I hope that you enjoyed the projects I shared and that they somehow inspired you

but now, before I'll take a few weeks off,

I have another video that I'd liketo share with you

a video that I upload every year at the end of December

with the best of beauty

the best of the beauty products from the year that's about to end

In 2016 I divided it in 3 parts, make up, skincare and haircare

while this year I condensed everything in today's video

so get ready for a very long one

and I tell you straight away it will be mainly focused on make up

because it's the cathegory in which there are more new products that

I discovered in 2017 and instantly entered in my top chart of the favourite products

I also included a few skincare bits that I discovered in 2017

and that I wanted to share with you

for all the other things I invite you to check my videos from last year

in case you missed them because

both for skincare and haircare my favourite products are basically the same

you'll find both videos by clicking on the Is that will appear above my head

Ok, I said everything, so let's jump in the 2017 best of beauty video.

as I said I'll mainly focus on make up and I'll try to feature the products

following a somehow logical order, which is the one I use when I apply them

so let's start with face primers

Unfortunately my favourite primer from 2017 it's not yet available in Italy

as it's the Fenty Beauty one, the makeup line launched by Rhianna this year,

and it's the pro filt'r soft matte instant retouch primer

I already featured it in many videos, so it won't be a surprise

I like it because it's lightweight, it reminds me of an hydrating face cream

and it doesn't feel like it cloags the pores

but at the same time if offers a good base for the make up

which lasts a lot longer too

Still speaking about primers

let's talk about eye primers, a product I use on a daily base, otherwise my eye make up would only last 2 seconds

my favourite one in 2017 is Laura Mercier Eye Basics

I like it because the wand is really handy

it's lightweight, you almost cannot feel it, but just like

the Fenty one, it creates a good base for the eye make up

Let's move on, after I applied my primers

I apply the foundation

I couldn't narrow down to just one product, so I went for 2

one is again by Fenty Beauty which, as I said, it's not yet available in Italy,

and the other one is the Lock it Foundation by Kat Von D

They both offer a good coverage

the Kat Von D one maybe a bit more and the finish is definitely matte

the Fenty Beauty one, which I like a bit more and it's a discovery from this year,

still offers a good coverage, but the finish is a bit more dewy, it doesn't make your face

look like a Kabuki mask

I like both a lot and I often mix them together because

you may remember from my past videos that I bought the Fenty one in a shade a bit too dark

while the Kat Von D one is a bit too light

but together they are just perfect

so that's why I featured both in the 2017 best of beauty

By the way I haven't told you yet, but you should know it by now

Ok, let's move on or this video will be to freaking long

the last step to create the make up base is concealer

and here I had a really hard time choosing just one, so I went for 4

because synthesis is a great gift of mine

So they are 4, but they are also quite different

let's start with the first one which is not simply a concealer, but a color corrector

Urban Decay Naked skin in peach which is

perfect to hide dark circles

because it comes in a pink shade that contrasts the dark circles

and at the same time it's light weight, it melts in the skin

and it's like having nothing on, but

it still hides the dark circles, which is great

and I also like the wand and in general I love this kind of wand on concealers

because it makes a lot easier the application

The second I chose is Rimmel wake me up

and I like it because once again it's really light weight

but also very bright, so I use it

with the Naked skin, the wand is nice too

very light weight, very bright , perfect to add some light and hide the dark circles even more

The last 2 are quite similar and the difference with the previous ones

is that they offer a very high coverage so

they should be applied carefully

The first one is Kat Vo D lock it concealer crème

and the second is Too Faced born this way

I like both, but as I said they are quite heavy

so you should apply them with care, I use them both to cover my dark circles

and also to add some light where needed, like the bridge of my nose

on my forehead, on my chin, on the cupid's bow

because they are really out there

and I had to include them in my best of beauty

After I applied the base I usually set it

using a spray which is both a primer and a setting spray

Urban Decay Quick Fix which I had to feature in this video because I discovered it in 2017

and I fell in love with it

as I said it can be used as a primer, so before you apply make up

or as a setting spray as I do to set the base

so after I did my base I spray some on and it allows me to skip the setting powder

which is nice as it means less products on my face and it's a lot quicker too

Ok, let's move to the eyes make up

eyeshadow palettes, this year I fell in love with a few of them and I chose to feature 2 of them

because I had to narrow down

and the first one is Urban Decay Naked heat

I should say that Urban Decay palettes are always amazing, at least the ones I tried

and this one is perfect for me

I already showed it many times and I love it because the shades are all warm ones

brick reds, pink shades, some are shimmer and some are matte

it's a perfect palette to create both everyday looks and more elegant ones and I love it

the other one is

another great classic, there has been a lot of hype around it, it was launched, if I'm not wrong,

last year, in 2016

I'm talking about Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance

I love it and you can tell by looking at it

I used it a lot, once again it's mainly warm toned, warm shades are my faves

This time the majority of them are matte except a few, like the golden shade called Primavera and this pink called Vermeer

anyway you can mix these 2 palettes and I recommend both otherwise I wouldn't have featured them in this video

Let's move on with the eye make up

After I apply the eyeshadow I usually apply the eyeliner and here

I had no doubts because my 2017 favourite is Kat Von D Tattoo liner

one of her best sellers

and there's a reason

well to be honest there's more than just one reason, the first reason is

that you don't need to shake it to get the product out

because by closing the cap it instantly charges up

did you hear it?

another reason is that it's really intense, it lasts all day and it has a

thin felt tip that allows to create a very defined line

even if you are not a pro at applying eyeliner

so of course I had to feature in my best of beauty the tattoo liner

the shade is Trooper, the super black one

What's the next step after applying the eyeliner?

Mascara!

This year it's back the same from last year, if I'm not wrong

because I couldn't find any better one n 2017

I'm talking about Benefit Roller Lash

and by the way I remember that the first time I tried it I wasn't so sure about it

I don't know why , sometimes it happens

but after a few months I fell in love with it and infact it's still

the best mascara on the market, at least in my opinion

what makes it special I think

together with the formula it's the wand

which has these thin plastic bristles

it's bended and allows to perfectly coat the lashes adding volume too

and it's perfect for the bottom lashes too

because the wand is not too big.

With the mascara we ended the eye make up

we still need to talk about eyebrows though

I selected 2 products which I discovered this year

I liked both a lot

the first one is Benefit Goof Proof Brow pencil

I like it because it's super easy to use

on one side it has the spooler to comb the eyebrows

on the other side there's the actual pencil, which is slant and it works like this

and the formula reminds me of a wax , it's easy to apply and the shape of it allows to define the brows in a quite natural way

without loosing too much time, I think it's called goof proof because it's that easy to use

the second product is a new one from 2017, there has been a lot of hype around it

it was all over Instagram and Facebook at a certain moment

I'm talking about Wunderbrow, the brow gel that never smudges or fades away

it lasts until you use a make up remover basically

it has a built in brush, which is quite big

at the beginning I was a bit scared to use the brush, but then I realized

that it's not that hard to use, I apply it roughly with the brush

and then I comb throught the brows with a spooler and that's it

it's perfect in the Summertime because you can swim, sunbathe and it will stay on, amazing!

and the eye make up is done, now let's move to the rest of the face

we applied the foundation, we set it with the setting spray

it's time to contour

and I have to admitt that I'm not very good at it

anyway my favourite product from 2017 is Kat Von D Shade & Light palette

the products are in powder and I like it a lot

because it's quite subtle and it allows to create a soft contour

there are 3 dark shades to contour

and 3 clear shades which can be used as transitional shades

or even as powders to set the make up

All in all I think it's a great palette

and I really like it, so I had to include it in this video

Let's move on with the last two steps of the face make up

My favourite blush for 2017

is the Lancome cushion blush subtil without a doubt

2017 has been the year of cushion style products

the trend started in the previous years, but in 2017 a ton of cushion products were released

my favourite among all is probably this one

the Lancome blush

You have the cushion with the product which is very bright

it gives a heathly and young appearance to your cheeks

it lasts all day , it's easy to apply, it's not

too intense, but it's buildable

and it's definitely my favourite blush for 2017

The last step of my face make up is always

the highlighter and my past year favourite is back

Becca's champagne pop

because in my opinion is the best highlighter on the market

I haven't found anything better yet

I love the golden shine, it's intense, I'm wearing it now as I basically wear it everyday

it's easy to apply and adds a unique gleam of light and brightness

so no doubts Becca's champagne pop shimmering skin perfector is my favourite

the powder one, because I tried the cream version too, but it's not as good

I think it's time to talk about the lips

and once again I had a hard time narrowing down

but looking carefully I can see that I manage to narrow down to 3 products

the first one is

a lip pencil

among all the ones I tried in 2017 my favourite is

the Kat Von D one which I bought towards the end of the year

it's the lip liner in Misfit

I like the burgundy shade, perfect to outline the lips

and it works like this, so you don't need to sharpen the tip

and the tip is always ready, moreover it's super creamy

and lasts a long time

I love to use it on its own too, as a substitute for the lipstick

so I had to feature it

then I have another 2, which are both from Sephora

I have no idea how the line is called

brilliant , but here they are

you can find them in Sephora, they look like this

they have a matte finish, long lasting and they are lovely to wear

they do not dry the lips or feel uncomfortable at all

you can wear them without a problem

ok, that's it for the make up, now I have a few more skincare products I'd like to share

which are the ones I discovered in 2017

The first one is a body butter, the Brazilian Bum Bum cream

I discovered it in 2017 and I already finished it, I only have

a tiny bit left, even if I used it sparingly, so it's time

to restock on it, I love the vanilla fragrance a lot

the texture is velvety and very luxurious I would say

it's a pleasure to apply, it soaks in quickly and it leaves the skin

silky smooth and deeply hydrated

it's amazing and I understand why everyone has been raving about it

so that's Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream

then I have 2 Fresh products, because of course I had to feature Fresh

The Black Tea Firming Overnight mask

a leave in mask, which doesn't need to be rinsed off

I often use it as a substitute for my night cream

and in fact it looks like a cream

you apply it at night before going to bed

there's no need to rinse it off

you leave it on through the night and in the morning you simply wash your face

and the skin feels toned up and hydrated

so I really like it and I felt like sharing it with you

and again by Fresh

this year they launched a new lip balm

the caramel one, the sugar lip caramel hydrating beilm...BEILM..Balm

I'm obsessed with it and as you can see from the dent on it I've been using it quite a lot

it's very hydrating, lovely especially in Wintertime

also because the caramel scent is kind of wintery to me and because it's quite rich

and the last two skincare products I'd like to share

are by Sisley

a very highend and expensive brand

but probably also one of the best on the market as far as skincare is concerned

this year I invested a bit more on skincare

and I wish to feature at least these 2 products

The Hydra Global anti age face cream

which I love to pieces

since I started using it I've become obsessed and I think I'll restock it as soon as I'll finish it

even if it's super expensive, 188.00 euro

I love the packaging with the pump on top

which is very handy

pump pump and you apply it on your face

it's fresh, light weight, it soaks in quickly

and it deeply hydrates the skin while fighting the thin lines

and then I have an eye mask, the masque contour des eyeux, which basically means eye mask

but if you say it in french it sounds fancier

you simply apply it on the eye area, you leave it on for 10 minutes

then you remove the excess and rub the residuals in

so it's easy to use and it helps to hydrate and smoothen the eye area

and we reached the end of this very long video all about my favourite beauty products for 2017

on which products are worth trying or simply are more suitable for you

German Slang Words To Sound Like A Native - Duration: 4:08.

Hi! It's Laura from MosaLingua. Today I'm going to talk about 15 German slang words.

Of course, you probably already know some, like "Wie geht's dir?" or "Wie geht es Ihnen?"

which you say when you meet someone. If you say "Alles fit?" or "Alles klar?"

instead, you'll sound more casual... Want to meet up with a German friend?

Ask them: "Hast du Bock auf Kino?" Which means:

"Are you up for a movie?" "Bock" is actually the word for "buck."

Kind of creative, isn't it? And then they might answer: "Ja,

ich möchte ins Kino gehen!" or even more casually: "Ja, ich bin dabei!"

We don't use long, annoying expressions to talk about certain fun activities. "Zocken"

means to play video games. And "kicken"? That one means soccer, of course!

Soccer is most Germans' favorite sport. The World Cup finals game was so

"gut." Using slang, you'd say: "Das WM-Finale war 'Eins A,' 'fett,' or even 'abgefahren.'"

Some people, on the other hand, might think soccer is "total daneben" or

"mega nervig." These would be people who aren't big fans, or who

think soccer is boring. There's a problem - it's European Cup or

World Cup time. Soccer is everywhere. These people might say:

"Das geht Ihnen auf den Zeiger." What does it mean? "Zeiger"

actually refers to the hands of a clock: there is a big one and a little one.

"Auf den Zeiger gehen" means that something is so irritating

that you want it to stop as soon as possible. Your friend might respond by saying: "Bleib

mal locker!" or "Komm mal klar!" They don't see what your problem is,

and might even say: "Entspann dich!" - relax! But regardless of whether you are a soccer fan or not,

these German slang expressions will

make you sound like a native speaker. Last but not least,

I wanted to share one of my favorite German slang expressions:

"Das Leben ist kein Ponyhof!" Can you guess

what it means? "Ponyhof" is a place where ponies live,

a farm or ranch where you could probably imagine them frolicking, happy and carefree.

What it really means: "Life is not always easy." But thanks to

Hi Bixby - there's potential - Duration: 6:35.

I wanted to do this video in English, but then I thought "Why?"

English people can already use Bixby without problems, but the problems are for the others.

Bixby, for those who do not know this, it is the new assistant of Samsung. At least for now, unfortunately, it is available

only in English and Korean, but they said they are working on the implementation of new languages.

Without going around, let's go straight to the point: Why do I think there is potential in Bibxy?

First of all, machine learning. Bixby is not only able to do everything the other assistants do, but learns.

You can teach Bixby to do something with a certain command. Plus Bixby learns your way of speaking.

We don't speak perfectly in English, each of us has his own way of pronouncing the words,

everyone has the own way of speaking in English and Bixby can learn it.

You have some phrases to read and the pronunciation of the words is saved for a better understanding of future commands.

And I confess you something. It works !

It works because at the beginning I gave some commands and a good half was not understood

or Bixby understood other things because he did not understand what I said,

Then I did some machine learning.

After about 30 minutes of sentences and my pronunciations saved, a good 80% of the commands

was understood without problems. Then the problem is that Bixby, at least for now is only in English and ok.

But surely when they'll implement all the other languages, and then when there will be Bixby in Italian, it will be the best.

This assistant can interact with almost any app and can do actions inside them.

For example if you open facebook manually and then you want to post the last picture taken, you can say Hi Bixby, post the last picture taken

* stop activating *

and the assistant will do all the rest, maybe tell him to also include some description and Bixby will do all the rest.

All these actions can also be said outside the app. In the sense you are on the bed,

you have the phone on the table, you do not want to get up, say "Hi Bixby" and say the whole command from the begin.

I mean <Open facebook, post the last picture taken and write "Hello" (any description)>

and Bixby will do everything from the begin. Obviously if there is a phone lock, he will ask you to unlock the phone.

Or if for example you are at home and you have the smart lock, he will do all the actions on its own.

The important thing is that he understands everything he has to do.

This is the only assistant, for now, who has 3 voices.

I personally use the standard one called Stephanie and I think it's the best.

However, there are 2 female and 1 male voice packs.

In addition, Bixby Home.

Bixby Home is a hub where you can put your favorite apps, news, calendar,

all you want because obviously it is customizable, and have everything on hand.

A bit like the BlackBerry hub, although this is pretty much improved.

I personally do not use it, but simply because I'm used to open the apps to see the notifications.

But Bixby Home, indeed, is a good hub because it contains everything you need

on hand, all in one place and more allows you to save the battery.

Last, but not least, the dictation. Because Bixby can write a dictation and can do it in two ways: by pressing the button or not.

If the keyboard is opened, holding down the Bixby button you can do a dictation and Bixby will write it down

in the selected language so this does not depend from the fact that Bixby is only in English or in Korean

in fact, in this way the dictation can also be written in Italian, or in any case in the language selected in the keyboard.

Without pressing the key, the commands are in English. After activating Bixby, just say "DICTATE" and then say the phrase that Bixby has to write.

And this is a very convenient feature and will be even more convenient when all languages are implemented

because, for example, who goes to school and wanna take written notes, just activate the dictation and because Bixby will write everything that will be dictated.

And that's all for now. I think there's a lot of potential in Bixby because he's already a great rival to Siri,

in many aspects he already exceeds Siri, even if the only deficit of this new assistant is, precisely, the language.

But when all the languages will be implemented this assistant will be, in my opinion, the number 1.

And just to insert a small final parenthesis, Bixby can also be connected to the Internet of Things,

that is, it can control smart fridges, everything. If you have a smart home, you can control it through Bixby

because he has the functions implemented for the Internet of Things.

So who has an S8 or Note 8, and haa Bixby and unfortunately does not speak well in English,

continue to teach him your way to talk because, once he has understood your pronunciation,

once Bixby understands your way of saying things, everything will be easier,

It will be much easier to teach other words and read other phrases to make Bixby learn the way you pronounce.

So do not give up, make sure to teach him because it will be really comfortable.

The Spanish Jesuit Martyrs of Virginia: History in a Minute (Episode 55) - Duration: 2:31.

On today's episode of History in a Minute, the Jesuit Martyrs of Virginia.

Hey, everyone it's Mr. Philip Campbell with Homeschool Connections History in a

Minute. I am your bearded nerdy history guru. We are pretty familiar with the

Jesuit Martyrs of North America with Saint Isaac Jogues and John de Brebeuf.

The martyrs who were killed by the Iroquois Indians along the St. Lawrence

in the 17th century. But did you know that there was actually Jesuit martyrs a

century prior in Virginia? Spanish Jesuit martyrs? That's right in 1570 a Spanish

ship carrying a group of Jesuit missionaries came up the James River

near Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. They were intent on setting a colony there

and they were led by a Father Segura and Father Segura had a local Indian guide

named Don Luis who was who had adopted Christianity and was friendly with the

Jesuits. However once the once the Jesuit mission got into the Virginia wilderness

Don Luis abandoned them and he went back to his tribe. Father Segura tried to

persuade him to come back to the mission and to to embrace the Christian

lifestyle but this angered on Luis and he slaughtered some of the the Jesuit

priests. Father Segura tried to make peace with with the local Indians and

the Indians came back to the mission and they agreed to chop firewood for Father

Segura and so Father Segura gave them some axes to chop firewood. Big mistake.

Once Don Luis and the Indians had the axes

they raised the war-whoop and they they massacred the Jesuits down to the last

man except for a little a little boy was taken as prisoner. The murders weren't

discovered until 1572 when another Spanish ship arrived and saw the local

natives walking around in clothes they had stolen from the Jesuits. The Spanish

attacked them and from the prisoners found out the story. Don Luis escaped. We

don't know what would happen to him. But at any rate, the Jesuit Martyrs of

Virginia, killed in 1570, predating the the North American Martyrs of Canada and

New York by you know by almost a hundred years. So it's a really neat piece of

Catholic history and we should also remember that the Christian

presence in Virginia didn't start with with Jamestown. It started in 1570 with

Father Segura and the Jesuit Martyrs. Hey for more information on just all sorts

Korean gov't to levy taxes on clergy from 2018 onwards - Duration: 0:41.

Religious groups in Korea will lose their tax-exempt status from next year.

The move was sealed on Tuesday when the Cabinet signed off on the government's new tax code

revision.

It's expected that cash and compensation received after religious services, including voluntary

work provided by clergy members, will be recognized as part of their income, and will be taxed

in a similar way to income tax.

The National Finance Institute expects taxing religious groups will add more than 55 million

U.S. dollars to state coffers each year.

Some religious organizations, such as the Catholic Church and the Anglican Church of

Korea, have already been paying taxes voluntarily.

Customers sue Apple over slowed iPhones - Duration: 1:42.

Apple is in hot water after it admitted to slowing down older iPhone models.

The tech giant says it took the measure to make aging batteries last longer, but a lot

of consumers aren't convinced.

They think Apple was trying to get force them to hand over money for new phones and are

suing.

Park Ji-won has more.

In the U.S., iPhone owners from several states, including Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and North

Carolina, filed lawsuits against Apple in federal courts in Chicago and Los Angeles

late last week.

They claim Apple violated consumer fraud laws by staying silent on the deliberate slowing

down of their devices to push them to buy newer, more expensive iPhones.

They also claim that the tech giant company never requested consent from users about the

slowdowns of their iPhones,... and users didn't give consent to the company to interfere with

their devices.

The complaints have spread to Israel, with users filing a 125 million U.S.-dollar class-action

lawsuit against Apple on Monday,... for breaching its basic duties toward users by failing to

disclose that software updates would have a negative impact on the performance of their

phones.

Apple officially announced last week that the software updates were meant to fix the

irregularities of the older smartphone models,... and to prevent the devices from unexpectedly

shutting down.

iPhone 6, 6S, SE and iPhone 7 models have been affected by the software update.

6 Special Traits That Prove Introverts Are Incredibly Attractive

There are roughly 30-50 percent of introverts in the world, but why it's great to be an

introvert?

You're comfortable being on your own, I mean, who wants to spend 24 hours a day having someone

chew your ear off about some basic shit.

I'd much rather lock myself away to a cosy corner in my room watching movies, reading

books, even sometimes go out for food in a restaurant on my own.

(I know it seems scary but it's really not, it's actually so refreshing).

Now there's nothing wrong with all you extroverts out there, but when us introverts are on our

own we have time to do the simple things like stopping and smelling the roses, and other

things that aren't so cheesy.

When it comes to friends, Extroverts have tons, which is great… but when an introvert

has friends, they can usually count them all on one hand, but can count on them to be there

through anything.

As an introvert, it's easier to day dream because you have all this quiet alone time

to do nothing, this however can back fire, try to restrict this while in important classes

or meetings, or when in public in case you stare at someone with a resting bitch face

(trust me on that one, it doesn't end pretty).

Despite the negatives, daydreams can be a basis idea for something huge, so keep dreaming

and it gives you a chance to think things through before you take big decisions.

If you still don't believe it, here are 6 spot-on reasons to prove that being introverts

are really great.

Introverts are very sensitive people inside, but once you get to know us we can be friends

forever.

Introverts make good friends because they're fab and you never want to lose them.

Besides, making new friends is more effort for an introvert than anyone, talking to new

people can be really daunting.

Introverts are like puppies...

Sometimes you just have to approach us with a little bit of caution, but we warm up to

you eventually!

Talking in social situations is a little bit hard for us

But we often excel in writing, or some other form of a creative outlet, ask us about it,

that's one thing we'll talk to anyone about for hours!

Introverts are a bit like a mobile phone...

Let us plug ourselves in to something we enjoy and we'll power back up, and can often cope

in social interactions for a while, just give us break every now and then.

Introverts get easily pleased...

A warm blanket and a good book and you wont even know we're there, so no need to worry

about late nights and house parties.

Introverts are a little bit harder to punish...

But if you try to take away our blankets, books and movies we'll do whatever you say.

Well, that's the spot-on reasons to prove introverts are undeniably attractive.

People often think that just because you like your own space your antisocial and boring,

that you need to be more outgoing, which totally not true!

Maybe extroverts are confident, but without us, they couldn't sit still long enough to

get things done, and that's why it's so great to be an introvert.

Okay, so this is a very useful expression to ask for someone's opinion on something

and you've probably noticed that the native speed version is very reduced

so we basically reduce the phrase and there are kind of two versions to this.

Sometimes we say "Wha" and the "Wha" sound becomes very short and then we say "jer",

so the "do you" becomes a "jer" merged sound and then "think", sometimes we don't always

release the "k" sound at the end, so it's like "thin", "thin", "thin".

So together, three parts: "wha-jer-thin"?

Some native speakers of English make it even shorter and it sounds like "cha-thin", "cha-thin", "cha-thin",

so it's just the second and third part that you'll hear.

So to put this into practice, please repeat after me slowly.
