Youtube daily report w Sep 17 2017

Chain lift hills are an extremely common element found on many of the world's roller coasters.

You'll often find them towards the start of the ride, dragging guests up to incredible heights.

But what purpose do these elements serve?

Lift hills are essentially the mechanism which gives a roller coaster its energy.

As the trains of the ride climb the hill, they gain potential energy.

Once riders plummet back towards the earth, this potential energy is converted into kinetic energy,

causing the trains to accelerate.

Located on the lift hill section, roughly in the centre of the track, is a chain.

This metal chain is used to pull the trains of the ride up to their maximum heights.

The chain itself runs in a small steel trough along the straight section of track.

As the chain reaches the top of the hill, it interacts with a gear wheel,

causing it to return down to the base of the ascent.

A large motor, usually found underneath the base of the lift hill,

allows for the chain to move along the steel trough.

To ensure each car can engage with the lift chain, the underside has been modified.

A large piece of metal, often called a 'chain dog',

can be found attached to the base of the car.

As the train rolls onto the lift hill,

the protruding chain dog slots into the gaps of the chain.

This allows for the riders to be carried up the hill,

before plummeting towards the ground to start their roller coaster experience.

As the trains crest the hill, the chain dog disengages from the chain.

To ensure that the train will roll over the top of the ascent,

the chain goes beyond the apex of the hill.

At this point, the chain dog will disengage, and guests will begin to enjoy their ride.

In the event that the chain stops moving,

multiple fail safes have been put in place to protect riders.

Alongside the moving chain can be found a column of metal teeth,

known as the anti-rollback device.

Underneath the train, further metal pieces protrude onto the anti-rollback device.

As the individual cars ascend the hill, the metal moves up and over the teeth.

This movement is what produces the iconic 'clicking' sound heard on roller coasters.

In the event that the chain stops moving forwards,

the cars will roll back onto the flat side of the teeth, before coming to a stop.

This prevents the entire train from accelerating back down the lift hill.

On many roller coasters, the chain lift hill runs constantly.

However, as the trains begin to ascend the hill, the speed of the chain increases.

Once the cars have disengaged, the chain returns to its idle speed.

This is very different to an alternate lift hill method, the cable lift hill.

The LEGO Movie I would LOVE to see! - just2mail #4 - Duration: 3:58.

Hello, just2good here,

remember just2mail?

Well, it's back.

Send your questions to just2goodmail@gmail.com

and they may appear in an upcoming episode.

First question comes from Tristan.

When is just2good fan mail number four coming out.

Uhhhh

Next question is from Tad,

who asks what LEGO Movie idea I would like to see.

Good question.

I have to think about this one.

Realisticly.

Since the LEGO Movie franchise is by Warner Bros.,

having a full movie based on Disney properties

like Star Wars or Marvel just wouldn't happen.

Honestly...

I would like to see a LEGO Justice League movie.

Like, the Batman Movie was good, but I felt it was weird

that Superman and Green Lantern had such a small part.

They were hilarious in the LEGO Movie.

A LEGO Justice League movie would allow them to have a bigger part,

as well as still have key characters like Batman.

Though, again bringing in realism, the LEGO Batman Movie underperformed,

so I worry that this idea wouldn't happen.

Next question from Zack, who asks if I think a Sonic set

or a CMF Series would work.

And what characters I would like to see in the Sonic CMF series.

Well, we already got that LEGO Dimensions set of course.

I love Sonic, but you guys know that already.

Anyways.

I would enjoy sets or a CMF Series, but the property

doesn't have as much of an appeal as other potential licenses

for a LEGO Minifigures Series.

Like, look.

Say what you want about the Simpsons but that TV show has worldwide appeal.

The show is literally only running right now

because the reruns bring in high view counts in foreign markets.

Disney is Disney, of course it has worldwide appeal.

Anyways, that's why I think a LEGO Sonic Minifigures Series won't happen,

it just wouldn't sell as well.

I don't even think sets would sell as well,

unless it's based on the upcoming movie.

Because look, Sonic Forces is a small forty dollar game,

Sonic Mania was a small twenty dollar game.

Those two games are the most recent Sonic games

and they're not necessarily big releases.

This is coming from someone who LOVES Sonic Mania, by the way.

Bricktopus asked what I thought of the Rogue One sets,

and if I think more would come in the future -

and wish I would like to see.

Look.

I think the Rogue One movie was overrated.

Like, the first two acts were boring and formulaic.

But the third act was great.

Like, say what you want about the Force Awakens

but at least I was enjoying it all the way through.

For the question.

I thought the sets were okay but I'll be honest.

I bought them all and I regret it.

I haven't build any of the bigger sets and I own them all.

I don't think more will come out since the movie was really a one off,

as were the characters, so it's harder to sell to the kids.

That's why I see a lot of the figurines warming shelves,

though this is all my speculation.

There's two things I'd like to see.

A LEGO Saw Gerrera and basically this set CM4Sci made.

This set looks fun as heck, and it's from my favorite act of the movie,

and Saw Gerera would make for an incredible figure.

Next is from Caleb, who asks if LEGO will make sets on the Venom movie, since it's in

the MCU.

Well, first off Caleb, Sony's new Venom movie will be sort of in the MCU.

Like as much as the Netflix shows are in the MCU, aparently.

And no, not every MCU movie gets sets.

Just every since the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Secondly, it will be rated-R, so there's no way we're getting sets based on it.

Dalton asks, do we need Toy Story 4 sets.

Do we need it?

No.

Do I want them?

Heck yeah.

What scares me?

They will probably be Juniors.

What makes me okay with that?

The fact we'll get great minifigures.

What makes me mad with that?

If they're LEGO Juniors sets, the builds will be simpler.

Finally, Craig asks, do I think there will be more LEGO Simpsons sets,

and which I would want.

Unfortunately, I don't think there will be more LEGO The Simpsons sets,

unless there's a new movie.

Then we'd probably get a new Direct to Consumer set,

like what they did with Pirates of the Caribbean 5,

or what they did with Ghostbusters 2016 -

though that was a wide release set.

There's no new movie on the horizon, however,

and as the voice cast grows older, they're running out of time.

I would love to have a Krusty Burger and Android's Dungeon.

Those two are all I need.

Maybe a Nuclear Power Plant as well.

Oh, and Springfield Elementary.

Like, why didn't we ever get Principal Skinner minifigure?

Anyways, that's it for now.

Don't forget to send your emails to just2goodmail@gmail.com

if I ever make a fifth entry.

I'll see you guys later.

Peace out.

Bye.

ELSA: Now that our CEC manager put us in charge of the animatronic costuming,

I wonder what we should dress them as...

KRISTOFF: Well I did find this manual for dressing CEC robots for Halloween.

But I lost it.

But the good news is... I do have some ideas in my head.

(sound of thinking montage music plays)

(a very short break of silence)

(sound of a classical Cyberstar starting up.)

ANNA: Can someone tell me why I am here?

KRISTOFF: You are here because you are forced to listen to Fractured Classical Music.

ELSA: And it's starting now so...

EVERYONE GET QUIET.

CHUCK: Greetings. It is I,

Charles Edward Cheddar.

And welcome to the debut of my new "classical" composition.

This composition is called:

"Cheese"

I hope....

...you enjoy.

(applauding intensity)

ANNA: I don't know why I'm-

ELSA: JUST KEEP CLAPPING.

(my attempt at finding a sound of a baton hitting a music stand.)

(Sound of Elsa's Coronation Music)

ANNA: So you dragged me to a Chuck E. Cheese's store just to force me to listen to classical music.

ELSA: I AM DISPLEASED BY YOUR DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOR.

JUST SIT STILL

BE QUIET

AND LISTEN TO CLASSICAL MUSIC IN A CONCERT.

(classy music continues)

(a shorter break of silence)

(and yes it continues.)

(applauding intensity.)

ANNA: Let me guess, the wink music from early 1990s plays...

ELSA: No.

KRISTOFF: It gets better.

(classy vibrato plays)

WINK: Charles Edward Cheddar,

thanks you for...

listening to classical music tonight.

(today's show was written by Queen Elsa of Arendelle and Kristof the Ice Seller of Arendelle.)

iPhone X - 25 Things You NEED To Know Before Buying! - Duration: 13:51.

hey what's up everyone its Adrienne and welcome back to my channel I'm so

excited I feel like I've been waiting for this moment for like months and

months and months and this moment is the iPhone 10 iPhone X and iPhone 8 and 8

plus release oh my god I have so much to say about it in today's video I'm gonna

be telling you guys 25 new features weather good weather bad about the

iPhone X more specifically I will talk a tiny bit about the iPhone 8 and 8 plus

but to be honest it hasn't changed that much from like the 7 in the 7 plus so

I'm really gonna be focusing on the iPhone 10 or iPhone X I think it's

called the 10 they just write it like X which makes sense cuz it's cooler that

way so hopefully after you guys watch this video you will have a little bit

better of an idea of what the iPhone 10 has to offer and whether or not you

think it is worth purchasing as you guys know I love everything about iPhones I

do life hack videos I do videos about iPhone apps tons of stuff like that so I

will link down below some playlists to all the other iPhone videos that I have

done there's plenty of content for you guys to binge watch learn all you can

about iPhones before making the decision to purchase the new one before we begin

it be sure to click subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and click

that Bell for notifications I want to get that notification squad going strong

so let me know down below if you guys are from the notification squad and also

it's this video I want it to be a conversation I want you guys to ask me

questions that you have I can always make follow-up videos this is me just

talking to you guys about my opinions on this phone and whether or not I think

it's worth fine are you guys without anything else to say let's get into it

alright so before we get into the goods of the iPhone 10 I'm just gonna mention

a couple really brief things about the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 plus now I

don't know if we all were even expecting this to come out at this time but it did

and to be honest nothing is that new and crazy about the iPhone 8 compared to the

iPhone 7 obviously the number one major difference is i OS 11 now here's the

thing though iOS 11 will be available to you if you

have any of the previous models of the iPhone so essentially getting an 808

plus really isn't that much different my thought is honestly that you should

stick with the device you have if you're not planning on getting the 10 but that

is totally up to you one thing to really consider though before you guys update

your current software is that they make the new software for the new model

of phones so that just means that sometimes if you upgrade your software

on a phone that it wasn't built for aka an iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 oftentimes over

time it'll decrease the lifespan of that phone it'll get slower that's just

because the software is outperforming the phone if that makes any sense the

software was built for a higher powered model of a phone so it's very compatible

with that new fucked so when you upgrade your old phone oftentimes it'll get

slower and that in my mind is like a marketing tactic of Apple to get you to

buy the new phones because they want you to upgrade your software so that over

time you're like my phone is slow but really you guys these types of phones

that cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars are supposed to last you longer

than they do so just keep that in mind just be weary of upgrading your software

on a phone that the software wasn't designed for it still totally works and

it's awesome it's also a really good benefit to be able to get that new

software on your old phone without paying the money for the new phone but

just be careful because it will slow it down I mean I've always had that

experience obviously everyone has different experiences but I definitely

think it does so that's really all I'm going to say about the iPhone eight I

really want to focus on the iPhone 10 in this video so to start off we're just

gonna talk about the general changes of the iPhone 10 and then I'm gonna go into

what the worst parts about it are so if you're considering buying it be sure to

stick around because you're gonna want to know why you should potentially not

buy it so first and foremost one of the biggest changes is that instead of

having a home button it is now just going to be this thing called face ID

the iPhone 10 will come with a true depth camera sensor meaning it basically

a lot of really complicated hardware will recognize your exact facial

features to be able to unlock your phone so in order to unlock it you raise your

phone to your face and then you swipe up and that's all you do it'll recognize

your face and then you swipe up and it'll unlock it now this is all really

cool in theory but in my opinion it's not necessary there aren't pros to face

ID over touch ID however for example it'll protect against people trying to

get into your phone wearing a mask or showing a photograph of you or any sort

of spoof it'll protect against that because the technology is so good it'll

know that it's a photograph it'll know it's not you so that's awesome

with touch ID which was the home button in the old way to unlock your phone the

chances of someone random being able to access your phone was one in 50,000 with

face ID the chances of someone unlocking your phone

aren't you is one in a million so this feature is obviously more highly secure

you don't have as much of a risk of someone unlocking your phone but overall

it's not this like revolutionary thing I think it's just gonna be like different

like you're not even gonna think about it you're just gonna be like whoo yeah

cool and I know a lot of people are concerned about like will I look so

different in the morning without makeup or like what if it's nighttime but

according to the Apple Keynote speech they really think that it does a really

good job of recognizing your face whether you have makeup on or you change

your hair color they seem to think that that's not gonna be an issue so I don't

know it'll be interesting to see the next biggest thing I noticed are the an

emojis now this is the name that they are calling the emojis that are animated

not only can you send them an an emoji with just like a movement but you can

also send them a video with audio as well and it'll actually loop so I think

that's really cute again not like a necessary feature but just definitely

something fun that the iPhone 7 and iOS 10 doesn't have the next feature that's

different is that you can simply tap your phone to wake it up right now you

either have to do movement or actually click on the button this one you'll be

able to tap the screen and it'll wake up so it's kind of cool the next different

feature is that instead of pushing this button for Siri you can still say hey

Siri or you can push shut up Syria or you can push the side button and that's

how you will activate Siri on the iPhone 10 so because of this lack of home

button I bet you're wondering but how do you go home well on the iPhone 10 you

actually just swipe up from the bottom to go home so that's interesting but

again it's nothing like revolutionary I'm not like oh my god I've always

wanted to swipe up to go home no like it's just a new thing and I do think

it'll be weird getting used to no home button but probably the same as the no

headphone jack you kind of get used to it after a while the next thing that's

different is that you can swipe along the bottom of the phone in order to go

from app to app and they're calling this multitasking now this is a different

feature however on the iPhone 7 and other models you actually can use force

touch to click on the left side of a page and actually scroll between the

apps so it's not like the multitasking feature didn't exist it's just different

because now you're just gonna swipe along the bottom

another new features they now have this two-tone flash which basically just

means that the flash will allow for better photography all-around better

photography in low-light which to me is something I really really care about is

having a better photography and low-light they'll also have this staged

lighting effect which I don't fully understand

I think it essentially just means you can actually kind of have the background

be black and just like have a really artsy portrait photo they showed one in

the keynote I'll insert it right here but that's kind of cool next and

probably a feature that you guys all really really want is that the battery

life will increase by two out again this is kind of I think a marketing tactic of

Apple like when the batteries suck people want to buy new phones and so

they always kind of increase the battery life so that people will get the next

phone maybe not maybe I'm crazy but it is a business and people always want the

new phone so battery life increasing will be really really good because I

know out this case my phone will be at like 40% by 11 a.m. and it's ridiculous

I'm also on my phone like 24/7 and another big change is that the iPhone

and will have a wireless charging map I think this feature is actually very cool

you don't need to use the wireless charging map you'll still have this

charging port but I do think the wireless mat is cool if you guys have an

Apple watch if you have the air pods you can like buy one of those bigger maps

and just stick them all on it overnight and they'll all just charge that will be

an extra cost so obviously you have to factor that in but I do think it's a

really cool feature all right so before we get into the cons and reasons why you

should not buy this phone I just want to say that overall I didn't think this

phone was as revolutionary and different as I thought it would be I really

expected something with like a ton of new features but really it's mostly just

the external design that's a lot different and the face ID versus the

touch ID other than that I'm not I mean of course they're changing things

they're updating things but I'm not finding it to be this like crazy

different phone now let's get to the cons huh I hope you have your tea first

of all we obviously need to talk about price now the iPhone 10 starts at $9.99

for a 64 gigabyte phone and then it actually jumps up a hundred and fifty

dollars and goes to 1,100 $49 for the 256 new device this is ridiculous this

is the most expensive iPhone that has come out it's way too much in my opinion

especially considering that with how high-powered this phone is you're gonna

want a lot of storage so 64 gigabytes in my opinion wouldn't cut it like I have

256 now and it's great I'm already at like 100 gigabytes and I've had this for

a year so 64 gigs just wouldn't cut it meaning

I would have to get the $1,150 phone which is just like in my opinion

ridiculous not to mention that's just for if you live in America if you guys

are out of the and you have some sort of conversion

rate that is not in your favor these are gonna cost so much more like this is

ridiculous if you look at these prices it's crazy

can you imagine spending $1500 on a phone I can't personally so that sucks

and on the topic of price you also have to purchase a charger you have to

purchase the adapter because they're going to be switching to USBC which is

those like skinny cords that the new MacBooks have instead of the regular USB

so no matter what you're gonna have to buy that power block which sometimes

they're 50 bucks sometimes they're 75 that's just annoying and another cost

and on the topic of money and risk the back of the new iPhone is all glass so

no one quite knows how this is gonna play out yet but I feel like it could be

a lot easier to shatter the back of your phone if you drop it just seems like it

might be a little bit too fragile and I I just can't imagine paying that much

and then just like dropping it and shattering it so yeah I don't love that

another thing to consider is that this is the first generation phone of the

iPhone 10 what I mean by that is that this is the first time that they've

tested out this new product so there may be a lot of bugs and glitches that they

come across over the year until they release the next model whether it's like

the iPhone 10s or whatever it is there may be a lot of glitches and oftentimes

it's not great to get the new product right when it comes out because of this

reason you want to give the developers time to figure out what the bugs are

what people are unhappy with and then change those for the next version so if

you're someone who's tight on money and you don't necessarily need to switch I

could recommend waiting until the next model comes out because I do feel like

they will fix a lot of those glitches and it's just less to worry about

another thing that I didn't really consider but I saw a video on this is

that the screen at full brightness it's kind of dim when you compare it to the

samsung galaxy note 7 or s7 or s8 or something like that

I don't know Androids I'm sorry if you compare it to that at full brightness

the screen of the iPhone is pretty dim and I don't love that I'd like a really

bright colourful phone and granted the screen is absolutely incredible in terms

of the display the Retina display is like beautiful I haven't seen in person

but from the videos it looked beautiful but it definitely is significantly more

dim so the next major difference on the screen is the notch on the top which

they call the sensor now this is kind of annoying I expected

more of like a square screen with just like tiny little dots on the whole top

part instead of just like this chunk cut out so I really don't love that and I'll

tell you why first of all the sensor housing can get in the way when you're

looking at apps or when you're scrolling it's kind of just there so it kind of

cuts into whatever content you're looking at also if you're someone who

had an iPhone 7 plus you need to realize that your screen is actually gonna crop

in a little bit so what you're used to seeing that width you're no longer gonna

have and that's gonna affect certain apps that haven't updated yet they're

gonna have little black bars on the top and bottom there's just something to

consider that the screen is going to be a little bit different and it won't be

compatible with every single app and everything you do on your phone also

something that's gonna bother me a lot is that it's actually going to cut into

your video so the video that you will take and video you'll watch will be in

the 16:9 ratio which is like totally normal however if you're watching it

fullscreen it's gonna actually crop the video because the corners are rounded

and also that sensor housing is going to cut off some of the content so if you

don't fullscreen it which of course everyone wants to fullscreen it you can

see the full picture but it's cropped in I personally don't love the look of that

I'd rather watch it fullscreen but it bothers me that that sensor housing will

get in the way so that's something to consider it could be one of those things

you get used to very easily but I just don't know another con is that you can

only put in one face for the face ID this won't apply to everyone but I'm

sure some people maybe share a phone or maybe they're a parent and their kid has

access or they have access to their kids phone but you can't do that you can only

have one face so that won't affect everyone but that's definitely something

to consider if you're someone who does sheriff own or want multiple people to

have access to your phone it's no unearthing so good luck go those

girlfriends and boyfriends trying to snoop on their significant others

because that's not gonna happen you literally need their face another

difference is the reach ability and what I mean by that is like when you look at

the phone and you're holding it with one hand your ability to be able to reach

from the top to the bottom every app or any of the scrolling is going to be

compromised with the iPhone 10 and the reason for that is that the notification

bar is now going to be on the top left you have to pull all the way down from

the top left of the phone so if you're holding with one hand and you can't

necessarily reach the top that's gonna be annoying and you have to use your

other hand and Sam goes with the control center the control center that you now

swipe up to it is going to be swiping down from the

very top on the right hand corner so it's not a huge deal but it is a factor

and I mean I know people with the pluses probably already had to deal with this

but if you have little small hands like it might be hard and it's definitely

just something to consider so those were all of my thoughts on the iPhone 10 in a

nutshell I know I ran through those super super quickly I just wanted to get

that out there in the most basic form possible and you guys can leave me

questions let's start a conversation about this I'm super curious as to what

you guys think of this are you guys going to get the iPhone 10 are you not

are you even iPhone users or do you just like watching videos like this let me

know your thoughts I'm thinking of pre-ordering the iPhone 10 myself but

the more I watch more more videos I don't know if I want to I may want to

get the eight plus and then wait until the second generation iPhone 10 I'm keep

wanting to say X but I haven't decided let me know down below what you guys

think I hope you guys enjoyed this video remember I'll leave my other iPhone

video playlist down below be sure to click on those subscribe if you haven't

already give this video a thumbs up if you liked it and I'll see you in my next

video love you so much bye

Chain Lift Hills: Explained - Duration: 3:06.

This video was made in conjunction with 'Ride the Edge'.

Peace out.

Bye.

Why Superintelligent AI Could Be the Last Human Invention | Max Tegmark - Duration: 4:51.

Hollywood movies make people worry about the wrong things in terms of super intelligence.

What we should really worry about is not malice but competence, where we have machines that

are smarter than us whose goals just aren't aligned with ours. For example, I don't

hate ants, I don't go out of my way to stomp an ant if I see one on the sidewalk, but if

I'm in charge of this hydroelectric dam construction and just as I'm going to flood

this valley with water I see an ant hill there, tough luck for the ants. Their goals weren't

aligned with mine and because I'm smarter it's going to be my goals, not the ant's

goals, that get fulfilled. We never want to put humanity in the role of those ants.

On the other hand it doesn't have to be bad if you solve the goal alignment problem.

Little babies tend to be in a household surrounded by human level intelligence as they're smarter

than the babies, namely their parents. And that works out fine because the goals of the

parents are wonderfully aligned with the goals of the child's so it's all good. And this

is one vision that a lot of AI researchers have, the friendly AI vision that we will

succeed in not just making machines that are smarter than us, but also machines that then

learn, adopt and retain our goals as they get ever smarter.

It might sound easy to get machines to learn, adopt and retain our goals, but these are

all very tough problems. First of all, if you take a self-driving taxi and tell it in

the future to take you to the airport as fast as possible and then you get there covered

in vomit and chased by helicopters and you say, "No, no, no! That's not what I wanted!"

and it replies, "That is exactly what you asked for," then you've appreciated how

hard it is to get a machine to understand your goals, your actual goals.

A human cabdriver would have realized that you also had other goals that were unstated

because she was also a human and has all this shared reference frame, but a machine doesn't

have that unless we explicitly teach it that. And then once the machine understands our

goals there's a separate problem of getting them to adopt the goals. Anyone who has had

kids knows how big the difference is between making the kids understand what you want and

actually adopt your goals to do what you want.

And finally, even if you can get your kids to adopt your goals that doesn't mean they're

going to retain them for life. My kids are a lot less excited about Lego now than they

were when they were little, and we don't want machines as they get ever-smarter to

gradually change their goals away from being excited about protecting us and thinking of

this thing about taking care of humanity as this little childhood thing (like Legos) that

they get bored with eventually.

If we can solve all three of these challenges, getting machines to understand our goals,

adopt them and retain them then we can create an awesome future. Because everything I love

about civilization is a product of intelligence. Then if we can use machines to amplify our

intelligence then we have this potential to solve all the problems that are stumping us

today and create a better future than we even dare to dream of.

If machines ever surpass us and can outsmart us at all tasks that's going to be a really

big deal because intelligence is power. The reason that we humans have more power on this

planet than tigers is not because we have larger muscles or sharper claws, it's because

we're smarter than the tigers. And in the exact same way if machines are smarter than

us it becomes perfectly plausible for them to control us and become the rulers of this

planet and beyond. When I. J. Good made this famous analysis of how you could get an intelligence

explosion, or intelligence just kept creating greater and greater intelligence leaving us

far behind, he also mentioned that this super intelligence would be the last invention that

man need ever make. And what he meant by that, of course, was that so far the most intelligent

being on this planet that's been doing all the inventing—it's been us. But once we

make machines that are better than us at inventing, all future technology that we ever need can

be created by those machines if we can make sure that they do things for us that we want

and help us create an awesome future where humanity can flourish like never before.

Scary Moments From It That Didn't Make It From Book To Screen - Duration: 3:53.

2017's It has been scaring audiences everywhere since its release, but for all the terror

Pennywise is causing on the big screen, the novel contains even more horrifying scenes

that had to be cut from the film.

Here are the scariest moments from It that were too terrifying to leave the book.

Ben's first encounter

Early in the novel, Ben Hanscom is shown volunteering to stay late to help his teacher finish some

last-minute tasks, and by the time they're done, the streets have cleared.

Even though it's brutally cold, Ben decides to walk home alone.

Along the way, he spots a clown standing on the ice, clutching balloons and offering Ben

one, with his usual offer for the kid to float.

What's frightening about it is that Ben does want that balloon and feels sucked into Pennywise's

mental grip, which is only broken by the town's clock chiming to indicate the top of the hour.

Talk about being saved by the bell.

The werewolf

The It movie did a great job of sneaking in a lot of the pop culture-inspired monsters

that loomed large over the Losers, but the werewolf at the Neibolt Street house only

appeared in a blink-and-you'd-miss-it moment.

As in the movie, the werewolf arrives during Bill and Richie's journey into the house.

But while Richie's perspective shows It as the four-legged freak show, Bill sees something

different.

As they escape on Bill's bike Silver, he describes It as a clown in a varsity coat, which runs

counter to Richie's memory of the monster.

It's a subtle difference, but the scene proves that It looks different to different people

depending on their particular fear, which makes it that much scarier than some bozo

with big teeth.

The absence of the wolf also means that the book's weapon — silver slugs — aren't

a factor in the movie, which is why the Losers end up fighting with a bolt gun instead of

their trusty slingshot.

The standpipe

Although Stan's first encounter with It in the movie takes place in his father's office,

the literary version is a lot creepier.

As a child, Stan is an avid bird watcher and heads down to the Barrens to do some spotting

near the Standpipe — a notoriously off-limits part of town, since it claimed too many lives

when it was open to the public.

After seeing the Standpipe appear to float, Stanley goes inside.

The door shuts, locking him in, and he hears a voice claiming to be "the dead ones."

He only manages to escape by chanting the names of birds from his guidebook.

Despite what he's seen, Stan still has trouble wrapping his head around what's happened and

needs more proof of It's existence.

This all goes to show, of course, that Stan has more trouble accepting It than the rest,

which will have deadly consequences for him later in life.

Georgie's picture

In the It movie, the kids' projector slideshow develops a mind of Its own and slowly churns

out a more-than-photorealistic image of Pennywise.

That might be a clever way of getting the feel of the scene across while embracing the

movie's adjusted timeline, but there's still something particularly sinister about the

way this moment goes down in the book.

As reimagined by the TV miniseries as well, Bill looks at a photo album with some innocent

family pictures of Georgie.

But one photo of his lost little brother starts to move, winking at him and promising that

he'll see him soon — just before the book starts gushing blood.

Making matters worse is that the image represents Bill's freshest memory of Georgie, since it

was taken just days before his death.

Sure, the It movie brought Georgie back to terrorize Bill, but the scene as written is

a spine-tingler all on its own.

The disappearance of Chad Lowe

Other than Betty Ripsom and Patrick Hockstetter, the children who've gone missing in the 2017

movie are largely ignored, which means the movie also passes over one of the most disturbing

disappearances of all: Chad Lowe.

Grown-up Mike Hanlon makes mention of the boy later when recapping the town's attitude

towards the missing kids, pointing out Chad's case to the cop who wants to wave away the

deaths or disappearances as coincidence.

Lowe was just three and a half when he went missing the same year the Losers made their

first stand against It.

Granted, Pennywise has never seemed to care about the ages of his victims; after all,

Georgie's just six when he's snatched away on the street.

But little Chad is still just a toddler, which makes his probable death even more gruesome.

It's a footnote to the whole story of It, but an especially unsettling one.

ENCOUNTERS! ENCOUNTERS! | Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Extreme Randomizer Soul Link Part 12! - Duration: 34:59.

what's going on my eryibros welcome back to another episode of pokemon heartgold

SoulSilver randomizer souling and before you say oh it's been a long time since

you record a last one where's the other one well we recorded that and we

uploaded on Wade's channel if you haven't seen it only mine link is

somewhere on screen with the whole iCard situation I guess and it's also in the

description oh yeah totally forgot about that what

do you think yeah end cards am i right yeah but either way I think it's time

for a quick team update because things went down in the last episode again go

watch it but yeah there you go that's the final warning before I spoil the

episode here you go what happened was that we lost two pairs and they're both

weights what what that's false that is false we lost our starter pair

and we lost I forgot what the when we got the other pair from but yeah it was

it was the route right before azalea town I believe wait we got a decent pair

to supplement it I guess I don't know heck yeah dude titled Terra is here yeah

so we got horny peridot taro taro which is our egg pair that we got from mr.

Pokemon 26 your overleveled I know I'm sorry it's fine I'm all

little 25 on every way heracross still bug fighting obviously quirky nature and

whoops and it's got the moose slash energy ball will-o'-wisp and

extrasensory and we have one stab move which is pretty nice but too bad it's

physical there's an icicle attack and then look at the special attack make use

of the sixteen facility yeah either way tinted lenses its ability and

good and yeah horniest part what's hot to attach huh who has a pretty good

stats actually I mean like the defense is the only one that's kind of falling

behind said an earthquake or someone just stomping I don't even know anyway

um a pretty good special attack and there's some really good moves to make

use of it with the arrow blast and uproar up works just normal I just

realize that an extrasensory outrage is also here but its physical so that's not

gonna get used to most likely and a soundproof maybe that'll come in handy

once and I won't even notice it cuz I'll be talking either one next up we have

the only pair that survived which is who is it still timid and still has the same

moves actually wait I don't know if I learned

water pulse to off-screen or in the last episode I don't remember but either way

feel like you had it yeah but either way it's got pretty awesome like all-around

just good decent stats so yeah and Marvel skills its ability pretty good

Pokemon it looks like it and the pet fray is paired with a Rolo who I just it

just really caught me off guard for a second that is uh she's in a fast ball

cuz I don't even remember getting one but it makes sense because Rolo has a

freaking 70 speed and 62 physical attack overall just a fantastic Pokemon I don't

want to get hit in the physical side but I mean I'm gonna be out running it so as

long as I can just one shot it before the physical hit comes that'll be

that'll be good I wish I had a wide lens though cuz none of these moves have a

hundred percent accuracy so uh you know either way and spooky plate for that

megahorn it's it kills every time dude yeah in our final pair is toadstool our

pollito which we caught all the way back in violet City we allowed that up to 25

it's a jolly nature Jay guess that's haribol but I don't profess it's

got pretty decent stats really bad ability but decent stats

it's got hydro cannon recycle meteor mash and tackle and meteor mash have

come in handy I mean really negative and tackle I mean two physical moves and

then had your cannon special but does a lot of damage but either way in terms in

terms of stats toadstools actually reminded me a lot of his partnership

cran bull so I was really I was like not super excited to use snub at first and

then I started to fall in love with her because she was really good and adorable

and then she has like these perfect like like 35 to 40 stats all the way across

the board and then evolved into this monstrosity and speed completely tanked

and I mean the rest of her stats are very good so it's hard to complain but

uh I don't know I don't like Granville quite as much either way shinobis here

with Aquajet discharge cut and shadow claw discharge being the weakest here

because it's special but still not even that bad so yeah hopefully hopefully

she'll be able to do it also because oh man what does she have before anesthetic

that was just too terrible of an ability we had to switch it out for - when she

evolved so thank God anyway but either way guys we should expect good amounts

of encounters this episode I'm thinking maybe for at least at least - I don't

know how much long time for you know

get out your Metapod easy hopefully we're not over leveled I know Gengar is

a monster of course it'll be something different he'll be high level so nice

total tada what do you have to say about this they let out a roar thank you a

little spaghetti noodle either because we're at least getting one encounter

here soak the tree for me and see what happens all right let's do it

so as we mentioned before this is a static encounter so if it the gender and

stuff doesn't really matter

basically all the rules don't matter even the same type thing I don't think

matters because we can do it oh all right we got a Machop in a cuter I'm

gonna throw a great ball all right I didn't do it what I wanted it to chatter

ha ha soundproof already coming in handy

should I use extrasensory it is a tea power but I only have three physical no

it's special what am I thinking outrage I guess I could use you don't outrages

it's tempting because I have so local segments you don't die oh that's sacred

fire ok one great ball I think we should do one great ball should do come on come

on Machop you know you want sterilized Howell this is actually kind of a

problem right now yeah all right three

um I guess I'm gonna well your defense is like snow you're really defensely ok

get out there oh wait no you don't have physical defense

I read the stats room okay well I actually kind of scared now cuz sacred

fire is a powerful powerful move how bad is your physical defense we know

you are super bulky okay I got them getting my pairs all confused yeah all

right oh we got Machop boys we got Machop hey I'm really concerned like I

don't think I can touch you King Larry I don't think you can be hit by anything

and you're not you're not even wiggling

I mean I have 35 Special Attack and an 80 power discharge that's and that's

like all I can do really I mean Rollo only has 18 Special Attack

do you have I'm pretty sure you're all physical though yeah and Todd otona cock

I kind of wrecked out there well just try just try a whittling it down with

the Aquajet see what happens I think got a one shot at honestly really I mean my

physical attacks pretty good no it not swish it's 49 move probably I mean cut

is probably weak to display the same power then do cut okay I'll take your

word for it use your ghost-type double edge all you want oh my god what the

heck this thing must this thing must have a million defense sacred fire okay

yeah you chatter all you want all right and I'm gonna heal up we're not we're

not taking any risks with this kingler yeah getting the ball yeah you must have

really a physical defense yeah yeah there we go

look I waste so much not on the current team right yeah cuz the water you know

I'm just gonna name they'd like that the generic name is John Cena for these kind

of guys but I don't like calling a mr. mr. John Cena right I always call him

Arnold because I just imagine him saying get doozy choppa I've called the okay

I'm gonna call you mine uh Jesse I don't know I can't think of anything else so

just get to normal person names for I repair there are no than Jesse I forgot

I forgot this is a girl though shoot know isn't it yeah have you ever gotten

a girl Arnold before I don't know if I have I've used Arnold like three or four

times on the channel because I never get that yeah

it's where I always the same Pokemon in every series hey Jesse what do you have

8250 wait what was that 8250 too wide the fence there's little

beds yes and that's best you have a really good ability I don't want to take

any special attacks uh really good these are not bad moves sacred fire 100 power

physical on that forty three attacks that's pretty good

forty-one special attack for 33 defense yeah I don't think it's worth switching

out the pair though yeah I'm just gonna pretend that's gonna pretend Jesse's not

there

I'm gonna pretend Jesse's not there so we don't the run all the way back to the

PC too long of a trek so there's a new route leftovers wow that's pretty good

I'm just getting some competitive battle battling items dude I'm ready to go man

I should get that - oh yes it is route 37 and I just realized we can actually

go to the right and get to a Pokemon Center way faster so you probably do

that after we get this encounter sure not risk anything because the thing is I

feel like Tata Tata can hit the weakest on the team so that'll be the one I want

to use - oh we can down the wilds and he's burned right now so I want a risk I

also don't like in case my like oh wait no nevermind I was gonna say in case one

of the Pokemon has roar like like something like wrap like whatever makes

you switch out Pokemon but I just realized when they do that that just

ends the battle so oh yeah I mean there's there's nothing we can do

because we care it we cannot anticipate that go ahead and just put Machop in the

PC I forgot - well I might as well because you have your first encounter

you ain't the first ones so I might as well run back I completely forgot the

dead box why is my voice loking in the dead box I don't know why you're in the

box I said box have so much more in it have

I just been sending here oh it's because I keep yeah I keep getting things and

then you accidentally kill yours or whatever yeah stuff like that or they

roar or they just crits and stuff porkchop man what a good Pokemon that

was yeah I can't imagine anyone who would lose in a gleba sitting their

super potion over and over hoping for a no crit

even though I think favorite Pokemon game of all times I just made them yeah

I always go back and forth like every time someone asks oh my favorite one is

I always go back and forth which mean heartgold SoulSilver and platinum

I think it's platinum though I just love it so much yeah we go and I'm about to

start playing Gen 4 in the channel is comes actually will start when this

video goes up so my channel hey this is future way talking I'm actually a goober

and though let's play the egg walk let's play is not going up on the same day as

this let's play so disregard everything I said yeah I'm

gonna plug my own channel on this video head over to my channel for the pokemon

pearl randomizer egg lock it's gonna be sweet by the time this goes up that I'm

gonna already start it so it's not gonna be really room for eggs I mean if you

want to send them access anyway I should have sent you a bad I mean by the time

we recording this you sure still can also real quick do you think I have

enough pokeballs I have three great balls one premier ball two pokeballs and

one master ball I mean one master ball sounds like good enough to me it's up to

you I'm being you might want to get more I don't know how I feel like we've been

stalling and a lot in this episode alright don't you don't get something

hard to catch oh cool master I mean that's up to you it could be bad I'm

gonna wait for you to catch yours first okay hey palm is the catch rate of a

legendary so I'm not gonna be able to catch it unless I use my master well

yeah I mean I'm just gonna throw it you want premier ball buddy I love a palm so

I'm gonna throw a good ball at him and me three oh come on a palm right that's

what I'm feeling right now how about one that matches your colors you're not blue

what am I talking about we're down a bit okay have a pokeball

how about yep soft-boiled a pokeball yeah okay that's up to you

I mean it has the catch I mean legendary I'm not gonna be able to catch it yeah I

guess I mean we can't really use this pair right off the bat you can't yeah

that's fine I mean it could be good I mean cuz like then again there's really

no saying that any other Pokemon would ever be good so you might as well right

yeah let's try another ball thirteen I wouldn't touch it

energy ball is not very effective though flying isn't very no ice yeah okay throw

a ball as long as it's not flying type I don't think have anything to worry and

even if it is you're still twice as level so like always underground it's

not gonna do anything but I'm pretty sure you can I mean you might as well

just go for a move cuz you're faster right of course whoa no does he feel do

you like premier ball has like a lowered catch rate than pokeball yeah

it feels like they claim it's the same thing okay if it goes down to I mean if

it's gonna kill itself a burden and just

yeah alright ok here we go it could suck there you go hey one in every step I

mean whatever attack it's using like whatever if it's physical or special on

a dig must not be very good yeah it's neutral all right Ivan even you

Jack you a palm Jack the a pop cuz of pirates liquor bein Reggie that's pretty

good a thirty low 15 30 physical attack and speed that's not bad

you've won damaging move in its rage uh no thank you

that's not terrible I mean the special defense has got awful but other than

that like I don't think there's actually no my my physical defense is good my

speed is good and my special attack I can work with well we need a frickin

move like I'm looking at the time we've been recording for we've done nothing

hey oh my Swampert and illumise I'm really I'm still really scared that

petrified it's gonna die even though you can hold its own let's go first shadow

claw any womb eyes oh I'm sorry Swampert I didn't even know I had this boy grass

tight blaze cake goodbye you're out of here dragon rush

come on insulin alright that's it I should have wait oh what's the other

one's name I did I see that right Tori until I thought okay it never mind

anyway Leafeon riolu punch pro like actually oh oh you guys can actually get

that that that money yeah that's yeah that get that at work as the kids say

yeah I didn't do anything attack order takes it

there are so many things that our generations say a lot that I just I just

get so confused and I'm like I feel like kind of embarrassed that I'm confused

because I'm a part of it at the same time like speaking at normal freakin

human anyway because we're in a critique city dude the other day somebody was on

Twitter hidden paola and they called themselves us they called himself a Stan

and I was like what the heck is a Stan and I looked it up and it was just like

another word for Fame and I was like why didn't you just freak it's a fan then

yeah what I don't like about like these like like shortener words that just like

different kinds of the same word I guess like I understand if you want to say it

like as long as it's like a shortened version of it I guess I don't know like

it'll actually at least makes sense but like when people are just saying like

like longer versions of like just instead of just saying the actual word

it's just like it doesn't make any sense to me people don't make sense I mean oh

that's some music playing oh so I kind and you out just one of the double check

that wasn't super effective I guess I have to kill you because you won't let

me run even close combat all you want buddy you want bill little and who are

you I don't know a voice to give me is like you know what I'm the one who

developed the sister-to-sister the transform yeah I've been done by my own

for example you know the Hoenn region this girl Lynette from Hoenn uh never

heard of her may the storage system easier to use my friends all over the

world are working to improve the Pokemon traded storage systems Daario it back to

goldenrod to see my folks bye-bye

this reminds me this is a really specific thing to for it to remind me of

any of you have been to a Disneyland in California and rode Star Tours there's

this on the pre like the be safe when you ride this ride

at the end of it the robot lady always goes buh-bye it's really funny and and

most of it like I say 90% of the time I go on that ride because I loved it I'm

actually gonna be going again pretty pretty soon but uh every time I go on it

everyone in the ride as soon as that happens they they all go behind and it's

like how is this a universal joke also yeah where's the Martin that's what I

was gonna say great Oh God the Martin music is so good that's underrated jim

sund underrated jam come on and slam all right title Tata get up they're

gonna get you want to get the other encounters yeah okay which one do you

want to go for first do you want to go for the burn tower I forgot about the

burnt our well I went this way I mean outside of this episode

encounters and counters and counters a Sidra I wish you were not water type if

it involves I got to find the friggin thing for it you know ball hey stay in

that ball when I tell you to stay in that ball you balls there's an arena

that's female if it's all grey like that that it's female what what is he doing

in this episode hello I guess I'm just gonna be getting all the Reggie's today

what not least I'm gonna try okay all right well fire is definitely

still not very effective against it I'm gonna burn him mega kick that did I feel

like such a jerk what did I name my last Sidra oh please don't die

oh he's gonna die to burn oh well I'm gonna start this pair sorry about that

guy cool I want to name you I'm gonna name you sorry because I don't remember

your name and I feel really bad I had one last time I played white 2 and I

everyone loved it I loved her and then she died somehow spoiler alert yeah but

uh I don't remember her name and I feel bad look at them Jam it out in the

bottom don't walk too far up to the right because that's gonna trigger

silver encounter okay and I mean we can do it if you want I don't know if we're

ready though I mean well what are we gonna do and I'm gonna grind anymore

can we not with the water types holy crap male Milotic okay that's a little

big so that's a male I need a female I need a female this time I'm not gonna

burn you know what there we go female bull pigs okay in the ball Hey all right

what's my lettuce catcher 800 I don't know if I can catch you Vulpix why

please don't be a physical attack okay it used belly drum cycle okay gives you

your berry back okay I'm just gonna keep recycling cuz I don't want to kill him

okay please stay in the ball Vulpix bro-bro as the kids say because it's too

hard to just say bro okay dude stay in the ball I shouldn't hide okay I'm

really scared about max attack anything I don't care what you think you'll fuck

it I think so don't make me I'm already so hungry I don't know I must have I

wonder what I named my last ball picks was probably a lowland because I haven't

had a Vulpix normal ball picks in a while and the mozilla is like too easy

right what yeah you know what I'm gonna call you Steve oh nice

I'm gonna call you Lana fell cool you really don't have anything in not

anything to do with lineThe oh but whatever plus attack nature so that

belied room was actually kind of scary

probably a good idea this probably I've heard a good idea so do we want to I

think we should do one more thing in this episode should we run all the way

back and get the bill Pokemon or should we fight our rival

I'm kind of in the mood just for some more encounters you are you all think so

yeah all right let me go ahead and deposit our boys here we'll just have a

nice episode full of Pokemon and Pokemon a poke yeah I mean it we should make up

for the last step so are we both well yeah we'd we did lose I mean I the only

one that lost a pair yeah I guess not I suppose not you know event this series

is most likely just going to be us just getting Pokemon after pokemon cycling

through teams until we both oh and so we both get somebody that has really high

stats in both defenses and then we just can't lose yeah like hopefully we don't

cycle through Pokemon I don't want to but you know I just remembered that I

forgot to to do yeah no I forgot to uh what is this yo reg you rock hey

4-series why is he showing up molt there Reggie there's been like three Reggie's

in this episode that's crazy that's

stiff nature whoa look at those stats adaptability good what wow that's

actually pretty seedy how many water moves no but I have skull bash tail

faint attack and toxic I have only physical moves and that's actually a

good thing Wow look at her physical is pretty good

his that's pretty good Pokemon unfortunately we already have a you mean

wow really attached aren't you Hank is Bill's house I don't remember it's all

the way on the corner I don't know it's like yeah don't you

have to go through like the tunnel or whatever no no there are battles down

here okay I guess I guess I'll go the other way then when I'm out of here

winding I okay just any time explosion is a thing even if they're weak like

it's no nice dude uh II just reset it I guess hard to save any time that's a

thing it's scary because that's even when it's like a weak Pokemon did that

thing have contrary what did it just use uh uh it's scary because it's like 300

power like why did they even make that move yeah well I guess you're you good

you got your hard save going yeah sorry I was just figuring out where is my

reset button where am I headed isn't it was like through here it is

through here okay it's pretty easy to get to people are quite mad at me hello

bill take this Evie it's not an Eevee though

okay so let's take care of it but only being outside okay hey don't hit the hay

all right ready three two one yes LaCie on is that a pair Ison poison

I think so yeah they are both male but there's nothing we can do about that I'm

a call I'm a call oh wait dang it now I can't call it mom shout out to

mystic but oh man know what I'm gonna call him icy

ice ice ice I felt ice tea bubble 5 you know I'm

just gonna close you a shout out to my favorite rappers so in honor of an a

pair that may have died a couple of us so but a pair that may have died a

couple of episodes ago Shaku the arbok now we have shocked two

of the should have the same Wow sludge bomb and power jamish aku must

have like forgotten these by the time I got him Oh ever modest nature is that

good dang it that's terrible what do

twenty-four physical attack a low five is insane though yeah I know lowly with

the with the modest downgrade nothing's gonna go up 20 levels oh and that's a

hundred dude that's that is a crazy powerful Pokemon breaker if that thing

has speed at all that's a crazy powerful Pokemon and we already know Shaku has

crazy special attack and spear to so yeah that's that's awesome alright yeah

cuz I mean yeah we don't have any other poison types I also I need to look up I

need to also tell them this uh so as you may know tadow Tata can only evolve if I

if it learns ancient power and that's probably not gonna happen so I at

whatever level the cap is I think it's like 30-something I whenever I hit that

level I'm just going to go ahead and change Tata Tata into a ten growth it

seems fair to me because otherwise there's no way for the poor little boy

to evolve thirty or thirty something that's around there I'm pretty sure okay

well whenever it learns ancient power you can just evolve it then oh yeah yeah

it's not gonna learn a Jif how has the problem yeah I know no but I'm saying

whatever level tang glow was supposed to yeah alright another we've done this has

been a rather long episode maybe a little over time but that's fine so I

assume you're about ready to end this hand see we've got we got rival battles

we've got gym battles that's gonna be crazy like ease back into having actual

📝 EAUZ & Ducka Shan - Somebody (feat. Becca Krueger) Lyrics

I think about you all the time How we would feel if you were mine

I know, I should've tried to move on Waited, we even go this wrong

Now I'm stuck wondering if we would have made it

And I'm still wondering, wondering

If you found somebody new Have you found somebody new?

Are you telling me the truth?

Have you found somebody new?

Have you?

We used to be so in tune Nobody could tell us what to do

Now I, feeling so insecure Without you, I don't feel so sure

Now I wish that I knew if we would have made it

And I wish that I knew

If you found somebody new Have you found somebody new?

Are you telling me the truth?

Have you found somebody new?

Have you?

Have you, have you Found somebody, somebody new

But I knew from present time, It's over now Do we lose if we just give it one more chance?

I find it hard to keep chasing But my heart is broken

But I miss you so much that was always chosen Have you?

My door's always open Have you, have you

Peace out.

Bye.

BREAKING: Most Popular Chip Brand In U.S. Just Issued HUGE Warning – DO NOT Eat & Throw Away NOW - Duration: 3:41.

In a shocking alert that was issued overnight, one of the country's most loved chip brands

issued an alarming warning about their most popular products that are currently being

sold in stores everywhere.

The major concern is that these chips are in millions of Americans' homes right now

and for some who already opened the bag, it could be too late.

Here's what you need to know.

Before you grab a handful of savory chips to snack on today, you need to check to see

if your flavor of choice is one that Frito-Lay is saying to throw away immediately.

Avoid consuming them at all cost as the warning out now is that people are at huge risk of

becoming violently ill from this salty snack.

"This is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the

use of the product can cause serious, adverse heath consequences," America's Freedom

Fighters reported.

The chips are affected by a bacteria no commonly associated with dry goods, as it's typically

a concern among raw meat.

However, Frito-Lay is alerting customers to the risk of Salmonella poisoning in the seasoning

on Jalapeño Flavored Lay's Kettle Cooked Potato Chips and Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie's

Kettle Cooked Potato Chips.

Here are the following symptoms to be aware of if these chips have recently been consumed:

According to WebMD, "People infected with the bacteria may have nausea, vomiting, and

diarrhea — sometimes with fever.

Other symptoms may include headache, abdominal cramps, and loss of appetite.

These symptoms usually start within 12 to 72 hours after infection.

They last for 4 to 7 days."

If you or a loved one experiences any of these symptoms, it's crucial that you seek medical

attention immediately.

"Waiting it out" will only amplify the infection and make it more difficult to treat.

The risk of Salmonella is exclusive to these two specifics chips noted above — no other

flavors or varieties are part of this recall.

The infected seasoning wasn't produced by Frito-Lay, rather is came from a third-party

distributor who provides it for the chip company.

It's unknown how many bags were affected, however, the decision to issue a nationwide

recall was done so as a responsible safety precaution on Frito-Lay's part to protect

their valued customers.

Below is Frito-Lay's official recall notice for immediate release from the FDA:

April 21, 2017

Frito-Lay today announced it is voluntarily recalling select Jalapeño Flavored Lay's

Kettle Cooked potato chips and Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie's Kettle Cooked potato chips

due to the potential presence of Salmonella in the seasoning.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in

young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody),

nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the

bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected

aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

This action is the direct result of a supplier's recent recall of a seasoning blend which includes

jalapeño powder that could contain Salmonella.

Although no Salmonella was found in the seasoning supplied to Frito-Lay, the company has decided

to recall these products out of an abundance of caution.

No illness related to this matter has been confirmed to date.

if you turn on the switch 27, the air is warm. but if you turn on the heater even in the movement is not at maximum, the air goes cold. I don't know why

iPhone X - 25 Things You NEED To Know Before Buying!

I'd rather watch it fullscreen but it bothers me that that sensor housing will

get in the way so that's something to consider it could be one of those things

you get used to very easily but I just don't know another con is that you can

only put in one face for the face ID this won't apply to everyone but I'm

sure some people maybe share a phone or maybe they're a parent and their kid has

access or they have access to their kids phone but you can't do that you can only

have one face so that won't affect everyone but that's definitely something

to consider if you're someone who does sheriff own or want multiple people to

have access to your phone it's no unearthing so good luck go those

girlfriends and boyfriends trying to snoop on their significant others

because that's not gonna happen you literally need their face another

difference is the reach ability and what I mean by that is like when you look at

the phone and you're holding it with one hand your ability to be able to reach

from the top to the bottom every app or any of the scrolling is going to be

compromised with the iPhone 10 and the reason for that is that the notification

bar is now going to be on the top left you have to pull all the way down from

the top left of the phone so if you're holding with one hand and you can't

necessarily reach the top that's gonna be annoying and you have to use your

other hand and Sam goes with the control center the control center that you now

swipe up to it is going to be swiping down from the

very top on the right hand corner so it's not a huge deal but it is a factor

and I mean I know people with the pluses probably already had to deal with this

but if you have little small hands like it might be hard and it's definitely

just something to consider so those were all of my thoughts on the iPhone 10 in a

nutshell I know I ran through those super super quickly I just wanted to get

that out there in the most basic form possible and you guys can leave me

questions let's start a conversation about this I'm super curious as to what

you guys think of this are you guys going to get the iPhone 10 are you not

are you even iPhone users or do you just like watching videos like this let me

know your thoughts I'm thinking of pre-ordering the iPhone 10 myself but

the more I watch more more videos I don't know if I want to I may want to

get the eight plus and then wait until the second generation iPhone 10 I'm keep

wanting to say X but I haven't decided let me know down below what you guys

think I hope you guys enjoyed this video remember I'll leave my other iPhone

video playlist down below be sure to click on those subscribe if you haven't

already give this video a thumbs up if you liked it and I'll see you in my next

video love you so much bye

iPhone X vs Galaxy Note 8 vs Oneplus 5 Benchmark Battle - A11 vs SD 835 vs Exynos 8895 who

wins?

iPhone X's A11 crushes top Android competition in Geekbench

The iPhone X did another quick run of Geekbench to solidify itself as the fastest smartphone

around.

Apple's upcoming flagship scored even more than it did last time and trounces all the

top smartphones around.

Granted benchmarks aren't great at making cross-platform comparisons, but the difference

is still impressive.

The A11 Bionic chipset has nearly doubled the single-core score of the A10 Fusion, which

was already ahead of the Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 Octa.

Interestingly the A11 Bionic has the highest multi-core score, a first for an Apple chip.

Apple's A11 Bionic has a six-core processor with two high-powered cores and four power-efficient

ones.

But where it differs the most from its A10 Fusion predecessor is in its ability to run

all six cores simultaneously - the A10 Fusion could only run one cluster at a time - either

the fast or the efficient cores.

The iPhone X also has 3GB of RAM - the same as the iPhone 7 Plus and 8 Plus and more than

the 2GB iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 - more than enough for a smooth experience on iOS.

Its all screen.

Face ID lets you unlock with a look.

Portrait Lighting lets you define the light in a scene.

Wireless charging.

Augmented reality.

A11 Bionic, the most powerful and smartest chip ever in a smartphone.

This is iPhone X.

Say hello to the future.

Apple pulled off yet another one more thing after it unveiled the iPhone 8 at its big

launch event at the new Steve Jobs Theater.

Details of the iPhone X or 10 have been leaked and rumoured for ages, and now it is real.

It is being hailed as the future of the smartphone, according to Apple anyway.

This new phone is a big shift from the way Apple has designed all its previous iPhones,

which makes it very interesting.

Here's our first look.

10 Lesser-Known US Conflicts - Duration: 9:38.

10 Lesser-Known US Conflicts

The United States is a country thanks to one of the most well-known conflicts in history: the American Revolution.

Yet the United States continued to be involved in military matters at home and abroad for centuries to come, many of which arent taught at all in American schools.

10. Fiji Expeditions

There were two Fiji expeditions: the first in 1855 and the second in 1859. The first expedition responded to damages on American property that occurred during the Fijian civil war.

A US warship with a detachment of marines was sent to obtain compensation from Seru Cakobau, the self-proclaimed king of Fiji. When Cakobau couldn't pay, troops clashed with native warriors and successfully routed them.

The second expedition was ordered after two American traders were killed and cannibalized by natives on the Fijian island of Waya.

A force of 10 marines and 40 sailors was dispatched, armed with carbines and swords as well as one 12-pounder howitzer cannon. The plan was to attack the mountain village of Somatti, forcing the natives into combat.

The commander of the expedition, Lt.

Caldwell, wrote in his journal, It was a novel undertaking to assault and destroy a mountain tribe in their stronghold with a party of Seamen. The journey up the mountain proved more treacherous than the group had anticipated, and they were forced to abandon the howitzer.

Once they reached the village, they found the natives waiting for them ready to fight.

A pitched battle ensued, in which the expeditionary forces successfully defeated a force of nearly 300 Wayan warriors, mostly armed with clubs and bows, in what became known as the Battle of Somatti.

9. Barbary Wars

The Barbary Wars occurred in the early 19th century and was fought between the United States and what was referred to as the Barbary states. These were the North African Muslim states and cities such as Tripoli and Algiers, which were technically under control of the Ottomans but acted relatively autonomously.

Problems arose when pirates from these areas began to attack US merchant ships and demanded tribute from the United States in exchange for safe passage.

Following the American Revolution, the United States did not have the navy presence or the funds necessary to raise a navy capable of repelling the pirates, so instead, they paid tribute.

However, these payments only encouraged the pirates to capture more American ships, taking their crews hostage. Things changed when, under the presidencies of Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, the United States refused to pay.

By this point, the US Navy was a more capable fighting force, and naval fleets were sent into the Mediterranean to fight the pirates and protect American merchant ships. The operations were successful, and the threat of piracy was greatly reduced.

8. The Moro Rebellion

In the wake of the Spanish-American War, the Spanish ceded the Philippines to the United States in 1899. Most Filipinos were not happy about occupation, and several armed conflicts broke out.

In the southern Philippines, one group known as the Moros was particularly troublesome. The Moros were Muslim Filipinos who had a long history of resisting imperialism.

The Americans tried to assimilate them and put an end to some Moro practices they saw as unacceptable, such as slavery. The Moros openly resisted, and from 1901–1913, the Moro Rebellion raged.

They often fortified mountains and volcanoes and were prone to launch berserker-type attacks.

The Rebellion officially ended in 1913 after a particularly bloody battle known as the Battle of Bud Bagsac, in which the American troops killed all 500 Moros defending the mountain of Bagsac.

Brigadier General John Pershing, the commander of the US troops, described the battle of Bud Bagsac, saying, The fighting was the fiercest I have ever seen.

they [Moros] are absolutely fearless, and once committed to combat, they count death as a mere incident..

7. The Korean Expedition

In 1871, a US Navy squadron was sent to Korea to establish trade relations and investigate the fate of the American ship General Sherman. The General Sherman was a merchant ship conducting business in Korea.

In 1866, after accidently grounding, it was attacked by the Koreans, and its crew were massacred. The Navy squadron was subsequently fired upon by a Korean fort for unknown reasons.

The United States demanded an apology within 10 days, and when none came, an assault was launched. The Koreans had several forts and shoreline batteries along the Gangwha Strait that proved to be easy targets for the attacking forces.

The Navy shelled and assaulted these fortifications, taking them with relative ease due to the outdated weaponry of the Koreans. The largest battle took place on June 10, when US troops attacked and captured the Gangwha Citadel.

Close-quarter fighting ensued, leaving hundreds of Koreans dead. The US troops left, and by 1882, friendly relations were opened once again.

6. The Invasion Of Grenada

In 1983, a communist coup took place on the Caribbean island nation of Grenada. The coup was supported by Cuba, who sent troops to help take control of the country.

In the wake of the power struggle, the new communist government suspended civil rights and began to take political prisoners.

The Reagan administration, opposed to the spread of communism and concerned for the safety of 600 US medical students in the country, launched a military intervention.

Several Rangers, Navy SEALs, and marines were quickly deployed to take control of the island. In total, about 6,000 troops were involved. The communist resistance was defeated in a matter of days, and Grenada returned to democratic elections in 1984.

5. The Quasi War

During the American Revolutionary War, the French monarchy loaned large sums of money to the Americans to fight the British, with the understanding that the Americans would slowly pay it back over time.

However, in 1794, the French monarchy was toppled by the French Revolution, and the American government stopped the payments. Angered by this, the new French Republic began attacking and capturing US merchant ships.

In 1798, after attempts at negotiation failed, the United States deployed its navy to combat the French threat, thus beginning the Quasi War.

For the next two years, the two nations battled each other on the high seas throughout the Atlantic and the Caribbean. Hostilities concluded in 1800 with the signing of the Convention of 1800.

4. The Battle Of Ambos Nogales

In the early 20th century, tensions were high at the Mexican-US border. Skirmishes between US troops and Mexican bandits and Mexican troops had led to an increased military presence on the border.

The publication of the Zimmermann Telegraph, a proposed alliance between Germany and Mexico, only served to heighten American anxieties.

Things boiled over on August 27, 1918, when a dispute between Mexican and US custom agents broke into an all-out battle in the town of Nogales, right on the border with both US and Mexican residents.

The fighting was chaotic but ended only hours later when a ceasefire was called by the two governments. Many people on both sides died or were wounded in the battle.

3. The Samoan Civil Wars

Between 1886 and 1899, the islands of Samoa in the Pacific Ocean were locked in a series of civil wars over who was to be king.

The United States, Britain, and Germany all had vested interests in Samoa for commercial and territorial reasons and became involved in the conflict, each sending several warships.

This resulted in a naval standoff over who had control of the islands, for years known as the Samoan Crisis..

During the Second Samoan Civil War, the United States and Britain fought alongside Samoan troops against German-backed Samoan rebels, who wished to make Mata'afa Iosefo their king.

After a series of battles and skirmishes, the United States, Britain, and Germany came to an agreement in 1899 known as the Tripartite Convention, in which they abolished the Samoan monarchy.

Samoa was subsequently divided, with the Eastern Islands becoming US territory and the Western islands becoming a German colony.

2. The Utah War

Since the founding of Mormonism in 1830, the group often found itself in conflict with the United States government.

In 1847, after a series of particularly violent episodes in Missouri and Illinois, many Mormons under the direction of their leader Brigham Young began to move west in hopes that isolation would secure their religious freedom.

Thousands settled in the what is today Utah. In 1850, Congress created the Utah Territory and appointed Brigham Young as its first governor.

In 1857, newly elected president James Buchanan found the power Young had over the Mormons unsettling and ordered his removal from office. Afraid of resistance, he sent 2,500 troops to the territory to ease the transition.

However, this only increased tensions. In response, Young raised a sizeable militia and began to terrorize the US troops by burning their supplies and stealing their cattle.

Open conflict between the two sides almost broke out several times. However, the war ended in 1858 after Buchanan and Young agreed to terms of peace.

1. The Battle Of Negro Fort

During the early 19th century, an old British fort on the frontier of northern Spanish Florida became a place of refuge for black freedmen and escaped slaves.

The fort, which became known as Negro Fort, and the area around it was home to nearly 800 black men, women, and children.

Many Americans, including President Andrew Jackson, saw this escaped slave colony as a threat to the very institution of slavery.

On July 17, 1816, the garrison of the fort ambushed an American gunboat in the area, killing all but one of the crew. After hearing this, Jackson ordered the fort to be destroyed.

Before the battle began, the American general in command called for the fort and its inhabitants to surrender. The freedmen refused, finding it better to fight and die than return to slavery.

The red flag signaling that no quarter would be given was raised above the fort, and the battle began on July 27.

Despite the bravery of the defendants, the battle ended quickly when a shot from a Navy gunboat hit the fort's powder storage, causing a massive explosion. This killed almost everyone in the fort and effectively ended the battle.

In his report, the American commander Col. Clinch wrote, The explosion was awful and the scene horrible beyond description..
