Ohhh..you're good at this Boo!
Uh-huh.
Hi everyone, it's been a while but welcome back to our alphabet series!
Hehe.
Today, Boo and I will be teaching you how to write all 26 letters of the alphabet.
Now as you may recall from our last video, the alphabet can be written in both upper
and lower cases.
The upper case being the grown up version of a letter, and lower case being the baby
version of a letter.
Now because there are 26 letters, this video is going to be a bit longer than usual.
That said, you can skip to a particular letter by clicking on one of the links in the description
box or you can stay with us here and learn all of it, starting from 'A'.
So, are we ready!
Okay, let's begin!
Okay, so starting with 'A' for apple.
The big letter is written by drawing a diagonal line down to the bottom right, then drawing
another diagonal line but to the bottom left and then connecting both with a horizontal
line in the middle.
So top to bottom top, top to bottom and then across in the middle.
Onto the small 'a', we'll be showing you an easier version, and not the one in the card.
So, to start, draw a small semi-circle, half the size of the big 'A' and finish with
a straight line down.
So a semicircle and a straight line.
Moving onto the letter 'B' for Boo, the big letter is written by drawing a straight
line from top to bottom, and then drawing two semi circles on top of each other, as
seen here.
So a straight line down, and then two semi circles.
The small 'b' is very similar, you begin by drawing a straight line from top to bottom,
but instead of two semi circles, you draw one on the lower half.
So a straight line down and then a semi-circle on the lower half.
Next is the letter 'C' for cat, meow.
Hehe.
To write the big letter, simply go around and draw a big semi-circle, that's right,
just around in a big semi-circle.
And as for the little 'c,' it's exactly the same, but just half the size of the big
letter 'C'.
So a semi-circle around.
Moving onto 'D' for diamond.
The big letter is written by drawing a straight line from top to bottom, and then drawing
a single semi-circle that connects both ends of the line together.
So straight line and semicircle.
For the small 'd', it's the opposite of the small 'b'.
Start by drawing a semi-circle on the bottom half, and then finish with a long straight
line from top to bottom.
So semi-circle and a long line.
Next is the letter 'E' for elephant.
To write the big letter, simply draw a straight line from top to bottom and then three equally
spaced horizontal lines next to it.
So a straight line down and 1-2-3 horizontal lines.
And as for the little 'e', it's written by drawing a straight horizontal line that
flows into a semi-circle.
So a straight horizontal line and a semi-circle.
Moving on, the next letter is 'F' for fish.
Similar to the big letter 'E', start by drawing a straight line from top to bottom
but instead of three lines, add only two, one at the top and one in the middle.
So that's a straight line down and then one line at the top and another in the middle.
Now the small 'f' is written by drawing a small arch from left to right and turning
it into a straight line down, followed by a horizontal line across in the middle.
So an arched line and a cross in the middle.
The next letter is 'G' for glasses.
To draw the big letter 'G', draw a big semi-circle by going around and then adding
a straight line across and down at the end.
So go around and then across and down.
Now, like the little 'a', we'll be showing you an easier baby 'g'.
Okay, so start by going around in a semi-circle, and then drawing a straight line down to the
bottom, curving it to the left.
So again, semi-circle, followed by a straight line curved to the left.
Moving on, the next letter is 'H' for House, to draw the big letter 'H', begin
by drawing two straight parallel lines next to each other from top to bottom.
Then connect both in the middle with another straight line across.
So top to bottom, top to bottom and then across.
The little 'h' is drawn with a straight line from top to bottom and then an arch from
the middle of the line to the bottom right.
So a straight line followed by an arch.
The letter 'I' for ice cream is next and it's really easy!
Just draw a straight line from top to bottom.
That's right, just top to bottom.
And if you really want to, you can also add two small horizontal lines on either end.
The small letter 'i' is also very easy.
Simply draw a shorter line from the middle to bottom, and then add a dot above it.
So a straight line and dot.
Next is the letter 'J' for jellyfish.
Similar to the letter 'I', the big 'J' is written by drawing a straight line from
top to bottom, but ending it with a curve to the left.
So straight to curve.
And just like the letter 'I', you can add a small line similar to a hat across the
top.
The small 'j' is very similar, you draw a straight line starting from the middle and
again curve it to the left.
You then add a dot to the top.
So straight line to curve and a dot.
Moving onto 'K' for kite.
The big letter is drawn with a straight line from top to bottom, and then a diagonal line
from the middle to the top right, and again from the middle to the bottom right.
So top to bottom, middle to top right and then middle to bottom right.
The little 'k' is very similar, start by drawing a straight line from top to bottom,
and then a short diagonal line from the middle toward the top right, and again from the middle
all the way to the bottom right.
So top to bottom, short line heading to the top right and then middle to the bottom right.
The next letter is 'L' for ladybird.
To draw the big letter, begin by drawing a straight line from top to bottom, and then
extending a horizontal line from the bottom to the right.
So top to bottom and then bottom to the right.
As for the little 'l', this is by far the easiest, simply draw a straight line from
top to bottom.
See, a straight line from top to bottom.
Moving onto 'M' for mouse, the big letter is written by drawing a straight line from
top to bottom, followed by a diagonal line from the top to the bottom right, then from
there to the top right, and then another straight line down.
So top to bottom, top to bottom, bottom to top and then top to bottom.
The little 'm' is written by drawing a short line from the middle to the bottom,
and then adding two arches next to it.
See, short line followed by 1-2 arches.
Next is 'N' for numbers.
The big letter 'N' is written by drawing a straight line from top to bottom, followed
by a diagonal line from top to the bottom right, and then a straight line from bottom
to top.
So down, down and up.
The little 'n' is written similar to the little 'm', with a short line from the
middle to the bottom, but instead of two arches, you use one.
So a short line followed by a single arch.
Moving onto to 'O' for octagon, you can write the big letter by drawing a big round
circle.
See, a big round circle.
And the little 'o' is exactly the same, only half the size.
So a smaller circle.
See, a smaller circle.
Next is 'P' 'for Peeka, that's me!
Hehe.
You can write the big 'P' by drawing a straight line from top to bottom, and then
drawing a semi-circle from the top to the middle of the line.
So top to bottom, followed by a small semi-circle.
And as for the small letter 'p', it's exactly the same, only you start the line
from the middle and then follow it with the semi-circle.
So line from the middle followed by a semi-circle.
The next letter is 'Q' for queen.
Similar to the big letter 'O', start by drawing a circle.
And then add a diagonal line from near the middle of the circle to the bottom right.
So a circle and then a diagonal line.
The little 'q' is similar the little 'g', start by going around in a semi-circle, and
then drawing a straight line down to the bottom, but unlike the 'g', you don't curve it
to the left.
So a semi-circle followed by a line down.
Moving onto 'R' for rocket.
The big 'R' is written by drawing a straight line from top to bottom, and then drawing
a semi-circle from the top to the middle of the line, followed by a diagonal line from
the middle to the bottom right.
So again, that's top to bottom, semi-circle to the middle and then a diagonal line to
the bottom right.
The little 'r' is written by drawing a short line from the middle to the bottom,
followed by a slightly curved line extending from the top of the line to the right.
So a line from the middle to the bottom, followed by a curved line to the right.
Next is the letter 'S' for star, to write the big 'S', draw a semi-circle with the
curve to the left, then lead that into another semicircle curved to the right, so semi-circle
followed by semi-circle.
The little 's' is exactly the same, but half the size.
See, small semi-circle followed by a small semi-circle.
Two semicircles.
Hehe.
Moving onto 'T' for trophy.
The big 'T' is written by drawing a horizontal line at the top, and adding a straight line
from the top middle, to the bottom.
So a straight line across and another down.
The little 't' is very similar, only you start with a straight line from top to bottom
followed by a horizontal line across the middle.
So top to bottom and a short one across the middle.
The next letter is 'U' for umbrella.
To write the big 'U', just draw an arch from the top left to the bottom, bending it
back up to the top right.
So down, across and up.
The little 'u' is similar, start by drawing an arch from the middle, down and to the right
and then add a straight line from the middle to the bottom.
So down and across, up to the middle and back down again.
Next is 'V' for vase.
The big letter 'V' is written by drawing a diagonal line from the top left to the bottom
centre and then from there to the top right.
So top to bottom and bottom to top.
And the little 'v' is exactly, the same, only half the size.
So start from the middle and draw a diagonal line down to the centre and then back up to
the right.
So that's down to the centre and back up to the right.
Moving onto 'W' for whale.
It's like the letter 'V' times two.
So begin by drawing a diagonal line from the top left to the bottom and then another from
there to the top right, back down and then back up again.
So Like a zig zag pattern, it goes down, up, down and up.
And as for the little 'w', it's exactly the same only half the size.
So it goes down, up, down and up.
So that's down from the middle, up, down and up again.
The next letter is 'X' for xylophone.
To write the big 'X', simply draw a diagonal line from the top left to the bottom right
and another from the top right to the bottom left.
So top to bottom and again top to bottom, like a cross.
The small letter 'x' is the same again, but instead of starting from the top you start
from the middle.
So it goes from middle left to bottom right and middle right to bottom left.
Next is 'Y' for yoyo.
The big letter 'Y' is written by drawing a diagonal line from the top left to the middle.
And then another line from the top right to the middle and then to the bottom.
So top to middle, and again top to middle all the way down.
As for the little letter 'y', start with a diagonal line from the middle left to the
bottom, followed by another diagonal line from the mid right all the way down . So it's
a short line, followed by a longer line.
And finally, the last letter, 'Z' for zebra.
To write the big letter, draw a horizontal line across the top, followed by a diagonal
line to the bottom left and end it with another horizontal line across the bottom to the right.
So that's a line across, down and across again.
And as for the little 'z', it's exactly the same, only smaller.
So a line across, down to the left and across again.
So that's across to the right, down to the left and across to the right again.
And that's it!
Easy huh!
Look Boo, I wrote my name.
Hehe.
