I went to a powerlifting competition | Vlog 12 - Duration: 9:15.

It's friday evening..

I'm going to a powerlifting competition tomorrow

I got this idea 20 days before Tartu County's youth championships in classic powerlifting

I asked Siim, what does he think about me going to a powerlifting competition

so we started trying out the basics, it had been pretty long since I last did squats

and we did deadlift and bench

When I tried my deadlift PB for the first time I was out for a week after

My muscles were so sore it was hard to do anything,

because leaning down and squatting.. you need back muscles for almost everything, I felt pretty awful

but now I've gotten used to it

At first it was written in the rules that there are no weight categories and the ranking will be done by Wilks points,

but when I entered the competition, I was asked if I wanted to compete in -63 kg or +63 kg

and as I am just in between there, I just thought it'd be easier to just go to the +63 kg category,

but then I started thinking that what if I have to compete with girls weighing 70-89 kg,

because they obviously already lift more with their bodyweight

I weighted actually 64 kg so I had to lose a kilo in a week

So at first I thought that it's going to be so difficult, because I've always thought that I eat a lot

I thought I had to eat as little as possible to get the right amount of calories to lose the weight

The first 3 days I only ate 1200-1400cal,

which you should definitely not do, because no one should ever eat less than 1500cal

So I tried to fix that and the next 2 days I managed to eat between 1700-1800cal (I was so proud of myself),

I was in Tallinn at the National Contest of Young Scientists the past 2 days

so I food prepped some buckwheat and boiled eggs for that, took some cottage cheese and protein quark cream

but now it's evening and I've eaten less than 1000cal today

and it just happened..

I didn't feel once that I would've been hungry, because I was eating complex carbs and protein,

which kept me feeling full the whole day

but now I feel like I don't have much energy left

I don't know how can I get that energy for tomorrow

Of course I just came from the groceries..

I can eat a lot of crap tomorrow

The weighing is in the morning from 9.00 to 10.00

and the competition starts at 10.30,

so if people usually try to find foods, which are high volume, but few calories,

so you could eat more, but get less calories,

then tomorrow I need to eat less and get alot calories

I took myself some energy gels, which I think marathon runners usually use

and Snickers, Twix and Tupla,

so I could get a lot of energy fast, a lot of simple carbs,

so I would have energy to lift heavy

and as I have my first competition in powerlifting, I can't even imagine, what's the format there,

I know the commands, we did those through,

but how what exactly happens tomorrow will be a surprise for me I guess

Now I'm going to sauna and then to sleep and then it's tomorrow already

and I am so ... excited ... I'm so tired I can't even think anymore

but 'til tomorrow, will see how does my first powerlifting competition turn out

Squats and Bench are done and I'm currently on 3rd place (I was sharing points with 2nd place)

I have a pretty big score gap with 4th place and I hope I can maintain it with deadlift

The competition is over and after the last lift I'm overall 4th with Wilks points

and in my weigh category (-63 kg) I ended up being on 3rd place,

about which I am super happy, we had 4 competitors, so I wasn't the last one

And I am happy, because I prepared only 20 days for this competition and the others, who are competing here

competed also at Estonian Nationals last week, so I think I can go to Estonian Championships next year,

if I continue like that..

I got 1st place

I'm Tartu County's Champion in -63 kg junior (U-23)

It's sad that Siim couldn't come here to help me, but he had Estonian Nationals in Classic Bodybuilding,

so I really hope he did well also (Siim won!)

But don't be afraid, I'm still skiing

It's just my little hobby for a while

Powerlifting competition was a great experience, I learned a lot from it

For all of those, who think that I changed to powerlifting – No, I am not powerlifting, I am still skiing

I used the competition to motivate myself more in the gym

and it worked well

and I feel like I'm the strongest I've ever been right now

my main sport is still skiing and my main goal in the gym is to fix my knee,

so I could start skiing again in summer

Of course when there're any powerlifting competitions in Estonia and if I got time for that I'll go and compete again

It's so cool to have it as a hobby, because I can compete with myself, beat my personal bests

I get only stronger doing it and it feels great

Powerlifting's not a sport I would like to compete in on world's scale, though.. It's a bit brutal

I'd really like to thank Siim for going along with my "crazy" idea and helping me prep for the competition

I'd also want to thank all my friends who congratulated me after the competition and wrote me tons of good things

flood also got active when it rains.

while going to school she got affected by flood but Rescued mission helped her.

with finding the good sides

of very difficult and hard situations in life

I'd like to make clear

I do NOT underestimate the huge difficulty

of thess hard situations in life

these situations are definitely

NOT situations to wish for

what I am saying

that even in these difficult situations

you can choose not to concentrate

on the pain and the difficulty

but to try to distract yourself from these

by finding some good sides

and by trying

to make the best out of it

so the question for today

what could be good about

finding yourself homeless?

so here are some positive sides

that I can think of

about being homeless

you don't need to hurry anywhere

sometimes it's nice to have some time off

from the pressure and the expectations

of the world

you don't have a house

so you don't need to worry

about property and utility bills

or about doing housework

you have a lot of free time

so you can use this time

to do things such as

going to the city library

read for your enjoyment

maybe even learning some new things

from the books

you can go maybe doing some sports

in the park

or if there is a beach close by

you can go to the beach and swim in the sea

and just relax

and I guess this hard situation

teaches you a lot

about people and about life it

it puts everything in the right perspective

and gives proportions

develops your creativity

because you need to survive somehow

and when you will get out of this situation

you will be a much stronger resilient person

Hey Everyone, it's Laura Pearman and this

is another Laura Pearman vlog. I have

another question today, and this was sent

through on Instagram.

The question is from Dakota who also is

known as @kotaisataloss

I don't know if that some kind of pun.

but Kotaisataloss asked me:

T his leads me on to

a semi rant. So erm yeah, the camera that I

was using for that particular question Dakota

was my Canon 5d mark 3.

I use that for quite a lot of my main

work, usually my commercial stuff a

lot of headshots because it's really

quick and easy and reliable, a

lot of my Canon lenses are

compatible I'm usually quite a Canon

girl don't get me started on Nikon.

That's a whole other rant. But yeah

basically the photographer is the

skilled one and the camera they use is

the tool that they use. So in a few

of my online courses that I have I

talk about painters and

paintbrushes. You spend a lot of money on

getting the finest quality hairs in

the paintbrush so that you can do a

great job

it's kind of like that with photography.

Photography in the last erm probably

20 years has massively changed because

of the technical equipment that is

available to us and sure you get a lot

of people who are really like

excited about technical equipment and

those people are usually middle-aged men

I find and I'm going to be totally

honest it kind of bores me.

I'm more of the ilk of

photographers where I get a creative idea

in my brain and then I just find the

equipment that it helps me to create

that thing that's in my mind. I don't

really give a shit about what kind of

equipment it is and what its

capabilities are from a scientific

point of view I just need the

tools that I need to get the job done. So

I have some cameras here that I that I

use that I've created a great work with

and I have my brownie reflex twin twin

lens there and this was one of my first

Canon professional cameras it's a film

500N and let me see what else have I got today?

Oh! My erm My Bronica square format

Camera.

She's a beauty and yeah I have a lot of

cameras and but that's kind of the way

with photographers and if you if you get

into where you find that sometimes you

need a certain camera to do a specific

job and that's the way it goes the the

cameras should never make the photographer you

got my drift? It's kinda like that saying

where if you put a hundred I don't

always a hundred chimps with on a

hundred typewriters eventually they'll

create Shakespeare if you put a hundred

people with a hundred specific cameras,

would they create a masterpiece?

Who know's? Anyway!

Would they be Nikon Camera's, or would

they be Canon Camera's? I don't know!

Anyway it's not about the kit, is kind of

my point of today's Vlog. Thank you

How to use no_pass terrain in Call To Arms GEM Editor - Duration: 2:10.

Press pause if video goes to fast

Navigate to the Land sub menu or press F2

Note I have the Terrain tab already highlighted

In the Terrain PP menu you can see ground is highlighted in blue. This is the brown x's you see on map

Select the no_pass option in the terrain PP menu

Left click and drag the area you want as no_pass terrain

no-pass prevents ground vehicles from entering that part of your map.

Press F1.Sniper can freely walk through no_pass area

Vehicle will only drive as far as no_pass shaded area and cannot travel further

Press F2 again and select no_pass human

left click and drag to shade the area you want to apply this terrain to

no_pass_human does what it states, it prevents humans from entering

Whilst allowing vehicles to pass through

In my next video we will play with swamp terrain

Hi guys! And welcome back to my channel

For those who don't know me my name is

Nina. Today is the third video in the

series of capsule wardrobe; In the first

video I took you through all the steps

that you need in order to create a

capsule wardrobe. In the second video we

talked about the essential items that

every girl needs in her wardrobe; And,

today we're going to talk about color

analysis. So I will be discussing color

hues, primary colors, secondary colors

warm and cool colors and different color

schemes including monochromatic

analogous and complimentary! And, in the

following videos I will be going in

details over the colors black and the

RGB: so, red green and blue which make up

the whole color spectrum. So let's start

with the primary colors: the primary

colors are red blue and yellow. And if

you look at the color wheel they make up

a triangle. Now, if you mix two of each

of the primary colors you get secondary

colors. So, if you mix red and blue you

get violet; If you mix blue and yellow

you get green and if you mix red

and yellow , you get orange.

And the secondary colors also make up a triangle

in the color wheel; Now if you mix each

of the secondary color with a primary

color you get even more color

combinations. So, if you mix red and

orange you get red orange; If you mix

yellow and orange you get yellow orange. If you

mix red and violet, you get red violet

If you mix blue and violet you get blue

violet; If you mix blue and Green you

get blue green. If you mix yellow and

green you get yellow green; And all these

colors are different hues; If you add white

to these hues you get different tints; If

you add grey you get different tones and

if you add black you get different

shades and all the tints, tones and

shades of one color makeup a

monochromatic color scheme; And all the

different colors of the monochromatic

scheme make up a beautiful color scheme

Now if you take the color wheel and

divided in half, one half makes up the

warm colors and the other half makes up

the cool colors; And if you take any color

from one side and go right across it to

the other side you get its complementary

color. So, the red color is a warm color

you go right across it, you get green

which is a complimentary of the red and

is cool; the color blue is a cool color

you go right across it, you get orange

which is a warm complementary color. If

you pick up the color yellow and you go

right across it you get violet; The color

yellow is a warm color the color

violet is a cool color and these two

colors are complementary. So when you pair

these colors next to each other they

make up a complementary color scheme But

this color scheme is super harsh and

noisy on the human eye so when you pair

complementary colors together they don't

work they clash! But, there is a way

around that. If you really want to work

with complementary colors you can add tints

tones or shades to either of the colors

so for example, if you wanna work with

blue and orange you can add black to the

blue and get Navy so the color navy goes

beautifully with the color orange

Another thing that you can do is pair

these colors with a neutral color so if

you have your red skirt and you want to

pair it with green blazer you can add a

white t-shirt in between and this way it

looks really good! The last color scheme

that we will be talking about is the

analogous color scheme So, if you pick two or

three colors right next to each other on

the color wheel with their respective

tints, tones and shades, you get an analogous

color scheme. So, you can

pair 2 to 16 colors and they would go very

well together! But, since we are talking

about the capsule wardrobe; And the idea

here is to declutter any color that

doesn't look good on you and only choose

the colors that make you shine then we

need certain guidelines; You can use

these guidelines to create the capsule

wardrobe, to choose the right colors for

you, or as a first step into the fashion

world! So, the first guideline is to make

your whole outfit out of one neutral

color. The second guideline is to pair

one accent color with one neutral color

and this will be your whole outfit

The 3rd rule or guideline would be to pair 2

accent colors with one neutral color Or

pair 2 neutral colors with one accent

color! And, finally if you want to

challenge yourself you can pair two

accent colors with two neutral colors

And remember to take the rules of the

color analysis and apply them within

these guidelines. So for example, if you

want to pair 2 accent colors with

one neutral you can go with

complementary colors scheme or

monochromatic color scheme or even

analogous color scheme. So these rules of

the color analysis would apply to all

the guidelines which we talked about. And,
