Hello this is 13N
From last video, you could see that my bike looks a bit different
because I changed the mirror back
last time I mentioned
that I am planning to sell this bike
yup
time for something new
people ask
you've test ridden so many bikes 13N
don't you want to get a new bike?
well, of course
so then I told my wife
that I want a new ride
she said sure. as supportive as always
yea, go ahead
sell your current bike, then you can get a new one
well..ok
yea, I guess so
two bike's the max for me
I am really lucky already
get to ride two different bikes here
if I want to try something different
then I must sell this one
this WR250X has been with me for a couple of years
from the early tutorials
at that time, we learned together
wait a min. why the emergency flasher?
something going on at the front?
I think there's a construction traffic light
so if you've watched my tutorial
and learned how to ride together
you should be pretty familiar with this bike
so I am probably not the only one that's
sad to see this bike go
if you like this bike, you are probably a bit sad too
weird, some burnt smell
not my bike. is it the car in front?
i think there's a construction
not sure what they are doing
wait amin. it's red light. what's that car doing
where is he going? no way
it's still red light. that means oncoming traffic...
usually on two lane road like this
if there's a traffic light like this
blocking another lane of traffic
it means the two lanes become just one in that section
so you need to let the others come by first
if you don't follow that
it's gonna get awkward
cuz you'd be stuck on one lane road
so when that car moved ahead, I am not sure where he went
of course, sometimes the light
will get lengthened
because it needs to ensure the road is completely clear
to let the other side come over
it'd be funny if the guy ended up reversing back
so as I was saying, I wanted to sell this bike
at this time of the year. better price
and I can keep
the money for
next bike's purchase
I am quite said, but also very excited
becuase once I sold it
I can start
shopping for bikes
see which bike i want to change to
I have some ideas
but haven't made up my mind yet
I just realized I haven't really introduced this bike
after so many videos
this is Yamaha's 249c.c. WR250X
I've told you that this is
a supermoto
the brother of trail bike WR250R
but in supermoto trim
6 speed
so if you are on the highway, 6 speed is quite useful
the downside is that the bike is tall
the R version has even taller seat
but I also had a video on how to
adjust rear preload
to kind of cheat and make the bike more comfortable for shorter riders
at the same time, I could reach the ground
as for the exhaust
full system FMF PowerCore
and I got it with fuel controller
so I could adjust them
quite basic controller
you can adjust how much fuel is going in when you give it gas or release gas
or even during cruising
to match the bike
when you get a full system
all of sudden, there are much less restriction in air flow
more air and with the same amount of fuel
might cause the bike to run lean
the best feature of this bike
is the low end torque right off the start
plenty of power
so you won't feel that the bike is slow
even though it's just a 250
and as you reach higher rpm
you will feel
the acceleration is lacking, at least down low
packs enough punch
unlike the Ninja 300
where the power doesn't come in
until high rpm
to finally feel that power like the WR
and it's a trail bike. no tachometer
no fuel gauge
just a fuel indicator for low gas
another thing I want to mention
you really get what you pay for
like this bike. especially when we look at the new WR250R
its sale price
is about the same as SV650
which means
the price you pay for a 250
could get you a 650 bike
so people might think you are insane
to buy a 250
you might think the engine is a lot less powerful
but the bike comes equipped with much higher end components
like fully adjustable suspension
and floating rotors.
you can't find that on a bike like ninja 300
impossible in that price range
oh Multistrada
I should have made a left turn
ran into traffic here
in this historic town
so many people
I am wondering what you guys would think
you might be thinking..
maybe 13N is going to
buy some beast-like motorcycles. super powerful. exotic etc
well, hard to say. I could get impulsive
sometimes when you like something, you just want it no matter what
Goldwing
Harley
but I am not limited to big bikes
like 125, say MSX(Grom)
or Z125 Pro those bikes
sometimes I want to buy them just to have fun too
even though I can't get on the highway
but If I solely ride on city street or express way
not gonna be any slower (I meant short distance)
could be a fun commute too
classic Paul Smart (Ducati)
I am not loyal to any brand either
not like all my bikes need to
be a Honda or all Kawasaki
it's only when I get a bike, then I will start following the brand a bit
I remember when I had the 600RR
I only wanted the Honda for the rest of my life
Honda's bike and car are awesome
after a while...well...
I think we could try other bikes too
doesn't have to have heart set on Honda
well..also that
Honda's recent line up
aren't that attractive. except maybe the 1000RR
i heard it's got issues tho
if you watch
Isle of Man TT, Tourist Trophy
You know Guy Martin
rides a CBR1000RR
the false neutral problem caused him to crash
he was so pissed off. I believe it's a SP2
so when you hear news like this
you lose a little confidence in Honda
ok, time to gas up
what a small tank. that's it?
one..one gallon?
no way
ok
1.24 gallon
yea super small gas tank
now that we are stopped. let's take a look
this bike. let me see
has full FMF system
Powercore
I have the fuel controller on the left beside the battery
hidden in there. I also put on the
hand guards
for trail bike, it's to prevent hitting the tree and branches
and it's useful if you happen to fall
really protects your clutch and brake lever
i installed frame sliders before
in the middle here. just removed them
because I am gonna part them out
better price if you part them out
as for tires. you probably know already
I run Michelin Pilot Street
very satisfied so far
it's not sticky like the
Bridgestone
BT-003RS
but it works well for commuting
the mirror was on the side there
but i've changed them back to stock
and the decal is changed too
oh, some people asked what this is
the rear plate here
I added this myself
luggage rack
sometimes when I take my wife out
I don't want her to carry heavy bags
cuz sometimes we carry backpacks
so I can tie the backpacks here
so it's easier on her shoulder
classic Yamaha color
blue, black and white
let' see
once I remove the parts, I can sell the bike
you might wonder why the signal flashes rapidly
when I switched to LED lights, I didn't put on resistors
or the relay module
so when they are put together
it flashesa lot faster.
I should have adjusted it, but I didn't
for this bike, the horsepower
is about 28 on wheel. close to 30
with full system, probably 30+
quite good for a 250c.c.
I also read somewhere
that the engine here
uses one cylinder of 08's R1
same design I believe
just one cylinder
sounds really cool right?
you could tell people that
the engine here is R1's 1/4
if you are like me and
going to miss this bike
good thing..you know
I always take my wife out on bike trips
and we actually documented them in videos
at least we've shared a lot of memories on this bike
I might put together the trip videos and share
with you guys
so when I talk about getting a new bike. it won't be brand nw
probably 2nd hand bike as well
better price
won't cost that much.
otherwise I will need to spend extra out of pocket to buy new bikes
alright.
well, by the time you see this video,
I probably have sold the bike already
I will miss you
well..hard to say
If I am getting into dirt bike
I might choose WR series again
or Honda CRF.
personally I wish I could get a new bike soon
basically get the new one
as soon as I sell this one
hard to say
alright,
that's it for this video
on behalf of my WR250X
bye bye everyone
