Youtube daily report w Sep 6 2017

What is the purpose of philosophy?

Well, not to help me walk on water; in fact I am sensibly

using this dock instead, but it does help with many other, and potentially more useful,

things than walking on water. It's a form of wisdom, a form of knowledge

about totality, it is so very many things; a basis for reasoning and surreal ideas,

that obviously it is not possible to illustrate each of them easily.

However, they can be combined into one coherent history, at least that is what

we try to do: narrate Philosophy as a sort of family novel

that begins 2500 years ago on the sea, on the Turkish coast, and then

moves forward, and is seemingly still carrying on. We tried to isolate here four

main epochs: The first one is the era of ancient and medieval philosophy

when the world seems to be something given to the people, and they

relate to the world trying to understand what it is,

as if it were - if not eternal - at least independent of them.

Then, with modernity there is a turning point, and people began to think, from

the 14th and 15th century, that philosophy is a human construction.

It is Men, with their projects, with their calculations, like the scientists,

who build the world and determine what reality is.

Then there is another era still - that includes the 19th and 20th centuries - when

philosophers begin to wonder: if the world is built

by men, maybe they could also try to deconstruct it, i.e.

to repair what seems to be going wrong in the world. And so this is the

third era of philosophy: the idea of philosophy as a revolution or, to use

a somewhat more modern term, as deconstruction. Philosophy is never

complete, unless we simply look at its history. So there will always be

another part, which is not prophetic, but simply tries to understand what

we can expect from philosophy today.

I would encourage, and recommend, you to do this course. I mean,

it won't do you any harm, and is certainly worth doing.

Katie Price's mum: I can't die until you've sorted your life out - Duration: 2:52.

Katie Price's mum: I can't die until you've sorted your life out

TRAGIC: Katie's dying mum has vowed to stay alive until her daughters life is back on track.

Tragic Amy Price has been told she may have just three years to live after being diagnosed with an incurable lung disease. The pair gave an emotional interview on Loose Women yesterday, when Katie admitted: "It hasn't hit me yet.

She looks so healthy." Amy, 64, revealed she was worried about Katie's welfare after the model's marriage to Kieran Hayler fell apart. She said: "I'm not going to peg off until she's settled.

"I think it's about time you got yourself together properly and took life more seriously and be settled." Katie's life is in turmoil after she found out sex addict Kieran enjoyed a year-long fling with their nanny.

She has now revealed the torment came just days after she lost their unborn baby.

EMOTIONAL: Amy Price has been told she may have just three years to live. She said: "On the Monday I had the miscarriage. Four days later I found out, now this one.".

Amy Price Katie has delayed the Brighton date of her one-woman show as she battles to get her life in order. Her telly appearance came hours after she shocked guests at the TV Choice Awards on Monday.

Katie, 39, threw the night into chaos when she turned up to the bash at London's Dorchester hotel more than two hours late.

She told the crowd: "I was hoping this was going to be the award for the best soap opera. Because I should win that. My life is a real-life soap opera, don't you think?".

Co-host and fellow Loose Women star Linda Robson joked: "Let's hope they make a better choice in soap actor than you do with husbands, eh love?" Katie replied: "I actually agree.

For once I am single." Fellow host Richard Osman then stepped in to get things back on track and Katie moaned: "See what I mean, I always get bloody told off.".

SPLIT: The model's marriage to Kieran Hayler recently came to an end.

The award went to Emmerdale's Ryan Hawley for his performance as Robert Sugden. After announcing his win, Katie shouted: "He'd better be good looking." She then added: "He's actually really fit.

GORGEOUS: Katie leaves the TV Choice Awards on Monday. Katie was later spotted enjoying an intimate clinch with Love Island hunks Dom Lever and Alex Bowen. Onlookers watched as the lads both put their hands around her waist at the same time.

One guest said: "She was joking they should have a threesome together." Katie's show Loose Women was nominated in the daytime category but lost out to This Morning.

Coping Tips For Empaths | Conscious Reminder - Duration: 10:40.

Coping Tips For Empaths

Being an empath can be physically and emotionally draining.

Many people are unaware that they're an empath and do not know how to cope with this ability.

Develop Your Shield Body

Around your physical body, there is a layer of your aura that is devoted to your interface with your environment.

Its shape and condition indicate your relationship to your world.

People who are empaths often have a "thin skin" in relation to their shield body.

When it has holes in it, we are more easily influenced by our environment.

Visualize a shield of energy around your physical body.

See it as being radiant and complete.

You may see it as a particular color.

Some people like to see it as white or gold.

Decide what color would work well for you, and see it that way.

Imagine the shield body as flowing and moving, not static.

We are developing a shield here, not armor.

It is good for it to be flexible, so you can let in what serves you, and keep out what doesn't.

Snap your fingers to hold it in place.

Do this exercise regularly.

Center of Being

Once you have the shield body in place, imagine that there is a spark in the center of your being that is your pure

essence.

Focus your attention on the spark, bring all your senses to bear.

Also be aware of your sensations, emotions and thoughts.

First try this when you are alone, and then, after a time, practice it around others.

See if you can switch your awareness from your environment to your self, and back again.

Notice the difference between the two.

Don't Take On Responsibilities That Aren't Yours

A person can get so used to care taking that they can feel as though they are supposed to do it.

You are not.

It is good to be as compassionate as possible without going beyond the limits of what you need to do to maintain your

health and sanity.

You are responsible up to that line, and not beyond it.

If you are an empath, your idea of where the line is might be a bit fuzzy.

Once you get to know where the line is, try to stick to it.

It will make all your relationships clearer and cleaner.

Get Used To Being the Bad Guy

empathsEmpaths are often outwardly kind and caring.

They usually get the benefit of everyone thinking that they are almost saintly sometimes.

It is easy to get attached to being the "nice guy." It is not easy dealing with people's negative emotions,

but care-taking others does not ultimately serve them or you.

It does not help them to protect them from their feelings.

It keeps them from growing up.

Besides, it's not real.

It's much better to live in reality than a padded reality.

Yes, they may get angry or sad at you or with you if you don't do what they want you to do,

but it is important to remember that their feelings are not your feelings,

and your well-being is not dependent on their well being.

Develop Your Throat Chakra

Sometimes an empath will know what they need to say or do to make good boundaries,

but have a hard time following through in expressing it.

The throat chakra is the center for the expression of personal truth.

Through the opening of the throat chakra, we open ourselves to expressing our true needs and feelings,

as well as expressing the creative force as it moves through us.

Some good exercises for opening the throat chakra are singing and chanting,

sharing your feelings and thoughts with friends, and meditating on the throat chakra.

Some healing stones that help with the throat chakra are chrysacolla, turquoise, lapis lazuli, amazonite,

and blue lace agate.

You can meditate with them, put them in a medicine bag, or wear jewelry (particularly necklaces).

Develop Your Root Chakra

The root chakra helps us to deal with being fully in the world.

When the root chakra is open, we are fully grounded and present with whatever is coming our way.

When it is not open, we can be disassociative, fearful, and have difficulty staying present with what is going on.

Opening and healing the root chakra helps us to release the fears that keep us from our highest manifestation within

form.

Some exercises that help to open the root chakra are:

Imagine you are sending roots down into the earth from your base.

Imagine you can breathe in and out of your root center.

On the inhale, breathe in energy from the earth.

On the exhale, release any thing that is within you that does not serve you out of the root center and into the Earth.

Some healing stones that you might find helpful are:

obsidian

Kansas pop rocks

hematite

red jasper

Smudging And Clearing Regularly

Whether you are having difficulty with your empathic abilities or not,

it is a good idea to smudge yourself regularly to release other people's energy and influence from your energy body.

Smudging is a way to clear your energy by waving incense around your body.

Sage, copal, frankincense, and Palo Santo are all recommended.

Other good clearing methods are: showering, bathing and spending time in solitude.

Take a Clary Sage bath

This is the single most effective thing you can do to clear all that emotional funk away.

And I do mean bath – a shower doesn't permeate in the same manner.

You don't need candles or anything else, just a nice hot bath and some privacy.

Give it a good 15 minutes and you will feel much, much better.

I recommend it before going to bed, as you can carry all that crap through your sleep and still wake up with it,

otherwise.

If you can't find sage bubble bath, it's ok, anything will work, I just really love the sage.

Breathe

Wherever you are, stop what you're doing for 5 minutes and just breathe.

You should be inhaling through the nose and from the diaphragm.

Slowly.

And then you should be exhaling slowly, through the lips – don't just open your mouth and blow it all out.

Pretend you're blowing on a cup of hot coffee; that's the kind of blowing you want.

Slow and steady.

Imagine that each time you inhale you are drawing all that crap up to the surface,

and then expelling it when you exhale.

If you practice, that will be precisely what you learn to do, eventually.

Do not overdo it initially – deep breathing can release all kinds of emotional junk you weren't previously cognizant

of, and that will just make you feel worse.

Really, really worse.

So take it slow until you're more skilled at it.

A few deep breaths is enough when you're just learning.

us open : American teen Gauff impresses in junior Slam debut ( Tuesday, September 05, 2017 ) . - Duration: 2:21.

In many ways, Cori "Coco" Gauff is your typical 13-year-old girl.

She likes watching "Dancing with the Stars," listening to Beyonce and playing Temple Run on her cell phone. She giggles when she says he has a love-hate relationship with algebra and spends her free time watching her younger brothers play baseball and flag football

But in many other ways, there's nothing typical about this tennis prodigy, who is already makes waves in the tennis world despite becoming a teenager less than six months ago.

She received a sponsorship deal from Nike when she was 10 years old and trained at Patrick Mourotaglou's tennis academy in France, where she met her idol Serena Williams. Earlier this summer, she led Team USA to the World Junior Tennis

championship in Prostejov, Czech Republic, and on Monday in New York she won her first junior Grand Slam main-draw match in front of more than 200 fans on Court 6 as the US Open entered its second week.

I'm happy they like me," Coco said with a wide smile in a small interview space inside the media center at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. "It was very positive. Even when I lost a point, they were still cheering me on.

I thought I played well. I was happy that I was able to win my first Grand Slam main-draw match. Surprisingly, I wasn't nervous. I settled down and just played it like a regular match. My dad told me to pretend it was a practice match back home and fortunately the crowd was cheering for me very loudly so I'm happy to have them on my side."

As an encore, less than 24 hours later, Coco upset the fifth-ranked junior in the world, Carson Branstine, in straight sets to move into the round of 16.

Despite being just 13 years old, Coco looks, and plays, as though she's much older. A growth spurt over the past year has seen her shoot up four inches to 5-foot-10. With a

wide wingspan and an improved backhand, she's becoming a dangerous threat from either flank behind the baseline. Now, she's focusing on her transition game and her volleys, something that will make her a more well-rounded player

Coco credits her athleticism to her parents, even if her height is definitely from her dad.

I've always been tall for my age," she said. "My mom's 5-5, but my dad's whole side of the family is 6-3 for the men and 5-10 or higher for the girls. Sport runs in my family. If I didn't play tennis, I'd definitely be playing a sport. "

Her dad, Corey, played Atlantic Sun Conference collegiate basketball for the Georgia State Panthers and still holds the school record for most steals in a game, while her mom, Candi, was an elite 110-meter hurdler and, before that, an award-winning dancer and talented gymnast.

Coco started playing tennis when she was 7 years old after deciding she didn't enjoy playing soccer.

I wasn't much of a team person," she says. "I loved tennis. I was so-so about it in the beginning because when I was younger I didn't want to practice at all. I just wanted to play with my friends. When I turned 8, that was when I played 'Little Mo' and after that I decided to do that for the rest of my life."

Little Mo is a national tournament for children 8 years old and under. After winning that, she started playing more matches and more tournaments, growing with confidence as she went. She won the U12 USTA Clay Court Nationals tournament in 2014 and, five

days before Christmas 2016, captured the Girls' 12s Junior Orange Bowl -- a tournament which has included Madison Keys, Laura Siegemund, Sesil Karatantcheva and Tatiana Golovin as past winners.

Playing, and winning, big matches on big stages doesn't faze the teen, who plays with a lot of emotion and handles herself with confidence. While most players would be happy to just be competing in a junior Grand Slam, Coco is setting her sights higher.

Honestly, my dad and I always play a tournament to win it," she said. "Hopefully if I can get to the finals and win the tournament, it would be a good experience, but I'm already proud of myself for making it to the second round."

There were no big celebrations after her first-round win, a 6-2, 7-6 triumph over Serbian 17-year-old Draginja Vukovic, on Court 6, the same court where CiCi Bellis made a name for herself in the main draw as a 14-year-old against Dominika Cibulkova in 2014. Instead, Coco had to complete some homework.

She started online school when she was in third grade and now takes classes through Florida Virtual Flex, an online public school for the state of Florida that allows students

BACK TO SCHOOL - How To Get The Right Mindset to Achieve Your Goals This Year - Duration: 6:09.

hi guys what's up it's Celine here and I'm so happy you found this video and

clicked on this channel which is all about living the life you want to live

and being the kind of person you want to be so if you're interested in that

definitely hit the subscribe button to never miss anything again today it's gonna be

a back-to-school video and yeah I'm not going to school anymore but I was

thinking like how can I contribute to this kind of video section because it's

huge on YouTube, you guys seem to love it it's so helpful I loved it myself in

times of school. I'm gonna be talking about the right mindset to achieve your

goals in school and uni or in general in life. so what I've learned is that

our thoughts and our mind are just most powerful tools we have this is why I

think this is so important as a base for everything and also for achieving and

mainly for achieving what you want to achieve if we're talking about mindset

I'm really sure that every one of you knows like okay this year's going to be

different this year I'm gonna study more this year I'm gonna focus this year

I'm gonna be so tidy and everything's gonna be so pretty and I'm

gonna be on point all the time writing down in classes blah blah blah I'm sure

every one of you does that at least twice a year so there's a difference

between deciding for something and actually going for it or deciding to try

something out until it gets uncomfortable and this is what mostly

happens you decide to be like yeah I'm gonna be so on top of it this year but

as soon as you actually need to get out of your comfort zone and actually need

to push yourself and when it actually gets unpretty you're like "nah". so I'm

gonna talk you guys through how to stick actually to your decision and the first

real important thing is to visualize your goals set them as precise as

possible and imagine yourself to reach them and what it feels like to reach them

what you're actually gonna achieve so a good result in that tests leads to a

better grade good grades lead to I don't know a good job you know like you can

think in little steps and in big steps but do it as precise as possible to make

sure that you actually understand how important it is for yourself because

this is what you need to know it's not just about like yeah I should be better

in school you really need to want to be better in school because of certain

goals you have then it's super important to create a positive vibe towards school

and the whole school topic and uni whatever because when you're like um I

hate school and I hate doing all that stuff

I'm sure karma will do that you need to hate school keep in mind all the

positive things like you friends the subject that interests you so whenever

you think about school work or whatever duty we are talking about right now you

don't automatically fall into that pattern where you're like "oh my god I have like

a funny feeling towards it" but you're like "yeah this is actually a thing I

want, this is actually thing I like" and you can just turn it the way you like it

if you know what I mean like if you don't like this and this and this subject

be like okay at least I have this at least I have a break at least I get to

see my friends and at least I get to do this extra activities in the afternoon

whatever so it's really important to have a positive way of thinking about

school the next point is motivation this is so important I could not stress it

enough motivate yourself by buying pretty

school supplies or even by conditioning and treating yourself like for example

if you get this and that grade in this and that test you're getting some new shoes

or whatever just to motivate yourself find yourself the reason

that you actually really want it. and motivation is so so so important to keep

you stick to your decision and actually go for it and not just like losing your

motivation after like a month or two the next thing is focus you need to focus

and you need to prioritize whenever you are in class at work doing an assessment

study whenever you do something like this give it your full attention and

your full respect because if you're getting distracted and you're doing it

like half-hearted you won't... it won't benefit you at all you won't get your

results you want to have and you won't get this feeling like getting actually

something done and being proud of yourself concentrate and dive really

into what you're doing right now even if you don't like it find things you like

about it and what definitely is part of the right mindset to being back to

school is that you need to disconnect your emotions to your academic success

because your academic success will never ever define who you are learn to love

learning and learn to love school at least certain aspects of it but never

let it make you feel like a failure if you won't achieve what you wanted to

appreciate that you've tried your best and figure out the problem to do it better

next time the last thing about right mindset is definitely believe in

yourself I'm believing in you you need to believe in yourself and I am sure

that you can achieve whatever you want to if you put the right effort and the

right mindset in it and I hope even though it was a real different kind of

back to school video then you usually find on YouTube I hope this is helping

you a lot because it's a really important thing how you think about

things that's just I can't stress that enough

that's just 90% is in your mind keep it in mind that 90 percents in your mind

let me know what you think leave a comment if you like this video give me a

thumbs up otherwise I'll be happy to see in the next video bye bye (and you

probably clicked on this video because you either want to be a vegan

or planning to be one or are one since recently - or even think about it)
