Leotard repair Part I
Hello, dear students.
Today we shall get busy with leotard repair, which
arrived back to us for resale after a long use.
At first we need to decide what we'll need.
We shall require a set of tools: scissors, needles,
threads of the same colours as used on the leotard,
some rhinestones to replace missing ones.
They can be hotfix or flatback.
Flatbacks have foil backing.
Hotfix have a ribbed bask side
with dry glue added to the grey surface.
Flatback does not have a back side like this.
You will require an iron for applying hotfix rhinestones.
Iron should have steam function
with maximum quantity of steam holes on the soleplate.
We shall use steam and temperature setting number 2 for gluing hotfix rhinestones.
We also require an iron cloth.
It is a cotton piece of material with no printing and in white colour.
We shall need a board to insert into the leotard,
this will stop hotfix rhinestones, say, from the back
to stick to the front of the leotard.
You could substitute the board for a towel,
folded few times.
I suggest you would use a white towel
otherwise it can stain the leotard.
What else shall we need?
We shall need a White Glue for flatback rhinestones.
I use Danscouture.
We shall also require tweezers
and pins.
There are different types of pins.
This type can be used for applying hotfix rhinestones,
These pins have a glass top.
These ones cannot be used
as the top is plastic and painted.
It will melt under the heat and stain your leotard.
You can easily use this type.
Usually pins of Russian manufacturers are of good quality.
I prefer using this type of pins.
Before starting, we need to have a good look
at any damages on a leotard.
What can we see here?
First, missing stones.
Can you see that?
It can happen during an intensive use of a leotard.
What else is there?
Some applique elements have loose threads
for example here in the corner.
Our workshop tries to secure stitches of appliques where they
would be least visible if undone,
thus still maintaining a nice look.
For example in the corner.
In this case we can simply cut threads off.
It will not result in a tear here.
What else can we see?
Sometimes a tension appears at the corners of appliques,
which can result in tiny holes
due to leotard deformation.
It is very rare, but happens sometimes.
Do you see here, this hole needs to be fixed.
To fix this hole we need to take a thread of the same colour.
We call it a skin tone in our workshop.
We need to tie a small knot.
Cut off excess thread.
We need to turn leotard inside.
Secure the stitch under the applique
by feeding the threaded needle through the loop created by the knot.
We start carefully stitching up the hole.
We literary take two thread of the mesh next to the hole.
Do not take too much.
Just a bit is enough.
I try to slightly stretch the fabric
so I stitch the leotard up stretched.
It will make the seam be more stable during the use.
We can always camouflage it with a rhinestone later.
At any stage of repair, we are trying to do our work
the best we can.
We should always keep in mind, how a leotard will work during its use.
I came to the end of the hole
even a but further to the undamaged part, and then I come back.
Why do I secure the stitch here? Because it can always come undone.

Our workshop mostly uses hotfix rhinestones,
as they look much neater and are glued stronger to a fabric.
We need to use our board so the front of the leotard
wouldn't stick to the back while applying the stones.
So we insert the board inside the leotard.
I shall explain how to make a board yourself in one of our lessons,
dedicated to a decoration of leotards with Swarovski crystals.
At home you can use a towel, folded several times,
which you will insert into a leotard.
I put leotard flat,
pin it to the board to avoid movement
so the stones which I spread out would not get accidently swept off.
Take tweezers and a container with stones.
When decorating leotards, we prefer divide stones into
different containers by sizes.
these are lots for sizes 12, 16, 20, 30, 34 etc.
Also it is convenient for repair to have a container of stones in different sizes
but in the same colour.
I start laying out the stones.
I prefer starting with a bigger size.
Size 20 is frequently used
in the mesh part of the leotard.
So we shall use size 20 to cover the repaired hole.
As you can see size 20 almost completely covers this repaired spot.
We put the stone.
Not only it will cover the repaired spot,
it will make it stronger.
Let's have a look where we have other missing stones.
I think I put all stones in size 20.
Now I shall lay out 16.
Where else?
It is better to use stones either of the size,
or a size bigger to cover the old glued area.
I work with size 12 stones.

To fix the stones I need to make sure my iron is hot.
We use energy saving irons,
which turn themselves into a waiting mode.
Can you here, it is a steam.
I cover the stones with an ironing cloth,
we need to be careful without shifting the stones.
We shall use setting 2 on the iron.

I keep iron on for 30-40 seconds for smaller sizes,
constantly adding steam.
Heat is not enough to fix stones properly.
You need to press an iron
so the glue off the stones would penetrate into the fabric fibers.
I move the iron a bit to stop it turning itself off.
Sometimes we hold it for quite a while, so it turns itself off.
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ...
... 27, 28, 29, 30.
For sizes 12-20, 40 seconds is enough.
For size 40,for instance,
you need to hold an iron for 80 seconds/counts.
5, 6, 7, 8 ...
... 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40.
Now I shall remove the pins,
which fixed the leotard on the board.
This board is covered with a flannel,
as flannel has tiny fibers
which tear off with glued stones.
If a stone is glued to the fibers of flannel through the mesh fabric,
it means they are glued properly,
and most probably will not fall off during the use.
I have just found another defect.
Can you see that the applique here is ripped off?
We shall use white threads to fix it.
Let's take white threads.
We use thread of high quality in our workshop,
German brand Gutermann.
They are reasonably strong and smooth.
I fold the thread in half and tie a knot to be able
to make a loop for securing the thread.
I shall clean the knot by removing the excess threads.
I think I am better off turning it inside out.
It will be more comfortable for me to reattach the ripped element.
You can do it on the right side, it is up to you.
As before, when repairing a hole, we need to secure the thread with a loop
Now we start stitching the applique almost through its edge.
To be honest it is not important how we stitch it.
If a big piece of applique is ripped off,
which happens rarely we would have to remove the stones,
and reattach the applique using a sewing machine.
The stones can be removed the same way and glued.
First heat with an iron, then pill stones off using nails.
It is not a pleasant feeling, as stones get quite hot,
they slightly burn, but it is not too bad.
When reattaching an applique
you need to make sure a stitch is invisible on the right side.
I recommend stitching a bit further than the ripped part,
to avoid any possible tear.
Now we need to secure the stitch somewhere under the applique.
The last is the knot.
We tie it and cut off the thread.
Let's have a look what we have got.
Lace is a tricky fabric, often starts
pilling, which can be simply removed with scissors.
You need to be extra cautious with scissors not to cut through the lace.
We repaired the hole and glued stones.
So we should look through the whole leotard and repeat the same repairs if necessary.
Sometimes stones fall off, can you see?
This stone feel of the painted lace. It happens because the stone
got mostly glued to the paint not the fabric.
It is a rare case, not widespread,
but sometimes it happens.

we should restore that.
Why do they actively fall off here?
Because this part is under a lot of tension,
when a girl puts on or takes off the leotard.
This is the reason stones fall off.
It is harder to glue them back, as there are some rhinestones which are sewn on.
Sew on rhinestones are higher than hotfix, the difference in height makes it difficult
to evenly and properly heat the surface of hotfix rhinestones without touching them
It will be also harder to apply pressure to the rhinestones.
Let's have a look how we can do that here.
We are trying to lay the leotard flat
it would go under the iron without any folds and deformations.
I pin the leotard.

I cannot see anything bad here, apart from a bit of pilling of the lace part.
We shall remove them so the leotard has a nice neat look
That is it.
Now we need to lay out the missing rhinestones.
I shall use rhinestones bigger in size than the missing ones.
I cannot work here as it is bent because of the board.
There is a strand that is sticking out, I shall cut it off.
That's it.
Now we shall glue rhinestones.
We cover the leotard with the ironing cloth.
I heat the iron.
The steam is even.
I shall count a bit longer here, as I need to heat up glue properly.
Occasionally I add some steam.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 ...
... 48, 49, 50.
I move the iron so it doesn't
go into economy mode.
If you can hear a gurgling sound,
it shows the iron is not heated properly.
Voila!
Can you see what happens when an iron is not heated enough?
I do not recommend to glue to the red leotards in this position,
as red spandex can easily stain mesh.
Now the iron is well heated, I shall place it the way,
so its soleplate doesn't touch sew on rhinestones.
I shall count till 30.
I shall apply pressure to the rhinestones with the other side of the tweezers,
to make sure the melted glue is penetrated through the fibers of the fabric.
We are left with fixing a hook and a loop eye.
They are slightly torn off during the use.
I shall carefully inspect the whole leotard again
look through the bottom of the skirt.
We are almost finished repairing this leotard.
We need to wash it.
We shall do that a bit later.

Un fiasco sin paliativos, porque los andaluces no son tan botarates ni tan complacientes como creen algunos del gobierno de la Junta, sentenciaba el Diario de Sevilla.
La intención de Toñi Moreno es hablar de la felicidad, pero en realidad vende todo lo contrario: dramas, llantinas, enfermos, desaparecidos, fallecidos, arropados por unos coachs grabados (qué error, en un matinal en directo).
Pero nadie en Canal Sur le tocó un pelo a Moreno como tampoco le tocan el bigote a Juan y Medio. Un programa para echarse a llorar en todos los aspectos.
El matinal Gente maravillosa se encasquilló por debajo del 5 por ciento y dilapidó el presupuesto dedicado a la franja matinal,
pero no fue su final ni mucho menos: en 2018 el espacio fue a parar al prime time de los jueves con la insumergible Toñi Moreno como presentadora.
No era la primera vez que Happy Ending rescataba a Toñi Moreno. De momento, según los datos de PD, llevan gastados 1,25 millones de euros.
Tras pinchar en La 1 con Entre todos y T con T en 2014, [salto que pegó de la mano de uno de sus valedores, el ex director general de RTVA Pablo Carrasco],
Happy Ending le montó la sanluqueña el espacio Los Descendientes, un reality en el que familiares de emigrantes andaluces, varias generaciones después, regresan a su tierra para conocer el origen de sus ancestros.
Tras volver de TVE con la cabeza gacha, (salpicada por el escándalo de haber vulnerado los derechos de imagen y la intimidad personal de un niño con discapacidad) los sindicatos de Canal SUR recibieron a Moreno con el hacha de guerra:
Toñi Moreno no es bienvenida a la RTVA porque hace poco más de dos años abandonó la cadena andaluza junto a su valedor el empresario,
Nadie es profeta en su tierra. Nico Díaz, llevándose el programa que tenía en Canal Sur a TVE, denunciaron.
QUÉDENSE CON ESTE NOMBRE: FRANCISCO ROMACHO; Detrás de Happy Ending y los programas fiasco de Toñi están los ex directivos de Canal SUR Francisco Romacho (ex jefe de Programación de Informativos de Canal Sur Televisión entre 1990 y 1993,
director de Canal Sur Radio en 1995 y ex subdirector general de Desarrollo y Operaciones de la RTVA), José Manuel Fernández Cuadrado Lepo,
(creador de dudosos formatos como Tómbola, y Pepe Flores) y José Leopoldo Flores Caballero (ex director de producción ajena).
Estos ex directivos han seguido uno de los diez mandamientos de oro para hacerse rico con una cadena autonómica:
trabajar en ella y luego montar una productora a la que la cadena le compre formatos. Una puerta giratoria de libro.
Como dice el periodista Pepe Fernández, es difícil encontrar a un ex directivo de nivel de la corporación mediática andaluza que no haya acabado montando su propio chiringuito o viviendo al calor de la RTVA.
Ellos han conseguido colocar a Happy Ending en el club VIP de las seis productoras 'pata negra' que acumulan el 62% del dinero gastado por la televisión pública en los primeros ocho meses del año.
Romacho no solo aparece vinculado a Happy Ending sino también a la filial de Mediapro en Andalucía, Mediasur, que produce el espacio La Báscula .
y que fue señalado por la utilización de la marca de la RTVA como reclamo para otros negocios ajenos a la televisión pública.
FACUA denunció que el programa 'La Báscula' se usó para promocionar clínicas de tres exdirectivos de RTVA, quienes son propietarios de los Centros Integrales La Báscula,
unas clínicas de adelgazamiento ubicadas en las instalaciones de los Hospitales Nisa andaluces.
Los que engordaron fueron los bolsillos de Romacho, Fernández Cuadrado y Flores Caballero.
Romacho admitió a El Confidencial que decidieron convertir el reality en negocio no sólo con clínicas de adelgazamiento, sino con la puesta en marcha de un restaurante,
El Tragaldabas, un establecimiento hostelero en pleno centro de Sevilla, al frente del cual está el televisivo chef Enrique Sánchez, presentador de La Báscula y de otros programas en Canal Sur como Cómetelo.
No producimos el programa. Vendimos el formato a Mediapro en 2013 y no facturamos a Canal Sur. Es ético y legal al 100%, destacó el exdirectivo de la televisión autonómica andaluza.
El administrador de Happy Ending TV SL admitió que Canal Sur le envió a la productora un requerimiento notarial para dilucidar si existía algún problema legal con el uso de la marca La Báscula.
Defendimos nuestra posición y nadie nos puede decir que no podamos abrir una clínica con un producto registrado.
Alguien podría entender que hay una confusión ética, pero no hay nada raro, remarcó Romacho.

Two centre-backs that Manchester United can sign instead of Kalidou Koulibaly
With Jose Mourinho sacked, Manchester United still need defensive reinforcements to help
them to get their season back on track.
While they want Kalidou Koulibaly, shelling out an exorbitant price for the 27-year-old
may not be an option.
While the Napoli man is exactly what the Red Devils need, the club's board must look
at other options to help satisfy their short-term, and maybe even their long-term problems.
But with Real Madrid also in the race for the 27-year-old, maybe Ed Woodward needs to
look past the burly centre-back.
That said, here are two equally brilliant stars that Manchester United can buy instead
of Kalidou Koulibaly.
1.
Benjamin Pavard.
When it comes to centre-backs, versatility and the ability to play two positions adds
to a player's transfer value, and that's what it has done for 22-year-old Benjamin
Pavard.
The Frenchman's ability to play either as a right back, a left-back or as a centre-back
has shot up his transfer value even more, after his performances for Stuttgart and France
in Russia.
But given that Pavard has a release clause worth around €35million for him, which makes
him a very affordable option.
And given the 22-year-old's skill set, it makes the transfer fee an absolute steal for
a player of his calibre.
However, with the likes of Liverpool and even Arsenal in the mix, things could make things
harder for Manchester United.
2.
Toby Alderweireld.
The 29-year old's current contract with Tottenham ends at the end of the 2018/19 season,
and that means come January, Alderweireld is free to negotiate with any club outside
the Premier League.
But if Manchester United somehow manages to convince him, they could get the Belgian star
for free and that would be a bargain for someone like the 29-year-old.
His experience in the Premier League makes him even more valuable for the Red Devils,
and now with Jan Vertonghen signing a new deal there are even fewer players available
at a cut raise price.
While Alderweireld does have an option for a one-year extension, it's highly unlikely
that Tottenham will activate it and that improves United's chances.

2 Caffeine Under Eye Roll Ons To Get Rid Of Dark Circles, Puffy Eyes & Wrinkles - Duration: 4:35.
Hi friends, this is Ramya from wildturmeric. In this video, I want to share
two caffeine eye roll on recipes that will reduce dark circles, puffiness and
wrinkles around the eyes very effectively. We do get caffeinated eye roll
ons in the markets but we can easily make them at home. Caffeine based eye
treatments are more effective than regular eye creams because caffeine
constricts blood vessels which helps reduce puffiness very effectively. Caffeine
also improves circulation, fades dark circles and reduces inflammation. When
buying coffee make sure it is hundred percent coffee as many coffee grounds have
chicory added to them. If in doubt, buy coffee beans and grind it yourself at
home and make sure not to use instant coffee. The base for these two eye roll on
recipes are coffee grounds and green tea. Though green tea has got
less caffeine than coffee grounds, it is full of antioxidants that helps treat
and prevent wrinkles around the eyes. Also tannins and flavonoids present in
green tea helps reduce inflammation so it is equally effective. I prefer roll-on
bottles as they are very relaxing and pleasant to use. We get empty roll on
bottles easily online and I will leave the link to all the products used in this recipe in the description box below.
Take a tablespoon of ground coffee in a bowl.
Now add in two tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil to it.
Now let the mixture steep for 24 hours. You can leave it longer if you have the time.
Strain the coffee mixture through a thin muslin cloth.
Straining through a cloth will ensure that we get a smooth mixture.
Now add in 1/2 teaspoon of cold pressed castor oil to it. Finally add in the contents of
one vitamin E capsule. Now mix well with a spoon.
Take a tablespoon of green tea in a bowl. Now add in two tablespoons of
extra-virgin olive oil to it.
Now let the mixture steep for at least 24 hours.
After 24 hours, strain the green tea mixture through a strainer.
Now add in 1/2 teaspoon of cold pressed castor oil to it. Finally add in the contents of
one vitamin E capsule.
Now mix well with a spoon.
After mixing, pour the contents in roll-on bottles.
Both these under eye serums will last well for at least three months at room
temperature. To use, before going to bed remove all makeup, pat dry and then apply
the serum under the eyes. Wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles will start
diminishing very quickly with regular use. Since these roll-on bottles are so
easy to carry even if you're traveling you can use it every single day. These
also make great gifts, just make sure to use pure cold-pressed oils and organic coffee and green tea for best results.

He explained to them the prophecies and the writings of the prophets and they marveled
at His wisdom but they hated Him, sought to kill Him and eventually had Him crucified,

He did not fit the script.
Jesus came for the Jews, because salvation is from the Jews, but the Jews rejected Him
and His words and therefor salvation was extended to the gentiles, the non-Jews.
Jesus did not come to make all men Jews but to make born again children of God that live
according to His words, His commands as they were also recorded in the gospels, Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John.
Jesus did not come to re-iterate the Law of Moses or make gentiles into Jews.
He gave a new commandment.
He called men to believe in Him and obey His commands, serve Him as Lord.
That is why the Hebrew roots movements and teachings are deception.
There is no salvation in the Torah and observing Jewish feasts, wearing Jewish clothes and
paraphernalia.
The law and prophets, Old Testament, was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Jesus said:"The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John (the baptist); since
that time the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached" Luke 16:16.
Christian churches have concocted many doctrines and teachings by combining Old Testament scripture
and the teachings of the apostles in the New Testament.
They have created concepts and images of Jesus, that do not exist.
They have put together a script from their own imaginations and from Bible scripture,
a script, like for a movie, and they expect Jesus to comply with it.
Jesus is not part of their script.
He is not part of their churches.
He does not fit into their imagination.
Jesus is Lord.
Jesus declared His kingdom.
He delivered His words of eternal life, the words that He spoke.
His words are the truth.
Jesus is the WAY.
The only way to have eternal life is to OBEY Him, to comply with His words, His commands.
He DISCLOSES Himself to those who ACCEPT Him and His words and who follow Him, those who
repent and are baptized in water and who seek Him, His kingdom and His righteousness, His
approval.
Most Christian believers do not accept Jesus and His words, because He does not FIT into
their SCRIPT, their PICTURE or CONCEPT of Him.
They feel secure in their religious illusion but they will wake up in hell, if they do
not seek Jesus, accept Him and His words and get to know Him for real.
Not many people do follow Jesus, because Jesus does not follow the expectations and scripts
of men.
As soon as Jesus deviates from their interpretation of the Bible, most believers leave Him and
run after other people of the same mind and same deception, the same church and doctrine;
the blind following the blind, and so they both fall into the ditch.
Are you following Jesus, or are you following some script?
Do you obey His commands as they were recorded in the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?
Have you repented and been baptized in water for the remission of sin?
Have you received the Holy Spirit that Jesus gives to those who obey Him?
Are you following the guidance of the Holy Spirit?
Do you hear the Master's voice and do you follow Him along the path that He leads you?

And the most recent botch, where Bella legitimately concussed Morgan with not one, but two kicks to the face, on this week's Raw, has got WWE fans talking about whether or not Bella should actually still be allowed to wrestle
There's been huge debate to who's actually at fault for it. Some say Brie was absolutely reckless and that she changed the pace of her kicks when Morgan was hurt, and some are claiming Morgan carelessly lowered her head whilst selling the impact, causing Bella to land the knock-out kick

Having retired due to concussion-related injuries, Graves knows more than anyone about how accidents can happen, and the criticism that comes towards the party involved
