Hey guys in this video, I will breakdown the preview trailer of Dragon Ball Super Episode
89.
Previously, Goku recruited Android 17, and we see Gohan and Piccolo having an intense
training session.
However, in the next episode Goku will go to the Kame House to invite Master Roshi to
join the Universe 7 team for the tournament of power but will get redirected to Tien's
martial arts academy by Oolong as Roshi is currently there, but things start to get weird
at Tien's dojo.
As his students, and also Master Roshi seems to be possessed or out of control.
They basically turn and start getting aggressive and attacking.
They all have a similar purplish aura.
We also see this scroll like thing on Roshi and others face, we don't exactly know what
that is, but most probably it took them under some kind of spell which made them go rogue
or someone is able to control their mind.
The mysterious beauty named Yurin is also shown, most fans thought it would be launch
from Dragon Ball, but looks like that's not the case.
She has an evil smirk on, the way she is laughing makes us feel like, she might be the one behind
all the chaos.
She looks suspiciously similar to Chi Chi when she was younger, wonder if she is related
with Chi Chi in anyways, but what could be the reason she is doing all this if she is
indeed behind this.
Maybe she's from another Dojo, and they are just trying to mess shit up over here.
Or could it be a case like this is that one naughty student who has a crush on Tien, 'Notice
me senpai' scenario, if you know what I mean, I bet you know more than you should?
Anyway, on the brighter side, we get to see Goku fight his Master.
I wouldn't really call it a rematch; he is just fighting off an out of control Roshi,
and probably trying to get him out of that spell or whatever that is.
Let's just take a little back at the history of Master Roshi, The last time they fought
was in the finale of 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, and that fight is still one of
the best ever.
That was a mind-blowing battle if you haven't seen that yet you must.
The fight contained a lot of materials Kamehameha wave battle, after image technique, Drunken
Master or Drunken Fist technique, while Kid Goku uses his Monkey style combat, Roshi even
hypnotized Goku into sleeping.
Then Goku turned into his Great Ape form, but Roshi destroyed the moon reverting Goku
back to normal, and Roshi ended up winning the match.
For those of you who don't know, Roshi actually participated in the tournament disguised as
Jackie Chun only to ensure that Kid Goku or Krillin doesn't win the tournament, in order
to keep him hungry for gaining more powers.
This highlights just how dedicated he was as a master, and I think the basic style that
he built for Goku is what made Goku so special.
Then, in the 22nd World Martial Arts tournament, Roshi kinds of retires or passes the torch
to Tien, when he realizes Tien was strong enough to hold back Goku.
After that, we don't really see him engage in too many fights, apart from his encounter
with King Piccolo.
Now, coming back to DBS, in order to better understand where Roshi currently stands.
It is strongly implied, that Roshi kept training throughout these years, as he was in the battle
against Frieza's army, and was able to perform up to the mark.
It was said that Yamcha and Chiatzuo were too weak for that battle, which is why they
were not called.
It means Roshi is either stronger than Yamcha or is at the very least more useful than him
in a battle situation.
Another incident with Roshi is that Goku and Krillin brought him that mystical weed or
whatever it was, but the point is, that was able to renew Roshi's energy.
You know Roshi is kind of immortal, he can be killed, but he won't die naturally.
He has lived for hundreds of years, so an energy boost was necessary.
Now, we know he is in the tournament of power, and the rules of the tournament fall in line
perfectly for him.
The Battle Royal is more about strategy and technique than Power, and Roshi is a master
of both.
Also, Opponents who might have more power than him won't be able to one shot kill
him, as that is also against the rule.
Roshi can utilize all that using his battle intelligence, and years of experience.
Back to the preview, in this shot Tien looks pretty serious, this guy is the most ripped
member of the team, as he is also one of the hardest workers.
Hopes high for him too, fans who remember how badass he was in Dragon Ball, you know
he also defeated Kid Goku.
We just want to see him get the spotlight he deserves.
Tien will actually get linked to the next episode, as he will probably go with Goku
and they'll team up to fight Piccolo and Tien according to the spoilers.
It even says that Tien will use some unique moves, and it will be a fun episode to watch
for us!
Besides, Tien's martial arts academy sounds like an interesting concept.
Maybe it could be the training center for the newer generation like Pan, UUB, Goten
and Trunks...
Tien could be like Master Roshi for them.
It would be like a great adventure to the younger fighters.
Much like what Goku had back in the Dragon Ball Days, would develop their pure martial
arts skills to a great extent, which with power could be very dangerous!
Really loving how Super is paying attention to all these human Z fighters.
If you have been following channel for long, you know I have been demanding this ever since
the first episode of Super.
It's like going exactly the way, I and many other fans who felt the show shouldn't be
only about the Saiyan wanted it to.
They are some fans though who keeps bitching about how they should just start the tournament
already, and there shouldn't be any character development or anything like that, they just
want action and action, no story.
I feel like this about them, attaching a meme that I found on FB, that's exactly how I
think of the fans who keep bitching about the pacing.
The pacing of this arc is just like DBZ, something that previous arcs didn't have.
This is the only DBS arc, which is not being rushed.
So, guys what do you think about all this?
