Youtube daily report w Dec 25 2018

Long ago, two rces ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS

One day, war broke out between the two races.

After a long battle, the humans were victorious.

They sealed the monsters underground, with a magic spell.

Many years later...

David Foster Wallace on Responsibility and Maturity (2003) - Duration: 16:23.

Well, my memory is, one of the reasons for setting the book in the future

was that ...

I'm now 40, so I was born in the early 60s.

and to an extent,

I think my generation tends to think of itself as as children still

and as people with parents

and I remember wanting to do

something about what would be

the situation of our children.

Kind of in the next generation.

Interviewer: And this child like thing

also has something.

There's one story

in "Interviews with Hideous Men",

where the oppressed person

is always talking about

the woman and the child.

Is that something that belongs together?

Or is this ...

Language like that,

the wounded inner child,

the inner pain is part of

a kind of pop psychological movement

in the United States that is a sort of

popular Freudianism that has its own paradox

which is that the more we are taught

to list and resent the things of which

we were deprived as children,

the more we live in that anger and frustration

and the more we remain children.

That's a very simple way of putting it,

but I think the character in that story

is sort of a compendium of

kind of all the worst and most painful features

of the popular psychology movement in the U.S.

And I don't know whether there's any analog to that

in Western Europe or not.

Interviewer: I think there is, actually.

To the extent that I understand it,

being what you call "grown-up"

isn't a lot of fun a lot of the time.

There are things you have to do.

There are things you want to do, that you can't do for a variety of reasons.

I think, for young people in America

there are very mixed messages from the culture.

There's a streak of moralism in American life

that extols the virtues

of being grown up and having a family and being a responsible citizen,

but there's also the sense of

do what you want, gratify your appetites,

because when I'm a corporation,

appealing to the parts of you that are selfish and self-centered

and want to have fun all the time is the best way to sell you things. Right?

Once reduced to talking about general terms,

like being grown-up

or a term that's rarely used here anymore.

And see, now I feel embarrassment,

because I'm going to sound like my grandfather or something.

But the word, "citizen," the idea of being a citizen,

it would be to understand your country's history

and the things about it that are good and not so good and how the system works

and taking the trouble to learn about candidates for political office,

which means often reading stuff which isn't fun.

Sometimes it's boring.

But when people don't do that, here's what happens:

the candidates win who have the most money to buy television advertisements,

because television advertisements are all most voters know about the candidates,

therefore we get candidates who are beholden to large donors,

and become, in some ways, corrupt, which disgusts the voters

and makes the voters even less interested in politics,

less willing to read and do the work of citizenship.

When I was a little boy,

there was a class called "citizenship".

Here are certain things about America and America's history.

Here's why it's important to vote.

Here's why it's important not to just go in and vote

for who the best looking candidate is.

Here's what's really interesting, and I don't know if you can translate this.

Talking about this now, I feel ashamed,

because my saying all this sounds to me like an older person saying this,

like a person lecturing, which in American culture sets me up to be ridiculed.

It would be very easy to make fun of what I'm saying.

It would be very easy to make fun of what I'm saying

and I can hear in my head a voice making fun of this stuff as I'm saying it.

And this is the kind of paradox, I think,

of what it is to be a halfway intelligent American right now

and probably also a Western European.

There are things we know are right and good

and would be better for us to do, but constantly it's like,

yeah, but you know it's so much funnier and nicer to go do something else.

And who cares?

And it's all bullshit anyway.

Sorry.

And, for me, personally, I don't know that it's really ever been all that different.

I think probably American education used to be a little bit better

and a little bit more difficult

and children had no choice but to realize that there were certain things

that were hard and involved a certain amount of drudgery

that were actually very satisfying at the end of it,

but for the most part I think in the U.S., people who have been doing

"serious stuff" which is harder and stranger,

have always played to a much smaller audience.

There's a difference though, I think, between being mildly bored

but then there's another kind of boredom that I think you're talking about.

Reading requires sitting alone by yourself in a quiet room

and I have friends, intelligent friends, who don't like to read,

because they get - it's not just bored - there's an almost dread

that comes up, I think, here about having to be alone

and having to be quiet.

And you see that when you walk into most public spaces in America.

It isn't quiet anymore. They pipe music through.

And the music is easy to make fun of,

because it's usually horrible music,

but it seems significant that we don't want things to be quiet ever anymore.

And to me, I don't know that I could defend it,

but that seems to me to have something to do with

when you feel like the purpose of your life is to gratify yourself

and get things for yourself and go all the time,

there's this other part of you

that's the same part that is almost hungry for silence and quiet

and thinking really hard about the same thing for maybe half an hour

instead of thirty seconds

that doesn't get fed at all.

It makes itself felt in the body and a kind of dread in here.

I don't know whether that makes a lot of sense,

but I think it's true that here in the U.S.,

every year the culture gets more and more hostile.

I don't mean hostile like angry.

It becomes more and more difficult to ask people to read

or to look at a piece of art for an hour

or to listen to a piece of music that's complicated

and that takes work to understand,

because - well, there are a lot of reasons - but because,

particularly now in computer and internet culture,

everything is so fast.

And the faster things go, the more we feed that part of ourselves,

but don't feed the part of ourselves that likes ... that likes quiet.

That can live in quiet.

That can live without any kind of stimulation.

It's an American idiom, "Going to hell in a handbasket".

Well, particularly if you have a remote control.

See, when that happens, you go to a different channel

and if you don't like that channel, you go to a different channel.

And one of the reasons I can't own a TV

is I've started having this thing where I become convinced

there's something really good on another channel and that I'm missing it.

And so instead of watching,

I'm scanning anxiously back and forth for this thing

that I think I want, that I don't even know what it is.

And so, I don't know whether German ...

Well, this is probably not a good thing to say on television,

but I don't know whether a similar thing happens in Germany,

but it's very stressful now.

And what it is, is too much good stuff

combined with my sick little head

that thinks there's always something a little better on the next ...

And all you have to do.

You don't have to get up now to change it.

That was the problem, when it became easy.

You just had to move your thumb and change it.

That's when we were screwed.

Interviewer:So do you think it's ...

Ninety-percent of this is going to be cut out, right?

Interviewer: Yeah, sure.

Yes? Okay.

[Awkward interviewer laughter]

Interviewer: I mean, not because I like it,

When I was younger, I used to ...

There's a way in which we in America are very comfortable.

And I used to think that some of the political and social answers

that I thought should be ...

Some of the political and social corrections that I thought should be brought about

would happen when there was some sort of cataclysm

or misfortune, where we weren't as comfortable any more.

The fact that ...

that we now have clear evidence that the way we live

and the relationships we have with various other countries

are causing some people to hate us so much that they want to kill us,

and may succeed in killing a great many of us,

frightens me only because ...

When I was growing up,

one of the mythological periods for us growing up is the Great Depression.

Weimar era.

Where the story goes, everyone pulled together.

There were hard times, and no one had enough,

but everyone pulled together.

It seems to me now,

that the country's reaction to feeling frightened and insecure

is to buy Sports Utility Vehicles that are large and massive and tank-like

and make individual people feel safer,

but also get four miles-to-the-gallon

in a country where gasoline is probably one-fifth as expensive as it ought to be.

There's a sanity in Europe about gasoline prices and fuel consumption

that there isn't here yet.

And yet, are voting for people who are deciding to go over

and very possibly kill hundreds of thousands of civilians

in order to kill a few enemies.

None of which is important,

but the fact that no one here is talking about the connection between

how we live and what we drive

and the things that are happening.

The speed with which it's become,

those bad people, those bad fanatics, they're evil,

what they really hate is our freedom and our way of life,

which is just hard to swallow, right? Who hates freedom?

People hate people, not freedom.

I now don't know what's going to happen.

And I am, as an American, as scared ...

Not since I was a little boy and I worried about the U.S. and the Soviet Union

having an intercontinental -

Not since that, have I been this scared.

And this is totally personally, but I'm more scared of us

than I am of anybody else.

That's a bleak place to be.

I'm not sure how I feel about ...

Well, you're going to use it if you want.

I don't think this is an evil country.

I don't think American people are evil.

I think we've had it very ...

I think we've had it very easy, materially, for a long time,

and we've gotten very little help in understanding

things that are important besides being comfortable.

I don't think anybody knows how we will react if things get really hard here.

The fact that we're strong militarily and economically is a good thing,

but it's also a frightening thing.

To some of us, as Americans.

Luckily, not a lot of Americans will see this in Germany.

Interviewer: Are there any means of rebellion?

Sure.

Interviewer: So, what would it be?

Well, there are people doing it all over the place.

I don't know about people rappelling down buildings and getting tear gassed and stuff.

The people I know who are rebelling meaningfully

don't buy a lot of stuff.

And don't get their view of the world from television.

And are willing to spend four or five hours researching an election

rather than going by commercials.

The thing about it is that

in America, we think of rebellion as this very sexy thing

and it involves action and force and looks good.

My guess is the forms of rebellion that will end up changing anything meaningfully here

will be very quiet and very individual.

And probably not all that interesting to look at from the outside.

I'm now hoping for less interesting, rather than more interesting.

Violence is interesting

and horrible corruption and scandals

and rattling sabers and talking about war

and demonizing a billion people of a different faith in the world.

Those are all interesting.

Sitting in a chair and really thinking about what this means

and why the fact that what I drive might have something to do with

how people in other parts of the world feel about me

isn't interesting to anybody else.

That was very close to the truth, but I don't think it's going to make much sense.

And plus, it's a little silly. I'm a writer.

I'm not a politician or a political thinker or whatever.

Just a scared little American.

Living in California.

Interviewer: Just one more question.

Don't Imprison Yourself - Duration: 2:38.

(If you don't effectively use your senses:) the hearing, the sight and the speech (and fully express and realize yourself), then you are no better than a worm

If you don't hear; if you don't see and if you don't speak

you are like a larva trapped into a cocoon

Our Lord ﷻ had you out of such cocoons as He ﷻ made for you the hearing, the sight, ...

so you are basically outside of (any) cocoon (yes?)

So why do you put yourself into a cocoon? You are out of all cocoons (by default): you hear and you see

So go out, see, hear and learn ...

But you go and create for yourself a new cocoon made up of fear and worry

along with sadness and depression

And with that, you create cocoon for those around you

why all of that?!

What do you fear? And what are you worried about? Isn't there our Lord (ﷻ)?

Our Lord (ﷻ) ... So that's it. You have a Lord. What does that mean?

It means that if you desire anything in this whole world, you prostrate yourself

and speak with our Lord (ﷻ), The One Who controls this whole world

You tell Him, "O Lord! (Please. This issue....)". He ﷻ tells you, "Okay".

You (can) move the whole world while sitting in your place

Don't mention (your desire/need) to someone else. Don't allow anyone between our Lord and yourself

Because there is no request you ask of Allah, but then put another one in between (Him and yourself)

No, Whatever is between our Lord and yourself should remain between you and Who? Our Lord ﷻ.

Sy, for example, you desire ... even with the most trivial of things

You want your wife to do something but you don't to ask her (directly)

tell our Lord ﷻ about it.

You want your son (to be a certain way), tell our Lord

If you are overwhelmed with something, tell our Lord

(You have an issue) with your manager at work, tell our Lord

Learn (practice) to talk to our Lord; The One that you think of the last

The One you sometimes don't think of

With problems, no one - first - thinks of our Lord

At times of problems, everyone goes, "How can I solve this?"

Who are you to solve problems?! (You don't have the power)

(Always think and put) our Lord first. After that, try to find out how to solve it

The instant you hear of a problem, what do you do? Prostrate yourself and talk to our Lord (ﷻ)

Afterthat, (see what you will do)

(If you don't do that), you will put yourself in a cocoon of fear, sadness, worry, … etc.

and you will remain therein.

How To Abuse Aim Assist + Improve Your Aim PS4/Xbox Fortnite! (Fortnite Controller Aim Guide) - Duration: 10:47.

Hey what is going on guys, this video today is going to be a tip video revolved around

improving aim, and specifically for console/controller players, abusing aim assist.

When it comes to improving aim in Fortnite I've always tried to be super honest with

you guys, it mostly just comes down to practice.

However, there are definitely some important mechanical tips that I can give you guys that

should make your overall aiming mechanics better and should help you improve your aim

faster.

But, don't think that just watching this video will suddenly make you super accurate overnight.

Anybody who says that in their videos or anything else is flat out misleading you.

So, I'm gonna give it my best shot to make this video as helpful as possible, and without

further ado let's get right into it.

Alright, so let's start this video off by discussing one of the most important sort-of

secrets of having good aim in Fortnite.

And that secret is that if you play fortnite with a controller you need to learn how to

quote unquote abuse or take advantage of aim assist to its fullest potential.

Of course every time I mention aim assist I have to say this to try to prevent arguments

in the comments, no aim assist is not overpowered, anybody who tries to tell you it is, they're

wrong.

Aim assist is an absolutely necessary feature for controller players and the game would

be borderline unplayable without it.

However, even though aim assist is a totally balanced mechanic, that doesn't mean you shouldn't

try to take advantage of it.

You look at the absolute best of the best controller Fortnite players when it comes

to aim, and taking advantage of aim assist is something they've pretty much mastered.

And the actual mechanics of abusing aim assist are fairly simple to explain, but, does require

a bit of practice and feel for it.

I basically think of it almost as quick-scoping in call of duty.

Normally, when you shoot at someone in a medium/long range situation in Fortnite, you: fully aim-down

sights, shoot at them, and then continue to track and shoot them while still aiming down-sights.

But, what you do when you wanna abuse aim assist is aim-down-sights and shoot at the

exact same time.

And each time you want to take another shot you just repeat that process over and over

again.

And here's why this works so well.

When you aim down sights, aim assist will pretty much attach your crosshair onto the

enemy you're aiming at.

The problem is, if the enemy moves at all, you'll have to manually re-adjust your crosshair

to track and follow them if you want to hit your shot.

And, on top of that, bloom will make it very difficult for you to land multiple shots in

a row.

But, if you can time it to where you're shooting as soon as you get that aim assist help, you'll

be able to hit the enemy even if they're moving.

And, I'll show you guys a clip right now that really is a perfect example of what I'm describing.

I've showed this clip before on my channel, but, it's too perfect to not show again.

So, in that clip you'll notice I was using a deagle, and this is important because a

few months ago, abusing aim assist was legitimately overpowered, so much so that you could basically

do it with any weapon in the game in any type of fight.

But, with the way aim assist is now, you can't really do that anymore.

In my opinion there are 3 weapons that abusing aim assist most works with.

And those are: The deagle, the heavy AR, and the tac shotgun.

It kinda works with SMGs as well, but, I personally don't really use the technique with them.

Now, sadly the tac shotgun isn't really all that good right now, but, the best way to

use it is by aiming down sights and shooting at the same time, and just doing that over

and over again.

You won't see that too much now because nobody really uses the tac, but, if it gets a significant

buff, it'll be really deadly when combined with abusing aim assist.

The deagle and the heavy AR on the other hand are both "meta" weapons, which makes them

much more practical uses for aim assist abuse.

Being able to abuse aim assist is one of the biggest reasons I prefer the deagle over any

possible SMG in the game, and why I have the heavy AR as pretty much the best AR in the

game.

Because of aim assist, these 2 weapons are probably the only 2 weapons in the entire

game, where mouse users don't have a huge aim advantage over controller users.

Another time abusing aim assist comes in handy is in super long range engagements with any

fully-auto AR in the game.

In those super long range fights bloom makes it practically impossible to hit more than

1 shot in a row.

Therefore, you can use the technique to constantly shoot 1 super-accurate bullet at a time, and

get in some free long-range chip damage.

So that's pretty much the best explanation I can give of abusing aim assist.

It definitely isn't as good as it used to be, but, it's still very powerful if done

correctly.

And, I'd really recommend paying attention to the gameplay in this video, because it's

something you'll see me doing fairly often.

The next tip I want to cover is the importance of keeping yourself active and mobile in close

range shotgun fights.

This isn't necessarily a tip that specifically deals with aiming better, but, it's super

important because it's a tip that helps you stay alive when your aim fails you.

And news flash, no matter how great your aim ever gets, that will still happen multiple

times a game in literally every single game you play.

So, I wanna show you guys a short little 10-15 second clip to give a visual example of exactly

what I mean by that.

Sadly it doesn't have any sound because there was music in the background and I don't want

youtube to do bad things to me, but, it's only like 12 seconds so try to pay close attention

specifically to my movement.

So what you guys just watched was a really good example of the importance of staying

active with constant movement in super close range fights.

And as I just mentioned, my aim in that fight was not good at all.

I missed 2 shotgun shots and a few AR shots on top of that.

But, what really matters is the fact that I was able to get the kill without taking

any damage.

Now, back a few months ago when I wasn't as good at Fortnite, all of my movement in close

range fights was basically just jumping.

You guys probably know that I have my jump button bound to a paddle on the back of my

controller, so, I would just jump up and down constantly, without my aim really being affected

by it.

But, over time I realized that constantly jumping in shotgun fights can actually be

pretty detrimental at times, and also, I could do so much more than just jumping.

Fortnite has a feature in their game known as "jump fatigue" which basically makes it

so that your character starts to jump lower and lower the more times in a row you jump.

That may not sound like a huge deal, but, it makes it very hard for you to aim while

jumping when you aren't really sure how high your jump is actually going to go.

That's why I now jump a considerable amount less in fights, but, incorporate a lot more

non-jumping movement as well.

In that clip you guys saw me do about 3-4 different things in a 10 second span.

I jumped twice, I crouched and crouched 2-3 times, I kinda strafed a little bit from right

to left, but that definitely wasn't the best example of strafing I'll admit that, and finally,

I did a really good job of navigating cover to protect myself.

Those are all techniques that you need to be sure you implement into your close range

fights.

That is one of the biggest mistakes I see with new player, they stay way too stationary

in those types of fights.

That means that they get punished so much more for having lackluster aim.

Crouching, jumping, and strafing in fights definitely isn't something that comes naturally,

so, you really need to make a priority to focus on and learn it.

It may feel really awkward at first like it did for me, but, it's totally worth it in

the long run.

And just 1 last tip regarding jumping in fights.

If you don't play claw, have a scuf controller, or an xbox elite controller do not jump around

in the middle of shotgun fights.

That action will require you to take your hand off of the aiming stick, and that will

make it almost impossible for you to hit your shots.

The next tip of this video is the importance of tracking and specifically aiming for your

enemies head in shotgun fights.

This may sound like one of those super simple tips, but, trust me, even if you've heard

it before, there's a good chance you just subconsciously don't do it in fights.

I'll play another 10 second clip real quick that shows a great example of what this looks

like.

So that clip really speaks for itself, especially with the 2nd and 3rd guys I killed.

I saw the 2nd guy running towards me through the transparent wooden wall and the ENTIRE

time I was lining up and tracking his head.

Then the 3rd guy kinda came out of nowhere and I kinda got screwed by the shotgun timer

delay, but, I stayed come, and as I waited for the delay to go away I carefully lined

up my cross-hair with the enemies head.

And that results in a 3 man team wipe in about 7 seconds with a total of 3 shots being fired.

The value of hitting head-shots is a simple as this.

Hitting 3 pellets in the head is the exact same thing as hitting 6 pellets anywhere else

on the body.

It really is a bad habit of a lot of players to line up safe body shots when they could

instead take a little more risk and aim for the head.

Like I said, even if you miss a few extra pellets you'll still probably end up doing

more damage in the end.

You want this to be something you ingrain into your gameplay until it literally becomes

second nature to you.

It may take a while, but trust me it is worth it.

So, I hope you guys enjoyed this video and if you watched the entire thing be sure to

let me know with a comment down in the comment section below.

I wanna know what aspect of aiming you guys struggle with the most in Fortnite.

I may make another video like this in sometime in the future because you guys seem to really

enjoy them.

So I wanna know what people really need help with specifically.

Be sure to leave a like, leave a comment, subscribe, turn on post notifications, do

whatever the heck you want.

And I, will catch you guys next time.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton put down all enmity when attending Christmas with Queen Elizabeth - Duration: 11:33.

Kate and Meghan are all smiles as they put rumours of a rift behind them to join their husbands,

the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family at Christmas Day church service in Sandringham.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex were all smiles today

as they joined the Queen at church in Sandringham for the Christmas Day service.

Kate, 36, and Meghan, 37, were greeted by adoring crowds as they made their way to St Mary Magdalene Church,

a short walk from Sandringham House on the Royal Family's Norfolk estate.

Prince William, 36, and Harry, 34, joined their wives as they put on a united front amid rumours of a 'rift' and mounting tensions between the two couples.

It was confirmed earlier this month that the 'Fab Four' were going to spend Christmas Day together despite claims of a falling out.

Hundreds of well-wishers turned out to see the royal family, but the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duchess of Cornwall were missing.

Philip and Camilla did not join the rest of the royals as they made the short walk.

It is understood the duke is in good health and will spend the day relaxing privately with his family.

Camilla missed an appearance at the Olympia Horse Show last week due to a heavy cold and is believed to be still recovering from the bug.

Behind the lead group strode Peter Phillips holding the hands of his daughters Savannah and Isla,

and they were followed by Princess Beatrice and Peter's wife Autumn Phillips.

A few metres behind were Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank,

who smiled at the crowds as they walked towards the church.

Towards the back of the group were the Earl and Countess of Wessex with their children,

Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and Zara and Mike Tindall.

The Queen arrived in her state limousine with the Duke of York.

During the service the congregation sang traditional carols O Little Town Of Bethlehem, Hark!

The Herald Angels Sing and O Come All Ye Faithful.

Afterwards the young royals went on a brief walkabout

and when Meghan saw 17-year-old Jessica holding up a small sign with her Instagram username on it,

Jessica Scarlett, she instantly recognised it and gave her social media friend a hug.

The teenager, from Peterborough, described the experience as 'amazing' adding :

'I started watching Suits, then I started following her on social media

and then followed her acting and followed her humanitarian work, so I've been a fan of her for years.

'There were a group of us girls on social media she became kind of close with and interacted a lot online'.

She said about the duchess, who closed down her social media accounts before her marriage to Harry:

'This is the first time I've met her, she just said 'it's so lovely to meet you,

incredible to finally see you' and she was asking how we all are and if we're still talking and supporting each other'.

Meghan and Kate were given armfuls of bouquets by well-wishers

as they went on a brief walkabout after the service with their husbands.

Kate chatted to Jill Lee, from Cambridge, who has watched the royals attend church on Christmas Day a number of times.

She said: I said to Kate 'were the children up early' and she said 'very early, but it was lovely to see their faces'.

The 71-year-old, a retired seamstress, kissed Harry on the cheek a few years ago

when he left church but this year he declined the offer - because of Meghan.

She said: 'I said to Harry 'I can't kiss you this year, can I?' and he said 'no' and pointed to his wife'.

Rumours of the feud surfaced when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced

they were moving out of Kensington Palace to live in Frogmore House in Windsor.

There were also reports of a falling out between Meghan and Kate

during Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress fitting before the royal wedding earlier this year.

It was then hinted that the Cambridge's would spend the day with the Middleton family in Berkshire,

and Harry and Meghan would spend it with the Queen.

However Kensington Palace confirmed they would be celebrating the day together in what is expected to be a show of solidarity between the royals.

Royal fans wait at the church each year to get a glimpse of the family to start their Christmas festivities.

Many had brought bouquets of flowers or had got in the Christmas spirit by wearing Santa hats.

Poised with her camera phone in the crowds was Karen Anvil, 40, from Watlington, Norfolk,

who snapped the Royals smiling as they left church last Christmas Day.

She said the photo had been like a lottery win after she posted it on social media

before a professional photographer at the church put her in touch with his agent.

She said by 5pm the same day, the picture had gone viral and it has since been sold to at least 50 countries.

Sales of the photograph have enabled her take a year off work, clear debts and pay for a house revamp.

This year the Duchess of Sussex is enjoying her first Christmas as a member of the royal family.

But the American former actress is in the rare position of already having spent December 25 with the Windsors.

She became the first non-married partner invited to Christmas lunch at Sandringham with the Queen in 2017.

Now an HRH and a duchess, the ex-Suits star is seven months into her royal life, and due to give birth to a royal baby in the spring.

The traditions followed by the royal family at Christmas are a little different from many households in the UK.

While most people across the country open their presents on Christmas Day,

the royal family still keep to the German practice of opening their gifts on Christmas Eve.

Known as Heiligabend Bescherung (which translates as Christmas Eve exchanging presents),

the tradition was popularised by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other royals usually congregate in the White Drawing Room

at Sandringham House the day before Christmas to put the finishing touches to a 20ft (6m) tree cut from the estate.

Presents are placed on a white linen-covered trestle table, with cards marking exactly where the piles of gifts should be put.

The Queen likes practical presents, but not overly extravagant ones,

and the royals also reportedly like to exchange joke or non-costly quirky gifts.

Kate revealed that she was left stumped over what to buy the monarch for Christmas during her first stay at Sandringham.

'I thought back to what would I give my own grandparents.

And I thought 'I'll make her something'. Which could have gone horribly wrong,' the duchess said.

'But I decided to make my granny's recipe of chutney.

I was slightly worried about it, but I noticed the next day that it was on the table'.

Diana, Princess of Wales, once fell foul of the royal rules on present-giving,

apparently buying cashmere sweaters as her first festive royal presents,

and getting joke gifts such as a loo-roll holder in return.

At 5pm, guests enjoy tea, scones, sandwiches and cakes from sideboards in the Saloon.

Afterwards, they dress for dinner, with the men in black tie and the women in evening gowns, with the table set with the finest china.

Sarah, Duchess of York, once described the royal Christmas as 'exhausting', having changed outfits seven times in 24 hours.

Sometime after 10pm, on a signal from the Queen, the dorgis are led out and the ladies adjourn,

leaving the Duke of Edinburgh to serve port or brandy to the men.

On Christmas Day, the royals awake to find stockings filled with small gifts and fruit at the foot of their beds.

After the morning service at the Church of St Mary Magdalene on the royal estate is a traditional event where they greet well-wishers.

Back at the house, lunch is prepared by their staff and served at 1pm, and the royals indulge in a giant turkey, reared at Sandringham.

They then settle down to watch the Queen's Christmas Speech.

The Queen sometimes quietly leaves the room and lets her family watch the national address by themselves,

as she views it alone to see how it comes across.

Boxing Day, when the royals enjoy a breakfast buffet of kedgeree, bacon and eggs,

often involves outdoor pursuits such as shooting, riding and walking.

Classic Kate wins the Christmas Day style war with a festive 1940s Catherine Walker coat,

as modern Meghan supports pal Victoria Beckham by wearing her £2,250 jacket, £1,000 boots and clutching Posh's £1,200 bag.

Royal fans were treated to a double helping of Duchess this morning as Kate and Meghan arrived together

at Sandringham for the Christmas Day service - each sporting extremely different styles.

Side by side, Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, 37,

appeared to have put their reported differences aside as they strode toward the church with their husbands.

However, their choice of outfit could not have been further apart with Kate going for a classic look and Meghan choosing chic,

dressed in items from Victoria Beckham's clothing line.

An ever-stylish Kate cut a classic figure in a red custom made Catherine Walker dress coat with a burgundy collar and matching hat,

teamed with gold accessories, gloves and a red Bayswater clutch by Mulberry.

She wore dark tights and modest red Gianvito Rossi heels, appearing to be continuing with a forties era style.

Recently the Duchess has appeared in A-line coats, shouldered jackets and mid-length skirts as she leads the pack for Royal fashion.

The pregnant Duchess of Sussex however, opted for a much more modern outfit.

The Duchess who came in on Prince Harry's arm chose to go chic in dark colours and high heeled black boots.

She wore a double breasted tailored £2,250 coat from the VB line, as well as a pair of boots by David Beckham's wife.

The stylish Duchess also carried a £1,200 powder box bag by the Spice Girl turned designer.

However, she was matched perfectly with her husband who wore a lighter shade of blue.

The Beckhams attended the wedding of the Duke and Duchess in May.

The former suits actress who married Prince Harry in May also wore black,

calf height boots over a dark dress, coat and matching hat with dark blue feathers protruding from it.

The Duchess of Sussex may have a lot to learn from Prince William's wife who has become a style icon.

Kate's clothes fly off shelves of stores whenever she wears them.

Recently, she has opted for 40s and 50s style – and the fashion world is lapping it up.

Kate, 36, and Meghan, 37, were greeted by adoring crowds as they made their way to St Mary Magdalene Church,

a short walk from Sandringham House on the Royal Family's Norfolk estate.

Prince William, 36, and Harry, 34, joined their wives and the rest of the Royal Family

as they put on a united front amid rumours of a 'rift' and mounting tensions between the two couples.

It was confirmed earlier this month that the 'Fab Four' were going to spend Christmas Day together despite claims of a falling out.

It began after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were moving out of Kensington Palace to live in Frogmore House in Windsor.

Queen's speech in front of lavish gold piano blasted for being 'out of touch' - Duration: 4:32.

The Queen's Christmas Day speech has been slammed on social media for being "out of touch" and disrespectful to families "struggling to make ends meet".

The head of state talked about Brexit and austerity in her annual address was broadcast at 3pm today.

But the 92-year-old monarch was sat beside a lavish golden piano in a luxurious room at Buckingham Palace.

And the royal joked about being a grandmother and family weddings.

But the Queen was branded "out of touch" online.

Many republicans, who believe the monarchy should be abolished, pointed out the disparity between the Queen and ordinary people in terms of wealth.

One posted on Twitter: "Always warms an old republican's heart to see the billionaire head of an antiquated institution, surrounding themselves with gold in their modest 775-roomed detached home, while others are f***ing struggling to make ends meet."

Others highlighted the plight of food bank users over Christmas, with one writing: "Queen says, from her humble and modest surroundings, family kept her 'well occupied' over the year. I suspect the thousands of mums and dads that use food banks and struggle on Universal Credit each week could say the same."

And one Twitter user said: "I don't understand the criticism old Mrs Windsor is getting over her gold piano while she lectures her subjects. It's a fairly standard piece of furniture. I keep mine next to my diamond encrusted microwave."

10 Things We Have Cut From our Budget - Duration: 21:16.

For the last couple of years, myself and Ben have kind of not really been super diligent

on not spending money.

We've been spraying Kashmir, let's face it, we just sold a couch the other day and my

son, grandson, he gets the money and he's just like.

It was hilarious.

But yeah, we haven't been super diligent on lowering the expenses in our life.

We've been mainly focused on growing our income, which were both definitely done, but now we're

at a point where it's come time to focus again on saving money in our lives, both in our

personal lives and in our business.

And so today we want to talk about 10 things that we've cut from our budget.

I'll do five Ben, we'll do five as well and hopefully you guys can get some help.

Some tips out of this as well.

Yeah, for sure.

Because there's been some money that, you know, I didn't even realize I was spending

probably like you guys right now and you know, hopefully this video will let a lot of cleanup

those costs.

Yep.

So it is, it does feel really liberating to really start to focus on this and work out

how can I still live a really good life, but how can I spend less money at the same time?

So this isn't about living off baked beans for the next three years, hating your life,

driving your health into the ground because you're not eating properly or living in a

complete dump.

This is about areas of your life that you can cut expenses, but you can still live a

really happy life and a really fulfilling life and have some of those little luxuries

as well.

The thought of taking something away that's not the reason why I've been cutting costs

in my life.

Like it's just been because I just like saving money and I don't like overspending on things

where I can say to hate the money.

So the things that I've cut haven't been for a particular raising it, it's more just because

I enjoy doing that as a, as something to do.

So it's less about just, I don't know, it's less about just living super frugally, but

it's more about, yeah, saving that extra money that you can then use to invest that you can

then use to achieve financial freedom faster.

Definitely.

So this might be to save a deposit.

This might be to buy a property or this might be to pay off debt if you've got those foundational

properties to pay them off faster.

Absolutely.

So what's your number one?

Okay, so number one is groceries.

Now I've got two kids who are dairy and gluten intolerant and so naturally a lot of the groceries

that we were buying can get quite expensive when you're looking at those sorts of dietary

requirements.

But there were a lot of stuff in the groceries that were just.

We didn't need to spend as much on even things like milk because we drink soy and almond

milk.

Buying that from Audi.

Instead of buying that from Woolworth, you're paying a dollar 80 instead of $3 and Addie

is saved because my wife and I shop there too, at least 35 percent at least.

It's insane how much money it saves you.

So I think saving on groceries has been a big thing and also just focusing on buying

exactly what groceries that we need and then eating the groceries that we have.

There's so many times that things have just gone to waste because you know, we've bought

too much and haven't focused on just buying what we need is a whole thing there as well.

Like you and I both liked this concept of just slow living and more thoughtful living

in.

I think wasting is one of the worst things that you can do for the planet.

You know, not that that's what it's about, but I just, I liked the idea of doing less

formal.

So groceries have been a massive one for me to cut it up, isn't it?

What about your eighth?

We'll have to edit that.

Start out that we were getting like your five then my five.

Um, so one for one.

A simple one that I think you guys could easily applies.

I've obviously always been with life at Telstra, Vodafone or an obvious for them on a ball.

I thought it was just normal to pay 100, 120 bucks a month for unlimited everything.

Audi, who is a supermarket brand car brand is sponsored by Audi guys.

It's definitely not, um, that, you know, I've just hooked onto their phone playing my work

phone is now 15 bucks a month for unlimited calls, unlimited texts and my personal phone

is 45 bucks a month and that gives me unlimited calls, texts plus, um, everything that I need

Internet wise.

So instead of spending 200 to 20 month, um, you know, effectively between them spending

60 bucks, it's a massive saving.

I had the same thing and that was from the video that we created where we're talking

about this sort of stuff is that I went from spending about, I think it was 145 per month.

I had a plan that had just finished.

I was actually looking at upgrading to one of the newer iphones, which would then put

me on a plan for about $150 per month.

But instead I decided to try Audi, which didn't work.

I had this weird, I had this weird porting issue that was super rare.

Anyway, I went back to Telstra, but I'm on Telstra prepaid and I pay $30 a month.

I get unlimited calls, unlimited text and I get eight Gig of data.

So I've gone from $145 a month down to $30 a month.

And then I was looking, my phone was broken and so I was looking at a new phone and I

just bought an old iphone seven off Ebay.

I think I spent $360 to get an iphone seven rather than upgrading to the iphone 10 or

what I did, like I bought my phone outright so that I could get on the cheaper plan and

it's a huge saving over a two year plan.

Even the phone costs plus 30 bucks a month.

That might be like $700.

That'll pay over the course of a year.

That's.

So that's like four or five months of a regular plan of $150.

So.

Awesome.

Yeah, so we both have that one.

My next one is smashed avocado, smashed down.

What I mean by this is that I love my coffee, which you guys probably know if you love coffee

too, you're one of my people, but often I would go out for coffee, but then I would

also get breakfast.

Then I would go out with my kids and then I would also get them breakfast or I would

buy them one of those gluten free dairy free cupcakes.

That's like $9.

So now instead of going out for breakfast and doing that, I just do that a lot less.

So it's not that I never do it, it's that I just don't do it religiously.

Like I was doing it multiple times per week and now I'll do it on special occasions.

Like if we're going out, I know that we're going out on, no, we're going to spend money

on that and I'll choose a place where I'll get good food for not as much pen and paper

because I need to write that one down.

For me, one of my favorite things to do because I'm a dad of three, they're all young, is

to just walk down the road where I leave and as some epic little coffee shops down there

and you know, I don't drink coffee so I'll have to buy food and it ends up being a $60

plugin, coffee run, um, at least twice a week we do that and it's just such a huge waste

of money when the quality of the food in my house, in the projects and I'm buying so much

better anyway.

It's just something that goes so quickly, something that you don't notice when you're

not conscious about it and you just go out for coffee and end up buying breakfast for

everyone.

It's just like shivers there go $60, $70.

How did that even happen?

So just being conscious of that and cutting that out.

Then I'll go out, I'll get a coffee and then I'll go to the bakery next door and I'll buy

some stuff from the kids there.

So I ended up spending $15 on the whole morning instead of 60.

Oh that's cool man.

Get the morning out, take them to the beach or take them to the park, which is an epic

spot to have breakfast.

I'll have coffee anyway.

Just not eating enough the cafes, but taking it out.

It's hard way you've been living too because far out there's some good places and another

one for me is for years and years and years, like from buying properties and owning cars

and stuff.

I've just sort of always been with the one insurance provider.

I don't know why.

I think there's a, there's a rule in insurance in

banking, which is if you've got more than three products with somebody, the likelihood

of that client leaving is about five percent of the longterm.

Like that is so hooked in and that's why they constantly trying to sell you into multiple

products because they know that it keeps retention.

And what I did recently is I just reviewed all of my insurances and ended up saving myself

about 30, 35 percent again.

And who did you end up going to?

Um, so I've always been with Allianz, which are, from my perspective, they've been fantastic

from a coverage perspective.

Like, I've had a couple of, I had a client of attendant burned down one of my granny

flats and they were amazing to deal with through that thing because I had the right cover in

place, um, but I've, you know, been seeing the ads on TV and seeing those guys talking

about saving money.

And so what I did is I went to, I went to Suncorp and I went to, um, I was really sick

a few weeks ago and had two days to do nothing and I went to Ra Ricq and then I compared

them on every single one of my policies across every product

and the four providers.

And then half of my stuff's still with Allianz and some of my stuff's now with Youi.

But even the threat to Alianza may sliding the, someone else was enough to pull them

down as well.

So you're able to save money on the insurance policies you had with Allianz because you

were threatening to leave because I had a bunch of policies with themselves, like the

motor policy discount that there hadn't been applying.

Thanks.

Thanks guys.

So the next one for me was alcohol.

This is something again that I just wasn't being really conscious of.

I love having a beer or love having a wine, but I was just doing it more than was necessary.

I wasn't getting drunk every night or anything like that, but he ain't doing nothing but

it was just commonplace to go to the bottle shop and to buy a case of a craft beer and

dropped $70 or something.

Have Goodyear.

Yes.

I've got to say.

Um, and so now, yeah, it's, it's more of a conscious choice to.

It would just be like, well we'd have alcohol in our house.

And so at night if you'd want to be, there'll be one there.

Before you knew it, you'd had two beers, each main Kale, that's four beers.

They're like four or $5 each.

Save Jack and Becca case every weight without even trying.

Maybe not that much.

But um, but yeah, so just being more conscious of alcohol consumption and then buying it

when I know I'm going to drink it and just buying what I need and not having it as like

a go to in the fridge and rather just drinking water instead.

And so then if I'm having friends over or something like that, I'll go out and I'll

buy a bottle of wine or buy some alcohol, but just not having it there has saved me

a bunch of money.

That's cool.

Um, another thing that saved me some good money and we'll continue to save me money

in the feature is I've just moved into a home that I plan on spending a long time in.

And so I knew that as soon as I moved into a home that I was going to spend time in,

I'd put solar on the roof.

So I'll put a six and a half kilowatt system on the other week for three and a half thousand

bucks.

Like it's so cheap now.

Solar, it's insane.

After the government discount, I worked out that I was paying about 1800 bucks a year

in power because I have a pool and just because of the way that we leave, um, so I worked

out, you know, just over two years I'll get a full return on my investment and then for

the next 20 years it's just a 2000 bucky saving effectively.

It's awesome.

So it'll take two years to pay off the solar in terms of savings and then it's just free

coin after that.

Yeah.

I got an electricity bill for last quarter.

It was $39 in credit and I was like, what the hell, like this is awesome and this incredible,

incredibly positive.

Um, and it's been rainy and shocking up here.

Like it feels like the ages now.

So that's awesome that obviously that's restricted to people who own their own home, but definitely

something to look into for sure.

Definitely.

I log into trying to do solo for rental properties and it's basically extremely difficult to

do even if you have your own freestanding panels to get it wide open, to Redo the literacy.

It's just, it's not a five high, so unfortunately that's the only phone occupiers 90 people

that want to stay for a minimum of three years.

So yeah, because if you then rent out the property solid doesn't really add value to

the rental.

No, it's great for the tenants because they're paying as much centricity.

Yes.

But as a owner, renting out your property as an investor, it's probably not gonna make

you more money.

And so my last thing was my daily coffee as well as energy drinks as well.

So again, it was just not being conscious of it and buying coffee multiple times throughout

the day when I was out because I drink like two to four coffees a day.

Oh Wow.

I think I love my coffee habit for you.

So when you go out, especially because I drink almond milk as well, so they chuck an extra

fifty cents or so dollar on for that.

I was at a place that other day an extra dollar for almond milk, a little cup.

Say, Oh, I actually love how you pay a dollar for something that tastes worse.

I don't drink dairy.

Dairy doesn't sit well with me and it doesn't taste worse.

It's delicious.

He used to it.

Now they're like the little chunky bits.

Have you ever had.

This is a Vegan, right?

I don't drink coffee.

I don't drink.

I'm not a coffee snob.

Right?

Yeah.

So just again, having coffee at home and then when I'm going out for coffee, I know I'm

going out for coffee and I'm doing it because I'm going out with friends and I see that

as an investment into US spending time together.

And again, it's like five or $10 there and so it's not that big a deal, but when you're

doing it multiple times a day and it's like 10 or $15 per day that you're spending, that's

about $100 a week.

Is this why you have amy as much lately?

Because every time we do, you buy me a complete chair and you're like, fuck you man.

I'm cutting the budget and I'm saving 10 bucks every time, once a month.

And now as I'm moving to Sydney to save on Kombucha, which, um, another thing that is

saved

me an absolute fortune in like the biggest saving in my life in the last 12 months is

obviously with my own home, which I have some debt on as well as the investment properties

which are half dead on.

I'm paying interest to the bank.

Um, so about 12 months ago as some of these rules around lending decided to kick in.

What I found is that the difference between an interest on the timeline and a homeland

with interest plus principle where you're paying down the debt, that the percentage

that you're paying in interest for each of them changed dramatically.

Um, with an interest only loan, I could get a rate of about four point eight percent or

five percent with a principal and interest loan, I could get rates as low as three point

eight percent, four percent.

And so I went principle and initially now that's not for everyone.

Not everyone can afford to do that.

Cashflow was.

But for me, it represented a saving in itself of over 20 grand a year that one percent.

And then I refinanced the bunch of properties because the banks are so competitive for your

business right now, are refinanced to a bunch of different lenders or just spoke directly

to the banks and all of them pulled my rates down by at least another half of a percent

doing that.

So I reckon that those two things probably saved me 30,000 bucks in the last year, which

is just so much dead money.

It's crazy.

So now that's now me to pay 30 grand in the last year off in principle repayments and

it's a much better longterm position.

Yeah.

That will allow you to pay off your properties so much faster.

Yeah,

because it's 30 grand this year than 30 grand next year.

And then obviously you've got the positive compounding effects that you're now paying

less interest each year and you're going to pay it off faster.

So I remember reading this article recently from the barefoot investor where he said if

you pay just 500 bucks off your property per month on top of your regular repayments, it

saves the average person about nine years on the life of their life.

And over $100,000 of say $500 a month, just 500 bucks a month.

He said.

But yeah, it's, it was just interesting concept for me.

I hadn't heard that stuff until recently.

Yeah.

Well obviously the more you pay off in the beginning, the faster, the more the more years

you have for that positive compounding effect of work in your favor.

For sure.

Um, is there anything else that you would add in terms of savings that or things you've

cut out of your budget this year?

The other big thing from a business perspective is I've just changed premises to sell me.

That's, I'm a little bit more moderate and a shitload cheaper that's put me in a much

better position as well.

And that's something that I will be doing.

I'm moving down to Sydney so I will be renting for cheaper than I'm renting up here.

That's be moving into something small because it's Sydney, but I do love tiny house living

and so yeah, rent is something that I guess I have been excessive with in the past and

not really focused on how can I get a more affordable property, but given my circumstances

now that's something that we'll be looking at because I have to move anyway.

I want to make sure that I'm not paying excessive rent because if I'm saving 50 or $100 per

week, that's money that I'm going to be using to pay off debt or money that I'm going to

be using to save the deposit in order to purchase property.

Actually, there's one other tip for investors that has been really powerful for me in the

last year as well.

I'll just add, um, I always, because I'm a bit ocd, I like to have things in categories

and boxes as you know, and I always had a home loan for each investment property that

I had with an offset account and I got all of the rent for each property paid into the

offset account.

All the costs taken out of that offset account so that it was clean from an accounting perspective

at the end of the financial year.

And also just clean in my mind, but what I've done, because I'm getting all of this rent

for these properties now,

I've actually started to park all of.

I've got all the renter repayments coming straight out of my offset account and then

all of the costs for each property also getting taken out of the offset account against my

own home.

And so, you know, rather than having it in the offset account of the individual investment

properties, you're getting an old pooled into the offset account of your own home.

And then the expenses are coming out of that one.

That's exactly it.

And because that is non tax deductible debt, it's a better place to put it in.

So let's say over the course of the year, I'm getting over $100,000 of income from rent

put into that account.

You know, $100,000 at a five percent interest rate is another $5,000 that I'm saving, which

you know, I've been wasting for years.

And years and years for no reason, and so there's tax benefits for that, which you guys

can talk to your accountants about in order to organize that, but they have a bunch of

things that we've caught out of our budget this year.

I'm continually looking at my life and looking for ways to save money, so if you guys have

other ideas, please leave them in the comment section down below.

I'm really excited to live a good life, but to not have excessive expenses because what

I found is that the higher your expenses, the more money you need to make in order to

be happy and if you can make less.

If you can build up that savings buffer in your life because you're spending less than

you earn, then you can invest, move towards financial freedom.

You can live a better and more fulfilling life than if you're just being frivolous with

your money.

Like I feel like I was over the last couple of years.

Yeah, I completely agree with that.

Like a simple life with lower overhead costs, main set, you've got more choices and more

choices.

Ultimately, traits, more fulfillment.

To me, yeah, and I think, I guess one thing that I would add to that is one big savings

that I'm having in my life is just living a more minimalistic life, so less furniture,

less homework, sorta staff.

Even my clothing has been simplified and so living a minimalist life and not just acquiring

excessive stuff has been a massive difference for me.

Saving on kids' toys as well as I just training my kids to be happy with the things that they

have and to find enjoyment out of the things that they have and living a more minimalistic

lifestyle that's going to save me thousands of dollars as well that I don't notice because

it's not regular weekly money that I'm spending, but just choosing to live consciously and

minimalist just means I don't think about going to came on every week and buy new toys

for the kids that they just played with the Duplo in the Lego that we have a.

yeah, I love that Bro.

And another huge saving in your life that you haven't mentioned.

Two of my sisters have Vegan.

I was vegetarian for like 10 months later, has been vegetarian for like a year before

is just not eating nate too, like we don't have to go down that path, but that would

be saving you 40 to 50 percent of your weekly food as well.

I guess expensive.

I guess I didn't think of it because I haven't bought me in so many years, but yeah, stakes

can cost $10 each if you blind laying chocks.

Really expensive.

I know it's something outside of this, but it's just all of these little things stack

up and it means that you've got to live this life that you've got to live sooner.

Yeah, so I'm really excited for that in my life.

I hope that you guys are excited as well to cut some costs out of your life, but to also

live a really great life and to move towards financial freedom.

Why are you here?

"Aitai Lonely Christmas" Translation by eri

Even though I want to see you, I want to see you

I just want a little glimpse of your face

Can I spend my Christmas with you?

This is the first time I've felt like this

You know, our time talking on the phone

Has gotten shorter bit by bit

I guess I'm a coward

Just waiting like this

I'm so lonely, even even

If I pretend not to, I love you, I love you

Or if try to forget, I love you, I love you

But, I still believe

I'm waiting for you

This is what I tell myself...

Though I want to see you, I didn't say a word

When I hung up my phone again tonight

Buying Christmas presents

I have a smile on my face but feel miserable

It seems my mom has caught on a little

Even though I say nothing is wrong

I really want to cry and tell her everything

I wonder what I should do

Though I keep raising, just just

Your bad points, it's hopeless, hopeless

Everything's so adorable I love you, I love you

But you know, in truth

I'm suffering and feeling weak

At those times, the phone rings...

Even though I want to see you, I want to see you

I just want a little glimpse of your face

Can I spend my Christmas with you?

This is the first time I've felt like this

I just want to see you, I just want to see you

I just want to see you, okay? I just want to see you, that's all

Just one moment on Christmas is enough

I want to be spoiled by you

Even though I want to see you, I want to see you

I just want a little glimpse of your face

Can I spend my Christmas with you?

This is the first time I've felt like this

Arsenal star Mkhitaryan offers injury update on Christmas Day - Duration: 2:12.

Mkhitaryan fractured his metatarsal playing for Arsenal in their EFL Cup defeat to Tottenham last week

He was subbed off at half time and subsequently missed the 3-1 win over Burnley at the weekend

Mkhitaryan has been ruled out for six weeks, meaning he likely won't be back in acton until the end of January

But the ex-Manchester United playmaker posted a positive message on Twitter for fans on Christmas Day

Smiling at the camera, he wrote: "Really touched by all your wishes for a prompt recovery

"Thank you Fans! Coming back stronger." The message was well received by Arsenal fans, who are keen for the Gunners to kick on after an excellent start to the season

Arsenal only saw a 22-game unbeaten run ended this month when they were downed 3-2 at Southampton

They recovered from the Saints and Spurs defeats to beat Burnley at the weekend and face Brighton on Boxing Day

Mkhitaryan will likely miss games against Liverpool, Fulham, West Ham and Chelsea

He will also be out of the FA Cup third-round tie with Blackpool on January 5. All being well, Arsenal could have him back for a clash with Cardiff on January 29

However, a more realistic return date may be the Manchester City clash at the start of February - or even Arsenal's trip to Huddersfield on February 9

Endvisible - Borne of Effort (Full Album Mix) - Duration: 44:01.

Let me live inside your stomach.

Only wake to peek outside.

You created me. I have nowhere to hide.

There's a demon in your lover.

It's been picking at his skin.

Don't be angry when it eats him from within.

Let me live inside your stomach.

Only wake to peek outside.

You created me. I have nowhere to hide.

There's a demon in your lover

It's been picking at his skin.

Don't be angry when it eats him from within.

Oh, and I will not leave you

when you want me to.

I'll remain inside.

Oh, and I will not leave you

when you brought me to life.

I'll stay.

Survive.

(Oh, and I will not leave you)

(when you want me to.)

(I'll remain inside.)

(Oh, and I will not leave you)

(when you brought me to life.)

(I'll stay.)

I guess if you really want to think about it like that,

then,

maybe you could say the whole thing was some huge metaphor for, um...

doing what you want to do.

Or, um,

continuing to do what you want to do,

even when

the world, or Society, tells you not to.

Tells you that it doesn't belong; doesn't fit.

That, uh...

it just isn't right.

But...

Here's the — Here's the thing. Who...

Who in the world...

decided what was...

good for Society? Who decided what was gonna fit?

There's, really, no such thing as, "normal."

I mean...

I can make music...

that has...

the weirdest sounds of all time...

but, there's always gonna be somebody that tops it...

makes weirder music.

And there's always gonna be somebody that takes it to the next level and...

repeats the same thing over and over again. No matter how good it sounds, eventually, it gets old.

So, with everybody trying to make something different...

something new...

who's to say what's normal and what isn't?

But, like, they send you away...

and they tell you, "Don't do that anymore. That's not what Society wants. That's not what the world wants."

But the beauty of it comes into when you're...

When you're alone, when you're shut in...

you end up just getting better at it,

completely...

contrary...

to what they wanted.

You get...

so much better at it, in fact, that you become...

an unstoppable force.

Like, say you're the first to do something, and they tell you not to do it, well...

If you're the only one doing it...

then you're the best at it.

And they can't shut you down anymore, so you can come back to them and say, "Look at this!"

"You can't shut me down anymore."

"In fact..."

"It's just enough..."

"to where I'm going to be remembered."

"And..."

"you might think of that..."

"as bad, but..."

"You've created something that can't be stopped. I mean, you've created a monster."

News24 - 5 talking points from Man United's win over Cardiff - Duration: 5:00.

'Tis the season to be Ole.Gunnar Solskjaer, that is.  The former Manchester United striker, installed as interim manager this week after Jose Mourinho was given the boot, enjoyed a dream start, overseeing a 5-1 thrashing of Cardiff away from home

Encouragingly for United fans, the players turned it on, playing slick, flowing attacking football

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring inside five minutes, firing in a free-kick, before Ander Herrera's deflected effort from 25 yards sailed past Neil Etheridge

Anthony Martial then slotted home after some quick, neat interplay between the United attackers

Jesse Lingard helped himself to a second-half brace.  There was enough evidence to suggest Solskjaer could be the man to get the Red Devils back on track

Here are five things we noticed in his first match in charge. Attacking football is BACK  United seemed to have lost much of their attacking identity under Jose Mourinho, but just one game under Solskjaer seems to have gone some way to bringing it back

The Red Devils had over 70% possession away from home and their transition from defence to attack was noticeably quicker than it was under Mourinho

Anthony Martial's excellent goal, which came after quick passes exchanged on the edge of the Cardiff penalty area, was indicative of United's positive, confident approach

Pogba MUST play  United's £89m man was publicly lambasted and later left out by Jose Mourinho, but the flamboyant Frenchman showed just how important he is to the team with his performance against Cardiff

He had a key role to play in each of United's three goals in the opening 45 minutes, displaying everything that's good about his offensive play, from slick passing to strong running

If Solskjaer is to be successful at the club, he'll have to find a way of getting Pogba to perform consistently well between now and the end of the season

Rashford's rampant - but still raw  Marcus Rashford is a major talent, of that there is no doubt

He proved it inside the first five minutes against Cardiff, scoring with a clever free-kick, struck hard and low to evade the wall and goalkeeper Neil Etheridge

But later in the half, the 21-year-old showed why Mourinho didn't always trust him to start, giving away a penalty with an unfortunate handball

Yes, it was a bit unlucky, but it could also be put down, partly at least, to the over-exuberance of youth

Similarly, his miss when through on goal in the second half only emphasised why patience is required with England's rising star

New penalty taker?  After Pogba had seen his penalty - which followed a 26-step run-up saved against Everton back in October, Mourinho insisted the midfielder would remain on spot-kick duty

He was wrong. When referee Michael Oliver pointed to the spot in the second half, Jesse Lingard immediately snatched the ball, taking on the responsibility

The England attacker buried it. Good luck getting the ball from him next time, Paul

Calm down, it's only Cardiff  Cardiff might stay in the Premier League this season

And if they do, Neil Warnock, who hardly spent a penny in summer, will deserve massive, massive credit

But let's be honest - they're average at best.  Given the gulf in quality between the players in the United team and those in the Cardiff team, we shouldn't be surprised to see a the Red Devils handing out a thrashing

The signs from Solskjaer's team were positive, but let's judge them and him after they've faced Tottenham away next month
