Youtube daily report Sep 24 2017

Based on Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy

Adapted by Chloe

In cooperation with Katsku Utakata

I stare with frustration at myself in the mirror. Damn my hair—it just won't behave. I try to brush it and sigh loudly. Damn Naruto Uzumaki for subjecting me to this ordeal

I should be studying for my final exams, which are next week, yet here I am trying to brush my hair into submission. I attempt, once more, to bring it under control with the brush. I roll my eyes in exasperation squeezing the brush

I gaze at the pale, blonde-haired boy with blue eyes staring back at me, and give up. My only option is to restrain my wayward hair in a ponytail and hope that I look semi-presentable.

Naru is my brother, and he has chosen today of all days to succumb to the flu. Therefore, he cannot attend the interview he'd arranged to do, with some mega-industrialist tycoon I've never heard of, for the student newspaper. So I have been volunteered.

I have final exams to cram for and one essay to finish, and I'm supposed to be working this afternoon, but no—today I have to drive 165 miles to downtown Seattle in order to meet the enigmatic CEO of Uchiha Enterprises Holdings, Inc.

As an exceptional entrepreneur and major benefactor of our university, his time is extraordinarily precious but he has granted Naru an interview. Damn his extracurricular activities.

Naru is huddled on the couch in the living room. "Dei, I'm sorry. It took me six months to get this interview. It will take another six to reschedule, and we'll both have graduated by then. As the editor, I can't blow this off. Please, ttebayo" Naru begs me in his rasping, sore throat voice.

How does he do it? Even ill he looks cute and handsome, with his messy blond hair and blue eyes just like mine, although now red rimmed and runny.

He has a cinnamon-coloured skin and three birth marks in both cheeks making him look like a fox

"Of course I'll go, Naru. You should get back to bed. Would you like some NyQuil or Tylenol?"

"NyQuil, please. Here are the questions and my digital recorder. Just press record here. Make notes, I'll transcribe it all ttebayo"

"I know nothing about him," I murmur, trying and failing to suppress my rising panic.

"The questions will see you through. Go. It's a long drive ttebayo."

"Okay, I'm going. Get back to bed. I made you some ramen to heat up later." I stare at him fondly. Only for you, Naru, would I do this.

"I will. Good luck. And thanks, Dei. As usual, you're my lifesaver ttebayo."

Gathering my backpack, I smile wryly at him, then head out the door to the car. I cannot believe I have let Naru talk me into this. But then Naru can talk anyone into anything. He'll make an exceptional journalist. He's articulate, strong, persuasive, argumentative, handsome. And he's my brother.

The rodes are clear as I set off from Vancouver, Washington, toward Interstate 5. It's early, and I don't have to be in Seattle until two this afternoon. Fortunately, Naru has lent me his sporty Mercedes CLK. I'm not sure Katsu, my old VW Beetle, would make the journey in time.

Oh, the Merc is a fun drive, and the miles slip away as I hit the pedal to the metal.

My destination is the headquarters of Mr. Uchiha's global enterprise. It's a huge twenty-story office building, all curved glass and steel with UCHIHA HOUSE written discreetly in steel over the glass front doors.

It's a quarter to two when I arrive, greatly relieved that I'm not late as I walk into the enormous—and frankly intimidating—glass, steel, and white sandstone lobby.

Behind the solid sandstone desk, a very attractive, groomed, young woman smiles pleasantly at me.

"I'm here to see Mr. Uchiha. Deidara Namikaze for Naruto Uzumaki." I decide to use my father's last name for it not to sound weird.

"Excuse me one moment, Mr. Namikaze." She arches her eyebrow.

I wait patiently for her. I'm beginning to wish I'd borrowed one of Naru's formal suits rather than my leather jacket, my jeans, my comfortable boots and my squared t-shirt. For me, this is smart.

"Mr. Uzumaki is expected. Please sign in here, Mr Namikaze. You'll want the last elevator on the right, press for the twentieth floor." She smiles kindly at me, as I sign in.

She hands me a security pass that has VISITOR very firmly stamped on the front. I can't help my smirk. Surely it's obvious that I'm just visiting. Thanking her, I walk over to the bank of elevators.

The elevator whisks me at terminal velocity to the twentieth floor. The doors slide open, and I'm in another large lobby. I'm confronted by another desk of sandstone and another young woman, who rises to greet me.

"Mr. Namikaze, could you wait here, please?" She points to a seated area of white leather chairs.

I sit down, fish the questions from my backpack, and go through them, inwardly cursing Naru for not providing me with a brief biography. I know nothing about this man I'm about to interview. The uncertainty is galling, and my nerves resurface, making me fidget.

I sigh loudly. Get a grip, Namikaze. I guess Uchiha is in his forties: fit, tanned, and fair-haired to match the rest of the personnel.

Another elegant, flawlessly dressed girl comes out of a large door to the right. I breath heavily.

"Mr. Namikaze?"

"Yes," I croak, and clear my throat. "Yes." There, that sounded more confident.

The office door opens and a tall, elegantly dressed, attractive exits. He turns and faces the door.

"Tennis this week, Uchiha?"

I don't hear the reply. He turns, sees me, and smiles, his dark eyes crinkling at the corners.

"Mr. Uchiha will see you now, Mr. Namikaze. May I take your jacket?"

I nodd and struggle out of the jacket. I stand rather shakily, trying to suppress my nerves. Gathering up my backpack, I make my way to the partially open door.

"You don't need to knock. Just go in.

I push open the door and stumble through, tripping over my own feet and falling headfirst into the office.

Crap! I am on my hands and knees in the doorway to Mr. Uchiha's office, and gentle hands are around me, helping me to stand.

I am so embarrassed, damn my clumsiness. I have to steel myself to glance up.

Holy cow... He's so young.

To be continued...

BREAKING: FBI Makes Illegal Move Against Trump | Top Stories Today - Duration: 3:32.

Supporters of President Donald Trump have long suspected that he faces deep resistance

in Washington, D.C.

One of the biggest sources of resistance is the "deep state," which is led by the

FBI.

This week, for the third time in a row, the FBI has refused to handover subpoenaed documents

relating to the mostly debunked "Trump dossier."

So far, both the FBI and the Justice Department have been saying "no" to the House Intelligence

Committee, according to The Gateway Pundit.

This is not only illegal, but it raises questions about the much-vaunted "independence"

of the FBI.

So far this week, the top law enforcement agency in the nation has received a black

eye.

On Monday, former Trump campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, had had his phone lines tapped

by the FBI.

Some of these taped conversations could very well have included President Trump.

So far, it appears that the outgoing Obama administration used a secret court order to

have Manafort spied on.

One of the driving forces behind all of this "deep state" intrigue is the now widely-discredited

"Trump dossier" that allegedly insinuates or proves that President Trump is being blackmailed

by Russian intelligence services.

This dossier was compiled by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele.

Steele now works with "opposition research" organization Fusion GPS.

Fusion GPS also has ties to the communist dictatorship in Venezuela and to the Russian

lawyer who seemingly set a trap for Donald Trump, Jr. during a suspicious-looking meeting

last year.

According to the Washington Examiner, House Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) "originally

set a Sept. 1 deadline for production of the dossier documents.

The FBI did not comply.

Nunes then extended the deadline to Sept. 14.

The FBI did not comply.

Then, Nunes extended the deadline again, to Sept. 22.

Now, again, the FBI has not complied."

While much of the "Trump dossier" is laughable, it has influenced public policy.

For instance, before being fired, FBI Director James Comey cited the dossier in several briefings.

The FBI has refused to handover subpoenaed documents relating to the mostly debunked

"Trump dossier."

Should the FBI hand it over?

Furthermore, now that Robert Mueller is investigating some of President Trump's decisions (including

the firing of Comey), the highly salacious dossier is enjoying a second life.

Unless the full contents of this dossier is turned over to the House Intelligence Committee,

then one is only left with the impression that the FBI is trying (desperately) to use

this dossier as some kind of battering ram against the Trump White House.

This story highlights not only the insidious power of groups like Fusion GPS, but also

the fact that in today's Washington, "transparency" is just a nice word that means nothing.

If the Trump dossier is really so explosive, then why keep it hidden from the light of

day?

The Democrats have made a devil's bargain with the "deep state" out of their sheer

hatred of Donald Trump.

If the "deep state" somehow wins this war, then expect the Democrats to suffer under

an empowered intelligence-bureaucracy regime.

The deep state wants to keep itself in power, and right now Donald Trump is a threat to

that authority.

Should the FBI turn over the Trump dossier?

what do you think about this?

BREAKING: America Just Sent a Powerful Message to Anthem Protesters | Top Stories Today - Duration: 3:37.

The legacy of Colin Kaepernick is hanging over the NFL like a dark cloud.

During the 2016 NFL season, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Kaepernick became the subject

of national outrage after he started kneeling during the national anthem to protest supposed

police violence against black Americans.

While Kaepernick is not playing in the 2017 season, he has left his mark on the NFL — and

the 49ers.

The San Francisco 49ers faced off against the Los Angeles Rams Thursday night for their

third game of the season.

However, by kickoff, there were more empty seats than fans at Levi's Stadium, as many

fans continue to boycott the NFL over the protests sparked by Kaepernick.

Multiple fans shared pictures on Twitter documenting the low attendance.

Less than half of the seats were filled by game start.

According to SFGate, ticket sales for Thursday night's game hit rock bottom.

Ticket reseller, Stubhub, was selling tickets for Thursday night's game for only $14,

around the same price of a hotdog and a beer at the recently-built Levi stadium.

The cheapest tickets were originally priced at $85.

Ticket search engine, TicketIQ, listed a slightly higher average price.

"The current get-in price of $17 is the Niners' cheapest game this season with an

average asking price of $88 — also the cheapest of the season," Explained Ralph Garcia,

public relations spokesperson for TicketIQ.

"The average ticket price across all remaining home games for them is $179," he continued.

He added that the average list price of a ticket has declined 32 percent since 2014.

Yet, Thursday was the 49ers "cheapest home game since the move to Levi's."

Since Colin Kaepernick launched his protest last year, the NFL has struggled to court

viewers.

A study released by J.D. Power and Associates last year suggests that about 30 percent of

the fans who stopped watching football did so because of the national anthem protests,

reports The Hollywood Reporter.

NFL started to see a dip in ratings last year, but concerns were brushed aside.

The dip in ratings was blamed the 2016 presidential election, and was expected to return to normal

this season.

Now, three weeks into the regular season, it appears that ratings and in-game attendance

are unlikely to recover.

Fewer people are watching the NFL today than there has been in years, perhaps decades.

The NFL was optimistic heading into the 2017 season after making a number of changes, such

as reducing the number of commercial breaks, and allowing players to celebrate touchdowns

with end zone dances, however, according to Guggenheim Securities expert, Michael Morris,

"Early results do not support this optimism."

"Continued declines in NFL ratings again this season will likely place further downward

pressure on media stocks," Morris said, adding that, "the NFL is an indicator of

overall primetime programming ratings performance."

At a rally in Alabama Friday night, President Trump compounded the NFL's woes by encouraging

football fans to boycott games if players keep protesting the national anthem.

"When you see it, leave the stadium.

I guarantee you it will end," the president said, but it seems that many football fans

have already got the message.

what do you think about this?

Why i stopped going to church - Duration: 11:04.

hey guys it's desi so in this video I just kind of tell you one of the reasons

I stopped going to church so I kind of just took notes on it cuz there's just

there's a couple reasons why I stopped going but in this video I'm just gonna

kind of talk about like one of the main reasons I don't gonna explain it a

little bit so um basically I do want to start off first of all that in this

video I'm not saying that Church it's like a bad place or anything you know

I'm not I do want to say that when you do start going to church in the

beginning I feel like in the beginning it's really gonna help you especially

when you're seeking like immediate help when you're like really like you know at

a point in your life where you probably need as much help as you can get Church

church is a great place when you're barely starting now it's really gonna

help you you know it's gonna help you to start feeling better and everything

getting more stable and stuff so I did like Church I do like Church because

well mmm I like God you know I love God you know

but uh God is good but it's all or that we're getting into it but then after I

feel like after you start getting good with God like you're really getting

stable and yourself and you're really strength strengthening your relationship

that you have with God I feel like you're gonna start seeing some things

like at least for me and I started noticing things that I didn't really

understand and I was kind of like um like why is this happening or why are

these people acting like that you know this is Church you know people are

supposed to come here to to get better and all that and not to you know try to

like discourage others to to kind of go off and not stay in the church so I

noticed that once I started straining strengthening my relationship with

Christ that um basically you know you'll start seeing things you'll start picking

up on things and noticing things and you're just kind of like oh well that

doesn't really align with God's Word and God's biblical principles

okay you know the ten commandments or just other stuff other just basic stuff

that got states in the Bible you know for you to do or not do so basically so

okay like not just church save me but it was also reading the Bible on my own

time and not just reading the Bible but applying it applying the Bible into my

life um and then I realized too like when I was going to the church and I was

already getting better that you know my gosh like I say it but um you know one

of the assembles I can be in these videos but you know they kind of just

they themselves they were not applying biblical thing biblical verses difficult

truths and there and the and the church themselves people there you know because

I felt like I noticed that I had to apply biblical principles myself I feel

mostly to mostly in church which was the most ironic thing like you're thinking

like oh you know why why is it that I have to more especially trust on my

faith in Jesus Christ more and God like it's crazy because I feel sometimes in

church people in there like when they see your ad van seeing and your

spirituality with God because they see it they obviously you know see something

so when I notice that um that I was getting better and I started going even

after I felt like I was getting better because I was like you know what it's

Church and you know you there's there's just supposed to be support in church

and if you go to church you're gonna keep staying strong and you know you're

gonna keep saying good but on the contrary I just started saying that once

I was getting better and I was still going to church I

notice that I wasn't feeling good there no more I started seeing you know

Christians there that you know they've been there going for a long time and so

had I had been going to that church already for a long time since I was

little but I guess they just kept going they kept going and kept going and then

it's like they kind of grow some kind of like uh I feel like they're not gonna

say it but they have favoritism they have they beat system they're so if they

have kept going for a long time for a long time for a long time for a long

time but they kept going you know like me like I stopped going like I would go

on and off I felt like they developed their own friendships their their own

cliques there and so then once they see like someone like me for instance that I

don't know why for some reason they decided that they want to judge me a lot

for I don't know for what like I'm not doing anything I'm just trying to go to

church to get better and after I started seeing that I was getting better

I seen that that's how they were acting they were coming off towards me was like

a cold Bible cold energy and I found it really ironic that I had to practice the

biblical principles in the Bible more at church than anywhere else it was like

how ironic is this you know it's in church supposed to be a place where

everybody is helping each other up lifting each other trying to motivate

each other empower each other and being like oh you

know like yeah that's good keep going instead of when they see you getting

better they look at you like what the heck like why is she looking why does

she look like she's getting better in Christ and maybe I've been here for

years they don't have to say these things to you but just by their

subliminal energy by their vibes by the everything they're trying to throw at

you is kind of like they're telling you that like they're telling you like damn

like why is it that you know I've been coming here to church this long been

coming all the time and even though I have my clique here with me and

everything like you know why does she look like she's getting better in her

relationship they don't have to tell you that just by the way they add you know

they start judging you I can services for instances like I'll just sit down

and I'm just trying to be attention and I'll just like from the corner of my eye

and I'm not even trying to look at the attention because it just it's kind of

too much what they do sometimes they'll try to like you can see them like

judging you like think you can see them just kind of like staring and then just

you know just trying to see like how you're gonna add because they want to I

don't know for some reason they want to see you fall they want to see you they

want to feel like they're there like they're there with Christ you know and

like oh well let's see what we can get off of her let's see what we can you

know have her do so that she can react in some way and then we can say ah you

see where the true Christians you know it's like what is all of that no no

that's not what that's not what real Christians do so you know and so

basically for this video this is one of the reasons I stopped going because

other Christians will start judging you and it's like you're not supposed to

judge it says in the Bible in itself you're not supposed to judge others so

you know I started seeing that when I was getting better than when I was

strength getting my relationship more strengthened with God they would start

judging me more and it's like I don't understand it why are you judging me

more when I'm getting better you should be uplifting each other and you know

they would just try to find little different things to try to you know make

me do something or say something and it was it was just getting kind of annoying

it was getting annoying because especially that my relationship with God

was strengthening that I didn't want to go there no more because I didn't want

to actually have it go in reverse you know I didn't want to actually have to

you know say something crazy to somebody because I know what they were doing

there's biblical verses about this okay like one for once there's a for one

biblical verse it's one this audience this once the Salone ends 1

Thessalonians 1 Thessalonians 5:11 and that basically says therefore encourage

one another and build each other up just as in fact you are doing which that last

part justice in fact you are doing that's what I was doing to them even

though they were not doing it to me you know I will see you no I wouldn't I

would compliment them I would be like you know that's good that you're still

coming you know like I'm happy for you and stuff and then they would just look

at me and they would just try to you know I don't know they were like they

just they just never wanted to try to include me in my church can be clicky

sometimes you know just like any other place and church should be a hospital

you know it's supposed to be like a hospital kind of place it's like a

hospital for sinners you know not a not a lot a place for like you know

self-righteous people that they think that better than you because they come

more far as ways with God because they'd have more time with you going constantly

and constantly and because you left you came back and then you know you seem to

be good it doesn't makes no sense to them and you know that doesn't sit well

with them you know like they're not practicing biblical principles you're

supposed to love one another okay you're supposed to love one another and

encourage to now encourage one another not judge others and there's another

biblical principle to this this one's an officious 4:29 which basically says it's

nine or eight it basically says do not let any unwholesome talk come out of

your mouth but only what is helpful for building others up according to their

needs that it may benefit those who listen

so basically them that do not let any unwholesome talk come out of out of your

mouth that's what they do when they're always gossiping around in their church

you know not taking got not taking God seriously not taking the stuff of God

seriously you know they're just around in their own little groups and when they

see someone else that is actually trying to you know be there with God like

really really be a god itself they don't like it because they're practicing sin

they're Christians that continually practice sin and that's where I am just

like okay well I can't come here no more because I can't be around people that

are not gonna build each other up and keep on wanting to expand their faith so

that's it for this video I hope you guys liked it and I'll

you guys on the next one

Particularly the times with you Particularly the times with...

YEAH

Love

Love

Love

It's long time, it's long time

(love...)

O.K. that's fine as long as you believe The only things moving don't mean a thing

Can you believe it, it's getting blue Straight through, line for line, trash

Believe Don't touch this

Ewangeliarz OP - 24 września 2017 - (Mt 20, 1-16a) - Duration: 2:12.

Sometimes we could use a mirror

which could confront us with the way we look

at certain things.

Another man could be such a mirror.

My own brother is sometimes a mirror to me when totally unaware,

I start being nervous and quarrelsome

about issues we don't see eye to eye.

Then suddenly, my brother can in a nice and simple tone interrupt me and say:

'Listen, I can see so much anger in your eyes that it makes me shrink.'

In today's Gospel the landowner is asking: 'Are you envious because I'm generous?'

It's great that you can actually realize at certain point

that you've been wrong in your judgement,

that people can see a gloomy and wounding tide in your eyes.

There is such a look, there are such emotions and attitudes,

such judgement, that even visually

it is becoming murderous.

I start being envious

without having realized this.

Let's ask God to show us a mirror whenever

that stupid, wounding and deadly judgement starts dominating over our imagination and our sensitivity.

Spekular LED Photography Lights / What is CRI / Part 2 of the LED Continuous Lighting LED Series - Duration: 12:10.

This is Spekular and this is Spekular and this is Spekular and this is Spekular and

this is part two of my LED lighting series.

Spekular is a new modular led lighting system that is being referred to as the Swiss army

knife for lighting.

In this video I am going to put Spekular to the test and I am going to do my best to demystify

those three letters that keep popping up when people talk about lighting…

CRI.

Stay tuned!

Hey gang!

My name is Joe Edelman and my mission is to help photographers like YOU to develop a solid

understanding of the HOWS & WHYS behind great photography so that you can achieve your goals

as a photographer.

The Swiss Army knife for lighting is a great reference for this new LED lighting system

from Spiffy Gear.

In case you don't remember - Spiffy Gear is the company the brought us the Light Blaster

that I showed you in this video.

Spekular is a modular lighting system that can take on all kinds of shapes depending

on your needs and this can save you money and the time needed to pack and set-up light

modifiers especially when you are working on location.

Each of these sections uses only 14.5 watts of energy which means just 58 watts for a

kit of four sections.

Each section puts out 1,500 lumens of light which is about the same brightness as a 150watt

light bulb.

That means 6000 lumens for a kit of 4 sections or a brightness similar to a 600watt light

bulb . Unlike fluorescent lights - there is no flicker with Spekular.

They are daylight balanced at 5600k with a CRI of 94+.

We will talk more about that CRI stuff at the end of the video.

They can be dimmed from 100% all the way down to 10% and they output light at a beam angle

of 120 degrees.

And they are small - just 1.5" or 4 centimeters square and 12 inches or 30 centimeters in

length.

Spekular comes comes as a kit of 4 LED sections.

Each section is built with aluminum and ABS plastic for a total per-section weight of

about three quarters of a pound of which is 335grams.

One section in each kit has the power switch, dimmer switch and plug for the power supply.

Also in the the case are 4 of these cool hinged connecters, a 1/4-20" mount, eight gel holders,

the AC Power Supply and Instructions.

To use Spekular, start with a control section and add a stand mount.

Then depending on the configuration you want to make - in this case I am going to make

a simple panel - you just slip a hinged connector on one end and keep adding pieces.

They just slide right in and then you tighten them in place so that the unit is not going

to come apart while you use it.

The hinged connectors also flip in the opposite direction so that you can create triangles

and hexagons.

Let me say right now that I think this lighting system is brilliant, but please don't lose

sight of the fact that they are small.

So if you are like me and you tend to use large light modifiers - you will need to take

a different approach to your lighting.

That doesn't make it bad - but it does make it different and it definitely helps if you

are comfortable and confident with your lighting skills.

To prove my point - I wanted to use Spekular to create the same lighting styles that I

normally do with my big modifiers.

The folks at Spiffy Gear were kind enough to give me two sets to test out, so I started

with a simple headshot.

You can see here that I have one set of four above the camera as my main light and one

set of four behind my subject to light the white wall.

I was able to shoot this at ISO200 with a shutter speed of 1/100th of a second at f/4.

Then I moved both lights in front of my subject for a simple clamshell lighting effect.

This one was also at ISO200 - 1/100th of a second at f/4

Next I switched to a #62 Purple Seamless Paper Background by Savage Universal and used just

four of the Spekular Panels arranged in a square.

With my subject seated just in front of my background and the Spekular light placed about

two feet in front of her - I was able to shoot this at ISO200 with a shutter speed of 1/100th

of a second at f/4

Next up a different subject in front of a #24 Orange Seamless from Savage, still with

the square arrangement, but this time I have used three additional Spekular panels behind

my subject - one is creating a nice glow on the orange background and the other two are

placed camera right and camera left as rim lights.

For the three lights behind my subject - I have one main bar from the second kit and

the two additional ones are attached using the expansion extension accessory kit.

The expansion kit comes with two additional mounting pieces for light stands, two section

to section extension cords and two straight connectors.

So now I have a four light set-up and a shot that was done at ISO 200 with a shutter speed

of 1/125th of a second at f/4

Next I switched to a #20 Black Seamless from Savage and used the same square as my main

light and just the two rims on camera left and right.

Shooting at the same ISO 200 with a shutter speed of 1/125th of a second at f/4 I was

able to get this series of portraits.

Spiffy Gear also has a cool accessory called the Star Adapter.

This adaptor lets you attach 8 of the LED bars to a central ring.

This arrangement gives you a really sweet broad light source and a very cool catchlight.

This shot was done with my subject sitting in front of a #27 Thunder Gray Savage backdrop.

I shot at ISO 200 with a shutter speed of 1/125th of a second at f/4

Here is the same arrangement on the purple background.

If I add a fan - back the Spekular star up to about 4 feet from the subject you will

notice the catchlight becomes much smaller and I can shoot a beauty shot like this with

an ISO of 400, an aperture of f/4 and an intentionally slow shutter speed of 1/80th of a second to

get some blur on the ends of the blowing hair.

Ok - so mission accomplished - I was able to recreate quite a few of my favorite lighting

styles with Spekular - but how about having some fun with color?

This three quarter length shot was done with just one Spekular kit.

My model is standing in front of a #01 Super white backdrop with two bars on camera left

- unfiltered and at full power.

On camera right, I have two more bars with a blue gel placed over them.

This shot was done at ISO400, 1/80th of a second at f/3.5 The filtered blue light on

camera right is just bright enough to add color to the shadows created from the main

light on camera left.

Next I went back to the black background and placed two bars on camera left as my main

light.

Two bars on camera right with a blue gel and then used two bars with a pink gel behind

my model on camera right and one bar with a pink gel behind my model on camera left.

The pink gels light up her blonde hair and the blue gel is coloring the shadowed side

of her face.

This shot was done at ISO400 and 1/80th of a second at f/4.

For my last set-up I used the same lights and gels but moved the blue set behind my

model on camera left so that it was creating a bit of a rim light - but not filling in

shadows on the face.

At the same settings, I was able to create this series of shots.

In addition to the Spekular Kit, the Expansion Kit and the Star Adapter.

Spiffy Gear also has a Battery Adapter that will allow you to use any DTAP-enabled V-mount

battery.

The Spekular Core Kit sells for $650.00.

The accessory are each priced at $130.00.

Now I know what some of you are thinking… you think this is expensive and that you can

by a few speedlights for the same price.

You could buy a few speedlights for the same price, but you can't match the versatility

that Spekular provides at this price.

Certainly Spekular is not going to be for everyone, but as you have heard me say before

- there is no one light that will meet all of your needs as a photographer.

While I have proven to you that it works great with people, I also think that Spekular is

perfectly suited for shooting products and I have no doubt that cinematographers and

videographers will fall in love with this system.

Just to give you a comparison… a Wescott Ice Light which so many of you GEARtographers

oohed and ahhed over - the Ice Light sells for $500 dollars and has a much narrower beam

output of 72.6 degrees and outputs only 1,740 lumens of light.

In other words its only slightly brighter than 1 Spekular bar - with a narrower angle

and costs almost as much as a whole Spekular kit, so like most Wescott products - it's

overpriced for what it offers.

Be sure to follow the rest of the videos that I will be doing in this LED light series because

I will finish with some hybrid lighting arrangements using Spekular in combination with strobes

and ambient light.

You can purchase Spekular online at spiffygear.com and it is currently available at Adorama and

BHPhoto with more retailers to come.

Oh…. one last tip about Spekular… remember the gel clips that I mentioned…. they also

serve another awesome purpose.

If you buy a role of Rosco Cine Foil - which every photographer should have in their studio

anyway… cut a 12" piece and wrap it around the back of the Spekualr bar - then attach

a gel clip from the back - one at either end and you now have a shapeable set of barn doors

for the Spekular lights.

You could even do the same thing with regular aluminum foil to make a reflector that will

give you a slightly broader right coming from one bar.

So whats the big deal about CRI?

CRI stands for Color Rendering Index.

This is not the same as color temperature that is measured in degrees kelvin.

The simple explanation is that CRI is a measure that shows us how well a light source makes

the color of an object appear to the human eye and how "realistically" or "naturally"

the light source makes different shades appear in relationship to each other.

In other words, CRI explains how accurately a light source is rendering any color in comparison

to daylight.

Is CRI important?

Yes, well not really - well yeah - well let me explain.

It really depends on what you are photographing and how accurate you want or need your colors

to be.

If you are reproducing artwork for cataloguing purposes - you need to work with lights that

have a very high CRI because you need to colors to reproduce accurately and in the proper

relationship to each other.

This would be the same if you were photographing products for advertising or clothing for a

catalog.

If you are doing something that is subjective like a creative shot of a model lit by neon

signs on a city street at night…. you probably don't need to care about CRI as you are

not likely to be concerned about having an exact color match.

The same could be said for a simple portrait.

The bigger the number the better.

CRI is measured on a scale that uses 100 as the best.

Incandescent bulbs have a CRI of 100 because they don't have any color discrimination.

But we all know that incandescent bulbs aren't very efficient.

When it comes to LED's the bulbs are considered good if they have a CRI of 85 to 90, but light

sources which have a CRI of 90 or higher are known as excellent and are the most appropriate

for tasks that require the most accurate color.

Just like any other aspect of science I could dig much deeper into this, the problem is

I would get a headache before you do.

So in short - Higher the CRI - better the color match.

Regardless of the type of work you want to do - keep your CRI above 85 and you will have

acceptable results unless you need that perfect color match - then you need 95 or higher.

Next up in the LED lighting series I am going to take a look at some sweet lighting panels

called Edge Lit Pro from Savage Universal and I am going to put them to use in the studio

AND on location.

Until then, I hope you found this useful.

Please hit that thumbs up and subscribe so that you don't miss any videos and until

next time go pick up that camera and shoot something because your BEST shot - it's

your NEXT shot, so keep learning, keep thinking, keep shooting.

Adios!

Is Social Media Really About Personal Branding, Or Just About My Last Breakfast Photos? - Duration: 8:26.

- Hello and welcome to my Digital Discovery Marketing

question and answer for Friday, September 22, 2017.

Today I'm going to be talking a lot about

friends and families and business and strangers,

and your personal profile, and your business profile

and your personal branding, and that sort of thing.

I've got some exciting stuff coming up

that I'm going to talk quickly about today.

Basically how to manage those social media profiles,

and should you be using your personal Facebook page,

for example, and what you should be doing with Linkedin

on your Linkedin profile as well.

Should you be showing more personal stuff?

So that's what I'm going to be talking about today.

Again, welcome, my name is Doyle Buehler.

Welcome to the Digital Leadership Facebook Live series.

My goal is to help you better understand and pursue

what matters most in your digital business,

and how to make a difference with your digital strategy

through enhancing and embracing your digital leadership.

I help enterprising entrepreneurs

scale, grow, and disrupt their business and sales

through digital leadership,

and I'm the author of the book on digital strategy,

"The Digital Delusion."

The overall purpose of this is to answer

your one important question,

"What real world digital strategies

actually will work for my business?"

Of course, there's no one-size-fits-all,

but the goal here is to help you decide

which strategies can work best for you.

As I mentioned, in today's show

I'm talking on how to decide what or how

you should separate your social media profiles

or if you even should, for that matter.

A lot of it really comes down to

what we call personal branding.

We all kind of get stuck and not sure where to post

or where or what or

will we offend our family

if we don't post our family pictures

or if we should be all about business kind of thing.

So that's what I'm going to be talking about.

If you do have any questions,

please feel free to add them to the comments below

and I'll address them later

or during the program as well.

So happy to keep that rolling also.

Again, it comes down to personal branding.

You kind of have to decide,

"What is the purpose of me in the digital space?"

So if you're just about

posting your family stuff and that sort thing,

that's great, but then you have to ask yourself,

"Are you in it for the business side of things as well?"

That's really important because

there obviously is a crossover

and you have to be kind of careful in terms of,

"Okay, well what do I need to action here?

"Who do I need to talk to?"

And that sort of thing.

The problem is that it's really, really blurred

between personal and business and that sort of thing.

So quite honestly, you can't just say,

"Oh I want to be just a personal profile

"or just a business profile."

From the personal profile,

people are going to find you,

regardless of whether you want them to,

and they're going to see some stuff

that perhaps is not appropriate

or is more family-orientated

or it's more private or that sort of thing.

So you kinda have to match that

with the other side of things to say, well,

with personal branding and depending obviously

on what business you're in, of course,

the two are sort of merging quite substantially.

So that's where personal branding comes into play,

is that you need to look at who you are as the business

and how that affects your business itself.

So it's really a matter

of defining that purpose and saying,

"Okay, well I am the front of my business

"so I need to get out there,

"I need to provide education,

"and I need to be out there and

"providing advice and learning opportunities,"

and that sort of thing.

So if you're missing that side of things

then it's obviously just a personal profile.

But again, you have to balance that.

At the end of the day, you need to decide

what are you in it for.

You're not going to be able to keep these profiles

clean and dried, to say okay, well family's over here,

business is over here.

Some people have created multiple profiles,

where it's Doyle R. Buehler on Facebook kind of thing

as opposed to just Doyle Buehler on Facebook.

The challenge with that is, again,

people are going to find you on that other profile

and then what are you gonna do?

And plus, then you have to worry about,

"Oh, which profile am I in?

"How am I going to log in?"

and that sort of thing.

It can be very, very complicated.

What I would suggest from a strategic standpoint

is ask yourself,

"What is my purpose here?

"Am I wanting to grow my business?

"Am I the personality of my business?

"Am I wanting to develop my business based on

"what I do as the business owner, the entrepreneur,

"as part of an enterprise?"

whatever the case may be.

Again, look at the personal branding side.

If you're able to say,

"Yes, I want to do that,"

then you kinda have to go with

I'm going to have one profile on each channel rather,

and use that profile.

You have to have a balance, too,

because people don't want to see

just the business side, right?

So people do want to get to know that person as well.

Again, that's part of personal branding.

It's really important that you look at

how do I actually

balance those two?

Obviously, rule number one,

don't put anything inappropriate on social media

because that's not going to help in either case.

Would your grandma, would your nana think that that's okay?

For most business people it's usually

kinda don't go to that depth.

You need to keep that in check as well.

There's again no real private profile,

so people will find you

regardless of what you do or how you do it.

So you have to decide,

"How will I embrace this?"

I personally don't think

you need to have separate profiles.

It doesn't matter if you're on Linkedin.

I see people with multiple profiles on Linkedin

because they're just about

one type of business on this profile,

and just about another type of business

on another profile.

To me, that's too complicated.

You're not thinking long term,

you're not thinking strategic.

You are your brand, right?

And again, that's back to personal branding,

you are your own brand.

You have to take that to say,

"okay, I'm everything in this profile,

"I'm everything in this Facebook profile,

"I'm everything in this social media profile."

So it's really important that you look at

how you actually do that.

So that's about it in terms of being able to

assign sort of a strategic action.

Again, take a look at what's you purpose.

Focus in on that business side.

If you're more family, then you have to decide

well okay, maybe I shouldn't be on Facebook,

or your just kind of keep your personal profile to itself.

But again, it's going to be very hard

if you're trying to build a personal brand.

Facebook does have capabilities to

create a page around you, which is good.

But again, it's not quite as personal.

You can convert your personal profile into a page as well,

but you need 20,000 plus

people to be able to identify with that group as well.

So it's a little bit further out there.

But again, if you're just looking for things to start,

then that's a good way to start small.

So hopefully that answers that question.

I know it's a big deal in the social media world

in terms of "How do I use this?

"How do I actually leverage that?"

So hopefully that's been helpful for you.

So thanks for watching.

There are three core categories that we go through

as part of these Digital Leadership Facebook Live events.

On Mondays, I talk about the state of digital,

looking at specific ideas and insights

that are happening right now

and how this affects your business

and what you can do about it.

I have, on Wednesday, my Digital Leadership guests

where I interview an expert in the field

and discuss their strategies for success.

And then finally, on Fridays, I have my Digital Discovery

Ask Your Marketing Strategy Q and A,

where I review tools, answer questions

or talk about specific challenges that affect you

and maybe hold you back.

So thanks, again, for watching.

Please like, please leave a comment or a question.

Thank you, and we will see you online.

5 Ways to Survive Small Talk as an Introvert - Duration: 4:44.

5 Ways to Survive Small Talk as an Introvert

Sometimes, small talk is necessary in order for us to be socially accepted in the society,

however, it doesn't do much justice for introverts who dread it.

The pure meaninglessness of conversations that revolve around the weather just to avoid

silence can actually be more stifling when no actual growth or learning takes place.

The absence of these components blocks honest connections with others that can cause introverts

to feel even more alone than ever.

And yet, to survive socially in this world, we have to be willing to meet somewhere in

the middle.

The world isn't a mind reader, so we shouldn't treat it like one.

Instead, we can be brave and join the dance.

In this video, I'm going to share with you 5 ways to survive small talk as an introvert.

Likewise, if you find this information is helpful to you, make sure to like this video

and subscribe our channel so you won't miss any interesting update in the future guys!

1.

If you feel anxious about making small talk, just remember that the situation in itself

isn't threatening, but rather the anxiety is based on your own beliefs and doubts.

Not every conversation you have with someone will be life-changing or fulfilling, but if

that were the case, then we wouldn't have a need to form exclusively special relationships

with the few people we have the confidence to call our best friends or our lovers.

If you fail at making small talk with someone to get the ball rolling, it's okay.

Give yourself credit for stepping out and trying.

It's going to be awkward at times, but that's not to say that it'll be like that for every

single experience.

Be kind to yourself.

Part of getting better at something means having to take both the good with the bad.

2.

Put less pressure on yourself.

If you don't want to be in the spotlight, then you don't have to be.

You can still engage in small talk without having to disclose a lot of information about

yourself.

Instead, ask questions to get to know the other person better.

Once you can weave a solid ground that establishes some similarities that the two of you share,

slowly, you can pitch in and relate.

3.

Elaborate on your responses.

When someone asks you how your week is going, instead of just saying, "It's going well,"

you can say something like, "It's going well.

I've been making more time for myself to enjoy life."

That way, the other person can ask you more questions along the way, so the conversation

doesn't remain stagnant and substance can be added as it grows.

4.

Steer the conversation by offering a chance to dive in the deep.

This is your chance to shine!

You can get to know the person you're conversing with on a deeper level by asking open-ended

questions.

This allows the other person to say more than just a few words.

Questions that ask about their opinions, what their dreams are, or factors that they can

largely identify with can make room for the conversation to build up into something more

stimulating and fulfilling.

Then, you can reciprocate and insert your own opinions and relevant life stories.

5.

Don't brood over what went wrong.

Instead, take mental notes (or physical ones) to help you do better next time.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Instead of blaming yourself, wishing you could've done things differently, take each experience

you engage in small talk as a lesson to sharpen your skills.

Ask yourself questions, such as What worked, What didn't work, What can I do next time

to prevent this from happening again?

The best part is that you always have the power to help yourself.

And remember that making small talk is just a tiny part of you; it's not an accurate

portrayal of who you are.

Rather, it only acts as a gateway for something potentially bigger and meaningful, but you

Nintendo Switch after 6 months... - Duration: 6:45.

Hey guys, it's Wesley Miscellaneous. Today, I'm gonna be talking about the Nintendo

Switch. Before I start this video I need to say three things. Number one: my cat

ran away. :( Number two: I'm really sorry I haven't

been making any videos that much, I started school back in August, so yeah.

And, number three: I am NOT sponsored or paid in any way for this, but I've

been using this awesome app called Quidd, and I think you should use it because

it's really cool. You can collect cards, stickers, and all that stuff and I

actually found out about Quidd from Mr.Beast, so Quidd if you're watching this,

and give him a bunch of money, or something, I don't know...

But, yeah now let's get right into the video. So the Nintendo Switch... I actually

really like it. I've had it for about half a year now, because I got mine in March.

The Joy-Cons are nice. I don't really play it like this... The firmware (on the Switch) I like,

the games I like... The Pro Controller, I feel like it's a bit overpriced, but

it's great. It's like an Xbox controller, except with a good D-Pad

and the A and B (buttons) are switched... There's also the screenshot button... Next I want to talk about

the dock. The dock could be better, but it's okay... A lot of people are freaking

out over it, but it's really not that bad though. It has three USB 3.0... Er... No (it has) one

USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports, the AC adapter, and an HDMI port... The Switch just

kind of just just creeks in there... But, yeah, I do have a screen protector.... I

don't know if you could see that, but I do have a screen protector, so I'm good

on that. I do have a smudge somewhere but that's beyond the point... Now,

I want to talk about games. Now, let me turn this on so I could see all the games. I'm

gonna be going in the order I got them, so the first game I got was the Legend of Zelda:

Breath of the Wild. It's the first actual Zelda game that I kind of played... Maybe

besides A Link Between Worlds.... But, I really love it, I played it three times

and I beat it once. Next, I got Super Bomberman R... I mean.... It's okay, but it's

$50... So... I mean next was all right. So, next was LEGO City: Undercover. I played this

game a lot. I liked it, it's okay. It's basically the same thing as the Wii U

version... But, yeah, I played the heck out of the Wii U version so yeah... Next up, we

have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Great port of Mario Kart 8, with a few added

characters. I recommend it. Puyo-Puyo Tetris a great game for on-the-go, also

kind of a cheap grab so I recommend that game. Next, I got Minecraft. Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition...

Well... I'm pretty sure we all know what Minecraft is by

now it comes with a few Mash-Up Packs and Skin Packs, which is pretty cool in my

opinion... So, I recommend it.

I mean, it's a little bit more expensive than other Minecraft versions, so....

Yeah, next up, we have Little Inferno Little Inferno was just a little game I

tested out... It was awesome, actually I've beat it a few times now... I really

recommend it. They had it for PC I believe and they

brought it to the Switch. It's a little indie game, so yeah, I like it.

Next up, we have The Binding of Issac Afterbirth +. Great game, but only

if you're good at it... XD I kind of suck at it but that's ok... And then the big one....

Splatoon 2 - I'm pretty sure a lot of you viewers out there have played the

original Splatoon. The original Splatoon was awesome. So Splatoon 2 is a sequel,

obviously. But it has basically all the stuff from the

original that made memories. And uhhh... yeah. Then all of my hard copies: I have LEGO

City Undercover, Mario Kart, Puyo-Puyo Tetris, Oh, I got the collectors. I wanted the

collectors of LEGO City but that's okay. Splatoon 2, the other version of Isaac, I

got this on Amazon, so it didn't come with a manual which made me so mad

because I loved the manual. Then, so yeah, I think that's about it that I have

to say about the Switch. I hope this review helped you decide to get a Switch,

make you think more about your Switch, play a Switch... I don't know! For whatever reason

you watched this video I hope I hope that it helped you. I love my switch. Personally, I

love all my games. So yeah, thanks for watching guys...

Espiritualidade em Gotas / Ep. 96 - Antipatias! - Duration: 4:07.

Antipathies!

And the instinctive repulsion experienced by some people?

Where do they originate from?

It is question 389 of "The Book of Spirits."

[ ♪ Soft Song ♪ ]

Spirituality in Drops

- They are unfriendly spirits who guess

and recognize themselves, without speaking.

The instinctive, spontaneous, sudden repulsion that

happens when two people feel, both or one of them,

translates, in many instances, a reunion of the past.

Souls who have intertwined relations of conflict,

who have injured each other or unilaterally,

and the injured person when he meets the other

feels activated within himself a nucleus of repulsion,

as if recognizing the enemy.

But, along with this causality, there is another

that the Spirits have pointed out that it makes very

often in our daily lives that we feel this

perspective of repulsion, that feeling

of detachment, of discomfort before someone,

is magnetism.

When we are closer to someone who

magnetically does not associate,

does not tune with us, we spontaneously feel,

naturally, a repulsion that is made,

characterizing that we are dystonic souls

in relation to each other.

It is not that either is bad; is that

they are different and in being different there is no

a sympathy; there is no affinity

when meeting them.

This does not represent in any way, any

turn away from

the people who initially generate

this kind of repulsion, even

because someone who is different from ourselves

only brings a magnetism representing

a different content of life than

our relationship with difference

is a very gratifying experience

for learning, since it is with the different

that we enrich ourselves and

that initial repulsion can then yield to a

relation of complementarity when we

open empathically to the other,

in order to learn in the way of the other,

, in the form of the other to put oneself in the world,

with the magnetic style that the

other presents itself, thus creating a possibility

of reciprocal enrichment.

It was not without reason that Jesus brought twelve,

different from one another, and

despite John calling himself the

beloved disciple, Jesus loved all.

But John was so prophesying, thinking that Jesus

could distinguish him by certainty,

for being the youngest, the most enthusiastic, and for keeping

a loving connection with Him.

It was He who said that: God is love!

In a deep harmony with the cosmic

magnetism of Jesus' love.

However, they all made up a garden

of differences that made a group of apostles

who initiated Christian

thought by giving expressive contributions to Humanity.

Therefore, my friend is not the one who thinks

like me, is the one who thinks next to me.

CEGO, ele enxergou durante a EQM | BLIND, he saw during the NDE - Duration: 26:47.

Welcome to the channel "AFTER ALL, WHAT ARE WE?".

Today we will know the NDE of Carlos Roberto,

who was riding his motorcycle at high speed,

when he lost control and crashed head-on into a wall.

In that accident, he lost sight of both eyes.

He was fourteen days in a coma,

and during this time he went through his near-death experience.

Although already blind, Carlos Roberto saw everything during the NDE.

Mysteries.

With you, Carlos Roberto.

Carlos Roberto, good afternoon.

Good afternoon.

Thank you for sharing with us your story.

I would like you to tell us your name, your occupation or ...

your profession, please.

My name is Roberto Carlos Alexandre...

currently, I am a student,

I'm taking a law degree,

at UNIP University.

At this moment I'm retired for disability.

I'd like you to tell us what happened to you ...

and how was your near-death experience.

In fact, I suffered an attempted assault,

in 2013.

On January first of 2013.

I was giving a ride to my son, on the motorcycle, I was riding the bike,

in order to take him to Paulista Avenue, where is his office,

and then...

we were approached by robbers...

it is logical that ...

the right thing to do was not to react, but I ...

I reacted ... I ran away ... I tried to run away ...

with my son on the back ...

and the robbers fired,

with firearms ... in the middle of traffic ...

and...

a car got in my way...

and I lost control of my motorcycle at a very high speed,

and I hit ... a wall,

where I was ...

rescued ... after a while,

and taken... to a hospital,

where I was induced to a coma,

and where I went through several surgeries.

I was fourteen days in a coma.

And my near-death experience ...

I mean ...

I had one...

before I came back from the coma, actually ... I think it was before I came back from the coma ...

I can remember it to this day ...

the experience, I was ...

on a grassy hill... a green hill ...

the sky was low, and very blue ...

so to speak, in quotes, it was a very beautiful day ...

I was... under a beach tent ...

and I was saying ... that I wanted to go back ...

"I need to go back", "I need to go back" ...

and then a couple came to me ...

a couple that...

conveyed peace ... they were really gleaming ...

both dressing white clothes ...

and then the man, only him, spoke to me:

"Calm down."

"We're going to take you back."

That's what I remember.

And I think that's when I came back from coma.

Later I learned that I had been fourteen days in a coma.

I think in that moment I came back,

I came back choppy,

not knowing where I was,

and I did not know anything about having lost the vision.

Everything was dark.

That's my story.

Why did you lose the vision?

What they told me is that ...

the doctors told me that the visor of the helmet ... pierced my left eye,

and with the impact ...

the retina of my right eye was completely taken off.

I went through several surgeries ...

At the time of the accident they wanted even to ... take off my eyes ...

but my family did not authorize.

I can still, with my right eye,

see light,

flashes,

I see flashes ... I know when it is day, when it is night ...

Interesting ... then you probably lost your sight at the time of the impact.

Yes, yes.

After that, however, during the Near-Death Experience ...

you could perfectly see the hill, the lawn ...

Certainly.

How is it ... you talked about a ...

beach tent, how was it?

Yes ... what I saw there was a tent, that kind of white beach tent ...

and I was under that tent ...

Are we speaking about those four columns tents?

That's it, four columns, it was high,

and I was underneath it ...

I was on a stretcher or a bed, I do not know really what it was ...

Were you lying down?

I was lying.

Were you covered?

No, I was not.

Could you see your own body?

Yes. I could see my body lying but I could not move, I could not get up.

And did you realize that at this moment you were somewhere else?

Yes, because I saw that very blue sky, very low sky...

a grassy, green hill ...

Asking in more detail ...

Was it a supernatural place, out of here?

Did you have this perception?

I did not have this perception because ...

I think I had... because the sky was much lower than normal.

But the hill was normal ... green ...

But the sky ... very low.

It is interesting that you say "very low sky"

what does it mean ... the sky ... you look at the sky ... what means a low sky?

That's the question ...

it seemed it was within reach of my hand,

for example, within my arm's reach.

When you look at the sky,

you see the sky but you see it at that normal distance,

and when I was there, what I was seeing seemed to be normal ...

it seemed to be very low, it seemed easy to be reached.

And these two people who arrived ...

did you recognize them from somewhere?

No, not at all.

How were they like? Could you see their faces?

Interestingly ...

I could see their faces ...

their bodies, normally, with a very bright white clothing,

but only the guy spoke to me.

He just answered ...

to what I was talking about,

to what I was asking because I wanted to return, I was wondering ...

and he just replied:

"Calm down, we're going to take you back."

And did you listen to it as I am listening to you now or ...

Easily.

or was a phrase that came ...

No, no.

at once?

The voice was very soft but it came at once ... get it?

But did you hear the phrase being said?

Yes, surely.

So, you could see this hill ... that was green ...

I could see the hill.

this tent, the sky ... and anything out of it?

No ... no ... only that.

what about sound?

No, there was no sound ... it was quiet ... peaceful ...

Totally, nothing of sound.

What did you feel?

Peace.

A feeling ... very much so ...

of peace ... a peace .. tremendous ... it had no birds ...

Good sensation?

Good, very good. No birds,

No noise ... nothing ... nothing.

It is something like ...

But you still wanted to come back.

- Yes. - Were you connected with your family?

With my family, so much that I said, I remember that I said:

"I need to go back, my children are there, they need me."

Regarding the sense of time ...

I did not have the perception of time.

It was like I said ...

After I had rehabilitated myself a bit ...

Imagine ... fourteen days in a coma.

Some people who undergo a near-death experience comment that ...

the time seemed slower, or faster, did you have any kind of perception about it? ...

The feeling I had is that the time had stopped ... it had stopped.

The time had stopped?

The time stopped. I could not feel it going by.

It stopped.It stabilized there.

But did you have a feeling of a stopped time?

Yes. Stopped. And there was no wind either ...

I do not know...

I do not understand, really.

Many say that it could be a dream ... but I say no, it was not a dream.

Well, this is a question we always ask:

Why do you think this was not a dream? Please explain to us.

I don't know how to explain to you why it was not a dream ...

I do not know... well, I think a dream is a very quick thing, is not it?

You go to sleep, you dream, you wake up ...

but this time it seemed not to be a dream, it seems to be very real.

It was real.

Scenes of the past, of your life?

No, no.

Wasn't there a tunnel? ...

No, no, no.

You didn't arrive somewhere?

No, no.

Any sense of limit? As for example "I can not go beyond here, if I go, I will not come back"?

I did not know where I was, right?

(I thought) "where am I?"

Did not you realize the moment you returned?

Or simply at one moment you were there ...

and the other you were back?

Exactly. I think at that moment,

when I met this couple,

when the couple came to me,

I think after that moment I came back from coma.

My impression was that ... when he said "calm down, we're going to take you back,"

because I was very agitated,

I think that's... when I came back.

At that moment you say you were feeling ... peace ...

does it have anything to do with a sense of ...

connection to the universe?

or connection to the whole?

Or not? Or was it just peace?

It was just peace. Honestly, it was a great peace.

I do not know what it is ... if it is an entry, if it is a ...

but there is peace.

It could be an entrance to some place, I don't know ...

About that couple, I already asked but I don't remember the answer ...

Did you see their faces?

Yes, yes.

How were they like?

I do not remember her so much ...

I know ... that they were... white,

they had white skin ...

the clothes were very white ...

like a bright ... light ...

very shiny ...

but I can not...

detail...

The face?

The face I am not able to detail ...

Then you came back, right?

I think that's when I came back from coma.

Exactly at that moment.

And did you tell about this experience, right after, to someone? Or not?

Not right after.

But when I left, when I was discharged,

let's say ... after a month or two, I'm not sure,

I told this to my wife, she was the first person I told.

And she was very impressed too.

She was very impressed.

From then on I began to tell people ...

when they asked me ...

how was the accident, what I felt ...

then I told, I reported exactly what happened.

I can not forget it.

Until today.

It has been almost four years.

Did this experience ...

modify in some way ...

your vision about death?

Oh yes.

How?

Changed for good ... because ...

I keep thinking that ...

as I always had peace, I always had ...

God in my heart,

I think...

I think...

let's say ...

when we say that there is a heaven and a hell,

I think...

my way is the heaven.

But did the fear of death decrease?

Or it didn't change? You had no fear before?

It didn't change. I never had fear of death.

I've never been afraid.

And now...

much less now, after having ...

gone through all this.

because the doctors disillusioned me ...

They told my family, "we did what we had to do."

"Now, only God."

I use to say that I have two dates of birth,

I think I was reborn.

I think so.

It was very serious.

But then, as you said "much less now", does that mean that, in some way,

this experience was a ...

confirmation of what you will find in the future?

I think so. I think so.

Has your life changed after that ...

beyond the obvious of having lost your sight,

and it is obvious that this causes a radical change,

but with regard to the experience you have gone through,

has something changed in your essence?

I'm having a lot of dreams now,

I dream about ...

people that...

already died...

as my father...

but, yes, there is a ...

a story in which ...

during a dream I received a phone call ...

all within the dream ...

a call from a friend ...

and...

she called ...

my house.

She dialed wrong,

in fact she wanted to talk to ...

her son...

called Ricardo ...

and by then I did not know her son's name ...

and...

and I told her, I recognized her voice and said, "But wait, Domitila," her name is Domitilla,

I said...

"Don't you know who you are talking to? You are talking to Carlos, you dialed wrong."

"Oh, sorry, Carlos, I thought I was talking to my son ..."

"because his mother in law ..."

"I need to go to the funeral of his mother in law"...

Then I said: "mother in law's funeral?"

"Yes, his mother in law died, I'm late, I'm waiting for them to pick me up ..."

"And they did not show up till now ..."

It was a dream.

I told it the next day for my wife.

And I kept thinking about it.

So I called this friend ...

and told her the dream I had.

I told her: "I dreamed of you" ... and she even joked: "oh, was it a good dream?" and I answered, "well ..."

"it was not so good."

"I dreamed you mistakenly called me here..."

"and your son's mother in law had died."

She said: "that's it."

"Exactly. It's been seven days since she passed away."

I did not know.

Did you have this kind of thing before?

No, not at all. No, no.

So, someway, something changed?

Yes, something has changed.

Carlos, did you previously know about near-death experience, did you know what was that?

I already knew the story ...

of a former brother in law of my wife.

He told me that ...

He had gone through an NDE ...

In fact his NDE was very strange ...

because he was ... I do not know what was his situation ...

the pathology he had ...

but he stayed two months in a coma.

He also says that he returned from the coma ...

after the NDE,

He says that he was crossing a bridge ...

a wooden bridge ... made of rope and wood ...

and this bridge was breaking all ...

and underneath there were many larvae ...

larvae, so to speak ...

and there were hands and arms, trying to pull him down.

Then I told my experience to him and said, "wow ..."

"my experience was very different from yours."

He returned from his coma at that moment.

Did you know about his story after you had your NDE?

Before.

Oh, you already knew it?

Yes, it was before, and then talking to him again,

I told him my NDE and he told me again his NDE,

and then I thought, "wow, that is very strange."

What is the understanding you have about all this today?

As for what happened to you, about your going there ...

What is the meaning of living, today, for you?

How does this near-death experience fits your understanding of life?

What is your mission?

What do you think of all this?

My wife didn't want me to leave ...

to give this ride to my son ...

she said it was too early, we had just passed by December 31st ...

We had arrived home at dawn, we not even had slept well ...

and she said, "he can call a cab..."

Then I said, "No, by motorcycle is faster ... and I'm here ..."

So ... it looks like, someway, she already ... you know when you think it looks like that's a warning?

And you can not understand it?

I just couldn't understand it.

And I went.

I did all this.

So today I give more value to simple details ...

It seems like I'm beginning to realize the details ...

I give more value to life ...

A lot more.

Not that I did not give before.

I always gave value to life, ...

to faith, to God ...

but is different.

It looks like you came from another world or you renewed yourself ...

as you went to that world ...

when you return, you return renewed, I think.

This experience adds to your life, right?

That is, you lived everything you lived here, plus what you lived there, at that moment.

Your understanding of life ...

was it extended?

How do you fit this near-death experience in life?

And those people, who were those people?

How can they have this power of speaking to you: "calm down, we're going to take you back ..."

What is the understanding you have about all this?

Look, honestly, ...

my understanding is vague.

I do not know...

Sometimes I wonder ...

were they angels?

It was as if they were angels ... bringing me back ...

It looks like I have to accomplish something here.

I still have something to accomplish ....

in Earth.

That's how I understand.

Were you religious?

Yes.

Non-practicing, but Catholic.

And...

in a way, did your experience correspond to something you imagined could happen in this situation?

Was it different? How was it?

No, no. It was different.

I never imagined that this could happen ...

I do not know...

I don't know if it is really what it is, I don't know if it is the way it is ...

the passage from this life to another life ...

I believe there is another life.

So I think this experience happened to show me ...

and I tell everyone that, yes, there is another life ...

I was not able to see how it really is ...

because I didn't go, I didn't pass away ...

but almost.

You said that you dream a lot, right?

Yes.

And in your dreams do you have normal vision?

Yes. I never ...

I never had a dream in which I couldn't see.

I always saw, I always saw people ...

even people who were already dead, like my father ...

and also others, such as friends ...

I can see, talk ...

and this is something that my mother said she was never able to do.

that is, to dream about my father, who has been dead for over twenty years ...

Carlos, to conclude, I would like to ask you some questions,

in fact we've already talked about almost all this I'm going to ask.

But they are questions that are part of a protocol of an American physician named Bruce Greyson.

It is a protocol that is used worldwide in this research on near-death experience.

So, for each question, you can answer, let's say, "no", "yes" or "very much".

Okay.

The first question:

During the NDE, did time seemed to have passed faster or slower?

Slower, I think.

- Slower? - It semmed stopped.

- Stopped? - Stopped.

Did your thoughts get faster?

No.

Did you see scenes from your past?

At that moment, no.

Suddenly, did it seem that you could understand everything? ...

or did you have a sensation of understanding that you do not know where did it come from?

No. It was incomprehensible.

Did you feel peace?

Yes.

Peace, yes. Certainly.

A feeling of joy?

No.

No, not joy. I was very scared ...

but I was in a very calm place.

But I ... I didn't have a sense of joy.

Did you have a sense of harmony or unity with the universe?

Yes, of harmony.

Did you find yourself surrounded by a bright light?

At the moment I saw the couple, yes.

The light came from them?

It came from them.

Your senses seemed to be sharper than usual?

No.

They seemed to be normal.

Were you aware of things happening in other places?

While you were there?

Yes.

You were under that tent ...

Yes.

At that moment did you have the feeling of being aware of what was going on, for example,

at the crash site?

No.

At the crash site, no.

I was well aware of what was happening at that time.

Of what was going on there ...

In that place, in that moment.

I was not aware that I had suffered an accident.

Scenes of the future appeared to you?

No.

Did you feel separated from your physical body?

No. No.

It looked like I was normally there, with the body, the soul, everything normal.

And you not even knew you had lost sight?

I didn't know I had lost the vision, I was seeing normally there.

Did you have the feeling of entering into a supernatural world?

Oh yes.

Different.

Because the sky was so low.

In my opinion it was low.

A very calm ... place...

a gleaming couple like that, with that light ...

Did you feel the presence of a mystical being?

Or did you hear an unidentifiable voice?

No.

Those people you saw looked normal, right?

They seemed to be normal.

Only they were very bright?

Yes. Luminous.

And the light came from them or from their clothes? I have this doubt.

I do not know.

But I think that...

the light was on them.

That's why, I think,

it lit up like that.

I do not know if it was on them or if it came from them ...

What I know ... is that it was very bright.

Finally, did you feel the existence of some frontier, at any point ...

like "look, I can't go beyond here"?

Yes.

Yes, and besides that I couldn't move.

I was lying there but I could see.

And I saw that sky, that infinite hill ...

But did you have a feeling that there was a barrier?

Like a limit?

Yes.

I think that place was the limit. I think that place was a limit.

From there or I would go to another world ...

or...

I would return as I did.

I think that place was the limit.

And the last question, whose answer I also know, but it is in the questionnaire ...

Have you seen any religious leader?

No.

Some mystical figure?

No. Only the couple, which I thought it was very ...

it was different.

And this couple looked like a normal couple, right?

Yes, they seemed...

normal, but I had that feeling:

are they angels?

I don't know.

After all this, what would you like to tell people?

Like a message to the world.

I wanted people to be more conscious,

and more human because...

here on Earth, let's say ...

it is quite different.

But if the person is in a near-death experience...

or if it is the moment for that person to pass away,

At that moment he or she will understand.

He or she is going to realize everything he or she has done, everything he or she would like to have done ...

so I think ...

we must live, live well, live in harmony, while here,

in peace,

I think that's it ... I'm a little shy ...

But you spoke beautifully.

Thank you so much again.

I thank you.

Calm down.

We're going to take you back.

That was the phrase that Carlos Roberto listened to.

Do you realize how frequently occurs this kind of phrase during the NDEs?

Phrases like:

"You will return."

"It is not your time."

"You still have something to do there."

More mysteries.

10 Times R&B Artists Touched Our Souls With Their Vocals - Duration: 6:49.

10 Times R&B Artists Touched Our Souls With Their Vocals

Its been a solid year for R&B artists in the Korean music industry.

With the likes of Crush and Dean and their amazing vocals, its hard not to have our souls touched by their soulful voices.

There are seriously just so many artists out there who have the ability to take our breathes away with just a simple riff.

Heres a look at just 10 of the many performances from R&B artists (in no particular order) that have left us in a puddle of our emotions.

Make sure you watch all the clips.

I promise you, itll be worth it.

To start off the list, heres Deans rendition of Corinne Bailey Raes, Like A Star.

Do you feel the emotion? Encore, please.

Kim Jo Han – Holding Onto the End of the Night.

From the godfather of Korean R&B himself, the original Solid member, Kim Jo Han singing his hit classic.

Dont mind me, just wiping away my tears.

[Skip to 1:23 for the start of the song].

Soul – Weight in Gold.

Prepare to have your soul shook.

This is one of my all-time favorite performances by G.

Soul. Yeseo – Bud.

Yeseos soul-wrenching vocals always make me emotional.

Check out her live performance of Bud. And yes, its live.

Babylon – Haru Haru.

One of the best R&B vocalists in Korea, Babylons cover of Tashannies, Haru Haru is just so dang poetic.

Do yourself a favor and listen to all of Babylons live covers.

Theyll blow your mind.

Jay Park – Stay With Me.

What would an R&B list be without the mention of Jay Park? His smooth vocals have touched us on one too many occasions, but the time he sang, Stay With Me was on another level.

offonoff – Moon.

One of the lesser known R&B artists, but a group you cant sleep on.

Offonoff is a group that never fails to give you the feels.

Park Jung Hyun – Rain in Yong-Dong-Gyo.

The queen of R&B, Park Jung Hyun put her heart on her sleeve when she was on Gods Voice.

She remade a trot song and were all the better for it.

Crush – Beautiful.

We obviously cant forget Crush on an R&B list.

He rarely ever sings this song on programs, so its really a blessing when we can hear him singing it live.

Maybe its because he doesnt sing it often, but he puts so much emotion into it.

And if you want some more food for your soul, listen to him singing, Call You Mine.

Jooyoung – Nothings Gonna Change My Love For You.

Any song that Jooyoung features in is gold.

His smooth R&B vocals are so easy to fall in love with! Check him singing the cover of this classic love song.

Its just so sweet!.

Hey Soompiers, which of these is your favorite R&B performance? Let us know in the comments below!.
