The Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer begins, as all great trailers do, with a geography
lesson. Queen Cersei stands on a map, and says there are enemies to her east, to her
west, to her south, and to her north – there's Daenerys Targaryen with her invading army,
there's King Euron Greyjoy with his ironborn fleet, there're the Sand Snakes and Olenna
in the Reach and in Dorne, and in the north, there's King Jon Snow. We learn a lot about
each of these sides in the trailer, and bout other cool stuff besides, so let's have
a quick look at what this all means for the future of Game of Thrones.
First off, Daenerys Targaryen finally arrives at Westeros. This is a moment that Dany has
dreamed of for years , that fans have awaited for years, ever since the first book came
out back in '96. Daenerys was born here at Dragonstone, ancestral home of the Targaryen
dynasty that had ruled Westeros for three centuries – until Robert Baratheon took
over, and Dany had to flee with her brother Viserys. All her life Dany longed to return
to her home, and to her birthright the Iron Throne, and now, after six seasons and five
books and twenty long years, her time has finally arrived to conquer Westeros. This
table in Dragonstone was made by Dany's ancestor Aegon three hundred years ago – a
map with "no borders" to show that the Seven Kingdoms is truly "One realm, for
one king to rule alone" – or, in this case, one queen – there ain't room for
two on the Iron Throne. So to defeat Queen Cersei, Dany brings with her three dragons,
a Dothraki horde, an Unsullied army – fire and blood. Dany says she was "born to rule
the Seven Kingdoms", but is she even the good guy here? From another perspective, she's
a crazy dragon lady from across the sea, attacking the Kingdoms with foreign soldiers, burning
people alive with flying monsters – is she really the hero? Dany's often compared to
her father, the cruel Mad King Aerys. Will Dany be a force for peace, or will she go
down her dad's dark path? Fortunately, Dany has many supporters and advisors around her,
including Grey Worm of the Unsullied, and Missandei, who get it on in the trailer – despite
the fact that Grey Worm is a eunuch. And there's Tyrion Lannister, who has valuable political
experience in King's Landing, and who has a curious relationship with Dany's dragons
– some fans think that Tyrion might ride a dragon. Dany also has Varys, though he's
barely visible in the trailer – and other characters like Daario and Kinvara aren't
there at all, they've been left in Meereen – these last seasons of Thrones move so
fast there isn't even time to kill off the minor characters before they're cut from
the story. But someone else we do see is Melisandre, she's at Dragonstone, which is a surprise.
Last we saw Mel, she was exiled from Winterfell by Jon and Davos for that whole child murder
kerfuffle last season – seems that Mel then went to Dragonstone where Dany is. Mel has
a pretty flaky record when it comes to supporting leaders – first she says Stannis is the
saviour, then Jon – maybe now she'll support Daenerys, who other red priests say is the
hero Azor Ahai. Dany and Mel both love flame, so they should get along like a house on fire
– or a girl on f– mm. Anyway, Dany has a great squad and a huge army, and in the
trailer, she goes on the attack. We see Cersei's Lannister soldiers attacked
by Daenerys' Unsullied, in a castle that looks unfamiliar. It's got Lannister heraldry
painted on an archway though so this might be Casterly Rock, the home base of the Lannisters
which we've never seen before in the books or show. The Rock is a massive fortress built
into a mountain in the westerlands, and it's apparently never been taken before. If Casterly
Rock falls to Daenerys, that would be a huge blow to House Lannister. This spot on the
map, by the way, seems to read C A – maybe supporting the idea that this place is Casterly
Rock. So Daenerys is Cersei's eastern enemy. Her
enemies to the south are Dany's allies – the Sand Snakes of Dorne and Olenna of the Reach.
These guys don't actually appear in the trailer, which is a strong hint they might
not last long in Season 7. The first big Sand Snakes episode was the least popular episode
in Game of Thrones history, and ever since the showrunners seem to be pretending that
the Dorne storyline never happened – with only a brief couple scenes in Season 6. So
the Sand Snakes'll probably be quickly swept under the rug in Season 7 – though hopefully
Olenna Tyrell still has some fight in her. Olenna's whole family was murdered by Cersei
last season – so now Olenna has nothing to lose – she's out for revenge. Also,
we see Ellaria Sand making out with Yara Greyjoy, which is fun – though, the last person who
Ellaria kissed, Cersei's daughter Myrcella, caught a pretty bad case of death by poison,
so Yara might wanna be careful where she sticks her bits – but also, Cersei has not forgotten
the murder of Myrcella by the Sand Snakes. There are a lot of scores to settle in Season
7. Another battle in the trailer seems to take
place in the south – because Dany's Dothraki are fighting men not from House Lannister,
but from House Tarly – this bowman looks just like the Tarly heraldry. House Tarly
is led by Randyll Tarly, said to be one of the greatest military minds in Westeros . However,
it looks like Randyll makes the mistake of trying to fight the Dothraki not in a castle
but in the open field. That is, like, the one thing you should never do against mounted
Dothraki – cause these guys can run your ass down, shooting arrows from horseback , jumping
from one horse to another, duel-wielding arakhs, running literal circles around you – this–
just– you don't want that. So Randyll fucked up, and will probably die, which actually
is pretty lucky for Randyll's son Samwell. Sam, if you remember, took Randyll's favourite
toy last season, the Valyrian steel sword Heartsbane. And Randyll might not forgive
that – he's threatened to kill Sam before, and after the theft of his beloved sword,
he might finally decide to quote "hunt [Sam] down like the pig" he is . So maybe not
such a bad thing if Sam's dad dies. Meanwhile, Sam can keep studying in the Citadel of the
maesters. He and Gilly might uncover secrets in the Citadel library – in this promo image,
Gilly is reading a text about Azor Ahai, the hero prophesied to save the world. The Citadel
is home to Westeros' greatest experts on history, and astronomy, and on medicine – which
could be very important for Jorah Mormont – in the trailer we see his arm emerge from
within a wooden door, badly infected with the disease greyscale. Jorah is slowly turning
into a stony zombie, but there might be hope of a cure at the Citadel. And this raises
some really cool possibilities. Cause in the books, there's a character called Victarion
Greyjoy who gets an infected wound in his arm. He's healed in a magical ritual, and
afterwards, his arm is left bloody and blackened, charred and smoking – but apparently "stronger"
than ever . Maybe the curing of Jorah's infected arm will do something similar – give
him a red smoking superpowered arm just like Victarion, and like Hellboy, and the Ninja
Gaiden guy, and C-3PO. This might not be likely, but it would be super cool.
So that's what's going on in the south. Cersei's enemies in the west seem to refer
to the ironborn under King Euron Greyjoy – that's a Greyjoy ship we see in the trailer. Cersei
calls Euron an enemy, but an alliance between the two is possible – that might be Euron
in Cersei's throne room in the trailer. Cersei desperately needs so allies – surrounded
as she is on by enemies on all sides. And with the Iron Islands behind him, Euron could
prove a powerful friend. In the trailer we see him attack what seems to be Daenerys'
fleet – the Targaryen, Tyrell and Martell ships we saw at the end of Season 6. And this
battle could be huge – Theon Greyjoy is there, Yara and Ellaria are probably there,
and judging by all the fire, Dany's dragons might be involved. We've seen the dragons
kick ass at sea before, but ironborn are famously dangerous on water, and Euron no doubt has
some tricks up his sleeve. So this naval battle could get pretty crazy.
So Euron may be a useful ally for Cersei, but otherwise she's running pretty low on
friends – having blown up half the capital last season. As tensions rise and her enemies
close in, it'll be interesting to see if Cersei shows any remorse or regret over her
crimes – or if she'll remain defiant to the end. Speaking of which, there's a lot
of speculation over how Cersei may die. A prophecy in the books suggests that Cersei'll
be killed by her brother. Cersei thinks this means Tyrion – but some fans think Jaime
will be the one to kill his sister. So maybe Cersei's most faithful protector will prove
to be Gregor Clegane, the undead Mountain, who now looks like a medieval Darth Vader
in some new black armour. It's cool how the armour has an image of Cersei's crown
on the chest – previous Kingsguard armour has shown a Targaryen dragon, a King's crown,
or the Faith's star – this emblem puts Cersei front and centre. Cersei's been a
focus of a lot of the HBO promos lately – this season might a big one for her.
So we've seen Cersei's enemies to the east south and west – when she speaks of
her enemies to the north, we get a shot of Arya Stark travelling alone. The show has
spent two seasons training Arya as an assassin, but with Walder Frey dead, her priority now
seems to be to return home to Winterfell . Ever since Season 1, Arya has been cruelly separated
from her family, and it'll be a hugely emotional moment for her to see Sansa, and Bran and
Jon again. First, though, she might reunite with another close friend – the direwolf
Nymeria, who Arya had to leave in the riverlands back in Season 1. There are hints in the books
that while Arya has been off training, Nymeria's been busy too – growing from a cute lil
doggo into a "monstrous" man-eating she-wolf, leading a huge pack of wolves across the riverlands.
Nymeria is not just a symbol of Arya's Stark heritage – she's a symbol of how Arya's
changed from an innocent young girl to violent, ruthless killer. Hopefully she'll find some
peace this season. Also speaking of Bran, he and Meera aren't in the trailer but they're
presumably still heading down to Winterfell. Since Benjen dropped them off a fair distance
short of the Wall, Meera has a long way to drag Bran home. Which could get tricky with
the zombies chasing them, though on the upside when they arrive Meera's glutes'll be
incredible. But at Winterfell itself, we see Cersei's main northern enemies – King
Jon Snow, and Sansa Stark, with Brienne, and the lords of the north, and Davos, and Littlefinger,
lurking down in the shadows. We see him in the Winterfell crypts with Jon and Jon slams
Petyr up against a wall. Did Littlefinger just say something about Jon's mother? They
are standing next to the statue of Lyanna Stark – and while we found out last season
that Jon is Lyanna's son, Jon doesn't know that yet – but maybe Littlefinger does?
Also, Jon attacking Petyr mirrors a scene in Season 1 when Ned did the same thing. Starks
are touchy. Littlefinger is also whispering in the ear of Sansa, who he seems to trying
to turn against Jon. On the one hand, Petyr has a point – Sansa is the oldest trueborn
child of Ned Stark – apart from Bran who everyone thinks is dead – so by rights it's
Sansa, not Jon, who should rule the north. On the other hand, Petyr is a sociopathic
scheming creep who sold Sansa to the Boltons, killed Sansa's aunt Lysa, betrayed Sansa's
father Ned, and partly caused the War of the Five Kings in the first place, so it's about
goddamn time that someone killed this guy already. Davos, meanwhile, plays the voice
of reason, reminding everyone that all this petty politics is pointless in the face of
the coming war with the white walkers. It's kinda funny how the Starks have so suddenly
come to trust this random southerner Davos, but it's a good thing they do, cause he's
one of the only people talking sense in this series. The HBO promos this year make it clear
that the walkers and the wights are the big threat to Westeros. And in the trailer, it
looks like Jon leads a push against the walkers – a group of people run out beyond the Wall,
including Jon, and Tormund, and possibly Gendry – see how one of the blokes has a warhammer?
Gendry is the bastard son of Robert Baratheon, who famously used a warhammer in his Rebellion.
Fans have been saying for years how cool it would be if Gendry took up a hammer and emulated
his father in battle. With all the rowing he's been doing, he'd probably be more
than strong enough – a shame the weather's so cold though – he'll probably haveta
keep his shirt on. Also, we know the Hound has joined Beric and Thoros heading north
– maybe those guys are in this group too. Brienne might be there, and Benjen's out
here somewhere too – so this might just be the greatest all-star team we've ever
seen in Thrones, some of the best warriors in all Westeros fighting together – they'll
need to be at their best to face the walkers, and the wights, and the Long Night to come.
So there is a huge amount of stuff happening in Game of Thrones Season 7 – and there's
only seven episodes to fit it all in. Time is running out to wage wars, settle scores,
expose secrets, achieve ambitions, unite with family, bring about justice, to fight to survive
and to fulfil destiny. We're well beyond the books now, so no one knows how this'll
end – and every moment might just be a character's final scene. Make sure to subscribe to Alt

The Setbacks of Olympic Great Gail Devers | Strangest Moments - Duration: 4:54.
The pressure of the Olympic Games can do funny things to people.
Athletes who have dominated their event for years
can find themselves being blinded by the bright lights
of the biggest stage in sport.
Being an Olympic champion isn't just about being a gifted athlete
and a great competitor, it's about holding your nerve.
There are eight women lined up in Barcelona
for the start of 1992's 100 metres hurdles final.
But one of them was attracting a lot more attention
than the others.
Although the reigning Olympic champion
and world record holder
Yordanka Donkova of Bulgaria
was through to the final,
the world was developing an obsession
with the young American named Gail Devers.
It was a fascination
that would last a decade
and feature as many desperate lows as dizzying highs.
In 1992, the 25-year-old from Seattle
was a specialist hurdler,
but had dazzled the Spanish crowds on the first Saturday
of the track-and-field programme.
She raced to gold in the 100 metres, upsetting the form book
to win one of the closest finals
in Olympic Games history.
But for Devers, an Olympic Games 100 metre final
was a just a warm-up for the main event.
In the hurdles, her closest rival,
Russia's Lyudmila Narozhilenko,
pulled a hamstring before the semifinal.
It was looking good for Devers, she cruised through to the final.
But the path to Olympic gold is never easy
and, in the case of the hurdles,
there are quite literally
a great many obstacles to overcome.
It's a good start.
But look at Devers.
Devers is pulling away now with that great finish.
Devers is moving fast.
Devers has hit the hurdle! She's down!
Patoulidou, it looks like, took the gold medal.
But it's got to be heartbreaking for Gail Devers,
and she doesn't get her Olympic double.
Until that fateful final hurdle, Devers had run the perfect race.
Statisticians later told her
that she was on course to smash the world record.
The Greek champion Voula Patoulidou
began her celebrations,
but the world wanted to know
what had happened to Devers.
The greatest hurdler in the world
was left diving over the line in despair
at what should have been her finest moment.
Devers said later that it just wasn't meant to be.
Sadly for Devers,
her Olympic hurdles heartbreak had only just begun.
Four years later in Atlanta,
Devers was attracting attention as usual,
and not just because of the talons on the end of her fingers.
Again, she was favourite for the 100 metre hurdles.
She had won the World Championships in '93 and '95
and was in excellent form.
Again, she won gold in the 100 metres sprint
in the closest ever final - a real nail-biter.
And another gold in the relay.
In her favourite event,
the stage was set for Devers to banish the ghosts of 1992.
She made it to the final without any problems.
Unlike 1992, there was no great drama this time.
Devers simply wasn't fast enough.
She got over all the hurdles but managed only fourth
behind a European top three.
It wasn't her day.
When you're jinxed, you're jinxed.
Fast-forward four years to the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
Devers was 33 in 2000,
but was the fastest woman that year
and won the world championships yet again in 1999.
But in the semifinals, she couldn't get to the end of the course.
And Devers running easily here in this semifinal.
And she's just pulled up! Devers has pulled up!
Has that Olympic hurdle curse struck again?
Gail Devers ended her career
in the United States Olympic Games Hall Of Fame with three gold medals.
But she was left empty-handed in her favourite event,
leaving the rest of us scratching our heads
trying to work out whether one of the strangest Olympic Games careers
was a huge success or a bitter disappointment.

WHAT'S IN MY BAG: Ehlers-Danlos #ThisIsMyEDS [CC] - Duration: 7:53.
Hello, hello!
I've been wanting to do this for a long time, uh, it's the What's In My Bag tag..
I believe it's a tag.
Um, and although I was trying to keep the majority of my videos EDS related for EDS
Awareness Month, I decided a lot of the stuff that I carry with me IS EDS related.
So.. let's get started.
Okay so currently I'm using this simple black bag, it's not glamorous but it does
the job.
Um, and a big reason why I use it, why I chose it, is because it has these little hooks on
the ends and what I do is I wrap a little velcro strap to these hooks, that way I can
hang it on my wheelchair and I really like that.
In the big pocket I have my iPod and my really old, giant-- they're not that big, uh, headphones.
I don't keep any music on my phone really, all my music is on my old iPod 3rd generation.
The other thing I have in the big pocket is actually two wireless battery chargers, they
just got a lot of juice so I can recharge my phone.
I used it a lot while I'm out so these are really necessary.
In my middle pocket we got chapstick, lipstick, um, I've been ask about it before; my lipstick,
the one that I'm wearing right now and I always carry with me is from Miss A at shopmissa.com.
Doesn't really have a name on it but looks like this and says the number 11, so if that
helps…
My pill case!
Yay!
Um, in my pill um, case I just carry around my sister's emergency medication for her
anxiety disorder, um, and I also carry for myself, Excedrin.
Um, you're not supposed to -- well, I'm not supposed to take them on a daily basis
but when my migraines get too high or I'm like passing out from my sleep disorder or
fatigue, whichever it is, I take an Excedrin, the caffeine in it really helps my migraines,
really helps my fatigue levels.
Again, I can't take it all the time but I carry it around with me just in case.
My wallet!
Inside my wallet I have my rainbow debit card, ha, my uh, Disney ID, my movie card, um, my
driver's license, two dollars in cash, and all my insurance cards.
I have my eye doctor insurance card, my car insurance card, and my health insurance card;
I keep them all with me all the time just in case anything ever happens.
And now the front pocket, in the front pocket I have a small pack of my business cards and
my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome emergency alert card.
Um, this is multi-use, I use it sometimes when I go to see a new doctor and they usually
don't know what Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is so I hand them is-- I hand them this for some
quick reading.
This is also useful in case, God forbid, I'm out and I faint or I lose consciousness for
whatever reason, or there's some kind of violent emergency, again God forbid, um, this
has a lot of notes on how to handle my body uh, if I need to get sewn up, how to sew me
up because staples..
NOT good for people with EDS uh, you have to sew me back up in a very specific way,
uh, so… that's in the front pocket of my purse so everybody knows.
So that was just the first half uh, cuz that's just my small bag but my wheelchair has a
bag attached to the back and here's the stuff that I have in there.
So first thing I have in there is my cup holder, so I attach this to the arm of my wheelchair
and that way I don't have to carry drinks in between my knees when I go out.
As many of you know, I have a lot of struggles with my wrists and my fingers, um, and how
lax they can become and how painful they can become, so this is another attachment for
the arm of my wheelchair, um, where I just pop my phone in here and it holds it for me
so I don't have to hold and possibly cramp my hand holding it, and I just touch it there.
Oh! And obviously my phone is in my purse usually but right now it's charging.
Okay so though I wish I could carry all my braces and everything with me everywhere I
go, uh, that's not really possible, so I just carry a limited amount of supplies for
emergencies.
In case I hurt my-- one of my knees or my ankles, I have this bandage wrap, usually
the compression, if I tie it tight enough will help with pain and just kind of hold
it together, as well as this sports tape, again just a couple of pieces, I carry around
with me, uh, bandage wrap, sports tape, and I also carry around this lumbar and belly
belt, um, and these white parts, they will heat up on my lower abdomen and on my lower
back, um, in case I'm feeling pain in those areas.
And I don't carry this around with me all the time, this is more for home but until
I get one of those cool little wrist bands that can read my heart beat per minute all
the time, I have this thing, and it measures my oxygen intake and my heart beat per minute.
Oh! And one final thing!
I don't know how I nearly forgot it; is my foldable cane.
Um..
This I can keep either in the back of my wheelchair or in my purse because it's small enough,
um, and then just gotta be a little..
[CANE CLICKS INTO PLACE]
It becomes a cane, which before what I was doing-- before I had a foldable cane -- this
is a luxury!
Before I had a foldable cane I had just you know, my stiff full-length cane and I didn't
have anywhere to put it in the back, cuz I would try to hang it off my chair, it would
fall off, uh, I would hold it between my knees but that was not very comfortable.
Having a foldable cane allows me to put it away discreetly and then take it out whenever
I need it, so that's great.
It's also broken but I'll figure out a new foldable cane eventually, maybe an ergonomic one.
Alright and that's it for What's In My Bag...
[LAP SLAP]
EDS Style, the majority of it WAS related to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome!
Fun times.
Ugh, so let me know in the comments, was there anything in there that you found really curious?
Or you could probably relate, maybe you're a Spoonie too?
Um, and let me know what kind of curious things you have in your bag, and I will see you eventually,
bye!

THE POWER OF QUOTING INCOMPLETE - Duration: 7:59.
Welcome to this second video here in a row, a little chat with Lorenz Gadient. If you have missed the first one, I will link it here and will give a little background information.
We have been talking about questions and issues concerning the double beat theory. And the first video was rather in depth about Mersenne.
And now for the second part I would like to ask you Lorenz, we all know the book of Klaus Miehling, who wrote a book, with the title
"Das Tempo in der Musik im Barock und in der Vorklassik"
Mr Miehling does research on the things you do
Also for Mr Miehling Mersenne is an important source, so on this you are on the same line.
But still you come to the opposite conclusion, and that interests me to know, why that is and what we can learn from this. So can you please explain this?
Actually I became aware of Mersenne by Mr Miehling
I read a certain passage and then decided to go back to the original source. I wanted to find out, what else Mersenne had written in this context.
Because Mr Miehling only quoted a part of this passage. Well, this is not unusual. Of course, he has the right to quote only a part of a passage.
However, I was interested in the context of this quotation, so I looked at Mersenne's text and what I discovered became an eye opener.
The first part of the definition is the statement that the duration of an ordinary tact beat is equivalent to one heart beat.
The heart beat consists of two beats - the systole and the dyastole - up and down. Mersenne equivalents the systole and dyastole, with the up and down of the tact beat and defines this as "one second".
This is a statement which is consistent in itself. This is a single beat definition. Yes - you can hear the "tick-tack-tick-tack". And the whole unit is called "one second". One tact beat, one second. Everything clear.
And this is exactly the impression you get when reading the quotation in Mr Miehling's book.
However, if you read the passage in the original text you can see that the quotation is taken from the context, where Mersenne speaks about the seconds pendulum in order to illustrate the whole issue.
Now if you consider the whole passage within this context, which Mr Miehling obmits, although it is crucial, a problem arises.
Suddenly you notice that it is not as it seemed in the beginning, namely that the duration of a tact is one second, since Mersenne equivalents the up and down of the tact beat with the back and forth swing of the pendulum.
And this pendulum is adjusted to one second.
Thus, the duration of the tact is half as fast.
And this does not become visible in the way Mr Miehling quotes.
And this quote of Mersenne is one passage or several passages? It is one passage. Exactly this passage - and Mr Miehling is cutting this whole lot out.
Of course it is legitimate to quote only a part of a text. But here it is so clear that this is the most important part of the whole passage.
It is the most important part for understanding - here Mersenne equivalents the seconds pendulum with the written tact beat.
That is interesting and now I understand your point. If you only have the first part you come to a different conclusion. But when you also have the second part, one comes to a different solution.
Moreover, a scientific problem arises: Either the author (Mersenne) made a mistake or the whole passage is meant to be like this. And I wanted to find out.
This was the challenge - I did not want to assume that the author made a mistake but was ready to question my own narrow terminology.
We have known each other for years now and I know that you have had an extensive correspondence with Klaus Miehling.
It is actually quite funny, you both have had a very intense mail conversation for more than 20 years and you never met each other? Yes!
So, you must have told him about this matter? Yes of course. And what is his response?
He told me that it is unthinkable, "a priori unthinkable" that there are two different definitions for "second".
A second is a second and a minute is a minute. That is the end of the matter. Full stop.
However, in the meantime I have discovered more than 10 authors who define the duration of a second with the help of the seconds pendulum.
They all define one second as the back and forth swing of the seconds pendulum.
We are going to cover this in future chats.
And Miehling was forced to say that these findings were mistakes. He assumed that either I mistranslated and misinterpreted the texts or the authors were wrong.
I now understand your concern and I understand now that leaving out the second part of Mersenne leads to a completely different understanding of this very important source.
However, you both agree that this passage of Mersenne is very important.
So in future videos, in future chats with Lorenz we are going to cover other sources which say exactly the same thing as Mersenne.
Even before going to the Viennese period with the metronome indications maybe we will jump a little bit back and forth in time,
because I can understand that the metronome indications are giving the most energy for most musicians
since that reflects of course the tempo of Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn and all the music we play a lot.
But remember these French notations are on the same line as the metronome numbers. There is not so much difference in speed.
We will also cover Quantz, so there is a lot to come, so stay tuned.
And we will see each other soon. If this is your first time on "Authentic Sound" we would love to have you subscribed.
There is a little bell icon next to the subscription button, if you hit that you stay notified not only for these videos but also for live streams we have. Bye!

Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer Explained - Duration: 15:16.

ALERT Now We Know The 1 Powerful Order Trump Gave Staff Before Landing In Saudi Arabia
Trump is on his first world tour as our president.
Liberals quivered in fear as he made his first stop.
However, we patriots knew President Trump was going to do the right thing!
Before Trump's plane landed, the president gave one strict order to everyone on board.
My Right America featured a tweet by Steve Cortes, a Fox News reporter, that explained
this one order.
Trump said: "I catch ONE American bowing here, and you're on the next Saudi flight
home!"
FLAWLESS.
Trump said: "I catch ONE American bowing here, and you're on the next Saudi flight
home!"
FLAWLESS.
Watching President Trump come down from Air Force One was quite the sight to see.
Instead of bowing, as Obama did in 2009, Trump introduced himself to the Saudi Arabian King
with a powerful handshake.
(via The Daily Mail).
We were SO happy to see Trump greet the King in the proper AMERICAN way.
We should NEVER bow to world leaders.
Back when Obama did it, there was some controversy from the Right.
But instead of marching and burning down buildings the Right said, "Hey he shouldn't be doing
that.
It makes us look bad and is against the OFFICIAL State Department policy."
That previous statement is what we would like to call a "factual argument" — liberals
should try it sometime.
The Left either denied the bow happened or said it was a simple misunderstanding.
Weird, because it should be one or the other.
Plus you cannot reasonably DENY the bow.
There is video evidence and pictures of former president Obama bowing down to the then-king.
It's as absurd as trying to deny that the sun rose from the East yesterday morning!
It should also be noted that Melania did not wear a headscarf on the Saudi Arabia visit
either.
The president and first lady were there for business, not to kowtow to the world leader.
Obama did an excellent job at kissing up to ANYONE who could cause him controversy.
He would give OUR money openly to other countries — his bows were both physical and metaphorical.
You would have to admit that it is sickening, in the scheme of the world stage, to think
that when BIG discussions were happening Obama was sitting in the back seat with his arms
crossed so that he didn't "bother" anyone.
How did we ever survive eight years of an Obama presidency?
The best part of Trump's recent trip is the way the Left was SO sure that the Saudi
people would not be welcoming to the president.
Imagine their surprise when Trump arrived to find a red carpet and a country overflowing
with excitement to meet him.
Liberals have to be furious about being wrong so many times.
We'll never get tired of WINNING this big.
If the Left would quit being disrespectful roadblocks, they might find that there is
some common ground between them and our president.
Instead, they are choosing to stand in our president's way at every turn.
It's mind-boggling.
The Dems are going to discover that when you use that attitude with Trump, you are not
going to be pleased.
He is NOT Obama, and he will NOT be pushed around by ANYONE!
This trip to Saudi Arabia is concrete proof of that, and we couldn't be more proud.
Do YOU think that Trump did the right thing by shaking his hand instead of bowing?

LOOK Everyone Is Talking About Melania's Outfit In Sicily Today [PHOTOS]
It is the final day of Donald and Melania Trump's first official tour as President
and First Lady, and it looks like 47-year-old Melania is eager to go out with a sartorial
bang.
Having made a chic arrival in Sicily, where her husband is attending a G7 summit, on Thursday
evening wearing her third outfit of the day, Melania stepped out on Friday morning in the
coastal down of Catania, making a very stylish statement in a floral coat by Dolce & Gabanna,
which was covered with colorful 3-D flower embellishments – and came complete with
a matching purse by the Italian luxury label.
Ensuring that all eyes would be on the classy jacket, Melania opted to pair the quirky piece
with a simple beige dress and heels by the same designer, adding a pair of sunglasses
to protect her eyes against the bright sunshine.
Her brunette hair, meanwhile, was left loose around her shoulders.
While plenty of designers have refused to dress the First Lady over her husband's
politics, Dolce & Gabbana has repeatedly supported Melania, who wore a blazer from the Italian
label for her official White House portrait.
Stefano Gabbana, one half of the famed duo behind Dolce & Gabbana, took to his personal
Instagram on Friday morning to proudly share photos of Melania wearing the brand's exquisite
floral coat.
'US First Lady Melania Trump arrives for a visit at the Chierici Palace City Hall of
Catania on the sidelines of a G7 summit of the Heads of State and of Government in Taormina
[heart emoji] THANK YOU @flotus #melaniatrump,' he wrote.
The images see Melania beaming at the waiting cameras as she made her way out of an SUV
upon arrival at the Chierici Palace – where she and her fellow G7 spouses were set to
enjoy a tour.
Melania couldn't have looked happier as she made her way to join the rest of her group,
despite a lengthy few days that have seen her completing several official engagements,
while her husband President Trump has met with several world leaders.
Trump and Melania are staying at the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina Italy, and on
Thursday morning, she flew via helicopter to Catania.
Melania took to Twitter during her flight to share a photo of the stunning view below,
writing: 'On my way to a lunch & mtgs as part of #G7.
Taormina [to] Catania #Italy.'

ALERT Trey Gowdy Is UNDER ATTACK.
Will You Support Him
Democrats are bringing out the big guns, firing feckless lawsuits against Republicans in the
hopes that something will stick.
Brad Podliska, a Major in the Air Force Reserve and former investigator on the Benghazi committee,
is suing committee chair Trey Gowdy for wrongful termination and discrimination.
According to the the suit, Podliska was fired because of his military service and for his
refusal to investigate Hillary Clinton.
He further alleges that Gowdy inappropriately defamed him publicly after the termination.
The Benghazi committee has denied the accusations and maintains that Podliska was terminated
for the mishandling of classified information.
Speaking on NBC News, Trey Gowdy dismissed the allegations, claiming that Podliska was
lying.
The committee's top investigator is a three-star general, which undermines any claims of discrimination.
However, Podliska's claim that this was military discrimination is crucial to the
case being heard.
Podliska is relying on The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act to
claim standing for the case.
Normally, House staffers are prevented from suing their employer to protect classified
information.
Claiming military discrimination is Podliska's only avenue to court.
A lengthy court battle is the ultimate goal of the lawsuit.
Podliska and his liberal lawyers have requested a jury trial and are hoping a prolonged legal
battle would detract attention from Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton is, of course, central to the lawsuit, and possibly behind the spurious
court case.
Podliska claims that he was mistreated because he was not willing to advance a line of investigation
implicating Hillary Clinton, who was Secretary of State during the Benghazi assault.
The entire lawsuit stinks to high heaven of a distraction campaign orchestrated by the
Democrats.
Podliska could not prevent the Benghazi committee from investigating Clinton from the inside,
so he is hoping to derail the committee from the outside.
He is also demanding his former job back.
The lawsuit seems to have gone out of its way to target Trey Gowdy, who is a rising
star in the Republican Party.
The entire purpose of the lawsuit is to defame Trey Gowdy while insinuating that the Benghazi
investigation is an unfair witch hunt designed to attack Hillary Clinton.
We will not be fooled.
Do you think this is just a frivolous lawsuit?

How to Invest as a Vegan - Duration: 15:13.
Hey there modern vegans and vegan curious.
It's Margaret, and welcome back to ModVegan.
If you're new to the channel, please be sure and
take a moment to like this video if you enjoy it,
and subscribe so you don't miss another great video like this one.
Today I want to talk with you about vegan investing.
And that may seem like a slightly unconventional topic
for a channel that focuses on veganism and modern living,
but I actually think it's very pertinent.
And it's something that a lot of you are very interested in,
'cause I've had many questions on this topic and I'm so excited to be finally making this
video, because I love everything there is about investing.
And that may seem a bit odd, because it is not usually something that people who are
interested in activism and things like that seem to be interested in.
But I actually think the two things go together very well.
And I will explain to you why.
So even though I love investing, and I love finance, I am not that interested in spending
money.
I never really have been.
I'm not a big spender, it actually makes me extremely uncomfortable, and it always has,
so maybe that is why I am interested in finance naturally.
But I first became interested in investing when I was probably about seven years old.
I remember my grandfather was very into investing and I used to sit with him and watch the stock
market when I was visiting their house, and at home I always begged my parents - who thought
it was pretty funny - to sit and watch the Nightly Business Report on PBS, because that
was the only television that we ever got.
I wanted to see the Nightly Business Report, and it was like a religion for me.
From the time I was about 7 years old, I always wanted to hear what was happening, how the
oranges were growing in Florida, what the price of orange juice was, how much gold was,
all those thing.
I just was really interested in it.
I loved numbers and it was my passion from the time I was old enough to remember.
I still remember when I was about - yeah, probably 8 or 9 years old - I brought a book
- my parents had actually bought a book on budgeting, and I found it in the house, and
I was over the moon excited.
Went and got it, started to try and figure out how to make a budget for my family, and
I remember asking my mother how much garbage service was, and she looked at me kind of
like "What?"
And I explained to her that I actually needed to know how much our garbage service was,
because I was making a budget.
And she told me, budgets were for people who had money.
And I remember being kind of confused, because I had not heard that.
And it didn't seem to make sense to me.
"Cause I figured if you don't have money, it's even more important to have a budget.
So that was something that we kind of clashed on, and I do remember she kind of was not
interested in giving me any more financial details, and so we kind of moved on from there,
and I just started creating budgets for my spending money (which I never really spent,
I saved most of it).
I also created budgets for an imaginary future self, who would have money and start saving
for financial independence.
And so, that was something that I was always interested in.
And here's why I think it's really important for you if you're a vegan, and especially
if you have any aspirations to do activism of any kind in your life: and that, once you
can make yourself financially more secure, you have more freedom.
If you have the money to support yourself no matter what, then you can feel comfortable
doing things like activism, because you know, say, even if you were to lose your 9 to 5
job, or maybe if you were to give up your 9 to 5 job, you'd still be able to have a
living, you'd still be able to support yourself.
And when I talk about having a living or retirement, or financial independence, I'm not talking
about being independently wealthy in the traditional sense.
I'm not talking about having millions in a bank account in the Cayman Islands somewhere
or something like that.
No, I'm talking about what it would take for you to live a frugal life, for the rest of
your life, without needing to work.
And I also realize that this is much more difficult in the United States, I would say
living in Canada, even though our dollar is worth less, it's a lot easier to support yourself
on 15 or 20 thousand dollars a year than it is in the US, simply because we have health
care.
So I do want to take that into account, if you are living in the US, and you're listening
to me and you're thinking, "oh my goodness, I could never support myself on that", that
is something to take into account, and obviously you would need extra savings to cover health
care.
I'm probably going to save the nitty gritty of financial independence for another video,
but today what I want to talk about is what you should invest your money in.
Now, it used to be if you were lucky and you had a job working for the government, you
probably had that government job pretty secure for life as long as you didn't mess up too
badly.
I know that my dad had a pension that he contributed to, and he was super lucky, because back in
the day, if you just contributed to a pension, you'd be able to retire one day, and it was
a pretty decent plan.
If you worked for 25 years, you would probably would have
saved enough to retire, and that was an amazing benefit that many people used to have, even
if they didn't work for the government.
But today, unless you're super lucky and you have a government job that has a pension,
that's probably not the reality for you.
If you think that investing in stocks is only for wealthy people, that's kind of a misconception.
I know that it used to be that way, like I said, when people had pensions and things
like that, they thought of investing in stocks as something for wealthy people.
But if you didn't have a pension, you still had to invest your money in something.
And it used to be in the old days you could invest in things like Treasury bills and things
if you were in the United States, but that is less possible now, because the return on
those is so low now - it's hovering around zero percent - that you really can't save
and invest in those kind of financial instruments and have enough money to be able to retire.
That means you need to get comfortable with stocks.
And if you're a vegan, or someone who believes in being socially responsible, that can be
a really tough subject.
The fact of the matter is, that stocks are a really uncomfortable things for most of
us.
Many of us are very uncomfortable with what large corporations do with their money.
And so that leaves you with a few different options.
One thing that I routinely recommend to people is to invest in an index fund.
You can usually find index funds and ETFs in particular, that cover the entire US stock
market, the world stock market.
If you live in the US or Canada, Vanguard has some great low-fee ETFs that are great
for you, even if you're just starting out in investing.
And that's what I would recommend.
But for some people, they don't even want to invest in the broad US market, because
they know that their money is going to be going to companies that they don't really
support.
They will become owners of companies like, for example, Monsanto.
And perhaps they are not comfortable owning part of Monsanto.
For those people, you have a few different options.
You can invest in socially responsible index funds, but that's kind of problematic as well,
because there really is no vegan socially responsible fund.
For one thing, there aren't really any vegan companies that are on the stock exchange.
There's a couple that are somewhat vegan, there actually is one company that I know
of that is on the US stock exchange, that would be Tofutti, and that company is actually
on the stock exchange, but it's not a great stock.
It's a very low cap stock, they don't have a huge market capitalization.
They're a tiny company, and so their stock is kind of overpriced, and I don't feel that
it's a great investment.
You may disagree with me and you might want to buy it on the speculation that perhaps
that company is going to be bought out by a larger company that is not vegan.
So there's that possibility.
There's a couple of other companies as well.
There's Hain natural foods, but of course, Hain is also a large company, they have plenty
of non-vegan things that they sell.
Even though they own companies like Yves Veggie Cuisine, and I think Linda McCartney's vegetarian
meals - they tend more towards kind of the vegetarian health spectrum.
And they definitely don't have exclusively vegan products.
So there are plenty of sections of Hain natural foods that are based on animal products, so
that might not be a great choice for you if you're looking for a vegan company.
The same also goes for WhiteWave Foods.
I think they own Silk soy milk and some other things.
Again, it's more of a plant-based company, and they do invest in a lot of vegan type
companies, but they are connected with a larger multinational that is not vegan, so again,
that's a bit of a grey area.
Now you might want to invest in companies like that because you believe in what they're
doing.
And I think that's a really great idea.
Even if you only own a single share of a company, you can still vote in their annual meetings.
As soon as you guy a share of a publicly traded company, you'll be receiving shareholder materials
that will show you how to vote in company meetings and things like that, you can vote
by proxy.
I know that for, example, PETA does this.
PETA buys shares and - usually small portions of shares, but that's one of the things that
they do with their money, is they buy stock in companies that are completely the opposite.
So this is where you might want to get more involved in shareholder activism.
If you want to buy shares in companies like Prada and things like that, just like PETA
does, they buy shares in those companies and then they introduce shareholder initiatives,
where they try to make changes within the company based on the shares that they have.
They'll say, we as shareholders of Prada, are requesting that Prada stop selling handbags
made from exotic leathers.
So that's the kind of thing you can do once you're a shareholder.
And especially if you're like PETA and you have more people to help you do that sort
of thing it becomes a lot easier to actually gain momentum and be able to introduce a motion
like that within your shareholder meeting.
But those are examples of things that you can do as a shareholder in non-vegan companies.
Now, if you're not confident with these options, I still would recommend an index fund.
Yes, you're invested in companies that aren't vegan, but you're kind of invested broadly
in the market and you don't need to feel so personally responsible for every single company
within, say, the S&P 500.
But if you do want to take that extra step and pick the stocks yourself, based on the
responsibility of the companies, always be sure and check what the standard is of that
company - whether they are considered to have exemplary stewardship and things like that.
That has more to do with how responsible they are to you as a shareholder, but that is a
big clue as to how responsible they're going to be socially, too.
So, if a company is very responsible in terms of its stewardship, in terms of managing its
money, in terms of being transparent with its shareholders, that's a really good sign.
That's something to look for.
And of course, look at the company.
Look at what they're doing.
I would really recommend before you just sign your money over to say, a socially responsible
investing fund, go to the companies themselves, and look at these companies with the eye towards
being a shareholder, look at a company like Apple, and say, you know, are they putting
their money where their mouth is?
Are they actually looking at environmental sustainability?
Are they actually spending of their own money on this?
Do they have recycling programs?
Things like that.
Because, it varies between companies.
There are some companies that are surprisingly good.
You might want to look at some of the things that they have, some of the initiatives that
they are using to try and recover things, recover materials to be more sustainable.
It's really good to take a look at those things, and you're going to find there's probably
not a single company on earth that really does those things to the detriment of their
bottom line, but there's also companies that are more aware of the fact that if they are
environmentally friendly, then they are going to reap more rewards in the long term.
You see that with companies like Tesla, for example.
That tend to be more emphasizing environmental stewardship because of their mandate as a
company and what they're trying to do.
So those are companies to also take a look at.
I am not, recommending, however, Tesla as a stock, because I think it's overpriced,
so that's just something I had to add in here.
I don't want any of you to buy any shares in these companies thinking that I'm recommending
them, because I'm not.
I just think it's good to take a look at their policies, and really examine them for yourself.
And see if you really feel that they're doing something responsible with their money.
Those are some things to look out for.
Ultimately, I strongly suggest that you become interested in investing your money and saving
your money.
It really does give you a lot of financial freedom.
Spending a whole bunch of money, even if you make a whole bunch of money, is not necessarily
the best way to live.
For one thing, you're kind of condemning yourself to working forever, for maybe a company that
is not doing what you ideally would be able to like to do.
On the other hand, if you save your money, you're going to have more freedom long-term
to pursue your goals.
And I realize that investing in some of these companies is not ideal, but what you can do
is research them, pay attention to what they're doing with your money as a shareholder, really
hold them accountable, don't hold onto stocks that you don't believe in.
If you feel like a company is not behaving well with your money, it's not being environmentally
responsible or socially responsible - chances are they're not being fiscally responsible,
either.
I think the best companies to invest in long-term really are ones that are being responsible
with your money, and that's a really good yardstick to use to measure a stock before
you buy it.
Finally, for most of you, the only recommendation that I would make is that you invest in a
broad index fund, total market - I really do believe that is the better thing to do.
You want to be invested in things like that because they really do spread your risk.
And long term we know that if things continue as they are, you're likely to do better in
the long-term with an investment like that.
And if the entire world falls to pieces, chances are, no matter what you put your money in,
it's not going to last very long anyway.
So, if the apocalypse happens and your money is invested in the S&P 500, maybe you'll lose
it, but then again, anything you had your money in, you probably would have lost it,
too.
If you prepare for the worst, barring armageddon, and just invest in a broad index fund, even
if the market tanks completely, like it did in 2007-2008, you're still going to be okay.
I hope this was helpful.
I would love to know if you guys find this interesting, because I do like talking about
this stuff.
And I have other things that I could talk about a bit in terms of financial independence,
if that's interesting to you guys.
I'd love to know what your perspective is on investing.
If some of you guys do buy stocks, if you feel comfortable investing in particular companies.
Do you prefer investing in the broader market?
I'm just curious about that.
And you know, if you think it's completely heathen and immoral to invest in any corporation
whatsoever, I'd love to hear about that too.
I hope you all have a beautiful day,
and thank you so much for joining me here on ModVegan.
