Australias hottest town recorded a whopping 49C as the nation battles a blistering heatwave.á
Marble Bar,ánorth-western Western Australia, has built its reputation as one of Australias hottest towns - which was literally the case on Thursday.áá
The minuscule town with the population of 174 residents recordedá48.4C at just 11am.
The Bureau of Meteorology said temperatures peaked at 49.1C in Marble Bar, while large parts of the country continue to swelter through heatwaves.ááá
Heatwave conditions occur when both maximum and minimum temperatures remain well above average for the time of year, the Bureau said.á
Western Australia was not the only state to stretch over the 40C mark, with a number of other locations bracing the unrelenting temperatures.
The mercury hitá46.8C in Port Augusta and Whyalla, South Australias mid north region.
Alice Springs rose to 44C and Adelaide recorded 43.7C.á
Tennant Creek, in the Northern Territory, is about to head into the 28th day where temperatures have risen above 40C.
Forecaster Bradley Wood from the Bureau said the town completely smashes their previous record.
Previously the most theyd had in a month was 20 (days) in January 2008, Mr Wood told the ABC.á
In 1972, Tennant Creek recorded 16 days of heat over 40C.áá
Mayor Steve Edgington said residents were avoiding stepping outside and their was a strain on air conditioners.
A lot of people are staying indoors, and its certainly had an impact on Christmas Day, Mr Edgington said.áá
Temperatures in Victoria also soared above 40C with the Bureau recordingá40.3C at Essendon Airport and 39.8C at Tullamarine Airport on Thursday afternoon.
In northwest Victoria, Mildura hitá43.8C andáSwan Hill reached 43.6C at 3pm.
The CBD lingered near the 40C mark, recordingá a sizzling 39C.
The Bureau shared a map of the Melbourne area which showed the intense temperatures surrounding the city.áá
A hot day in Melbourneátoday but the weak seabreeze is keeping things a little milder around the Bay, the Bureau said.
There was a total fire ban foráMallee and Wimmera, Victoria, on Thursday and warning for Mallee has been issued for Friday.á
Amid the intense conditions, Melbourne residents were greeted by a stunning sunrise on Thursday morning.
The high temperatures across the country are anticipated to continue through to Sunday, with temperaturesáexpected to be 10C to 15C higher than usual for late December.
Sky News chief meteorologist Tom Saunders said the conditions will continue for about another week, news.com.au reported.
We are seeing maximum temperatures up to 15C above average for December and this heatwave is not over yet, he said.á
In fact, its only just got started.
It started on Monday and its forecast to continue until at least the middle of next week. We are perhaps, in some areas, expecting a heatwave which will last at least 10 days or so.
Weatherzone meteorologist Jacob Cronje said a high-pressure system was trapping the heat.áá
This heat has started to build-up over the north-western parts of the country and thats extended all the way down to the south-east, he told theáToday Show.á
Thats all been kept in place by a high-pressure system to the east of the country, effectively blocking and trapping this heat over all of us.
While there is some relief in sight for parts of Australia from early next week, other areas will not be spared from the stifling heat until mid-January.á
Over South Australia, a cool change is set to come through that really will translate mainly to cooling South Australia and Victoria, Mr Cronje said.
We really wont see significant cooling over New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory for the foreseeable future and the heat could even extend, although to a lesser degree, well into the New Year and even into the second week of January.
The top of the Northern Territory, meanwhile, is in the midst of the monsoon season, with showers expected through to the New Year.á
It reminds us all that Australia is a continent with very significant varying atmospheric conditions, Mr Cronje said.á áá
In Altona, west of Melbourne, fisherman and joggers hit the pier for an early morning cast on Thursday before the inevitable crowd surge.
They were welcomed by a magnificent sunrise that looked like it was straight from a Star Wars movie.
Bureau of Meterology ForecasteráKevin Parkyn said Victorias Mallee region was expecting a heatwave not seen since 1920.á
Were looking at five consecutive days above 40 degrees in [Kerang] and we have to go back to about 1920 in the record books when we saw four consecutive days in December, Mr Parkyn said.á
Sky News senior meteorologist Tristan Meyers said the national heatwave would challenge the record books.áá
This is not only due to how hot individual days are going to be - for example 45C, 46C, and potentially 47C in parts of western, southern New South Wales, northern Victoria and South Australia - but also how prolonged its going to be, he said.á
For some areas were going to see a week or more of 45C-plus temperatures and that hasnt ever happened before -particularly in December, but potentially all time.
Central Victoria is forecast to reach blistering temperatures above 40C by the end of the week, with Mildura - in the states north-west - expecting a top of 46C on Sunday.á
The only part of the country not closing in on record-setting temperatures is coastal Queensland, parts of which are still recovering from ex-Tropical Cyclone Owen.
New South Wales will experience stifling heat only a week after two supercell storms battered Sydney.á
Western Sydney could even see four consecutive days of 40-plus degrees, starting from Friday, when temperatures in Penrith are forecast to hit 41C.á
The sweltering weather has led to warnings from health authorities to limit sun exposure.
New South Wales Health said in a statement residents should expect high heat and ozone pollution over the coming days.
People can be unprepared for the first real heat of summer, so this is a reminder of the safety measures we can all take to limit overheating and sun exposure, New South Wales Health Executive Director Dr Jeremy McAnulty said.
Its important to keep up water intake, stay cool and avoid strenuous physical activity in the heat of the day because heat places a lot of strain on the body and cause dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
DráMcAnulty said the ozone pollution was of particular concern for asthma sufferers.áá
As ozone can irritate the lungs, people with asthma need to follow their Asthma Action Plan and take their relieving medication where necessary. If symptoms get worse, they need to seek medical advice, he said.á
People living in areas consumed by the high temperatures have been told to drink plenty of water and to care for those most vulnerable.á
Beachgoers keen to make use of the sun are also urged to be careful in the surf amid a number of drownings, including four deaths on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.áá

what's going on guys this is crunch welcome back to the channel today's
episode we're gonna be focusing again on the drag bat attack this is gonna be for
townhall 12 I'm gonna focus on two different bases we're gonna really break
them down after we've had this attack for a couple weeks so I'm gonna go
through with you guys how we're dissecting bases in Spartans legacy and really
breaking down the attack so you guys can execute them properly in your own Wars
stay through the entire video guys you're gonna want to check out both of
these we're gonna dive into them and hopefully it helps you guys out!
Alright guys before we get started quick little reminder if you haven't drop a

show your support make sure you're always up to date on the latest from the
channel and up-to-date on the current meta so today's video guys we're gonna
dive in and we're gonna really break down the attacks at townhall 12 with the
new dragons and the bat spells so we've got two different bases we're gonna
break down we're gonna kind of go through a couple things that I noticed
some of the other guys inside Spartans legacy pay attention to hopefully it
helps you guys out wanted to get a little bit more detailed here so we're
gonna go in first this is Hodor AKA viserion coming in on base number seven so
we're gonna go ahead and scout it out first so this base so a couple things
that I just want to kind of call out first and foremost so you're gonna see
bases kind of evolve and add the multi infernos more now that you've got that
drag bat attack pretty prominent in clash of clans you're gonna see a lot
more multi so wizard towers placed by the multi inferno so you can kind of see
here a couple things you want to pay attention to if you were to drop the bat
spell kind of raged up right here it's gonna really struggle for a couple
different reasons so the multi infernos are just gonna melt that bat spell
pretty quickly you've got the surrounding wizard towers
that's the biggest threat multis and the wizard towers so
when I'm kind of looking at bases I'm gonna look at how many air defenses I
can take out I'm gonna look at hopefully taking out the Eagle artillery that's
one thing I really like to get with this attack and that's kind of the main thing
there guys so you're gonna look at it you know multi or single infernos as
well as air defenses so you know this base here when we're kind of looking at
it you've got a baby Inferno down here that's just a level one so not much of a
threat surrounded by a bunch of wizard towers over here at about nine o'clock
you've got the townhall followed by a couple air defenses archer towers as
well the three o'clock side of the base you've got you know that's not gonna be
the most ideal you've got a multi and a few wizard towers you're able to freeze
you know this set here with one freeze spell go ahead and rage up you've got
this wizard tower that's out of range that's gonna be an issue so on this
particular base guys the best bet is to go ahead and freeze rage and drop the
bat spells on this top Inferno tower you're gonna get through a couple of air
defenses in addition to the Eagle artillery and anything in addition so
you know hopefully that helps you guys out you're gonna use your heroes to
maybe pick out some other things in this attack we use the BK to kind of funnel
one side of the base we're gonna use the Archer Queen to funnel another side and
really just send the dragons in so we're gonna go ahead and press play on this
one and we're gonna watch it in action so you're gonna pay attention to this
North quadrant so you've got the rage spell freeze and then the bat spells
drop you've got seven down and they're just gonna go through the multi inferna
before that freeze wears out and then you're just gonna see those bats kind of
work their way through the base so they're gonna go through the Eagle
artillery you've got a group of bats up at about 10 o'clock they're gonna make
their way and actually get through that air defense there that's the reason he
dropped the Queen there he wasn't entirely sure the bats were gonna make
it that far so really nice job there he's got the beak eight about twelve
just kind of clearing some of that up there now one dragon over there at
nine just to really keep that main group of dragons in towards the Town Hall and
then he drops the loons the stone slammer and the grand warden so you're
gonna see him direct target the Town Hall there
pulls the dragon see see the baby drag see see doesn't end up being too big a
threat but he's gonna tome through that Giga Tesla that's gonna keep everything
alive and at this stage he's out of spells he's essentially relying on that
initial kill squad to push through the rest of this base so you've got that
stone slammer just working through everything the dragons kind of a about
six o'clock they're just gonna kind of wrap around up towards 3:00 but you've
got five loons in your pocket so I liked what he did here he didn't just drop
everything initially he's gonna go ahead and drop those over there at about four
o'clock and that's gonna funnel in like right where that mortar is kind of push
the Dragons in towards the wizard towers and such BK ability finally up at about
2:30 and this base is effectively taken out so really nice job there by Hodor
coming in with the drag bat attack kind of seeing how you can kind of look for
weaknesses in some of these bases you know a lot of these attacks guys you're
able to kind of play around with how many dragon not dragon spells bat spells
how many freezes I've seen anywhere from seven to eight bat spells and you know a
couple freeze spells too just for that bat portion of the attack so really nice
job there we're gonna back out we're gonna go up to base number four so this
one we're gonna go ahead and scout it out triple by yours truly so on this
raid guys so let's just kind of go through the base again so you've got at
the 6 o'clock side you've got the twin wiz tower surrounded by the single
inferno you do have access to the air defense there so you know I could there
drop a rage couple freeze and the bat spells if you kind of look at what maybe
the bats are gonna get they're going to definitely get through that you know
compartment work their way up towards either the air defense
and the expo over here or the Expos and the cannon area up here so I thought
about for a minute to you know if you look over here let me zoom out I don't
mean to zoom too close I want you guys to kind of get a big picture here I
thought about for a minute on this attack attacking here so I was thinking
about a freeze on the multi wiz tower air defense rage and then the bats
hoping the you know with that funnel wall right here between the wizard tower
and the air defense that they'd kind of work down through all of those Expos and
such kind of taking that out you know the other alternative here was over at
nine o'clock really kind of attacking from that single inferno area you know
obviously probably need a freeze on the wizard tower rage them up getting a
couple air defenses hopefully the Eagle artillery and such so there's a couple
different ways you can kind of approach this one I think option two and three
you know are kind of what I would prefer on this base that bottom one I didn't
see a whole lot of value there so we're gonna dive in here again the main
threats is you kind of look at this you want to look at kind of where those
single infernos are those multi infernos where the air defenses wiz towers you
kind of want to look at a combination of those things if you can get away with
taking out with one freeze a couple air defenses the Eagle artillery is huge
that's kind of what I look for so we're gonna go ahead and press play how I did
it just real quick is I actually went in over here at nine o'clock so I went
ahead and I froze this wizard tower and then I dropped the rage in the bat
spells right here at this nine o'clock area and you're just gonna see how much
work these bats did so we'll go into it here so you're gonna see a nice free
rate drop followed by the freeze and then the bat spells that's gonna trigger
this was fresh so I didn't realize those Tesla's were there actually worked out
in my benefit so got a little bit of a bonus there but you're gonna see those
bats pills just work through the inferno you've got a group down there at about
seven o'clock they're gonna work through an expo get that air defense but then
you've got that group of bats they're working on the Eagle artillery after
they kind of made it through the air defenses in the town hall area and you
know just doing a ton of work they're gonna take out the sweeper for me
they're gonna go get both sweepers and I want to go ahead and pause it so just a
ton of value there I got three air defenses and Eagle artillery Inferno
tower a sweeper you know just tons of values so at this stage guys I'm gonna
go ahead and drop my heroes up there at about twelve o'clock goal here was for
Heroes to work down and get this air defense as well
I dropped my baby dragged over at about nine a lot of times I'm taking a baby
dragged where the bats clear just to kind of work on some of those defenses
that have already been cleared not defensive structures that have already
been cleared out by the bats pills so we'll go ahead and press play through
this one BK's down he's gonna work through a
couple of those buildings Archer Queen behind so I'm just gonna watch abilities
there with the heroes I lost my baby dragged to a SAM I believe so didn't get
as much value out of that as I'd hoped but then I go ahead and drop all my
dragons followed by the loons in the stone slammer so I'm gonna go ahead and
bring in the first rage spell I believe I actually saved it a little bit so I'm
gonna allow the dragons to kind of work through this CC obviously you're seeing
those witches and the baby dragged come out so not ideal dragons get through it
pretty quickly though I utilized the rage over here on the stone slammer and
those loons I just wanted to get through that portion of the base really make
sure I take out the expose air all the defenses there but then I go ahead and
tome up my dragons over there at nine o'clock unfortunately they're gonna work
their way through this big group of trash buildings on the outside but where
I raged up that main push of balloons it really took care of all those defenses
there so now all I've got left if I go ahead and pause this up I don't mean to
speed through it sorry guys I've got essentially a thing
Inferno to wizard towers in an archer tower I've got one two three four five
six seven eight Dragons still up over here I've got one dragon up over here at
three o'clock followed by a couple lumens left over and then you can kind
of see what's left of the base not much so we're gonna go ahead and you know go
through the rest of this attack you can just see how much work that raged up
seven batt spell attack does just super overpowering ends up really wrecking the
entire base the execution of this how I kind of didn't get the right funneling
with my dragons still ends up crushing through this last little section I've
only got a few dragons up still you know single does do a little bit of work but

Alberto Moreno has given a brutally honest assessment of his situation with Klopp - Duration: 2:39.
Alberto Moreno's career at Liverpool hasn't been littered with positives. The Spanish left-back arrived at Anfield from Sevilla in 2014 with a glowing reputation, but he will sadly be more remembered in the Premier League for his defensive errors

8 STEPS to IMPROVISE JAZZ with BOTH HANDS - Duration: 26:55.
This lesson is about how to improvise Jazz.
We'll learn a technique to play a thrilling left hand
and then I'll show an easy method to add the right hand.
The lesson is divided into 8 smaller steps.
At each step we add something new
and our sound just gets better and better as we move along.
This is a NewJazz lesson by the way and my name is Oliver Prehn.
Now let me demonstrate the sound we can make
when we have learned all 8 steps...
this drum and bass backing track is quite fast right now, I know.
In this lesson we'll of course slow down the speed
and in this way we can learn the techniques, nice and easy.
OK, here comes step 1.
The first thing we need to do is to make a left hand grip.
So put your middle finger on the g-note,
add the ring finger a whole step below
and the index a whole step above.
Now add the pinkie a perfect fourth below the middle finger…
and the thumb a perfect 4th above.
Now our hand grip makes a perfect symmetrical structure
around the middle finger, look…
this is the pentatonic scale by the way.
So, now we have a left hand chord we can use for a start
so let's proceed to step 2.
We need to clarify the rhythm of the band.
So let's start the drum and bass track in a slow speed…
Now listen to the rhythm of the band...
Here we have the main beats
1 2 3 4 - 1 2 3 4 - 1
and listen, in this case the main beat is divided into 3 sub beats
1 2 3 - 1 2 3 - 1 2 3 - 1 2 3
di ba da - di ba da - di ba di - di ba da - di
Try to play our pentatonic grip on the main beats like this…
and we don't have to play the chord on every beat…
a little better right?
Some chords we can make long…
and some very short…
Well, our sound is still a little boring, stiff and clumsy.
Well, one of the reasons is probably that we only hit the main beats.
So let's try to hit a sub beat instead.
Try out for example the third sub beat…
By hitting the third sub beat we now lift the rhythm
and we make our sound more jazzy and not so clumsy and dense.
We push the main beats so to speak
and in that way we make our Music more jazzy and thrilling.
Now let's also try to exercise the chords on the second sub beat…
This also works great, right?
And let's mix both options…
And it's not like we are not allowed to hit the main beats
so maybe we should also try to mix in a few of those…
By using the contrast between playing the weighted heavy main beats...
and the lifted sub beats...
we can actually vary our sound…
Now, here comes step 3.
Move the left hand grip to different positions like this…
Can you hear?
Now things get more interesting…
So, to be able to do this we need to learn all 12 positions of our hand grip.
We can for example do an exercise going up with half steps…
and down again…
Let's try out other intervals, we can for example go up with whole steps…
and down again…
and maybe try to go up and down in minor third steps…
I like to make these exercises, going up and down in specific interval patterns...
In this way I incorporate some kind of order to my chord progressions
that I may benefit from when improvising Music…
Now let's leave these strict interval patterns
and just play the different positions random...
Now it's totally up to you where to place the hand grip.
This can of course be a little scary
but don't worry
in our Music world every position is valid, no position is forbidden.
So you are totally free to experiment and express yourself…
Remember that we also have different rhythmic options…
so in total we can create almost an infinite number of combinations...
so our playground is already really big now, isn't that fantastic?
So just play around, try out different stuff, be creative and have fun…
Now here comes the golden step; step 4.
Now we have learned to manage this very thick sounding 5 finger hand grip.
The idea is that we can easily thin out the grip.
For example we can just lift the ring finger and the index finger
and we got this well known quartal chord, you see?
A stack of two perfect fourths…
a very nice and very often used chord structure when playing Jazz...
and we can add the ring finger and we have this sound…
a little thicker...
but not as thick as the 5 finger version…
we can also play these 4 notes and we got a minor 7 chord structure…
we can thin out the grip more radically and play only 2 notes…
so now we have a lot of options on how to form our left hand chord…
The idea is that when we have learned to manage the full 5 finger hand grip
it's very easy to use that basis to thin out the notes and make variations.
So when playing we just THINK the entire 5 finger grip
we do not necessarily play all the notes...
So totally we now have a whole lot of potential options in our toolbox.
We can play on different beats as we learned in step 2...
We can place our hand grip at different positions as we learned in step 3...
and finally we can thin out our grip in many different ways
as we have learned in this step 4...
Now let's move on to step 5.
We'll add the right hand and improvise a solo.
Ok, in the left hand we got this main pentatonic hand grip, right?
Now what we do is that we simply copy that grip in the right hand like this…
so this is our left hand chord material
and this is my right hand improvisation material…
If we choose to move the left hand to another position
then we just move the right hand along…
so my left and right hand simply just follow each other…
And very important, we don't have to hit every note at every position.
We just THINK the entire 5 finger hand grip.
So the graphic markers on the keys illustrate
the "THINKED" notes.
And by the way we don't have to play anything in the right hand
every time we change position in the left hand…
And the same goes for the left hand
this hand can also take a break occasionally...
Now, just play around, use your creativity and have fun...
Ok, are you ready for step 6?
This step is about tonalities.
This jam is in C.
And by using the pentatonic hand grip
we can now give this C tonality different flavors.
Look, when playing these positions we hear the C Major scale
all the white keys, right?
By placing the hand grip here we augment the fourth step...
so this is the C Lydian scale, a very bright sound, right?
Now we play something in minor…
and when placing the hand grip here I raise the 6th step
and we play the C Dorian scale.
Or what about playing something in C Phrygian by placing the grip here…
look, we lower the second step compared to the C tonality
and we got the C Phrygian scale…
Well, all this theory talk about scales may be a little overwhelming,
but don't worry, you can actually just forget all about that.
Because my main point is that you just observe
that different positions of our hand grip makes different flavors to the Music.
So choose a position and listen…
how does this sound?
Choose another position…
how does this sound?
Experiment, observe and reflect.
Now we play something bright and Major like…
and now we play something more dark…
and now we play something totally outside and crazy…
and now we play a more friendly tonality…
So use your ears and observe
how you change the colors of your sound landscape…
Now isn't all this fantastic?
We can actually create so many flavors
just by moving around a simple pentatonic hand grip.
Ok, here comes step 7.
Now we'll make our solo more bluesy by adding a blue note.
Look, we are going to add this blue note right between the middle and the ring finger…
Now, we don't have 6 fingers
so instead we could for example move our fourth finger
down a half step and we have this bluesy grip…
this blues grip we can of course also play in different positions…
We don't have to use the blue note all the time, just occasionally…
if the blue note is a black key we can also just slide the note like this…
so, now we have a added some blues into our sound, right?
OK, here comes the final step 8.
When you are ready, and only when you are ready speed up the tempo.
So let's speed up the backing track and try out all we have learned in this lesson…
Now this goes quite fast, I know, 160 BPM actually.
Before we played only half speed; 80 BMP.
If you are a beginner then wait doing this speed.
First of all you must have patience and you must practice and practice.
Over the weeks and months you can gradually raise the speed.
But start by making it all sound good before speeding up.
It's much better to play slow and steady than fast and unsteady.
And most importantly; have fun with all this...
be creative and enjoy your Music.

and an approach to connect the right hand.
