Youtube daily report w Sep 18 2017

Hold up! I look like sh--.

Okay. Literally queen.

Literally, literally, literally, literally, literally,

my life is getting f-ing Ipsy b--!

Today I'm doing an Ipsy unboxing.

It got really f-ed up,

but it's fine.

I haven't opened it yet.

She's sealed. She's ready to go.

I even did the beauty guru thing,

and I crossed out my address. Because, like . . .

poppin!

Oh my god! First: little storytime.

#uberdrivertriedtokillme storytime.

A girl at school called me a "try-hard"

for wearing socks with sandals.

So I sat next to this girl, my friend.

She's a freshman. Whatever.

And she was sitting with this girl who's a senior.

And I sat down and said,

"Did you know that if you hate yourself,

you look better in socks with sandals?"

And the senior was like,

"That's such a 'try-hard' thing to say.

Just wear the fucking socks and sandals.

You don't have to give an explanation."

Like, b--, what the f--?

Like, let me make my meme if I want to.

Anyways . . .

Sorry that I didn't do a f-ing August one.

I'm just a f-up, and a try-hard, I guess.

This is what the bag looks like this month.

By far, my favorite bag that I've ever gotten.

I just like how simple it is.

Like, I would actually use this b--.

She's useful.

Also, another reason why I hate myself,

I'm sorry that I'm not doing a full face of Ipsy.

Ugh. Should I do a full face?

No, dude. I'm gonna film a makeup tutorial after this b--.

Okay. Anyways . . .

I think it's gonna be a pretty good bag this month,

because I see a f-ing Luxie brush.

Y'all know my obsession with Luxie.

This is a Luxie 207 Medium Angled Shading Brush.

I feel like I might just use this for nose contour,

because it's angled.

What would I use this for on my eyes?

I don't know.

I'm excited to have another Luxie brush,

because they're beautiful,

and they just make me feel really bougie.

And I am really bougie, so like . . .

Oooh, damn! You've got Luxie and Pixi, b--.

So it looks like we got a duo . . .

thing.

Beauty Blush Duo and peach honey.

F--, there's tape on it.

Dude. It's so much easier without braces.

I'm dead. I'm dissy.

So it's in their classic spin-off top.

This is what it looks like.

This side, I feel like, would be good as a highlight.

Just swatched this side.

Then we'll swatch the darker side.

Oooh. The darker side is gorgeous.

And then we'll mix the two.

I'm sure you can tell which is which.

I love that darker shade.

I wish I were darker, so I could pull that off.

There's a helicopter going by. Ugh . . .

Bomb as f--, b--.

Literally, let's just touch up my glow.

I'm quaking.

This is a really pretty natural highlight.

I've been getting more into natural highlights,

just because I find them to be less glittery.

But Pixi makes some my favorite . . . as . . .

some of my favorite highlighters.

I'm so hungry.

Dude. When will I stop getting

these f-ing dumba-- Elizabeth Mott shadows?

Honestly. I got a highlighter from them.

It's so small.

Also, it's in this like stupid a-- f-ing ugly f-ing f--.

I'm really hungry.

Okay. It's in the shade "Toasted."

I literally just dug my nail into it,

and I haven't even swatched it yet. Cool.

It's like a dark brown shimmery shade

that I will never use. So . . .

Alrighty. Two more products.

We have these SKINFOOD . . .

Oh they printed the frickin . . .

They printed like the item number on top,

so I don't even know what this is.

Black Sugar Mask?

Why is it like this?

This looks like a f-ing toilet.

It has literally no information on it

It's just an exfoliator.

I probably wouldn't use it as a mask,

because I don't have time for that.

It seems pretty legit. I like the way that it smells.

It's kind of lemon-y.

Dude! I'm so hungry, I can't even focus right now.

What the f--?

Okay. And then, last but not least,

we have this Smashbox Photo Fini . . .

Fini-esh.

Photo Finish Radiance Primer.

Um, I have their purple one.

I don't know what it's called.

B--, I'm excited, dude.

Let's see. Does it make my hand look radiant?

She glows a little bit.

She's right there.

You, like, can't even see her. That's okay.

You know what? I'm excited.

It seems really hydrating and relatively smoothing.

So we gonna get poppin with this.

You're gonna see this in an upcoming tutorial.

Or, the tutorial's already up.

I'll link it right up there.

Chance the Rapper who? Honestly? Like . . .

Uhh! My videos are sh--.

Actually, no. They're the sh--.

Um, yeah. Thank you guys so much

for tuning into my vid.

Um, it's been really fricking lit.

Um. I've started saying "frickin."

No I haven't.

But I refuse to ever say "crap."

"Crap" is a stupid f-ing word.

Hate the word "crap."

It's lame. It's ugly. I hate it.

[yawns]

So, yeah. Thank you guys so much for watching.

Please comment, rate, subscribe, and keep on Ipsy-ing.

I'm Addicted To Programming... What Should I Do? - Duration: 7:28.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

Tired of pushy recruiters sending you LinkedIn requests for jobs you have no interest in?

Tired of blasting out resumes into the dark?

If so, you should check out Hired.com.

Hired.com flips job searching on its head by having top employers like Facebook come

to you after you fill out one simple application.

You also get your own job coach to help you on your next job search.

If you haven't checked it out, I highly recommend you at least fill out the application.

Just go to Hired.com/simpleprogrammer.

When you get hired with Hired, you'll get double the normal sign-on bonus for using

that link.

I got a question—a good question, I think, here.

I'm addicted to programming.

What should I do?

I thought this was going to be something else when I first read this.

I thought it was going to be, "I'm addicted to, you know," but it's programming, so this

is good.

We're safe.

It's okay.

We're in the safe space.

Nikan says here—he says, "Hi, John.

I'm Nikan.

I'm 18 years old.

I'm an Android and Java developer.

I love Java very, very much," and there is a happy smiley face.

"Currently, I'm last year in high school and my exams are near and I know I have to study,

but I have a big problem.

When I have time to spend, I spend it on programming instead of studying.

I think my problem is prioritizing my tasks.

I'm addicted to my passion and prioritize that over anything.

Please help me to do what is more important for now.

Thanks."

He says, "Sorry for my grammar.

I read a book some time ago and learned about quick reward which our body wants.

The good feeling we get when we code is the reward and the long reward is the goal.

I thought the book chapter was about bad addiction and I don't want to completely destroy my

passion LOL."

I don't think you got a problem here.

Well, okay.

You've got a mild problem here.

You need to pass your school—your study, Nikan, right?

You need to get your degree or your diploma.

You're in high school.

Don't fail out of your courses, but at the same time I'm going to give you advice that

most people aren't going to give you and your parents aren't going to like, which is your

grades don't really matter.

Don't waste a lot of time—like this is what matters, your passion, your programming.

This is what's going to get you paid.

This is what's going to be beneficial to you in life, not what you got on your biology

test, so get by, right?

There's a lot of stuff in life that you just got to get by and there's a lot of stuff in

life that you put it all in.

Now, don't get me wrong.

I've done videos on doing nine or above, and I do think you should give the things you're

going to give effort to a nine or above, but those are the things that you choose to do.

Some things you're kind of compelled to do.

You got to finish your high school and you got to get enough good grades to graduate.

I think you've got to do that.

Don't waste time and effort doing more than you need to do in that area.

Just get that down so you can do more programming.

I think that's going to be much more valuable to you.

There's actually a really good book that I'm going to recommend to you by Grant Cardone.

I did a review on it.

It's called Be Obsessed or Be Average.

This is going to be some encouragement for you because I think you're on the right path

because a lot of people are going to say you're crazy.

A lot of people say I'm crazy.

A lot of people say, "Hey, you're too addicted to this.

You're too obsessed about this thing like stop being so obsessed with programming.

Find some balance in your life.

Stop working out so much.

Stop recording so many damn videos," and you should give them the middle finger.

Not really, but you should basically ignore them because they don't know what it takes.

I mean what you have is rare and what is required for success is what you have.

Right?

You've got to be able to put in those hours.

You got to be able to put in that time.

You got to be obsessed about something to really, really be successful at it.

The most successful people are the most obsessed people and they don't let people tell them

that their life is out of balance.

Life is not balanced.

Life has seasons.

Someday you're going to be obsessed about one thing and then another thing.

You still have to have the ability to follow through and have the commitment and continuity

to actually accomplish things.

I'll warn you this as well.

Right now, you're super passionate about programming.

That's not going to be the case forever, but take this passion and what you feel now and

advance it as far as you can and just recognize that there's going to be hard days ahead where

you're not going to feel like programming anymore and you're going to feel like, "Oh,

I don't like it anymore and it's not for me," but you got to push through that, okay?

That's one thing that I know that you will face because everything that you love, you

also will hate.

This is the way of life, right?

It's so true.

It's true in passions.

It's true in relationships.

It's true in just about everything in life, especially when someone pays you for it.

I'll tell you too.

You love programming now.

Wait until you get a job and you have to do it and then see how much you love it.

Now, it doesn't mean that you're going to hate it and always hate it.

It just means that you're going to go through these hot and cool phases where you're going

to love it, you're going to hate it.

You're going to have this love/hate relationship with most of the passions in your life, so

get used to that, but yeah.

You know, don't be an idiot though.

Don't think short term and just do programming when you're supposed to be doing some studying

because you got to finish this up and get through your high school, and get your diploma

or whatever and don't funk out.

Don't get all like Ds and just barely pass.

Get a decent grade, right?

Just do the 80/20 here.

Apply Pareto's law.

Okay.

What is the 20% of effort that I can do in my courses to get 80% of the grade that I

need?

Maybe that's an 80%.

I don't know and then devote as much as you can to do the programming because that's

what's going to carry your further in life.

Education is antiquated.

The idea of being a generalist used to be valuable, but it's not anymore.

Being a specialist.

Being a programmer.

Focusing on that.

That's way better than learning history and biology.

It's not going to help you.

Not going to help you in life but becoming a better programmer, if this is what your

passion, if this is what you're going to pursue, that's also going to help you.

I'll point you to one other book about your passion just because you've used that word

a lot and I don't want you to get caught.

I want you to think beyond passion.

Passion is great to get you started, but it's not necessarily the guide post that you should

be using in life, which is a book by Cal Newport called So Good They Can't Ignore You.

A really good book.

I don't think I did a review on it because I think I read this book before I started

doing reviews, but maybe I'll re-read and do a review.

You should definitely check out that book.

All right.

Keep programming.

I'm glad that you're so damn passionate about it.

That's awesome.

It's great, you know, but don't totally neglect your schoolwork.

That won't be good if you have to repeat your high school year.

You don't get your diploma and you know a lot of programming.

It will hurt you in life.

You got to get that.

You don't necessarily have go to college.

All right.

How To Make Money Work For You - My Most Powerful Secret - Duration: 5:01.

It's so cliche, make your money work for you, is that really true for the average person?

are there real opportunities and options out there where your money can actually work for you?

Well, that's what we're exploring today on limitless TV.

If you want to make your money work for you, you have to understand the difference between

gambling and investing.

They are in fact two very different things.

Gambling is a strong word but what I really mean by it is a speculative investment.

Society has trained us really good to put our money on 401ks, IRAs, annuities, the stock

market, home equity, and I have a sniff test that I like to pass to determine whether I

am gambling, doing something speculative or whether I am in fact doing really good bonafide

real investing.

Here's the difference, I'm gonna ask myself some questions and here's the most important

one.

Does my investment pay me?

Does your investment pay you?

Well let's check.

A 401k, when you put money in, does it pay you?

No it doesn't.

What about your IRA?

No, it doesn't.

What about paying off your home?

what about the bricks? the equity?

your sweat equity?

No it doesn't!

What about your annuity?

No it doesn't What about the stock?

No it doesn't!

Guess what? all these things that society tell us to put our money into, that's called

gambling.

Why?

Well first of all, look at the averages.

At least if you're gonna gamble or go for the lottery, do something that could make

you some real money.

We are putting our money in some else's hands and we're told don't you dare touch it.

If you do, we will penalize you, we will tax you, we will take from you.

And if you call your financial planner up and tell him, hey I'm thinking about doing

something different with my money, guess what they're gonna do?

Don't you dare touch it!

They're gonna tell you that you can't or that you shouldn't.

That's the world that we live in.

How is a real investment different?

Well, a real investment does three particular things and I'm gonna tell you in a moment

what they are, and next I'm also gonna share with you the two things that you'll see me

investing in everyday because, I have invested in just about everything you can imagine and

I'm done throwing my money at what doesn't follow these three rules and I'll share with

you the two investments that continue giving me dividend, after dividend, after dividend.

We're done gambling, we're done with the lottery, we're done with speculation, it's time to

start doing some real investing.

And when I say real investing, I'm gonna share with you the two things I invest in and the

three things that I want those two things to produce.

You ready with your pens and paper to write this down?

I invest in real estate and I invest in business.

And when I invest in real estate and in business, these are the three things they must do for

me.

Number one, I get to buy them with equity.

Which means there's some element of sweat equity or there's some intrinsic value there

the moment I step into it.

So with business it's usually intellectual property, a book of business.

In real estate, It's actual equity.

The second of the things that I'm looking for in a real investment is cash flow.

What? because it pays me.

And my investments need to pay me.They need to give off dividends.

Real estate might pay me quarterly or once a month and successful business should be

doing the same.

Sometimes business pays more and frequent than that.

Maybe it's once a year.

But you know what?

It's not a 401k or IRA locked up for decades that I can't touch and it's not producing

nothing for me.

So equity number one, cash flow number 2, and then number 3 is really important, growth.

What is it?

Growth.

That means that it's got to grow.

Which means that if I bought a home with $20,000 of equity, it's cash flowing me $200 a month,

then later it needs to be worth more.

Because upfront equity, plus a long way cash flow, plus a big pay day at the end, equals

a happy investment.

Not, none of this 3% speculative, can't control, can't touch, don't don't don't can't.

Business, I expect the same thing.

When I build a business or invest in a business, I want there to be equity, I want there to

be cash flow, and I want there to be growth.

Friends, this is what I look for when i'm out there investing in a real world and I'm

going to invite you to start putting your investment in two different categories.

Those which are speculative, A.K.A. gambling, and those that are real investments because

they pay you.

Thank you.

You know after 15 years and hundreds of different investments, I've really narrow it down how

I invest my money and making work for me down to pretty much one way in particular.

TOP 5 NBA YOUNG BOY Facts You Should Know... ( Danielle Bregoli ) - Duration: 5:03.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again, or NBA YoungBoy, is a teenage rap prodigy, described by Fader

as "Baton Rouge's most promising" and "rawest new rapper."

Releasing numerous hit songs from behind bars, he's received cosigns from the likes of Young

Thug and 21 Savage, and collaborated with artists like Kevin Gates and Boozie Badazz.

What's going on guys, My name's Michael McCrudden, hitting you with the top 5 Young Boy Never

Broke Again facts you should know.

Since this guy is as well known for his legal troubles as he is for his music, let's kick

off our list in the number 5 spot, talking about his criminal past...

Young Boy Never Broke Again grew up with his father in prison, and first started getting

in trouble himself years before his most recent arrest.

He dropped out of high school in the 9th grade, and it wasn't long before he would be getting

arrested for robbery.

Then, in November of 2016, he got himself into much worse trouble by participating in

a drive by shooting.

Fortunately, he didn't end up killing anybody.

He was later booked on two counts of attempted first degree murder, and locked up in East

Baton Rouge Jail.

So how did pass the time?

Let's talk about that in the number four spot...Time in Jail.

While in jail, he claims to have been writing raps every two days, and released songs like

Win or Lose, Don't Matter, and Too Much.

To avoid future legal troubles with the National Basketball Association, he changed his name

from NBA Young Boy to YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

He also gave an interview to XXL from behind bars, and told them that he was pretty much

staying out of trouble.

"I don't really talk that much," He said, "I just watch and observe.

I don't really trust nobody.

I'm cool with some of the n*ggas though.

I just be cooling, read."

The book he was reading at the time was One Heartbeat Away, a book about what happens

after you die by Mark Cahil.

Keeping his nose down in jail seems to have paid off for Young Boy, because coming in

the number three spot, we have His Release.

On May 22, 2017, Young Boy pled guilty to a single reduced charge of aggravated assault

with a fire arm.

He was then released from jail, with bail set at two hundred thousand dollars.

Of course, this didn't mean he was out of trouble yet.

He would still have to show up to court for sentencing.

In August of 2017, he received a 10 year suspended prison term and put on 3 years active supervised

probation.

He was ordered to perform 250 hours of community service, which may include an anti-violence

public service announcement.

We've still yet to see that, but he has found his own way to give back to his community.

Young Boy was also fined 5 thousand dollars.

On top of that, he got a Judge Judy style tongue lashing from the Judge, who lectured

Young Boy about his crimes, his music, violence in the Baton Rouge community, and one more

thing that you may not know about Young Boy...

Coming up in the number two spot, we have FATHERHOOD.

At just 17 years old at the time of this recording, you might be surprised to learn that Young

Boy has a kid.

Well, actually, he's got three children from two separate baby mommas.

At this rate, it won't be long before he gives new meaning to his mixtape, 38 Baby, but it

looks like the emcee wants to make sure that doesn't happen.

After all, he is committed to being Never Broke Again.

So, how's he going to make sure he doesn't have any more mouths to feed?

Well, the kid's got a plan...

He's definitely going to need those, considering how crazy his fans are going for him.

Finally, topping our list in the number one spot, let's address the elephant in the room,

his scars.

Young Boy has several scars marking him all around his head, with three marking his forehead.

You might expect these come from some traumatic events during his criminal past, but story

goes back way further than that.

Back when he was just four years old, Young Boy was at his grandma's house, rough housing

with a boy from down the street.

His grandma was in the back room, and apparently not watching the kids closely enough.

Emulating a wrestling move, his friend dropped him hard on his back, and Young Boy discovered

he wasn't able to move his head.

After they rushed him to the hospital, his family learned that Young Boy had literally

broken his neck.

He was then put into a halo brace, a medical device used to allow spinal injuries to heal

properly, which is secured by drilling the brace into the patient's skull.

So there you have it, my list of top 5 Young Boy Never Broke Again Facts.

I did a similar video on the top 5 Tay K 47 facts you should know.

7 BEST FREE ANDROID APPS OF THE MONTH - September 2017 - Duration: 3:46.

😍_-_👍_-_LIKE THIS VIDEO_-_👍_-_😍

Hey guys it's me, Rahul.

Like every month, today we are gonna be checking out some new and interesting apps.

You can find the download links and this month's wallpaper pack from the description.

1.The first app i have for you guys is Split screen creator.

In samsung note 8 you have the ability to set up a shortcut to launch two apps at once

side by side in multiwindow.

If you think that feature is really cool, then you can have that on your phone too..

as long as your phone supports multi window.

So to create a shortcut ,drop its widget onto the homescreen, pick two apps that you want

to use in multi window.

And that's it

2.Gesture shortcut makes everything simple and if you have a fingerprint scanner on your

phone, you can use that to set up shortcuts too.

There is this app called "Fingerprint Gestures".

You can setup up to 4 gestures for free.

It works really well, better than most of the similar apps, So if you can make this

app useful check it out.

3.If you are not a native english speaker, you might have problems pronouncing certain

words, There are online tools which will help you with the pronunciation, but would it be

so much helpful if there was an offline tool for pronunciation. If you are looking for the

same, then "Pronounce" might be the perfect one, it is a very simple app, in which you

type in words or sentences and the app will read it out loud.It supports a bunch of languages

and It is free.

4.I haven't done an episode without featuring a wallpaper app, in today's video we have

2 wallpaper apps, First one is a very simple and pretty similar looking wallpaper app it

is called urban walls.

The wallpaper collection is really good in this one.

5.Guys the next app is actually quite useful, but i don't think a lot of people really

care about or want to use these kind of apps, so the app is called unseen, basically it

lets you read whatsapp, facebook messenger, viber and telegram messages without leaving the

blue double check mark.

The idea is really good, a bunch of people will find this app helpful, but i don't

know why you need to do this, that's just my opinion.

6.Amazer, is an upcoming internet platform where new internet celebrities are discovered,

basically, it's like a different take on what musically is already doing.

I haven't actually used musically, but i have pretty good idea about the app, so in

amazer you can post selfie, lip sync ,dance ,outfit of the day videos, and you basically

battle against other users, its like a video battle where other users can vote who did

better and you win prizes, IF you don't like to post you can watch hours of "entertaining"

content and vote which user did better.

I'm not a huge fan of it, maybe you'll like it.

7.The 2nd wallpaper app on today's video is loopwall, you might have an idea about

this app already.

It is live wallpaper app based on looping gifs, the idea is quite nice, but since we

are using gifs , the resolution is not that great but the battery consumption will be

much lesser than other live wallpaper apps.

And to be honest it is something that I would use, there is a ton of gifs available on the

app and you can also use the gifs that you have. And yeah, It is pretty different app.

Check it out.

5 WAYS TO MAKE MONEY BLOGGING (Simple Ways to Monetize Your Blog's Audience and Make Money Online) - Duration: 2:40.

You have a blog, you have traffic, but you're not making any money.

What should you do?

Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel and today I'm going to share with you five ways you can

monetize your blog.

Let's start off with the easiest one.

Number one, AdSense, it's something that Google provides, and allows you to put ads on your

site.

People put AdSense on their site, you put it throughout your text, your sidebar, every

time they click on it, you will make money.

Number two, affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs is where you promote a product or service, and you get paid every

time you drive a sale.

There's a lot of networks out there that have affiliate offers such as Click Bank, or JVZoo.

You can go there to sign up for offers, promote them on your blog, and you'll get paid every

time you drive a sale.

Number three, sell digital products.

From e-books, to courses, there's an infinite amount of possibilities with digital products.

You can even use a service called Kajabi to deliver your digital products to the people

who buy it.

Now when you're selling digital products the best way to do it is typically through a webinar.

Have people go to your site, register for a webinar, watch, and then some of them will

end up buying or becoming leads, or customers, for your digital products.

Number four, sell your own ad space.

AdSense, which is owned by Google, is the middleman.

If you don't want to have a middleman you can go directly to the people that should

be advertising and get them to buy ads.

Sure, most people are going to say no, but that's okay.

If you hit enough people up, someone will buy a ad spot.

That way you can keep that middleman fee and you'll make more money.

Number five, sell physical products.

A good example of this is Legion Athletics.

They have a blog all about fitness and they sell physical products.

Proteins, supplements, vitamins, and you know what?

They do millions and millions of dollars a year.

They do over $10 million a year, literally, over $10 million a year because of their blog

traffic.

It's super effective as long as you're creating amazing product that people want to buy.

Use those five methods and you'll be able to monetize your blog.

If you want, you can use multiple of them.

Some people do ads and they sell digital products.

Some people sell digital products and physical at the same time.

It's up to you on what you want to do.

I wouldn't recommend doing all five, because it's just overwhelming for a visitor, but

you can pick one or two, and if you want to go to the extreme you could pick three of

those methods and use them all at once.

False Facts That Actually Changed The World - Duration: 5:18.

Look back through our history, and you'll find that the idea of "fake news" definitely

isn't new.

In fact, there are a ton of theories, stories, and scientific "facts" that we now know were

just hot garbage.

Making matters worse, some of those facts weren't simply accepted as truth, but were

used as the very building blocks of the world we know today…for better or worse.

Usually worse.

To infinity and beyond

A few short centuries ago, the United States was populated by vast herds of buffalo, flocks

of thousands of birds, and dense forests.

It was a paradise on earth... until foreign settlers came along and ruined the heck out

of it.

What New World settlers found was so incredible that they developed what the British Association

for American Studies calls the "myth of superabundance": a belief that this unsettled world was limitless.

There were so many resources available that there was no reason to think we'd ever use

them all up… so we decimated beaver, elk, lynx, and bear populations, and completely

wiped out the passenger pigeon.

Obviously, the myth of superabundance couldn't be less true.

As the promise of wealth and limitless natural resources drove people west, loggers destroyed

entire forests, and millions of bison were hunted down to about a thousand.

Preservationists fought uphill against those practices and continue to fight today, and

fortunately, they persevered — a little.

It's why we have national parks and protected areas.

But that wasn't the end of our decimation.

Just plain stupid

By the turn of the 20th century, settlers moving west had created a whole lot of dry,

dusty land where nature once thrived, and there's a weird, very stupid reason that happened.

Wired explains that, between 1865 and 1875, people started believing that more farming

would give them more rain.

"The rain follows the plow" became the mantra of the Great Plains, and it was spread by

everyone from journalists and scientists to politicians and railway barons who stood to

make a fortune off of people heading west.

Even the Smithsonian Institution produced publications in 1870 on how planting trees

and building railroads could make the rains come.

Which just isn't how things work.

"That's not how it works.

That's not how any of this works."

Farmers kept farming through drought conditions, which stripped away ground cover and turned

the Midwest into the exact opposite of a rainy, farm-friendly paradise, forming the useless

Dust Bowl.

Smell ya later

America wasn't the only place humans ruined by being dummies.

Take 19th century London, for example.

In the 1830s, epidemics of typhoid, influenza, and particularly cholera decimated the city.

It was so bad that even the upper class started to sit up and take notice of the squalor.

Behind it all was the miasma theory of disease transmission, which basically

meant that it was the bad-smelling air that was making people sick and dead.

That was completely wrong, of course, since there are very few smells that can actually

kill you.

"S…"

"B..."

"...D!"

Amazingly, the miasma theory actually led to London making improvements in sanitation

and ventilation — but there was still a problem.

After the cleanup, and a marginal improvement in overall health due to generally cleaner

conditions, people wouldn't accept that bad smells didn't make you sick.

In the 1850s, an anaesthetist named John Snow (not that one) theorized that cholera was

actually a water-borne contagion, but the miasma theory was so widely accepted that

no one believed him.

It wasn't until an 1892 cholera outbreak in Hamburg, Germany that people started thinking

that maybe Snow had been onto something after all.

Full of phlegm

Ancient Greek physicians wrote that human body was governed by the interaction between

four disgusting-sounding elements, or "humors": yellow bile, black bile, phlegm, and blood.

If your body had too much of any of these juices, it could become choleric, melancholic,

phlegmatic, or sanguine.

When those humors were in balance, all was well.

But if you had too much blood or were too calm, you were officially sick.

Even by the 19th century, this was still the go-to theory.

Many medical treatments were still being employed to restore the humors' balance, including

the dangerous practice of bloodletting.

It was definitely a case of the treatment being worse than the illness, and countless

people died from what was being done, theoretically, to make them better.

According to PBS NewsHour, one of those people was George Washington.

While we don't know precisely what killed him, the fact that doctors removed about 40

percent of his blood in an attempt to alleviate his sore throat probably didn't help matters.

The North Pole shortcut

In this age of Google Earth, it's hard to imagine not knowing what's lurking at every

corner of the globe, but it wasn't really that long ago that we didn't have a clue about

what was at the North or South Poles.

In the 16th century, explorers believed that the North Pole's endless days would be enough

to melt any ice that might have been there, so the region would be a warm, open sea.

And according to theory, massive ice floes could only happen in freshwater anyway, so

there wouldn't be any in the Arctic.

Sailing straight across the pole would be a shortcut, so intrepid explorers spent the

next few hundred years trying to do just that.

It wasn't until 1879 that the ill-fated expedition of George Washington de Long proved that the

polar sea was pretty much just ice after all… when his ship was crushed.

By ice.

In an ironic twist, however, we might just be making the legend come true after all.

INTERVIEW: Why did you start using social networks? - Duration: 0:27.

Why did you start using social networks? Because of my children and grandchildren.

And how do you use it to communicate with them?

Very, very infrequently. Don't even ask. Why is that?

Because its too time consuming. I understand.

Would you ever want to be a friend of say North Hill or another brand?

Probably not. Why not?

I just don't have information I want to splash all over the world.

without further ado, let's go watch the MV

my roommate's asleep right now

Did you just see taehyung with his eye contacts?

He looks so friking good with them

That $5000 Gucci jacket tho

How is this DNA tho

I feel like BTS just want to kill all their fans because

people are going to replicate their dance right?

like do covers?

This song will be on repeat for the next month

Suga looks so good with his blue hair !!

even though he might go bald tho lmao

I feel like jin has more lines in this song?

or is that just me...?

oooh look in the the future (I think I meant universe lol)

can I be part of that too guys?

is it just me or...

a little exo vibe?

I'm not trying to start any war but

with the whole universe thing?

just brings back old exo memories

*dead again*

the dance moves are so BTS tho

it has the signature style to it

It's so clean cut, so powerful

yaaaas

it's over...

awww it's over... *sad*

I'm sad

waking up this early

in the morning is worth it

because it's for BTS

I'm so happy that BTS is making a comeback

because it's been long enough and

I miss the so so so so so so much

If you got to the end of the video, congratulations!!
