So I'm getting ready for that.

She is now at the agency.

And we were thinking about making pictures together so I think we will do that ass well today.

And in the afternoon i have another casting.

Iris is coming back so that is really nice she is probably in the plane at the moment.

that was my morning for now.

I am exited for this day!

And in one of the rooms, we can actually see that they have TVs and a game console set

up.

But it's not a Switch like your trainer has.

Instead, Team Skull still uses Wii Us which is just all kinds of sad.

Is Nintendo dumping on their own console by having it associated with the losers of the

region?

Or is it just a statement that the notoriously poor Team just hasn't had the funds to upgrade

to the new system.

Either way, we got a kick out of this Easter Egg and hope you did too.

at least for the console versions of Mario Party, as as the handheld games are completely

ignored, which is a little weird since this is a 3DS exclusive game.

But I digress.

Anyways, the game proclaims to gather the "100 Best minigames" and puts them all

in one place.

So are these really the 100 best Mario Party minigames?

Eh, that's a bit hard to say--after all, I doubt there could ever be a list that everyone

would agree on.

So all things considered, I'd say it's a decent line-up.

I'd say lot of the must-haves are here--although that is a pretty short list--such as Mario

Party 2's Bumper Balls, Shell Shocked, or 3's Bounce n Trounce, but it's also missing

some of my other favorites too, like Mario Part 1's Bobsled Run

In its place is the questionable Tug o War--you know, the rotate the control stick as fast

as you can minigame that Nintendo had to send kids free gloves for back in the day because

they were burning holes into their hands?

And then there are other odd choices, like the terrible microphone games from Mario Part

7, which still blow.

But hey, maybe some of you like those minigames--like I said, no one's going to ever agree.

Now every single one of the games have been updated with modern visuals--and they certainly

look quite nice overall, with the differences being especially obvious when it comes to

the Nintendo 64 games--which let's be honest, are pretty hard to go back to visually.

But you might notice that a lot of the minigames handle and feel a bit different too, due to

them standardizing the controls & physics across 10 generations of games.

The characters now feel a lot more responsive in Hexicon Heat for example, and the tanks

are much noticeably nimbler in Shell Shocked.

Although I'm not sure the changes are necessarily an improvement in every case--they're just

different.

Bumper Ball feels extra bouncy now to me, for instance--but again, I'm not really

sure if that's a good or bad thing.

And speaking of Bumper Balls, it does highlight one of the shortcomings of a few of these

minigames, because in the original game, it had 3 different arenas, but here, it has just

the one--and other minigames were similarly affected, with most of them simplifying it

to just a single instance.

It's a little disappointing when that variety helped make the minigames a bit more replayable.

Now as soon as you access the main menu, it's clear that the minigames are the main attraction

here, with the first and most prominent option taking you right to the minigame selection

screen, which you can helpfully filter by Type, Genre, or by which Mario Party they

appeared in.

It also allows quick access to any minigame you've marked as a favorite.

But as I mentioned earlier, playing minigames in isolation isn't terribly fun or exciting.

The games are generally shallow, lacking the depth needed to be engaging for more than

a handful of playthroughs.

Which is why the context of the board games is so important in Mario Party, as they give

the minigames purpose.

After all, if my friend is only 10 coins away from buying that Star right next to them on

the board, you can bet your butt I'm going to try my hardest to make sure you don't

win that minigame.

And this is where Mario Party: The Top 100 mostly misses the mark, as it deemphasizes

that larger context.

Instead of multiple boards with different designs and themes, as in past games, The

Top 100 offers just one in a mode called Minigame Match.

And to its credit, the core gameplay here isn't bad, featuring staples of the series,

like buying Stars and using items, such a Boo that can steal an opponent's' stars.

And it even offers a few new wrinkles, with a more open layout allowing you a little more

freedom in how you maximize your dice rolls--and since each players now has their own screen,

everyone is able to roll the dice and take their turn at the same time which speeds up

the action considerable--which itself adds a few new twists, like how if two of you happen

to grab a star at the same time time, a quick duel will decide who gets to take the prize.

Unfortunately, the board itself is very basic, and with it being the only one, I found myself

tiring of it quickly.

Now the game does provide a couple of other modes, but both are incredibly simple by comparison.

There's Championship Battles which is a simple contest to see who can win the most

of 3 or 5 minigames.

And then there's Decathlon, which is a little more interesting.

Because instead of just winning or losing a minigame, it now awards points based on

your completion time across 5 or 10 minigames.

It's actually a neat idea, as you could theoretically win the whole thing without

taking 1st place in a single individual minigame.

Unfortunately, the selection of minigames is always the same, which greatly limits its

replayability.

And that's pretty much all the modes available--at least for multiplayer.

Now thankfully, this game is entirely playable with just a single card--so don't worry

about having to have extra copies.

But if you're playing by just yourself, there is one more mode available in the form

of Minigame Island, which is a super simple adventure where you go level-to-level--or

minigame to minigame--until you reach the end.

It's really little more than a glorified menu, even if there is a Bowser fight at the

end--yes, in the form of a minigame from Mario Party 4.

Now playing Mario Party by yourself isn't something I'd recommend to my worst enemy,

and while I appreciate that the developers put in some effort for those playing by themselves,

it's annoying that you HAVE to play this mode if you want to unlock all the minigames.

So yeah, Mario Party: The Top 100 is a little weird.

What could--and should have been a celebration of the entire series really only celebrates

half of it, being the minigames.

Can it really be the "Ultimate Mario Party" if it's missing half of the gameplay, being

the board games?

Heck, is it even Mario Party at that point?

These are deep philosophical question that need answers!

And then there's the elephant in the room.

I just don't want to play Mario Party with my friends on the 3DS.

My best memories of the series are from hanging out with my buds on the living room couch,

focused on a single large screen while eating snacks and drinking...soft drinks, duh.

Somehow trying to round up 3 friends who have 3DSs, and eac playing on our own isolated

screen just doesn't have quite the same appeal.

Especially when that game is missing what made the series famous--or perhaps infamous--in

the first place.

So all in all, I found Mario Party: The Top 100 to be meh.

Even though the minigame selection is the largest and most robust it's ever been--without

the greater context of the board games, it also misses the point--at least for me.

There's still pockets of fun to be found here, but it's generally limited and short

lived.

10 BUG MOMENTS on NEW DUST2 - Duration: 4:59.

In today's video you will see some fresh awesome bugs on new De_Dust2.

Hey guys, NadeKing here.

Many of you have been asking where you can see, who won the giveaway.

Just follow my Twitter NadeKingCSGO and you get all the info from there.

Link in the description as well.

In this video I will show you some new De_Dust2 bugs, which haven't been fixed yet.

There are surely more bugs, but here are some that I found exploring the map lately, some

of them are just texture bugs, but they are still mistakes and this kind of iconic

map should not have even the smallest appearance mistakes.

Let's see what could be done better.

Let's start off with "AWP in the wall" bug.

Basically, you can drop your AWP almost everywhere in the wall and this is not good.

You can do it on the other maps as well, but right now we

are talking about De_Dust2.

I guess the mistake is somewhere in the game engine.

So it is not purely Dust2 bug, but still we have it here as well and as you can see the

situation is kinda bad right now.

Next up credits to Reddit user UnderestimatedKoala for showing this trick and we are on the B

bombsite.

You can have a natural wallhack here and see through the smoke easily.

They can't smoke defuse if you use this trick, because you can clearly see the player's model.

Although I guess and hope this bug will be fixed really really

soon.

If you want to abuse it then the best time to do it is right now.

Alright, some bad news for football fans.

You can play football on new De_Dust2 although this gate will easily let the ball out of

the map.

Considering, this is the place most soccer matches take place,

then be careful next to this gate.

A bombsite.

Really bad bug and this gives you a huge advantage against the enemy team.

Just crouch here, and if you look at this wall and move a bit you can see a sloppy texture

bug.

There is a white line on this wall.

It's just too ugly for our new beautiful Dust2.

Longhouse.

The easiest way to ruin the round for your team, especially if most of the team are already

dead.

You can't solo take this bomb from here, you need to make a boost here.

So, don't do it please.

Be superGentleman okay!

Next to T spawn.

If you or your friend stand on this trash bin you are actually walking in the air and

it is possible to shoot under your model.

Strange, but true.

CS:GO keeps suprising us with those magic tricks.

Long.

I am not really into those texture bugs, they don't bother me too much, but some pedants

are mad I know.

This line just looks really bad right here.

It's either made by drunk builders or it is some kind of Valve's bad joke.

Whatever it is, it would look better if you fix it.

Please Valve.

B bombsite.

I really like this box, it is useful for defending the bombsite in afterplant scenarios etc.

But I don't like this clipping right here.

Kinda abnormal.

If you crouch like this you can't stand up, because this clipping

is forcing you to stay crouched.

Almost like in real life, but not really.

Also, if you jump you bounce off like this.

Strange stuff going on here, watch out.

Long once again.

It is common to molotov car position as it's a very powerful spot to hold A on the new

map.

So, if you molly it, make sure your molotov is not landing under the car, otherwise it

just won't spread.

Just look at the difference and make sure you molotov lands properly next to car or

on the car.

Watch out for the bounce as well.

Supergeneral.

And the last bug of this video, or I would rather say trick, but it is just overpowered

trick and therefore looks strange.

If you are coming out from B tunnels, you can flash right on your toes basically and

not get flashed at all.

It is because of these steps new map has.

So I don't know if we can call it as a real bug, but it is kinda overpowered trick if

you can push B with a flash and you do not need to turn your head away yourself as the

flash pops.

nacho cheese because the nacho cheese there is only three grams of carbs and

since I did it in a red fasting I can a lot for the three carbs and some chips

some homemade low-carb tortilla chips I got the cut to carb if you guys saw my

la keto meetup we got these in our little swag bag so I've been testing out

different recipes and honestly they're they're amazing they're so handsome

yes so you guys having tanks and Chelsea show them what you got all right so get

into it so I got these little burritos tacos

so nacho ones those used to be my favorite oh I'm so jealous cream so they

have a meal where you get three of them so I just did that shoot my ham

I mean I haven't had in a while so and I also got Mexican pizza haven't had that

in a while either look at the UPS like all the tomatoes are on one side okay

you know it was late it's actually late we're coming this late they were a

freshie it looks alright so let's go ahead and

at the time and I used to live in Yokota so it's like full circle I lived in

Yokota and there's literally someone watching me and you Koda

so I just want to shout out I just want to shout out Kayla chambers thanks so

maybe hmm these cut the carb I just cut them into like tortilla strips they kind

of taste like um crackers I could see this being great like in place of

crackers for like a lunchable style meal so like with like salami and cheese or

with ham and cheddar they are pretty good

I don't think I could ever have enough sauce Yeah right I had to do my own and

hot sauce okay I was just switch it out just a little bit you know

add a little bit I don't know sometimes I like means sometimes I don't you cut

your Mexican piece of like how I cut my my pancakes oh yeah thank you

it's nice yeah yeah you want to want it too yeah what is your favorite item at

Taco Bell like I went there and I haven't gone there and forever the whole

menu looks different I know it's also my role of chicken something they look good

that should try the taquitos yeah I wanted you to treasure this charred one

I like the cheesy gordita crunch I didn't get that because I just kind of

felt like them yeah I haven't had this in a while no but that's usually my

go-to if I'm reelin can yeah I used to love the cheesy gordita cracked

I love the five layer burrito do they still have those Joe's we're really late

I mean those are huge though but they were good all right you followed it and

this was back in like fourth grade you were - I'm no longer

hmm this is good all right I'm gonna have to go to Taco Bell more often I

didn't even know like I could even get key two options there I like trying to

find the key to option and making it still taste good like this by itself

it's like without the nacho cheese would have been a little bland I mean it so

would have been good a taco salad but you can make a taco salad at home you

want once the nacho cheese and I have to worry about it you know yeah well I got

skinny you can kind of deconstruct anything pretty much yeah

and this originally came with the rice and beans I just asked for men of an ask

them for the side so message you can have them yeah for later cuz it's like

we're paying for that I mean if that's it that's the thing holding you up like

oh well it's still the same cops get that aside for the house for somebody

else see this fire sauce this is what I'm talking about this is what the best

wingman ever alright you can't read it but it says

I've put there one time and our target I think I've tried to get like a buffalo I

think that's a traditional but how I got it I don't know if I got it right

because it was it was or maybe the place I went to it wasn't really like the

stops wasn't really there like me was just trying to hear something but I was

like oh man I'm literally trying to get every last bit of this cheese cuz it's

not then I'm done you know I did that I did that Hey whenever you internet fast

no pill even less I have no clue whatsoever

with our finally this how many depressed excited to read those cars in Cerritos

of course you'd like it how good it was I just got it cuz I was like hmm

actually one thing I hate about being Kia like a whole bunch of lettuce salad

and she's just eating goodness and still not done because I'm a really fast eater

and she's a really slow eater I decided to enjoy each bite all the way act

that's foreign to me I don't even know what chewing is alright I'm gonna go

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

My name is Jackson Bird.

It's like low-key Thanksgiving edition.

Just real subtle Thanksgiving.

Really the only Thanksgiving bit about this is that I'm putting it up the day before Thanksgiving

and we are waffling some Thanksgiving leftovers.

Basically I went to a Friendsgiving yesterday and I had some leftover mashed potatoes so

I was like, "hey, let's waffle 'em!"

'Cause that's what I do when I have leftovers... 'cause this is what my life is... now.

these mashed potatoes.

Not super exciting.

Ooh, let's press it down.

When I was growing up, there were like these frozen mashed potato patty things that my

mom would buy and you would like thaw 'em, put 'em in the oven, or maybe the microwave

or something.

And it'd just be this like, literally just this patty of mashed potato.

And as disgusting as that was, it's one of those things from childhood where I just kind

of... miss it weirdly.

So I'm sorta hoping that's what happens by waffling these mashed potatoes is that it

maybe turns into a patty like that.

Oh, let's turn the heat up.

Alright, I'm gettin' bored.

Let's see, will mashed potatoes waffle?

Oh-ho-ha-ha-ha-ho!

Oh it's so beautiful!

Look at this perfect golden-brown, oh my gosh.

Ohh my gosh!

I mean have you ever seen anything like it?

I just love it so much!

Now here is the one point of sadness, which is that I am pretty sure that this is not

going to flip well.

Well, I don't know, that's actually stiffer than I thought.

It's just that the inside is so like soft and flaky.

I wonder if I could just like flip it... if I flip it this way...

I mean okay but like seriously, can we talk about how beautiful this is?

If this were made from waffle batter, this would be one of the best waffles I've ever

made.

The coloring, the texture, it's just so good.

It is so good.

And you know it is.

[microwave beep] Gravy's done!

Nom nom nom.

Oh!

Ohhh, that was good!

I wasn't even meant to be testing it yet, but I had a little and it tastes like hashbrowns.

Oh yeah!

Mmm!

If you're looking at this far away, it's totally like I'm just putting maple syrup on a waffle,

but it's gravy on mashed potatoes!

This is one of the best things I've ever done.

I thought I couldn't top slime, but this is a potato.

I can eat this one.

Oh yeah, mmm perfect.

Probably tastes good with ketchup too 'cause it does have that y'know hashbrown texture

to it.

Mm!

Mashed potatoes absolutely waffle!

Top 5 Super Mario Odyssey Kingdoms - Duration: 8:02.

Ah, Nintendo.

You know they had to do it to em'.

Years of struggle with the Wii U, and everyone's worried.

Nintendo is like, hahaha, just kidding guys.

Here's the best game ever made.

How do you actually make a game this good?

We all doubted Mario.

We wondered why we ever liked his games in the first place.

And Nintendo just fucked us up with an unforgettable experience.

They put together stunning visuals, sexy music, fluid controls, and ingenious level design

to just create an experience only the worst of contrarians could dislike.

The game is a fucking masterpiece that everyone should play.

I beat it in less than 24 hours on an intentionally slow run, and you probably would too.

There's so much detail, style, and care put into every single fucking pixel in this

god damn FUCKING game that I just can't even handle it.

Super Mario Odyssey is a masterpiece that reminds us what games can do.

10 out of 10.

Anyway, let's talk about the levels in the game.

The beginning of Odyssey is definitely a unique one.

When it starts, it starts at the climax of a fight between Mario and Bowser.

You didn't see anything going on before that, and it was definitely an interesting

design choice.

Because of that, the first kingdom in the whole game was in fact not a typical grassland,

but actually a Victorian England style city, but without the poor living conditions and

contaminated water.

The locals here are called Bonneters, which are ghost creatures which resemble hats.

They live in flying hats, and they can turn themselves into other kinds of hats.

The street lights look like hats, too.

The males usually wear top hats, while the females wear bowler hats.

I'm sure inside one of the hat houses there is a Bonneter wearing a fedora browsing /r/atheism.

Mario's best friend, Cappy, is a Bonneter as well.

The Kingdom has an average temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, otherwise known as perfect

weather all day, every day.

The platforming is nothing too special and you don't spend that much time jumping or

fighting in this level, but I can't help but adore it.

The most you'll be doing is flying around the foggy depths of the city as a paragoomba,

which is fun enough.

The highlight of the level though is really just the design.

I think I'm honestly just a sucker for it.

It's done just so well.

The lighting and contrast are great, and the monochrome is just so unique for a Mario level.

You'll be seeing that as a theme.

If rural Mexico is anything like what it is in Mario, I think they should build a wall

to keep ME out!

I've gone on record before saying the Mexican Calavera culture is something I love.

I've always thought the macabre festivity is something really cool and unique to Mexico.

So when there's a Mario Odyssey kingdom dedicated to it, I'm definitely happy from

the start.

The Sand kingdom was really what I expected, but there were a few surprises here and there.

Most notably the inverted pyramid, which is not just cool to look at, the interior level

is really fun too!

I think the biggest complaint I have with this kingdom is all the open space.

But even then, it's a sandy desert, that kind of stuff isn't usually crowded.

Fortunately, you can use the Jaxi and electric wiring to move from ends of the map in seconds,

so no real problems there.

Most of the level is really divided into little chunks among the empty desert.

You have the pyramid, the ancient ruins, the town, and more.

One other place you can explore is the Moe-Eye habitat, a reservation for the natives of

the region, Moe-Eyes.

They may run from you at first, but that's just their built up fear due to hundreds of

years of being pillaged by the evil imperialism of the oppressive Tostareans.

But yeah, this is definitely one of the bigger kingdoms, not just in size.

It acts as a hub for tons of smaller levels and secrets to find.

It's definitely a kingdom you could get lost in and I like that.

This kingdom definitely is one of the most valuable to revisit.

I found it interesting exploring the ruins after learning all the platforming tricks

and I was delighted to find many more secrets hidden and also surprised how the linearity

I felt earlier on in my playthrough was actually not there, and there was much more to do than

I thought!

Props to most Odyssey kingdoms for doing that, but Tostarena does it REALLY well.

There's a bit of screaming deep inside that's telling me to make a joke about Jurassic Park.

That I need to to make this video complete.

But I won't.

Cascade Kingdom is the second kingdom you'll explore, right after zooming there from Bonneton

through electrical wiring.

It's an uninhabited Jurassic Park that has been explored by the Bonneters, at least that's

what we assume based on the strange hat structure that becomes the Odyssey.

Fossil Falls is definitely one of the smaller levels, and it does have fewer Moons to collect

than some others, but I can't help but appreciate pretty much everything about it.

It knows it's breathtaking and it takes advantage of that.

The sense of grandeur you feel when playing on this level is so real and unmatched by

probably any game I've ever played.

There's just a point where you stand on the gigantic triceratops skull and think,

"wow, this is the game we've been waiting for".

It's a good time climbing the big cliff and just seeing all the things there are for

you to discover.

There're moons to excavate, secrets to find, and so much more.

Did you notice that a lot of the fossils are sprites from older Mario games?

That's clever.

This level just has so many little detaIls I can't get over.

The sound of the running water just brings me in there, and I don't say that games

immerse me liberally.

I'd say that this definitely has some of the most fun capturable enemies in the game.

The chain chomps are nice to stretch and bother, but the t-rex makes for one of the game's

highlights!

It's so good that they have to put a time limit on it!

Finishing up this level just left me satisfied and excited to come back because god damn,

it left an impact.

And it only had forty or so Power Moons.

Super Mario Odyssey was the kind of game that just left me wowed.

One moment that left me really excited was when I was in the Luncheon Kingdom and I found

the secret entrance in it, and it was Yoshi's house from Super Mario World!

And then you look across the sky and see Peach's Castle from Super Mario 64.

Come and visit the Mushroom Kingdom!

Meet the locals, Toads.

Enjoy the grassy fields and pond.

Be careful in the forest, there be Goombas.

Now I do need to admit that I was disappointed that it wasn't exactly like its form in

Super Mario 64, but really that's not a big deal.

They sacrificed the accuracy to the game and instead gave us a truckload of fanservice

all in one postgame level.

It's just so nice to finish the game and return home to a whole new adventure.

When I officially reached the Mushroom Kingdom, I was just running around it for hours scouting

for moons and new secrets.

For example, you can explore the castle courtyard retaining all the graphics from 64!

You can drain the castle moat and meet Yoshi at the top of the castle, just like in 64!

You can enter a few buildings that have the Peach's castle music and paintings that

you can enter for harder versions of previous bosses.

It's done so well.

The whole level is an incredible love letter to the fans that I have to appreciate.

It feels like its own hub world.

I know a lot of others do, but there's like a challenge everywhere you go!

Maybe it's because it's the first place you go post-game and it's the place that

introduces you to all the new kinds of post-game challenges,

But it's just so satisfying and nostalgic to explore.

Climbing the castle just gives me a vivid sense of memories of Christmas of 2007 where

I played Mario and also watched Super Scatman Mario videos, back when scat was the music

genre and not the fetish.

Good times.

Are any of you really surprised?

Like seriously.

Who DOESN'T love New Donk City?

It's beautiful at both night and day, the New Donkers are hilariously realistic, and

it's just a playground to explore.

I already have all the Moons and coins in the level, but I still come back to just climb

buildings and stuff.

If the Mushroom Kingdom is a love-letter to fans of older 3D Mario games, New Donk City

is a love letter to fans of the older 2D Mario games.

The construction beams are the same as the ones from Donkey Kong, and the "Big Banana"

is confirmed to be the setting of the arcade game from the '80s.

All the level's details are super memorable.

The street lights are question blocks, the city streets are named after Donkey Kong characters,

and there are several murals based on art from Donkey Kong.

The skyscrapers are super fun to explore and climb, and the game happily rewards the in-game

gymnasts who finesse their way up.

The level is filled to the brim with goodies and treats both horizontally and vertically.

They did a great job replicating New York.

The taxis, the lights, the liveliness, it was super impressively done.

You might notice some frame drops in the distance here and there, but then you remember that

you have this entire game in your hands and don't mind.

I Love ND for sure.

It's the crown jewel and greatest kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey!

At least, that's what I think.

I'm just taking the concealer on a little flat brush I'm just gonna take

this all over my eyes I'm going to take this up to

my brows as well I never carve out my brows but this is gonna be more of like

a really glam look today so why not and then I'm just going to set that in place

with some powder this is the insta fix and matte powder so for eyeshadows

today we're going to be using a few from Makeup Geek I know that these aren't

available and the actual drugstore drugstore they are drugstore priced and

they are really good quality as well but if you've got any similar colours to these

then absolutely use them you don't have to use what I'm using the first one I'm

going to use is a Creme Brulee which is this one and it's going to be our first

transition shade and I'm just going to take this into the crease like I usually

would with any other shadow and I know I use browns and neutrals all the time but

that's just what suits my eye color and my hair color the best but I promise I

am going to do a few different looks especially for like party season a few

more different colours like greens and purples and things so I am going to try and

get some more different looks on my channel I'm going to move on to this

shade which is Frappe it's just a little bit darker than the first one

and I'm taking this on a slightly smaller brush and I'm just working this

lower into my crease

I personally like to use a lot of different colours when I'm doing I

eyeshadow because I feel like it creates a nicer gradient and then you

can just take the brush we used for the first colour and just blend out those

edges I feel like that concealer made a really nice base the eyeshadows are

looking a really rich and pigmented next I'm going to take a Cocoa Bear and again

I'm changing to an even smaller brush this time I'm being really good with

changing my brushes today usually I'm just that lazy I use the same one for

every colour and I'm going to take this on the outer corner and I think that rich

warm browns scream holiday season and this time of year and they all my

favourite colours to use as well and then I'm taking a mix of the first two shades

that we used and then finally I'm going to take the Americano eyeshadow from

Makeup Geek and I'm sticking with the same brush this time I'm just pressing this

on the outer corner and into the crease as well and back in to this brush which

has got no extra product on just what's left over from the eye shadow I'm

just blending those all together and then I'm going to go back in to that

concealer on this same brush and just cut the crease in it a little bit

and then I am also setting that with the same powder and then to set that in

place as well I'm gonna use this shimmery shade from the Carli Bybel

palette this is the Deluxe Edition it's such an amazing palette it's got some

really nice pretty shimmery shades in there so this one is like it's got like a

purply under tone to it but it's not too purple it is quite bronzy as well I

think so this will look quite nice I am going to spray my brush at first with

some setting spray this is the Infallible Fixing Mist

from L'Oreal I definitely feel like these kind of colours those shimmery

shades always look better when you use your finger to apply them and then I'm

going back in with a Cocoa Bear and just go over where those to meet and then

for the under eye I am going to try and do exactly the same steps using the same

eyeshadows so I'm going to start with was it Creme Brulee yes I'm going to start with

Creme Brulee all underneath my eye I'm going to wing it out so it meets with the

shadow here as well moving on to the next one which I think was Frappe then a

Cocoa Bear

and I'm just going to use this eyeliner from Rimmel this is in the shade perfect

plum just to line my waterline then I'm taking that Americano shade I'm just

pressing it right into my lash line so

then I just applied my lashes and mascara used the Vegas Nay Grand

Glamour lashes and for mascara I use the Tanya Burr mascara I'm just going to add a

tiny bit of glitter to the inner corners because it is a full glam holiday

makeup look so we're going to use the Glam Crystals from Collection and this is

the silver one I'm going to try and not get it on my lashes I should have

really applied this before I'm just going to pat that in with my finger

okay so now we can wipe away any fallout which we may have before we do

foundation I'm just going to apply a little bit of this green concealer this is from

the Infallible Total Cover palette from L'Oreal and I'm just going to pop some over my

cheeks because they are quite red I've got my little heater on in this room

and it's making my cheeks so red but I don't want to turn it off because then

I'll be really cold okay then for foundation I'm gonna do L'Oreal True

Match today I haven't used this for ages and don't think it's gonna be the right

shade but I'll just have to blend it and make it work and it's absolutely not

my shade

okay then for concealer I'm taking the same concealer again

and then when it comes to blending this edge I'm just taking a really light

fluffy brush and just blending in the edges into the shadow I'm going to do a little

bit of cream contour slash bronze using the LA Girl Pro conceal in the shade

beautiful bronze and I don't use too much of this because it is very

pigmented and I find it sets very quickly as well

I'm going to set my whole face with the translucent powder that we used earlier

and then to brighten my under eyes a little bit more I'm going to use the

banana shade from this contour palette this is the NYX three steps to sculpt

and I absolutely love this yellow shade at the moment for bronzer I'm

using the Milani Baked Bronzer in the shade Glow which I absolutely love

and I'm going to do a tiny bit of blush this is Luminoso from Milani as well and

I've just realised that I don't have any highlight out so I'm going to go back

in with this palette this is the Carli Bybel palette and I'm going to take that

one there

I'm also taking this on my brow bone and inner corners as well and I'm just going to

take a tiny bit of that shade just to deepen it up my contour slightly and

finally for lips I'm first going to use this pencil which I think is an eye

pencil but I'm going to use it for my lips this is a NYX one

in the shade copper and then I'm going over with this NYX Soft Matte

Lip Cream in the shade Stockholm so that completes today's a Full Glam Drugstore

What is Docker and Container?

¡Hola a todos! Me llamo Alessandra, soy practicante acá en IBM y en la charla de hoy hablaré con Vermelho.

Hi!

He is a Lab Services Power consultant and we will talk about Docker.

That's right, Ale!

Do you want to introduce yourself?

I'm introducing myself! I'm Fernando Vermelho, I've been in IBM since 2010 working with Power and my focus has always been Power with AIX.

Virtualization with VIO Server, Power VM, etc… Actually I joined IBM with IBM AI in Power.

In the last two years the world has been turning upside down and Linux is what is dominating at the moment, so

my focus today in Power is Linux and Open Source solutions – for example, Hadoop, and what we will talk today: Docker, and Containers.

Containers, good point, what's a Container, Fernando?

It's really simple to explain, Container it's a lightweight virtual machine.

What do you mean by that, a lightweight virtual machine? Explain it to me.

A virtual machine, let's talk about the OS part, when you have a virtual machine you have the operating system that has the kernel,

has binaries commands for you to list file system, to list network configurations, etc.

A Container, for been a lightweight virtual machine doesn't have almost nothing of that, the Container runs on top of a Linux host and it will use some functions:

kernel, libraries that are in this OS host. With that, our OS Container ends up being leaner and only has the binaries that you will need.

You don't need binaries to list network settings, don't need binaries to list graphic settings, etc, things that are already inside your normal Linux,

so because of this the Container is a leaner Linux, is a leaner OS, where it only has the binaries needed for your application.

I see. But, just to be clearer, so everybody can understand it and me too. I want to understand everything in our talk here today.

Can give us an example, a way of using a Container in our day by day?

Yes. You have a Host Server where you are going to sell for two clients a space for them to work.

The first client will run an e-commerce using Tomcat, the application, with Java.

And you have another client that in the same machine you will deliver a Container where he will run his Website with PHP and MySQL.

So, what happens is, you don't need that the client A, that has his Tomcat Java, to have MySQL and PHP the binaries,

He will just have the binaries necessary to him, just like the client B, he will only have the binaries necessary to run PHP with MySQL.

Here is the change that's possible when you are using Containers.

So, by what I understand, a Container works like a VM.

Yes, usually the Container will have an IP, will have a host name, and the Client will go straight to that Container,

but it only has the binaries necessary to run that application.

And for that, the boot time, the time of creation for a Container is something very fast.

So, the time it takes you to create a VM today with the Cloud solutions available is something like few seconds,

you can create a Container in fractions of seconds. In milliseconds you have your Container in the air with your application.

But Vermelho, what about Docker? According to what I've been listening it's one of the most famous? Is it the most famous Container?

Yes, more or less... Docker isn't a Container, it's Container management tool. A tool that is here to help manage Containers.

Could you explain a little more, please?

The Container itself is something native in Linux, it's an active tool in Linux and has been for a few years, it's a concept that is already employed in Linux.

So, inside the Linux kernel, you already have commands to create a Container, you already have methods to create Containers.

But it isn't an easy task, you have to do a lot of commands, you have to edit file settings to be able to upload your Container.

Docker comes here to help us with that. So Docker, summing up, it's like a lot of scripts that you say "Docker, I want you to upload a Container

running this application", so Docker goes and runs that for you and you have your Container in the air, that's Docker's function.

I see.

And with a simple command like "Docker run MySQL", for example, you can type this command and in a few seconds you will have MySQL running.

And besides this, Docker brings another very good concept, very important that is images and images repository.

Image?

Yes.

An image repository?

Ok so, what would be an image, you created a Container, in your Container you have

MySQL running and the Container exists only during the runtime,

when you shut down that Container it ceases to exist, the image is like an ISO of a Container.

So, you take a Container and mount it and save it. You have a picture of that Container.

When you need to assemble new Containers you use that image to upload your Container.

And the image repository is just that. There is a Docker website called Docker Hub,

and in the Docker Hub we have several Container images ready.

You go there and search: "I want a WebSphere image" you will have your image ready. Then you download it and use your Container based on that image.

When I type a command, for example that one I mentioned earlier, "Docker run MySQL",

it will take a MySQL image and it will instantiate for me a Container running MySQL. Understood?

So, Container, it's an image?

Not necessarily. The image is like an ISO, you can not edit an ISO, so with the image it is the same thing,

what we usually talk about in the Docker world is that it is immutable - you do not edit an image.

The Image is there and when you need to create a Container and instantiate a Container, and to do this you "say" "Docker,

create a Container based on this Image", Docker goes, copies the data from that image to a location and saves it to your Container.

Also, another thing I have not commented yet, in the image you have something like a cake recipe where it is written things like

what are the users that will be needed in this application? what are the necessary groups,

environment variables that need to be created so that application can go up?

which command to use to start that application?, - then, you tell Docker to instantiate the Container based on an image,

it will copy the data to a location, read the cake recipe, and upload your Container based on this cake recipe.

Ah, Vermelho, now I understand the difference between Container and Image.

Right.

But can you explain a little more about image repository?

The Image repository is a place where you have the images, a place on the internet where you have the

images of the applications you want for your Containers.

So there you have images of Apache HTTPD, IBM WebSphere, IBM DB2, MySQL, all kinds of Open Source Software already compiled and ready just for you to say

"Docker, bring me that image and instantiate a Container based on that image".

I see, but what about security?

Before you talk about security...

You can use this image repository, the Docker Hub, to upload, or download images from/for your Containers, for example,

you created a Container and liked it, you compile it like an image and upload it to Docker Hub with the name you want.

For example, MySQL version Ale, MySQL version Vermelho.

Really nice, but if anybody can upload an image, how should we deal with the security question?

Ale, the question about security you asked me earlier is really good,

in the Docker Hub anyone can create a user and upload things like MySQL,

images of IBM DB2, images of anything, what's the security? When you're going to instantiate a Container you're going to create an image, you'll

create an image called "Alessandra WebSphere", is this safe? What if Alessandra has put a malicious code in this Container?

So, you need be careful. It's because of this that every time you need to instantiate a Container you should download an official image, in Docker Hub you can find a

little star that marks that image as official or not.

Furthermore, the users evaluate the image, so when you are at Docker Hub, when you need to download an image

you can find out how many people have already downloaded that image. How many gave a five star level 5, 4, 3...

So, every image has a grade, ok? This is what guarantees a little bit of security, but, we always will search for an official image.

So, I want a WebSphere, I'm not going to download Alessandra's WebSphere, I will download IBM's WebSphere.

If I want HTTPD, for example, I'll search for Apache, this ensures a better security for us to work.

Now, what is also nice in the Docker Hub, because it's a cooperative platform you create

an image and say: Vermelho, why don't you test my image to see if is all right?

I can go there download Alessandra MySQL image, the same image you tested, I test it in my machine.

Another thing about security is that you can create your own image repository at home.

Today, the most popular repository is Docker Hub, Docker's official repository.

But there are repositories of IBM, there are repositories of Google, all open.

Besides that, you can create a Container locally - so, for example, you have a company, your company is very large,

a multinational, you work with many Containers and you want to share your Container with other areas,

so you can have an internal repository where you store your Container images.

But why is the subject of Docker & Container so hot right now? Why is everybody talking about this?

Okay, today the ease that the Container delivers is very big, there are several reasons to use Docker nowadays, and to use Containers.

Easiness is the key word.

I'll give you two examples that are the top reasons why people use Containers.

Take any company, before putting an application into production, the application is developed

by the development area, homologated by the quality test area, and then goes to production.

What happens is, the development team uses a type of computer, when it moves to the quality test area the computer is different and then it doesn't work right,

it doesn't have the binaries, some binaries are missing, some libraries may also be missing, and Containers help a lot with this situation.

The developer creates his code inside a Container, stores that Container in an image and transports

that image to the homologation area for a quality test.

Quality testing creates a Container with this image, tests, with the exact same binaries that they had

in the development, the binaries will not change, the libraries won't change, they are inside the Container.

Then we instantiate this Container, do the test with the same environment that was tested in development and moves it to production.

And in production it is the same, the production will simply upload that image as a Container and will be able

to put the application into production and this ends up earning a lot of time for everyone.

A second very important reason that makes the Container gain a lot of popularity and a lot of use is the flexibility it gives you,

an example I always like to give is the "Mega da Virada" (New Year's lottery).

When we reach December 31st the amount of hits on the Caixa Federal (host) website to see the result

of the "Mega da Virada" is five thousand times bigger, ten thousand times bigger,

how do we meet this demand? Do I need to have a machine, a huge server for

every day if I'm just going to need this peak on the day of the "Mega da Virada"?

You instantiate the Container and leave it running every day of the year, when it comes the day of the

"Mega da Virada" results, you say: "Docker, now I want you to create five thousand Containers based on that image",

and then you will have five thousand and one Containers, running the same application - that is "Mega da Virada"

web page - and there you will be able to meet all the demand from customers accessing this website.

So, after the "Mega da Virada" day you just turn off 4,000 Containers and leave

1,001 running, so that's the flexibility that Containers give you.

So both the flexibility to destroy and create Containers very quickly to meet your demand.

And the fact you can move Containers in various environments guaranteeing the same structure of binaries, of libraries that are necessary for the application.

So, it makes sense now all this growth, the people's curiosity about Docker and Containers.

It's really important

But, what about Power, Vermelho? What about it in this world?

Ale, today we have Docker compiled for Linux on Power, including all the Open Source solutions that are coming out on the market they are already compiled for Power as well,

whether it is Ubuntu, Red Hat, Suse, Cent OS and other distributions you can use, like Fedora and Docker is not out of it,

Docker is compiled for Power and we have a repository of images, IBM Power, which is called if I am not mistaken of IBM PPC 64,

we have several images already compiled by IBM of several different types of Open Source solutions.

You want to run MySQL in a Container in Power, we have it. You want to run Apache HTTPD, which is one of the most classic,

on Linux on Power,you already have that in Docker Hub compiled by IBM.

If you want to run Solar, if you want to run Hadoop, any Open Source that is in the market nowadays and that is being super

used in the world of Linux, we already have it compiled also for Docker on Power.

So, you're just going to say "Docker, instantiate for me a Container based on MySQL PPC 64",

you run that command and, in a few seconds, you will have your Container instantiated running, run it again and

in fractions of seconds, you will have your Container running MySQL, DB2, WebSphere, Hadoop, Solar, whatever you need you can have.

So, IBM has a pretty big lead with Containers and Docker on Power Systems.
