Youtube daily report w Dec 1 2018

Despite being mortal enemies for several decades throughout the Cold War, the new world order

following the fall of the Soviet Union has seen American and Russian special forces conducting

many of the same missions.

Combating common foes that seek to spread radical agendas and promote terrorism, and

acting as the elite vanguard of their nation's forces, just how similar or different are

US and Russian Special Forces?

That's what we'll explore today, in this episode of The Infographics Show- US Special

Forces vs Russian special forces.

Special forces refers to elite military units tasked with unconventional or specially difficult

missions that require great skill and generally engender great risk.

From Sparta's famed 300 who helped thousands of other Greeks hold the line against an invading

Persian horde in ancient Greece, to the infamous Otto Skorzeny and his brilliant raids against

Allied targets during World War II, special forces have always existed in spirit if not

designation throughout human history.

At their core, special forces are nothing more than highly skilled operatives conducting

missions too complicated or difficult for large conventional forces to accomplish, but

it was only after World War II that militaries around the world formally created small elite

units and designated them as 'special forces'.

No matter their country of origin, all special forces hold five basic mission types for which

they are responsible:

Counterinsurgency- though the counterinsurgency role of special operations forces has come

to the limelight in recent years thanks to America's Global War On Terror, the first

heavy use of special forces in counterinsurgency operations came during France's, and then

later, America's war in Vietnam.

Partisans and terrorists have always constituted a major threat to friendly military forces,

and work by undermining any potential gains made by defeating enemy conventional forces.

Partisans and terrorists can be difficult to combat, as they do not wear identifying

uniforms and wage asymmetrical warfare- or irregular warfare- typically from inside friendly

lines.

The need to combat these shadowy threats gave rise to one of SF's most important missions:

counterinsurgency.

Counterinsurgency ops are a mix of law enforcement and military missions, requiring detective

skills to track and locate insurgents and then eliminating or apprehending them.

With the risk of so much collateral damage in terms of civilian casualties, counterinsurgency

is a job best left to special forces rather than conventional forces, and an over-reliance

on conventional forces to do the job in Vietnam is at times attributed for the poor performance

of the US in the war.

Unconventional Warfare- without a doubt the cornerstone of special forces operations,

unconventional warfare, or UW, covers a very wide range of mission types.

These can range from targeted assassination of High Value Targets, or HVTs, disruption

or overthrow of governments, or conducting guerrilla raids deep inside enemy territory.

A special forces icon, Major Benjamin Tallmadge fought the British during the American Revolutionary

War, and was famed for leading raids deep into enemy territory and striking at British

supply trains, burning them to the ground or stealing the supplies to bring back to

American forces greatly in need of arms and ammunition.

Frowned upon at the time by his military contemporaries, specially other American officers who viewed

his execution of war as 'improper', Major Tallmadge has become a hero to the American

SF community, and a template for special forces doctrine for centuries to come.

Direct Action- Direct Action missions can be best described by a motto familiar to many

American soldiers: "Our job is to kill the enemy and break his sitt."

Ranging from seizing and capturing high value personnel, materials or locations, to outright

destruction of enemy assets, Direct Action engagements are very high intensity and very

brief duration engagements meant to surprise an enemy and hit them where and when they

are least expecting it.

This is another area where special forces shine over the use of conventional forces-

with smaller unit sizes and more specialized skill sets, special forces are able to move

much more quickly and thus strike in much more unexpected ways or times than larger,

less maneuverable conventional forces.

Foreign Internal Defense- Foreign internal defense missions involve special operations

forces training and equipping foreign allied military forces.

Different than Security Force Assistance missions, Foreign Internal Defense ops are more geared

at aiding allied foreign forces to combat insurgency, terrorism, and even disrupting

enemy special forces missions against them.

Today in Korea, American Special Forces regularly train with their South Korean counterparts

to respond to and eliminate the threat from North Korean special forces- and with an estimated

special forces strength of over 200,000 soldiers, South Korea faces a huge security challenge

in the event of war from North Korea's most elite soldiers.

Special Reconnaissance- Special Reconnaissance missions are a major part of where American

SF forces earn the nickname "the quiet professionals".

Typically consisting of very small unit sizes, SR missions are meant to collect information

deep in hostile or politically sensitive territory, with the explicit goal that the unit's presence

is never detected.

Because Valuable intelligence can be rendered worthless if an enemy realizes it's been discovered,

SR missions require the utmost stealth and secrecy.

Sometimes SR missions can be carried out in extremely politically sensitive situations,

necessitating the complete disavowal of any involvement by the nation conducting them-

this means that any discovered or captured operatives may be completely on their own,

making SR missions some of the riskiest a special forces operative can undertake.

Security Force Assistance- Security Force Assistance operations involve the use of special

forces to coordinate with friendly allied militaries and aid them with training and

developing military doctrine.

Long a hallmark of US Army Rangers, SFA operations may range from making contact with guerillas

deep in enemy territory, or simply a deployment to an allied, less developed nation that needs

help establishing a proficient military force.

So with similar missions, and in recent times with similar terrorist enemies, how do US

and Russian special forces compare to each other?

With the vast amount of their operations kept secret for decades, it is impossible to ascertain

which force is more effective than the other as there simply exists few if any true comparison

points.

Also due to the difference in ideology and doctrine, US and Russian special forces may

undertake many of the same types of missions, but can vary widely in how and why they conduct

them.

The old adage of apples and oranges may apply aptly here.

However, we can look at some major similarities and differences between the two.

Both nations operate a number of different units under the general designation of 'special

forces', who's missions and training can vary dramatically.

On the whole though one of the major differences between US and Russian special forces is the

composition of their units.

American Special Forces tend to adhere to a doctrine of skill specialization, in which

each member of a team has a unique specialty and numerous and overlapping sub-specialties.

For instance, one team member will be the team medic, but will also have training in

communications and demolitions- though his primary job is to serve as medic.

Russian special forces tend to favor a more general approach without unique specializations,

which is why on the whole Russian special forces are more focused on the direct action

mission of special operations- a deficiency identified in modern times that has seen some

expansion in training for Russian operators.

While select American special forces such as Army Rangers and Navy SEALS share a similar

and more narrow focus, the American special forces community as a whole is a far more

flexible organism than Russian special forces, able to undertake a greater variety of missions

and bringing more varied disciplines to the table.

The narrower focus of Russian special forces is an unfortunate holdover of the Soviet era,

when the Soviet military forced their special operations forces to focus almost myopically

on the destruction of NATO missiles and high value targets in the case of war.

Another major difference between US and Russian special forces is a general disregard for

collateral damage by Russian operators, who are more concerned with results than public

perception.

One famous example is the response to the kidnapping of four Soviet diplomats in 1985

by the Muslim Brotherhood, conducted in retaliation for Soviet support of Syrians.

Dispatching the KGB's Alpha Group, the Russian operatives arrived in Beirut, Lebanon just

as one of the hostages was executed.

Rather than moving to rescue the remaining hostages, Russian operators instead tracked

down and took hostage several family members of the terrorists, torturing and dismembering

them and sending body parts to the terrorists.

The tactic worked and the remaining hostages were released, and no Russian diplomats were

molested again for two decades in the Middle East.

Yet while Russia's adoption of brutal tactics may have been effective in this specific case,

it comes at a major cost of public perception, and could in fact backfire by raising public

anger against Russia.

Russia's ongoing difficulties with Chechnya is believed to be compounded by brutal retaliatory

measures by Russian security forces.

Preferring the hammer to the surgical knife though is a long hallmark of Russian military

doctrine, and further evidenced by the slow adoption of precision-guided munitions by

a military that prefers to intimidate via overwhelming firepower without much regard

to collateral damage.

This doctrine would once more come into play during the Moscow Theater hostage crisis of

October, 2002, when 850 hostages were taken by Chechen terrorists.

After two and a half days of stand-off and no concessions from either side, Russian special

forces pumped an as-yet undisclosed gas into the building and initiated an assault which

would see all 40 terrorists killed, but as an adverse reaction to the mystery gas, 130

hostages also died.

When Islamic militants took several hundred school children and teachers hostage in Beslan

in September, 2004, Russian special forces once more laid siege to the hostage takers.

After a furious firefight all of the terrorists were killed, but so were 186 children and

20 Russian operators- though witnesses reported that many of the Russians died or were wounded

trying to heroically shield children from the fighting.

Striving for decades to build a safer and more structured world order in order to avoid

the mistakes of pre-World War II Europe, the US has for a long time sought to preserve

its identity as a global leader- recent Presidential election notwithstanding.

Knowing that such heavy-handed tactics as Russia's would endanger that perception, US

special operation forces are more focused on avoiding unnecessary deaths and obeying

Rules of Engagement.

While this may at times perhaps limit their effectiveness in a given situation, it does

preserve a generally positive perception of American special forces which has made them

welcome in nations around the world as they aid allies and regional partners such as the

Philippines in combating their own terrorist threats or improving the capabilities of their

military.

American SF doctrine of maintaining a 'light footprint' effect however does come with a

cost, and in the last two decades they have suffered significant casualties in their efforts

to combat terrorism around the world.

It is impossible to truly determine which force is better than the other without directly

pitting the two nations in open conflict, which thankfully has never happened.

However, from the bold parachute raids behind German lines into occupied Soviet territory

in World War II, to daring attacks against British supply lines during the American Revolutionary

War, both Russian and American special forces share a common heritage of courage and professionalism.

Though they may differ in doctrine and ideology, ultimately both Russian and American special

forces have one similar job: kill the enemy and break his sitt.

So, which do you think is a better approach- Russian doctrine of overwhelming force, or

America's precise surgical strikes?

Which would you rather serve with?

Soup Kitchen! Vlogmas Day 1 - Duration: 3:41.

Hi, everyone! My name is Stephanie and today I'm going to be taking you along

with me as much as I can. My youth group is actually going to be doing a soup

kitchen and I'm gonna be doing some other stuff in preparation for a

Christmas parade. So, I'm going to, hopefully, bring you along with me for as

much as I can. I don't know what all I'm gonna be able to catch cuz today is a

really busy day, I don't have time even right now to, like, sit down and set up

the lights to record this. And I also want to let you know that the day this

is released should be December first and that is the start of vlogmas. So, that

means is, I'm going to be releasing a new video every day until either Christmas

Eve or Christmas Day. We'll see which one happens. Some of them are pre-recorded, so

if you like this lovely quality right now, that's because I got my Christmas

present early. So, some of them aren't in quite this

quality but, you know, I still did my best. So, okay, anyway. So, I'm really excited to

bring you videos every single day during December. It's gonna be exciting

and I hope that you enjoy this video. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch some

stuff for you. So, happy vlogmas day one!

[Christmas music playing in background]

So, we're getting everything ready. The youth is doing a fantastic job, but I

doubt I'm going to be able to show them on my personal like blog just because

they're children or youth. So, I just need to grab some stuff to bring down

there because our event is down that-aways and yeah. So, this is probably gonna

be super boring. I'm gonna try to give you some b-roll because I am way too busy to hold this

giant camera and talk to it because I can't think and walk and talk at the

same time. Obviously. I 100% don't want to be walking around with this. Okay, anyway.

So, I have to get in that room and do some stuff, so hopefully, I'll get

something better than what I have right now. Sorry.

[Christmas music playing in the background]

-Do you know if there's better markers anywhere?

-Those are supposed to be the markers for that. -That's what I thought.

-Yeah, they were in here. The right ones were hiding in here.

-Who wants to go find the tea? -I search for tea on the internet. Wow, all the bad jokes.

The vlogmas part isn't my job, but the fact that,

like... Getting footage, whether that's video or photo for events,

is my job. And every single time, my youth, especially, (watching you) and other people are like "eeh, they

have a camera." And it's really annoying because other people can have the camera and

they're just like, "oh, whatever." And some people are like "hi!" No. When I have the

camera, everyone's like, "ooh, why does she have a camera?" By the way, on this computer, Photoshop. This girl looks

at me for practically hours because it hates loading on this computer. So, we're

wrapping up and just kind of getting everything cleaned up. So, I've got to get

a few of these pictures up and I think someone's looking for me. So, I hope you

all enjoyed today. Bye!

Democrats Backing Off Pledge To Investigate Trump – And That's A GOOD Thing - Duration: 3:58.

According to a recent report by Royders, uh, several senior Democrats in the US House of

Representatives are kind of backing off from their pledge that they're going to investigate

Donald Trump aggressively when they retake the House of Representatives in January.

Now case you haven't been paying attention.

The Trump administration, the Republican party, they've all been worried for months that if

the Democrats get back the house and they get back that subpoena power, it's just going

to be nothing but subpoenas.

Nothing been investigations into Donald Trump and we're going to find out all of his dirty

little secrets.

A lot of the American public likes that idea.

I like that idea, but at the same time, I understand that that is not a feasible electoral

strategy for the Democratic Party.

And thankfully the Democrats are understanding that as well.

Their decision, if Reuters is to be believed, if their story is accurate here, their decision

to not go after Donald Trump for every little thing is a good decision.

And here's why.

Everybody knows Donald Trump's a horrible person.

The people in this country who believes that he is corrupt will not have their minds changed.

We know he is corrupt, we've seen enough evidence to show he's corrupt.

The people who don't think he's corrupt, there is nothing that could happen, no result from

any investigation that is going to change their mind.

So if the Democrats did spend the next two years subpoenaing the president, launching

investigations, and even getting dirt on the man is not going to change anybody's minds.

We all already have our opinions and our beliefs and you're not going to change that.

You're not going to get the people who are a part of the MAGA cults to suddenly turn

against Donald Trump because you found out he was evading his taxes for years.

They'll probably say, hell yeah, taxation is theft.

On the other side, people are going to say, we knew he was bad.

I, we told you, ah, and that's it.

What the Democrats are saying they're going to do.

Instead there, they'll probably launch some investigations into things that need investigating,

like the child prisons for immigrants.

Um, but other than that, they're going to focus on policy.

They're going to focus on immigration policy, they're going to focus on lowering prescription

drug prices, they're going to focus on student loan debt crisis, and they're going to focus

on climate change.

All of those are issues that the public wants them to work on, and that's the only way to

beat Trump.

Two years from now, when we're at that presidential election, what's going to be the Democrats

message isn't going to be that, hey, you saw those investigations.

We didn't know Trump, right?

What?

Oh, what a cracker jack he is, right?

That's not going to win you any votes.

But if you go to the public and you say, listen, we had this bill right here to lower prescription

drug prices.

We had this bill to cancel student loan debt.

We had this bill to address climate change.

They voted it down.

He wouldn't sign it into law.

That's where you win.

You win on policy.

You're not going to win on character.

Everybody knows Trump sucks.

Everybody hates Trump.

We get it.

You want to win elections?

You focus on policy.

We just saw at work in the midterms and the senior Democrats who are watching all these

newcomers shake things up and get things done before they're even sworn in there.

Taking note too, we have already helped shift the Democratic Party a little bit more to

the left and these new members haven't even been sworn in yet.

That is the best thing and that is one of the reasons I still have a little bit of hope

for the Democratic Party.

They are moving to the left.

They're doing what they're supposed to ignore the investigations.

Ignore the noise of Donald Trump.

Focus on policy.

Take it back to the people and show them that you're actually working for them.

How Do Fabric Brighteners Work? - Duration: 3:12.

[♩INTRO]

Fabric brighteners can liven up an old, faded shirt.

But despite being in most detergents,

fabric brighteners don't actually clean your clothes.

And while they might make for a fun game of laser tag,

they're often banned in the military.

All because of fluorescence: Fabric brighteners make your clothes glow.

Clothing looks colorful because dye molecules

reflect visible colors of light into your eyes.

And clothing fades when the dye in the fabric

escapes into the water in your washing machine,

or when ultraviolet light from the Sun breaks dye molecules apart.

More washes, or more UV light, usually mean more faded colors.

Besides not cleaning your clothes,

fabric brighteners also don't really stop either of those processes.

Instead, they act like a sort of dye-enhancer,

helping whatever dye remains look its best.

Fabric brighteners are part of a group of chemicals

known as optical brighteners,

which are members of an even bigger group of molecules that fluoresce.

Fluorescent chemicals absorb light with some amount of energy

and then emit light with less energy.

That can mean absorbing blue and emitting red,

or absorbing red and emitting infrared.

Or, for optical brighteners, it means absorbing ultraviolet and emitting blue.

So when you go outside in clothes treated with an optical brightener,

some invisible UV light might miss a dye molecule

and hit a fluorescent molecule, which emits it as blue visible light.

But optical brighteners don't just turn everything blue in sunlight.

There's not enough added to detergents

to overpower whites or any colored dyes in clothes.

This tiny bit of blue adds a little extra light coming from your clothes,

and it helps drown out yellowing areas or small stains

that can happen to white clothes over time.

So it makes whites look cleaner and creates more contrast with other colors.

Long before optical brighteners, people were adding tiny amounts of blue dye

to their laundry to achieve the same yellow-masking effects.

So this isn't a new trick.

And when there's lots of visible light around,

the fluorescence from optical brighteners doesn't stand out very much.

So clothes treated with them don't tend to look like they're glowing.

But in places with lots of UV light and little else,

there's not much visible light to reflect off your clothes.

So the fluorescence starts to dominate,

especially where there aren't other dyes.

That's why white clothes tend to glow

when you're playing laser tag under all those UV-emitting black lights.

Optical brighteners aren't just a surprise at birthday parties, though.

The fluorescence also shows up through night-vision goggles,

which can pick up on very tiny amounts of visible light.

So detergents with optical brighteners tend to be banned in the military,

where they could put soldiers in extra danger.

So the next time someone tells you you're glowing, it might just be your clothes.

5 Video Game Records That Will Never Be Broken - Duration: 3:59.

Nothing proves your gaming influence like holding a world record.

Well, if you're looking for a claim to fame, move along, because these records seem pretty

much unbeatable — and probably always will be.

On February 16, 2016, Street Fighter superstar Ryan Hart

added one of his most impressive warriors, Hart snagged the Guinness World Record for

the most consecutive opponents fought in Street Fighter V. That's not as easy as it sounds.

Unlike many other marathon-based records, Hart had to battle for 11 hours without stopping.

And, get this: He defeated literally every single opponent thrown at him.

Forget record-breaking stamina — that's a superhuman ability!

Ken and Ryu would be proud.

"YOU WIN!"

Video game actors just don't get the same respect as their television and movie counterparts.

But over the past decade or so, a few people have emerged from the recording booth to become

legitimate celebrities.

None of them, however, can hold a candle to Steve Blum, who officially became the most

prolific voice actor in video game history back in 2012.

"Back off!"

"Get squished!"

"Meat mouth!"

"Phone bag!"

"Top Bitch!"

"Fido!"

"You got dead flesh on my new boots."

Since then, his list of credits has only gotten longer.

When Guinness first gave Blum the record, he'd appeared in a mere 261 video games, starting

with the classic 1995 LucasArts adventure game Full Throttle.

By February 2017, Blum had added over 100 more virtual roles to his resume, bringing

the total to 366 — and that number is still going up.

Ask any rando on the street what the biggest MMORPG on the planet is, and chances are they'll

say World of Warcraft — and they'd be wrong.

"Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

You're wrooong!"

As of July 2017, when Guinness World Records gave Jagex's free-to-play MMORPG RuneScape

the nod for the most users of an MMO video game, it had 254,994,744 verified users.

To put that into perspective: If RuneScape were a country, it'd be the fifth biggest

in the world.

RuneScape's success is simple: Not only is it constantly attracting new users via regular

updates, but it's been around for the better part of two decades.

Hey, every other game ever made — good luck beating that.

It's not going to happen.

In 2014, an anonymous developer launched an ambitious — and chaotic — social experiment

on Twitch.

Basically, they let viewers collectively play the very first Pokémon game by spamming the

channel's chat feed with commands.

And, somehow, the community managed to beat the game.

390 hours and countless memes later, the hero Red finished Pokémon's main campaign and

beat the Elite Four with an all-star team.

Twitch Plays Pokémon was, for a while, extremely popular.

Guinness World Records says that 1,165,140 people contributed to Red's journey, making

Twitch Plays Pokémon the record-holder for the most participants on a single-player online

video game.

Sure, "multi-participant single-player online video games" aren't exactly a thing, but hey,

a record is a record!

Now, while most of the other records on this list are something to applaud, this one is

pretty much...not.

That's because when you've got a franchise as big as Call of Duty, that also means that

you've got droves of very, very vocal fans, which can lead to some very, very unfortunate

records.

As such, Call of Duty players showed their displeasure for Infinite Warfare's trailer

by flooding it with downvotes, making it the most-disliked gaming video in YouTube history.

As of autumn 2018, the trailer has received 3.7 million thumbs down.

Why?

Well, it was just too far-removed from the franchise's roots.

Fans complained ad nauseum about the space-faring shenanigans, and even the franchise's most

dedicated players scoffed at stylistic similarities to Halo and Titanfall.

These days, it seems unlikely that anything else will generate enough hate to steal Infinite

Warfare's unfortunate record.

Things You Should Absolutely Never Order At Taco Bell - Duration: 4:23.

When you think of Taco Bell, you're probably not thinking about healthy eating.

Sure, it's possible to have a light meal at the Bell, but those healthy options are not

what we're here to talk about today.

These are the absolute worst items you can order when you run for the border.

Should you really eat any food with a name that starts with "XXL"?

Probably not!

With 870 calories per serving, and half of those calories coming from fat, eating one

of these big boys is about half the food you need in a day.

But it also loads you up with about 90 percent of your daily sodium allowance.

This oversized burrito is stuffed to maximum capacity with salty seasoned beef, way too

much rice, guac, cheeses galore, avocado ranch sauce, and beans.

For anyone looking to eat moderately, maintain a balanced diet, or not suffer a heart attack,

we'd suggest steering clear of this monster burrito option.

The Beefy 5-Layer Burrito is tempting.

You're getting a lot of food for not a lot of moolah when you order this item.

After all, it's two tortillas, stuck together with a tasty filling of nacho cheese, then

filled with seasoned beef, beans, sour cream, and even more cheese.

That said, you're also getting 500 calories, a glob of saturated fat, and more than half

of your daily allowance for sodium.

So you might order this multi-layered burrito thinking you're getting a lot of bang for

your buck, but you're actually also getting a heap of gross preservatives, fat, and salt

you didn't ask for.

Maybe the old saying is true after all.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

"Nachos: They're like a party for your mouth!

Nachos!"

Clocking in at 750 calories per serving with nearly half of them derived from fat, Taco

Bell's classic Nachos Bell Grande should give you pause.

This meal's main components of seasoned beef, cheese sauce, chips, sour cream, and refried

beans collectively contain way too many unpronounceable preservatives, modified additives, and ingredients

with the word "gum" in them to feel good about.

If you can get over how heavily processed it all is, you then have to wrap your head

around consuming 1,310 grams of sodium, 85 grams of carbs, and 38 grams of fat.

If you didn't pay attention in health class: Those numbers are way too high!

Why is Taco Bell's Cheesy Gordita Crunch so bad for you?

Well, first of all, it's actually two tacos masquerading as one.

An unseemly amount of cheese is combined with the eatery's signature overly salty beef,

fatty ranch sauce, and nutrient-free iceberg lettuce, then wrapped in a hard shell that's

wrapped in doughy flatbread.

Eat one of these gorditas and you'll have consumed a whopping 850 milligrams of sodium.

If you're aiming to retain control of your blood pressure levels, stay far away from

this menu item.

In theory, ordering a 12-pack of Cinnabon Delights from Taco Bell sounds like a great

idea.

In a way, it is… until you start looking at the nutritional information.

If you do snack your way through the whole thing, you're eating a whopping 930 calories,

and 480 of those are from fat.

There's also 59 grams of sugar in those 12 little balls of deliciousness, and there are

53 grams of fat, too.

That's more bad stuff than what's in the XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito, and that includes fat!

If you're splitting that order of Cinnabon Delights between four people, as the official

serving size suggests, you're not doing too terrible, but who really does that?

Just one of these giant breakfast burritos contains about your entire day's recommended

sodium intake.

The steak clocks in at the top, with 1480 mg of sodium.

The bacon and the sausage come in at 1470 mg and 1310 mg, respectively, and that's still

pretty horrible.

Why?

The American Heart Association says typical adults eat around 3400 mg a day, but the ideal

limit is around 1500 mg.

That's extra-important for anyone who's keeping an eye on their blood pressure, and too much

sodium leads to heart disease.

So it's probably best to skip this massive breakfast treat unless you plan on splitting

it up into thirds and eating it over the course of an entire day.

Or you could just stick to one soft breakfast taco and a small cup of coffee so your run

for the border doesn't turn into a run for the E.R.

Mourinho cuts exasperated figure during frustrating draw with Saints - Duration: 3:19.

It was just another day at the office for Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho

The Portuguese boss made the headlines in midweek after his wild celebrations of slamming several drink bottles to the floor raised eye-brows following Marouane Fellaini's late winner against Young Boys at Old Trafford

While his antics on the touchline weren't as manic, the 55-year-old certainly cut an exasperated figure on the touchline at St

Mary's Stadium on Saturday, as he complained vehemently to his backroom staff before he buried his head into his hands as he watch his side draw 2-2 with Southampton

'We lost so many balls in midfield, that was difficult to have that continuity,' Mourinho said in a post-match interview

'In the second half we went back to that dynamic where we lost too many balls in midfield, when the players don't understand that simplicity is genius

'United had it all to do in the evening kick off on Saturday after Stuart Armstrong and Cedric Soares gave Mourinho a first-half headache as Mark Hughes' side led 2-0 inside 20 minutes

It wasn't until Marcus Rashford stepped up to provide two fantastic assists for Romelu Lukaku and Ander Herrera to wipe out Southampton's two-goal cushion and make it all square before the break

While Mourinho bemoaned United's lack of simplicity at times, he was impressed with his side's fighting spirit to get back into the game

'It was a good comeback to 2-2, great example of players fighting to the limit,' Mourinho added

'Rashford, Jones and many others showing respect for the shirt, for the club.'With the January transfer window just a month away, Mourinho will be desperate to bring in reinforcements and he made it evidently clear that United needed an aggressive ball-winning midfielder if they are to turn their fortunes around

'The second goal was a direct free-kick and the first goal is because we don't press the ball when our block is low

We don't have many mad dogs – the ones that bite the ball and press all the time

'McTominay and Matic did a very good job for two midfield players.'The draw leaves the Red Devils in seventh, six points off the Champions League spots and 16 points off their rivals, Manchester City, who currently sit top of the Premier League table

News Anchors Who Were Really Creepy On Live TV - Duration: 4:56.

These news anchors were really creepy on live TV.

From awkward behavior to inappropriate jokes, they weren't exactly living up to their most

professional standards.

Was no one paying attention for all these years?

Sometimes being creepy is a team effort.

Like in this example from Canadian SportsCentre, when Pierre McGuire's director apparently

told him to really scooch up next to his fellow reporter as awkwardly as possible.

And then that co-anchor said the perfect setup to a joke so stupid and juvenile, there's

no way McGuire could resist blurting it out.

"Um, but he had mentioned he's a defensemen with a long stick, is this a guy that's gonna

be traded though?"

"You're an announcer with a long stick from time to time."

"Eh, big mouth."

It's really the "from time to time" part of that comment that makes the skin crawl, as

if McGuire keeps track of his coworker's ebbs and flows.

Jesse Watters has a reputation as Fox News' frat boy pundit, but he's somehow managed

to maintain an actual career as a newscaster.

He didn't do much to change that reputation when he made a crude joke about First Daughter

Ivanka Trump in response to her appearance at a women's panel in Germany.

He went into a diatribe about respecting women, but then ended it with a comment that sounded

like he was referencing oral pleasure.

"So I don't really get what's going on here but uh I really like how she was speaking

into that microphone"

Watters came under fire, but he denied that his comment about Trump was crude, instead

claiming he was celebrating how her voice sounded like a "smooth jazz radio DJ."

But that creepy smile of his would seem to suggest otherwise.

Some guys just can't take a hint, like Good Morning New York anchor Greg Kelly, who was

repeatedly scolded for ogling a fellow reporter on the air, but he just didn't seem to care.

While reporting from a local water park, Anna Gilligan was wearing a bikini.

She was just trying to get through the segment with her dignity intact, but Kelly was determined

to make sure that wouldn't happen.

Gilligan was going to dry off and put some clothes on, but Kelly kept dragging the segment

on with awkward chit-chat.

"Hold on a second!

No not so fast Anna let's uh let's uh let's see uh this is in New Jersey right?"

"Be nice."

"How long is the trip oh wait a second..."

"I think that's smart, Anna go dry off we'll see you in a little bit."

"What is wrong with you?"

"Just relax."

When someone says they want to go put some clothes on, you should let them go put some

clothes on, no questions asked.

Glenn Beck is known for a lot of things: spinning conspiracy theories, crying on the air, and

generally being too crazy for even Fox News.

Yet few seem to remember the time he straight-up asked one of his guests if he could see her

naked.

Us Weekly reporter Dina Sansing was on Beck's Headline News show in 2007 to discuss the

leak of nude pictures of American Idol contestant Antonella Barba.

While the pundit was probably counting on some graphic details coming up, there's no

way she could have known Beck would offer to help her take some racy pictures of her

own.

"Dina, I've got some time and a camera why don't you stop by?...No!

Ok umm…"

That's the sort of juvenile joke that would've probably gotten Beck fired if he tried to

pull it off today.

We all know Matt Lauer is a creep now, but back in 2012 he was still one of the most

beloved names in news.

That may be why he was given so much benefit of the doubt when he basically ambushed Anne

Hathaway during an interview on The Today Show.

He did so by bringing up a salacious photograph of the actress that had been making the rounds.

"Let's just get it out of the way you had a little wardrobe malfunction, the other night,

what's the lesson learned from something like that, other than that you keep smiling, which

you always do"

Lauer's condescending tone made it sound like he was implying that Hathaway was somehow

at fault for someone invading her privacy, and he even seemed to be looking for an apology

from her.

It was baffling at the time, but not so much anymore in light of the all the misconduct

allegations that have come out against him.

It's not exactly reassuring when a news anchor informs his viewers that they're about to

die.

But that's exactly what Shepard Smith did as Hurricane Matthew barreled toward the Florida

coast back in 2016.

"And you and everyone you know are dead.

All of you."

"And your kids die, too."

Smith was certainly correct that Florida residents needed to evacuate for their own safety.

That's true in the case of any major hurricane.

The problem is that he was just a little too blunt with his warning.

But then he sounded even more sociopathic when he described how the weather could interfere

with his own personal plans.

"If too many of you perish they'll send me down there, and I need to go to this wedding,

okay?

Thanks."

Here's hoping that all the news anchors of the world start acting a little classier as

soon as possible.

How to Get a Good Deal on a Carnival Cruise - 3 "Profitable" Tips - Duration: 5:15.

How to Get a Good Deal on a Carnival Cruise

what's up everybody Larry Porter here and I'm back once again and in today's

video we're gonna talk about how to get a good deal on a Carnival cruise you do

not want to miss these three tips I'm gonna share with you alright

we'll be right back

alright guys welcome back so you look at the take a Carnival cruise and you

trying to find some ways and branched on how to get a good deal on a Carnival

cruise well I want to help you brainstorm today I'm gonna share with

you 3 tips doing my research and that I came up with that I can help you out on How to Get a Good Deal on a Carnival Cruise

making the best decision on your Carnival Cruise so let's dive straight

into these tips tip number one all right now this is very critical because a lot

of the cruise lines especially Carnival they'd rather give a highly reduced rate

to a room rather than it to go empty ok so this is what I recommend doing do

last-minute bookings ok waiting to the last minute okay a lot of times you get

a huge discount because you at the last minute booking okay so let's say you

Cruise is going out seven-day cruise going out sometime and maybe September

September first you to 7 just like this for example and you book your cruise on

the 5th of September ok now you'll get a discount because they

got empty rooms on here that they are very very desperate to feel and they are

and they were very very flexible on offering reduced rates just to have the

rooms filled rather than being empty so last-minute bookings is a one way that

you can get a good deal on a Carnival cruise waiting to the last minute ok

now the flip side of this you you may have to be very flexible ok you may have

to be flexible with your time's your date or your destinations ok because you

think about you wait to the last minute however if you're flexible and you're

willing to go through these changes and be flexible with your with your cruise

dates and destinations you can get a reduced rate because you've waited to

the last many minutes to to do your looking ok alright tip number two go in

the less popular months this is what I like to call low seasons ok a lot of the

popular months such as June July maybe April a lot of people have to

go on cruising when it's warm okay and this is very very popular months however

cruise lines know this so the prices are higher in these months okay if you if

you go on a low popular month or a low season month guess what you'll get a

cheaper rate because it's not as popular many people don't go during these times

okay they do have special special huge

discounts during like maybe hurricane season which is okay if you up to it and

if you want to get a huge discount on the cruise hurricane season might be a How to Get a Good Deal on a Carnival Cruise

good thing for you but you know it's up to you you know I went in a hurricane

season and guess what the song was out all seven days I haven't had no issues

and we had a huge discount when they cruise so something use your preference

15 Royal traditions Queen Elizabeth Broke for Meghan Markle | British Royal Family - Duration: 11:02.

Fifteen royal traditions queen elizabeth ii broke for megan Markel

Megan Markel isn't your typical royal family member by any stretch? She's the first biracial

American divorcee to marry into the British royal family and marry a prince and potential heir to the throne

No less the Dutchess of Sussex has turned heads and inspired tons of gossip

Thanks to her refusal to follow well-established royal traditions, perhaps her husband Prince

Harry finds her lack of

Rule-following refreshing after all he's been described as the black sheep of the family and went through his own rebellious phase

But what about queen elizabeth ii what does she think of her grand daughter-in-law breaking protocol?

Shockingly, the queen isn't just accepting of megan Markel just the way she is

She even assists her with royal tradition breaking from time to time ahead

Check out all the royal traditions that queen elizabeth broke for. Megan Markel one

Christmases for royal family members only it's common knowledge that

The Queen takes Christmas very seriously

Royal family members are required to put in an appearance at their Sandringham Estate royal celebration

But typically no one is invited to join unless they're part of the family

that's what made it so surprising when megan Markel got invited to the

2017 royal Christmas gathering before she was technically married to Prince Harry for Christmas 2018

the Queen is even inviting Megan's mom Dorie Raglan to come to to the coat-of-arms honors the whole family an

Official coat of arms was created for Megan Markel in May 2018, but it didn't follow the tradition of including the whole family. For example

Kate Middleton's coat of arms references her mother's maiden name

But Megan's coat of arms is just for her this could be because there's so much family drama with Meghan's extended relatives

Megan markle's coat of arms features elements that represent her past including a blue background

symbolizing the Pacific Ocean and gold rays for the California sunshine

three

Divorcees don't get a church wedding

There was a time when men of the royal family weren't even allowed to marry someone who was divorced

That's how Queen Elizabeth became Queen in the first place when her uncle abdicated the throne to marry an American

Divorcee even though the rules are more relaxed now royal family members still don't get Church weddings when they marry someone who is divorced

When Prince Charles got remarried to Camilla, they had a simple civil ceremony that the Queen didn't attempt

But for Prince Harry and Megan Markel, Queen Elizabeth allowed a huge church wedding, even though Megan has been married before

For no Royals get married in May Queen, Victoria

Great-great-grandmother of Queen Elizabeth believed in the superstition that it was unlucky to get married in the month of May

Married in May rue the day is the popular adage

She followed that's why it's so strange that the Queen approved Prince Harry and Megan Markel's May wedding date

The Queen's own sister Princess Margaret got married in May and eventually divorced

Ostensibly proving the myth the Queen must truly believe Megan and Harry can overcome the curse of May 5

The bride is called miss on the wedding invitations royal wedding invitations are exceedingly formal

Usually the bride is referred to as miss but that wouldn't have been appropriate for Megan Markel who has been married before

Instead the Queen approved the invitation that said Ms. Megan Markel in the UK

There's no period after miss 6 the bride's father walks her down the aisle at a royal wedding

Who could forget the drama surrounding Megan Markel and her father Thomas Markel right before the wedding?

Sources speculated for weeks on whether he would attend or not

And if he would be the one to give her away in the end her new father-in-law

Prince Charles walked Megan down the aisle a break in protocol that was approved by the Queen

7 the best man in the host give wedding speeches

traditionally the best man in the wedding host

Usually the Prince of Wales offer toasts at a formal royal wedding

But at Prince Harry and Megan markle's nuptial celebration, the bride herself was granted the opportunity to make a speech

Probably because she has a real way with words 8 grooms. Don't wear wedding rings

Most royal men don't we wedding rings Prince William doesn't and neither does Prince Philip or Prince Charles?

But perhaps Harry likes jewelry

Or maybe his new bride believed in the more American tradition of both men and women wearing wedding jewelry

No matter what. The reason Prince Harry wears a wedding ring in the Queen doesn't mind nine

royal weddings

Exclusively include British music there might not be much discussion about including music from other countries

When a British royal family member marries someone from the same country?

But in the instance of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex the bride had a few American songs

She wanted included in the ceremony the Queen gave the go-ahead to break the standard in this case 10

There's usually no garlic allowed. No garlic breath Queen Elizabeth doesn't just hate eating garlic

She despises it so much that she doesn't allow anyone in the royal family to eat it either

That's why it's so surprising that Prince Harry and Megan Markel were roasting a chicken with lots of garlic on the night

He proposed the pair didn't even try to hide their forbidden spice usage 11 Royals

Can't bare their shoulders. It's always been tradition that women of the royal family aren't permitted to expose their shoulders

So you can imagine the surprise

when the Duchess of Sussex arrived at her first

Trooping of the color a birthday celebration for Queen Elizabeth in an off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress

Apparently the Queen let that rule slide for Megan Markel 12 wedge heels aren't allowed

Just like her dislike of garlic

The Queen of Horrors wedge style heels and most royal women would never Don them in her presence

But Megan Markel chose fashion sense over tradition when she wore them anyway

Apparently Kate Middleton has done the same and neither has been reprimanded for it

13 royal ladies wear hosiery

hosiery companies with suffering sales fell in love with Kate Middleton after all she helped increase sales and make

flesh-colored stock and cool again

But they don't have similar feeling for Megan Markel

even though royal women are supposed to cover their legs with stocking in public the duchess of sussex skipped out on

hosiery during her engagement photos

14 she crossed her legs incorrectly

It's no coincidence that all the ladies in the royal family crossed their legs the same way

This so-called Duchess slant involved in merely crossing the legs at the ankle and angling the legs

But Megan Markel attended a Buckingham Palace event and crossed her legs at the knee like she was used to doing

The Queen may not have loved it, but she didn't throw her out

15 Megan and Harry can't keep their hands off one another the rule may be unwritten

But it's still understood that public displays of affection

PDAs are strongly frowned upon that's why it's so shocking when the Duke of Duchess of Sussex are caught holding hands or even

kissing in public situations

Even if they've received a royal reprimand from the Queen it can't stop their love which manifests in a very physical way

Meagan markle's handbag might have broken royal protocol

All eyes were on Megan Markel as she stepped out on her first royal engagement on Friday with her soon-to-be husband, Prince Harry

Crowds gathered in Nottingham from as early as 6 a.m. In the freezing cold weather to catch a glimpse of the newly engaged couple

But according to one royal etiquette expert the American former actress may have broken royal protocol during the outing

During the outing Megan donned a burgundy and navy leather handbag by Scottish label strawberry

But etiquette expert Micah Meyer told Good Housekeeping royal family members

Usually carry a clutch rather than a handbag as a way of avoiding shaking hands with people with whom it might be awkward

Both the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge are often seen with clutches or bags with just a small handle for this reason. She said

when the Duchess is at an event, she holds her bag in front of her in both, hence when shaking hands might be awkward or

She can place it in one hand to have the other free

She said adding it is never to be tucked under an arm or placed on the ground or table

However, etiquette expert William Hanson has also weighed in on the matter

previously telling the Daily Mail

This was not always necessary as there were other ways to achieve this often used by the Queen and other members of the royal family

It is protocol that you do not extend your hand to any member of the royal family

Blood royal or those who have married into the family unless their hand extends first

But a courteous smile at those whom she does not have time to shake hands will suffice

In any case one person that was thrilled about Megan's choice of accessory was Leanne hon loving

The 45 year old mother of four who started the handbag label strawberry with her husband in

2013 told The Telegraph she sent Megan a selection of the labels handbags a fortnight ago on a whim before the engagement

announcement

Yet she was as surprised as anyone when Megan stepped out on Friday to buting the navy and burgundy tote

which retails for

495 and sold out within minutes after being touched by what is being dubbed the Megan effect

It's just amazing for us. It really is the greatest a spokeswoman for the brand told The Telegraph

It was a fantastic surprise and we are really excited

We're suddenly incredibly busy

Many have hailed Megan as a natural after the outing

While she politely declined selfies as is protocol

she chatted with on lookers warmly introducing herself to them as Megan and

McGuire who brought her nearly three-year-old son Leo with her described how Meghan bent down to speak to the toddler

Telling him he was so brave to come out in the cold

She reached out again and grabbed my hand and said I'm so glad you braved it to stand in the cold. She said

She's such a natural

twenty year old my Schley litters

From California said Megan had recognized her accent and told her it's so lovely to meet a fellow Californian

I'm so excited to be here

Bye!
