T.G.I. FRIDAY (8) - COMO DIRECIONAR SEU FOCO PARA ATINGIR O QUE QUER? - Duration: 1:39.

Hey guys! How are you?

Today, Friday, at the end of the day, I came for a walk on the beach,

with a beautiful view,

and which reminds us on

our dreams and expectations.

When I was walking it came to my mind

- and here I am sharing with you -

Are you on a path towards your goals in life?

Are you on a path towards whom you desire to become in life?

It is important that you have

presence of mind,

be in the moment,

and it is crucial that you do not allow daily live's distractions

take you away from your original pathway.

Imagine that you are here walking on this sand beach

and that your main goal is to reach the ocean waters...

Think in your goals this way,

as you have a determined pathway to follow,

Of course you must consider the ups and downs, all natural of everyone's lives,

as well as the inherent life's obstacles and challenges,

but my question here is how will you keep yourself focused

in the moment, with a firm goal

in front of you?

Mindfulness techniques, which I have shared in many videos here in this channel,

may be one great solution to lower

your anxiety levels, your stress levels, keeping

you fully attentive, focused

in the now!

And of course,

allowing you to direct your energy

and all of your effort to achieve your goal,

your own goal! Does that make sense?

A big kiss to you and until next week!

The County Seat Opioid epidemic in Utah - Duration: 28:51.

Hello everybody welcome to The County Seat

I'm your host Chad Booth. Today we are going

to have a lengthy discussion for the entire half

hour on a single topic and it is the opioid

problem in Utah. It's been in the headlines a lot

but it seems likes on a daily basis you start to

see opioids connected to just about every

problem that we are having and it is definitely

part of the Rio Grande issue its part of rising

crime rates its part of a continued mental illness

it programming in jails across the counties and

it's all around a source that is now being

attributed in large part to prescription pain

medications as to why it has exploded. Joining

us now for our conversation today is of course

the Speaker of the Utah State Legislature, Greg

Hughes thank you Mr. Speaker for joining us.

Brian Besser who is the district agent in charge

for the DEA drug enforcement agency here in

Utah thank you for taking time to join us and

Commissioner Bill Lee from Utah County. They

Besser I am going to start with you and just try

to get a scope of how pervasive opioids are

obviously they sent in the big guns you have

been sent to Utah been here for a year?

About a year and half or so.

Tell me what the story is and how woven into

the fabric our society this has become.

It's a great question and it's a question I try to

paint in the context of at least my personal

experience I have been doing drug enforcement

for about 26 years and to be honest with you I

have never seen anything like it. I remember

working worth the meth amphetamine scourge

years ago in the early 90's that swept across the

United States and we watched that proliferate

even in a smaller households in the east coast I

was stationed in New York at the time and the

meth amphetamine scourge again it took us by

storm and everyone was taken back by that

because you had a drug that could be made at

home to some degree completely different then

what we are dealing with now. Now we have

this opioid crisis that is literally burgeoning

across the United States last year 2016 we lost

64,000 individuals in this country to drug

related overdose deaths. I try to paint that in

an appropriate context you could literally take

Lavelle Edwards stadium on Brigham Young

Campus fill that completely full, every single

seat on game day and wipe that off the face of

the map. That is 64,000 people. That is how

many people we lost last year this year's

numbers do not look any better. So we are

losing a lot of people to drug related overdose

the majority of those deaths are opioid and

heroin related.

has not been following to make the connection

between opioids and heroin I know the

billboards along the freeway are trying to

educate us that one is the same as the other

how are we getting a growing heroin problem

and an opioid problem what is the linkage

there?

That's a great question. Opioids are a synthetic

drug and Opiate with a "te" is more of a natural

drug we make heroin and morphine out of

opiates. Opioids are manmade they are

synthetic. So our synthetic opioids that we are

seeing now especially our pharmaceuticals like

Oxycodone, OxyContin, Hydrocodone, etc.

those are extremely powerful they have a very

highly addictive nature very highly addictive

properties to them and when individuals either

inadvertently or sometimes accidentally get

addicted to these drugs they can end up

suffering with addiction 80% of those

individuals now are seguing to street heroin its

cheaper its more readily available you get the

same type of psychotropic psychoactive affects

as you do with opioids when you are using

heroin. That is what we are seeing, it's really a

sense of supply and demand. If you can no

longer get the opiates or the opioids you end up

transferring heroin because it's on the street

and it's readily available but it is very deadly

and like we said it's the same dead that you

suffer from with opioids or heroin.

the rising element of mental illness and

homelessness and we will do that this as our

first topic when we come back here on The

County Seat.

Welcome back to The County Seat we are

talking today about opioids I want to bring my

attention from the drug and the addiction itself

to the manifestations of it which most arguable

or most people are aware has been

concentrated about the growing number of

homeless problems in the Rio Grande area of

Salt Lake City. Enough so that Speaker Hughes

adopted this a mission. You have gone a little

further than most people thought you decided

in order to solve the problem you needed to

work there tell me what has been going on?

Chad, the state legislature a number of years

ago realized that this growing open air drug

trafficking that was going on in Salt Lake City

and around the Rio Grande area and the

homeless services that were there that was out

of control to a point where it was pretty hard to

see a city or its police department all by itself

deal with the carnage with the crime with the

eco system of crime and the problems that

were there. So we began engaging as a state

and I describe it as we were helping with the

future construction in the resource centers. We

were putting police officers in our Midvale

family center to help keep a calming effect as

we kept that facility open longer. But we were

finding is in the areas that we were as a state

providing more appropriations things were

getting worse we were told that year over year

things were worse than they had ever been.

And now that is hard to hear as a state law

maker because when you put funds finite funds

towards an effort there are a lot of things that

you walk away from and a lot of my colleagues

are not from Salt Lake City or Salt Lake County

but they show the leadership that we were

going to come together and try to fix a problem

that we thought was larger than one city or one

county and it was a state. My disappointment

and even my regret that after all we had done

things were continuing to spiral and social

disorder was beyond what I think the average

Utahn would even understand. So I had a

tipping point over the 4th of July holiday we had

some death and violent acts occur it was in the

USA today the UK daily mail the whole world

was watching the urban chaos happening in our

capitol city and I decided on July 5th that I was

going down to that area I was going to have a

storefront office and all my legislative meetings

were going to be held right there in front of and

at the Rio Grande and so we began to have

policy discussions and starting to watch things

we had not seen before and you were seeing in

the Capitol building or in a committee meeting.

So what we did we began to lay the ground

work for what is called Operation Rio Grande.

Operation Rio Grande is looking to restore the

social order break the eco system of crime and

most importantly for those that are vulnerable

we have had wolves amongst the vulnerable for

years down there that was contributing to a

growing epidemic of drug addiction. We

wanted to stem that tide we wanted to get

after and break up that eco system of crime and

bring help to those who needed it. Here is

what I learned in my time down there. 4 out of

the 5 heroin addicts that were looking for their

fix their balloon of heroin out of somebody's

back pack 4 out of 5 began their addiction

through pain medication and opioid

prescriptions.

4 out of 5?

Yes, 4 out of 5. And that was staggering to me

and then I thought wait a minute did they abuse

those drugs did they get outside of that

Doctor's prescription. It turns out Chad that

well within the doctor's prescription you could

find yourself a heroin addict or an addict of

opioids if you can't find them moving on to

heroin within ten days. I was naïve to this. So I

looked at an area where we had 67 million

dollars of state county and city resources

service providers coming down here 67 million

dollars we planned to appropriate and spend

and use in the next 20 months in that area. And

I will tell you the fountain head of that chaos

are opioids where people have become drug

addicted and they are there for a market that is

insatiable.

unsaid in what you just told me is that some of

those people that you think are derelicts and

societal misfits that are living under viaducts

the stereotypical type we have had very easily

could have been an a young rising athlete in

high school football team as little as 6 months

ago?

Absolutely. It's the saddest thing and I was so

naïve to this as I decided to stay down there

and learn peoples stories because there is too

anonymity down there where the criminals can

walk amongst and prey upon people that are in

dire circumstances what I learned is that you do

have athletes who have had a surgery and

found themselves addicted you have people

who have come across an appropriate or what

looked like an appropriate prescription from

their physician that has thrown them into this

addiction and when it becomes too hard to get

that prescription drug that is where the heroin

becomes your next option and we were seeing

it, Chad. People from all walks for life that were

frequenting this area. That Rio Grande Street

was a McDonald's drive through of drug

trafficking and it was unabashed. They did not

care if police officers were there. I was in a suit

they did not care it did not slow anyone down.

And when you saw that as well as the

murdering and the violence that was happening

people that needed help there were invisible

barriers where people were afraid to get to that

area. My issue is this as a policy maker. We

have been talking about the bottom of this cliff

where people are devastated and they have

fallen I want to get above this cliff and I want to

talk about the manufacturers of these opioids.

You have 99% of these drugs that are produced

on the planet being sent to the United States

which only consists of about 5% of the world's

population that stat is staggering when you

think about it.

come back we will talk about what some of the

counties are doing and what we would like to

see at least what Speaker Hughes would like to

see and obviously Agent Besser and we will

cover that when we come back on The County

Seat.

Welcome back to The County Seat we are

talking today about the Utah opioid crisis.

Agent Besser I have been corrected, because

my image is the good kid gone bad he ends up

looking like he lives under a viaduct you are not

seeing this.

Yes, it is completely different. The paradigm

has completely changed. You know people

think of drugs they think of the dirty side of

town. What we are seeing is it is not

necessarily the case anymore. It used to be

drugs come in a baggy what about the drugs

that come in a bottle you cannot divorce the

two. We are literally seeing soccer moms,

clergy, business men, and high school kids,

grade school kids getting hooked on opioids,

quietly at home and not talking about it

because they do not want to deal with the

stigma of shame that may come with that

quietly dying at home. Something I have never

seen before. That is how pervasive this is. That

is the difference now we are no longer dealing

with the seedy side of town. We are dealing

with the home.

Commissioner Lee talk to me for a minute

about what Utah County has done as you have

been a headline maker as far as what is

happening with this and I was very surprised

but gratified when I read the headline.

Yes, in looking at this, this is not something that

is behind the scenes as mentioned here. These

are faces that we see we all know them it's in

our neighborhoods it's in our families it's there

all the time and we cannot just duck away from

this. As elected officials we have taken an

sworn oath to protect and defend and that

means to the citizens of our counties as well as

we look at that in a realistic manner we have to

stand up to some of these issues and say here

we are we are going to make a stand on it is not

something we are just going to hide behind and

say maybe some other day. That is a big point.

want to jump to that quickly. They are saying

out there that opioids are safe and effective

that they treat chronic and non-cancer pain.

They also say that the existence of scientific

evidence that opioids are affective for long term

use. It is a narrative that is not correct and as

elected officials and as we are looking at this it

does not just affect the people we have it

within our sheriff's department where we are

looking at the jails we deal with it on a regular

basis. Our Wasatch mental health issues the

drug and alcohol abuse all of the substance that

we are trying to alleviate they are their

constantly. It affects the county on its bottom

line with the budgeting because we have to go

after and deal with these issues. There are in

our emergency rooms we have every day more

than 1000 people treated in the emergency

rooms for misuse of prescription drugs. Not for

the proper use but misuse of prescription drugs.

These need to be addressed we are not

necessarily going out there and saying we want

to have everybody always feel pain all the time

but it's the misuse and then the leading as it

gets into the drug abuses and the drug

overdoses that are a big concern for us and we

have that standing in the county where we are

directly affected by that and we are leading out

and we are saying we need to pursue legal

actions to turn the tide of this or to at least

address it.

So you are saying that basically you are going to

seek a legal remedy and not wait for the

legislative remedy and that legal remedy is

based not only on harm to individuals within

your county but actual harm to the county and

its resources.

Exactly. Harm to the county and its resources,

we have put millions of dollars to fight against

this and to offset it so yes it is a legal action that

would say that the county is at risk here.

I think this is a very noble thing that Utah

County is undertaken but do you think it will be

enough to turn the edge of conversation?

Utah County alone, no way. It has to be a

whole bunch of counties and states and others

that come into play to make it happen.

Chad, here is what is important. You 12 states

who on their own, not collectively or in

coalition of states, but 12 states that have

stepped forward and said we are going to

litigate with big pharma because you are

producing a product that is turning heroin

addicts out of patients within ten days. So

within 30 to 60 days people can within the

prescription they have been prescribed become

addicted. Dangerously or even fatally addicted.

We want to see states and counties we have

four Republican counties in the state of

Tennessee a good Republic red state like

Tennessee you have got over 30 counties some

of the largest counties in the United States who

have to again at the bottom of the cliff try to

help people who have fallen. Trying to help

with behavioral health and trying to keep the

wolves and the heroin dealers away from them

we are going up to the top of this cliff and we

want there to be an enormity of counties and of

states and even cities that go to the big pharma

and litigate until the point where the

manufactures of these drugs the liability is too

great. We have to change practice we have to

change behavior. That is what I am after there

are settlements and dollars to be retrieved to

reimburse Operation Rio Grande all the costs

that counties and the states have incurred but

until we get this multi prong attack until there is

again an enormity of law suits and

accountability brought upon those who are

bringing these drugs into the market I do not

think you will get the change in behavior.

Let me ask you Bill has there been push back

from what Utah County is setting out to do.

There have been some emails that have started

and I am sure there will be push back for it and

litigation is always counted in dollars but in this

case sometimes it's the people that are more

important for us to be looking at not necessarily

the dollars win loss when it comes to dollars

that is not necessarily why I am involved but

that is how we keep score and in this case it is

trying to say enough is enough when it comes

to this and we need to turn that tide and it is

more important for us to get our people in the

safe places and the marketing done

appropriately.

Would the litigation direct a different

prescribing method or at a court level or a

labeling thing what are you hoping for as a

remedy?

Well stop this false marketing for one and turn

it around so we don't have this kind of

marketing going on that allows for these drugs

to be out there and in a sense they are

dangerous it's a dangerous drug and yet they

are sitting on our shelves. They are sitting in

our closets they are there all the time and it's

almost like sitting on the edge of a line at the

freeway where we are saying well we have all

this right here and we can have a camp right

there and not knowing that the cars are going

past 100 miles an hour and we say we are okay

because we are on this side of the line but what

don't know is that our kids and others can cross

that line so quickly that they are gone in

seconds.

Let's drive this home for victims that cannot

speak for themselves. Right now in America

every 25 minutes a baby is born suffering from

opiate withdrawal every 25 minutes one baby

that is one out of every 200 babies born is born

suffering from some type of opioid withdrawal

that is staggering to me because those are little

individuals, little victims that cannot even speak

for themselves.

Okay, I'm overwhelmed we are going to take a

break and finish this conversation on The

County Seat.

Welcome back to The County Seat our

conversation today has been about the opioid

crisis and some of the innovative things that the

state the Speaker of the House DEA and the

counties are doing. Let's focus on what

counties need to do. Utah County you guys

have said regardless of whoever else comes to

the table we are going to take this on in a legal

battle and it's a big project this is not a county

attorney thing. What do counties need to do?

We are going out to an RFP, which is a request

for a proposal and we have already had multiple

law agencies across the United States from New

York, Texas, California all over the place come

to us and say what do you think about this issue

and so we will throw that out there and find the

best one that fits the needs we have and we

feel comfortable with and we will move forward

and move forward with a good team in place.

Chad, here is the key. We need strength in

numbers there needs to be a multiple front war

where we need Utah County and Salt Lake

County has indicated that they are ready to step

forward in this space. We need the counties in

the state of Utah to join over 30 counties across

this country in saying if there was such a thing

as a tobacco lawsuit that you could use a

product and maybe get empyema or lung

cancer in 20 years of using that product what

about the product where you can become a

heroin addict in ten days or 30 days. The risks

to this public the carnage it has created has to

be brought forward and we have to confront

this as a population but those that have created

these drugs and the carnage that they have

created have to be held accountable and that is

what the counties to have legal standing they

can step forward and believe that and I really

believe that that bottom line unfortunately is

what will be the catalyst to change attitudes

and practices with the pharmaceutical

companies.

So if counties want to get into this dog fight do

they contact Utah County or contact your office

Speaker Hughes?

We are at a conference now of Utah counties

and I am here to engage with our county

leaders and Commissioner Lee is doing the

same thing in terms of his example and Utah

County's example we are here to talk about

coming together and I think the discussion we

are going to have here at this conference with

our other county public servants we are going

to band together certainly the largest counties

in Utah but every county. There is not a county

that is immune from the carnage that has

occurred here so that is what we are going to

do and continue to do.

I think that in the State of Utah we have a

pretty strong self-constitution within ourselves

we need to come forward and we have always

been able to address issues even hard issues,

this is one of those hard issues we need the

people to stand up and start speaking out and

saying enough enough with this thing and

telling their story.

Okay, gentlemen that is the charge and thank

you very much. Thank you for joining us and

remember local government is where your life

happens, good and bad the solutions will be

found in us collectively working together and

that is part of the reason we bring you the

county seat every week. Share this on social

notified of things that are happening in real

time see you next week on The County Seat.

I'm getting goosebumps.

Follow me.

(Breath in, breath out) Hmm.

HMMM.

[Dahyun's breathing technique] I'm on the ground.

- Ground? - Yes, the ground.

- Hmm. - Hmm.

[Having no idea at all] I always told you

I only love the fat under your chin.

[No eye contact?] So cute.

[Dahyun's chin fat]

[Staring contest?] You want to start a staring contest?

That's your mission, isn't it?

Ready...

Get set...

Go.

[Teary-eyed] I really can cry.

[Trembling eyebrows]

[Momo closed her eyes with tears] Did you close your eyes?

Camera Man: Dahyun won

[Surprised] - Did you cry? - Yes.

[Momo sometimes cries]

Don't cry.

[Tattling on Dahyun to her roommate] Jeongyeon, Dahyun yelled at me.

- You should look outside. - I am looking!

(skipped their rant because of copyright) [Are you watching, Jeongyeon?] It can make noise

[Pouting]

[Speechless]

[Angry]

[A finishing blow , "You don't even know it?"] Jeongyeon said, "You don't even know it?".

[So it's going to be like this?] This is no joke.

[3 seconds before she turns into silly Jeongyeon] ["You don't even know it?" let Jeongyeon find her true colors]

- Whose is this? - It's mine.

[No!] That's a mission.

[Dahyun's envelope fell into the hands of Jeongyeon]

Say, "Thank you".

Come on!

COME ON!

[But Jeongyeon has two envelopes!] Sana!

[What about me?]

Ah!

AH!

[My mission!] AHH.

AHHHHH!!!

[I'll give it to you if you say, "Thank you"] Say, "Thank you".

[Without hesitation] Thank you, Jeongyeon.

[Sana got her envelope back as soon as she said thank you]

You have to live your life like this!

[Negotiation attempt] You want to negotiate?

Thank you, Jeongyeon.

- What negotiation... - You got a name?

[Negotiation yo~]

Say "Thank you".

Come on. What kind of negotiation would you like to have 165 meters up in the air?

[Nayeon gives it (Sana's mission) back to her]

[Our eldest member] Good girl. Atta girl.

[Yeah, here!] Huh? Over there!

You can't reach.

[The envelope I almost can reach]

[Let's get a souvenir] - You can buy a souvenir. - But I don't have money.

Let's use Dahyun's money

[Frowning]

[Dahyun is in panic] - Let's use up her money here. - Okay...

I want this one!

[Jeongyeon and Dahyun's negotiation begins] - (in Japanese) Thank you. - No.

(in Chinese) Thank you.

[Only "Thank you" in Korean counts] No.

[And and heart]

[What did you do?]

- Jeongyeon's mission is to make a heart. - So cute

[Bang, ONCE!] - Heart? Mission? - Yes.

[Dahyun thinks Jeongyeon's mission is to hear "Thank you"] You made it too easy.

[But Dahyun...] [Here you go] Okay... Thank you.

[This is the sound of Dahyun's joy and anger]

[Heart, Singapore, thank you!]

[What is Jeongyeon's mission that left a lot of traces?]

Thanks for watching! Like and subscribe for more~ Also comment down below if you want me to continue this! :3

Should I Be Calling The Police Right Now?! A Lost in Translation Storytime | Kate's Adventures - Duration: 7:01.

My beloved Zoom recorder and trusty memory card have decided not to work today

so this is going to be a very quick video. I've spent all my time trying to get this to work

instead of actually filming so we shall see what happens.

Yes it's working again! Okay here we go, here we go. Okay this is "Lost in Translation". [3 HAND CLAPS]

I've never been amazing at foreign languages.

I did alright at school, but ask me to speak French and I can barely string a sentence together

I seem to have the least amount of luck in Germany

probably because that's somewhere I've visited quite a few times.

There was the time that I almost went to give blood when I was looking for directions in Berlin

and then there was the time that I was singing in church about scissors instead of the Heavenly Host

so I'm not really the best person to speak to when translating what's happened in a foreign language.

But the thing that terrified me the most when I've been in Germany

happened in the North of Germany one day

as we were in a car listening to the radio whilst going through the countryside.

Now German radio is a mixture of songs that I don't recognize because they're maybe not in English

or they're more European, you know, more local songs

and a mixture of stuff that you'd expect to hear on the radio

like the chart music, the stuff that you hear in the UK and the US and other English speaking countries.

So there'd been a few songs that I didn't recognize because they were in German

and then they started playing some English songs and I was like "Oh cool" you know, I know some of these.

So I'm not somebody who says that they're a music mogul

but I do tend to know some of the older songs and I do know some of the inspirations behind certain songs.

So the first song that they played was "I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats

and that song is inspired by a shooting that happened in California.

The next song came on the radio and it was "Knocking On Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan

which, I don't know if the original influence of the song was a shooting, but certainly in my lifetime

it was used to commemorate the victims of the 1996 Dunblane massacre which happened in Scotland

so I don't know about anybody else but I certainly associate that with gun massacres again.

So there'd been two songs in a row that were about shootings which was quirky

and I think I said to Lilly "That's weird, you know, they've just played two songs about shootings"

and she was like "Hmm, I wouldn't have guessed they were about shootings"

because they're songs that you don't really hear the message of until you actually stop listening to the music

if that makes any sense, I don't think it does. But sometimes you can be listening to a song for years

before you actually realize what the influences were behind it.

Anyways after "Knocking On Heaven's Door" finished,

they started playing "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People, which had been in the charts recently,

but it made my blood run cold when I heard it because "Pumped Up Kicks" sounds like a very cheery song,

but again it's a song about wanting to shoot people. And at that moment I started to panic a little.

I was in the middle of Germany, I didn't know the language. According to Lilly and her family

there wasn't any sort of competition on to figure out the link between these three songs

and the radio DJ had just played three songs about gun massacres in a row

which in the UK would cause me to call the police. And in Germany I had to stop myself

because I thought "Maybe they haven't realised they've played three songs about gun massacres in a row"

maybe it was just a computer system that's managed to randomly pick these songs, I don't know

but it was very much a moment where I thought should I be calling the police?

Can I do that because a radio DJ in the middle of nowhere

has decided to play three songs about gun massacres?

It was one of those moments where I was like "What do I do?", I genuinely didn't know.

We're taught the emergency numbers when I was little, we're taught when it's appropriate to call

but nobody's told you about the more unique situations. Like do you call

when somebody plays three tracks of music that are all about the same theme

and it's a very serious and very concerning theme?

And do you call when somebody's threatened to hurt people in public and you've captured it on your vlog?

V/O - Hi everyone, it's Future Kate here. I've just been editing this vlog

and I've realised that that second scenario I gave you wasn't very well described

and I just wanted to explain the situation a little bit better. What basically happened was I was in an area

where there was a man with a gun who wasn't coping with life very well, he was threatening to hurt people.

When I got there the police were on their way and basically on my vlog I got witness footage

of what had happened and I wasn't sure whether I should have given that to the authorities.

In the end everything was fine, everybody was safe, on with video.

Those are two times where I genuinely thought about calling emergency services and I didn't

and I think I'm maybe going to watch out for situations like this in the future

because those are maybe both situations where I should have called emergency services

and I maybe would have felt very guilty if something had happened.

Anyway that's videos taken rather a dark turn there,

sorry if you thought this was going to be a light-hearted story.

It is a light-hearted story but it has quite a serious message behind it.

Ultimately nothing seemed to happen in Germany that day, as far as I'm aware there were no gun massacres.

We did struggle to get home because there'd been some accidents on the road

but ultimately nothing happened like I was imagining it to happen which is the best thing in the world.

But there we go, have you found yourself in any unusual situations when lost in translation abroad?

I would love to hear about them down below. Or have you heard anything weird on the radio

that made you think twice about the intentions of the person behind the camera?

Not the camera, the microphone in the sense of radio.

Is this sounding familiar to anybody? Do you have any stories that you can share down below?

I would love to hear them and thank you so so much for watching everybody, cheerio!

I live in California and I think it's a sin

that I don't know how to speak Spanish yet.

- My parents are Dominican.

I had a time-period in my life where I didn't wanna

Once I got older I was like no, I need this.

This is my origins, this is my roots.

So I practiced it over and over again and

(speaking foreign language)

"I can't stay here anymore!" Elif Episode 610 | Season 4 Episode 50 (English subtitles) - Duration: 4:20.

What a disgusting smell! It stinks.

You're so drunk, you would go up in flames if I were to light a match

Seriously, Cafer,

...if I were to light a match right now, hold it to your body,

... you'd be gone! How great would that be!

Right? You'd get rid of me, I'd get rid of you.

Instead of bearing the same thing day after day.

Cafer!

Wake up Cafer, wake up.

Sun's come up, wake up!

Shut up woman, leave me alone!

Leave me alone, I'm gonna sleep!

What are you looking at in this secretive way, girl?

Go and make breakfast, go!

Which sin am I being punished for, having to stay with you, huh?

I pray to God to kill me, so this pain has an end!

I regret the day that I believed anything you said!

Woman, in the name of God, please stop talking!

It feels like as if you are eating my brain with all that blabbering!

Leave this room, leave!

If I had any place to go to, I'd be gone by now!

I wish to be gone, I wish, Cafer!

Why didn't you let me sleep, blabbering away all day!

Now I'm awake. Tell me, what do you want?

I want you to return home late like a man does, Cafer!

I want you to find a proper job and work, Cafer!

I want you to quit drinking, Cafer!

Do you want all of it right now?

No, Cafer, no.

I want nothing from you. Nothing!

I'm begging you, don't wake me up with your blabbers every morning!

Would it kill you to wake me up with a smile on your face saying "Good morning Sweety!"

Why, huh?

Did you bring any bread at night...

...to deserve me waking you up with that face you want?

When did you ever do something to make me smile?

My goodness...

I can't deal with this now!

What is that?

What?

What's what?

I'm asking you about this!

-Nothing! -Get off!

What is this?

W- well,

...I've tried it on with one of my dresses.

Guess I just left there!

Girl, are you Cinderella?

Leaving a single shoe at random places, huh!

What is this, girl?

It's brand new!

Uh...

New? No, no no no!

R- remember the house I went to for a cleaning job, the lady there gave it to me!

What is it?

That still has its price tag on it, who are you kidding?

I don't know anything about that tag, Cafer!

How would I know, it's just there!

Look at me!

Are you trying to trick me? That they didn't you give money?

It's brand new, girl, brand new!

Or did you get the money and spent it on shoes?

What do you want me to do, break your skull?

OK, that's enough!

There's no money!

Get over here!

That woman, Vildan gave you money, didn't she

Do you spend it all on clothes and stuff?

Do I take care of that kid, just so you can hide money from me?

Am I the crazy person here?

Cafer, I'm telling you, Vildan didn't give me any money!

There's no money!

Look at me!

If you're lying to me,

...I'll make you eat these shoes! Got it?

Leave me, I didn't take any money!

Look at me, girl!

Tell me right now, where's the money?

I'll kill you,

...then I'll kill that brat,

...I swear I'll kick both of you out of this house

Give me my money!

Give me my money!

Cafer, believe me, there's no money!

I'm telling you, there isn't any!

I- I can't stay there any longer!

How To Bleach, Cut & Fray A Denim Skirt ~ DIY ~ I Makeover A 7 Of Mankind Skirt - Duration: 7:46.

Hello.

Thanks for tuning in.

On today's episode, I am taking this denim skirt and I'm going to bleach it, fray it,

distress it, give it a whole new look.

But first, thank you so much for watching, I appreciate it more than you know.

If you are new to the channel, welcome.

If you like what you see, please subscribe, it's the button somewhere here.

It means everything to me.

It's free.

If you are one of my regular subscribers and viewers, I love you, thank you so much.

You can also follow me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter @thedressupmom #thedressupmom.

I have been on the hunt for a good denim skirt for a long time.

I mean, I know I could go into any fast fashion place and find a frayed, kind of distressed

denim skirt in a minute, but, just I can't do it principally, I can't do it.

Especially because I know there's so much great denim at resale.

So, I've been looking around and it's a little bit harder to find than I thought,

but I finally did.

I was at My Sister's Closet, one of my favorite places and they had actually a great selection,

and I found this wonderful skirt.

It is a 7 for All Mankind skirt and it's really kind of interesting, it doesn't even

look like it was worn at all.

It has these cool buttons on it.

Well, so you can see the buttons here.

And then you can see that it looks nice the way that I'm wearing it and you can see

how it looks right now in the before pictures.

And I could probably do fine with it this way, but I think it's a little bit--oh and

I also want to say, the skirt was basically free because I had a credit at My Sister's

Closet, and I applied my credit there.

I sold some things and I applied a credit, so I also feel like I'm not really risking

a whole lot because I got it for free.

Now, I'm not a DIY person, I'm a little bit afraid of this whole process, but I've

had some luck with other denim and I'm going to give it a try.

I think the skirt is a little bit strange right now, because it's kind of a dressy

skirt because of the wash of it, it's a dressy, dark denim wash, which I normally

like.

But then, it already has some fraying and distressing on it here.

And the cut of it with this little slit, it um, to me, it seems like it should be more

of a casual skirt than this wash.

So, I do think that bleaching it and lightening it up is going to make it a bit more causal

looking, which is what I want for my skirt.

And then, I also think it's like of weird how the bottom of it aren't frayed.

Like these other pieces are frayed and it's long enough for me so, I want to fray the

bottom of it as well, to just kind of distress it a little bit, have it be a little bit more

casual.

Because here in Southern California, I love wearing denim skirts sort of year-round with

everything.

So, that's what I'm going to attempt to do today with this skirt.

Here are the supplies we are going to be using.

A good pair of scissors, a seam ripper, some gloves and some bleach.

The bleach I got with a little bit of a scent in it, so that the jeans don't get too stinky.

So here, I'm just going to take the bottom, that nice hem of this skirt and I'm going

to cut it, so I don't have to measure or anything.

It's going to be easy to cut and it'll be straight because I'm just going to take

the whole hem of it off.

I would recommend a pair of very sharp scissors, good fabric scissors for this.

[Music playing]

Good, game out nice and straight which is what I wanted.

So, next I have my trusty seam ripper and I'm going just going to take the seam ripper

and take it across the edges here to fray the bottom of the skirt.

[Music playing]

There you go.

I can already tell that I think this is going to look better and make it look like the rest

of the skirt.

Don't worry if when you're doing it at this point, the fraying if it's not quite

as frayed as you want it to be.

What happens is at the end we're going to take after the bleaching we're going to

wash and dry the skirt and then it will be a lot more frayed.

So, don't worry if it's not quite there.

Make sure you get it all round, it will fray some more before we're done.

Okay, I think we're ready to try the bleaching now.

I like to bleach in a tub, so that I can lay the garments flat down, not in a bucket where

they get all squished up.

So, I like to do it, start on one side, but the timer on and then I'm going to turn

it to the other side and keep checking how it looks.

So, I've filled up the tub here with hot water and I put like almost half of that jug

of Clorox bleach in here, so that I'm using a lot of bleach.

And now, I'm just going to lay this skirt in here and give it a really soak.

I've also noticed that the weight of the denim matters a lot on how long it takes for

it to lighten up.

So, this is a pretty heavy denim and I think it's going to take a while for this to lighten

up.

Hours.

So, we're just going to like put it in here, give it a good soak with my gloves and I'm

just going to now let that set for about an hour, come back and look at it, turn it around

and just keep doing that until I get the color that I really want.

[Music playing]

Okay, I think this looks good now, I don't want it to get too light.

So, now I'm going to take this and put it in a big plastic bag, take it over to my washer

and dryer, wash it and dry it, and then show it to you.

I'm going to use this Denim Wash from The Laundress to wash it.

[Music playing]

So, I'm really happy with how this skirt turned out.

This is exactly the look I was going for.

I think that now it makes sense with the distressing on the bottom, this distressing came out even

more pronounced and I think the color does fit it now more, so that it is a casual, but

fun different skirt.

The buttons still turned out really nice, so, I'm happy with this and I, like I said,

I bought, I got the skirt for free basically.

So, I would recommend experimenting with resale or denim that, you know, you don't really

care too much about, because you never know exactly how it's going to turn out.

But, this to me is a lot of fun, I'm going to wear it a lot more than I would have the

other way.

So, I'm happy.

Yay!

Again, I'm not a DIY person, so if I can do this, it's super easy, anybody can do

it.

Please let me know in the comments below if you've tried this before, what kind of luck

you've had, if this inspires you to do it.

It was fun for me.

So, thank you so much for watching, I really appreciate it.

Until next time, have fun and dress it up a little.

THE BEST 360 LACE WIG | FT OSOLOVELY HAIR - Duration: 4:54.

Hi Queens welcome back to the channel I'm Sheena I go by Queen she today

I'm sharing this gorgeous unit from OSOlovely hair with y'all. This is a 360

degree

Lace unit the density is 150. This is a natural color

Body way of texture and she's 20 inches long

The cap is constructed as you would expect there are four combs

One on each side one at the crown, and one at the base as well as adjustable straps

The lace is very very soft in the hair of course is very soft it is human hair

Now I

decided to try it on with the with the lace on first to show y'all my first reaction and

I'm

Feeling my self if y'all follow me on snapchat

You know I was especially felling myself like this unit is the bomb

the

parting space

Which of course you can part wherever you like is very natural the hairline seems to be

slightly pre plucked however

It definitely needs some more plucking other than that though other than the density. It's so

freakin natural like

seriously, I'm obsessed I decided to take my wig cap off and just leave my natural hair under the unit and

The one thing I will say about this unit is she's

definitely definitely definitely

big head friendly and

I'm going to sew in an elastic band in December and come back with an updated video for y'all because my only

Beef with the unit is the fact that the lease would not lie down flat

And that's because she needs some kind of elastic band or something there to

Make more attention

I

played with this unit a lot and

Experienced the typical amount of shedding that you would experience after cutting waste anyway probably less than what you would expect

the

hair quality is

Spot-on like I'm so obsessed. I really have no beefs with this unit so far

Filling myself. I'm gonna throw an elastic band and solve the waste lifting problem

and I'll probably apply her with some got to be cool using that got to be glued method and

come back with

an updated

Review for y'all, but that won't be until December

I will say that if you're leaning toward getting her go ahead and get her now because they are having a Black Friday

Sale the links to all of their information as well as the purchase

Link will be down below in the description box you guys will not be dissatisfied

with this unit I'm telling you just be prepared to put in an elastic band to do whatever you have to do to get the

Lace to lie down flat

Let me know what y'all think down below. Please like comment subscribe if you're not already part of the queendom

Twirl, Wisap, & Starbar // TheCandyGuy - Duration: 5:15.

Welcome back to my channel TheCandyGuy where i talk about treats for the sweet

tooth today I'm going to talk about Wispa and Twirl

I'm also gonna try the Starbar. You're getting a lot of candy bars I have a lot

left from when Darkside sent me a bunch of Cadbury chocolates instead of string

it out to a bunch of different videos which I probably should uh I'm just gonna

have them all right now Wispa was introduced in 1983 and in

the late 90s it kind of vanished so online campaigns petitioned to bring back

the Wispa and it went in out of production in the early 2000s finally in

2008 it came back and it's here to stay Wispa is just aerated chocolate it

says on the wrapper so it's pretty much like the Aero bar from Canada let's

test it out cuz I just had an Aero bar like not too long to go so I still

remember how much I enjoyed okay I'm not gonna compare how different the

chocolate is from the Aero bar to the Cadbury. The Cadbury milk chocolate is

very unique so it has this good flavor and it is really good but let me tell

you about the aerated part with the bubbles ,or yeah? The Aero bar is a lot

lighter and kind of crumbles better with its aerated milk chocolate center. Don't

get me wrong though the Wispa is still pretty good just letting you know the

slight differences. Twirl was first launched in Ireland in 1985 then in 1987

is when it went national for the whole UK they kind of wanted to test it out I

guess see how it did. It actually uses the same technology or manufacturing as

the Flake bar so this is probably going to be messy. So you get two separate bars for the Twirl bar and you can

already see inside one of them it is I guess two Flake bars, really thin, twirled

together to make the one individual little piece that's what I'm guessing

but yeah you can already see the little flakesinside right there

the Twirl bar you bite into the little piece, it does kind of crumble the

center piece inside and it has a really good milk chocolate I don't know I think

I'm getting more milk chocolate from the Twirl bar than I did with the Whispa

but if I recall I didn't really care for the Flake bar it was just too messy and

there was too much space in between the milk chocolate. I just wanted milk

chocolate. This one I guess is more compact so I think I like the Twirl bar way

better than the Flake bar. Okay I shouldn't just bit into the Starbar instead

of try to break it apart so it's caramel and peanuts covered in milk

chocolate and the peanuts are there's chunks of like regular whole peanuts but

I guess there's also like kind of like crushed up mashed together peanuts to

make like a chunkier peanut butter I don't know. Let's try it out. Okay I was

expecting the Starbar to kind of be like a Snickers bar, peanuts, caramel, just

minus the Nugget. It was a lot different, the caramel is really chewy

seriously the one bite I took. Took forever to eat that caramel just did not

want to dissolve. The caramel didn't really have too much flavor

I really couldn't taste the caramel. I can mainly taste the chunky peanut,

peanut butter mixture that made up the the center. It wasn't whole peanuts

there was like chunks you could see but it was kind of a chunkier peanut butter

which is really good because I like peanut butter so, but the peanut butter

was also really crunchy and chewy and added to the caramel chewiness and

the milk chocolate was really good you could get a good milk chocolate flavor

it wasn't along the, It wasnt a stronger Cadbury milk chocolate that I've gotten

out in the other bars but it was still good. Mainly you taste peanut butter out

of the the candy bar but you're chewing FOREVER on that caramel. There's one more

candy bar that's in there and it's the Dairy Milk with caramel so let's try the Dairy Milk

Okay so the Dairy Milk you can

really taste the vanilla caramel in that one.

It was a really strong caramel very

smooth, creamy flavor, and the milk chocolate, the Dairy Milk chocolate is

so good I love Dairy Milk chocolate from Cadbury

so delicious but you know how I feel about caramel so I'd rather prefer the

milk chocolate by itself without the caramel. So that's it there's no more

candy bars left. I hope you enjoyed all the videos I was able to make and

learn about the different Cadbury chocolates

Thank you again Darkside for sending all that candy Thank you for watching this

week's video of TheCandyGuy. Links for the Penny Candy Store and myself will be

in the description of this video. I post videos every Friday so I shall see you

all next Friday. Have a sweet day. Bye! Please remember to Like, Comment, and

T.G.I. FRIDAY (8) - COMO DIRECIONAR SEU FOCO PARA ATINGIR O QUE QUER? - Duration: 1:39.

Hey guys! How are you?

Today, Friday, at the end of the day, I came for a walk on the beach,

with a beautiful view,

and which reminds us on

our dreams and expectations.

When I was walking it came to my mind

- and here I am sharing with you -

Are you on a path towards your goals in life?

Are you on a path towards whom you desire to become in life?

It is important that you have

presence of mind,

be in the moment,

and it is crucial that you do not allow daily live's distractions

take you away from your original pathway.

Imagine that you are here walking on this sand beach

and that your main goal is to reach the ocean waters...

Think in your goals this way,

as you have a determined pathway to follow,

Of course you must consider the ups and downs, all natural of everyone's lives,

as well as the inherent life's obstacles and challenges,

but my question here is how will you keep yourself focused

in the moment, with a firm goal

in front of you?

Mindfulness techniques, which I have shared in many videos here in this channel,

may be one great solution to lower

your anxiety levels, your stress levels, keeping

you fully attentive, focused

in the now!

And of course,

allowing you to direct your energy

and all of your effort to achieve your goal,

your own goal! Does that make sense?

A big kiss to you and until next week!

CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES (Thanksday) - Duration: 4:58.

Hey you!

My name is Thomas 'TomSka' Ridgewell and welcome back to Thanksday.

The series where I introduce you to the bitchin bunch behind the scenes The people you can thank or blame for

the continuation of my channels.

Today, I'd like to introduce you to the editors the masochists who sift through hours of raw footage

to produce something vaguely, just slightly watchable

Now naturally, when I was starting out I edited my videos myself

We would film onto mini-DV tapes, log and transfer them into whatever editing

software came with my computer, and hack up the footage myself.

Big up to Steve, my media studies teacher, for schooling me in the ways of Final Cut 7.

I never bothered to learn anything else and I probably never will.

I didn't give up editorial control over my videos for a long time partly because when

you have a specific vision in your head, it feels like only you can make that a reality.

If you're gonna put creative decisions in someone else's hands, you need them to share that vision.

Editors control the pacing of a scene which is a huge part of comedy and usually have

the first say in which takes make it into the timeline which can completely change the

tone of a piece.

Basically It's all about trust.

However, the real reason I stopped editing my own videos wasn't just because I found

someone I trusted or because I got lazy.

It was because my heart broke.

The last video in my 5 year self-editing streak was Musical Suicide which came out January 2012

Because in March 2012 I lost someone very special and after that I just…

Didn't care anymore.

I lost the drive and self-confidence needed to put together a video and say "yes, this

is good, people will want to watch this".

Hell, I couldn't even edit the eulogy video for the funeral and had to ask my girlfriend

at the time to do it for me.

But luckily I had made a friend at university who was a fellow YouTuber with a great sense

of comedic timing and plenty of self-confidence.

His name was Jack Howard.

He was also crashing on my couch so often that whenever I filmed a new sketch he was there to edit it.

Before long, Jack and I sealed the deal and moved in together.

He edited pretty much every video of mine for 2 years, directed and co-directed a bunch

of sketches, and even shot and edited a few vlogs.

However, as time went on and careers progressed, Jack got busier (and more expensive) and it

came time to part ways as creative collaborators.

We ended on one hell of a video though.

During my partnership with Jack and especially towards the end of our time together I played

the field with a few other friends in the hopes of finding that same spark.

Chloe Dungate, Jamie Spicer-Lewis, Ciaran O'Brien, Sammy Paul, Daniel J Layton, Tim Hautekiet,

and even myself sometimes.

Damn, I'm slutty.

It wasn't until another University of Lincoln student began crashing on my couch that I

found my new boo.

In early 2014, a babyfaced Elliot Gough had come down to London for an interview and while

he was at my placed asked if I needed anything done.

I told him I needed a new channel background and within a few hours he'd made one.

The next day I gave him some raw footage and by the time I got home he'd edited Stupid

Soldiers almost to completion.

But then he went back to Lincoln…

But then he moved to London!

He shot and edited a series of behind-the-scenes game development vlogs for me and I offered

him a full time job shortly after.

We moved into this very office and TurboPunch Ltd came to life. YAY!

Since then Elliot has edited every single sketch; compiled every cartoon; shot and edited

almost every vlog; and even done a fair bit of graphic, web, and sound design.

And I've never cheated on him once.

*screaming and crying*

Elliot, no!

If I had to pick out one criticism for my time with Elliot, it would be that he's

just too handsome and great at editing and has a fantastic attitude also big pee ness.

Is that good?

Oh, I also need to give a quick shoutout to the colourists for my sketches and vlogs.

Raw footage can look very flat and grey and ugly and it needs an experts touch to really make it pop.

That'd be Ciaran O'Brien for most of my sketches from 2012 to 2017, Max Brill for

a bunch of my 2017 sketches, Sven Brooks for my BBC comedy sketches, and Elliot Gough for

all my direct-to-camera vlogs like this one. Woooow! Editing!

I remember when I used to grade my own sketches and...

Everything was so orange and blue at the same time!

So!

I owe a huge thank you to all the people I just mentioned.

Without them, I don't know if I'd have been able to keep doing this.

Truth be told I still struggle to find any confidence in my work until the video is completely finished.

If it were still up to me, I'd look at the raw footage, sigh heavily, and scrap every

video before it even reached the timeline so…

Thank you all so much.

TomSka out.

or 10,000 pounds it had a 7-foot long neck and walked on all four legs was

three car lengths long weighed as much as two white rhinoceroses lived a

hundred years could run 31 miles an hour and he was also an herbivore very

awesome looking dinosaur

the mighty Smilodon the cat's name means Sabretooth it was smaller than a modern

lion and liked to ambush prey from tree branches it was a carnivore it was

referred as a saber-tooth and tiger but it was not a tiger it's a distant

relative of lions and cheetahs wow this guy was awesome

it was about 5 feet long 3 feet high and weighed about 440 pounds

the bloody Ceratosaurus its name means horned lizard this was a carnivore that

lived during the Jurassic period they were about 6 meters her 20 feet in
