe thicker
materials or you cut a lot final then definitely the scanning cut DX is a
great Sheen the other thing is many people say
to me well my scanner isn't all that great on my scan and cut one almost
gonna cut two now if you have a scan and cut one you only have a black and white
scanning option quite often if you have a sky cut to you may find you switch
yourself to that color scanning option which gives you even
better scanning it's even more detail scaling and it sometimes picks up those
lighter lines and you can kind of do even more options with it as well now
also with using the online software there's an image trace option which
means you can cut kind of inside lines and you can do some really fun things
with it as well again all inbuilt in the DX not so much in the CM 350 so another
thing the other thing I have discovered which you can really help yourself and
it's a super cheap tip is I have started something with my favorite things
extreme black ink ever since I moved to this ink for my
stamping with my scaling hat I have found that I have far far less issues
with my stamping with my scanning rather I have found that my scans are far far
more reliable we use this extreme black now extreme black means that it's a
really really dark black image the other one that works really really well with
your scanning cup is going to be the genic a amalgam ink again a really nice
Angers kind of work with your alcohol markers it's gonna work with everything
those two inks are going to be the best investments if you work with a scan and
cut so again I'll pop those links in the video description and if you want to
kind of you know really play around and if you do have issues with your scanning
I would really play around with using those two inks also double stamp if you
use a stamp platform something like a misty or if you have the Tim Holtz one
or whatever one you work with the Stamper artists all of those double
stamp whether you use these inks whether you have a preference for another ink if
you stamp onto your image twice you just layer up and it just becomes a little
bit crisper again your scanning is going to be better and again if you have an
issue turn on that color scanning if you have your cm 350 if you already have a
DX turn on that color scanning I will try to do a video of how
you turn on color scanning as well we'll add that to our video list so we can add
it into this playlist when it's available
and if you want to know when those videos come out you want to hit the
subscribe button and ring that bell that's next to the subscribe button as
well that will give you notifications of our videos so that's how that works so
let's think about okay I have a scaling cut one I like it but I'm thinking about
joining you to upgrade what do I upgrade to if you have a scan and cut one I'm
going to suggest you do upgrade with scan and cut DX because the DX is
quieter it has better scanning capabilities and the price difference
between a cm 350 and a DX is not huge and right now brother has some amazing
deals and again I'm gonna make sure you've got some links to those as well
it has that auto blade feature as well so whatever cardstock you want to work
with its watercolor paper cardstock vinyl all those things and it has a half
cut option which is really really easy to use as well that's for your vinyl and
things then I think that this machine is just so easy to use it's I think it's
the most intuitive machine that brother has produced and again your screen it
can fold flat so if you have a much smaller crafting area you can just fold
your screen flat and then you can just push it back up when you're done you can
of course do that with your CM 350 as well it's just a little bit different
you have to that's what you have to remember how you do it she says I think
you flip this possibly and then it goes down like this so you can also do that
on here the other thing is there's nowhere to put your stylus and things
when you have the CM 350 but what I really like on the sound hub DX is
you'll also notice you have a little cubby hole in here and this cubby hole
is great because if I had my stylus which I'm gonna grab back it just fits
perfectly in here and sometimes if I'm working with the embossing pieces I put
my extra tools in here so whatever I'm working on I'll pop all of those things
in here if you're wondering what this button does this releases your rollers
so when you're using vinyl feeder or if you're using some of the toolkits and
things that releases your feeder up so that you can adjust these rollers which
will knee if you're using some of those
accessories it also on the side you'll see it has no wrong side on this side
we're gonna turn towards you it has a scanner button on the end here and this
just lifts or puts down your scanner depending on what accessory kit you're
using and it also depends on the height of the material that you're using so
again it just allows for that little bit of flexibility on there as well now if
you have a scanning cut - is it worth upgrading to the scanning cut DX well as
with all of these things it depends if you craft like I do and I'm crafting
every single day I'm sitting here and making youtube videos I'm making cards
and doing all those things and yes for me it was worth upgrading to the
scanning cut DX I like the fact of how quiet it is if you're a nighttime
crafter and you craft when the kids have gone to bed maybe when the husband's
gone to bed and you know noise is an issue because Greg used to moan how
noisy this was when he was playing his xbox because it disturbed his game then
he's throwing his arms laughs at me behind the camera uh-huh then yes this I
was so surprised how quiet it was this is quieter than my cricket it's part of
the my silhouette it's a whisper whisper quiet and so I really liked the fact of
how quiet it is so for me that was a huge selling point I always liked the
fact of how the auto blade because sometimes I really struggled to get the
right settings for the fact that I cut watercolor paper and then I cut Nina and
then I might cut my bristol smooth and then I cut vinyl and then I cut these
beautiful handmade papers behind me and every time I had to find the appropriate
settings with the auto blade in the DX I didn't have to do that so for me the
investment was definitely worth it and I bought all of these machines my money
brother did not give me these machines I do so I did some work with rather but I
bought these machines so I have no kind of vested interest in whichever one you
buy you I am giving you my honest opinion on why I think each one is
better so if you have a scan and cut two and you just use it occasionally might
be for your die-cut if you always use the same paper and you just have a
favorite then I think you probably wouldn't want to upgrade to the DX
unless you really really want to if you love having the late
machine then by all means and as always we have a crafty sales group on Facebook
check the link in the description I'll put that there - we posted was the
latest offers and we have a hedgehog color newsletter we send out on a Friday
again we put the latest sales in there so if there's a huge savings and
discounts on a machine we'll make sure they are in there as well so you can
keep your eye on those and we send them out to you and but if you're crafting
all the time or a night time crafter if you're changing up things if you're into
your mixed media and you want to have to cut thick of things then absolutely this
kind of cap TX is amazing if you're huge into your vinyl maybe you have an Etsy
store or you do craft fairs or you just love cutting vinyl scan and hub TX is
amazing particularly with that extra vinyl roll feeder also I should mention
that our Dena models so if you have a brother embroidery machine and you want
to be able to cut out your Moyer files then you're going to need the dealer
model that's the difference the dealer models interact with the embroidery
machines they have some extra features in there if you're a paper crafter and
all you want to do is stamp some images and you want to cut them out or you want
to cut the odd SVG file which are those fab cup files you see around then the CM
350 or the DX 1 to 5 is absolutely perfect and all of those accessory packs
that the binaural feeder the embossing pack the foiling pack which I cannot
wait to show you the projects I did for makeup artsy with those fab would be
absolutely fine for you as well so if you have any questions leave them in the
description in the comment section below or you can leave them on the blog as
well the Hedgehog College of comm and links are in the description to the blog
post that goes with this don't forget to check out those links the video
description below as well and I've also of course put links throughout this
video to the playlist and other scouting Hut videos that I've done as well and
we'll keep adding to those scanning cup videos too so thank you so much for

TW Answers--What Did Christ Mean to Let the Dead Bury the Dead? - Duration: 3:00.
Welcome to Tomorrow's World Answers.
In both Mark and Luke's accounts of the Gospel, Jesus is recorded as making a statement which
many seem to think is a very harsh comment towards a young man, for seemingly having
the best interest of his family in mind.
What did Christ mean when He said: "Let the Dead Bury the Dead"?
Let's begin be reading Luke's account of this statement.
Then He said to another, "Follow me" But he said, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father."
Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom
of God."
And another also said, "Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell
who are at my house."
But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is
fit for the kingdom of God."
To understand what Jesus was intending by the remark, let us first look at the context
in which He spoke.
Christ was here offering this man an opportunity to be called into His ministry by becoming
a promoter of the Gospel message.
The man replied that he had to first go and bury his father.
Christ was, however, not being hardhearted in this comment, as he was not saying he should
not attend his father's funeral.
In many places Jesus Christ taught that we need to pay respect to others, especially
to our parents as the 5th commandment requires.
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord
your God is giving you.
Jesus was able to detect that this young man was making an excuse to avoid accepting the
responsibility being offered.
His father may have been older, not yet dead, and appears to be using the excuse of helping
his father as a way of avoiding further involvement with Christ.
The expression fundamentally implies: "I shall get involved after my father dies."
The man in question could have found a way to serve God first and also care for his father.
God would have ensured that could happen.
God caused this comment of Christ to be recorded, to enable those whom God is calling to know
that they should not allow other cares or concerns to keep them from following the way
of life and the mission God has put before them.

Alter Ego Game Of The Year Awards 2018 - Duration: 9:02.

Massive Food Challenge: "Travis on a Silver Platter" Burrito from Man v Food | Freak Eating - Duration: 10:02.
in early October, we traveled to Albuquerque New Mexico to check out the
International hot-air balloon festival that was a new experience for me and
everything was definitely scenic af on our way home we crossed off a lifetime
bucket list item for me when we went to eat at Grandma's KNI diner in
Albuquerque the challenge here is to eat a giant burrito buried under a mountain
of french fries it comes served to you on a silver platter
it's name is rather appropriate it's the Travis on a silver platter I have no
idea who Travis is but he must have been one hungry dude the pile of fries is so
dense you can barely see the burrito but trust me it's there somewhere the big
burrito comes stuffed with beef beans green and red chili lettuce cheese and
tomatoes with no fanfare no BS and no Stalin it's time to eat you get one hour
to tackle this massive food challenge and if you can clear the whole platter
you score a free meal otherwise you'll be shelling out about 30 bucks when man
vs. food did a special about this restaurant
they had three guys all named Travis all trying the challenge and they all failed
I needed to prove to myself that this challenge wasn't impossible I've heard
about it for years honestly I've heard of it ever since I
started doing food challenges back in 2008 but I was never able to stop by and
make it happen part of why it never happened was I live
in California but also I had a hard time being in Albuquerque during the
restaurants normal business hours the last three or four times I passed
through the city it was already after 3:00 p.m. and the place was closed it's
a solid reminder about the need to do research and the importance of planning
ahead in 2018 though everything lined up for me perfectly I was mildly nervous
heading into the challenge because I'd heard stories about how huge and epic
this challenge was in my imagination it's sitting up there with the Big Texan
the 72-ounce steak challenge in terms of difficulty so I wanted to make
absolutely sure that I put in a good effort and got the victory when they
bring it out to you on the silver platter and there's so many fries that
you can barely see the burrito you know you're in for a ridiculous food fight
this was my second ever food challenge in New Mexico but my very first in
Albuquerque I wanted to make it count I also wanted to be neat and used my
utensils but when it came to the French fries it felt like using my hands was
the better way to go there were at least two and a half pounds of fries on that
platter but they came out very warm cooked to a soft consistency that was
very easy to eat they also held in a mildly spicy flavor that was very
attractive to my mouth I wanted more and more in all of the
food challenges I've ever done these were some of the least difficult fries
to actually get through they melted in my mouth making them less of a test on
my jaw and throat and more of a test for my stomach capacity if there were three
times as many fries I don't know how well I would have done with this
challenge to some extent the amount of fries here seems to be slightly random
and that can definitely make or break a challengers odds of success if you watch
other food challenges you'll know that some people love fries and some people
hate fries if you hate fries this is going to be a very hard challenge the
burrito that was under the fries was nothing short of delicious I'd estimate
it was around five pounds there was no weight listing for the
challenge on the menu or anywhere in the restaurant so I needed to gauge it
against other big burrito challenges I've done in the past the beef and beans
in the burrito were very tender and overall very satisfying to eat there's a
red chili sauce inside the burrito that was unlike any sauce at ever encountered
in California Arizona or Nevada once again confirming that New Mexican
cuisine really does exist in its own world you cross that state border and
all of a sudden you just eaten really different food the sauce was spicy at
times and in some spots slightly bland but it happened but it had a very meaty
flavor that went well with everything inside the burrito
it also made everything a little wet including the tortilla that wrapped up
everything and that wetness soften the tortilla enough to make chewing through
it a breeze the green chili on top of the burrito was fascinating it was only
mildly spicy but it contains some flowery flavor that didn't remind me of
any chili I'd ever eaten in California god I love that green chili the cheese
lettuce and tomatoes added to the variety of textures but honestly they
were a blur and they were very easily forgotten in the whirlwind of french fry
and chili sauce there's not much more to say at the moment the inside of the
diner was a little cramped but no doubt it's a very cozy experience and a
community treasure judging from how long this place has been in business and it
was kind of packed the staff were all really awesome to us especially the
manager who ensured that I had enough space to set up my video camera and who
gave me plenty of time to take photos before starting up the official
challenge
you
you
with most of the burrito and the fries already gone the manager came over and
set down a framed photo in front of me of Stephanie Torres rest in peace and
the manager told me that Stephanie set the record on this challenge a few years
ago she finished in 25 minutes and by all accounts and without realizing it
when I started this challenge I was actually on a pace to better that time
all that really wanted to do that morning was complete this challenge but
setting a record made it even more memorable I tip my hat to Stephanie a
great competitor who died far too young
moments like these remind me that life is unfortunately a very serious place
sometimes
not two minute for 2017
yeah
and boom goes the dynamite the Travis and the silver platter challenge was
vanquished in a record 18 minutes and it now rests in the pages of the
freakeating history books there is still one more food challenge from New Mexico
coming to the channel so subscribe today and don't miss it hit that like button
before you go and I'll see you all in the next video until we do it again stay
in school don't do drugs and eat like a freak

Messi has always been a humble player
He is the definition of a true underdog story
the short kid who came up with all the tall kids when I mean that people are saying oh,
You have to be big and strong to play football
He kind of defy that
and the children when they see Messi, his life story. Of course may say
"Ok, we can get anything in the life because Messi can do it"
We use to expect that a world class player behaves in a bully way
and he is completely the opposite.
Because he is the biggest player but the same time he is just a man just a human and he show it
He has his family, he loves it
The fact that his family is also like ordinary people
Makes us feel that he's not wearing a crown
He's just a normal person
And it's important for people to know that
the guy who is a world star
He's very much like them.

Two Koreas aim to link railways to Eurasian continent and become logistics hub - Duration: 3:38.
South and North Korea are wrapping up their 2018 in just a positive / way as
they started it officials from the two Koreas held a groundbreaking ceremony on
Wednesday for their joint railway and rope reject north of the border
most will remember that the leaders of the two Koreas promised to move ahead
with the projects in April but the two sides have actually been making on and
off and on and off again attempts to link their transport networks for almost
20 years now so you can see how yesterday was such a big deal our
Unification Ministry correspondent Jang he has this report
railways running across the Korean Peninsula have been cut since the two
Koreas division after the Korean War in June 2000 the leaders of South and North
Korea met for the first time and their meeting led to an agreement to restore
the peninsula's Western County realign and that's how this train station to
Rahsaan came into being in 2002 located only 700 meters away from the
demilitarized zone Taurus on is the northernmost train station in the south
but despite the two Koreas grand goal of restoring the railway few trains have
traveled along this route after a test run in 2007 cargo trains used to cross
the border on their way to them now suspended inter-korean factory park the
Kaesong Industrial Complex but those trains only ran from 2007 to 2008 since
then tourism station has rather served more as a transit office between the two
Koreas than a rail station we've come 56 kilometers from Seoul to arrive at this
border station and from here there's another 205 kilometers to go to reach
Pyongyang but as you can see the railway tracks here that stretch into North
Korea are empty South Korean trains that arrive here
can't go any further this is the last point on South Korea's western railway
but this station will also become the first train station heading to North
Korea once inter-korean railways are connected and
this means a lot more than just increasing inter-korean trade it means
that South Korea which can only trade goods with Eurasian countries using
shipping will be connected to the continents rail network ending decades
of isolation the trans Korean railway will be linked directly to the trans
Manchurian and trans-siberian railway which offer routes to other railways
that cut through Eurasia the distance Goods have to travel with dropped by
10,000 kilometers compared to shipping reducing time and costs North Korea is
well aware of this fact a senior North Korean government economist told The
Associated Press the Korean Peninsula has a great advantage in terms of
location and if Pyongyang uses railways from South Korea through Siberia then
other countries would prefer these rails to shipping South Korea was able to join
the organization for cooperation between railways back in June upon approval by
28 member states including North Korea though the actual railway construction
will begin yet and many more surveys need to be done
Wednesday's groundbreaking ceremony and Seoul's membership in the
intergovernmental organization opens the door to future possibilities Oh jung-hee

Special Electrical Practice for Oil, Gas and Chemical Tankers - Duration: 18:09.
This is program six of video tells series on practical marine electrical
knowledge the series is made up of eight programs program six deals with special
electrical practice relating to vessels designed to carry flammable cargo it
also aims to develop a greater awareness of the safety elements and design
features built into the electrical system of such ships we shall also show
the special electrical equipment certified for use in hazardous areas
demonstrate the servicing of a flameproof light fitting and the method
of fitting a cable gland to a flameproof motor
there are many system variations around so it is most important that you become
familiar with the components of the electrical system and the layout of the
main switchboard immediately you join a ship pay particular attention to the
layout of the emergency switchboard this study will pay dividends during a
blackout or when troubleshooting the cause of a major breakdown
now we must emphasize electrical safety the golden rule is before any work is
done on an electrical installation first isolate the circuit by removing the
supply fuses or locking the circuit breaker in the open position so that the
circuit cannot be energized accidentally then post a warning sign to alert others
that the circuit is being worked on then prove the circuit dent with a
voltmeter or an approved line tester a switchboard can never be considered dead
unless all AC generators connected to it are stopped locked off and all other
supplies are disconnected these points can never be emphasized strongly enough
the electrical rescue procedure is described in program one of this series
a variety of instrumentation on board ship guards controls or monitors the
ship's functioning the red shaded areas on this drawing show the hazardous areas
relating to the Electrical Code of practice which is the subject of this
program generally they are cough next two cargo tanks compressor rooms
and pump rooms and about a three meter periphery surrounding all outlets for
the flammable cargo as far as the electrical system is concerned the
problems here relate to the cables going through these areas and the servicing of
electrical plant operating therein also they involve the use of intrinsically
safe electrical instrumentation and equipment as a general recommendation
hull returns and neutral earth systems are not normally allowed except in the
case of some high voltage systems of 3.3 kV and above where the circuits are not
allowed in any dangerous area also the generating plant switchboards and
battery systems must be separated from the cargo tanks by a gas tight cofferdam
cables laid along the four decks should be installed in steel piping in such a
way as to allow for any structural movement of the ship without strain or
chafing these rectangular expansion boxes house a loop in the cable runs to
allow for expansion the piping to and from the boxes also allows for the
expansion movement of the ship through runs of cables may be permitted through
pump rooms copper dams or enclosures next to cargo
tanks provided they run in heavy gauge steel piping with gas tight joints
cables which are associated with intrinsically safe equipment must be
separated from all other cables and clearly identified as such here the blue
color code is used they will have their own separate power supplies and a zener
protection barrier the Zener barrier ensures that the
maximum preset voltage in the circuitry cannot rise above the prescribed safety
level which ensures the certification of intrinsically safe
EXI EXI or intrinsically safe equipment and circuitry has a protection technique
which confines the energy within the system below a level which is capable of
causing an explosion in a dangerous atmosphere exd certified equipment is
flame proof and relies on the integrity of its encasement to withstand any
internal pressure of an explosion without any flame being emitted exp type
equipment on the other hand is equipment which is protected by a pressurized
inner atmosphere made up of air or inert gas this prevents the possibility of a
dangerous air vapor mixture entering the enclosure of the electrical apparatus
examples of these are seen here
light fittings in hazardous areas must be a flameproof
or pressurized types these light units must be on at least two independent
final branch circuits so that one may be disconnected for maintenance while the
other supplies enough light for safe access switches for these lights must be
double pole interrupting both supply lines and must be situated outside the
hazardous area the maintenance of a flameproof light fitting involves two
specific objectives first the prevention of any deterioration in the equipment
safety level and second ensuring it's correct
safe function
use only naam abrasive materials for cleaning lightly grease then wipe clean
the flanges before fitting them together
periodic maintenance inspection and cleaning will necessitate the inspection
of all flanges glassware and cementing to ensure that they are within the
certified safety level if either the cementing or the glass envelope appear
damaged do not try to mend or replace either the whole fitting has to be
replaced by a new part obtained from the manufacturer it's important to remember
that there is a great deal of difference between flameproof and weatherproof
fittings do not put a gasket between the flanges of a flameproof fitting to make
it weatherproof this will invalidate its flameproof certificate as will any other
modification of the original design
when reassembling these types of fittings extra care must be taken to
ensure that the flanges are clean
the special flameproof cable gland must be checked for tightness and the
electrical connection made again ensuring that the conductor is held
tightly in the terminal box there must be no loose wire strand left in the
terminal box solder the strands of a multi strand conductor to eliminate the
possibility of short-circuit and ensure a secure connection
when tightening any bolts or nuts holding flanges together the force used
should not be more than necessary to prevent loosening by vibration
excessive force may cause undetected fracture of a boat a casting or other
parts of the securing mechanism if a broken stud has to be removed from a
blind hole great care must be taken to avoid damaging the internal thread or
drilling through into the flameproof enclosure
broken or missing screws must be replaced by ones of the same diameter
thread length type and quality of steel
finally check once again that the flameproof gland is correctly tightened
remember the installation must not be changed in any way for any reason as
this may invalidate its certified safety level electrical motors which drive
cargo pumps or compressors are housed in the motor room and they're separated
from the compressor room by a gas tight bulkhead the drive shaft has to be
fitted with gas tight glands where it passes through the bulkhead
the motors are required to be the pressurized type or increased safety Exe
construction
the starters and the control gear for these motors must be housed elsewhere
outside the hazardous area the motor room is pressurized so that gas or vapor
may not enter the air space where the motors are operating entrance to the
motor room is through a system of double doors controlled by a pair of micro
switches and the safety light indicator the system should ensure that one door
is opened only when the other is shut
when a cable run is laid to a flameproof motor special attention must be given to
the preparation of the cable end and fitting the special flameproof gland
onto the cable
here the required length of the outer sheath is stripped off to reveal the
steel armor II allow plenty of time for this work and use sharp tools
the armoring is then cut round with a wire cutter and pulled off
a further short piece of the outer sheath is stripped back as you see here
this will free a further length of armoring which will be clamped between
the double rings of the gland to put tight and secure fitting use special
flameproof glands which have longer threaded flame paths and rubber seal
rings with extended hold on the cable forming another flame cloth carefully
dismantled the cable gland and secure the threaded base unit in the terminal
box
fit the lock nuts on the cable
then the double rings for gripping the steel armory
fit the conical rings below and above the loose armoring like this ready for
tightening
temporarily remove the rubber seal ring from the terminal box port and feed
through the cable
tightening the two pressure fittings with a spanner
this would ensure that the two conical rings gripped the armoring tightly
remove the cable from the terminal box
and replace the rubber seal ring
prepare the conductor ends for receiving the terminal lungs and feed through the
cable again into the terminal box
now the conductor ends are fitted into crimped lugs
and the cable connected to the terminals
check that the lugs hold the cable tight so that they will not vibrate loose when
the motor is operating
nuts are tightened sufficiently to avoid becoming loose due to vibration finally
check their labels to ensure that all portable apparatus such as portable
radios torches or insulation resistance testers are specially approved
intrinsically safe types certified for use in hazardous areas if you use
portable electrical equipment or tools ensure that their connections and cables
are sound and safe to use in the area in which you intend to use them this
concludes the subject for program six here we dealt with the special
electrical safety design features which are built into a vessel designed to
carry hazardous cargo we have dealt with the essential difference between general
electrical practice and specific electrical practice in hazardous areas
we have seen how to service a flameproof light fitting and how to prepare the
cable and cable gland for a flameproof motor emphasis was laid on maintaining
the equipment's certified safety level at all times this is the most important
single difference between working on equipment for use in hazardous areas and
other general electrical installations and lastly we dealt with the use of
intrinsically safe portable equipment we recommend that you watch this program
again and that you consult the book practical Marine electrical knowledge
which accompanies this series and will allow you to study certain aspects in
greater detail finally here's a list of contents for all the programs in the
series

Analysis - Anfield legends in the making as defence stands tall again - Duration: 6:10.
There were some bona fide legends taking in the Boxing Day action at Anfield. On one row alone sat Alan Shearer, Kevin Keegan and Kenny Dalglish
Spotted, too, was Take That front-man and Liverpool fan Gary Barlow in the more plush surrounds in the Main Stand
Cue a barrage of song-related quips from social media japesters. One, though, hit the mark by taking the group's biggest hit and applying a gentle twist to reference the reason Liverpool are this season genuine title challengers: "Back 4 Good
" That the Reds stand six points clear at the top of the Premier League is forged on a defence that continues to set remarkable records
Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will start in 8Cancel Play now Another clean sheet, this time in the 4-0 cruise against Newcastle United, means Jurgen Klopp's side have now conceded just seven goals in half a top-flight season
No team has conceded fewer at this stage in Premier League history. That City have kept only one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League games points to why they have suddenly started dropping points
They have conceded more goals in their last five league games than Liverpool have all season
Indeed, the late save by Alisson Becker from Newcastle substitute Sean Longstaff was cheered almost as loudly as any of Liverpool's goals
And the defence all did their bit here. Virgil van Dijk was at his effortless best, Andy Robertson didn't stop running, Dejan Lovren popped up with the all-important opener and Trent Alexander-Arnold laid on the third for Xherdan Shaqiri
Legends in the stands. And, if the defence keeps this up, legends in the making on the pitch too
Paying the penalty Make no mistake, 423 days is a long time in football. That, though, was how long Liverpool had gone without being awarded a Premier League penalty at Anfield before stepping out here
For a team that has remained unbeaten at home during that period and been among the top-flight's leading scorers, it was a head-scratchingly remarkable statistic
In fact, you had to go back to November 2016 for the last time the Reds scored a Premier League spot-kick at Anfield when James Milner converted in the win over Sunderland
The Black Cats are now a League One team. So there was a certain sense of disbelief when, three minutes after the interval against Newcastle, referee Graham Scott pointed to the penalty spot

File under 'player probably fed up at never getting a spot kick so decided to make the mind up of the official for him'
With Milner absent, Salah – who'd missed that last home Reds penalty against Huddersfield Town in October 2017 – placed the ball on the 12-yard mark and confidently despatched beyond Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka
Rafael Benitez, given another warm ovation on his latest return, admits that was the game
And a 15th goal of the season demonstrates Salah's second-season syndrome is one any player would want to acquire
Eyes on the prize Having taken four points from the last 66 on offer at Anfield, history indicated Newcastle United would always be up against it here
So it proved, although Rafael Benitez, such is his way, threw a curveball with a team selection Jurgen Klopp admitted took Liverpool a little while to grapple with
And there are some other numbers worth repeating. Liverpool have now kept as many clean sheets, 12, as they did during the 1989-90 season when they last won the championship
They have the same goal difference as Manchester City, +36, which only weeks ago had been viewed as an extra point for Pep Guardiola's side
Liverpool are unbeaten in 20 Premier League games – a club record – and this was Klopp's 100th win in 181 competitive games in charge

They lifted their most recent trophy, the League Cup, during that campaign. Now eyes are firmly fixed on a more coveted prize
Next comes Arsenal at home, then City away. The festive period remains as pivotal as ever

Should You Drink Water Before or After A meal - Duration: 3:14.
I hate when somebody axes me a question as soon as like given the answer they
got an attitude with it that pisses me off today I got one question I have tons
of questions but I tried to delete it a lot of the questions because they were
all over the place the new years starting and I will get tons of private
messages at a later date so the question that I got here was
should you drink water before or after a meal people let's not make this
complicated you can drink water before and after a meal like in my case giving
you a good example something I have learned to do is I like to add potassium
in a slice of lime to my water because when I was juicing every time I ate
solid foods or whatever have you I was swelling up from the sodium that
was inside the food so what I did to change that was I had made an
electrolyte drink I'm still eating the candy one know why my cheeks are big um
I was drinking an electrolyte drink that I made from home
well potassium in it 1/4 teaspoon in 32 ounce water and one slice of lime or
lemon juice so I can flush out of my kidneys and my liver in the blood all
the food after I ate my meal I drank the water to flush my system out of the
sodium it's very important to do that when you're on a diet or regiment
because when you're losing weight and fat is coming out of the fat cells it
fills with water so one your body's already holding on to water and two when
you're eating you hold on to more water because the sodium so the best thing to
do is you can eat but when you're eating also drink water before and after
enduring the meal not that much during the meal but before you eat a meal and
after it's fine there's not anything that is a bad thing because the water is
in place to keep up on the sodium of the foods that you're eating and also to
process process any of the toxins out of the system so I hope that answered your
question yes you can drink water before and after your meal that's not a problem
at all I do it all the time and I don't see it being a problem you doing it as
well so what all that being said because this video is not gonna be too long
hope I answers this question for you please subscribe to the channel like and
share this video make a favorite and I'll see you guys in the next video bye
