"WHTM ☾ WEEKLY" e07 → Testimonianze dall'Unreasonable Tour!" - Duration: 4:52.

MAK: Hi everyone! Welcome to the 7th episode of our vlog!

It took some time to record it because we had a few troubles with our rehearsal room

denunciation, lawyer letters... Well, we're moving now...

Since before and during the tour we were definitely busy

we decided to wait for the end of it to record this episode

So, first we have to say that this tour was really cool

We've played all over northern Italy, from Brescia to Turin

We want to thank Francesco Frilli from Emergenza Festival for organizing all these shows

Pino and Veronica for always supporting us

all the staff, the technicians, the bands, very nice and kind

so in this episode we'll tell you how these concerts were

AKI: How were these concerts?

Surely they were amazing to us, a great experience

great staff that helped us all the time, beautiful stages of all sizes, great sound and what else?

Thanks to this we gave 110% in every single show!

MAK: Indeed, the most beautiful thing about this tour is that

all of these places gave us the opportunity to express our best

thanks to both the audience and the equipment, the stages

especially Cap10100 in Turin, how big was it?

GED: 8x8

MAK: 8x8?

AKI: 48

MAK: In addition to those 48 square meters, one th-

GED: Actually 8x8 is 64, but who cares?! That's ok!

MAK: The most important thing while on tour is to always keep a healthy lifestyle

in order to succeed day after day to express yourself at the best

MORSE: When it comes to healthy lifestyles, we are always on the forefront

Thanks to a diet full of fibers, minerals, vitamins...

And most of all, dotted with soft drinks and detox, herbal teas, and what else?...

In addition to this you also need some physical activity to keep fit

to always be able to be at the top on stage, never to get unprepared...

What else? The pictures testify.

GED: Moreover, it is very important for us to make a really grateful thank you to all the people who were under the stage during these shows...

It was amazing to see some people under the stage at a distance of a few days

AKI: Exactly, most important they didn't want any money from us and didn't have a knife to kill us, so beautiful!

GED: Yeah, really cool...

Meanwhile, this Sunday we'll end the shootings of Killer Party's video with a model we will not reveal the name

and around mid-month we should have the video ready

Keep following us on our social networks so that we will keep you up to date about the progress of shooting and video release!

MAK: So, to conclude, it was a very exciting tour for us

We've seen a lot of people under the stage listening from the first to the last note

We have received so many compliments and criticism, which give us the motivation to be better and better on stage

But above all this tour gave us the encouragement to bring the band to a next step, at a higher level

it was like a great confidence injection!

We would love this to be the We Have The Moon's standard

Before saying goodbye, we thank all those who have followed us since the very beginning

those who have begun to follow us while on our path

and those who will follow us in the future, hopefully so many

because you have always given us the strength to go on

*clap*

MORSE: That said, see you soon guys!

And remember, for any question write us in the comments!

MAK: Hi Veronica! Hi Pino! Hi Francesco! See you next time!

World Press Freedom Day: Stop Online Harassment - Duration: 1:12.

Press freedom is the core of good governance

democracy, the people's right to know.

It's a huge problem

because it adds to self censorship

You have women who say that I don't want to write online or

I don't want my story put online

because I just..

I don't want to be harassed and followed by these people.

When these threats get to the point of where people are talking about

beheading you or raping you

or raping your child

or kidnapping your child

then it should be reported.

But, above all they should not respond

because it just engages the troll and the problem gets worse and worse.

So, If we can get our male counterparts

journalists

and people in the community at large

to lift their voices and say "This is not acceptable."

And also when people see these sort of comments being made

online

we would encourage them not to share it

don't like it

don't forward it to anyone

and report it!

Gideon v. Wainwright - Duration: 5:39.

Mr. Beat presents Supreme Court Briefs

Panama City, Florida

June 3rd, 1961

Sometime between midnight and 8am, someone breaks into the Bay Harbor Poolroom and steals money from a cash register.

One witness reported that they had seen a man named Clarence Earl Gideon walk out of the poolroom at around 5:30 that morning,

walking out with a wine bottle and his pockets filled with wads of cash

Gideon, a drifter who spent most of his adult life in and out of different prisons for nonviolent crimes, was an easy target.

Police arrested him for breaking and entering and trying to steal.

Well, as it turns out, Gideon had no money.

Because he couldn't afford a lawyer, he asked a Florida Circuit Court judge to appoint one for him, claiming the Sixth Amendment of the Constitution guarantees everyone a lawyer.

The judge was like, "sorry dude," and denied his request.

Florida law only allowed the court to provide a lawyer if the defendant was charged with a capital offense, or one so serious that death might be the punishment.

And so, Gideon was left to represent himself, and most say he didn't do that good of a job defending himself.

The court found him guilty of the accused crimes and sentenced him to five years in prison.

While serving his sentence in a Florida state prison, Gideon began to teach himself law, which made even more confident that his rights were being violated when the Florida Circuit Court refused to provide a lawyer for him.

From his prison cell, he hand wrote a letter directly to the Supreme Court.

Not only did the Supreme Court actually read his petition, they agreed to actually hear his case.

Gideon's lawsuit specifically went against the Secretary of the Florida Department of Corrections, who was a dude named H.G. Cochran.

However, Cochran went up and done retired, and was replaced by another dude named Louie Wainwright.

So Gideon was suing Wainwright. Get it? Gideon v. Wainwright?

Anyway, the Supreme Court was being all nice and assigned Gideon a well established Washington, D.C. lawyer and future Supreme Court justice named Abe Fortas to represent him.

As it turns out, the Supreme Court had been waiting for this opportunity.

Back in 1932, in Powell v. Alabama, the Court had decided that people accused of crimes should both be notified that they have the right to a lawyer and should be provided one if they can't afford one.

However, this only applied to capital offenses.

And then, ten years later, the Court decided in Betts v. Brady that, unless there were special circumstances, people didn't have to have a lawyer provided for them by the state.

Well, with Gideon, the Court said THE HECK WITH YOU BETTS.

No, not Mr. Betts. Betts v. Brady. They overturned Betts v. Brady.

On March 18, 1963, the Court announced unanimously, in favor of Gideon.

It argued that the Sixth Amendment doesn't point out a difference between capital and noncapital cases.

It also said the 14th amendment gave the federal government authority to control state laws that denied 6th amendment rights.

The decision did not free Gideon from prison.

Rather, he got a new trial with a new lawyer provided by the government of Florida.

The new trial took place August 5, 1963, five months after the Supreme Court decision.

His new lawyer completely discredited the original case against Gideon.

The jury found Gideon not guilty after just one hour of deliberation. Gideon was free.

Gideon v. Wainwright further protected the rights of the accused, which the Warren Court would also do again three years later with the Miranda v. Arizona decision.

Hey check out that episode if you haven't already.

The decision also greatly expanded the power of the 14th amendment, protecting individual rights against both federal and state laws that threatened them.

The decision created the huge increase in the need for public defenders, and today Americans take it for granted that a lawyer will be provided for them if they can't afford one.

However, sadly, today many states do not provide adequate funding for their public defender systems.

As matter of fact, the state of Missouri (or Missouruh) was recently sued due to this.

Speaking of Missouri, that's where Gideon was buried after he died in 1972 after living the rest of his life in relative obscurity.

Gideon's grave was unmarked and largely forgotten until 1984, when the American Civil Liberties Union placed a granite headstone on his grave.

On the stone is a quote from a letter Gideon had written to Abe Fortas before the Supreme Court saw his case.

It says, "I believe that each era finds an improvement in law for the benefit of mankind."

I'll see you for the next Supreme Court case, jury!

Roles You Didn't Know Were Played By Twins - Duration: 4:29.

Everyone knows that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen used their super twin powers to bring Michelle

Tanner to life on Full House.

"No way Jose."

But a twin stepping in as a body double or playing half of the role isn't just reserved

for fussy toddlers.

Identical twins have popped up in lots of films and TV shows without you ever noticing.

And while some on-screen doubles aren't quite perfect fits…

"My name is Julius, and I'm ya twin brother."

"Oh, obviously!"

...you might be surprised at some of the roles that were played by twins.

Sophia Burset in Orange is the New Black

One of the slickest twin twists in TV history is in the Netflix smash, based on Piper Kerman's

prison memoir.

Creator Jenji Kohan and her crew tried to use transgender icon Laverne Cox in her character's

pre-transition flashback scenes.

But the episode's famous director wasn't buying Sophia as "Marcus" ...

"And Jodie Foster directed this episode, so I was like, 'I'm gonna have to butch it up,'

because Jodie I don't think believed that I could, I could pull this off.

And I go to Jodie, and she looks at me and she's like, 'we're going to have to hire someone.'"

Fortunately, they didn't have to look far.

They decided to hire Cox's identical twin, a composer and singer who performs under the

name "M. Lamar," who proved to be a perfect fit.

He had no previous acting experience or training, but you wouldn't know it — his performance

and look was so seamless, most viewers probably just assumed it was Cox in the role of Marcus,

aided by Hollywood magic …

"My friends were like, 'How did they do that, was that like CGI or something?'"

Sarah Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Science fiction fans and critics raved over Linda Hamilton's badass performance in T2

"You broke my arm!"

"There are 215 bones in the human body.

That's one."

… and in a few scenes, audiences were graced with double the Hamilton, most notably when

the T-1000 mimics Sarah Connor.

Director James Cameron didn't need to break out the early-'90s CGI magic or pull an old-school

Patty Duke split-screen...

"One pair of matching bookends / Different as night and day"

Cameron simply used Hamilton's identical twin sister Leslie to get the shot.

Xander Harris in Buffy the Vampire Slayer

In the season five episode "The Replacement," Xander lovers were treated to a double dose

of sarcasm and snark.

"What if we do if this doesn't work?"

"Kill us both, Spock!"

To pull off the trick on a skimpy TV budget, the show used a very lo-fi solution: Nicholas

Brendon's identical twin brother Kelly Donovan.

Brendon, however, still performed both roles — Donovan only spoke when both Xanders had

lines in the same scene.

"Cover your eyes!"

"This?"

"It will melt your brain!"

Claire Kincaid in Law & Order

Actress Jill Hennessy was once so busy in her role as assistant district attorney on

the long-running NBC procedural she literally needed to be in two places at once.

Fortunately, she has a twin who happily filled Claire Kincaid's shoes.

In 1996, Jacqueline Hennessy worked as an uncredited stand-in for her sister in a few

scenes in one season six episode because Jill was busy filming a crossover episode of Homicide:

Life on the Street.

This wasn't Jacqueline's first time on camera.

The Hennessy sisters made their film debut as twin escorts in the 1988 David Cronenberg

film Dead Ringers.

Court Foster in The Man in the Moon

Actor Jason London, best known for his role in 1993's Dazed and Confused, made his film

debut in the 1991 coming-of-age drama The Man in the Moon.

His twin Jeremy — best known for Party of Five and Mallrats — was actually the one

who wanted to audition for the film and convinced his brother to drive him there.

Jason read for the part, too, beating his brother out … but Jeremy was still involved

with the production.

While Jason got to do all of the acting — including kissing Reese Witherspoon in her film debut

— his twin brother Jeremy was on hand for all the unglamorous stunt work … including

the infamous tractor incident.

So...that sucks for him.

The Matrix

Though the 1999 science-fiction classic used cutting edge special effects for some revolutionary

shots, the Wachowskis chose to go practical for the agent training scene.

As Neo walks through the stream of people, if you look closely, you can see that faces

keep repeating.

That's because the crowd is full of identical siblings.

The directing duo said they couldn't afford to pull off the effect digitally at the time,

so they ended up hiring as many twins or triplets as they could find in Sydney, where the film

was shot.

So if you've ever wondered why that scene felt extra creepy, there's your answer.

What You Should Know About J Lo's Sister Lynda - Duration: 5:29.

Jennifer Lopez may be a global music superstar, but her younger sister Lynda Lopez has quite

an impressive entertainment career all her own.

Born on June 14, 1971 in New York, Lynda began her career in broadcasting, and later took

on larger roles.

Don't worry if you haven't heard much about Lynda before — here's your crash course

on everything you should know about Jennifer's baby sis.

Decorations of a different sort

While her older sister was busy building her musical empire and racking up Grammy and Golden

Globe nominations, Lynda Lopez was focused on growing her career as a journalist.

Starting in the late '90s and running through the early 2000s, Lopez worked as a VJ on VH1.

Reporting on all things music, she even interviewed her sister Jennifer about her childhood, career

and rise to fame.

"I don't know, we've just always kind of been kinda best friends in that way"

At the same time she appeared on VH1, Lopez was working as an on-air reporter focusing

on entertainment news.

In 2001, she and her colleagues took home the award for Outstanding Single Morning News

Program at the 44th annual New York Emmy Awards.

Parenting inspiration

Lynda Lopez welcomed her first child, a daughter named Lucie Wren Lopez-Goldfried, on August

28, 2008 with her then-boyfriend, Adam Goldfried.

The couple eventually split and Lopez became a single mom.

When that happened, she turned into a major source of parenting inspiration for her older

sister.

"That's right.

That's RIGHT!"

J.Lo, who became a mother to twins in February of that same year, told Cosmopolitan in 2013,

"I just love and respect her so much.

I always ask, 'Do you need anything?

And she's like, 'I'm good.'

But I know she's exhausted.

She's a single mom but not like I'm a single mom ... I have a lot of help — she doesn't."

Bridging the gap

Following some major changes on the American Idol judging panel, Jennifer Lopez joined

original judge Randy Jackson and rock legend Steven Tyler in 2011 as one of the show's

musical experts.

That same year, Lynda Lopez was recruited by a radio station as a special correspondent

tasked with reporting on all things American Idol.

When the announcement was made, it was reported that she might also end up reporting other

newsy tidbits, but that, not so surprisingly, her ultimate focus would be to keep a close

eye on her superstar sister's newest gig.

Which was smart because, ya know, getting backstage access was a breeze for her.

"The white top with the red lips."

"Yea."

"You never do red lips, see?"

"I know, I was feeling red that day"

Early onset independence

During a 2013 interview with the United Nations Foundation in support of the Every Woman Every

Child initiative, the sisters were asked to share the best piece of advice they ever received

from their mom.

As they revealed, it was all about being a strong, independent woman — a lesson that

clearly continues to stick with both women to this day.

"Being independent was such an important thing'"

"I was going to say the same thing I think I felt like she really instilled in us to

be self-sufficient not depend on anybody."

Family foundation

After Jennifer and Lynda both became mothers in 2008, they decided to join forces and launch

the Lopez Family Foundation in an effort to help women and children get better access

to quality health care and health education, regardless of their income.

As explained on the foundation's official website, the Lopez Family Foundation "advocates

and invests in policies and programs that make a positive, measurable impact on communities

and makes quality healthcare and health education available for underserved mothers and their

children."

In 2010, the foundation opened a telemedicine center in Puerto Rico, then followed that

up with the launch of seven centers in Panama.

In 2014, the sisters opened the Center for a Healthy Childhood in the Bronx, which "promotes

healthy eating, exercise and improve outcomes and access to care for women, children, and

families."

In addition to founding the Lopez Family Foundation with Jennifer, Lynda Lopez is also a co-chair

for the Global Moms Relay, "a digital campaign to rally celebrities, leaders, and supporters

to share stories of motherhood and raise money to support women and children."

Since its founding in 2013, the impressive initiative has raised $1.6 million to help

families in need.

The relay asks celebrities and community leaders to share their personal stories in an effort

to raise money for one of five causes that help women and children in need, and Johnson

& Johnson then donates $1 for every social reaction the stories generate.

So, for the Lopez sisters, having a strong digital presence can pay off.

Returning to radio

In 2016, Lynda Lopez enjoyed a huge coup when she joined ABC Radio as one of the hosts of

GMA After Hours, a lifestyle and entertainment show that airs on the radio and offers a fresh

take on the popular Good Morning America format.

The show includes four content segments per hour, all of the biggest trending music, and

more.

The new role was just the latest in a line of truly impressive accomplishments for Lopez,

whose career up to 2017 included covering lifestyle and entertainment news for the likes

of Fox, The CW, VH1, CBS Radio, and more.

That's quite a series of career accomplishments for the supposedly lesser-known Lopez sister,

no?

Deutz engine smoke problem - Duration: 7:40.

Hey folks! Great you're watching again!

Overhere we have our terrific Deutz

We drove it last time and we all saw it was smoking on one side

When it was running we checked which cylinder stayed cold

Now we know it is this cylinder which causes the problem

It can have several causes; it can be a faulty injector

But it is also possible the cylinder itself is broken, we'll find out

The plan is to check the injector first, I brought a testing device

so we can see if it sprays good

If that's not the issue, we'll open that cylinder

to see how it looks on the inside. I'm afraid that will be the issue..

Because I have seen something, I will show you

See, this is the bad cylinder

Deutz, at least this Deutz is aircooled

You can see here's a lot of rubbish on the cylinder

It seems a mouse lived there

I suspect that cylinder became too hot and therefore got scruffed

But, maybe it isn't that bad and is it only the injector

Ideal, we can work on height

Like this we can work perfect on that

We removed the fuel lines

That's the injector

Fuel enters on this side and it sprays on that side

into the cylinder

If the injector is bad and it drips instead of spraying

And then the fuel does not burn, because it's important the diesel vaporises first

What is that?

An injector tester

In fact it's just a pump, with a manometer

We can check at what pressure the injector opens and if sprays

Lucky enough I kept this thing at my place, so it hasn't burned

we went inside to test

That's good

It sprays nice

The injector is good, so that's not the issue

That's a pity, because that was an easy fix

So, we are going to remove the cylinder head and see how it looks on the inside

First we remove the exhaust, then the intake

and then the cylinder head

That's some luck, because Deutz has separate cylinders

So we can just remove one head and look inside

Ideal! I wish all engines were like that

The inside looks better then the outside

That looks nice and clean

Like new

The exhaust,

The intake

Some more parts..

Look at that, Bas is busy removing the head bolts

They're pretty tight

this one's loose

I see it moving!

all three bolts have been removed

That's it! The cylinder head

Huge cylinders..

I guess we found the issue

Where did that piece go?

I think it went throught the exhaust

A piece of the valve has broken off

I think the cylinder will be damaged as well

Maybe we're lucky, but we should move the piston down

It can be a cheap fix

You can see it part of this valve is missing, it was round

You can see a lot of imprints of that part. It has been bouncing around in the cylinder

The part is gone, but it might be inside the exhaust

I hear some debris, but nothing comes out

I see some debris in here to, he crushed it I guess

That's possible

We want to see how the cylinder is looking

and therefore the piston should go down

We can do that by hand, but we can also do it electric

It doesn't look bad

That's the good position

It isn't new.. it sat a long time I guess

I see a little rust-pitting

a bit rough overhere

But if we polish it a bit with scotch bright.. it will get better

I think it's good enough

I see a large hole in that piston, what's the use of that?

That's the swirl chamber

The injector sprays fuel into the swirl chamber so it will spin and vaporizes better

Hey folks, we've seen what's wrong with it

We put it somehow back together to prevent dirt getting into the engine

Put a garbage bag over the open cylinder

There's the head, I take that with me and I see if I can find another valve for it

So we can put it back together

See you next time and thanks for watchin!

Seeya!

Secrets The Lottery Doesn't Want You To Know - Duration: 7:05.

You may have a better chance of getting hit by a meteor than winning the lottery, but

that temptation to win the big jackpot is hard to resist.

"Three days wasted looking through 200,000 lottery tickets."

"Those weren't the lottery tickets.

That was a test.

THESE are the lottery tickets."

After all, what harm could spending a few dollars do when the right ticket could completely

change your life?

Well, more than you think.

Before you start buying weekly scratch-offs or planning the mansion you'll be buying with

your Powerball winnings, here are some lottery secrets you really oughta know...

Preying on the poor

States run their lottery programs because they consider it a harmless way to make money.

CNN reported that, in 2014, the citizens of the 43 states with a lottery spent a whopping

$70 billion on it…

More than all other forms of entertainment

"Which means Americans basically spent more on the lottery than they spent on America!"

But the spending isn't distributed equally through the classes.

North Carolina found the poorest counties had the highest lotto sales:

"Out of the 20 counties with poverty rates higher than 20 percent, 18 had lottery sales

topping the statewide average of $200 per adult."

In other words, poorer people are more likely to spend more money on the lotto, because

it represents a dream to get out of poverty.

The government isn't completely innocent in giving poor people this dream, either.

The lottery has been accused of targeting low-income communities through their advertisements.

"Can I ask you, if you won all the money, what would you do with it?"

"Bunch of hookers and cocaine."

"Oh OK, that's not good.

We were hoping for a different answer."

A Carnegie Mellon study found that "lotteries set off a vicious cycle that not only exploits

low-income individuals' desires to escape poverty but also directly prevents them from

improving upon their financial situations."

So, states may be increasing their money flow, and that's good.

But they're doing it by keeping poor people poor.

That's not good.

Scratch-off blues

People don't just get hooked on the regular, "pick your numbers" lottery.

Scratch-offs are huge business.

A common assumption is that since the payouts are smaller, the chances of winning are better.

But no: all lottery chances are objectively horrible.

"Down to my last lottery ticket.

Cherry.

Cherry!

Mule.

Crud!"

In New York, the scratch-off with the best payoff averages a payout of 88 cents per dollar.

This $30 "Win $1 Million a Year for Life" ticket is so good, you'll only lose $3.60

every time you play!

That's still a lot better than the "Lucky Tripler," a not-so-lucky dollar scratch-off

that pays out only 59 cents on the dollar.

Most of the scratch-offs in the $1 to $10 range pay off around 61 cents per dollar,

making them at least the second worst investment idea ever.

"Aha, once again the conservative sandwich-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor!

Oh!

I'm ruined!"

The lottery tax

If the government called the lotto by its proper name, sales wouldn't be soaring — because

the lottery should be called a tax.

For starters, according to a 2002 paper by Professor Ross Rubenstein of Georgia State

University, the lottery basically taxes you just for playing:

"Although purchases of lottery tickets are 'voluntary,' the implicit tax on a dollar

spent on a lottery product is not voluntary, just as sales taxes paid on purchased goods

are not voluntary."

But some analysts go even further and argue that the lottery itself is a tax, working

the same way as an income tax or a property tax.

Only instead of an income tax, where the government gets paid proportionately to what people make,

the lottery taxes the poor by a ridiculously high margin.

"I have a joke for you."

"Ok."

"The government in this town is excellent and uses your tax dollars efficiently."

(Laughs)

States have a pretty good incentive to keep this going.

In 2009, 11 states made more money from the state lottery than they did from corporate

income taxes.

In Rhode Island, the lotto brought in more than twice as much as corporate taxes.

But it's all worth it if you hit the jackpot, right?

Well...even then the state governments get a juicy payout.

Anyone who wins more than $600 will get the thrill of paying a 45-percent tax.

Then...at least all that tax money is going to a good cause?

Not so fast...

Education

Okay, so the lottery's not good for poor people, but it's helping schools, so we can't get

rid of it.

Think of the children, right?

The California Lottery alone raised $1.39 billion and gave $97 million to the Los Angeles

Unified School district for the 2014–2015 school year.

This can't possibly have a downside.

Can it?

"They've used it for things like supplies, laptops, even tools for an automotive class."

"Sockets, ratchets, wrenches, pliers..."

Except that of course it has a downside.

Often, the money goes into the state's general fund.

From there, the money can be used for anything, which means the income from that "Education

Lottery" doesn't always end up in schools.

Even when states do allocate lottery money to education, legislators can factor all that

sweet lottery cash into the budget and start giving out fewer government funds.

In the end, education spending stays exactly the same — or gets worse.

According to Russ Lopez, the spokesman for the California Lottery:

"The California Lottery was created to supplement public schools.

Not to totally fund public schools, not to resolve all their problems.

[...] So we don't do a lot for schools; it's a modest contribution."

Retailer scams

Okay, the odds aren't great, and the wrong people are targeted, and schools don't actually

get much of anything.

But at least lotto winners get the fun of cashing in their tickets with no problems,

right?

Of course not.

Lottery retailers scam people all the time!

This isn't some ingenious, number-running business — it's a pretty simple con.

They just...lie.

Retailers will often take the winner's ticket and say, "This isn't a winner."

Then, the retailer keeps the ticket and cashes in the winnings.

It's not quite a brilliant scheme, but it works.

Several states have had to conduct sting operations on retailers where customers have complained.

The undercover cop gives the clerk a "marked" ticket and arrests them when they try to claim

the winnings.

"They found the store owner did scam the developmentally disabled woman out of her lottery winnings."

Sure, that undercover cop might not get the same bragging rights as the guy who, say,

infiltrated a Mexican cartel, but it does curb the rampant scamming.

Winning to lose

Even if everything else is bad about it, at least the lottery gives a new lease on life

for the few lucky ones that defy the odds and win millions.

Except, people don't usually do well with a sudden fortune.

Forbes reports that a third of lottery winners end up bankrupt, and many more suffer from

increased rates of depression, divorce, and suicide.

That's not to say that every lottery winner throws all their earnings away, but a lot

of them do.

Billie Bob Harrell, Jr. is a particularly sad example of winning gone wrong.

Harrell won $31 million, and only 20 months later he was broke and divorced, and eventually

killed himself.

Before he died, he said, "Winning the lottery is the worst thing that ever happened to me."

Man, the lottery sucks.

If you want to feel like a winner, there's a much better option out there:

"Make sure the mushroom's on top, and you put it in the hole.

Then just wait.

Jackprot!"

One Question Bill Nye Doesn't Know How to Answer | OVR THNKR #34 - Duration: 3:02.

Bill Nye The Science Guy has some deep thoughts to share with us

about death

BILL NYE: "It sucks, man!"

Part of me genuinely questions how credible Bill Nye is

Technically he's just a guy that got a degree in mechanical engineering and decide to start a

children's show but now he's the source of wisdom for everyone who grew up watching him but he

doesn't stop with science for kids he also gets into

existential philosophy for adults. In answering this guy's question Bill Nye supposes that the

non-existence of the afterlife is actually what motivates us to live good lives because they

think that if it were true that we lived

on after we die then we might just commit crimes and jump off a cliff to get there sooner to the

perfect infinite state. It fails to answer a more relevant question which is: why are we

here? What is the purpose of life?

If the after life and God exists

then that would indicate to me that maybe our lives on this planet

exist for some purpose and that would mean that no I would just go commit crimes or kill myself

because there would be a reason

for me to be alive now. But contrary to this idea Bill Nye argues that we don't have to live forever

in order for our lives to be meaningful according to evolution -- BILL NYE: "You just have to be good enough to

pass your genes on

after that

evolution if it were an entity doesn't really care about you, man. And so I encourage you

to live your life as best you can everyday."

Did you hear that? On the one hand he takes the theory of evolution to its

logical conclusion which is that everything reduces down to pass on your genes and die but then

somehow believes still that that motivates a moral lifestyle. Bill Nye clearly believes in

absolute moral truth he doesn't think that we should

commit crimes he doesn't think it's okay to kill yourself but ultimately he has no foundation

for his belief in these absolute truths because he also believes that nature only cares about our

ability to create more meaningless lives. And since when is

perpetuating the process of evolution even the right thing to do? Where does that even come from?

If this video demonstrates anything it's that Bill Nye has no basis for his belief that our lives are

meaningful and worth living well

zero. Because the afterlife, the idea that we're not God, is the foundation

that right and wrong truly exist

and that life can possibly

carry any meaning

I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments about this do you believe in the after life yes no

and if so or

no

then why? Thanks for watching this video I hope you enjoyed it these OVR THNKR videos come out

Microsoft's NEW Surface Laptop - Perfect For Students? - Duration: 5:47.

Hey guys, Brainy here with a Brand New video and if you've been paying attention to What's

been going on this week, Especially with Microsoft and their Education event which was held on

the 2nd of May, You'd know that Microsoft announced a brand new Laptop, Which is named

the Surface Laptop.

So I thought I'd update you guys on what you should know about this new Piece of Tech.

Inside the Surface Laptop on the base model, which will debut on June 15th priced at $999,

is Intel's latest Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB SSD.

Microsoft is using a 13.5-inch PixelSense display, running at a 2256 x 1504 resolution,

along with support for the Surface Pen and touch.

It's a 3:2 aspect ratio, so it looks just like a Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book display.

The Other much higher end model has a 512GB SSD, 16GB of RAM, and an intel i7 processor

. Microsoft has made the Surface Laptop display

look like it's glued directly to the keyboard without a hinge, thanks to a repositioning

of the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas.

On the right-hand side there's a Surface connector for power and connections to docks,

and on the left there's a regular USB port, a mini DisplayPort, and a headphone jack.

Unfortunately, Microsoft hasn't added USB-C here, and that's disappointing given that

the majority of high-end laptops are shipping with at least one USB-C port.

An article from the Verge actually Stated that they asked Microsoft why there were no

USB-C Ports, and the answer was very interesting.

The responses all pointed to a lack of maturity in USB-C with power and cable issues, and

just a broad lack of market adoption.

Microsoft felt its target audience for the Surface Laptop would be more likely to make

use of a mini DisplayPort and traditional USB port than the new USB-C connections.

And I kinda get it since this thing is actually intended for use by students.

Now, another interesting thing that you should know is that With this Surface Laptop comes

a new-ish operating system.

Windows 10S.

It's designed for education and to take on Chromebooks and Chrome OS.

Just like Google's own OS, Windows 10 S is fairly locked down in places and you'll

only be able to run apps from the Windows Store.

As I just stated, The biggest change to Windows 10 S is that it's locked to only work with

Windows Store apps.

That means you'll need to find apps in the Store to download and install them, and many

desktop apps like Photoshop and Chrome simply aren't in the Store yet.

Microsoft does allow developers to port their desktop apps into the Windows Store, but not

many have taken advantage of this feature just yet.

Microsoft is adding its full suite of Office apps to the Windows Store, and Spotify has

committed to bringing its music streaming app to the Store.

And again, I'll mention that this device is targeted at students who will most likely

not need to use apps such as photoshop or adobe premiere unless they're doing some

sort of special course.

Also, Microsoft claims that security and performance will both be improved with Windows 10 S. Apps

won't be able to run unless they're packaged and available in the Windows Store, so that

should help prevent malware and unnecessary app helpers from running at boot up.

Microsoft has also improved the first sign-in process of Windows 10 S, with better login

times which will help in environments like schools.

Microsoft will support alternative browsers in the Windows Store, but Windows 10 S users

won't be able to alter their default browser.

That means if you click on a link from an app in Windows 10 S then you'll be forced

into Microsoft's Edge browser.

That's similar to Google's Chrome OS, which only lets you use Chrome as the browser.

Microsoft is also locking down Microsoft Edge to only work with its Bing search engine in

Windows 10 S. That means you won't be able to switch to Google search to easily type

in queries in the address bar or elsewhere, and you'll have to access the search service

through Google.com.

Which is kinda time consuming at times, but it's an easy wall to climb.

Fortunately, if you need desktop apps that aren't in the Windows Store then Microsoft

has a quick fix for Windows 10 S. For $49 you can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and get

access to desktop apps.

On a low-cost device this seems reasonable, but it's an additional cost for more premium

devices.

We haven't seen many of those announced with Windows 10 S yet, but Microsoft's Surface

Laptop will include a free Windows 10 Pro upgrade until the end of the year.

So that's a bit of relieving news right there.

The Surface Laptop starts at $999 and goes up from there, which is not the price range

most people would immediately associate with a student laptop.

(It's £979 in the UK and AU$1,499 in Australia.)

But according to Microsoft VP of Devices Panos Panay, the man in charge of the Surface line,

the Surface Laptop is indeed for students -- specifically college-bound ones looking

to invest in a serious PC to get them through years of higher education.

But many of the other Windows 10 S laptops demoed at the same event will cost between

$189 and $299, so the Surface Laptop represents a pretty significant price jump over those.

So that's about it for the basics of the Surface Laptop.

If you liked this video, learnt anything new or want more.

Feel free to leave a like, comment below and subscribe for new videos every single week.

Check out previous video using the links provided in the description below and also there a

link to check out the surface pro on Microsoft's site.

Thanks for watching and I'll be seeing you in the next video.

Bra Mistakes You Didn't Know You Were Making - Duration: 5:47.

On a scale of one to 10, how much do you hate your bra?

If you're like most women, you're probably thinking at least an 11 — right?

It doesn't have to be that way, ladies!

Correct these bra mistakes you're probably making, and, before you know it, you'll be

demanding…

"I want a Bra! (bra bra bra bra)"

The dreaded measure

Let's just start with the obvious here.

Size totally matters — especially when we're talking about bras — so finding your size

shouldn't be a guessing game.

Unfortunately, most women aren't wearing the bra size that fits them best.

In fact, one study published in the journal Chiropractic & Osteopathy found that about

80 percent of women were wearing the wrong size bra, with the vast majority of those

women wearing bras that are too small.

If you spend all day tugging on your bra — or dread putting it on in the first place — there's

a good chance it's the wrong size.

It's pretty miraculous how much better a bra feels when it actually fits, so get a professional

measurement the next time you're out shopping.

Wrong choice

Those demi bras are cute, but they're not going to do the job for a gal with a larger

bust.

It stands to reason that larger breasts require larger, fuller cups to keep the girls in line,

but there's more to it than that.

One expert told Women's Health there are seven different types of breasts.

Your natural shape has a lot to do with what kind of bra will fit and look best on you.

For example, women with side-set breasts need a bra that will bring them together, and women

with tear-drop breasts need something with a little extra lift.

Hooked on tightness

If you're buying a bra you fasten on the tightest hooks, you're probably buying too big of a

band.

Bra fitting specialist Bobbie Smith told The Huffington Post you should actually purchase

a bra that fits on the loosest hooks when you buy it, because you'll need to tighten

it up later.

She says,

"A bra is going to stretch about three inches in its lifetime.

That's when you go to the next set of hooks."

Got strap-adjusters?

There is absolutely no need to spend all day moving your bra strap back up your arm.

Instead, make sure you're adjusting your straps every time you put your bra on.

Lingerie designer Mariana Hernandez told Prevention that washing and wearing your bras causes

the straps to loosen, so they need to be tightened frequently.

It also may be a sign your bra is too big, or that it's worn out and ready to be replaced.

Your wonky band

Take a look at the back of your bra in a mirror.

Does the strap run in a straight line across your back, or is it arching up toward your

neck?

If it's not a straight line all the way around, it probably doesn't fit.

Lingerie fit and style expert Jenny Altman told Women's Health a bra band that rides

up in the back is either too big or needs to be closed using a tighter hook.

Style rut

One bra style doesn't fit every need — that's according to Elisabeth Dale, author of The

Bra Zone.

She told Today that every woman should have several different styles of bras — as many

as nine, depending on your wardrobe — so you always have the right fabric and cut to

seamlessly complement your outfit of choice.

One size does not fit all

You accept that size fluctuates with the rest of your clothes according to fit and brand

— it's time to believe that to be true with bras, as well.

Lingerie expert Jenny Altman told Women's Health that not all bras — or their sizes

— are created are equal.

She says,

"Think of it like jeans.

You might be a size 28 in boyfriend jeans, but you may need a bigger size in skinny jeans."

You'll likely need to do the same size adjusting when you swap bra styles.

The t-shirt test

Unless you're planning on walking around in just your bra all day, you're going to need

to know what a bra looks like under your clothes before you buy it.

Bra fit specialist Kay-Lin Richardson thinks every woman should bring a T-shirt when she

tries on bras.

She told Cosmopolitan,

"They might think a bra looks great, but then they put a T-shirt on over the top and realize

it actually isn't giving them the shape they want.

Or they might feel so-so about a bra and then put the T-shirt on and realize it's perfect."

Two days too much

It's not a big deal to wear your bra more than once before you wash it — most women

probably do it, whether they admit it or not — but it is a big deal to wear it two days

in a row.

Bobbie Smith told The Huffington Post,

"Letting a bra rest at least one day in between wear will help the elastic regain its strength.

When you're wearing it two days in a row, it's like pulling on a muscle — it's going

to strain it and it won't be able to snap back."

Time to update!

Bras are expensive, so we try to make them last for a long time — probably longer than

we should.

Lexie Sachs, a textiles product analyst, told Good Housekeeping that you should be ditching

your bras if they've lost their shape or elasticity, are too small, or are just plain uncomfortable.

Sachs says the lifetime of most bras is six to 12 months, but she added that you can stretch

that time by rotating your bras and leaving time between wears.

Stack attack

Folding your bras may be the easiest way to get them to fit in your drawer, but it's also

a good way to wear them out faster.

Lingerie designer Elodie Giorgis told The Huffington Post,

"Bras should be stacked inside one another, never twisted with one cup inside the other.

This will distort the shape of the bra, particularly foam cups (that will tend to crease and dimple)

and also increase the chance of wires being displaced."

Squeaky clean

It's so easy to throw that bra in the washing machine and call it a day, right?

But according to lingerie expert Claire Chambers, that's not a great choice if you want that

bra to last very long.

She told Harper's Bazaar that, in most cases, your bras should always be hand-washed.

"Hand-washing sounds tedious but it's actually pretty easy...Combine your similarly-colored

delicates in a sink of warm water, and add a delicate wash that's specially formulated

for lingerie.

Swish around a few times, gently squeeze and then lay flat to dry."

Chamber explained that if you simply must wash your bras in the washing machine, you

should use the gentle cycle, utilize a lingerie bag, warm water, specialized lingerie detergent,

and never use the dryer.

She says,

"You should always lay your lingerie flat to avoid stretching out the band or straps."

But if you do dry your bra?

Just...keep calm.

"many times do I have to tell you?

'You don't put a bra in the dryer!

It warps!"

"Please.

It's a bra."

4 Signs We Do Not Live in a Free Country - Duration: 9:05.

4 Signs

We

Do Not Live in a Free Country

A man without a government is like a fish without a bicycle. ~Alvaro Koplovich

Just as a fish does not need a bike, a man does not need a government.

Especially not an oppressive one.

As it stands, our government is cruel and arbitrary; certainly not free.

Ironically, in a form of double speak amidst a flare of smoke and mirrors, statist propaganda

has us believing that we live in a free country.

When its more accurate to say that the government uses the term freedom as

a distraction to keep people docile and under control.

Let the sheep believe they are free and they wont fight to become free.

Meanwhile, covertly fence them in with outdated laws and an oppressive militarized police

state, while convincing them its all in place for their own protection. Easy:

Then it just takes care of itself.

The conditioning and brain-washing kicks in with just a little boost from cognitive dissonance

and soft slavery enslaves itself statists gonna state.

Lets break it down.

1.

We live in an oligarchic plutocracy disguised as a democratic republic.

We may have democracy or we may have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few,

but we cant have both. ~Louis Brandeis, Supreme Court Justice

In our country, money is power.

Money concentrated in the hands of a few means power concentrated in the hands of a few,

and since power tends to corrupt if it goes unchecked, the people must be free to check

it, lest tyranny prevails.

But because of reason number two in this article, the people are not free to check it; and here

we are, slipping into tyranny.

If we lived within a horizontal democracy, we would be free.

No masters, no rulers, and hence, no chance for power to become concentrated in the hands

of a few.

Easier said than done, sure, but nothing worth doing was ever easy.

As it stands, it is impossible to live freely within an oligarchic plutocracy.

the plutocrats will simply buy up power by creating oppressive laws and legal extortion

rackets that keep the people without wealth and power in a permanent state of being poor

and powerless.

Add to that the use of lobbyists and a fiat currency based on debt, and you have a nation

of hoodwinked debt slaves under the delusion that they live in a free democratic republic.

2.

We have an overreaching militarized police force.

All things are subject to interpretation; whichever interpretation prevails at a given

time is a function of power and not truth. ~Nietzsche

Ive written this one into the ground, but it bears repeating.

this particular dead horse needs to be beaten, over and over, until enough people become

aware of it for a tipping point to occur.

Most of all, police need to become aware of it and make amends for the error of their

ways.

It begins with changing their minds.

We live in a police state.

Bottom line.

When the police force is offense-minded, overreaching, and militarized, there is no doubt about it.

People are not free if they cannot drive from point A to point B without being harangued

and harassed, by threat of violence and force, from an offense-minded cop pushing an immoral

extortion racket based on the breaking of a petty law.

And all to meet a quota.

Sick!

And dont delude yourself for a second that ruining peoples lives over petty speeding

tickets or failure to stops is anything close to justice thats just your statist

brainwashing blinding you from the truth.

And thats just the tip of the iceberg of the offense-minded police forces gross

overreach of power.

They are judge, jury, and executioner in the street way too often these days for any free

humans comfort.

Cops have way more power than any single human should have, and no single human should ever

have that much power.

At least not in a free country.

3.

Taxation is not voluntary.

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. ~Dwayne

Dyer

When taxation is forced, one cannot say they live in a free country.

Taxation is not optional in this country, therefore this country is not free.

Bottom line.

If one decides not to pay their taxes, they are threatened with violence and/or prison

if they dont pay.

That is point-blank extortion.

And since it is being done by an authoritarian government, it is naked tyranny.

If one feels like paying taxes, then by all means, pay.

Thats fair, because thats voluntary.

But if the state is using its monopoly on violence to get money out of you, that is

not fair, because that is extortion.

It really is that simple.

If freedom is primary then voluntarism is paramount.

4.

We have an oppressive bipartisan voting system that simply does not work.

The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum

of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum. ~Noam Chomsky

When the voting system fails, then democracy fails.

Or, in our case, the illusion of democracy fails.

A voting system must be democratic, and it must be horizontally democratic, if it is

going to be effective at preventing entrenched power from corrupting.

When it cannot prevent power from becoming entrenched, then it does not work for the

freedom of the people, it works toward the control of people.

And here we are.

As it stands, we have a voting system that works well from bipartisanship, but does

not work well for free human beings.

The Republican/Democratic debacle were all forced into voting for is a tragic failure

of monumental proportions.

The power of republicans is too entrenched.

The power of democrats is too entrenched.

They both monopolize votes to the extent that voting other than this bipartisan fiasco is

a wasted vote.

And a wasted vote does not bode well for a free democracy.

Add to that the influence of big money (plutocracy rearing its ugly head yet again), then you

have a voting system set to control rather than progress the freedom of the people.

At the end of the day, it comes down to individuals being free to live, love, and prosper without

a group of others forcing their values (rules and laws) on them through threat of violence.

No masters, no rulers.

As Epictetus said, No man

is free, who is not master of himself.

10 Worst Red Carpet Dresses - Duration: 5:16.

We all like glamorous celebrities and they often look amazing on their red carpets.

But their elegant taste doesn't always make us gasp in admiration.

Some are just unfortunate, others make you burst out laughing, and there are some that

are just plain horrible.

We present you 10 worst red carpet dresses.

In 1995 an Oscar holding costume designer made a dress for Lizzy Gardiner out of 254

American Express Gold cards.

And she did put on this hideous gown for the red carpet.

Later on the dress was sold at auction for $12,000 to support fight against AIDS.

But we'll never know how much Lizzy got for advertising American Express.

In 2010 Lady Gaga literally dumbfounded everybody at MTV Video Music Awards.

Her dress, hat, boots and purse were made of raw beef.

But she didn't stop at that and soon Japanese Vogue magazine published her photos where

she was wearing a meat bikini.

Having such a vast choice, Gwyneth Paltrow picked this precise dress in 2002.

Even looking at her face it's clear that she screwed up real bad.

Years later after this event Gwyneth admitted, "I still love the dress itself but I should

have worn a bra."

On the 2001 Oscars red carpet, Icelandic singer Bjork turned up in a dress that went down

in history of the ceremony as the worst outfit ever.

Icelandic star has always been known for her non-standard approach to her looks, but that

night she outdid herself by wrapping into a swan carcass made of veiling.

During the 2007 Oscar ceremony Jennifer Hudson appeared in a rather cute dress of a chocolate

color, but her image was ruined by a metallic bolero.

Fortunately, the singer realized that and went on stage without it.

Back in the 80's Cher was already the one to constantly shock the audience by her unusual

outfits, but in 1986 she raised the bar and turned up in a dress with a headpiece with

rooster feathers.

Although looking more like a showgirl than a famous singer, Cher put this dress on as

a sign of protest after being accused of wearing too extravagant dresses.

In 2010 Charlize Theron shocked the audience by wearing a Dior dress.

When she stepped onto the red carpet, her lilac gown seemed to be pretty cute sidewise.

But as she turned, everybody froze.

It looked like cinnamon buns were attached to her breasts, which completely spoiled her

image.

Nicki Minaj always wants to be in the spotlight, so in

2012 she turned up at the Grammy Awards ceremony in this horrible blood red Versace dress with

cape.

Perhaps the dress would look better if it didn't have this scary Gorgon.

And it's unclear why Nicki Minaj brought a priest with her.

Does she really think it's a nun's dress?

Joy Villa's dress can hardly be called a dress at all.

It was made from recycled wastes and did not conceal her nipple tape or thong.

This outfit cost her less than $30 and was named the most absurd one at that Emmy ceremony.

German model Micaela Schafer found a great use for old VHS tapes and came to "Men in

black 3" premiere in this VHS dress.

The dress, if it can be called so, basically didn't hide anything and the guests could

easily spot the model's breasts.

The only real clothing she wore were black thongs.

Cephalopods! | JONATHAN BIRD'S BLUE WORLD - Duration: 11:44.

Today Jonathan investigates the amazing world of suckers!

Cephalopods!

Welcome to Jonathan Bird's Blue World!

An octopus is on the prowl, looking for an unsuspecting fish to pounce upon.

A cuttlefish is hunting with mesmerizing colors to distract its prey.

A school of reef squid hover in the water column.

What do these magnificent animals have in common?

They are all cephalopods.

Cephalopod means "head-foot" because this animal's head (the part with the eyes) is

connected to its feet.

The part out in front that looks like a head is actually the body.

And in fact biologists don't call those things feet, they are called arms.

So cephalopod is actually a terrible name, but it's what we have got.

Squid, octopods, cuttlefish and nautiluses are all members of the class cephalopoda,

but the really weird thing is that cephalopods are mollusks.

So they are related to animals like snails and clams, which seems a little crazy.

This is based mostly on their internal construction, not their outward appearance.

Perhaps the most obvious difference between most cephalopods and other mollusks is the

apparent lack of a shell.

The octopuses do not have shells at all.

The squid have a small internal shell.

Nautiluses are the only cephalopods with an external shell.

Nautiluses are found in the South Pacific and Indian oceans, typically in deep water.

Cephalopods have well-developed nervous systems, much more sophisticated than other mollusks.

And they can be quite inquisitive.

The cephalopod eye is one of the most notable examples of convergent evolution in all of

the animal world, because this eye evolved from completely different ancestors than the

eyes of mammals, yet it turned out to function in almost the exact same way.

Cephalopods, therefore, have extremely good eyesight.

Of course the most well-known of the cephalopods are the octopuses, named for their eight arms.

They are masters of disguise, able to change colors and skin patterns instantly.

With no shell, or bones the octopus can fit through tiny holes.

They make terrible pets because they can escape from virtually any aquarium!

The octopus has a mouth with a beak used to bite prey.

A hunting octopus often balloons over a rock to trap a fish.

Then it will use venomous saliva to kill the prey when it bites.

But the Blue-Ringed octopus of the South Pacific has venom so powerful that the bite of this

octopus is lethal to a human.

The mimic octopus is said to mimic other animals in order to hunt or evade predators.

This one has a convincing flounder imitation going on, but it's unclear how looking like

a flounder is advantageous.

It might just be the most efficient way to swim and stay camouflaged—convergent camouflage

if you will.

A coconut octopus in Indonesia carries a shell so that when the need arises, she can hop

inside and hide.

This clever behavior makes the octopus a tool user, putting her in a category of animals

considered more sophisticated and intelligent, like monkeys and dolphins.

In the cold water of Puget Sound, a Red Octopus is carrying a crab home for dinner, walking

on the tips of its arms.

That takes coordination!

Nearby, a

Giant Pacific Octopus breathes by drawing water into its mantle, a cavity in its body

and squirting it back out through a siphon.

Not only does this move water over the gills, but it gives the octopus the ability to squirt

water.

The siphon can be used for jet propulsion, squirting an octopus away at high speed.

A reef octopus in the Caribbean not only squirts away from me, but leaves a smoke screen behind

in the form of an ink cloud.

Squid and cuttlefish are similar to octopuses, but their small internal shell makes them

rigid and torpedo-like.

So, while the octopus often crawls along the bottom, the squid and cuttlefish like to jet.

In the North Atlantic Ocean, Longfin Squid cruise through the New England shallows.

But when they get annoyed by my camera…they can produce ink too.

More than 8 thousand miles away from New England, the waters of the Philippines are warm and

clear.

After the sun goes down, a Flamboyant cuttlefish comes out to hunt.

While the octopus has eight arms, the cuttlefish and squid actually have ten.

Eight of them are of the same length, while the other two are extra long, and used to

grab prey.

These two additional arms are called the tentacles.

Cuttlefish are often quite curious, and sometimes come right up to my camera for a look.

Their skin patterns change rapidly thanks to skin cells called chromatophores.

At the New England Aquarium in Boston, there's an exhibit where you can watch cuttlefish

up close.

And when you look carefully, you can see the chromatophores working.

At feeding time, the cuttlefish pay close attention, and they turn on the camouflage.

Then the cuttlefish strikes.

Even slowed down to one quarter speed, it's lighting fast.

With a high speed camera, a flamboyant cuttlefish blah blah

In another tank, a Giant Pacific Octopus guards it eggs.

All cephalopods lay eggs to reproduce.

Octopuses tend to guard their eggs.

Back in Indonesia, the Coconut octopus is releasing thousands of baby octopus hatchlings

from her clutch of eggs.

She carried them around for months while they incubated.

Squid and cuttlefish do no such thing.

The Atlantic Longfin squid lays its eggs like most squid…cigar shaped bundles of eggs

attached to the rocks or kelp and left to fend for themselves!

The Flamboyant Cuttlefish eggs are about the size of a pea--laid on a rock.

Soon a baby cuttlefish is born.

The cephalopods are an amazing group of animals.

It's hard to imagine such advanced animals being closely related to such primitive mollusks

as the conch.

Cephalopods can change color and texture with chromatophores, they have extremely sharp

eyesight, multiple arms that are capable of complex tasks, and they are clever enough

to use tools!

They are definitely one of my favorite inhabitants of the Blue World.
