Gotta Zayn | Teen Almanac - Duration: 1:54.

[Ian] Gotta Zayn. [Stella] Oh my god, that's my husband.

♪♪

[Stella] I say it all the time. "Gotta Zayn." [Subashri] No, no one says that.

[Stella] Okay, so this is where it came from, I can give you this little backstory. [Subashri] Even Felicia's better!

So y'all know One Direction. There's Harry, Zayn, Niall, Louis...

Wasn't there a guy named Style? Oh no, that was Harry Style.

And, um wait, am I missing any? I think there's five. No there's four. There's five!

Niall, Louis, Zayn, Harry, and LIAM LIAM LIAM! Liam.

[Subashri] Liam Gallagard? [Stella] "Gallagard."

Gallagher? Galla-something.

Stop, that's a different band. So um, they broke up, right? The five of them broke up.

Zayn was the first one to leave. So that's why they say "Gotta Zayn."

"Gotta Zayn!" Because he left the band. Gotta leave!

So saying "Gotta Zayne," is like, you're doing what he did. Basically saying "I gotta go."

Not like "Bye, Felicia," which is like actually going, it's like saying "goodbye" but something

but "Gotta Zayn" is like saying the event in one word. In two words.

[Ian] Like, where did you guys first hear the phrase "Gotta Zayn"?

[Tanushri] School! [Stella] No, not even school. It was Tumblr. It was Twumb - I mean Twitter.

I heard it from Stella, 'cause she's over there saying "Gotta Zayn!" in a porta potty.

[Tanushri] In a porta potty! [Stella] I never said that in a porta potty!

You said that to the toilet because you were sad that you had to leave.

[Ian] Define "Gotta Zayn."

[Google Assistant] "Gotta Zayn," it's like saying "gotta go," "gotta leave," because Zayn left One Direction.

Example: "Sorry, gotta Zayn. I need to get home before curfew."

Norwich Stories - Erin Proctor | Nursing | Civilian - Duration: 2:12.

My name is Erin Proctor, I'm a sophomore, nursing major.

I'm a civilian student and this is my Norwich Story.

I came on, not like a scheduled prospect day, but it was just me and my mom that came.

And so we had like our own little personal tour and so we came to the Nursing department

and I got to talk with the director, then.

She was really awesome.

And she gave me all the things, like the courses that might transfer in.

All the classes that I'd be taking.

And then she gave me a personal tour of the Nursing department.

Then I actually got to go into the control room of the high-tech sims and got to watch

as the, I don't know what year they were, but junior or senior students were in there,

working on their patient.

It was really cool.

So "sim" is where you have the high-tech "mannequins" so they can breathe, they can talk to you...

Each week we have a different assignment.

So it's a different patient, different wound care or problem that they have and we have

to assess it, do a head to toe assessment.

The professors make it as realistic as possible, so they make the patients have attitudes and

either "word salad," which is you just say stuff and it makes no sense to people, but

it's a neurological problem.

I like the caring for people, I've always loved caring for people.

Yea, just interacting with all these people.

10 Most POINTLESS Wars Ever Fought! - Duration: 12:16.

- Ya know, some wars are fought over freedom and some are

fought over pastries?

(sword slicing)

(engines revving)

If there was ever a lesson not to mess with your neighbors,

this would be it.

Way back in 494 AD in Saudi Arabia,

the Banu Taghlib and Banu Bakr tribes

got into a disagreement over a camel.

The camel, owned by a woman named Al Basus,

wandered off to go hang out with some of the other camels.

Now, Al Basus' nephew was the leader of the

Banu Bakr tribe and those other camels were owned

by the rival Banu Taghlib tribe.

That wouldn't have been that big of a deal except

that the chief of the Banu Taghlib's

killed Al Basus' camel not realizing that it wasn't

one of his own.

When her nephew found out, he took an eye for an eye

to a whole nother level and killed the chief.

That sparked a massive war between the two tribes

that lasted for 40 years.

Okay look, I get it, camels are precious,

but I'm pretty sure a four decade long war that's still

referenced as a warning against holding a grudge

wasn't the best way to deal with the problem.

I know they got them lovely camel humps,

but you just buy another one instead of starting a war

and killing people.

It's a good choice.

(ominous music)

The golden stool is the royal throne of the Ashanti people

and is believed to hold the spirit of the Asante nation.

It's so precious that few people ever get to even see it,

let alone sit on it.

Asante was located along the Golden Coast in what is now

Ghana and back in 1900, while their chief was in exile,

they were dealing with the British trying to

colonize their land.

But on March 25th, the British governor,

Sir Frederick Hodgson, demanded that they not only

let him sit on the stool, but also give it to him

to bring to the Queen.

Oh, that was bad movie Freddie!

The request was so disrespectful that the chief's mother

led an attack against the Brits.

The siege lasted three and a half months

until the Brits with heavy reinforcements broke through

on July 14th.

Sadly, in retaliation, local villages were pillaged

and land was stolen.

Over 2,000 soldiers and countless more civilians

were killed and all because some guy

couldn't sit on a stool.

It's not like it was a toilet and the guy was just

urgent to make ca-ca.

It was just a regular stool.

He was just lazy and didn't wanna stand up.

Man, these people.

On September 17th, 1788 in the midst of the

Austro-Turkish war, an Austrian army of 100,000 men

set up camp near the town of Cria-sha-besh.

A group of Army scouts crossed the nearby river

to make sure that the enemy Ottoman army wasn't close by,

when they met some gypsies with a whole lot of schnapps.

The scouts were pretty bruised up when more

infantry soldiers showed up and demanded that they share.

But the scouts refused and no surprise,

a fight broke out and a makeshift fort was built

around the barrels of schnapps.

That's kinda crazy.

I've never wanted to drink that badly in my life.

But it gets worse because amongst the chaos,

shots were fired and thinking it was the Ottomans invading,

soldiers started yelling, "The Turks, the Turks,"

which was made worse when German speaking officers

started yelling halt, which sounded to some like Allah.

It was just a whole big mess and then the fight

woke the rest of the camp who joined into the battle.

By morning, 10,000 soldiers had been killed and wounded

by their own men.

Yeah but, still got the schnapps though.

The San Juan Islands are located between Washington state

and Vancouver Island, but ownership of the land

was never clearly defined by the US or the British.

In the mid-1800s, the British-owned Hudson Bay company

moved onto the island and set up a huge sheep ranch,

but then in 1859, American settlers showed up

thinking it was their land.

Things were pretty tense and then on June 15th,

American Lyman Cutlar found a pig digging in his garden,

so he shot it.

Mmm, bacon.

Problem was, the pig belonged to Charles Griffin, a Brit.

When the British police tried to arrest Cutlar,

he called for military support.

By August 10th, five British ships and 2,140 troops

were face to face with 461 Americans and 14 cannons.

But luckily, both sides gave the order to only fire

if fired upon, so they just kinda sat there.

It took over six weeks for each side to agree to reduce

their armies, but the tension lasted 12 years

when America officially took control of the islands.

See kids, think twice next time before you go into

an unknown island and start shooting pigs.

In 1731, the War of Spanish Succession ended

with a treaty that let British traders take 500 tons

of goods and as many slaves as they wanted

from Spanish colonies.

It wasn't much of a peace deal, so Britain and Spain

were at war a lot.

In 1731, Julio Fandino, the commander of a Spanish

patrol boat, boarded the British ship, The Rebecca.

Fandino accused the captain, Robert Jenkins, of smuggling

and as punishment, he cut off Jenkins' left ear.

He was like an early, more civilized Mike Tyson.

So, in 1738, British Parliament decided to hold a hearing,

no pun intended.

Lucky for them, Jenkins had kept his detached ear

for seven years and brought it with him to court.

They were so outraged by the shriveled little ear

that they actually declared war.

407 British ships and 186 Spanish ships were lost

and over 20,000 British were killed

along with 4,000 Spanish killed and 5,000 total wounded.

The war lasted nine years with no territory gains

or a winner, all over an ear.

Man, I can't listen to this story anymore!

Heh, see what I did there?

Ear joke.

From 1838 to 1839, France and Mexico were involved

in the Pastry Wars, but don't get too excited.

It wasn't nearly as delicious as it sounds.

At the time, many countries were trying to take control

of Mexico and people were getting upset

with all the damage being done to their property.

So, in November of 1838, a French pastry chef,

Monsieur Remontal, issued a complaint with the French King,

Louis-Philippe.

He claimed that in 1832, his shop near Mexico City

had been looted and he wanted 60,000 pesos in compensation.

So, the King gave him his full support and demanded

that Mexico pay 600,000 pesos in damages,

but Mexico just refused.

So, France sent a fleet of warships to Veracruz,

the main port in the Gulf of Mexico.

Not only did he occupy the entire city,

but they blocked the Navy leading to Mexico declaring war

on France.

It only ended on March 9th, 1839 when Britain intervened

and got the Mexican president to agree to pay.

That would've been way more interesting if someone

just stole a whole bunch of croissants

and two countries went at it.

(sigh) And more tasty.

On February 6th, 1840, the signing of the

Treaty of Waitangi allowed the British to legally occupy

New Zealand, which wasn't exactly favored

by the local tribes.

The British began to take over more control

and move the capital from Waitangi in the Bay of Islands

itself to Auckland.

This was upsetting to the Maori tribe, which had signed

a deal to ensure their independence.

As the region lost out on huge revenues because of the move,

they built up support for a rebellion against the British.

And on July 8th, 1844, supporters cut down the flagstaff

that flew the Union Jack on Maiki Hill

in Kororareka.

But it did not take long for the British to put up

a new pole and flag.

So, they went and cut it down again.

In six months, the pole was cut down

and put back up three times.

Having enough, on March 11th, 1845, the 600 armed Maori

stormed the city and fought the British who were outnumbered

but eventually won.

The Battle of New Orleans was the biggest battle

of the War of 1812 between the US and the British.

British forces had made their way down to Louisiana

with hopes of taking New Orleans.

On January 8th, 1815, they marched on the city

but Major General Andrew Jackson had set up a strong

defensive that was three lines deep

and four miles long.

The fighting lasted until January 16th and it was

one of the war's bloodiest battles, but amazingly,

the Americans won with only 100 casualties

compared to the 2,000 British who were killed.

Only one small problem.

The battle was completely unnecessary.

That's because when the fighting started,

the war was already over.

Earlier, on December 24th, 1814,

a peace treaty between the US and the UK was signed

in GET, Belgium, effectively ending the war.

But see, 200 years ago, news didn't travel like it does now

and it took weeks for the news to reach North America

and the troops.

Damn technology, you scary!

In 1958, Iceland claimed that they had exclusive

fishing rights 12 miles off their coast.

Sounds fair enough, except the British weren't happy

about it because this was four miles more than Iceland

had before.

But instead of dealing with the issue with long,

boring policy meetings, things got pretty fishy,

like literally.

Like a scene from the Three Stooges,

the captains from both sides started throwing

live cod at each other.

At one point, Icelandic patrol boats tried to board

the British ships, but they chased them off

with axes and hammers.

Iceland even tried to blast a British fishing boat

out of the water, but was chased away by a gang

of British naval ships.

By the end of it, Iceland had six Navy ships

and Coast Guard vessels up against the force

of the British Royal Navy.

It took all the way up until 1976 for the British,

after being internationally mocked and losing tons

of money on military expenses, that they decided to quit

and let Iceland keep their water.

The British love their fish, do they?

It's not really worth it now, is it?

No.

The Kettle War took place in the Netherlands in 1784

and is considered to be the most humiliating war

of all time.

At that time, the Netherlands were split

into two territories.

The Northern Netherlands and the Austrian Netherlands

backed by the Roman Empire.

Since the late 1500s, the Northern Netherlands

had blocked trade ships from using the Scheldt River

to access Austria-controlled Belgium.

But on October 8th, 1784, the Roman Emperor,

Joseph the Second, decided to send three ships,

including his prized merchant ship, Le Louis,

up the river figuring it was about time that the Dutch

just let them use it.

No one ever thought that the Dutch would even notice,

but oh boy, they were wrong.

With tensions running high, a Dutch warship

fired a single shot at Le Louie and it hit

a kettle of soup.

This alone caused the army to surrender.

The Emperor tried to save face by declaring war

on October 30th but no one took him seriously.

I'm pretty sure this is where the phrase,

"Pick your battles," came from.

Hey guys, thanks so much for watching this.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons by Starbreeze Studios - The Chattering Gamer - Episode 2 - Duration: 9:01.

welcome to a fictional time in a

fictional place where there is a tree of

life than the inhabitants speak a

fictional language that's right based on

that rather incredible description we

are obviously in the world of brothers a

tale of two sons now as you might have

guessed brothers a tale of two sons is

about two sons who are brothers I don't

really know why I said that because

anyone with anything between their ears

would be able to get that from the title

but whoever wrote this script felt it

necessary

damn you scriptwriting me you are making

me sound foolish brothers a tale of two

sons is a wonderful game that made me

pretty damn emotional by the end of it

and in this video I'm going to try and

explain without spoilers why it made me

feel this way

so let's get on with it now the story of

brothers a tale of two sons focuses on

two brothers as you may have guessed

from the title those two brothers being

Naiee and Naia and they are trying to

acquire water from the tree of life to

save their sick father or at least we

think I think it's their father I don't

really know because they don't

explicitly tell you that it's their

father it could be their grandfather for

all I know but they say it's generally

implied that it's their father and the

whole thing is their adventure that they

have together to get to the Tree of Life

to get the water to bring it back and

it's all about them working together to

achieve things that they couldn't do on

their own

you know you soon find out that the

older brother can do things the younger

brother can't where's the younger

brother can do things that the older

brother can't and the whole gameplay

situation revolves around that and it's

actually extremely innovative oh by the

way before I move on to the gameplay I'm

going to say that I'm not going to go

any further into the plot mainly because

the whole game is story based there's

practically no collectibles as a matter

of fact I don't think there are any

collectibles at all it is just purely a

directed story experience think of it a

bit like Uncharted just without the

collectibles

and on a much smaller scale and with a

different art style which is beautiful

by the way the graphics in this game

actually read Zen themselves - the type

of story I think they're trying to tell

I think if you try to go too gritty and

real with this game it wouldn't have had

the same effect some of the things that

you actually encounter in this game it

would become a lot more scary the game

when you actually you know if you did it

in a much more realistic style I think

but anyway I'm supposed to be talking

about the plot if you want to you

know if you want to know more about the

plot either go and play the game

yourself or find a complete let's play

of it whichever one floats your boat so

now I'm going to move on to the gameplay

because like I said before the story is

very much told out in the gameplay and

the gameplay is actually fairly

innovative effectively the whole premise

of the gameplay of brothers a tale of

two sons is that you are controlling two

characters at once it's that whole idea

of using two characters to achieve one

goal so you have the younger brother

naiee and who can do like a lot of

climbing and he's very he's very small

so the older brother can kind of like

boost him up places so if you need to

get up anywhere high then you use the

older brother to boost the younger

brother up and the younger brother then

like drops down the rope for the older

brother to climb up and it's pretty it's

really quite good because you control

both characters at once so you have the

younger brother Nighy all controlled by

the left side of the controller so you

have the the left analog stick and the

left trigger button controlling what's

the younger brother does and you have

the right analog stick and the right

trigger controlling what the older

brother does and although the control

system is extremely innovative and it

does for the most part control really

really well there were times when I was

playing this that I got completely and

utterly confused because the whole setup

I think really is to keep Naiee on the

left and keep naia on the right at all

times however there are some times huh

because me being the dumbass that I am

where the two got mixed up and whether

to get mixed up you either have to be

very good at reversing

your brain or you have to control one

character at a time get your bearings

for one character then you can actually

do the same thing for the other

character for the other character bring

them back to the correct sides and then

carry on that happened to me a couple of

times actually it was really really

confusing at one point but generally the

controls are really good because then

you have you have the movements on the

on the analog stick and then contextual

actions on the trigger and those

contextual actions are completely based

on what you're actually trying to do so

yeah there's no different buttons for

different things it's one contextual

button for everything or one contextual

trigger in this case the whole gameplay

aspect it it makes it very

heart-wrenching at the end when when

certain events happen at the end of the

game I think if the gameplay mechanics

had just focused on just controlling one

say just controlling the younger brother

because the story does evolve a lot

around the younger brother it seems to

be told from the younger brother's point

of view if you've just been controlling

him I don't think it would have had the

same emotional impact the very fact that

you are controlling both of these

characters you actually get sort of

invested in the survival of both of

these characters and when certain events

happen at the end of the game it just it

makes it all the more heart-wrenching

and it makes it all the more

hard-hitting at least emotionally and

you you really do feel for these

characters it's a very interesting thing

and I think it was an absolutely

inspired choice by whoever directed the

game the developer of this game is

Starbreeze Studios by the way and I

think they've done an absolutely

brilliant job in just the whole package

no one element of the game really

stands out as being oh my god amazing

right but then the way everything comes

together so like the way the art style

the controls just the visuals in

general and the audio and the sound

design come together to form an entire

package that entire package is Wow oh my

god right that

so it does actually convey that kind of

feeling and it is a phenomenally cool

game my parting feelings when playing

this game was I think the story does

actually convey a pretty good message

which i think is more relevant today now

you know than ever and that is basically

sometimes you have to work together to

achieve your goals and sometimes to

actually work together and to achieve

those goals you also have to overcome

your own problems just a little bit more

of a bit of a spoiler sort of a spoiler

but not really a spoiler the younger

brother who's the story of which is told

from the point of view of we find out

early in the game has certain problems

that by the end of the game he has to

overcome and I've got to be honest that

the entire story in the entire

experience left me rather humbled

actually it wasn't really sad for me as

such well I mean I suppose it was sad

but not like bawling my eyes outside but

I did I did shed a tear at the air a

tear or two at the end it's a game that

will make you do that

or at least it did for me anyway I'm not

going to speak for everybody in the

world when I say that but it did for me

and I think that the message of you

having to overcome your own problems is

one that resonates very strongly with me

as I have a lot of problems that I'm

trying to overcome at the moment in my

own life so that that really did

resonate with me and this game has

actually done more to inspire me to do

that than anything else that's happened

so far in my life so my abiding memory

is one of contentment and inspiration

from playing this game and I would

highly recommend that you will check it

out as well so that was a peek at

brothers a tale of two sons let me know

what your thoughts are down in the

comments thank you so much for watching

this is the legacy of James and I'll see

you again

New Teen Titans Box Blind Bags Series 1 and Titans T-Tower Vs TREX and King Kong Unboxing - Duration: 19:51.

New Teen Titans Box Blind Bags Series 1 and Titans T-Tower Vs TREX and King Kong Unboxing

save them King Kong

why in the world with King Kong trying

to save them wideout wow it's great to

see you again I'm so glad you came back

we're gonna have another awesome set of

toys to unbox here ah these are actually

sent to me by my friends at Mattel

thanks Mattel they sent me the team

power Teen Titans peak-hour really cool

it's like they're our headquarters with

an exclusive Robin again then you've

been cooler they sent me a whole box of

series 1 ah minifigure blind bags wow

that is so cool let's see how many we

got in here and AH with these there is a

to them that you could find the chink

cyborg each boy Blackfyre speedy raven

dark robin and Starfire

sweet well let's start opening these up

so we're going to start with the first

one let's see some of these at different

ways to open them some of them

have like quick tools other ones you

have to cut okay so uh what I'm going to

do is I'm going to go ahead and cut

these so you guys don't have to watch me

doing it

Wow guys we've got 36 addy is a lot of

blind bags I think we have a good chance

of getting all of them so first of all

let's see who our first guy is all you

got to put these together okay so the

first guy is BD and then our next one is

ah looks like we got jinx okay so two

bags we've got two of the characters

I'll put them together and show you them

at the end okay so we got another speedy

and then we got so you guys think we'll

get all of them in one bag I think we

got a good chance ups we've already got

three of them okay we've got black fire

here so these do come on these are like

Lego guys so that is cool

so let's see what we get here oops look

looks like another black fire as you can

see you got a leg you got the body the

head the arms actually let's go ahead

and put one of these together it's just

take too long for me to put them all

together so they snap together really

cool so like I said these are like

larger Lego characters they're bought

double the size of our regular lego guy

but they fit together like a Lego set

number okay so there we go awesome okay

then next we have up we got cyborg cool

okay

so we've already got aa four of the

characters so like I said I think we've

got a really good chance

yep we've got dark robin like I said I

will put all of these together for you I

just don't want to do it while you're

watching because this would be a really

long video okay so we've got Beast Boy

here so already we've got I believe six

of the characters we only need Raven and

Starfire to go to get every one of these

characters and this is okay so we got

another speedy and this one is okay this

is another black fire okay come on

oops looks like we got Starfire awesome

so we only need Raven I believe if you

buy a full box you do get all the

characters so okay so this one we've got

jinx

so I want to get them all put together

we'll see how many we got of each one of

those characters this one looks like it

yep that's Raven awesome so already

we're like a third of the way through

and already we've got all the characters

sweetie then we got another cyborg oh I

like the fact that they are they have

these so you could put it together like

Lego guys so I mean it's cool it makes

playability fun too because you kids

pull off like the leg who stuff like

that so uh I do believe that if you do

buy one of these a whole surprise box

that you do get pretty much all the

characters in it unless you're going

with something that's got a lot of

character

okay so another nice boy there and over

here another beast boy over here we've

got another looks like a cyborg another

cyborg and then I will also take a

closer look at these once I get them all

put together like all there are arms the

legs move and stuff so it'll be it'll be

cool okay we've got another Starfire and

here we have missed another black player

oh not another Raven cool so looks like

we've got at least doubles of all of

them okay another Raven here and over

here we've got another jinx awesome and

another like I said these are really fun

too bad there was not more than what was

just here another black fire they're

probably saving it for this theory to

most people probably don't buy a food

plot okay

together you've got a king here over

here you up looks like another dark

Robin another dark Robin

okay so we are getting pretty close to

the end here another dark robin and over

here we have our fire and I believe this

is another speedy

yep okay so we've got about seven more

left let's see who we got

okay another gar fire over here we head

up just like another Raven and then we

have another piece boy beast boys cool

ah if you never watch the show beast

boys like a green uh some type of an

alien character bought he could

transform himself with our fire into any

creature so I mean this guy transforms

himself into dinosaurs a lot of really

cool different stuff another dark robin

and last of all we have it's gonna be

our last one

cyborg so okay let me go ahead and get

all of these put together and we'll

check them out okay so let's check up

this tower so like I said it comes with

the exclusive Robin you could store up

to ten figures in the tower oh let's

check out some of the options on the

back here awesome

looks like ah they have a vehicle there

that goes with the our assess five zones

for play and

explain we store up to ten figures and

it has a garage for the t'car okay so

here is the T Tower

also this does come with the exclusive

Robin this is like the surprise bag ones

you can pop off the arms the head the

legs so on and the Cape off his back so

that is cool

ah because I got a bunch of those

characters we've just opened up so we're

going to go ahead and populate this

power once we get it checked out okay so

first of all let's go ahead and unhinge

it so this whole frock just slides right

open and over here you've got the

different environment so here you got

like a girl's bedroom there

you got like a messy boy's room over

here down here you've got it looks like

a boy's room with like exercise

equipment over here you've got a like a

laptop study area and then over here is

where you're going to go ahead and put

in your car so if you have the key card

you can go ahead and drive it right into

here I believe it actually fits in here

then go ahead and close it because the

back of this also does open up so

yes the fact of it collapses down so

that is a cool option too so you have a

cool carrying case which transformed

into awesome headquarters so these

little guys fit right in there they are

cool too their arms will turn all the

way around their waist turns and their

head will turn 360 degrees so then ah

they do have little pegs here too so you

could attach them to the pegs and play

with them and also place that cool let's

get the other one and put a ball and Wow

okay they won't all fit I got 36 of them

but I will see how much we can smash in

there okay guys so here they are all put

together first of all let's start over

here we have five cyborgs yay like I

said these are very similar to a Lego

but about twice the size they turn it

the waist their arms turn their heads

turn and then like you seem to put

together the heads to pop off the arms

pop off the legs pop off so five awesome

cyborgs and then we've got five beast

boys so if you watch the show you know

Beast Boy could transform into any

character except you know it's him

because he's always green I mean this

guy could transform into a dinosaur or a

car a building or anything but you

always know it's him because he's green

okay and then back here we have four

Speedy's I actually thought this guy

would be the most a head but it's not ah

on average it seems is pretty close to

five per pack so uh if you want all of

them I guess buy a pack

you're pretty much guaranteed to get

them all but there is speedy he is very

bad and then we have four black fires

the black by two long purple hair same

movement arms legs she looks really cool

and in the back here other thing is guys

I have not watched Teen Titans in a

while so I really don't know who all

these villains are I wish I did but what

I just don't have the time anymore but

when I did watch I watched all the

episodes they had I mean I love t-type

but it's been a while

so this one is jinx he's got the wild

look in here she looks cool but she

looks very angry and then behind her we

have Raven

so we've got four Ravens but she looks

cool too

case with everything so the the ones

that have capes the capes also do come

up and then we have five dark Robins so

this guy looks like a teenager

this isn't basically angry teenager

okay and then behind him we have dark

wire Starfire five star fighters

Starfire is the nice one I mean she's

kind to everybody she always said good

night good day unless you get her angry

if you get her angry

you better run for it okay then let's

see how many of these guys we could fit

into the tower

hahaha we fit all 36 of them into the

four rooms of the tower let's power rule

it has a lot of group and then you still

have the bottom all open for the car oh

if I open this they're gonna all fall

off check this up ah they're everywhere

ah they're multiplying like rabbits just

another nice peaceful day at the Twin

Tower the village

bending times with the good guys involve

a sudden ah PC boy was it you

you fart again now was it me yourself

owes me oh no what is this it's a

terrible team records attacking the

tower watch out Titans ah knocked it

down coming down

I'll now engulf them up like chicken

again just solo jigsaw

quick run Raven l know oh poor Raven

I'll save you guys although speedy begin

dark Robin did you stop though I don't

care

the kids Oh Robin okay you get me back

my friends whorehouse

Starfire ah okay before it's up to you

and me oh all the Beast boys left and

he's come for him

what is this something's happening he

transformed into King Kong Wow oh boy

look there scaping

back me absolutely we make these boy how

come you weren't green every time you

transform before you were green well

note all that chocolate I ate this

morning it turned my character brown ha

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha uh yeah that is

hilarious

Yeah, totally. Are you okay?

Why wouldn't I be?

It's freezing in here and you're sweating.

Some people have different body temperatures.

What now?

Uh, uh...

I bit my tongue. Owwww.

I better go get a bandage.

For your tongue?

Yeah, gotta put pressure on it

or it'll blow up like a football,

and then people will be like,

hey, did you just catch a football in your mouth?

And I'd be like, hooray, touchdown,

but not really because your tongue hurts.

Did you follow my instructions?

We found two gadgets that measured five inches!

Show her, Gino.

This one, five inches.

This one, also five inches.

I said five inches long, not high.

What?

You were supposed to measure the length,

end-to-end...

Not the height, how tall it is...

Normally I'd be really upset,

but I feel like I'm learning a really important lesson

about measurement.

What happened when you fired both?

(Both laugh)

Warhammer 40000 Dawn Of War 3 - Mission 06 A Dangerous Proposal - Duration: 46:18.

Welcome to the sixth mission in Warhammer 40000 Dawn Of War III Walkthrough.

In this mission we have to draw out the Gabriel Angelos out of his keep.

The mission is fairly easy, just use your shields properly and stay out from the big fights.

Just use your Snipers with caution, they chew Marine infantry with ease.

Once you reach the keep, the mission is straightforward, just don't forget about anti-vehicle units.

Space Marines won't do the harm here, they are outmatched here.

Very easy mission, dunno how is it possible to fail it.

Hello everyone, this is Winter! Um, sit here Mum

Hello everyone, this is Winter! Sorry! Today I'm doing a makeup tutorial and where did you..

What's this?

First of all we are starting with some eye shadow

and where did you buy this from?

My mum bought this from the pharmacy and it's called the Blushed Nudes from Maybelline.

First of all I'm just starting off with this pretty vanilla.

That's Zuma right there in the background, you can see him right there. See him?

Good job Zuma, not barking.

I'm just going to put some of this shimmery colour on my nose.

It's kind of sort of a maroon.

A maroon I've gotta rub into my nose.

Uh ha.

So it's really good how I'm doing it.

Like it on my nose?

Oh yes!

This is called Dreamy this one, it's really good. See it on my brush there?

That's pretty.

Now what is this?

Yeah but I just don't want to do it like it says on the back.

Really? I'm just going to put it on my chin.

Just a sec.

I was gonna close the door, the boys were talking so I'm back.

And now I'm just going to put, mix this with a little bit of brown

Vanilla in the corner

Yeah, Pink Diamonds

I think I'll go in with this one because I like the detail

This is really good, see?

Where do we put the highlight again?

All of the colours just blend in with a little bit of...

Now my lipstick I'm going to put on

Isn't that a pretty colour? It's pretty

I'm bad at doing makeup

I'm doing this shimmery one now, see that?

That's the one I'm using

Where should I put it?!

I just wanna put some in the corner

Good job not barking still Zuma

Brown now, this is the brown.

It's this one, it's really good chocolatey

Need to zoom in!

WATCH Whiny Libs Asked About 'Trump' Policies, Quickly Learn Brutal Truth - Duration: 3:55.

WATCH Whiny Libs Asked About 'Trump' Policies, Quickly Learn Brutal Truth

After approaching a few loud-mouthed liberals walking around Virginia, a man decided to

see just how much the students disliked President Donald Trump.

Of course, they were quick to answer a few questions about "Trump's" policies – and

he caught their immediate reaction to learning the brutal truth on video.

Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips and Amber Athey headed over to George Mason University

in Fairfax, Virginia, to see what the attitude on campus was like, pertaining to President

Trump.

As one would imagine, students were quick to express their borderline hatred toward

Trump, but they were in for a rude awakening.

Seeking to see how informed and deep their understanding of the president and his policies

went, the reporters decided to ask a few questions about Trump's first 100 days – but there

was a catch.

As it turns out, Cabot and Amber were actually asking about former President Barack Obama's

policies all the while saying they were Trump's.

All caught on video, the sniveling leftists were quick to bash Barack Obama's policies

for the simple fact that they temporarily thought they were Trump's.

As one would imagine, things quickly turned sour at the mere mention of Trump's name:

Students were quick to turn on Obama's liberal policies when they believed they were associated

with Trump.

When asked about Obama's "Apology Tour," one student said the former president "overstepped

his bounds."

"I think it's a bad thing for him," another agreed.

[Source: Fox News]

The most telling portion came as the students were asked about things that naturally fit

the leftist narrative.

Despite Obama's policies being well within their liberal ethos, the so-called "progressives"

were quick to turn on their beloved hero after being told the idea belonged to Trump.

"Knowing that Donald Trump is the one proposing it probably means that there's some turd

in the punchbowl somewhere," one moron said.

Furthermore, they weren't fans of Obama's executive order to make lawsuits easier by

loosening statute of limitations laws, even saying that Trump was only doing it for personal

benefit, even though it had nothing to do with him in the first place.

Fortunately, the pain was short-lived for the clueless liberals as Cabot and Amber would

soon reveal the brutal truth.

As one would imagine, the dumbfounded looks were more than pleasing, seeing the ignorant

try-hards realize how little they actually knew.

The fact of the matter here is that too many people in this country don't like Trump

simply because they're told not to by the mainstream media.

Unwilling to do their own research, the ignorant leftists merely do as their told and hate

Trump on account of misinformation and straight out lies.

Then again, a trusting and clueless audience makes for good foot soldiers in a pursuit

that is less than honorable.

Although leftists hate President Trump, this video makes it perfectly clear who is in the

wrong here – and it should be a real eye-opener to the liberals that merely believe everything

they're told.

Conflict - Whose Life Am I Living - Inspirational Creative Reading by Teresa - Duration: 2:54.

hi guys okay this is something I wrote

when I was on the ship i titled it

conflict and I wrote it on April 11th

2017 which made it for one one which I

thought was kind of interesting you know

later I realized it was for 411

this is what I put what I wrote when I

was taught what I was told

does not align with what I see whose

life am i living to think a way I don't

want to think whose life am i living to

do things I don't want to do whose life

am i living to be forced to take things

I don't want to take whose life am i

living to act in the way others think I

should act there's no perfect way

perfection comes from the differences we

change over time we evolve in mindset

life is not intended to live in fear

fear is control whose life am i living

to live in fear the greatest power of

oppression is to control the mind the

control is lifting the fear is gone

what's left is conflict I changed you

didn't you chose to stay stuck in the

past you chose not to talk communication

is a two-way street communication comes

without judgment communication comes

without fear to truly know someone is to

communicate without fear whose life am i

living to tell you what you want to hear

the conflict comes from a relationship

built on lies to please the one who

would never be pleased a foundation of

lies I am open I communicate you stay

silent you are not happy unless you are

being told what you

up to here which is this creates the

conflict so just wanted to read to you

guys and share with you my inspirational

reading here I've been writing a lot

more I don't know why I've just been

writing a lot more and that's something

I've kind of enjoyed doing is I don't

know where it's coming from but I just

have all these things that are just

together and coming together in a

creative way so yeah so thank you guys

Neuroscientist Shows What Fasting Does To Your Brain & Why Big - health - Duration: 9:32.

Neuroscientist Shows What Fasting Does To Your Brain & Why Big Pharma Wont Study

It

Below is a TEDx talk given by Mark Mattson, the current Chief of the Laboratory of Neuroscience

at the National Institute on Aging. He is also a professor of Neuroscience at The Johns

Hopkins University, and one of the foremost researchers of the cellular and molecular

mechanisms underlying multiple neurodegenerative disorders, like Parkinsons and Alzheimers

disease.

Id like to address the Big Pharma issue first, since there have been countless examples

of research manipulation at the hands of pharmaceutical companies in recent years. This is why Harvard

Professor of Medicine Arnold Symour Relman told the world that the medical profession

has been bought by the pharmaceutical industry. Its why Dr. Richard Horton, Editor in Chief

of The Lancet, recently stated that much of the scientific literature published today

is false. Its why Dr. Marcia Angell, former Editor in Chief of The New England Journal

of Medicine, said that the pharmaceutical industry likes to depict itself as a research-based

industry, as the source of innovative drugs. Nothing could be further from the truth.

And its why John Ioannidis, an epidemiologist at the Stanford University School of Medicine,

published an article titled Why Most Published Research Findings Are False, which subsequently

became the most widely accessed article in the history of the Public Library of Science

(PLoS).

Dr. Mattson also addresses this issue toward the end of his video:

Why is it that the normal diet is three meals a day plus snacks? It isnt that its

the healthiest eating pattern, now thats my opinion but I think there is a lot of evidence

to support that. There are a lot of pressures to have that eating pattern, theres a lot

of money involved. The food industry are they going to make money from skipping breakfast

like I did today? No, theyre going to lose money. If people fast, the food industry loses

money. What about the pharmaceutical industries? What if people do some intermittent fasting,

exercise periodically and are very healthy, is the pharmaceutical industry going to make

any money on healthy people?

Lecture Summary and the Science to Go With It

Mark and his team have published several papers that discuss how fasting twice a week could

significantly lower the risk of developing both Parkinsons and Alzheimers disease.

Dietary changes have long been known to have an effect on the brain. Children who

suffer from epileptic seizures have fewer of them when placed on caloric restriction

or fasts. It is believed that fasting helps kick-start protective measures that help counteract

the overexcited signals that epileptic brains often exhibit. (Some children with epilepsy

have also benefited from a specific high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet.) Normal brains, when

overfed, can experience another kind of uncontrolled excitation, impairing the brains function,

Mattson and another researcher reported in January in the journal Nature Reviews Neuroscience.

(source)

Basically, when you take a look at caloric restriction studies, many of them show a prolonged

lifespan as well as an increased ability to fight chronic disease. According to a review

of fasting literature conducted in 2003, Calorie restriction (CR) extends life span and retards

age-related chronic diseases in a variety of species, including rats, mice, fish, flies,

worms, and yeast. The mechanism or mechanisms through which this occurs are unclear.

The work presented below, however, is now showing some of these mechanisms that were

previously unclear.

Fasting does good things for the brain, and this is evident by all of the beneficial neurochemical

changes that happen in the brain when we fast. It improves cognitive function and stress

resistance, increases neurotrophic factors, and reduces inflammation.

Fasting is a challenge to your brain, and your brain responds to that challenge by adapting

stress response pathways that help your brain cope with stress and disease risk. The same

changes that occur in the brain during fasting mimic the changes that occur with regular

exercise both increase the production of protein in the brain (neurotrophic factors),

which in turn promotes the growth of neurons, the connection between neurons, and the strength

of synapses.

As he explains in the video, Challenges to your brain, whether its intermittent

fasting [or] vigorous exercise . . . is cognitive challenges. When this happens neuro-circuits

are activated, levels of neurotrophic factors increase, that promotes the growth of neurons

[and] the formation and strengthening of synapses.

Fasting can also stimulate the production of new nerve cells from stem cells in the

hippocampus. He also mentions how fasting stimulates the production of ketones, an energy

source for neurons, and that it may also increase the number of mitochondria in neurons. Fasting

also increases the number of mitochondria in nerve cells, since neurons adapt to the

stress of fasting by producing more mitochondria.

By increasing the number of mitochondria in the neurons, the ability for nerons to form

and maintain the connections between each other also increases, thereby improving learning

and memory ability.

Intermittent fasting enhances the ability of nerve cells to repair DNA.

He also goes into the evolutionary aspect of this theory, explaining how our ancestors

adapted and were built for going long periods of time without food.

A study published in the June 5 issue of Cell Stem Cell by researchers from the University

of Southern California showed that cycles of prolonged fasting protect against immune

system damage and, moreover, induce immune system regeneration. They concluded that fasting

shifts stem cells from a dormant state to a state of self-renewal, triggering stem cell

based regeneration of an organ or system (source).

Human clinical trials were conducted using patients who were receiving chemotherapy.

For long periods of time, patients did not eat, which significantly lowered their white

blood cell counts. In mice, fasting cycles flipped a regenerative switch, changing

the signalling pathways for hematopoietic stem cells, which are responsible for the

generation of blood and immune systems.

This means that fasting kills off old and damaged immune cells, and when the body rebounds,

it uses stem cells to create brand new, completely healthy cells.

We could not predict that prolonged fasting would have such a remarkable effect in promoting

stem cell-based regeneration of the heatopoietic system. . . . When you starve, the system

tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot

of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged. What we started

noticing in both our human work and animal work is that the white blood cell count goes

down with prolonged fasting. Then when you re-feed, the blood cells come back.

 Valter Longo, corresponding author

A scientific review of multiple scientific studies regarding fasting was published in

The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2007. It examined a multitude of both human

and animal studies and determined that fasting is an effective way to reduce the risk of

cardiovascular disease and cancer. It also showed significant potential in treating diabetes.

Before You Fast

Before you fast, make sure you do your research. Personally, Ive been fasting for years,

so it is something that comes easy for me.

One recommended way of doing it, which was tested by the BBCs Michael Mosley in order

to reverse his diabetes, high cholesterol, and other problems associated with his obesity,

is what is known as the 5:2 Diet. On the 5:2 plan, you cut your food down to one-fourth

of your normal daily calories on fasting days (about 600 calories for men and about 500

for women), while consuming plenty of water and tea. On the other five days of the week,

you can eat normally.

Another way to do it, as mentioned above, is to restrict your food intake between the

hours of 11am and 7pm daily, while not eating during the hours outside of that time.

Ultimately, a proper diet remains critical to good health, and how you think about what

you are putting in your body is an important piece of that puzzle, which I believe will

eventually be established in the unbiased and uninfluenced medical literature of the

future.

Below is a video of Dr. Joseph Mercola explaining the benefits of intermittent fasting, and

here is a great article by him that explains how he believes intermittent fasting can help

you live a healthier life.

In the Poetry Library With Phillip B. Williams - Duration: 5:02.

I think one easily get lost in trying to find a poem,

(laughs)

a poet, a style of poetry,

but then my question is what's so wrong

with being lost, or getting lost in it?

And then maybe one poem becomes a stepping stone on a path

to other poems, to other poetries, to other styles.

So the getting lost is fine

if one does not mind not knowing the answer.

Death, rot, decay, violence,

and the way that they manifest in reality,

versus the way that they manifest in our imaginations.

And so the way that I think about the grotesque is bringing

some kind of aesthetic properties to these things

that we fear, or that we find to be gross,

and showing them a different angle of them,

'cause they're natural, they're gonna happen,

they're gonna continue to happen,

whether it be an injustice or just part of nature, you know.

And so for me the grotesque is just looking at

a different kind of, side of these things

that make us so uncomfortable.

I'll say 80%, I'll go straight to the laptop

and just start free-styling, or working on something

I've been thinking about for a while.

I use a paper and a pad to do things

where I need to force myself to slow down,

or I need to work out a form

that the laptop won't allow me to do,

so it helps me to manipulate things more easily than

if I went straight to the laptop.

So with the,

the poems that are circular in the book,

I had to draw that out on paper first

before I could even,

I had to figure out what I wanted to do

before going to the laptop.

What I wanted to do in particular with that poem,

the Inheritance poem,

is make, and I wanted it originally to fold it out,

but we didn't have the funding to do that,

and so we made it so that it covers two pages,

and I wanted people to have, when they're reading the poem,

a noose in their hands.

I wanted them to have the object of the noose in their hand.

I didn't want it to be an abstraction of slavery

or oppression or lynching history.

I wanted them to have an object in their hand,

to manipulate, to have to turn it,

and physically, you know, deal with it,

and I also wanted it to be something that

when the page is turned,

it's like you're folding it away,

you're hiding it, you're putting it away.

Because Twitter only gives you, (laughs)

what is it, 140 characters?

People get very creative, very creative.

(laughs)

And just looking at the way that folks have to manipulate

the language in order to get a complete thought across

with so few characters, that has been,

that has been interesting.

There are even some poems going around that mimic

the 140 character motto or mode of Twitter,

so that's affected poetry already.

What could be argued as, be the savior of poetry

is the online journal,

where someone can publish your poem online for you,

and without necessarily having a subscription

or needing a subscription, someone from India

can read that poem, someone from Nigeria can read that poem.

It gives equal access to your work all over the world.

That's immediate.

Poetry, I think, needs that. (laughs)

I think it feeds off that kind of accessibility.

As much as it is an honor,

it's also something that's a responsibility,

and so, yes, I have these opportunities,

but how can I use them to build other opportunities

for other people,

so that we're not stepping,

always feeling as though we're stepping on one another.

It's competitive, 'cause people make it competitive,

and when I say people, I don't necessarily mean the poets.

Like, we're under a lot of duress when it comes to funding,

when it comes to jobs.

All those things interfere with the craft of poetry,

they don't enhance it.

And so as long as poetry grows at the same rate

that the community grows, I think we'll be okay.

And it'll be fine for other people to come in

as readers or writers and get lost in that,

but one can also get lost in this idea

of there's not enough, there are too many,

where is mine?

Just write, though, you know,

and learn, and read other people's work.

That's how we build a community.

That's how we build a community.

And I think that's how I do it.

I just try to steer away from all of that,

and say, "Okay, what is Yusef Komunyakaa talking about?"

Okay, Cate Marvin, she has something to say.

What does she say?

She's published it, she made it such that I can read it,

let me have a conversation with her through her work.

Let me see what Carl Phillips is talking about,

not what someone who is very upset about something,

whether it's valid or not.

I can't focus on that.

I have a poem in my heart. (laughs)

Pelosi Suffers Mental Breakdown On Live TV, Makes Absolute Fool Of Herself - Duration: 3:41.

Pelosi Suffers Mental Breakdown On Live TV, Makes Absolute Fool Of Herself

What happened over the weekend as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) sat down with ABC's

Jonathan Karl is further ammunition for those who believe the 77-year-old Congresswoman

is going senile.

After suffering an embarrassing mental breakdown on live television, she proceeded to make

an absolute fool out of herself

"Democrats retake the House," Karl said during Sunday's episode of This Week.

"How does a Democratic House, you as a Democratic Speaker, work with this president?

You've been the resistance, you look a lot like the party of 'No' right now…"

"I see everything as an opportunity.

And I've never seen so much willingness to help win.

And winning means winning for the American people, that either we win or whoever wins

understands the priorities of the American people," said Pelosi.

"And they are not with President Bush."

Instantly realizing her mistake, she threw her head back, placed her hand over her heart,

and theatrically said, "I'm so sorry, President Bush.

I never thought I would pray for the day that you were president again."

Trying her best to salvage a response to Karl's question after the embarrassing flub, Pelosi

continued, "And so you asked the question, 'How would I work with a Republican president?'

The way we worked with President Bush.

We got a great deal accomplished."

"Biggest energy bill in the history of our country, a tax bill that helped low-income

working families that we wanted and we wanted to be big, and we found our common ground,"

she added.

"The list goes on and on."

However, Pelosi didn't always feel this way.

In 2008, however, Pelosi had offered a different assessment of former President George W. Bush.

"God bless him, bless his heart, President of the United States — a total failure,

losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you

name the subject," she said.

[Source: Western Journalism]

During a similar moment of confusion in February, Pelosi said in an interview, "While it's

only been a couple of weeks since the inauguration, we've seen nothing that I can work with

President Bush on."

She didn't even bother correcting herself that time.

You'd think that with the near constant media interviews Pelosi performs she wold

have honed her craft a bit better by now.

At the very least, she should be more than familiar with the fact that Donald Trump is

our president.

Perhaps if that simple concept is so difficult for her to grasp, she ought to think about

retiring, and soon.

Although she's trying to paint herself as the left's savior and only hope, she's

quickly becoming nothing more than the poster child for term limits.

Michelle Obama Confesses To Deception In The White House At The Bitter End - Duration: 4:23.

Michelle Obama Confesses To Deception In The White House At The Bitter End

When race-baiting politics and divisive tactics are the central themes of an entire career,

deception of the public becomes second nature.

Nobody knows this better than Michelle Obama, who just revealed an intimate example of deception

in the White House.

Since the Obama family appeared on the world stage more than a decade ago, we have witnessed

one act of deception after another.

Much of the time, the lies centered on the background and history of the former First

Lady and her husband.

Take, for example, the debunked lies about the "hardships" Michelle and Barack Obama

each endured as black youths.

Then, of course, there are the well-chronicled controversies surrounding Barack Obama's

alleged Muslim heritage and his hard-to-verify birth certificate.

We could go on for some time lamenting the number of times the Obamas deceived us, but

now that they are out of public office, hopefully for good, it is likely that little untruths

will become easier to discern, as much of the political pressure is off.

Consider the Obamas' last night in the White House, for example.

According to Today, Michelle Obama revealed some behind-the-scenes happenings from the

Obama family's last moments in the White House before President Donald Trump moved

in.

Of the Obama daughters, the former First Lady said, "They had a sleepover, because of

course on Inauguration Day, because my girls are so normal, they're like, 'Well, eight

girls are gonna be sleeping here because it's our last time, and we want pizza and we want

nuggets.'

And it's like, really?"

She added, "So that moment of transition, right before the doors opened and we welcomed

in the new family, our kids were leaving out the back door in tears, saying goodbye to

people."

It is understandable that a mother and her children would tear up a bit when leaving

a home that they had spent almost a decade in, even if that mother is a self-described

independent, feminist like Michelle Obama.

However, the ever vigilant mom was quick to realize that the public eye is always watching.

"I didn't want to have tears in my eyes because people would swear I was crying because

of the new president," she said.

Evidently, Michelle Obama is passionate about her left-leaning political beliefs, but not

so passionate that she would want the world to know how devastated she was to watch the

Trump family move in.

We can understand why she felt like crying, as when Donald Trump trounced Hillary Clinton

in the election, he was certain to follow up by washing her husband's presidential

legacy from the face of the Earth.

All of that work from the Obamas was soon to be down the drain with the rest of the

Washington, D.C., swamp.

The admission about the sad exit from the White House and the public relations concern

involved were not the only blockbusters Michelle Obama dropped in her recent Orlando appearance.

As reported by AOL, she also said that she never intends to run for office herself.

"I wouldn't ask my children to do this again because, when you run for higher office,

it's not just you, it's your whole family," she said.

Hopefully, Michelle was telling the truth in that last statement.

Of course, it will be almost four years until the next president is sworn in, which allows

plenty of time for her to backtrack.

On the other hand, if Trump continues to succeed for the next four years, none of the Obamas

will want any part of a political debate against him, anyway.

Goddess Tradition Of Greece - Duration: 2:49.

The goddess's blessings are everything.

And it is very well articulated in the

Shakta tradition. Shakta is the Goddess

tradition in India. And with this

tradition that I am here, understanding

from the tradition, I am here in Greece

which is also the land of the Goddess. And

they can see the similarity between the

Indian tradition and the Greek tradition.

Only thing is the Indian tradition is a

live tradition even today. But the Greek

tradition has been a matter of

archaeology. Now people come here to, not

not for worship, but to see the

archaeological remains. But I am here to

revive the goddess energy here. So I'm

going to go to a place called Somothrace,

which is an island where this

goddess energy is very powerful. And it

was because of the goddess energy,

blessings from the goddess, that

Alexander the Great was born. Alexander's

parents went there and prayed to the

goddess. And that's where Alexander the

Great was conceived. So, now you can

understand the power of the goddess. So,

some, some day I would like to take you

there. I don't know when. But let me go

and find out for myself the energy. And

then, I will do another video on that

island and the goddesses who are still

living even today in that island.

God Bless or Goddess Bless.

⚡️ THE REAL STL STARTUP SCENE | LumoVlog 047 - Duration: 4:05.

I'm not going to tell you that I'm the most informed person.

I try to read-

I like the Economist because I like the journalistic style

of the Economist,

I like reading the NYTimes and the Wall Street Journal

because they're the papers of the

largest city in the world,

and I use a news app on my iPad

to get the majority of my news

filtered through my personal topics.

Personal bubble.

But I think everyone in this room

can spot a piece of paid-for media

better than most people.

Bullsh💩t media...

One issue I touch on is the hot button issue of

think of how many articles have been written about

St. Louis, being the next big startup city.

Fastest growing stereotype.

There's *something* behind that.

Something is behind that.

Chamber of Commerce pumping money into that...

But as a person who's been to

As a person who's been to Denver, Austin,

Nashville, and in some regards,

even places like New Orleans,

what does it look like in practice?

And to me, civic growth and growth fueled by innovation

more looks like a skyline littered with cranes,

next to a downtown, already-established center.

And we don't have that here yet.

But we also have something that

some of those places may not have had

when they started building,

a group of people who is really passionate about

the renaissance of their city.

A group of people passionate about that renaissance

for a really long time.

In talking about that particular topic,

I point to this stat about Cleveland a lot.

Five years ago, Cleveland had like 40% vacancy

in its downtown core,

and today, Cleveland has around 95% occupancy

in their downtown core.

I think when we get to that point,

we'll see a certain amount of

we'll see growth that we didn't understand

was a level that we could reach.

Which is what I'm passionate about helping to do.

Create cool programming, continue to showcase my city,

and the positive light I know it exists in,

and that I know people are invested in trying to create here.

It's about the support now in the second-tier systems

in order to get to that point.

Everyone's had experience (in this room)

with going out and trying to find that support,

we can point to things that we want to make better,

that *should* be better.

So we'll see how we do.

I'm excited though.

In fact,

when I went to talk to students at Maryville yesterday

one of them asked me,

"Don't you feel like you should've left St. Louis by now?"

And I said to her,

"If I was trying to be the absolute best photographer

that I possibly could be,

yeah, I should've left St. Louis in the dust 3 years ago.

But...

I want to see St. Louis become a better thing."

Right.

"And through this one medium,

that's one of the ways I'm trying to influence that."

Top officials in Washington, including congressional leaders, White House big shots and Supreme

Court justices, aren't really sweating over reports of imminent attacks from North Korea

or Iran.

The reason: They've got an escape plan, a prepper network that costs taxpayers $2 billion

a year for secret jets, caves and even electric and communications lifelines, according to

an in-depth review of official Washington's doomsday blueprint.

It is, according to the new book "Raven Rock" from journalist and historian Garrett M. Graff,

"The story of the U.S. government's secret plan to save itself while the rest of

us die."

Graff reveals new details about the long-standing "Continuity of Government" program that was

pushed into hyper gear after 9/11 and is currently at full alert.

Once a network of cozy caves and mountain tops where officials fled during the 9/11

attacks, it is now a much more expansive and sophisticated prepper backup.

The book is named for Site R adjacent to Camp David, that has grown since 9/11 into a sprawling

69 building facility and bunker to house officials and military in a nuclear attack.

He reveals details of a secret Air Force fleet to whisk the president away to safety and

gives the location of a runway in picturesque Upperville, Va., for those jets to land and

deliver officials to the nearby Mt. Weather FEMA bunker.

But apparently not everybody inside Washington's top offices.

From the book:

When Aaron Sorkin was researching what would become "The American President" and "The West

Wing," Clinton aide George Stephanopoulos pulled out of his wallet what the Hollywood

director first thought was a bus pass it was actually a little card explaining how

Stephanopoulos would be evacuated in case of a nuclear event.

Sorkin incorporated that card into a latter West Wing episode, where character Josh Lyman

received such a card from the national security council and felt guilt because his co-workers

wouldn't also be saved.

While shooting the scene, set consultant Dee Dee Myers, the former press secretary to Bill

Clinton, pulled Sorkin aside to tell him that the scene was unrealistic because those cards

didn't actually exist.

Sorkin was shocked: Even as a top aide, she'd never realized that her co-workers had exactly

those cards and she never did.

WHAT IS ROYALE PREMIER LEAGUE? | RPL | Clash Royale League - Duration: 4:03.

What is Royale Premier League?

I started streaming it and I'm going to explain what RPL is in this video.

What is Royale Premier League?

What is it?

RPL?

There is a Royale Premier League Europe and there is a Royale Premier League North America.

And it's basically a league tournament.

And first of all, it doesn't really matter where you're in the world.

You can participate in both of these tournaments if you like.

It's more a matter of time-zones.

Now I'm currently hosting, or I just started hosting the RPL, the Royale Premier League

Europa.

And this one is in season 2.

Season 2 just started.

and it's 16 teams playing in season 2.

How does it work?

What are the rules?

Let me quickly explain you the rules of RPL and then I will also tell you how participate

in Royale Premier League if you're interested.

And also all the information you need is of course in the video description.

Check out the homepage of Royale Premier League where you find more information on that tournament.

As I said, we are currently in the group phase of RPL EUROPA.

16 teams playing.

Those 16 teams right now are battling in 4 groups.

Group A, B, C and D. They fight in three battles of course, because it's 4 teams in a group

and the maximum points you can get if you win all of those matches is three points in

the group phase.

And then after the group phase the top teams will progress into a bracket final tournament.

And at the end of that tournament they will win a prize, I was told.

A big prize I was told.

How does it work in the group phase?

Basically the teams meat in a clan and they battle.

And 5 people play against 5 people per team.

Basically 5 people will battle and the first team to win 3 times will win the set.

Then the first team to win 2 sets will win the match.

That's how it's setup in the group phase.

And there is a special rule: when you lose a set you can chose a card to be banned in

the next set.

And all those matches are usually hosted on Monday to Thursday and Sunday.

There's always one match on Monday to Thursday and four matches on Sundays.

And they are streamed by different streamers.

It's streamed in French, Spanish and English.

Again I'm the streamer of the English RPL EUROPA.

Of course I won't be able to stream all of the matches but I think it's great content

by great players we get.

We're really going to see the top league players here in RPL EUROPA in that league.

So I'm really proud to bring you that content.

I would be proud to have people I know from my stream also play in the RPL and also play

with a team.

So what does it take to be in the RPL?

Because season 2 has already started, you can't join season 2 anymore.

But I was told there will be a season 3.

You need at least 5 players to participate in the tournament.

To build a team you need at least 5 players.

And you need a team leader.

That's the one who will coordinate with the administrators and make sure your team is

there on time when they have a match.

And then all the info will be on the RPL webpage.

Again the link is in the video description.

So I hope you enjoyed this information.

channel.

Thanks.

Have an awesome day.

16 Oldest Surviving Examples of Everyday Things - Duration: 5:07.

16 Oldest Surviving Examples Of Everyday Things

We enjoy quite a few unprecedented technologies today, but much more of the stuff that we

use has been around for ages.

Ancient humans may not have been able to text or upload selfies, but they enjoyed everyday

objects like flushable toilets, chewing gum and nice purses just like we do.

Keep in mind that these are only the oldest surviving examples of these objects – many

of these may have existed or are known to have existed even earlier.

Oldest Socks (1,500 years old)

These Egyptian wool socks, designed to go with sandals, were knitted between 300 and

499 AD and found in the 19th century.

Oldest Written Recipe (5,000 years old)

"A Sumerian Beer recipe dating back to 3000 BC.

The result beer is very strong and would contain chunks of bread floating around in it."

Oldest Sunglasses (800 years old)

The world's oldest sunglasses were discovered on Baffin Island in Canada.

They were snow goggles, designed to reduce the sun's glare reflecting from the snow.

Oldest Sculpture Of A Human Form (35,000 – 40,000 years old)

At 35,000-40,000 years old, Venus of Hohle is the oldest statue depicting a human figure.

This mammoth-ivory figurine was found in Germany.

Oldest Shoe (5,500 years old)

This 5,500-year-old cowhide moccasin was found in a cave in Armenia, preserved by grass and

dry sheep dung.

The left shoe was not found.

Oldest Instrument (40,000 years old)

This 40,000-year-old vulture-bone flute was found in southern Germany.

Some scientists believe that music may have given our ancestors a strategic advantage

over Neanderthals.

Oldest Pants (3,300 years old)

The oldest pair of pants in the world is 3,300 years old, and it was found in Western China.

Oldest "Flush" Toilets (2,000 years old)

Ephesus, an ancient city in Turkey, had "flushing" toilets.

Running water below the seats carried waste away into a nearby river.

Oldest Brassiere (500 years old)

This bra was used between 1390 and 1485 in Austria.

Earlier historical descriptions for "breast bags" do exist, but they had never been

seen.

Oldest Prosthetic (3,000 years old)

This 3,000-year-old prosthetic was used to help someone in Egypt walk again.

Tests carried out with a replica proved that it was a working, practical prosthetic, not

just a cosmetic one.

Oldest Purse (4,500 years old)

These dog teeth are all that remain of a disintegrated purse from roughly 4,500 years ago found in

Germany.

They were likely part of the outer flap.

Oldest Condom (370 years old)

This sheepskin condom was used in 1640 in Sweden.

The reusable condom came with instructions (in Latin) to clean it with warm milk to prevent

users from catching STDs.

Oldest Chewing Gum (5,000 years old)

This chewing gum from Finland was chewed at least 5,000 years ago.

The gum consists of birch bark, and was most likely used to heal mouth infections or to

use as glue.

The Oldest Recorded Melody (3,400 years old)

The oldest surviving written melody was found in Ugarit, which is now part of Northern Syria.

The music was written for the lyre.

Oldest Coin (2,700 years old)

The oldest known coin was found in the ancient Hellenic city of Efesos in Turkey.

Its one (and only) decorated side features a lion's head.

Oldest Globe (510 years old)

This old globe was painstakingly etched into the surface of an ostrich egg in Italy.

Before its age and origin were verified, it had been sold to its current owner at a map

fair in London in 2012.

Selling Fidget Spinner Toys at School - Duration: 3:09.

Today I want to tell you a short story about selling fidget spinners in school and the kids who think they're getting ripped off.

Welcome back to CapOhTV, the channel where we know school is a joke and you don't want to be the punchline.

If this is your first time here and you also think school is a joke and you want to take back control of your education,

then hit that subscribe button now.

These little spinners are SUPER popular right now and I see them every day when I'm substitute teaching.

They're also SUPER sold-out in most locations.

You see, these things are cheap to make. You can get them wholesale for $1.60 a piece if you buy them in a pack of 20.

And in a retail store, they sell for $5 to $6.

Well, it turns out that there is a kid in the high school that I substitute in for $8.

That doesn't seem like a bad deal.

In fact, I paid $7 and 80 cents for this one off Amazon because it was the only one I could find that was in stock with Prime shipping.

But, apparently, high school kids don't understand the concept of supply and demand.

A few people bought these for $8 from this one kid. Let's call him Billy.

Billy was smart enough to realize, "Hey, if I buy these for $5 at my local Walgreens (or wherever he got them),

then I can sell them for a few dollars more to kids at school and make a little money.

And these other kids were happy to buy it for $8 and spin the spinner in class and distract themselves from real work and

cause a lot of arguments over who gets to play with the spinner next!

But when they found out that they could buy these for $5 at Walgreens and they paid $8 to Billy,

they got upset and they said Billy ripped them off, they said Billy was trying to take advantage of them.

My response to them was "No, he didn't!"

Do you know how much the shirt you're wearing cost to make and to ship and to get into the store so that you could buy it?

It probably cost them eight... nine dollars.

And you paid maybe $20 for it!

You don't have any problem with that, do you?

That's called profit margin, that's called running a business.

And little Billy here is a little entrepreneur and he realized if these are sold out everywhere and I've got a few extra of them,

then I can make some money

There's nothing wrong with that!

The lesson here is: buy low, sell high, recognize an opportunity when it's right in front of you.

Now, with that said, these will be banned in most schools very shortly.

They're just another distraction from the meaningless work that you're asked to do every day.

And the school can't stand for that!

So, if you happen to be sitting on a bunch of fidget spinners that you bought for a cheap price,

then go to school, set up shop, just don't get caught.

You can make a lot of money!

Are you part of the fidget spinner craze? Leave a comment down below, let me know what you think about them!

And if this was your first time here to CapOhTV and you also think school is a joke and you want to take back control of your education,

then his that subscribe button now!

Thanks for watching, see you later, BYE!
