I don't know what's real but I really wanna feel you now

Get a little too close can I stop your heart for a moment?

If I don't even care, is that really such a crime?

The Love of God Meets Every Need with Kenneth Copeland (Air Date 9-8-17) - Duration: 20:38.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

KENNETH: Hello, everybody, I'm Kenneth Copeland. Father,

we thank You for this broadcast. We thank You

for our partners all over this world, from the top of

it to the bottom of it and all the way around, and particularly

those in Africa, all over Africa. And, oh, Father, just, I

hold them up to you for prayer, for blessing, for the Word and

the--to heal their bodies and whatever they need today in

Jesus' name. Amen. Back in May of this year, I preached at a

pastors' conference in Faith Tabernacle Church in Nigeria

there in Canaanland. Today's message came from the big

church, and I'm talking about the big church, seating

capacity, well, 50,000 plus. There's room for 100,000 in the

overflow tents outside. My first service on Sunday morning

was--we got there in the rain and people were standing out in

the rain, waiting to get in. I'm telling you, these are church

people. It was so strong in there. I'm telling you, it was

so strong in there. I--well, I can go on and on, but I want you

to experience it. Get your Bible and join us as

we learn how Jesus bore this whole thing for you.

KENNETH: Open your Bibles with me this morning

to I John, the 4th chapter, please, and Verse 16. "And

we have known and believed the love that God hath

to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in

God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we

may have boldness in the day of judgment--" listen to this

"--because as he," Jesus "--as he is, so are we in this world."

My, my, my. "There is no fear in love." Well, of course, there's

no fear in love. God is love. Say it, "God is love!" AUDIENCE:

God is love. KENNETH: "There is no fear in love; perfect love

casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is

not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved

us." Hallelujah. Now, notice, "we have known." But that's not

enough. We have known and believed the love. Amen? We have

known and believed the love. We have faith in God, Who is love,

then we have faith in love. Most people--I'm talking about

Christian people now. Most Christian people, if you were to

ask them, "Do you believe God loves you?" They would say,

"Well, of course. Of course, I believe He loves me." But in the

middle of the night, when fever comes, a child is sick, "Oh,

God, why did you let this happen to me?" Love never made your

baby sick! Love didn't allow your baby to be sick. You

allowed your baby to be sick, because God, Who is love, has

put the authority over sickness and disease in your heart and in

your mouth! (Cheers & Applause) Amen! (Audience "Amens") Instead

of standing there, "Oh, I just don't understand why God put

this on me." Oh, shut up! (Laughter) Just shut up!

(Cheers) God is love! Would you ever put sickness on your baby?

AUDIENCE: No. KENNETH: Well, how much more a loving God would

never, ever put sickness on anybody? God has never made but

one person sick. God has never made but one person poor. That

person was Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. And He laid

your and my sickness and disease upon Him. Love did that. Love

and the Son of His love did that. Not only that, love

Himself went to hell, my brother and sister, where we don't have

to go. Isn't that good? You ought to be shouting by now!

(Laughs) Love went to hell where I don't have to go. But He

didn't stay there but three days and nights. And love broke open

the bowels of hell. The mighty power of His Word went coursing

down through the eons of time and hit Jesus while He was

suffering and looked like He was destroyed. Ah, but the Word of

the living God came through there and said, "That's enough!

That's enough!" Jesus was manifested in the flesh in

Bethlehem, but He was made alive in the Spirit in the pit of

hell. Hallelujah. (Audience Agrees) And all of a sudden,

this--Isaiah, the 52nd chapter, the 4th verse said, "He was so

marred, he didn't even look human," and in their suffering,

been, "made a curse for us: For cursed is everyone that hangeth

on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on," you and

me. (Audience "Amens") But in that--in the depth of hell,

deeper in the pit that any man had ever gone before or ever

will go, because He bore it all. Amen? (Audience "Amens") And in

that pit, the Word of the living God--you can read it in the 1st

chapter of the book of Hebrews, "And to the Son he saith, Thy

throne, O God, is for ever--and again, I will be a Father unto

him, and again he shall be my Son." Hallelujah. AUDIENCE:

Hallelujah. Amen. KENNETH: The first man, the first man to ever

be born again, He is no longer the only begotten Son of God. In

the 1st chapter of Hebrews, it said, again, "When God," who is

love-- See, every time you hear the word "God," you need to

think, "love." And every time you think "love," and hear

"love," you need to think, "God." (Audience Agrees) Amen.

(Audience "Amens") He's called the firstborn. You didn't get

it. I said He's not the only begotten. He's called the

firstborn from the dead, oh, the firstborn of many brethren!

Hallelujah. (Audience "Amens") They--for--if there's a

firstborn, there's got to be a second-born and a third-born.

And you and me are in there somewhere. Glory to God.

Hallelujah. Somebody ought to be shouting, "Amen," by now. Glory

to God. (Audience "Amens") AUDIENCE: Whoo! KENNETH: God,

Who is love--think about this. There is nothing, no feat that

you can do to cause God, Who is love, to love you any less. Let

me ask you a question. When God created the earth, what'd He

say? He saw that it was good. It was good. Now, if God is going

to put sickness and disease on you, where is He going to get

it? There's not any in heaven. Jesus said, "Pray, ye, thy will

be done on earth, as it is in heaven." Well, that means that

it's God's will for you to be healed all the time, every time,

because there's no sickness in heaven. On what day did He

create cancer? Well, of course not. He didn't. Love would never

have created cancer. Cancer came from the darkness. Cancer came

from sin. Nobody had sinned or died until Adam sinned and died.

There was no sin. There was no death. There was no sickness.

There was--there were no storms and violent weather. There were

no wars. All sin, sickness, disease and fear were brought

into the human family because of the hatred that Satan has for

mankind. And Jesus went to hell and redeemed us from that sin

because of His great love for mankind! Hallelujah. Somebody

needs to be shouting, "Amen," right along there. (Audience

"Amens") Now then--now then, in the 8th chapter of the book of

Romans--shall we look there, please? Romans 8, in the 15th

verse--now, remember we read, "perfected love casts out fear."

Now, fear can be managed. There are people that are afraid to

fly in an airplane but fly in it anyway or, in other words,

manage the fear. Some people have never even learned how to

manage the fear, but we're not talking about managing fear.

We're talking about casting it out, getting rid of it. Amen.

(Audience "Amens") Thank You, Lord. And He said here we have

not received the spirit of bondage. Say it, "Spirit--"

(Audience Repeats) "--of bondage again to fear." Fear, and we'll

see it in a moment, is bondage. But you have received the spirit

of adoption whereby we cry. We're supposed to be crying

this. We're supposed to be shouting this. We're supposed to

be laughing for the joy of this. You ought to say this at least a

hundred times a day. We have received the spirit of adoption

whereby we cry, "Abba, Father." The word "Abba" means "loving

Father," loving daddy, the one who loves me and cares for me.

Hallelujah. Oh, Lord. As you see, I can't stay up there. I've

got to get down here where I can talk to you. (Laughter) Praise

God. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. We're not--I'm not

afraid of our Father. No. The first time I ever read that in

the 17th chapter of John, that God loves me as much as He does

Jesus, I thought, "What? Can I say that?" See, I didn't know.

All I had was a religious mind, and religious people are afraid

of God, as if He's just sitting there waiting, you know, just

to--I'm going to tell you something. Somebody said, "You

better watch out. God's going to get you for that." My brother

and sister, if God ever got you, there wouldn't be nothing left.

They'd just say, "What is that greasy spot right there?" "Oh,

that's where that guy was that got God." (Laughter) No, no,

He's a loving Father. You know why it's impossible to please

Him without faith? Because without faith, there's no grace.

And without grace, He can't bless you. He's a blessing God.

AUDIENCE: Yes, sir. KENNETH: That's the reason He remembers

our sins no more. He said, "For my own sake, I remember your

sins and iniquities no more." I said, "Lord, you mean for my

sake?" He said, "No, no." He said, "For My sake." He said,

"You want to remember ugly stuff about your children?" I said,

"No." He said, "Well, I don't want to remember anything ugly

about you either, boy." He said, "In fact, if I remember your

sins, I can't bless you." And love wants to bless. All the

time, He loves you and He wants to bless you. But think about

it. Think about it. You ought to be thinking about it every day.

Every morning when you get up, you ought to say, "Abba, oh,

Abba, my loving Father, I love you today. And I cry,

'Hallelujah, I've got a Father.'" I have a Father.

AUDIENCE: I have a Father. KENNETH: Mm, I have a Father.

AUDIENCE: I have a Father. KENNETH: Oh! I have a Father,

and He loves me. "And even though I walk through the valley

of the shadow of death, I fear no evil." Why? AUDIENCE: Because

He's with me. He's always with me. KENNETH: Yeah, and He's the

biggest thing in the valley. (Laughs) And, hey, may I ask you

a question? Have you ever seen the shadow of a dog bite

anybody? AUDIENCE: No way. No. KENNETH: This is not the valley

of death, it's the valley of the shadow of death. There ain't

nothing to be afraid of, of a shadow. That's just the devil

trying to spook you around, man, saying, "Ooh." He said, "I'm

going to kill you." You can say, "Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha." (Cheers &

Applause) Ha-ha-ha-ha. Did you know that's scriptural? The Word

says that God sits in the--Who is my Father, sits in the

heavens, laughing. Come on. He sits in the heavens, laughing at

the devil. Now, does it say this or does it not, that we have

been raised up together with Him, to sit together with Him?

If we sit together with Him, we can laugh at the devil with Him.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. (Cheers & Applause) Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. Oh,

that'll get joy all over you, brother. And the joy of the Lord

is His strength. If you'd been too weak, you're not--you're

lacking in joy. "Oh, Brother Copeland, I don't see nothing

funny." Well, go look in the mirror. You'll laugh at that.

Look at yourself. (Laughs) See, you can laugh by faith whether

you feel anything or not. "Ha. Ha. Ha, devil. Ha-ha-ha.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. You think I'm sick, but I'm not.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha." (Laughter) "You think I've got pain in my body,

but I don't. By faith, I don't have any pain. I have a

daddy. I have a healer. I have faith in God, Who

is love. Ha-ha-ha!" (Laughter & Applause)

Natural Hair Journey - Duration: 13:33.

So I wanted to start the video with off with some baby pictures and pictures from birth

until now because most people when you go natural if your hair gets past a certain length

they just chalk it off to you've always had good hair.

And I'm not denying the fact that I've always had good hair.

My mom used to tell me that all time that I had good hair it was really soft and kind

of easy to manage so I wanted to start with pictures like that but you will also see that

with improper care that good hair can do some bad things.

So I was born with a full head of hair.

I can't remember a time where I didn't really have a ponytail or pigtails that's pretty

much how I wore my hair when I was little.

Um braids every now and then just with my own hair not anything too crazy.

My mom used to say that all she had to do was put water and grease in my hair and it

would curl right up so she would just platt it and keep going.

As I got older, I remember her pressing my hair out a lot and even with her pressing

it my hair I never really saw much damage with my hair being pressed.

My mom took very good care of my hair.

Um and so if my hair wasn't pressed out which I hated, it was in a ponytail or pigtails

or some sort of braids.

So when we moved to Texas I was finally able to get a perm and I was actually very excited

to get a perm um since my hair was so soft my mom said that the only thing they could

put on it was a just for me perm and um in this picture you can see my hair was actually

pretty healthy to have a perm it was still pretty long.

So after getting my perm my mom was actually still taking care of my hair for many years.

And then I decided that I wanted to take care of my own hair and I would straighten it all

the time.

I washed it at least once a week which meant four times a month I was washing, blow drying,

flat ironing my hair, flat ironing in between, curling in between.

So by the time I turned 16, my hair was completely fried.

Not only was I straightening it all the time but I also colored my hair.

I got highlights so my hair was not in the best state as you can see in this picture

it was completely damaged.

I barely had any hair left at this point.

And so as the years went by from sophomore year to senior year actually from sophomore

year to my freshman year in college I started taking care of my hair.

My friend taught me how to wrap my hair, so I started seeing the health of my hair return

and in this picture this is probably the longest my hair was from when I started taking care

of it myself and this is actually right before I decided to cut my hair off.

I had started using Dr. Miracles and for awhile it seemed like my hair was getting healthy

and thick again and then when I went off to college I wasn't getting my hair done regularly

by a beautician and it seemed like it just started breaking off all over again.

And I actually wanted to be able to do my own hair.

I did not like being that far away from home and not having a black hair stylist anywhere

around and so I decided that I was going to go natural that it was the best thing for

me.

I decided that I wanted to go natural so I could have the freedom to take care of my

hair, so my hair could actually be healthy and long.

So in December 2008 I decided I was going to transition.

And I actually was only going to transition and cut it off once I got it to a length that

I was happy with and by May 2009 I just knew that I wasn't going to be able to stick with

transitioning.

I started to see my curls and I wanted to actually wear out my curls and if I did that

I was either going to straighten it or chop it off so I decided to just chop it off and

start fresh with just my natural hair and not have two different textures in my hair.

So this picture is actually three months after I chopped it off.

I was actually too scared to take pictures.

I hated the camera, I hated my hair and so I wouldn't let anyone take pictures of me.

And as you can see my hair was really short it was very fuzzy all the time it seemed like

and it showed some curl but only when it was dripping wet out of the shower.

After that it turned into this fro and I couldn't seem to find any products that would define

my curls I just thought I had 4c hair and that it was meant to be in a puff.

So I did a lot of twist outs to kind of manipulate my curl pattern so that it was wearable and

when I got to the point where I was really sick of wearing twist outs I started protective

styling and protective styling ended up being something that I always turned to instead

of wearing my hair.

Protective styling and straightening became my go to's.

So when my hair got to a certain length that I could wear it straight I would or I would

just straighten it to see where I was at.

So between the twist outs and the straightening I would occasionally try to do a puff.

I would wear it from a twist out and a twist out would not generally work so it turned

into a puff or when I got out the shower I tried to throw something in it and it would

always turn into a frizzy mess.

So by year two I discovered the curls products and I wanted to try doing the whole product

line for the whole year and to see if the products itself would help my hair.

And as you can see my curls did start to pop but I could not deal with the shortness of

it all.

So I again went to protective styling and started wearing lace front wigs and twist

and anything that would keep me from having to deal with my hair.

And of course I would straighten it.

I really tried to rock the twist for the longest time and it just never seemed to work.

My hair never stayed moisturized and so as a result I would straighten it.

And when I would straighten it I would notice how rough my hair felt, how dry and brittle

it felt and towards the end of the second year I actually noticed that the back of my

hair especially seemed like it was very rough and that I had a lot of split ends.

And so any time I would straighten my hair I would trim my hair and I really didn't have

a problem with my hair growing I had a problem with it staying moisturized and not breaking

off from me constantly straightening it or from me trimming off all the dead hair from

straightening it.

And so you can see occasionally I would wear my hair out but I would always revert back

to a protective style or straightening.

And as I said before my hair was so dry and frizzy that I thought I had 4c hair and so

I thought the puff was all that I would ever experience.

I also experimented with mini twist which was a disaster because when I took them down

my hair was always so tangled so of course I would go back to protective styling when

I had trouble with my hair and I actually got into making wigs and this resulted in

me hiding my hair for months at a time not taking care of it not conditioning it properly

and then occasionally wearing it out and not knowing what to do it.

This particular style all I did was put conditioner and eco styler gel on it and it shrank up

so much and I honestly did not like how short it was even back then I was getting major

shrinkage and so I thought maybe if I colored my hair I would enjoy it more and that was

also a disaster.

My hair had 3 different colors because I wanted it to have some sort of pop to it so that

I could wear it curly and it was so dry.

I didn't realize that coloring it meant that I was going to have to take even better care

of it and I wasn't taking good care of my hair to begin with and as you can see this

is only three weeks after I had colored my hair and my hair had actually started growing

out pretty fast from this so my hair was growing it was just what I was doing once it had grown

out that was keeping me from seeing any length.

My hair was extremely dry all the time and yet I still decided it best to straighten

it.

So in this picture you can see on the left was actually from year 2 at the top right

was from when I first colored my hair and as you can see months after it was back to

the length it was in year two.

And from this point I started noticing heat damage and split ends again so I started trying

to do the curly girl method and I started doing a lot of wash n gos at this point and

the color started growing off even faster.

And so I decided to start chopping my hair off and this picture is actually one occasion

that happened this is something that you saw from this point on.

I was always cutting on my hair any piece I did not like any heat damaged anything that

did not look right I would cut off.

Here I actually got the chance to be one of the curls models at the natural hair show

and I was given some products to try out for the show and I fell in love with them.

I started falling back in love with my curls.

They were actually very encouraging made me feel very comfortable with my hair.

So I started taking better care of my hair and in this picture you can see my hair was

actually silkier, smoother, had more shine to it.

So it seemed as though my hair was going in the right direction and so from then on it

was like an off and on with me taking care of my hair and then straightening it noticing

damage cutting it off.

So this is something that was happening from 2012 all the way to 2014 and I really really

tried to focus on wash n go's and the curly girl method and I actually noticed that my

hair was getting very mushy from over moisturizing my hair.

So I had to learn how to balance everything out and by July 2014 it seemed as though I

was going in the right direction.

My hair was actually pretty long and it was actually pretty healthy and I realized oh

its long its healthy its pretty I'm going to continue to straighten it and by the time

I graduated in 2016 as you can see I was back to chopped off damaged hair and actually in

between that time I actually colored my hair a few more times.

So I wasn't really taking the best care of my hair.

And when I moved back home after graduation I had more time on my hands and my mom and

I actually started taking care of our hair together.

We were kind of keeping each other accountable.

I dyed my hair black so I didn't have to look at anymore of the awful color I had done in

the past.

And it seemed like my hair was on track.

But what I noticed was that I had a lot of split ends, so anytime I straightened my hair

I would trim off my hair bit by bit and I was still doing the curly girl method still

doing wash n go's but I actually would bun my hair up everyday.

So even if I did a wash n go I would slick it back into a bun and I noticed that even

though I was trimming my hair off a whole lot that it was growing back so my hair pretty

much stayed right above my bra strap all of 2016 the end of 2016 August to December all

the way up into this past summer and I actually did another trim which brought it back to

bra strap length but I noticed that my ends are much healthier at this point.

I have not taken any pictures since I March 2017 I actually haven't wanted to straighten

my hair too much anymore but it does seem like I'm finally going in the right direction

and one thing I can say I noticed was when I started taking care of my hair deep conditioning

and enjoying my hair that my hair started to thrive and I also left the flat iron alone

so I bunned my hair up a lot over the summer I did a bunch of wash n go's putting very

moisturizing products on it listening to my hair noticing that when it's dry ti does not

mean to straighten it or hide it So I hope that this was helpful.

I hope that seeing my journey helps someone with their journey to just put down the straightener,

back away from the color, and embrace your curls.

Thanks for watching.

Taking Messages | English Telephone Conversations and Call Center English (PART 2) - Duration: 11:23.

English Winners. This is my second part of my series on making and taking phone

calls. If you have not seen the first video, I invite you to check it out now...

It's the first link you'll see in the description below. So, in the first video

I talked about how to answer a phone call. what other people might say to you,

and what you might say to them. And, I went over a very basic phone

conversation: you answer the phone, they ask you a question, you answer, and then

you get off the phone. Now this will be a new simple phone call. In this

conversation, someone is calling you and you answer, but this time they are trying

to talk to somebody else... somebody who isn't you. Now there's two things you can

do: In the first situation, the person is there, and you can connect them to the

other person... either by hitting a button on the phone, or by handing the phone to

the other person. The other option is the person is not there, in which case you

can either give another number that will reach that person, take a message, or just

tell the caller to call back later. We're going to go over the first situation now,

which is: the caller is trying to reach somebody who is not you, but that person

is here. So they call you on the phone... (This is my phone. Smart phone. It can even

bend... Pretty nice) So, they're calling and they say: "Hello. Can I talk to Steve?" Now

you are not Steve, right? YOU are not Steve. But Steve is in the same building. How do

you respond? How do you answer this person? Let's go into that now: You might

need to give yourself some time to find that person, and that means there's going

to be some dead time on the phone. Dead time is that moment that's quiet.

Nobody is saying anything. And so, to fill that dead time - and let the other person

know you are trying to help them - you can say something like: "One moment, please." "One

moment, please." "One moment, please." Or: "Just a moment,

please." Just a moment please."

"Just a moment, please." Now if it's a really informal conversation, you can say:

"Hang on a sec." "Hang on a sec." "Hang on a sec." Now, what is a sec? A sec is short for

second. "Hang on a second." So, those are things you can say to give the other

person knowledge that you are trying to find that other person. Now, you might

need to put them on hold, which is where they're on the phone and they're just

listening to music or something... while you're looking for the number to

transfer them. You can say: "Please hold." "Please hold." "Please hold."

Now, survival tip: Do not say "Wait." Let's say they say: "Hello. This is Steve. Is Tom

in?" and you're just like: "Okay, wait." That is rude. When you say "wait" like that, it

sounds like you are giving a command... like you are higher, and the other person

is lower - beneath you - and you're commanding them. "Wait." Like they're a dog,

or something. And if you talk to other people like they are lower than you, it

might hurt their feelings. They might be offended. And if they turn away and stop

calling you, you've just damaged a client relationship. So be very careful.

Don't say: "Wait." Say: "One moment, please." or "Please hold." All right? Now, when you

take them off hold, you can say: "I'll transfer you right now." "I'll transfer you

right now." "I'll transfer you right now." And then you

can press in the button that moves the phone call to a different telephone

...where that person is. Or, if the person is now standing right next to you, like

you're here and the other person the caller wants to talk to is here, you can

say: "Here he is." or "Here she is." "Here he is." "Here she is." And then you hand the

phone to the other person, and they will have the conversation, so there's no need

to say: "Talk to you later. Bye now." You can just say: "Here he is." Or:

"I'm transferring you now." And that's it. You've already gotten off the phone call.

Congratulations, you just completed another type of phone call. So let's

practice this a little. I'm going to make a phone call, right? I'm actually going to

get out my real phone for this, and then we'll we'll play it out, okay? "Hello. This

is Tom calling. Is Steve in?" "One moment, please."

"Yes. Steve's in. Let me transfer you now." And that's it! Then the other one was: "Hello.

This is Tom. Is Steve in." "Yes. Hang on a sec." "Hey, Steve! Steve! Someone wants to

talk to you. It's Tom." "Here he is."

And that's it. So now, we have another situation: someone is calling. They are

trying to talk to somebody - who is not you - but that other person is not here. It

will look like this: "Hello. This is Tom. Is Steve in?" And then

you're thinking: Steve is not here. What do I say? What do I say to Tom? We're

going to go into that now. So now you can say something that lets Tom know that

Steve isn't here, and this is what you say: "I'm sorry, but Steve is not here

right now." "I'm sorry, but Steve is not here right

now." And then, if you want to be a little more vague, like, maybe the person IS here,

but they can't answer the phone right now, you can say: "I'm sorry, but Steve is

unavailable right now." I'm sorry, but Steve is unavailable right now." And of

course, you replace Steve with any name: "I'm sorry, but Anne is unavailable right

now." Practice it a little bit. So it's: "I'm sorry, but..." Or: "I'm sorry..."

"I'm sorry, but Steve isn't available right now." "I'm sorry but Anna's not here

right now." And then, if you want to be more friendly, you can say: "Can I take a

message?" "Can I take a message?" "Can I take a

message?" You might also hear: "Do you want me to leave them a message?" "Do you want

me to leave them a message?" So you want me to leave them a message?" Now, when you

say that, you're letting the other person know: hey, just tell me what you want them

to know. I'll write it down and give it to them, so that way, they know. They know

that you called, and then the other person can say: "Yes... My lunch appointment will

have to be moved from 12 to 12:30 because... I have to... drop off

my kid at at school." I'm sure school doesn't start at 12, but

that's just a reason, right? So that's one thing you can do. You could say "I'm sorry,

but they're not here right now. can I take a message?" Now, when you need

to get off the phone, it's the same as before: the intonation goes down. "Okay...

thank you for calling... all right... bye, now." But with one twist, okay? Now you can add a

new statement: "I'll let them know you called." Or "I'll give them the message."

Let's try those two: "I'll let him know you called." "I'll let him know you called." Or,

if it's a lady: "I'll let her know you called." And then the other one: "I'll give

them the message." "I will give them the message." "I'll give them the message." So

it'll sound like this, when you are getting off the phone: "Okay. Thank you for

calling. I'll give them the message. All right,

bye." And it's just that simple. So let's try that in a phone

conversation example, okay? "Hello. This is Tom is Steve in?" "I'm sorry, but Steve is

unavailable right now. So you want me to take a message?"

"Sure. Just tell them that I was going to send the papers by email at noon, but I'm

going to have to do it at three o'clock because of a emergency. So just tell them

they will get the papers later, okay?" "Get the papers later... okay.

I will pass on the message. I will let them know you called. Okay? Talk to you later,

bye." That's it! Congratulations. Now you know how to answer around 70 to 80% of

all the calls that you will receive. It's pretty much that simple.

Now, there's still a BIG middle... answering all those questions, but

that depends on where you're working and what you have to do... something that I

cannot possibly know as your teacher.

And it is the responsibility of your bosses

and superiors to let you know what you should say. Okay? So, I might go over some

other conversation examples in the future, but this should give you a basic

foundation on how to answer the phone. If you like this video, please SUBSCRIBE.

ES2017, what's new in Vue and CSS Grid: FrontEnd news (8 Sep'17) - Duration: 4:41.

In case you've missed it: ES2017 was officially released and published at the end of June.

[Music playing]

Hi!

Let's talk today about ES2017, what's new in Vue and CSS Grid.

I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the Frontend development.

[Music playing]

ES2017 (the 8th edition of the JavaScript Spec) was officially released and published

at the end of June by TC39.

Dor Moshe prepared an overview of the most interesting JavaScript features.

It is worth distinguishing among them: padStart and padEnd, Object.values and Object.entries,

getOwnPropertyDescriptors, etc.

You can read this article on Hackernoon.

In case you're interested in what's coming to JavaScript, Nicolás Bevacqua keeps the

list of TC39 Proposals updated as well as tracks the current stage for each of them.

Benedikt Meurer posted an article "JavaScript Optimization Patterns (Part 1)".

In the its first part the author highlights the impact that the concrete execution context

can have on the performance of your JavaScript code.

The second part of the article covers an optimization called Function Context Specialization, introduced

to V8 with TurboFan.

[Music playing]

Rob Dodson has released a new episode of A11y cast.

In this video he talks about Shadow DOM and a labeling problem.

At the end he demonstrates a couple techniques how to work around this issue.

Meanwhile, Evan You made a report about the state of Vue in 2017.

In his speech, Evan explains his journey and describes plans for the future of Vue.

Let me bring your attention to one more good review called "How to Apply CSS3 Transforms

to Background Images" by Craig Buckler.

In this post he clarified by examples how you can use CSS3 transformation to create

the background rotation effect.

You can check that on Sitepoint.

[Music playing]

Here is another informative post, namely "Using CSS variables correctly".

The author describes several cases when CSS Variables (also known as Custom Properties)

come in handy.

And let's face with it, we used to take SASS in such cases.

"CSS is Awesome", isn't it?

CSS is weird?

Yeah, sometimes.

The answer to this question you can find out with Brandon Smith.

He shows how to cope with the most famous CSS joke and comes to conclusion, that CSS

practised wisely can be really awesome.

The last point for today is "You do not need a CSS Grid based Grid System" by Rachel Andrew.

What I have to say it's a game changer.

Rachel demonstrates why you don't need a framework anymore and why CSS Grid is enough.
