*Aquí versión de la Policía Municipal: La noche de este sábado el director de Seguridad Pública Municipal, Gilberto Loya Chávez, lamentó la muerte del policía de academia Manuel Enrique Valdez Castillo, quien fuera miembro de la corporación desde el 15 de julio de 2014; asignado desde octubre del 2016 al grupo de escoltas del Ayuntamiento

En rueda de prensa, Loya Chávez explicó que el agente perdió la vida a causa de un disparo que recibió en la espalda, alrededor de las 19:20 horas cuando el agente Valdez asistió en apoyo de su padre quien minutos antes había sido agredido por varias personas que se encontraban al interior del OXXO, ubicado en 20 de noviembre y Donato Guerra

Es importante destacar que el Agente Valdez estaba franco, en su día de descanso, desarmado y sin identificación como oficial de la policía

Al responder la policía municipal como primer respondiente, se aseguró al dependiente del OXXO como testigo, así como dos personas más quienes ya fue puesto a disposición de Fiscalía General del Estado

Manuel Enrique Valdez Castillo, tenía capacitación especializada como técnico en urgencias medicas, y contaba con un historial limpio dentro de la corporación sin ninguna boleta de arresto en su expediente

"Enviamos nuestra solidaridad a su familia, a sus señores padres, a su hija Sofía y sus hermanos" señaló el titular de la DSPM

Asimismo, Gilberto Loya explicó que de Manuel Enrique Valdez Castillo recibirá todas las prestaciones que se establece en la ley, lo cual es una pensión al 100% de su sueldo, servicio médico del Instituto Municipal de Pensiones para su hija hasta los 18 años, o hasta los 24 en caso de continuar estudiando

Además, contaba con un seguro de vida, seguro de gastos funerarios y un seguro por muerte accidental

Descanse en paz el agente Manuel Enrique Valdez Castillo.
