What you don't know about VERBS - Duration: 13:07.

hello everyone how are you today this is Marc I'm doing great thanks for asking

in English there are a myriad of exceptions we took a look at the present

perfect we took a look at nouns and also adjectives in this case though I

want to look at what you don't know about verbs

yes let's look at verbs first let's look at what they can act as yes they can act

as full verbs or main verbs just like go walk paint etc they can also act as

modal verbs in this case they need full verbs or main verbs to convey

their meaning so modal verbs can be like would might

may could should etc they can also act as auxiliary verbs and you know the main

auxiliary verbs they are be have and do they also need full verbs or main verbs

in this case to place them in the present or in the past or in the future

so we're going to look at this in a minute you know that verbs can be stative

dynamic or even both so the stative verbs are obviously they don't require

movement they describe states or conditions just like be feel love wish

need mind etc or we said that we are going to talk about dynamic verbs and

these dynamic verbs are obviously the ones that require

movement or change so write paint go slap come close etc and I said that they

can be both and this is the point that I want to talk about they can be both yes

both dynamic and both stative so they can change meaning according to the

context they are placed in so let's let's look at BE for example BE can be

dynamic and stative so BE you're being nasty if I say you're being nasty in

this in this case being the verb to be means to behave in a nasty way so is a

dynamic verb in this case right but if I say you are a nice boy in this case ARE

the verb to be is stative, it's a stative verb so let's look at another example

have with the verb to have yes have can be both dynamic and stative

so with the dynamic usage I gave you this example she's having a shower to

have a shower or to take a shower in American English she's having a shower

in this case having is dynamic so have as a stative verb is like she has two

brothers or she has tons of books okay it's a stative verb let's look at

another verb look and for a dynamic usage she's looking for a job to look

for is to search right to look for it's a phrasal verb and we're going to look at

phrasal verbs in a minute she's looking for a job and so this is a dynamic

verb in this case so for a stative case of the verb we can say that lady

looks great that lady looks great other verbs that can be dynamic and stative

are see smell taste think feel weigh measure etc I'm going to erase this and

I'm going to look at other points of verbs so by now you should know that

verbs like words in English can have a Latinate or Greek root or Germanic

root the ones that are or have a Latinate or Greek root are considered more

sophisticated so let's look at some examples we have arrive from arrivare in

Latin arrive and the Germanic or Old English root verb could be reach so

another one apparire in Latin appear so is in English right appear and the

Germanic or Old English verb would be show ingest ingest from Latin and eat

from Old English or Germanic meliorate or cure from Latin to heal is the

Germanic or Old English when we talk about verbs we need to mention phrasal

verbs what are phrasal verbs there are groups

of two or more words that put together create a whole new meaning so they

follow the pattern verb plus particle plus particle plus particle it depends

right so the particle of what is a particle the particle can be an adverb or a

preposition the phrasal verbs are used mostly in

informal contexts so orally but not always let's look at some verbs some

phrasal verbs just to see the equivalent in with using the Latinate root so we

have looked down on look down on somebody look down on somebody if you

want to replace this phrasal verb you can replace it with despise which

comes from Latin despise now another example could be talk over talk over

and the Latinate verb could be discuss discuss then another one could be turn

down turn down turn down can have two meanings right and we know that turn down

the volume for example lower the volume or reject turn down an offer for a job

for example I rejected the job turned down and then we have call off cancel

cancel call off cancel so the other point that I want to mention is that

verbs can be formed using suffixes or prefixes so the ones with prefixes I

gave you some examples because there are so many if you want to watch a lesson on

prefixes suffixes or phrasal verbs you can click here so prefixes let's look at

some verbs with DIS discharge disappear disarm then we have with UN

undo unbend unfasten now we have another one with MIS right misunderstand

you know what it means right misunderstanding you didn't understand you

understood something else misunderstands misshape misinform

etc there are so many then with suffixes suffixes are the ones that are

at the end they are two letters or three letters that are put at the end of the

words but if you want to watch a lesson on this you have the lesson and you may

click it here now shorten lengthen soften then we have realize with IZE

the suffix IZE so I wrote it in American English but you can even write

it with an S in British English realize industrialize patronize then we have

with ATE so irritate complicate fascinate okay now I'm going to erase

this and I'm going to show you two other points the last two points about verbs

just two other things that I need to say about verbs verbs can have a past tense

right you need to remember that verbs can be regular or irregular there is a

lesson on this and you can click here to watch that lesson but let me remind you

that when we add ED to regular verbs like correct correctED you need to pay

attention because okay correct correctED but how about close

closeD okay closeD that we add the D at the

end because we have the E at the end of the verb so we need to have just the D

and remember also the pronunciation closed now we have cry

what about cry it ends with Y we take out the Y and we add IED so cried

then the irregular ones you have to remember them like I said there is a

good lesson on regular and irregular verbs in in this case in my lesson I

will teach you how to learn the irregular verbs by groups this will

help you remember them in a better way now the last point that I want to

mention about verbs is that sometimes verbs can act as nouns

they're called gerunds you just add ING at the end of the verb so they are usually

used at the beginning of the sentence let's look at my two examples smiling is

good for you smiling is good for you so the act of smiling is good for you so

you need to smile more studying English increases your chances to find a good

job so studying if you study English you will find a good job this is what it

means but studying again studying is the gerund here studying English

increases your chances to find a good job well I hope you enjoyed the lesson

if you have any comments any requests or if you want to post your own example you

may do so under this video next week you'll get a new lesson if you subscribe

綜合眼科視光檢查 Primary Eye Care Consultation - Duration: 1:45.

I am Katherine. I am an Optometrist.

This comprehensive eye examination lasts for around 45 minutes.

We start with asking the patient for the medical history.

Then we proceed to the preliminary checking of the eyes,

such as assessments of vision acuity,

binocularity, colour vision,

and ocular motility, etc.

Then we measure the refractive status of the eyes,

to see if the patient needs spectacle prescription

or any need to update the prescription.

Then we proceed to external eye examination,

such as eyelids, corneas,

lenses, etc., to check if the patient is suffered

from cataract or inflammation.

Finally we use dilating drops

to dilate the pupils,

to check if there are any retina problems.

We also examine the optic nerves

for the risk of glaucoma,

macular degeneration at macular

And any retinal damages, degenerations or detachment.

If any medical or surgical

follow-up is needed,

we will refer the patient to an ophthalmologist.

If no eye problem is diagnosed, we suggest the patient

to have comprehensive eye examination every year.

VOA news Sep 17, 2017 - Duration: 4:59.

From Washington, this is VOA news.

Hello, I'm Steve Miller.

Armed British police searched a home Saturday in a London suburb of Sunbury.

Authorities said an 18-year-old man was arrested in a port area of Dover.

A police statement called that arrest "significant."

London Police Commissioner Cressida Dick told reporters Saturday that the threat level has

been altered.

"We have a very considerable threat.

My colleagues in the intelligence agency would say that this is a shift in threat, it's not

a spike."

Earlier Saturday, London Transit authorities said they had reopened the Parsons Green station

where the bomb on a train partially detonated.

About three thousand leftist, activists and migrants marched through central Athens Saturday

to honor the memory of activist rapper Pavlos Fyssas, [a] who was murdered by (a) neo-Nazi

sympathizer four years ago, and American Heather Heyer killed last month in Charlottesville,

Virginia.

Bezhan Hamdard has the details.

The protesters marched past the U.S. Embassy on their way to the main offices of extreme-right,

anti-immigrant Golden Dawn party, demanding that the offices shut down and party members

jailed.

Police wouldn't let the march reach the Golden Dawn headquarters and had some firebombs thrown

at them.

Police responded with tear gas.

The marchers have mostly dispersed, but a small group did throw fire bombs outside police

headquarters and three have been detained.

More than 700 mayors in Catalonia met in Barcelona and in a show of strength amid pressure from

Spain's central government not to hold an independence referendum

Political tensions in Spain are increasing as the proposed voting date of October 1 approaches.

The Catalan government has been scrambling to push for the vote despite the central government's

warnings.

This is VOA news.

Local activists say police and soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo opened fire

on Burundian refugees protesting over a plan to return some of them to their homeland.

At least 36 refugees are reported dead.

Matthew Larotonda reports.

Local activists say soldiers and police in the Democratic Republic of Congo have killed

dozens of Burundian refugees during protests over a government plan to deport some back

to their homeland.

Reuters found 30 bodies on the scene after the incident on Friday, but couldn't verify

how they died.

The local army spokesman says the refugees were armed with knives and machetes, but claimed

he didn't know if there were deaths on either side.

A U.N. spokesperson said many took shelter in a nearby peacekeeper base.

More than 400,000 have fled Burundi in the last two years in the violence that killed

at least 700 people, according to the U.N.

It believes crimes against humanity may have been orchestrated there.

Reporter Matthew Larotonda.

The Bangladesh government plans to construct a large camp to house some of the 400,000

Rohingya Muslims who have poured in from neighboring Myanmar over the past three weeks.

??? reports.

Authorities said 14,000 shelters capable of accommodating six families will be built over

the next 10 days near the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.

The area is experiencing an unprecedented exodus that was sparked by attacks on August

25 carried out by Rohingya militants on a Myanmar army base and police posts.

Global rights groups and survivors say the Myanmar military responded to the attacks

with extrajudicial murders, rapes, village torchings and other acts of violence.

The United Nations recently described Myanmar's actions as a "textbook example of ethnic cleansing."

???, VOA news.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi says, in an AP interview, he is prepared to intervene

militarily if the Kurdish region's planned independence referendum results in violence.

"Our position is that it is unconstitutional, it's illegal."

Al-Abadi called the vote "a dangerous escalation" that will invite violations of Iraq's sovereignty.

Iraq's Kurdish region plans to hold the referendum on support for independence from Iraq on September

25.

The United Nations reports world hunger is rising because conflicts and problems related

to climate change are multiplying.

The report finds about 815 million people globally did not have enough to eat in 2016

-- 38 million more than in the previous year.

Authors of the report say governments must set goals and invest in measures to bring

down malnutrition and to promote healthy eating for healthy living.

From the Washington news center, I'm Steve Miller.

"Names Left Behind -A Counting Song-" English translated by Releska

A child was born one night, long ago. "Names Left Behind -A Counting Song-" English translated by Releska

Were they the child of a human or a demon? "Names Left Behind -A Counting Song-" English translated by Releska

They will not cross over that barrier. "Names Left Behind -A Counting Song-" English translated by Releska

With soft, soft footsteps, let's return home… "Names Left Behind -A Counting Song-" English translated by Releska

Two.

Furuiwa Aji Street

Leads toward the unstable barrier.

You can never think back

Upon what lies beyond the two roads,

Let's return directly home, lightly, lightly treading upon the old road…

Three.

The river Minakami Ami.

Someone peeped, as quick as you can blink,

Into the water that flowed through, disturbing the water's surface.

They did not stop there forever.

Let's leave the strangers behind and hurry home…

Four.

The Yoimachi Ayo Bridge.

The fearful tengu is watching,

Searching all through the night, each night, for that child.

They were led away to a distant mountain.

Let's hurry home before we cross the path to Hades…

Words lightly fall

From their mouths.

As they walk down the road,

They continue their chant

Though they do not know what it means.

Five.

At Ago Hill,

The priest's corpse waits for someone in vain.

It was covered up beneath a stone.

The grass grows thick and wild there.

Let's turn back as fast as we can. Let's hurry and return home…

Six.

Down Mutsumata Amu Lane

The maiden walked, slow on her feet.

The figure of an angry youkai stood before her.

Driven away, she fell to her knees.

It was not a tragedy, not at all. Let's return home quietly…

Seven.

Nanasato Ashichi Hill.

They continued on, without knowing where it would end.

Perhaps it was because of an illness brought on from their long journey,

But they could not cross the hill in the end.

With slow steps, let's return home at a steady pace…

Eight.

The tomb of the Child, Aya.

Who sleeps beneath its roof?

In place of a noble human,

They gave everything in exchange.

Let's seal our lips and return home in an orderly fashion.

Little by little,

They follow the memories.

As they walk down the road,

They continue their chant.

They do not know what it means.

Someday,

My name, left behind,

Will cross over to tomorrow.

That day is still distant.

Nine.

If I embrace this name,

Then though I may one day sleep beneath the cherry tree,

As long as I exist in this way

My funeral rites will not be performed

Sing, children, while you can still sing. Now come—let's return home…

Lenovo K8 Note SPLASH Water TESTED! [Durability Test] Temporary Display Damage!! Is it Splashproof? - Duration: 2:27.

Whtizup guyz!

In this video lets perform the Splash Water Test on the Lenovo K8 Note & see if it suffered

any sort of damage!! --inTro--

Letz start the test with some light splashes on the Display side & checkout the resistance

of the Oleophobic Coating against water!

Then we'll move on to totally wetting it with water!

The aim of this Splash TEST is to show you what exactly happens to the device when it

gets wet so that you don't have to find-out by accident!

Now that its totally wet, lets see if it has made any difference or damage to the K8 Note!

Lenovo claims Nano-coating splash proof technology on the K8 Note & it does work but only against

light splashes!

Because anything beyond that like heavy drenching can damage the Display to stop functioning!

I had got a momentary scare when the display started flickering & stopped turning ON altogether.

Fortunately things went back to normal within 10 to 15 minutes or so.

And weirdly, the fingerprint unlock issue which was present earlier, got totally solved

after this experience!!

WANNAONE'S ENERGETIC MV REACTION (W/ CAPTIONS) - Duration: 15:46.

Hi guys! I'm Tin and I'm Chelsea, her younger sister

so today...

what?

Today we're gonna react to

Wannaone's Energetic music video

I'm really excited to see the music video

Uh who do you think is the bigger Wannaone fan between the two of us?

I think you're the bigger fan

Uhm she likes to stalk and buy merchandises

Yeah like this one

Unlike me who's...(T: I like fan-made) who's a fan but can't have...

fan-made

who's a fan but can't have

[Oh no Tin, my headband fell. We'll have to start over again hahaha]

[Why did it fell off? It's loose]

[Why did it fell off? I'll slap you Tin. Why?]

[Tin Tin don't include this in the editing]

[It's already 8 minutes. 8 minutes? Recording]

[Ow ok. Just 8 minutes?!]

[I thought we've been recording for 10,000 minutes already haha]

Are you excited?

Somewhat

You just make yourself circle that's what you... ouch!

gross

so cute

anyway

focus focus on this

ok the mus...uhm

before that

no!

since you don't know anything

because you are not the bigger fan let me tell you that there were

actually 2 title songs. I know! Burn It Up, Energetic. Ah so... burn it up uhuh

so you're not so hopeless and

I actually knew from the start

I had this feeling that Energetic was going to win

all the trailers of the individual members were like skewed towards Energetic

if you watch the trailer one by one...it's actually...it looks very fresh, boyish

compared to Burn It Up that's more of manly and cool so all the trailers screamed like pick Energetic to me

so I was not surprised that it won

I think out of 2.5M votes it got 2.2M?

wow are you sleeping? haha oh my god don't you know how to respect your elders

It's my bedtime. So it won!

Let's watch

Wait I need to

I'm gonna wear my glasses because

I don't wanna miss anything Park Woo Jin related

let's go

S828

crush on you. crush on you [maybe]

oh crush on me?

[dream on]

wow so handsome Tin

wow visuals

visuals galore

pretty

oh nice voice

[Bae Jin Young's face is so small]

[wow so handsome]

[so good right?]

[lyrics are easy to follow]

[handsome]

[it's your bias]

[so cute]

[wow that's sexy]

that's face...Ong

go my boy

[I can't react I'm just staring]

I like that part

wow

get wet?

[so handsome]

yeah boy

swaggy rapper

wow

BLESS THE FLOOR

[Tin do an animation like that]

[It's over]

so fast

what are you looking at bro

boys love haha

[where are they pointing at]

[maybe they are looking at you]

[like dream on]

[you're worse]

[it's over so fast]

[why is it like that]

[song was less than 5 minutes but it was beautiful]

[what can you say]

[actually at the start I was busy reacting but in the middle I was sucked in by their beauty and talent]

[they shut me up good]

[you're such a flirt]

[You're a flirt! No you are! What did you say at the end? They're looking at you?!

[that's no true]

anyway

at first when we were looking at the teaser, she asked me who will win

what music video will win for the main title track

she said Energetic I said Burn It Up

[it fell off]

[i'll slap you]

after thoughts after thoughts

for me

the song was short

i mean just getting into the song and then it's over

but it's so catchy it's a good song the music video was great yeah they were

so cute / handsome

and the dance was great as well

everything was great it's a good it's a good way to start their career as idols

they started on the right track, right foot

whatever

with the song and the lyrics

[I was following along with the song]

[although it's my first time hearing it]

why? you can understand korean now?

[no that's not what i meant!]

they kept repeating the chorus "Out of control yeah I'm feeling Energetic"

[After that I followed along. That's how easy and.......CATCHY the song is

[also]

[this dance part is so easy to follow] Yeah SHOW OFF

huh

go

[what show off?]

[like this like this] GO BABY GIRL

and the dance is also easy to follow

wow?

[just this part ok?! it's easy to follow]

[and this part too]

[and this part in the beginning] WOWWOW

I noticed that...

the distribution, the parts were not distributed equally but I'm not really surprised

because that's what happens when you have too many members

I mean I think I didn't see a lot of Jisung...what?

(Park) Jihoon

Jihoon

actually I didn't see a lot of Jihoon, Lai Guan Lin, Ji Sung

did I miss anyone?

yeah they are the guys

they had their moments like they had close ups but

i think their singing part were short

but I noticed that

Kang Daniel is finally rapping for good now

because in it produce 101 he sang most of the time

and even in the final even in Hands on Me he didn't

Thank goodness he didn't take Woojin's rap part He's so nice

bias

what

yeah so now

I think it's established that his main role is really

center and rapper of course everyone knows he dances

Park Woojin is

the best

Park Woojin is the best I liked him since episode 2

when he did this

when they were fighting for center and he did this and I was like

oh that's my boy

forever

I'm still sad

why

Lee Woojin

my bias at first at produce 101

is the maknae Lee Woojin

but right now my heart

you like him coz you like him

or do you like him coz he's a maknae and he's younger than you

no I like him for his amazing talent singing

ok

baby baby

but anyway right now my

3 biases in Wanna One are

Kim Jaehwan, Bae Jinyoung and

what

do you want me to remind you who the third person is

it's freaking Lee Daehwi

oh Lee Daehwi

hahaha

anyway I'm just a fan

that adores

a fan fan

that adores them

adows?

adores

adores!

adows?

adores

I'm devoted to Park Woojin cos I can't I can't focus on too many people

at the same time

as per the song

I like Daehwi's voice He has a distinct tone

and

yeah

I didn't really

I didn't really focus on him during produce 101

so I didn't

I didn't know how nice his voice actually is

I mean sorry Chelsea

but episode 1 he showcased his singing skills with the

he did sing but

but I was focusing on rappers

because I like rappers and dancers

period

bias

that's what you call bias

no

no

and Minhyun's voice Hwang Minhyun Emperor Minhyun

is really nice

it's soft and gentle

and as gentle as his face

cos he's so handsome

I don't know why got but I'm cringing with every comment from her

and then I also like

I like Ong's tone

He's so handsome It's distinct

You can tell it is his voice

it was nice

and what else

Ah I noticed that Ha Sungwoon and Jaehwan

they both sang Energetic

hahaha

the way they pronounced it

different

they're both good singers but I noticed

I just noticed the difference in

what

I'm not making of them

I'm just

no I'm not laughing at them

I'm laughing at you

why

you're so funny

oh

I saw a lot of Ha Sungwoon cos he has a lot of singing parts

I'm really

I'm starting to like him

what else

I'm trying not to be bias

cos I can go on and talk about Park Woojin

if you were to score the music video

what would it be

what

I would score them

ten out of ten

cos it's

common that's like

I was...

I'm going to talk about Park Woojin again

I was so worried that Park Woojin wouldn't make it

cos he started at 75th

he started at that position

and every week I was worried

if he was going to be eliminated

but thank god

his 10/10 performance made a breakthrough for him

ah thank god

thank you national producers

[Woojin's name tag poked me]

1999 kids are so cute

if I were in Korea I'd be 19

so? who cares

you can't go to Korea cos you're poor

too bad we're family

anyway

savage

we're done guys

I hope

I hope you didn't get annoyed

and

I hope next time Christian can join us

bye guys

Breaking News | 2nd night of violent protests in St. Louis after verdict - Duration: 5:18.

2nd night of violent protests in St. Louis after verdict.

ST.

LOUIS (AP) — Protests turned violent for the second night on Saturday in reaction to

the acquittal of a white former St. Louis police officer in the fatal shooting of a

black man, as a small group of demonstrators refused to disperse, breaking windows and

throwing objects at police in riot gear, who eventually moved in and made arrests.

The confrontation took place in the Delmar Loop of the St. Louis suburb of University

City — known for concert venues, restaurants, shops and bars and including the famous Blueberry

Hill where rock legend Chuck Berry played for many years.

The area had been the scene of a tense but calm march earlier in the evening that ended

with organizers calling for people to leave and reconvene Sunday afternoon.

But a small group of protesters refused to go.

Police ordered them to disperse, saying the protest was unlawful.

Hundreds of police in riot gear eventually moved in with armored vehicles.

The demonstrators retreated down a street, breaking windows and throwing objects at police.

Several protesters were seen in handcuffs but the number of arrests was not immediately

known.

At least one demonstrator was seen being treated after he was hit with pepper spray.

The sudden eruption followed a day of non-violent demonstrations at suburban shopping malls

and during the march in University City.

Demonstrators shouted slogans such as "black lives matter" and "it is our duty to fight

for our freedom" as they marched through West County Center mall in the city of Des Peres,

west of St. Louis, to decry a judge's verdict Friday clearing ex-officer Jason Stockley

of first-degree murder in the 2011 shooting of Anthony Lamar Smith.

A group also demonstrated at Chesterfield Mall in the suburbs and at a regional food

festival.

Organizers took their grievances to the suburbs Saturday to spread the impact of the protests

beyond predominantly black neighborhoods to those that are mainly white.

"I don't think racism is going to change in America until people get uncomfortable," said

Kayla Reed of the St. Louis Action Council, a protest organizer.

Susanna Prins, 27, a white woman from University City, carried a sign reading, "White silence

is violence."

"Not saying or doing anything makes you complicit in the brutalization of our friends and neighbors,"

Prins said.

Smith's death is just one of several high-profile U.S. cases in recent years in which a white

officer killed a black suspect, including the 2014 killing of Michael Brown in nearby

Ferguson that sparked months of angry and sometimes violent protests.

Federal prosecutors said Saturday they won't open a new civil rights investigation into

the killing.

Justice Department spokeswoman Lauren Ehrsam said the department decided in September not

to prosecute, but didn't announce it then to avoid affecting the judge's decision.

After Stockley was acquitted on Friday, sporadic violence resulted in nearly three-dozen people

arrested and 11 police officers injured, including a broken jaw and dislocated shoulder, police

said.

Five officers were taken to hospitals.

Police said that 10 businesses were damaged.

Protesters also broke a window and spattered red paint on the home of St. Louis Mayor Lyda

Krewson.

Krewson said she was not home at the time but her family was.

She said it was "irritating" to have her house vandalized.

"This story is not about whether I got my windows broken or not.

This is about coming together to have a better St. Louis for all of us," she told a news

conference Saturday.

Reed said protesters went to Krewson's house because she was not in the streets with the

people even though she had expressed support on social media.

Stockley shot Smith, 24, after the suspected drug dealer fled from officers trying to arrest

him.

Stockley testified he felt he was in danger because he saw Smith holding a silver revolver

when the suspect backed his car toward officers and sped away.

Prosecutors said Stockley planted a gun in Smith's car after the shooting.

The officer's DNA was on the weapon but Smith's wasn't.

Dashcam video from Stockley's cruiser recorded him saying he was "going to kill this (expletive)."

Less than a minute later, he shot Smith five times.

Stockley's lawyer dismissed the comment as "human emotions" during a dangerous pursuit.

St. Louis Circuit Judge Timothy Wilson, who said prosecutors didn't prove beyond a reasonable

doubt that Stockley murdered Smith, said the statement could be ambiguous.

Stockley, 36, who left the force in 2013 and moved to Houston, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch

after the verdict that he understands how the video looks bad, but insisted he did nothing

wrong.

"I know everyone wants someone to blame, but I'm just not the guy," Stockley said.

Common Problems That Can Affect Your Voice - Duration: 2:42.

Common problems that can affect your voice at puberty guys hearts begin producing a lot of the hormone testosterone

pronounced ties tossed here one

Which makes changes in some parts of the body including the voice for starters the guy's larynx?

pronounced larynx also known as the voice box grows bigger

The larynx which is stayed in the neck at the top of the trachea

Declared trachea or windpipe is like around - about two inches five centimeters high

The larynx is responsible for producing the sound of your voice

stretched across your larynx our two flesh your vocal cords

which are like rubber bands when you breathe your vocal cords rest against the walls of the larynx and

Completely open to provide air to get in also out of your lungs

When you speak though your vocal cords close concurrently by extending over the larynx

air from your lungs does then force out within your vocal cords causing them to sound and produce the sound of your voice when

You reduce your voice your vocal cords are relaxed and more floppy

When you perform your voice higher your vocal cords tighten you can notice this

variation in how they feel as you improve your speech as

Your larynx grows your vocal cords become longer and thicker

Also your facial bones start to grow

cavities within the sinuses the nose and the end of the throat grow bigger

Creating more space in the face that delivers your sound more room to echo all of these parts cause your voice to get below

Think of a guitar if a thin string remains plucked it vibrates and produces a high sounding tone

When a thicker line does plucked it sounds much lower when it vibrates?

That's kind of what issues to your voice

Before your maturity spurt your larynx is relatively small and your vocal cords are relatively thin

So your voice is important and kid-like?

Just as bones cartilage and vocal cords start your voice begins to sound like in adults

Along with all the other differences in your body you might notice that your throat section looks a little different

For guys when the larynx grows larger it tilts to a different point inside the neck

Part of it holds out in the part of the neck at the front of the throat and forms Adam's apple for girls the larynx

Including rows bigger, but not as much as a guy's

That's why girls don't have Adam's apples

dapples
