Let's say you have this case for your L2C
where you have a 3×4 block solved on the front face
and on the top face you have three pieces forming an almost-bar
and an oblique separated from it, like this.
The standard way of solving this is to insert these three pieces,
and then use a commutator for this piece.
However, in this specific case, there's a slightly faster algorithm.
So you align these three pieces with the slot they have to go into,
slice (i.e. 3R),
and then do something like two inverse sexy moves,
so: U r U' r' U r U'…
and for the last r', you can either turn three layers at once,
or [skip it and] go straight into edge pairing.
There's another case where you have the last oblique adjacent to these three pieces,
but for this one there's nothing better than just inserting it and doing the commutator as normal.
Then there's a final case which is where
the last oblique is opposite of the other three pieces,
and [solving] this one is also just to use a commutator.
But! In this case you can cancel the commutator into the insert.
So instead of inserting these three pieces, you just turn it 90°,
slice… and that's it.
