Youtube daily report w Nov 11 2017

Hello. I'm Gill from engVid, back to give you another lesson on an aspect of English,

and today we're looking at the indefinite article, which is "a" and "an", and when to

use each one. So: "a", "an", indefinite article. So, there's one main rule to this that you

use "a" before a consonant sound and "an" before a vowel sound. But as you'll see, sometimes

there are some little exceptions where you just have to bear something in mind to do

with how the word is pronounced, rather than how it's spelt. You'll see that as we go through.

So, just to look at the list here, the letter "a", some people will say: "a" which is okay

if you're emphasizing it, but normally we just pronounce it "uh". So: "uh bag", "uh

coat", you don't say: "a bag", "a coat". It doesn't sound very, you know, normal. So:

"a bag", "a coat", "a dress". And then here's the first exception to the rule, this word

is spelt with an "E", it begins with an "E", which you might think: "Well, that's one of

the vowels: a, e, i, o u. Why is a vowel here for 'E'?" And the answer is that when you

pronounce this word you're making a "y" sound, so it's not "e", "e", "European", it's: "Yuropean",

so: "a European", and that's why there are sometimes

these exceptions, so that is one of them.

Okay. So, then, continuing: "a fridge", "a giraffe", "a kitchen", "a map", "a sound".

And again, letter "u" is a vowel, but the pronunciation is this "y" sound again, so:

"a university". Okay, so it's important to know how the word sounds before you know whether

to write "a" or "an". Okay? So I hope that's clear.

So let's move on to the other column. This one, "an" comes before a vowel sound. And,

again, we pronounce it... This is: "a", this is "un", "un". We don't say: "an". People

do, again, for emphasis, but: "un", because this is a very small, little word, it's not

one of the most important words in a sentence, we don't usually emphasize it. So: "an artist",

"an exhibition", "an insult". If you're not sure what "insult" is, if someone says something

bad about you, they've... That's an insult. If you... If you hear them as well, you say:

"That's an insult. How can you insult me like that?" So, that's an insult, an insult.

"An offer", make me an offer. "An upset", again, if you're not sure of the word "upset",

if you hear somebody insulting you, you will become upset and it becomes an upset. That

was an upset when I heard that insult. So: "an upset". Okay? And then, finally, one other

exception, here's one beginning with "h", but it's one of the small number of words

beginning with "h" where you don't pronounce the "h", so it's pronounced: "onour", so it's

as if it began with an "o", so: "an honour". We don't say: "h-onour", it's: "onour", so:

"an honour". So, that's another little exception. Okay, so I hope that's clear. And we'll now

move on to a second board, where I'll give you a little test where you can choose which

of these two to put in the gaps. Okay.

Okay, so now we have a test, and it's for you to decide whether to put "a" or "an" in

each gap. Okay, so let's go.

"Do you have _____ pen?" Which would you put there? "Do you have a

pen?" Okay? Because "p" is a consonant, "pen". "A pen", okay.

"I'm looking for _____ cup." What would you put there? So: "I'm looking

for a cup", because "c" is another consonant. Okay?

Next one: "Shall we boil _____ egg? Shall we boil _____

egg?" So "e", is that a consonant or is it a vowel?

So, it's a vowel, isn't it? So it's: "Shall we boil an egg?" Okay. Right.

Next one: "How much is _____ Euro worth?"

"Worth" meaning: What is the value of...? Maybe compared to dollars or pounds. So: "How

much is _____ Euro worth?" Euro, it's an "E", but remember it's also about how it sounds.

So, when you say: "Yuro", you're making a "y" sound, like that: "ya". So, it's not "an"

in this case, it's "a". "How much is a Euro worth?" Okay. Right.

So, next one. This is an ominous thing that sometimes people say:

"We need to have _____ talk." And you think: "Oh my goodness, what is this

going to be about?" Anyway. "We need to have a talk." Okay? Because "t" is another consonant.

"A talk". Right.

Next one. You see a tree with apples growing, and you feel like eating one, so you say:

"I'm going to pick _____ apple." So, which one would you put there? "I'm going

to pick an apple." Because "a" is a vowel sound, okay.

Next one: "They used to have _____ dog."

Maybe a family next door to you, and you think: "What...? What's happened to their dog? They

used to have _____ dog. They used to have a dog", because "d" is another consonant.

Okay. Right.

Next one: "It's not really _____ problem." Which would you put there? "It's not really

a problem" because "p" is another consonant. Okay.

Next one: "I don't think that's _____ option. I don't

think that's _____ option." What would you put? "I don't think that's

an option." Okay? Because "o" is a vowel sound.

And then finally, kings always need somebody to follow them. So:

"The king needs _____ heir." And this word, if you don't know it, is pronounced:

"eir". It has an "h" at the beginning, but the "h" is not sounded, so: "The king needs

_____ heir." So that's really a vowel sound, isn't it? So: "The king needs an heir." Okay.

So, there we are. I hope... I'm sure you got all of those right. So, I hope that was useful.

NFL In Full Panic Over Incredible Revenge Veterans Have Planned For Veteran's Day Game Sunday. - Duration: 4:47.

NFL In Full Panic Over Incredible Revenge Veterans Have Planned For Veteran's Day

Game Sunday.

A massive Facebook group with hundreds of thousands of followers and likes has now called

for a nationwide boycott of the National Football League on Veterans Day Weekend.

The site urges fans around the country to change the channel "in solidarity" with

Americans who respect the national anthem, our flag, and those who served to protect

our rights and freedoms.

The official statement from the site urges people not to watch or listen to NFL games

on November 12 in solidarity with veterans around the country, as football players have

continued to disrespect the national anthem, the American flag, and everything our nation

stands for.

And lastly, it adds that until millionaire football players stop protesting the National

Anthem of the United States the site will be there encouraging patriotic Americans to

boycott the National Football League.

This comes after months of NFL players publicly protesting the performance of the Star-Spangled

Banner during pre-game ceremonies which has caused millions of fed up fans to change the

channel, stop buying NFL merchandise and boycotting their sponsors.

Nation's Restaurant News Reports:

Papa John's sales sacked by NFL ratings plunge

Published reports list the pizza chain among NFL sponsors complaining to the league about

viewership decline NFL ratings are down this season.

That's bad news for the league's sponsors — including Papa John's International

Inc.

These companies are apparently not taking the slide sitting down.

The Louisville-based pizza delivery chain was among a number of NFL sponsors to complain

to the league about the state of viewership, according to the New York Business Journal.

According to the publication, Papa John's told the league that pizza sales during NFL

games have fallen since Sept. 22.

That's when President Donald Trump criticized players kneeling during the national anthem

as a form of protest.

Likewise, ESPN reported today that "nearly all of the league's longtime sponsors,"

including Papa John's, were "rattled."

The company did not respond to a request for comment.

But news that NFL ratings would hurt Papa John's would hardly be surprising.

Indeed, NFL ratings have fallen 5.1 percent through the first seven weeks of the season,

according to Sporting News.

Ratings fell last year, too.

For whatever reason, be it protests or Netflix or too many games, viewers are tuning football

out.

Same-store sales at Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. have seemingly taken a corresponding hit.

The Minneapolis-based chicken wing chain has long advertised to sports fans, football in

particular — to the point that chicken wing prices increase every year during football

season.

Its same-store sales in the quarter ended Sept. 24 declined 2.3 percent at company locations

and 3.2 percent at franchised outlets.

Papa John's same-store sales increased 3.8 percent in the fourth quarter a year ago,

when the company said television ratings for football games declined 8 percent.

But executives said at the time that they felt that ratings decline.

"Given the fact that we have a significant investment into the NFL, an 8 percent rating

does play a small factor in some of our performance," company President Steve Ritchie said in February.

So many elements are potentially playing a role in weak industry sales it's difficult

to keep track of all of them.

But the NFL problem is specific to the few chains that have chosen to use football as

part of their marketing strategy.

Some analysts, including Instinet Analyst Mark Kalinowski and BTIG Analyst Peter Saleh,

have already reduced their sales targets for Papa John's as a result of the ratings weakness.

As it is, both Papa John's and Buffalo Wild Wings in recent years have expanded their

marketing efforts to other sports.

Papa John's, for instance, has a deal with Major League Baseball.

Buffalo Wild Wings is going even further, expanding into brand new sports.

The company has been a pioneering sponsor of esports, or professional gaming.

Earlier this month, the company announced the first partnership with an esports team,

Team Dignitas.

We all know most football players are illiterates who really don't seem to be able to understand

the negative repercussions their actions will have, but the owners should know better.

And because they know better they should say to the players, "You don't stand for the

anthem, you don't play!"

Simple.

And since most of these players only care about their pocketbooks and their egos they

will do what they are told to do.

what do you think about this?

Loni Love Watches the Scale - Duration: 2:36.

An Oscar winning actor Kate Winslet, during an interview on the Tonight Show,

with Jimmy Fallon, revealed that she has no idea how much she weighs right now.

Because she hasn't stepped on the scale in 12 years.

>> Wow.

>> The topic came up after Winslet described a scene in her latest film,

The Mountain Between US, starring Lonnie's heartthrob, boyfriend, and

now really close friend, Idris Elba.

[APPLAUSE] >> My boo boo, that's my boo boo!

>> So, he struggled having to drag her from a stream.

So it dawned on her, I never really weighed myself for 12 years.

So I just wanna ask for all the women and

men out there who are scale watchers, if they are or not, could you care less?

Do you watch the scale?

Do men even care about that?

What do you guys think?

Why are you looking like that?

>> I wanna know what he has to say.

>> I don't look at the scale, I look in the mirror.

>> Okay.

>> If I see my appearance ain't right, then I gotta get to the gym, or

cut back on the Twinkies.

>> How can you see those?

Sometimes, you just- >> When you don't have a jaw line, J.

When you don't have a jaw line.

>> [LAUGH] >> What are the signs for a dude,

a jaw line and what else?

>> Your belly.

>> [LAUGH] >> [LAUGH]

>> Okay.

>> Yeah. >> A man belly.

>> [LAUGH] >> I used to not weigh myself, and

then I've lost some weight.

>> Yes, you did. >> [APPLAUSE]

>> Yes, you look great.

>> And I started weighing myself.

Thank you.

I've got a long way to go, and

I'm gonna tell you, I was like her, I was like, I don't wanna get on the scale.

>> Yeah.

>> But getting on the scale for me is actually motivating because you start

to learn your body, and you start to see what you can eat and what you can't eat.

Maybe if you drink, you see the difference.

Like if you go out on a night and you drink, and

then you weigh yourself in the morning, you added on two, three pounds.

>> Yeah. >> Mm-hm.

>> So for me, I think it's important, especially if you really are trying to

lose weight to stay on the scale and make that part of your weight loss plan.

>> Yes. >> It's very, very important,

I know it's helped me.

>> Yeah. >> And I think as you get older too,

I think it's important to pay attention to your weight cuz you don't see a lot of fat

old people.

>> Yes, it's not about what you weigh,

it's how healthy you are, because your body is like your house.

>> [APPLAUSE] >> You really are.

I live here!

I live here and

now that I have gotten to this age, I got to keep this like my house.

I don't want my house dirty, meaning I don't eat a bunch of crap that makes it

feel all dirty and yucky, I keep the negativity outside and I want to keep my

house in a place that when I look at it, it constantly inspires me.

>> Yes, see I ain't there yet

GRWM : Full face Colourpop ft. leeyishanz 👭 - Duration: 9:59.

Do we need an intro? No right

For Colourpop, this is the no filter concealer

So, I will use a Beauty blender

I will use their stippling brush instead

And then we start blending

I have already wore CC cream

I'm using the Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder

Because Colourpop didn't release any setting powder yet, so i'm just going to use this to set my face

Yup, so I'm going to use the RCMA No Colour Powder

This brush, it has no name

Hmm, I think now they have released it with the number already

This is the big fluffy brush

The biggest brush inside your bundle set

It's the powder brush

I'm just gonna set

I'm now using the Colourpop Brow Boss in dark brown to lightly define my eyebrows

For brows I'm gonna use Dope taupe

If you like a more define sculpted brow you should go for that pencil

And if you like a natural look, for filling up the brows, you should go for this instead

And it is retractable

And now, I will proceed on with my eyes

I will go in with the concealer again to conceal my brows

I'm using the Yes Please palette with Full-Zip I believe to act as a base

We're doing a how to go to school look, a get ready with me, as in everyday or a go to school look

We can do like a fall theme

Fall theme, I cannot

Do it!

So, I'm using the My little pony palette

I'm using Wake Up Call as my transition shade, it's very pretty

For the My Little Pony Palette, I'm gonna use Bluebell as my base

So next up, I'm gonna use my favourite shade here Flutterbye for my crease

So, I'm gonna start slow, in the crease

I actually enjoy their single pan shadow

Because it is customisable in a magnetic palette, its is my second one

So i like to customise them, and put together what i like to use for the week or the season

or any point in time

It's travel friendly i would say

I will plan to travel with this

And their press powders are very versatile, so you can use them at any point of time

I plan to use Noodle, it's a very pretty baby pink blush, on my eyes today

Using the same blending brush that I've used just now

I'm gonna go in with Skydancer

It's a slightly more shocking pink purplish compared to Flutterbye

I'm gonna use this blending brush, but it is more tapered

Go in with the same shade, and define the crease

Now I'm using labyrinth on the outer corners of my eye

I forgot my setting spray, I need to like pack on the shadow

Okay, go get it, Oh i actually have a Mac Fix Plus

But, we do actually have the Rose Quartz setting spray or is it a primer

Oh yes

It's a primer

But I don't really like the formula

I mean it's good and it last the whole day

Actually if you use matte foundation

Yah, it works but i breaks me out

This is the Colourpop primer, it's the Rose Quartz crystal priming spray

It's for dry skin

I feel that it works really well

with the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation

Im gonna go in with my setting spray

I'm gonna use the same brush that I used previously with the same shade

I used to set my base down to blend all the harsh lines away

I'm gonna go in with minty

Now I'm gonna use small gift, I don't think it's still in production anymore

From the Hello Kitty collection, it is a gift from a friend so I started using

This recently and it is quite nice, so i'm using my fingers to apply

Of course you can always use a small shader brush but both ways works for me

Just going to apply it on the centre of my lid and blend it inwards

I'm going to use this shade call Bubbly, it's quite glittery as a topper

I will just take a clean brush and blend out the edges

For the brow bones I'm gonna use Butterscotch

I'm going to take the crease shade which is the Wake me up

on the bottom of my lash line

For the inner corner of my eyes I'm gonna use Firefly

It's like an icy blue

I shall mix in a little of minty in the inner corner of my eyes

For the lower lash line

Oh no, dumb

I'm gonna use a pencil brush for the lower lash line

I'm gonna use

(mumbling)

I should use Skydancer on the outer dragging it in to the inner corner

then, I shall drag it down more

then I will use minty to go really tightly to the water line

So it will give off the ombre effect

Are you doing eyeliner

Actually I'm not exactly using eyeliner

I like to use eyeshadow as my eyeliner, because it gives me a softer look

For mascara and falsies, we are gonna skip the tape and be right back!

For bronzer, what shade are you going to use

Ask the right professional to avoid making expensive mistakes ... - Duration: 4:41.

- Hey, good morning, it's Amelia here

and I wanted to jump in and share a bit of advice with you

about something that I've been seeing a lot of lately.

Now, when you're thinking about building or renovating

your home, more often what I see a lot of homeowners do

is they'll start by getting a builder around

and it makes sense.

You'll go to the person that you think

is going to potentially be the person delivering your project

and so, you'll start asking them for advice

about costs and what's possible

and what their experience is

and start to get an understanding about

and what happens in that conversation

is often then the builder will give advice

about town planning, about design,

about budget, about those types of things

and unfortunately what I've seen a lot of people do then

is they just move forward acting on that advice

without checking it with the various other professionals

that they may need to bring on board

or that may need to be involved in their project

and then what goes even more wrong

is that they'll then start that process with the builder,

perhaps the builder's got their own design team

or they outsource to a preferred designer

or something that,

they'll move through the process

and then it'll come to the point of construction

to get their final approvals and they'll find

that the advice that they've been acting on

is not accurate or something's changed

or they're not able to do it as simply

as they thought they were going to.

Now, for me, this is not criticising builders at all.

There are some great builders who do this

and do this really well

but the challenging thing is that oftentimes

unless the builder has built in your area a lot

and dealt with your local council a lot,

then they can't necessarily always be across changes

in laws, changes in rules like a town planner

for example might be.

I've seen scenarios where a town planner

has had a direct conversation with council,

they've found out specific information,

a builder has then given direct advice

to the homeowner which has been contrary to this

and the town planner's been the one that's been right

but it's not been until they've started,

like about being ready to turn dirt

that it's all come to light

and then all of a sudden the homeowner

has got to experience massive delays

whilst they actually get approval

for something they didn't think they needed to.

There's been issues with builders saying

that it would be very straightforward

for them to get approvals to build

over storm water easements, all those types of things

but they haven't understood the specific nuances

of the council of that property

and that it might have different rules and regulations.

I've even had a homeowner contact me before

because they worked with a builder

who told them they could build a single story

on this property

and they'd paid a whole heap of contract deposits

and all of those types of things,

they were about to start construction on site

and they were just getting

the final construction certificates

and they found out that town planning laws

had changed recently.

It had been recent enough that the builder

should have known

and that they were no longer allowed to build

a single story house,

they had to build a double story house.

There was a tree in their backyard

that had a non-build zone around it,

couldn't be demolished, all sorts of things

and so, they actually had invested

tens of thousands of dollars getting to that point

and they literally had to scrap plans and start again.

So, if you're meeting with a builder

about building or renovating your home

and they give you planning advice

and they give you design advice,

just do yourself a favour and double check it.

Just double check it with your local council,

with a town planning professional,

with a design professional.

Treat these early parts of your project

as an information gathering process

because the more informed you are,

the better a client you'll be

and the better able you'll be to guide your process

and know that the information that you're getting

is trustworthy and that it is information

that you can act on

because the worst thing that can happen

is you can just blindly follow people's advice,

not double check it

and get to the point of actually starting construction

and usually you've invested months of time,

significant amounts of money and effort

and you get to the point of turning dirt on site,

oftentimes then you've moved out,

you've rented somewhere else, all those types of things

and then hit a problem with your approvals

because back tracking from that

can be very time consuming and expensive.

Hope you have a great week

and if you've got any questions about this post,

just pop them in the comments below,

I'll be happy to jump in and respond.

Alright, see ya, bye.

McCain Just Issues SICK Anti-American Order To Commissioned Officers About What They Must To Do - Duration: 5:37.

America's most infamous traitor, John McCain, has been obsessed to take out Trump from the

day our new president was sworn into office.

We learned recently that McCain was behind the fake Russian dossier against Trump, and

has been feeding leaks to the liberal media, where the icing on the cake came several weeks

ago when McCain officially killed the Obamacare repeal, becoming the left's instant hero.

But amazingly, the two-time failed presidential candidate still isn't done putting the screws

to America.

The brain-rotting crustacean gave the commencement speech for the U.S. Naval academy this week,

where he decided to throw not only our President under the bus, but our entire country as well.

And the order McCain gave to these newly commissioned officers will leave you in complete disbelief.

It doesn't come as much of a surprise that given the golden opportunity to publicly bash

Trump, that McCain would jump at the chance.

What IS surprising however, is that John McCain, who fancies himself as a "war hero," would

tell these newly commissioned officers to NOT put America first.

McCain began his speech by predictably taking a swipe at Trump and his entire administration.

But later in the speech is when McCain proved to the world just how many brain cells he's

apparently lost with his recent brain cancer diagnosis, where he made the asinine demand

that these newly commissioned officers should NOT put America first, and should try to blend

with other countries such as Europe.

McCain said that as a "statesman," that he had concluded that "the American example

and American leadership are indispensable to securing a peaceful and prosperous future,

and that "there could be no more isolationism, no more tired resignation — no more 'America

First.'"

Putting America first is the very reason that young men and women decide to sign up for

the military in the first place, but apparently the message of patriotism and love for country

are attributives that John McCain has lost along the way, as he's stepped on literally

everyone in his path over the years to ensure that his own selfish personal political agendas

were fulfilled.

Perhaps McCain's callous attitude towards our country and his sentiments of "no more

America first" first came to fruition back on July 31 1967 when he killed 134 of his

fellow sailors while aboard the USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier.

According to eye witnesses that day, whose accounts were predictably buried by the Navy

due to John McCain's familial ties to two 4-star admirals, McCain decided to be a show

off, by doing a "wet start" of his jet.

This reckless maneuver makes fuel build up in the engine before the plane is started.

The result is a flame erupting from the tail of the plane, that's accompanied by a startling

amount of noise.

After McCain started his engine in this manner, the electrical surge of this maneuver subsequently

caused the accidental launching of a powerful Zuni rocket across the carrier's deck, that

hit two other parked planes that were packing 1,000-pound highly-explosive bombs.

Or perhaps McCain's sentiments of "not putting America first" was bred from his

selfish desires after being rescued as a POW, where he would then go on to bury evidence

of there being other POW's held by the Vietnamese for his own selfish political reasons.

Three months after the bloody tragedy on the USS Forrestal Aircraft Carrier, John McCain

was sent on a bombing mission over Hanoi in October of 1967 when he was shot down and

captured by the North Vietnamese, where he's go on to be a prisoner of war until 1973.

After being released from captivity, McCain would use his POW story and veteran status

to rise to political prominence, where his image as a "Vietnam war hero" would go

on to propel him to be elected as a United States Senator.

But a "hero" is the last thing that John McCain was or will ever be.

What most people don't know is the massive government scandal that McCain helped hide,

as he'd go on for decades to tirelessly work to bury stunning information about American

prisoners over in Vietnam who unlike him, didn't return home.

Using his position as a senator, McCain would be behind the scenes quietly pushing and sponsoring

federal laws that would keep the most damning information about our POWs buried through

classified documents.

More evidence of Traitor McCain "not putting America first" was on full display several

months ago, after the disturbing bombshell was leaked about how he's basically owned

by George Soros and Muslim terrorists.

After a little digging was done into the McCain Institute, a rather suspicious donor list

immediately began sending off alarm bells.

One of his most generous donors to McCain's organization is the Royal Embassy of Saudi

Arabia, the very same Muslims LINKED to the 9/11 terror attack!

Yep, that's right.

John McCain is owned by Muslims!

Share this story and help expose what a massive TRAITOR John McCain truly is!

Not only has his life been full of treason and his own selfish ambitions, but he's

now attempting to pass the torch of treason to these newly commissioned officers, in an

effort to ensure there's other people inside our government hating America just has much

as he does!

How To Draw Animation Part 3 Overlapping Action Secret Sauce of Animation - Duration: 3:37.

What's so important about overlapping action?

How does using this basic principle make your animation better?

Stick around, and I'll show you.

(Sound Effects)

(Music)

Hi!

I'm John Celestri.

Welcome to my studio.

This mission of this channel is to share with you what I've learned in my 40 plus years

of animating professionally, and to help you be a better animator.

If you like this video, give us a comment!

And subscribe!

In a previous video, I showed a basic example of overlapping action.

Check out the link in the description below.

In this video, we'll analyze how overlapping action can be used multiple ways within one movement!

(Music)

Now let's isolate Zoey.

With Snuffy off to the side.

First, let's focus on the upper portion of her body.

There's a lot going on.

Even squash and stretch is added to the mix.

In slow motion, we can focus a little better.

Watch how her shoulders antic down and hunch up.

Her head shifts side-to-side to hit the beat.

Ears drag behind and snap, overlapping the head action throughout the movement.

Note the ponytail and bangs.

The eyes stretch open in anticipation of closing to hit the beat.

Zoey's elbow leads, raising her arm.

Pulls out the tambourine from behind her back with a snap.

Ears, hair, furry cheeks all overlap.

Note the arm and wrist movement bringing the tambourine to position, ready to be hit.

Even the purple bow has overlapping action.

Observe how the tip of her ponytail snaps in time to the tambourine hitting her hip.

Now, let's switch our focus to Zoey's hips and lower torso area.

She swings her hips up.

Accents down to one side.

Skirt action follows behind, then swings to the other side.

And repeats this cycle, keeping time to the beat of the cowbell.

Antics up, and then as she comes down, pulls out her tambourine from behind her back.

Raising it up high, her chest and hip accenting the beat.

Quickly antics down.

Note how the skirt action flows in a delayed manner.

Watch the combination of overlapping action and squash and stretch give the feeling of

smacking her tambourine against her hip.

Zoey repeats the actions.

And settles down to her resting position.

Challenge!

Find yourself a basic musical beat, and then do your own interpretation.

That's all for this session.

Thanks for swinging by my desk.

Until next time, keep your pencils sharp!

A Visit To Zoo | Saavi | English | story bodhi - Duration: 4:50.

STORYBODHI PRESENTS A VISIT TO ZOO The school was going to get over.

Children were packing up their bags and at that time itself, Principal sir walked into

the classroom.

Hello children.

I am here to introduce an activist from a NGO.

Sir, what is a NGO?

NGO means non-government organization.

These people work on charity basis.

But this NGO specially focuses on working for welfare of animals.

They provide shelter and food to stray animals.

He is going to take you all with him tomorrow to a zoo and show you how animals live there.

All children got excited about the next day trip and started discussing among themselves.

Their class teacher told them to be on time for next day.

Jaanvi, Veer and Saavi started listing the names of animals they would see there.

The next day, all the children traveled to zoo with the activist and their class teacher.

After entering the zoo, the activist took them to see monkeys.

The monkeys love to eat bananas.

They also love jumping from one branch to another.

I have seen street plays of monkeys in my hometown village.

It is very interesting.

Next, they saw lions in a cage.

Sir, don't these animals feel captured in a cage.

They cannot roam like us.

Yes they do feel.

That is why we activist visit them regularly.

We also provide them food with our own hands.

Lion is a fierce animal and he is also known as the king of jungle.

Later on, they saw tigers.

Then they saw zebras.

The zebra is a very peaceful animal.

The white and black strips on them look very good.

Zebra crossing on roads have been named after them, after their strips.

All the students gazed at the animals.

Then they went to see snakes.

Snakes are harmless unless until we try to touch them or do anything.

They remove their skin time to time.

Some of them are poisonous while some of them are not.

Water snakes are mostly poisonous.

When I went on a trip to animal kingdom with my family, I saw people trying to carry the

snake in their hands or even wind them up in their neck.

Why didn't the snake bite them?

Because those are tamed and trained snakes.

They do not bite anyone unless their owner commands to do so.

Their owners also remove their poison completely before giving them in anyone's hands, so

that even if they bite, the person will be safe.

All students got their eyes on the snakes staring at their various colors and the way

they slide their body to move.

Next they saw elephants.

Elephants are very kind creatures on this earth.

They too love bananas.

They live longest among all the mammals.

It is a giant mammal that is easily tamed by humans.

I have experienced elephant ride.

It was very fun.

Yes, elephants can give you a very tall ride.

Later on they saw Crocodiles.

These mammals have two categories in them.

One of them is Alligators and other is Crocodiles.

They look similar but if you notice, you will see that alligator have U-shaped snouts and

crocodiles have pointed V-shape in front.

All children try to look carefully at them and they got happy when they noticed and were

able to identify the correct one.

They saw lot many animals ahead.

So children, next time we will visit Bird Park.

All children were very happy with today's visit and happily went home.
