BBC drags UK into North Korea crisis after 'provocative' radio show enrages Kim Jong-Un

The BBC is set to launch a Korean language news service, which will be broadcast in North Korea - despite repeated. to back down from the provocation and warned of a backlash amid growing international tensions over its nuclear missile tests.

The Korean language service is one of 11 new languages set to be launched by the BBC over the next few weeks in the biggest expansion of the World Service since the 1940s.

BBC officials have admitted that a reaction from the North Korean regime was likely, but the British broadcasters have refused to bow to .   .

Francesca Unsworth, who heads the BBC World Service, said the had told the BBC in no uncertain terms should the Korean service be launched.

She said: I met with the embassy here in London and they told us in no uncertain terms that they didn't want us to launch this service. Despite this, Jamie Angus, who is Mrs Unsworths deputy, defended the move.

He denied claims that the move was political, instead insisting that the service could help de-escalate tensions.

Mr Angus told the BBC Newswatch: There is an audience with a strong news need, and we can provide that free access to reliable and independent news.   .

The service will broadcast a half-hour radio programme in the middle of the night so people have the opportunity to listen under their bedclothes without telling the neighbours.

The controversial launch comes after Donald Trump, the US president, said that was begging for war after a series of missile tests.

The BBC said that research revealed that young people in North Korea are not as beholden to the regime as their parents. They added that there is an appetite for learning information not provided by the government.

Re: What I'm grateful to have~ - Duration: 13:25.

Hello, this is CamMan.

Normally I don't make videos like this but

earlier today Markey Jester made a video about what he's grateful to have

so I decided to make a response video.

I'll start off with my bed. It's nice, it's big, it's very comfortable.

So over here is an old toy that I got from a close friend of mine.

Now you're supposed to be able to flip it over and the sand would fall down through some blue liquid,

but as you can see the blue liquid has dried out so it's kind of stuck now,

but I still keep it around to remind me of my friend.

He's the first real friend I [made.] Back when I was kid I had a lot of

fake friends that were pretty nasty to me in hindsight.

But that's all in the past now.

Over here is my collection of video games or at least most of it.

Here we have my XBox 360 games, my PS2 games,

Sega Saturn games, Dreamcast, GameCube, N64, and PS1 games.

And on this side here is a Knuckles doll that I got from the State Fair.

And over here is a box where I keep card sleeves and Gameboy Advance games.

Then over here [are] my shelves of game consoles.

And I have a model [2] Genesis over there.

And at the top I have a Sonic doll that I also got from the State Fair.

And next to it is a scanner.

It's a pretty old scanner but it works really well and I hope to use it some more soon.

Just haven't felt like the mood for drawing lately.

Hanging on the side is a couple cards, this is a YuGiOh card

and this is a Cardfight Vanguard card.

This one's special to me because one year there was a big Vanguard tournament

that I wasn't able to go to so one of my best friends, Trent, got me this card as a souvenir.

It's really nice.

It's a special version of one of my favorite cards in the game,

Goddess of the Full Moon Tsukuyomi.

Over here is my TV.

As you can tell it's an old [CRT] TV but I like it.

Down here is the cable box.

As you can see there's a card taped to the side of it.

It's to block out the LEDs because they bother me during the night

and there's no option to completely turn it off so I had to do that.

Back over here [are] my curtains.

These are special blackout curtains that make the room dark during the day,

mainly to deal with screen glare and lights bother me so it's nice to be able to block it out.

And hanging on side here is lanyards for various tournaments that I went to.

One for FutureCard Buddyfight, one for Vanguard, and another for each.

So over here is some stuff that I'm planning to sell to a friend of mine,

and...

one thing in particular is the complete English collection of Dot Hack games,

the first four and the three from the G.U. series.

As I understand these are pretty rare games and I wanted to keep them but I need money you know.

Here is a Game & Watch Collection I got from Club Nintendo.

Miscellaneous computer parts, and a case for the Nintendo DS.

And random stickers for no reason.

And in the tins are YuGiOh cards.

Over in the closet we have a few miscellaneous [game] mats.

One for YuGiOh,

one for Vanguard,

and one for Weiβ Schwarz.

I don't have any Weiβ Schwarz cards yet but I hope to get a deck of it soon.

Particularly of this anime, Konosuba.

Over here is a YuGiOh duel disk and I have modified it.

Kind of ruined the value of it but I like how it looks now.

Then over here is an old art piece I did.

Which ended up being a major mistake,

I kind of wish I did it a lot better.

So over here is more miscellaneous things.

This is a mat tube with a Vanguard mat in it.

And then this here is [where] most of my Kingdom Hearts cards [are.]

So let's see if I can open it up real quick.

There we go.

I won't spend too much time looking at them.

I love this game but it just didn't last very long.

It's a shame, but that tends to happen to licensed card games.

So over here is my backpack, and I've had this since high school. It's been really good,

and only one part on it broke after all these years and it's not even [an] important [part.]

On top of here is my collection of YuGiOh HeroClix figures.

And on the side is the maps that go with them.

This is one of my computer screens.

Down here is another HeroClix figure.

On the side is some more YuGiOh cards

and some more Vanguard cards.

As you can tell I'm a very big card game nerd.

Here are some deck boxes.

[???]

This one has a Buddyfight deck in it based around Abygale.

And then more YuGiOh cards.

And...

here is a deck for a card game that I'm working on called CaDa TCG.

This is just a test print.

Hopefully I can get another test print ready soon.

After that I hope it's good enough to where

I can feel comfortable with putting it up for sale on The Game Crafter.

This over here is a pin that I got back when I was a little little kid.

My parents brought [me and my siblings] to Disneyland for a weekend.

They thought we should experience that at least once.

And got it there.

It's nice.

So over here is my other computer monitor.

As you can tell is an older CRT monitor.

I don't see any need to replace it at the moment, it works just fine.

And then down here is my 3DS and a case from Club Nintendo.

And it holds a total of 18 games.

So I mostly filled it with games that have DS Download Play.

And then finally is the computer itself.

So this is something I'm very very grateful for.

A couple of years ago I had a different computer here.

I [had] to replace the computer before it because [it had] XP [and] the updates [had ended] for XP.

So I figured [my family] needed to replace [our] computers.

They were getting really old anyway.

So I got the computer, but I went cheap on it,

[and] then after a year at that computer died on me with its hard drive and motherboard failing.

So for a while I had to use an old laptop that a friend gave me

and it's really old but it still worked okay but I couldn't really [work on] most of my projects

and sometimes just got really frustrating to use.

However during that time my parents slowly helped get the parts together for me

to build my own computer.

So,

I'm very very grateful for that

I'm just really happy to have a really really good computer now.

I hope [to] do a lot more with it.

mm. Sorry.

They care about me a lot.

I try every day to...

show my gratitude.

Anyway, um, I don't really have anything else to show so I'll just end the video here.

In the beginning there was darkness.

Then God said,

"Let there be light," and there was.

He called the light 'day'

and the darkness He called 'night'.

God saw that it was good

and the evening and morning were the second day.

Then God divided the sky

from the waters

and He called it heaven.

God saw that it was good

Then God gathered the waters unto one place

so that dry land appeared.

God called them the seas and the earth.

And God said,

"Let the plants and trees grow from the earth,"

and it did, each plant bringing forth

it's own seed

and its own fruit.

God saw that it was good

and the evening and morning were the third day.

Then God said,

"Let there be lights in the heavens

to separate the night

from the day,

to mark the seasons,

the days, and the years.

God saw that it was good

and the evening and morning were the fourth day.

Then God created living creatures to roam

He blessed the birds

to be fruitful

and multiple

in the earth.

God saw that it was good

and the evening and morning were the fifth day.

Then God created

Then God said,

"Let us make man

So God created man and woman,

He blessed them

Palestinians: Why is there so much litter in the streets? - Duration: 10:47.

Qalandia, West Bank

Bethlehem

Qalandia Checkpoint

Nablus

Why do you think people litter here?

Tarit Beit Sahour

I believe that people who litter

show a lack of hygiene on their side

or perhaps a lack of

or perhaps a lack of garbage bins

It might be the municipality's fault

Meaning they have no choice

Yes, exactly

People have no choice

Why do people litter?

Khaled Nablus

Lack of understanding

Lack of morals

Samar Nablus

I can't judge why people throw litter on the road

because a person who threw or littered

I can't judge all Palestinians

according to that

that they don't have loyalty to their country

If a person keeps their country clean

that's because they love (their country)

and this is according to people's behaviours and attitudes

and not everyone litters

Don't take this as a stereotype

about Palestinians

Because many many Palestinians

around the world, have built other countries

or have helped build other countries with their knowledge and education

but this is a wrong stereotype about Palestinians

that they litter

We have had

several Palestinian educators

scientists

so we should have an educated and loving generation

and this is a wrong stereotype about Palestinians

that we like to litter

They are not correct

Wassim Ramallah

Noreen Ramallah

Because they are used to no one punishing them

and there have been no

no reasons no repurcussions

Why do people here litter?

Abdul Hamid Deheisha Refugee Camp

There is nothing prohibiting them

from throwing garbage on the street

We love our country

It's not that we don't love our country

There is no government (authority)

to prevent this and stop this from happening

If we had more organization more of a system

or had a real government

a right one that works properly

then this wouldn't happen

we wouldn't have litter on the streets

Mohamad Zatara

It's mostly because some people

would have a garbage can or bin beside them

Some people don't

so they throw on the ground

Because some people don't have

Some people don't have trash bins around them

and some people just don't have the morals

they lack the morals

You wouldn't believe how difficult it was to make sense out of the arrangement in the original. Remember, I only had the DS rip to work with.
