Fighter pilots around the world undoubtedly have the coolest job in history- they get
to fly across the sky in the fastest jets ever created, and rule over the air like giant
metal birds of prey.
If you want to fly some of the most technologically advanced aircraft in the world though, you're
going to have to make the move to the United States- but how exactly do you get from nothing
but a dream of soaring through the skies, to piloting the F-22 or F-35?
Hello and welcome to another episode of The Infographics Show- today we're going to take
a look at how to become a US Fighter Pilot.
Though it used to be that enlisted men could become fighter pilots, that practice has long
been out of style and today you're going to have to become an officer in order to fly
the biggest, meanest jets in the world.
That means you'll need at least a four-year degree from an accredited university, and
be at least 18 years old so you can enlist in the US military.
If joining the Air Force you'll have to undergo 12 weeks of officer school at Maxwell Air
Force Base, Alabama, while if you're a seaman you'll have to go to the Navy's Officer Candidate
School in Rhode Island.
For those jarheads out there, you'll be attending Officer Candidate School in Virginia.
But don't think that just because you're training to become an officer whom even the most senior
enlisted men will have to salute that OTS is going to be easy, because it's not.
You'll basically be going back to boot camp, and though you may end up with your officer
pips at the end, you're going to be treated like dirt for the duration.
Once at Officer training school if your dream is to pilot a multi-million dollar airplane,
you'll first need to pass qualifying tests such as the US Navy and Marine Corps Aviation
Selection Test Battery.
These tests ensure that you have the mental skills and knowledge needed to be entrusted
with the most expensive weapons ever created.
Though you can fail, it generally lessens your odds dramatically of getting a billet
as a top fighter jock to do so.
Hey- there's plenty of open spots driving mule trucks, or big, fat cargo planes if you
do though.
Next you'll need to pass all the necessary physical qualifications.
High performance aircraft require high performance people, and when your body is going to be
beaten and battered by the stresses of several G forces, you'd better be in peak physical
condition to have a chance of becoming a fighter pilot.
You'll need to be able to avoid passing out or vomiting when exposed to high G forces,
and your hearing and vision better be laser sharp as well, with uncorrected 20/20 vision.
Next you'll have to agree to the time commitment- Navy and Marine pilots must commit to at least
8 years of active duty, but the Air Force demands a long term minimum commitment of
at least 10 years.
Once you sign that contract, there's no going back- but why would you want to?
Now things get real, and you will start your initial training to become a top ace.
First will be Aviation Preflight Indoctrination, a six week program consisting of 4 weeks of
academic classes and 2 weeks of survival training- you will after all be flying over a variety
of terrains and often over enemy lines.
During your 4 weeks of academic classes you can also expect concurrent water training,
with swimming survival skills that culminate in a 1-mile swim while in a flight suit.
Your classes will include topics such as aerodynamics, weather, and navigation, with an exam given
at the end of each course.
If you fail, that's a wrap for you, and grades are extremely competitive.
Make it past the academic portion though and you'll enter the survival training phase,
during which you'll learn basic land survival, how to use survival equipment, physiology,
and first-aid.
After Aviation Preflight Indoctrination you'll be sent to primary training where you'll get
the chance to start actually flying a plane- but don't think you'll be hopping into the
seat of a multi-million dollar killing machine just yet.
You'll start out on what is known as a 'trainer' aircraft, for the navy that includes aircraft
such as the T-6B Texan II, a propeller driven aircraft that's a far cry from a modern jet.
But you'll learn essential flight skills on these underpowered planes that will prepare
you for the real deal.
During Primary you'll go through yet another series of academic classes, but intermixed
with time spent on flight simulators and actual flight time in your trainer aircraft.
You'll first learn basic flight skills and move into aerobatics, learn about the different
instruments, and how to fly in formation.
As always you'll be graded on absolutely every bit of progress you make, and failure means
you go home.
If you successfully complete Primary you'll be given the chance to fill out a 'dream sheet'
for the type of aircraft you'd like to fly.
Based on your preference, your grades, and needs of the service, you'll get an assignment
and head out for flight training based on the aircraft you've been assigned to.
For a naval aviator wanting to fly fighter jets that will include a transfer to one of
the Navy's two fighter flight schools in either Texas or Mississippi, where you'll learn to
fly the T-45C Goshawk.
Still not a fighter jet, but definitely no prop plane, the Goshawk will introduce you
to the basics of flying advanced jet aircraft.
You'll first undergo Phase 1 training, where you'll undergo much of the same training you
went through in Primary training, but with classes refined for jet aircraft.
While in Primary you may have learned how to fly in formations of two aircraft, here
you'll learn how to fly in formations of four and learn tactical formation flying.
You're now training to be a proper fighter pilot!
Phase 2 however is at last where you'll learn how to fight like a top ace, with training
on combat formation flying and the principles on unguided bombing, low altitude attacks,
and CCIP bombing- or Constantly Computed Impact Point, a system that shows you where your
payload is expected to impact depending on where and when you release it.
The last half of Phase 2 will include Air Combat Maneuvering- or dogfighting- where
you'll learn how to defend the friendly skies or take them from your enemy.
You'll learn flight skills to help you defeat an opponent 1 on 1, or even how to fight and
win against two separate attackers simultaneously.
If you're wanting to be a naval aviator you'll then head over for Carrier Qualifications-
one of the hardest flight training programs in the world.
Landing on a fast-moving carrier in the middle of the night amidst a pitching sea has often
been described as the "most terrifying" experience any pilot can undergo, but you'll
learn how to do just that.
Upon completion, or for non-Navy/USMC pilots, you'll then go to advanced training in the
jet you'll ultimately fly.
Depending on the airframe this can include air-to-ground bombing, the practice and use
of smart weapons, and advanced dogfighting tactics.
At the end of your training you'll be pitted up against your instructors with a chance
to get revenge on all the hell you've been put through as you engage in mock battle.
Becoming a US fighter pilot is a long, arduous task, with training courses developed from
decades of experience flying combat missions over unfriendly skies all around the world.
Though many will initially apply, few will ultimately receive their wings- and in fact
qualifications are so strict, that the Air Force currently has only 75% of the pilots
it needs!
That means there's room for you if you think you got what it takes to fly the most advanced
aircraft ever built!
What do you think would be the hardest part of training- the physical side or the academics?
Think you got what it takes to be a top ace?

ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals | Post-match vs Mousesports with coldzera - Duration: 0:57.
Hey everyone, coldzera here! We just played against mousesports
we played train and inferno
third map was going to be mirage
our map veto was really good, we knew they were going to pick train
we constantly beat them on dust2 and mirage
so they were afraid to play these two maps against us
we studied them really well
we knew they would pick train so we were well prepared for our match
Inferno was a very clean map, they don't play it that well
they always ban it against us
we took advantage that they didn't ban it this time around since they were afraid of the other two maps
so we picked it. We're now qualified for the semifinal
we're facing the winner of Liquid vs Ghost or Navi
Keep supporting us, thank you!

What is Flipkart? | CNBC Explains - Duration: 5:06.
Flipkart is India's Amazon. It's the country's largest online retailer.
In 2018 retail giant Walmart announced its intention to acquire a controlling stake in the company
for $16 billion, making this the largest e-commerce acquisition, ever.
Flipkart was founded here in Bangalore in 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal,
two Indian software engineers, that happen to share the same surname.
They both worked for Amazon in the U.S. before returning to India to start their company.
Like Amazon, Flipkart began as an online bookstore.
In its first full year of business, it delivered nearly three and half thousand shipments of books.
Now its website has 10 million page visits a day and sells more than 80 different categories of goods,
which includes everything from food processors to yoga mats.
This expansion has been supported by the company's own digital ecosystem.
In 2009 it founded Ekart, its in-house supply chain arm.
Ekart is now India's largest logistics company delivering 10 million shipments a month for Flipkart,
as well as independent brands and sellers.
It also owns PhonePe, an app the company acquired in 2016,
which helps facilitate electronic payments throughout the country.
In addition, Flipkart's purchase of two of India's leading online fashion retailers,
Myntra and Jabong ensured the company remained the leading player in India's online retail industry.
Flipkart's strong position in the market attracted $1.4 billion of investment in 2017 from
The Indian e-commerce market as a whole is set to quadruple to $200 billion in the next eight years,
and by 2034 it's predicted to surpass the U.S. as the second largest e-commerce market in the world.
The predicted growth in e-commerce has increased competition between the big online retailers.
Amazon has been taking on Flipkart in its own backyard.
Both have been offering massive sales and discounts
pegged to Indian festivals as they battle it out for more customers.
While Amazon's size and profitable cloud computing service allows it to absorb these costs,
Flipkart has suffered losses in its struggle to compete.
However, the Flipkart Group as a whole still has the largest share of the market
and remains the e-commerce leader in India.
Walmart's online sales, however, account for just a little more than three and a half percent
of its business in the U.S. Acquiring Flipkart gives them a considerable foothold in the sector.
Yet when news of the deal broke, the American retailer's shares tumbled four percent
with investors concerned that the company had a long way to go before becoming profitable.
The acquisition of a loss- making business also cut
Walmart's profits at the end of 2018 and its earnings outlook for 2019.
The company also warned that e-commerce growth would be slower next year.
For Flipkart, Walmart's investment is seen by many as a major boost to the company's logistical operations.
It will also help it move into new areas like online groceries.
Water, please.
Along with a strong food supply chain, Walmart's financial support
will also help Flipkart keep prices low in its battle with Amazon.
Several key investors have exited the company,
including co-founder Sachin Bansal, and they leave with hefty profits.
Venture capital firms Accel and Tiger Global invested when Flipkart was valued at just $50 million.
They have now pocketed more than 400 times what they invested and still retain some shares.
Softbank is also a big beneficiary of the deal.
Its Vision Fund invested $2.5 billion in 2017 and in just over 12 months
the Japanese company sold its 20% stake for $4 billion.
Co-founder Binny Bansal had planned to stay on as the company's chief executive
but resigned after an internal investigation into serious personal misconduct
following an accusation of sexual assault.
He still owns 4.2% of the company and remains a director on the board.
Amid the controversy Walmart increased its stake in the $20 billion company from 77 percent to 81.3 percent,
offering another sign of its support of an online retail market that is still small by global standards.
The value and sale of Flipkart to a major corporation like Walmart will likely encourage investors
to see India's e-commerce market as an area of growth.
Already the Indian startup Ola is competing fiercely with Uber in the taxi aggregation market
and both have Softbank as a major shareholder.
As the world's major tech companies focus more of their attention on India,
Flipkart may be the first of many start-up success stories emerging from the growing e-commerce space.

Quais são os tipos de músicas mais populares no JAPÃO e no BRASIL? | Vivs Responde #5 • VivianUru - Duration: 4:59.
Hey guys, genki?
This is Vivian from vivian uru channel and welcome! ^^
Today we are going to do another Ask Vivs!
YAY!
Today's question is from our friend Arthur Cruz kun who asked this question:
"If there will be more videos of differences of Brazil & Japan,,
I'd like to know the differences between Brazilian and Japanese music.
What kind of rhythms are popular over there?"
If you haven't watched the 5 differences video that Arthur kun mentioned,,
the link will be on the description box and cards, okay?
A big kiss to Arthur kun,
thank you so much for your question and for always helping me on Amino sharing my work!
If you also could help me by subscribing to the channel,
giving this video a thumb up, commenting here or sharing the videos,,
I'd thank you for the bottom of my heart!
Many people tell me this channel has a future and deserves to have more subscribers
but I need you all to make it happen,
so, I'm counting on each one of you doing whatever you can to help, okay?
Are you ready to know the answer? Here comes the intro!
Well, on my 1st Q&A video,,
HBTN Games made a similar question asking:
"What kind of music is popular in Japan?"
I'll leave the link of this video in the description box and cards in case you want to check the other questions too.
But answering Arthur kun,,
Brazilian and Japanese are different indeed,,
In my opinion, the biggest difference is that when it comes to Brazilian music,, no matter what genre it is,,
the rhythm is more dancing than the Japanese music and more sensual too.
If you just look at how the people dance,, you can notice the difference of rhythms.
In Japan,, not only the tradicional but also the contemporary dances,,
you can see many dances where the moves are more focused on the hands. Like this.
As for Brazil,, it's usually the hip and feet.
Talking now about the most popular rhythms,,
Which is the most popular music genre in Brazil and Japan in your opinion?
According to the research of the site Cultura nas Capitais,,
the music genres that Brazilian people listen to the most are:
1. Sertanejo (similar to country) = 37%
2. MPB (Brazilian popular music) = 27%,
3. Gospel = 21%,
5. Rock = 20%,
Pagode and Pop got the 5th place with 17% each.
Funk, Rap and Sertanejo are the most popular genres among young people.
While other genres, Sertanejo and MPB are the most popular among the elderly people.
The albums that sold the most in Brazil in 2016 were:
1st. Sambas de Enredo - Escolas de Samba,
2nd. 1977 - Luan Santana,
3rd. Cabaré Night Club - Leonardo & Eduardo Costa,
4th. Como Sempre Feito Nunca - Jorge & Mateus
And 5th. Deus no Esconderijo do Verso ao vivo - Priest Fábio de Melo.
As for Japan,, according to the polls of the site Nifty,,
the genres that shinned were:
1. J-Pop = 42,6%,
2. Kayoukyoku (Japanese classic pop of the Shouwa era) = 34,6%,
3. Classic music = 31,8%,
4. Jazz = 22,4%,
and the 5th place was Rock with 21,3%.
Young Japanese people enjoy to listen to J-Pop, J-Rock and Anime music,,
while the elderly loves to listen to Kayoukyoku, Classic music and Jazz.
The albums that sold the most in Japan last year were:
1st. Finally - Amuro Namie,
2nd. Smap 25 Years - Smap,
3rd. 『untitled』- Arashi,
4th. Thumbnail - AKB48,
and the 5th place was the album Encore - Back Number.
Except Back Number that is J-Rock,, all the other artists are J-Pop and 3 of them are boy bands or idols groups!
Both Brazilian and Japanese people tend to listen to national music.
But how about you? Which genre of music do you enjoy to listen to the most?
Let me know in the comment section! ^^
That's all for today's video!
Thank you so much for watching and I hope to see you on the next video, okay? ;D
Big kisses and mata ne~! <3

BASEBALL INFIELD TIPS: How To Make The Perfect Throw On The Run! - Duration: 4:52.
What's up guys, Coach Madden, YouGoProBaseball.com and I'm here with Nick Shaw from The Baseball
Box.
If you don't know about The Baseball Box check down below.
I'll put a link down there for you.
And he's going to talk about making throws on the run.
You know we hear all the time "you've got to set your feet to make the throw" but guess
what, there are a few plays where we can't really set our feet, we've got to get rid
of the ball quick and Nick's got some great tips for us.
What do you got?
That's right.
Almost one time a game, at least one time a game you're going to see a chopper in the
infield where the infielder has to come in and throw on the run.
In a perfect world we want to set our feet, make a good throw but sometimes the ball doesn't
dictate that.
So we're going to talk about that a little bit.
First things first, speed of the hop, or speed of the ball, if there's a big hop I want to
come get it if it's above my waist, two hand catch, making my throw.
If it's below my waist, one hand catch, bringing it in together, and then making the throw.
We're determining that on our approach to the ball.
If I have the ability to get my right shoulder around the ball and get my momentum starting
to head towards first base, I want to do that.
Again, that's dictated by the ball.
What I mean by that is, instead of charging the ball with my shoulders square to the plate,
I want to try to get around the ball and catch it this way to get my right shoulder headed
towards first base, create my momentum that way.
Because remember, every time I have the ball and I'm on the run, the ball is moving, the
ball is moving with me.
So the ball is moving away from first base if I take that ball straight on, it's moving
this way.
If I can create my momentum and have the ball with me, the ball is now moving in a direction
towards first base.
That's important because as soon as I go to throw this ball, not only am I moving, but
the ball is moving as well, which means my throw is going to go that way.
It's going to tail up the line.
Which brings me to where we are aiming.
If I'm throwing on the run, I've got to keep that in mind, the ball is going to tail with
me so my target is outside of my first baseman, to the left of my first baseman.
I used to aim about five feet to the left of the first baseman when I'm throwing on
the run.
So on approach, trying to get my shoulders around the ball, make my one handed or two
handed catch, staying compact, that's the next step, with my front shoulder.
I don't want to fly open because now I'm losing velocity, this isn't a strong position and
the ball is going to run and sink with me.
So getting around the ball, making my proper catch, keeping tight with my front shoulder,
bringing my glove to my chest, making a throw.
We're not throwing off of our left, we're throwing off of our right foot here.
So glove to the chest, making our throw off of our right foot, keeping in mind that we
are running and we don't have the ability to throw over the top anymore.
But we don't want to get under 90 degrees, we don't want to get under 90 degrees.
We want to keep our arm about 90 degrees, throwing this way to our target, keeping in
mind the ball is going to run with us, to hit my first baseman in the chest.
Now, one question, when you're coming through, let's say you can't get fully around that
ball which sometimes happens and you're not creating that momentum towards first base,
or maybe you are, what is the after throw like?
Do you peel off away from where you're throwing or do you try to go towards where you're throwing,
are you continuing your momentum through the ball where you fielded it?
How does that work?
Or is it different?
So I always wanted to keep my my momentum towards first or as close as I can.
I don't want to fall off my throw because the ball is going to move with me.
If I don't stay through that throw, I fall off the throw, my velocity is decreasing,
and the ball is now going to run more.
If I can't get my right shoulder around the ball for a short stop, say there's a chopper
between you and the third baseman, sometimes I can't get around that ball, but you have
to keep in mind that I'm going to have less velocity and the ball is going to run even
more.
So now instead of five feet, maybe I'm aiming out ten feet and the ball is going to sink
with you on this because I don't have much velocity so I'm aiming a little bit higher
that way the ball is going to run right to my first baseman.
Now, let me ask you this, when you are fielding that ball and you come to go throw are you,
your footsteps as you go to throw, are you going to have a little bit of a, almost like
a mini jump in there as you do it?
Or is it going to just be a continued step?
Or how does that work?
At the very end you're going to have a little tiny hop that way you can time it right.
Based on your footwork coming to the ball and how the ball is bouncing, maybe that hop
gets a little bigger but the last step on to your right leg is going to be a little
adjusted that way you're on time with your arm and your body.
Awesome.
Awesome stuff.
Thank you so much.

Natalia y Alba Part 45 - Albalia - Duration: 14:55.
Alba: I'm f*cking fed up.
[GOOD MORNING!]
[I'm not ready to watch this performance again]
[Not ready for this one, either]
[They couldn't stop looking at Nat. They're the biggest fans]
Nat: The base is so freaking cool, huh?
[They're talking about what performances they would do again. Alba says La Llorona.]
Alba: I wouldn't know which one... Toxic maybe, too. [They can repeat that one all the times they want, I don't mind]
[Nat puts on half the bottle of perfume and Alba almost dies suffocated]
*Each step you take, it also makes me win*
[Alba's look at Nat, the two times she sings and passes by, it's to die for]
[Nat waiting for Alba, to go out together]
Alba: I'm going to watch Nat's video, making the bed. It cheers me up.
[She's excited like a little girl with a new toy] Alba: Look at this, please.
Alba: It's a video... I mean, I find it really funny.
Alba: 'And now how do I get out?'
Alba: I mean... this moment she turns around...
Alba: I love it. I love to watch it, it cheers me up.
[This is the famous vid]
Nat: Okay, my problems begin.
Alba: Week 11.
Alba: Natalia, how are you doing? Nat: Look, better than the other day.
Nat: Fuck. And now how do I get out?
Nat: But I'm all the way inside. Alba: I know. That's why.
Alba: This scene is so funny.
Teacher: Who are you going to try and point? Nat: Alba, who had it very easy.
Alba: Are you comfortable, Nat? Nat: Yes.
[So simple...]
Nat: Ay, Albita, I don't want to kill you. Alba: No, you aren't going to kill me.
Nat: Is it too hard? It is, right? Alba: Just a bit.
Nat: Hold on. When you say, I get off.
Alba: I can, I can.
Teacher: How are you? Alba: Super.
Miki: Excuse me, Albalia. Can you give me back my mat?
Alba: Natalia, please, get off.
[They are two babies!]
Alba: We are never going to join a yoga class, okay?
[They were doing an exercise in Vocal Technique and Nat chose the song Alba and Marta sang]
[Albi laughs]
Nat: What are you laughing at? Alba: You.
Nat: Thank you.
Alba: I was laughing at your little face. Nat: Bitch.
[Alba taking advantage to caress Nat]
Alba: Hello. Nat: Hello, my love.
Nat: I have a mustache...
Alba: [Argentinian accent] Why do you say that? Why do you say that stupid?
Alba: I hear steps and I know who's coming. [Nat laughs]
[Alba tells Nat that for next Gala she is going to choose 'She used to be mine'. Nat's reaction is the fandom's] Nat: Yes, please!! Yes, Alba! Very good, perfect.
Alba: Of course, that's it Alba, it's time to sing that song.
[Nat in the background singing She used to be mine. I missed that.]
Nat: Buah, I like Alba's very much.
[How cute are they]
[Let's bring Marta back]
[TWINS]
[Nat comes back from wardrobe] Alba: No comment...
[Alba looks at her thoroughly]
Nat: Do you like it? Alba: So much, you look amazing.
Alba: I'm getting so sleepy.
Nat: Your makeup is so cool. [Her stare lingers]
[GIRLFRIENDS]
Nat: Hey, this makes my butt look good, doesn't it? I'm obsessed. Sabela: You have a good butt, it doesn't do anything.
Nat: I'm proud of my butt. [Nat looks at Albi and she shakes her head]
Nat: Sorry, I'll shut up now. That's it. I won't way it again. [She says after looking at Albi]
Alba: You're so silly...
[Alba gives Nat food] Nat: I love you, Alba. Alba: Me too.
Alba: Can somebody zip me up, please? [And Nat goes to help her, even though they don't show it]
[Here you can see it's Nat who helps her]
[QUEENS]
Famous: Albalia is real! Julia: Albalia is real!
Nat: Ay, that's horrible. [Really what Nat wanted to be close]
[And she asks for another pic]
[Well, I'm here waiting for that photo...]
[No rush, I'll wait]
[Those three, straight to the final]
Julia: You go in the backseat. [Can Julia be our captain now?]
[She has every chance. And this week they sing together, let's see what happens]
[Links in the description]
[Look how happy they are]
[Right in front of Miki's salad, yes]
[How happy Alba was because Nat was the first finalist]
[On their own]
Alba: You go, hon!
[The Swedish girl's cover. Tomorrow we'll see what happened with this. BTW, she sings amazingly]
[I understand Alba is asking, 'where is she from?']
[Can she stop being perfect? Really. Is there something she is bad at? Well, subtlety.]
[Alba's IG: This woman]
[With the video]
[What a woman...]
[We haven't fully realized that we'll have it in studio version and maybe also on the tour]
[Are you ready for the moment that's coming?]
[Sorry, that wasn't it]
[Here it goes!]
[Let's start with their hands]
[First, it's Nat who holds her and then Alba puts hers on Nat's face]
[And how long the kiss is. Because I thought it was just a peck, but no...]
[But it's just a play, huh, a play!]
[A play, my ass. Watch those faces after the kiss]
[And how they hold each other]
[And the sound... That's not a peck]
[And this was the big moment]
[And from my point of view, Nat wasn't expecting it, because she doesn't react and she doesn't speak any more]
Alba: Ala, everyone pregnant!

Why Christmas is So Important for Churches - Duration: 3:28.
Hi, my name is Stephanie and today I wanted to talk to you about why
Christmas is such an important time for churches to connect to people. Most
people are excited for Christmas. They probably put up their decorations
on our before Thanksgiving. So many people sit in lines for great
deals on Christmas gifts and they're kind of spreading that Christmas cheer
at this time. It's this time in America where we emphasize giving and being kind.
People talk about Christmas miracles, being in awe when things work out even
when it seems like it just couldn't. This is also the time of the year where
people who rarely go to church actually go. It's like they want to take this time
to do good and be good, which many people consider going to a church as being "good."
The time around Christmas is so important because people are the most
open to the idea. See, they want to, maybe, do good, which some people associate with
church, and people can be less pessimistic about things going right in
their life or about God. They're more willing to lay down their limited
beliefs for a Christmas miracle. If churches can make a real connection
with people who may tend to be fleeting, they may be able to get them to come
back and to actually start a real walk with Jesus Christ. See, they might come
for the free gift and the nice little nativity scene, but if you can introduce
them to Jesus, who is much more than the baby laying in the straw, their lives
could be changed forever. People who only show up to church twice a year may start
taking steps to take their relationship with God more seriously. People who only
go to these events because it's festive can discover why love and joy even
exists in the first place. So, to the churches: be genuine. Sure, show your love
and your compassion, but show them that Jesus is genuine. He's not some mythical
fun little thing that we do like Santa Claus during the holidays
in December. He is real, and a relationship with Him is life changing.
Show them that that is more genuine- the only thing that is really real that they
are going to encounter this entire season. Talk to people on a personal
level. Engage them. Follow up with them. But most importantly, let the Holy Spirit
lead you in every single thing that you do. Thank you so much for watching. I hope
you enjoyed this video. If you did, go ahead and give it a thumbs up and let me

WP681249 - Replacing Your Maytag Fridge's Ice Maker Screw - AP6010560, PS11743743 - Duration: 2:22.
Hi my name is Bill, and today I want to be showing you how to replace the ice
maker screw in your fridge. The reason why you might have to do this because it
was broken, damaged, or missing. For this repair, all you'll need is a
Phillips head screwdriver.
Warning: Before doing any repairs, please disconnect your power source.
So this is the fridge we're going to be using for our demonstration.
It's a Maytag, keep in mind yours might
be a little bit different at home than what we have here, but the same
techniques should still apply.
So the first thing we're going to do is open up
our freezer door here, and now what we have to do is take the ice maker front
cover off here. And all we have to do is just grab it on one side and pull it
straight off, and as you can see here it looks like there are supposed to be three
screws. However, one is missing. So grab your new OEM replacement screw, and if
you don't have one already you can find it on our online store.
And now we can
put the screw into place and screw it in with our Phillips head
screwdriver. And once you got it in there, screwed nice and tight, you grab the
front cover again and then just push that on until it snaps into place, and
then you can close your freezer door, and your repair is complete.
So I accidentally swallowed some food coloring the other day. I went to the
doctor, they said I'm fine but I feel like I'm dying a little inside.
Finally, don't forget to plug in your appliance.
If you need to replace any parts for your appliances you can find an OEM replacement part on our website
pcappliancerepair.com
Thanks for watching, and please don't forget to like,
comment, and share our video. Also don't forget to subscribe to our channel.

Easy Swan Crochet Tutorial - Beginner Crochet Tutorial - Duration: 58:51.
Hello everyone, thank you for joining me, I'm Kerri. Today I'll be showing you how
to crochet this swan. When it's crocheted in 8 ply, the size is 13
centimeters by 11.5 centimeters, or 5 inches by 4.5
inches. The small swan crocheted in 4 ply crochet cotton is 9
centimeters by 7.5 centimeters, or 3.5 inches
by 3 inches.
I'll be using 8 ply wool, which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the
UK. I've got white for my main color and orange and black for the beak. I've got a
2.5 millimeter crochet hook. I've got black and white sewing thread and a
sewing needle to stitch it together. I've got a darning needle to weave in my ends.
I've got scissors and I've got a black bead for the eye, but you could embroider
it on if you'd prefer. Now I'll start on the body which is this
bit right at the back behind the wing and the head and neck. I start with a magic
loop. So I put my hook on my yarn and bring the short end over the hook and
then take my long end over the short end to make a circle. Put my yarn around the
hook and take the hook and yarn through the circle and there's my magic loop. And
then I work 1 chain. Into my circle I work 3 half double crochet. A half
double crochet is called a half treble in the UK. For a half double crochet
I put my yarn around the hook. Hook in through the circle from the front and
bring back a loop. Yarn around the hook and take hook and yarn through all the
loops. So yarn around the hook, hook in to the circle through the front and bring
back a loop. Yarn around the hook and take hook and yarn through all the loops
and I need 1 more. So I've got my 3 half double crochet. Next I work 3
treble into my circle. A treble is called a double treble in the UK. For a treble
we put our yarn around the hook twice. Put our hook in through the circle and
bring back a loop. Yarn around the hook take it through 2
loops. Yarn around the hook, take it through the next 2 loops and yarn
around the hook and take it through the last 2 loops, and that's the treble. We
need 2 more.
Now we work 6 half double crochet into our circle.
Then we work 3 more treble.
And then 3 half double crochet
and then we pull our circle tight. So we take hold of the tail and just ease the
circle in. For this circle it doesn't matter if it's not really tight because
it will be hidden behind the wing. And then we slip stitch in the top of the
first stitch, so this stitch here just above the first chain. For a slip stitch
we put our hook into the stitch and bring a loop through the stitch and
through the loop on our hook and that's row 1 done. For row 2 we start with
1 chain and work 1 half double crochet in the same stitch as the chain. A
half double crochet into the next stitch and 2 half double crochet into the
following stitch.
Now we work 2 treble into each of the next 3 stitches. So 2 treble into
each of the next 3 stitches.
Into the next stitch we work 2 half double crochet
and then 1 half double crochet into each of the next 4 stitches. 2 half
double crochet into the following stitch
and then 2 treble into each of the next 3 stitches.
2 half double crochet into the next stitch and 1 half double crochet into
each remaining stitch and slip stitch into the top of the first stitch. For
row 3 we start with 2 chain and we work 1 double crochet into the same
stitch as the chain. A double crochet is called a treble in the UK. For a double
crochet we put our yarn around the hook. Hook into the stitch and bring up a loop.
Yarn around the hook take it through 2 loops. Yarn around the hook and take it
through the next 2 loops and then we need 1 double crochet into each of the
next 4 stitches.
And then we work 2 double crochet into each of the following 5 stitches. So
2 double crochet into each of the following 5 stitches.
Now we work 1 double crochet into each of the next 8 stitches.
Now we work 2 double crochet into each of the next 5 stitches.
And then 1 double crochet into each stitch to the end.
And then slip stitch into the top of the first stitch and that's the first 3
rows done. Now for row 4 I start with 2 chain and work 1 double crochet in
the same stitch as the chain. Then work 1 double crochet into each of the
following 2 stitches
and 2 double crochet into the next stitch.
Next we work 1 double crochet into the next stitch and 2 double crochet into
the following stitch, 6 times. That was 1 double crochet into the next stitch
and 2 double crochet into the following stitch, 6 times. To make it
easier I count to 18. I work 18 double crochet and every third 1 is worked
into the same stitch as the last. So I'll start my 1 double crochet into the next
and 2 into the following stitch, 6 times.
I've worked that 6 times. Next I work 1 double crochet into each
of the next 2 stitches and 2 double crochet into the following stitch, 2
times. So 1 double crochet into each of the next 2 stitches and 2 double
crochet into the following stitch, 2 times.
Now we work 1 double crochet into the
next stitch and 2 double crochet into the following stitch, 6 times. So we're
working around this corner the same as the bottom corner. So 1 double crochet
into the next stitch and 2 into the following stitch, 6 times.
And then we work 1 double crochet into each of the next 2 stitches. 2 double
crochet into the following stitch and 1 double crochet into any remaining
stitches and slip stitch into the top of the first stitch. For row 5 we start with
1 chain and then we work 1 single crochet into each of the next 8
stitches. A single crochet is called a double crochet in the UK. For a single
crochet we put our yarn, our hook into it the next stitch and bring up a loop. Yarn
around the hook and take our hook and yarn through both loops. So hook into the next
stitch, bring up a loop, yarn around the hook and take our hook and yarn through
both our loops. I've worked 2, I need 6 more.
Into our next stitch we work 2 half double crochet.
Into the following stitch we work 2 double crochet
and then we work 2 treble into the next stitch. For the treble we put our yarn
around our hook twice.
Next we work 1 double treble into each of the following 3 stitches. A
double treble is called a triple treble in the UK. For a double treble we put our
yarn around the hook 3 times. Hook into the stitch and bring through a loop.
Yarn around the hook take it through 2 loops. Yarn around the hook take it
through 2 more loops. Yarn around the hook take it through 2 more and then
yarn around the hook and through the last 2. So yarn around the hook 3
times to start with. We need 2 more double treble.
Into the next stitch we work 2 treble
and then we work 2 double crochet into the following stitch.
And then 2 half double crochet into the next stitch and then we work 1 single
crochet into each stitch to the end of the row.
At the end of the row we slip stitch into the top of the first stitch and
fasten off.
And that's the body done. For the wing, this part here, we start with a magic
loop and work 3 chain and 1 double crochet into our circle. We pull the
circle tight. For row 2 we start with 3 chain and we turn our work over and we
work 2 double crochet into the stitch there
and 1 double crochet into the top of the chain, just in there, at the
top of the 3 chain. For row 3 we start with 3 chain and turn our work.
We work 1 double crochet into each stitch. We had 3 stitches and 2
double crochet into the top of the chain.
For row 4 we start with 3 chain.
We turn our work and work 2 double crochet into the first stitch.
1 double crochet into each stitch
and 1 double crochet into the top of the chain.
For row 5 we start with 3 chain and work 1 double crochet into each stitch
and 2 double crochet into the top of the chain.
For row 6 we start with 3 chain and turn and we work 1 double crochet
into each stitch to the end.
Now we've finished all our increasing, we're now going to start the decreasing,
for heading down towards the bottom. For row 7 we start with 3 chain. We're going to
work a joined double crochet over the first 2 stitches. For a joined double
crochet we put our yarn around the hook. Hook into the first stitch and bring up
a loop. Yarn around the hook and take our hook and yarn through 2 loops. Then we
put our yarn around the hook. Our hook into the next stitch and bring through a loop.
Yarn around the hook and take it through the first 2 loops. Yarn around the hook,
we have 3 loops left and we take our hook and yarn through the remaining
3 loops. And we have a joined stitch, that's a joined double crochet. Now we're
going to work 1 double crochet into each stitch to the last 2 stitches.
Now I've got my 2 stitches left and I'm going to work a joined double crochet
over the last 2 stitches. So yarn around the hook, hook into the first
stitch and bring through a loop. Yarn around the hook and take it through 2
loops. Yarn around the hook, hook into the next stitch and bring up a loop. Yarn
around the hook take it through 2, stitches, 2 loops and yarn around the
hook and take it through the remaining loops. Now for rows 8 to 11
are worked the same. We start with 3 chain and turn and we work a
joined double crochet over the first 2 stitches and 1 double crochet into
each stitch to the end.
Now that was row 8. Row 9 we start with 3 chain and turn. We work a joined double
crochet over the first 2 stitches and
1 double crochet into each stitch to the end.
And rows 10 and 11 are worked the same. 3 chain and turn, a joined double crochet
over the first 2 stitches.
1 double crochet in each stitch to the end.
And row 11, 3 chain and turn. A joined double crochet over the first 2
stitches and 1 double crochet in each stitch to the end. For row 12 we
start with 3 chain and turn and work a double crochet cluster over all the
stitches. A double crochet cluster is called a treble cluster in the UK. For a
double crochet cluster we put our yarn around the hook. Our hook into the first
stitch and bring through a loop. Yarn around the hook and take our hook and
yarn through 2 loops and then our yarn around the hook. Hook into the next
stitch and bring through a loop. Yarn around the hook and take our hook and
yarn through the next 2 loops. We've got 3 loops left, yarn around the
hook, hook into the next stitch and bring through a loop. Yarn around the hook take
our hook and yarn through 2 loops. We've got 4 loops left, yarn around
the hook and take our hook and yarn through the remaining loops. And there's
the wing. now I'm going to turn it over and do a neatening row. For the neatening
row I start with 1 chain and I'm going to work 1 single crochet into each
stitch up to the tip of my wing. So just find a suitable place to put your hook
into and work your single crochet, not too far from the edge.
It just gives it a better finish if you work a single crochet or a slip
stitch around the outside. So I'll continue working my single crochet into
each stitch up to the corner and I'll meet you up at the corner. Now to make a
better point on the end of my wing I slip stitch into the end of the wing, the
point. I work 2 chain and then slip stitch into that same stitch and then I
continue working a single crochet into each stitch around the rest of the wing.
I'm just crocheting in the tail so I hold it against my work and crochet
over the top of it.
So I'll continue down to the end of the wing and I'll meet you there. At the
end of the row slip stitch in the top of the first stitch and fasten off. And
there's the wing done. For the head and neck, we're going to start at the head. We
make a magic loop and we start with 2 chain and work 10 double crochet into
our circle.
We pull the circle tight
and slip stitch in the top of the first stitch. And that's the head part done. We'll
start on the neck now. We start with 3 chain and work 1 double crochet
in the same stitch as the chain and 1 double crochet into the next stitch. For
row 3 we start with 3 chain and turn our work and work 1 double
crochet into the first stitch and then we're going to work a joined double
crochet over the same stitch as our first double crochet, so in that first
stitch there and the last stitch,
so we've got 2 stitches. For row 4 we start with 3 chain and we're going to work
a joined double crochet over both our stitches.
For row 5 we start with 3 chain and turn and we work 2 double crochet into our
stitch.
For row 6 we start with 3 chain and turn and we work 1 double crochet into
each of our 2 stitches. And for row 7 we start with 3 chain and work a
double crochet into each of our 2 stitches.
For row 8 we start with 3 chain. We work a joined double crochet over both
stitches and then 1 double crochet in the last stitch, the same stitch as
the last part of our joined double crochet, so just in there. For row 9 we start with 3
chain and work 2 double crochet into the first stitch
and 1 double crochet in the next stitch. For row 10 we start with 3
chain and turn. We work 2 double crochet into the
first stitch.
1 double crochet into the next stitch and 2 double crochet in the last
stitch.
For row 11 we start with 3 chain and turn. We work 1 double crochet into
each stitch to the last stitch and work 2 double crochet into the last stitch.
I'm working my 2 double crochet into the last stitch. For row 12 we start with
3 chain and turn and we work 2 double crochet into the first stitch and
1 double crochet into each stitch to the end.
For row 13 we start with 3 chain and turn. We work 1 double crochet into each
stitch to the last stitch.
And work 3 double crochet into the last stitch.
For row 14 we start with 3 chain and turn. We work 3 double crochet into
the first stitch.
1 double crochet into each of the next 2 stitches.
1 treble into each of the following 3 stitches. For a treble we put our
yarn around our hook twice at the beginning.
So a treble into each of the following 3 stitches. 1 double crochet into
the next stitch and we're going to work a joined half double crochet over the
last 2 stitches. For a joined half double crochet we put
our yarn around the hook, hook into the stitch and bring through a loop. Yarn
around the hook, hook into the last stitch and bring through a loop. Yarn
around the hook and take it through all the loops. And that's the head and neck
done except for a neatening row. Now we're not going to work single crochet around
the neck, it will make it thicker and I'd rather the swans neck wasn't too thick.
So I'm going to work a slip stitch into each stitch up to this row here where
it's fairly narrow and then I'm going to do some joined slip stitches just to bring
it in a bit. So for a slip stitch we put our hook into the stitch and bring
through a loop and take it straight through the loop on the hook. So hook
into the loop, bring, into the stitch, bring through a loop and take the hook
and loop through the loop on the hook. So we'll work slip stitches up until our
neck gets fairly narrow.
Now my, the neck is getting quite narrow now. I'm going to do 2 or 3 joined
slip stitches. For a joined slip stitch I
bring a loop through and then I've got a loop on my hook. Then I go into the
next stitch and bring a loop through and then just take it through the 2 loops
on my hook and that will just make the neck bend in a little bit and I'll do
another 1. I'll be working 3 joined slip stitches. And the neck is just going to
bend a little bit. And now I continue around working a slip stitch into each
stitch up around the head and then down but I'll fasten off before I get to this
end bit, so just in the corner there. So I'll work around the head and I'll be
back when I get close to the corner. Now when I get close to the end I'll just
slip stitch, probably into the the second last chain and fasten off.
And there's the the head and neck done. Now for the beak, with my orange I start
with 9 chain.
I work a single crochet in the second chain from the hook. 2 double crochet
into the next stitch.
1 half double crochet into each of the following 2 stitches.
1 single crochet into each of the next 2 stitches and a slip stitch into
each of the last 2 stitches. And
that's one side of the beak done. Now we're going to work down the back of the
beak into the back loops of the chain. We miss the first 1 and work a slip
stitch in the second 1 and then into the following 2 stitches we work 1
single crochet and then work 1 half double crochet into each of the next 2.
And, 2 double crochet into the back of the next chain and we work a
single crochet into the last stitch and fasten off.
And that's the beak done. Now we're going to join our black into the top of the
second double crochet, so this stitch here.
Now we work 1 single crochet into the next stitch, that's the top of the single
crochet, your last single crochet of the beak. And then into this middle stitch
here we're going to work a half double crochet, a double crochet and a half
double crochet. So a half double crochet, a double crochet and a half double
crochet and then work a single crochet into the next stitch and then slip
stitch into the top of the following stitch and fasten off and that's the
beak done. I'll just weave in my ends and I'll be
back and we'll put it together. Now here's all my pieces. The first things
I'll do is attach the wing, just in like that. It just goes slightly over the top
with this curvy part nearly up against the edge and just make sure the bottom
doesn't go further than the bottom. I'll attach a black bead in the center of the
circle for the eye and I'll also put a little black spot on the beak, just that
little spot there and I'll be back. Now next I attach the beak to the head. The
pointy bit at the end of the beak goes up
against the eye and the black bits go to the edge of the head, so just in
like that. The last thing I do is attach the neck part to the body.
It just goes even with the edge and the body slopes back and the head sticks
over the edge and the neck just bends in a bit. So I'll stitch that on and I'll be
back to show you the finished swan. And there's the finished swan. If you liked my

How To Become A US Fighter Jet Pilot - Duration: 7:44.

Mistakes You're Making With Your Christmas Cookies - Duration: 3:53.
Christmas cookies sure are wonderful, but there are a lot of pitfalls and it's disappointing
when your cookies don't turn out the way you planned.
Here are some of the common mistakes just about everyone makes with Christmas cookies.
Avoid kicking off any cookie-baking session until you've first assessed the time needed
to complete the project from start to finish.
Start by searching through trusted recipes to decide on the type of cookie you want to
make and how much time you're willing to spend in the process.
Read the recipe carefully and note how the time is allotted.
"Oh!
These cookies!
I got to get the recipe from Liz."
Some cookie recipes don't let you take a break from starting to getting the cookies in the
oven.
Other recipes might require breaks like overnight chilling or lengthy cooling time.
Many drop cookies will require only the time it takes mix up the dough, spoon mounds onto
cookie sheets, and bake and cool the cookies.
Rolled-out cookies, such as classic sugar cookies, require the dough to be chilled before
rolling out and often require that cut-out cookies be chilled again before baking.
It's a common mistake to use salted butter in a cookie recipe.
In most cases, it won't mean the complete ruin of the cookie, but using salted butter
instead of unsalted butter can affect cookie flavor.
According to Joy the Baker, unless the recipe indicates otherwise, you should use unsalted
butter to make cookie dough.
Salt is a preservative and can mask freshness in butter.
As a rule of thumb, unsalted butter will last about one month in the fridge and salted butter
can last for three months.
If you must go with salted butter, taste and smell it before using to make sure it hasn't
become rancid.
"I can't even make a stupid cookie."
If you must use salted butter, reduce the salt that's called for in the recipe by half.
Baking relies on precision.
Cookies can be somewhat forgiving compared to cakes and other pastries, but they can
easily be ruined.
Measuring improperly is one way to end up in trouble.
If possible, use a scale to measure ingredients.
Weighing is extremely accurate, but properly using measuring cups and spoons will also
yield good results.
To measure accurately, spoon the item into the measuring cup, then scrape evenly across
the top using a table knife to level.
Ingredients you pour, like milk, maple syrup, water, and lemon juice, should be measured
in a liquid measuring cup with marks on the sides.
Place it on a level surface and view the hash marks at eye level to get an accurate read.
Sugar plays a big role in cookie making.
It adds sweet flavor, affects texture, and according to Fine Cooking, even plays a role
in leavening.
You'll find many different types of sugar at the grocery store, so it's important to
know the difference.
You can store sugar indefinitely in a dry, cool place, but it can absorb flavors if you
store it near pungent foods.
In some cases, that absorbency is a good thing - think vanilla sugar.
But if you store sugar right next to your bag of onions or garlic, your cookies might
taste a little strange.
"This.
Is.
So.
Terrible."
Also, you can use white granulated sugar and cane sugar interchangeably in recipes without
any problems.
The flour you use for cookies is critical
Most recipes will call for all-purpose flour.
But according to Joy the Baker, if you're interested in making cookies using a whole-grain
flour, like whole wheat, take care.
Whole-wheat flour takes longer to hydrate and might yield a coarse or dry result if
you completely replace the all-purpose flour.
"Does she know what she's doing?"
"No, not a clue."
The rule of thumb is that you can substitute half of all-purpose flour in the recipe with
whole-wheat flour.
If you decorate cookies with icing, make sure they've cooled completely - unless the recipe
says otherwise - so the icing will properly set.
Apply any of the candies or decorating sugar before the icing sets and do so with the cookies
set on a wire rack set over a baking pan to catch any excess.
Allow plenty of time to make sure the icing is fully set before packing to store or give
away.

That's a funny one.
Ah! What the hell?
I'm so sorry.
Ow! Ah, ow!

Ah! I'm fine.
You need to get checked out. I'm gonna take you to the hospital.
No. I'm fine. Really.

Well, no wonder you didn't hear me.

As The Planet Burns, Trump Issues Rule To Let Power Plants Pollute Even More - Duration: 3:29.
It's been less than a week since we got that massive EPA climate assessment warning us
how bad things are going to get in this country if we do not address the problem of climate
change.
Administration officials, including Donald Trump himself has already dismissed the report.
They don't care about it.
They don't believe it.
They think it's a partisan hack job from leftover Obama people, and so they're just going to
completely ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist.
And then this week, again, less than a week later, they're actually coming up with a new
rule that is going to allow more carbon pollution from new coal fired power plants here in the
United States.
They're repealing yet another Obama rule that would have helped reduce the amount of carbon
that we're spewing into the atmosphere.
Under the previous rule, the Obama rule, uh, any new coal fired power plant had to have
these, a carbon capture devices.
This carbon capture technology installed and they weren't allowed to emit more than 1400
pounds of carbon pollution per megawatt hour of electricity generated.
The Trump administration wants to bump that up by about 33 percent with our new rule,
and they're going to allow up to 1900 pounds of carbon pollution per megawatt hour of electricity
produced.
There's one bright spot in all this and it is that coal demand in the United States has
fallen by 40 percent, 40 percent because it's outdated, it's dirty, and it's less efficient,
so even though they're repealing this rule and putting their new let's pollute more rule
in place, there actually are no new coal fired power plants that this rule could apply to
at least as it stands right now.
Now perhaps repealing this rule might encourage coal companies to go out there and build new
plants and whatever, but considering the staggering drop in demand, that seems unlikely, so this
may actually be one of those cases where the Trump administration comes in, repeals and
Obama rule allows for more pollution, but that pollution may not actually materialize
because they're, once again, essentially betting on a dead horse because that's what coal is
at this point.
Coal is a dying fossil fuel method that has been used for hundreds of years that has fallen
out of favor around the planet, not just because of how gross and dirty it is for the atmosphere,
but because of how inefficient it is become compared to newer, better technologies.
Now, not all of those newer technologies are better.
They're not all cleaner.
Some are just as dirty as cool fracked.
Natural gas over its lifetime will admit just as much as coal will, but at least in this
instance, because of that drop in demand because things are changing around the planet and
nobody wants coal anymore.
Maybe this is one rule that will actually have no impact on the United States because
maybe we're not dumb enough to keep building new coal fired power plants and we understand
that it's time to move on from the same fuel method that our ancestors used to use.

The Real Reason Many Lowe's Stores Are Closing Down - Duration: 4:02.
In early November 2018, the international home improvement chain Lowe's announced that
it would be closing a significant number of its stores.
Now shoppers in the US and Canada will have to find somewhere else to pick up their tools
and construction supplies.
But why?
Here's the real reason why so many Lowe's stores are suddenly shutting down.
When retail chains announce store closings, they often haven't yet determined what stores
specifically will end up on the chopping block.
That's not how Lowe's went about things, though.
The company announced exactly which stores they planned on shuttering, adding up to a
total of 47 branches - 20 in the United States, and 27 in Canada.
The closing stores are spread across 13 states and five provinces, not concentrated in any
one region.
According to a company statement, the stores are being shut down for underperforming financially.
Marvin Ellison, Lowe's CEO and president, said in the statement,
"The store closures are a necessary step in our strategic reassessment as we focus on
building a stronger business."
So why are these stores underperforming?
Are they getting run out of business by the competition?
Not exactly.
According to the company, most of the closing stores are located within 10 miles of another
Lowe's location.
In other words, the company considers the stores on the chopping block to be redundant.
According to CNBC, the company is aiming to have all the stores shut down by February
2019.
The company says most of the workers at the closing stores should be able to transition
to similar positions at other locations, but even if that works for 100% of the affected
employees, it's still a stressful time to be working at one of the stores getting shuttered.
Especially so close to the holidays.
When it comes to big-box hardware and home improvement stores, The Home Depot and Lowe's
are the only names in the game.
But there can be only one market leader, and for now, that's the Home Depot.
According to CNBC, Home Depot not only does better business than Lowe's, it also controls
better retail real estate, and has a more robust e-commerce fulfillment sector.
At the time of Lowe's announcement, Home Depot had more than twice the market value of its
main competitor, coming in at $207 billion compared to Lowe's $79 billion.
It seems to mean that even if the store-closing measure pays off, the company still has a
long way to go to close the gap between itself and its corporate rival.
Anticipating the 2018 holiday season, Lowe's won't close most of the 47 stores currently
marked for death until after the turn of the new year.
They can't leave that Black Friday money on the table, after all.
Lowe's fiscal year ends on February 1, 2019, by which time the company projects that all
47 stores marked for closure will be closed.
To that end, the corporate office has enlisted the help of Hilco Merchant Services, a retail
liquidation company that clears as much merchandise out of shuttering stores as quickly as possible.
If you're lucky and you keep an eye out, maybe you can pick up some sweet savings for yourself
as your local store's last days draw closer.
Cutting the costs associated with the 47 affected stores, the company believes, could theoretically
make Lowe's as a whole more profitable, and its stocks more valuable.
The company reportedly believes that the move will add 28 to 34 cents of value to each share
of stock, potentially boosting the company's overall worth by as much as $274.8 million.
Hey, it's a start.
More to come?
The accelerated closure of 47 Lowe's locations may sound drastic, and it's certainly an incredible
disruption to the hundreds of people who work at those stores - especially anyone who might
not be able to transfer to another store so easily.
But employees of the international chain shouldn't worry too much yet, as this initial run of
closures only covers a tiny percentage of Lowe's outlets overall.
In North America, the company operates about 2,100 stores, divided between 1,800 locations
in the United States and 300 more in Canada.
That means only 2 percent of Lowe's branches are shutting down, which is significant, but
not the end of the world.
Could more closures be coming in the future?
It's possible.
Either way, it makes a stressful winter for the workers - but consumers probably don't
have much to worry about.
If worse comes to worst, there's always Home Depot.

Audition Tips for Musicians | 101 The Basics - Duration: 5:41.
Hello everyone and welcome to my video: Audition Tips: 101 The Basics.
Now, to give you guys a bit of background, I'm 25 years old and I've been playing the cello for 17 years.
I am currently
studying for a Doctoral Degree in Musical Arts.
I've taken auditions anywhere from
professional groups,
music festival auditions, seating auditions,
three degrees at this point...I've done a lot of auditions!
I really want to make a resource
for
musicians such as yourselves, and hopefully I can help you out a little bit.
This is gonna be one video out, of many, for an audition
advice series. So for the first video, this is just kind of an overview.
So, audition tip number one:
be open to the nerves.
A lot of people have the opinion that if you're nervous
That means, deep down, you didn't prepare enough or you don't feel confident in yourself.
I don't agree with that...
I get nervous for auditions because I really care about the outcome. When I really want something, I get
emotionally invested, and caring that much:
the nerves start and you get the little side voices in your head going.
Know it is going to happen, because if you're so worried about being nervous, and then you start getting nervous,
It's just double the amount of anxiety.
I have teachers, and they admit they still get nervous after all these years of success.
So, don't be ashamed of being nervous.
Audition tip number two:
Prepare, to the point of over-preparing, and, as a side tip, try to replicate the audition
in your practice room.
Few ways you can do that:
playing for friends,
playing in your teachers studio class,
analyze how your body reacts to those kinds of nerves and, since you're playing in front of friends and colleagues,
it's not a high-risk situation.
Make sure also you don't cram in the repertoire. Give yourself plenty of time and then add
two to four more weeks on top of that.
Another thing you can do: try to play your repertoire
without warming up. Or,
washing your hands under really cold water to replicate the feeling of not being warmed up or
walking onto a really cold stage. That's a little tip
I learned from a cellist who plays in the Boston Symphony.
In addition, make sure you play the repertoire in different orders.
You never know what order they're gonna ask you in the audition unless they tell you ahead of time.
So tip number three: listen to your body and to take care of yourself.
Preparing for auditions is very strenuous. It's a lot of hours in the practice room.
It can also be mentally exhausting. If your hands are sore, or your arms are tired...
...take the break.
Also, I'm a string player, so I apologize! I'm in string land, in my head, and I realized there are also
wind players,
brass players,
percussionists, vocalists. Whatever you're playing
appendages are,
adapt it to what I'm saying for strings.
You also don't want to overwork yourself to the point of getting sick,
right?
That would really suck to get sick the week of an audition.
If you end you practicing one hour early because you're tired or sore or feel like you're you get sick.
That one hour is a lot better than three days to a week
being out of commission because you got sick or
because you feel like you're on the brink of injury.
Also, make sure you stay well hydrated,
you're getting enough nutrients, you have a well-balanced diet. Don't try any bizarre
eating tricks...I don't know I've heard, I've heard weird things but...
Have a diet that will make you feel at your best.
So, to recap:
own your nerves, over-prepare and try to replicate the audition situation in your practice room.
Number three:
taking care of
your physical needs
So those are my basic audition tips. If you guys like the video
and you're a fan of this work from The Cello Doll.
(That's me!)
Leave a like, subscribe to the channel, and check out my other playlists.
I have a playlist of original music videos that I've produced.
Lastly check out my Instagram, also thecellodoll, all one word.
I really hope you guys check out some more stuff. I'm gonna leave links and thank you for watching.
See you guys, bye!

[Praying for our ship not to sink]
[Amazing]

Arsenal boss Unai Emery jokes around at press conference - did you hear what he said? - Duration: 2:20.
Arsenal midfielder Guendouzi and Manchester United's Fellaini tangled at Old Trafford as the Frenchman dribbled away from the Belgian
Fellaini resorted to pulling on the 19-year-old's long, curly locks after struggling to keep up with him after being brought on by Jose Mourinho
And Guendouzi subsequently fell to the floor as a result of the bizarre challenge which sent fans wild on social media
Plenty comically remarked that Fellaini was jealous of the Arsenal man's hair having recently cut off his own afro
Emery joked at his press conference on Thursday that Guendouzi could avoid a repeat of the situation by getting a fresh trim
"I think when I was a player it was the same," Emery said, when asked about the coming together
"Today with the camera all the situations happening in the 90 minutes, everyone can see
"Some questions are only for the players on the pitch. "If it's not a good action they can receive a red card or yellow card, but on the pitch, the situation that happened for me is between the players
"I think the best is, for the next match, cut the hair for Matteo and this problem is finished - like Fellaini!" Emery insisted he has not ordered Emery to get his hair shaved though
"No [I haven't told him that]," Emery added. "I respect a lot the players' hair and [hair] colour
" Guendouzi joked about the incident with Fellaini when quizzed on it. "I think there is a bit of jealousy there," Guendouzi said
"Maybe he can't accept the fact that he chose to go back to short hair!"

Camper Van WiFi - Mobile INTERNET ON THE ROAD As A Digital Nomad // WiFi In RV - Duration: 8:16.
Well, hello everyone, this is Amber with Story Chasing and in today's video we're going to
talk about how I stay connected on the road as a digital nomad.
Guys have been asking for it, what equipment do I use?
How do I use it with my solar panels?
So we're going to talk all about that today.
So the first thing that I use is hotspots.
So I have a Verizon hotspot here and I also have an AT&T hotspot.
Now, in my video from last week, I talked about how I use my Verizon hotspot with a
new prepaid plan so check that out.
You may want to look into that because the Verizon hotspot that I was on before with
my regular cell phone plan just didn't work that well.
So here's the thing, as a digital nomad, you need to make sure you're connected everywhere
you go.
I'm online at 24/7, it seems like I'm always charging my equipment, I'm always online loading
videos or answering emails, social media, etc.
As a digital nomad, that's very important that you are always online and connected.
So in order to make that happen, I have the two hotspots that I was just telling you about
with Verizon and AT&T.
The other thing that's super important to make sure you're connected is a cell booster.
So the system that I use is called a weBoost and it is connected to an antenna on the roof
and well, you know what, let me just show you.
So here's the weBoost, I usually have it mounted to the side of the wall, but my Velcro has
somehow come loose and that is actually connected to AC power, so you do need to have your inverter
on in order to make that work properly.
And then let's go outside and take a look how it's connected outside to the antenna.
All right, so the antenna that came with my weBoost is not the antenna that I'm using
here.
This antenna is one that I specifically bought because it has an earth magnet on it.
The one that came with the system is one that you hard mount onto your van or to your RV,
and I didn't want to punch any holes in my RV so I got the magnet instead.
And that just sits up at the top, I take it on and off when I travel and when I'm stationary
I just keep it up there so that actually runs down the side of the van and in through the
driver door and then that connects to the weBoost inside.
That is how I stay connected to a cell booster.
So that cell booster, if you're not familiar with it, a cell booster will boost your signal
typically when you're going to be in rural areas.
The cell towers are far and few between more so than an urban area, so you need sometimes
to boost your signal.
That thing has helped me so many times when I'm in rural areas, sometimes it'll say I
have no signal whatsoever, or just maybe one bar and then I'll plug that thing in and it's
amazing.
I can get sometimes anywhere between two, three and even four bars.
That will help me to get that cell signal in those rural areas.
If you're going to be doing a lot of boondocking, make sure you get some kind of a cell booster.
There's different ones out there, weBoost seems to be the best one in my opinion, and
so that's the one that I went with and it's the first one that I bought when I actually
started RVing and so I've kept it.
It's worked really well.
I haven't had any issues with it, so except the fact that oh guess what?
I had a different antenna and that antenna was just a slender antenna that had an earth
magnet on it and I would put it on the top of the roof and I could actually drive around
a lot with that one on, but I was on the coast so much and with all the salty air it got
rusted.
That's the antenna that I have up there now that I just showed you is the one that I got
instead and it is good for being in outside.
It won't get rusty or anything like that.
The next thing you need to know is when you have ... So you have your cell booster set
up now, it's plugged in, the green light is on.
Now the green light means that it is getting a signal from the antenna on top of the roof
and that it's working properly inside.
So the next question is how do you actually get that cell tower signal boosted to your
devices?
Like your hotspot or your cell phone and how does that whole system really work?
So you have the antenna on top, you have the weBoost system that I showed you in the bottom
that's connected to the AC power, so then you have this antenna right here that's plugged
into the booster at the bottom, and I just let that sit right here and sometimes I'll
just throw my hotspot like up here in the window so it's getting a signal outside and
it's close to this antenna.
This antenna is what ties it altogether so that you can get a good cell signal to your
devices.
The closer it is to the antenna, the better.
Making sure that I use my weBoost and cell booster and these two hotspots.
That's how I stay connected most of the time.
I have the option of going to like a Starbucks or place that offers free wifi, but I generally
don't have to use that because this is what really works for me and I haven't had too
many issues with it except if I go to a different country like Canada or something like that.
I am capped at how much I can use when I go into those countries only because I haven't
purchased a plan that allows me to have more usage there so I will make more use out of
the Starbucks or believe it or not, Home Depot they have really good wifi if you sit out
in their parking lot next to the contractor section, they have really good wifi there.
So that's an option too if you are traveling around and for some reason you don't have
a hotspot or you can't get a good cell signal for some reason, go to a Starbucks, go to
Home Depot, a Lowe's, Walmart.
I've had iffy luck with Walmart, I've had better luck with Home Depot to be honest so
try that if you are looking for some free wifi.
The other thing about being a digital nomad is making sure that you have enough power
in order to charge everything.
So I tend to use a lot of power because I have a lot of things to charge like a computer,
a camera, several cameras, iPhone, my two hot spots over here.
Those need to stay charged up so that I can always stay connected.
I have multiple other devices.
My weBoost needs to be plugged in so that it can actually get a signal.
So I do have my solar panels which actually charge everything and then I just have to
make sure it's plugged in.
So my Verizon always gets plugged in over here to my USB ports.
This is all AC power for me, which means I need to have my inverter on in order to get
power to the USB port and to these plugs.
So I have to turn on my inverter and I have to make sure my lithium batteries are on and
then I will be able to have power to everything.
So because I'm pulling so much energy from my batteries, I want to make sure that I'm
getting enough solar power so I make sure that either one, I am charged up by using
my solar panels and that just means that my batteries have to be on in order to actually
convert the solar energy to energy into my batteries and store it, or I'm driving throughout
the day or I can turn on my under hood generator, which is part of the Hymer Aktiv van system.
And that allows all of the batteries to charge in the coach.
It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it and you understand the system and really
get to know your coach and figure out how much power you're pulling in from the sun
and how much energy you're actually pulling out of your batteries on an everyday basis.
So as a digital nomad, that is something that I really have to pay attention to on an everyday
basis.
I'm very conscientious of how much power I'm using just to turn the lights on or how much
power I'm using when I'm cooking.
So anyways, I want to make sure that I'm completely powered up throughout the day and just managing
how much energy I'm using and consuming every single day.
One of the things you might think about too is getting that Verizon hotspot that's prepaid
and that is not throttled completely unlimited.
I have the video up on the screen now that I put out just a couple of weeks ago.
Go ahead and watch that video so you can see how you can get that hotspot, make sure that
you're always connected, no throttle and unlimited.
That's a big deal in this digital nomad community as well.
Have a great day and I'll see you in the next video.
