Hey guys. It's Billy

So I'm not going to be doing another cover or anything in this video

I just wanna share something with you guys.

I've never really told you why I started this channel.

This BILLbilly01 channel

So today I'm gonna tell you that

I did it because of my dream of becoming a rockstar.

Ever since I was little

Even before this rockstar dream

Just like every other kids, my dreams kept changing

So if we go back even further

I used to love pen spinning.

I do have many pen collections

Then I just love Rubik's cube speed solving.

I've done a lot of these stuffs.

By that I mean doing and getting serious with everything

like I was going to turn it into a profession.

So I could be good at everything but I could never know what I was best at.

Until one day that I discovered

dancing. . .

And then

I was really getting into it

It really opened up my world unlike anything I've ever done

moving through music.

And before I knew it, I was in a crew

We were moving through music together

It was a whole new experience for me.

I basically got obsessed with practicing, entering dance competitions, and even YouTube.

My hormones were raging every time I dance

Releasing endorphins and stuff that makes me happy.

I was really sure that dancing was the thing for me

and then, just like other kids, there were times

I wasn't so sure anymore.

I really get that feeling of pressure, and in the end, made me doubted myself

I used to have this tutting idol

And one day he commented on one of my videos

He's not Thai by the way

In his comments he wrote

"You called this tutting? if you did then you should quit."

I was stunned.

And then somehow, with that comment and all the doubts

I lost faith in dancing.

So I quit

I was wandering around, trying to find something new to do

But I was still listening to music and still felt like dancing to them

So then I discovered that

I like music

So I learned to write songs

I quit dancing and pursued music

I really like band music and I wanna have a band of my own.

So I did form a band

Tilly Birds was my first band with Third Keeth

But during the same time, I was also in another band

Which we went to audition for this show at school

We were totally whack

And we didn't get any slot, like ever

Back then, we felt so bad

I was thinking like

If I play this bad, can I actually become a musician?

So that band stopped

And then I. . .

learned to produce

And when I started to cover songs

It took me to a completely new world (again)

Meeting these singers and making music with them

And producing with these amazing singers

It was an honor

I don't know how to say it but I was happy

And I had a great time

And also very challenging

Because I never study any of this

So could I ever be as good as them?

But on the other hand, they inspired me to be good

So I kept making covers every saturday

And at one point, I brought Tilly Birds back into my life

We finished our first song

and finally released it

It really was the first single of my life

A couple of days after

I went through the hardest time of my life

with my family

It was a problem that

made me think that

everything I thought was my family

everything I thought I could rely on

suddenly disappeared

I was a mess

I got so lost

I didn't know what to do anymore

I even thought about quitting YouTube

I didn't even know what was the point of everything I've done anymore

because in the end, it just died

along with what I called my family

I was down

didn't know what to do

One day, didn't know why I did it

I was watching my old covers

and somehow

they triggers something in me

I thought

those covers aren't that bad

I was happy about it

I was happy

I asked myself once again "what's next?"

"What do I do with my life now?"

"Working in an office?"

"Getting regular jobs?"

It was a clear no to me

Totally not

I couldn't imagine myself working 8-5

I'm not against those jobs but I just

I just don't see it

I just can't. I would totally suck

I know it

And I will never be happy about it

But what I've created

It felt so right

I feel good every time I do it

I really like doing it

I really like making music

I really like entertaining people through music

And then I told myself

no matter what

my life has to orbit around music

I can never leave this spot

I have to live with music

It is what I like

It is the only thing that could ever cured me

And it did

Music literally saved my life

It lit up my darkest nights

Even though I felt like I had nothing left

I still have myself and music

so what?

My guitar's still here

so as my piano

I can still make music

So why the hell am I not doing it?

And somehow

my life was back on track

and things started to get

better

One day

My channel hit 1 million subscribers mark

It was a big deal

One million people are actually following me

and then Tilly Birds released our first EP

Many songs in that EP hit the chart

and then we setup a

mini-concert

Over a hundred people came that day

just to see us play

and singing along to our songs

that we wrote

It was. . .

*out of words*

I'm not here to say that

I'm already successful or something

I'm not even close

If I was really that successful

I should be playing at Glastonbury

and other biggest music festivals

and touring around the world

this is not even close

I'm just getting started

start my dream of becoming a rockstar

So that's it. That's the story I want to share with you guys

Now I want you all to share

your dreams

When you're in a gallery, museum or other cool cultural spots,

you should always remember to keep the volume down.

I've been spending lots of time in galleries lately,

practicing my sketching.

What do you think of my latest design?

I know, I know. It's not what I was looking at exactly.

I was just so inspired!

There's so much beauty all around you at a gallery.

You should take a look...

...but don't touch!

In fact, there are a couple of other things to keep in mind.

For example, don't bring bulky backpacks or food in with you

The cloakroom and the cafeteria are the places for them.

Otherwise you might accidentally damage the artworks.

When looking at the art, take a few steps back to see the whole picture.

There's no need to rub your nose against the picture, right?

Also, let's agree to be mindful of other people, so everyone can enjoy the art.

And, of course, take your time!

It's not a race.

I always end up spending way more time in galleries than I think I'm going to

And when I'm done, I always leave feeling super inspired and motivated.

Ooh, I almost forgot about one of the most important things!

Keep your phone on silent mode and in your pocket while you're in the gallery.

There's a time and a place for Instagram

and that's before you go into the gallery,

not while you're inside!

Just be present and enjoy the moment.

Enough of the rules!

Art is there to be enjoyed.

I love going to big galleries with famous masterpieces,

just as much as visiting tiny exhibitions by young, unknown artists.

You can find galleries in small towns, big cities, and everywhere in between

You should totally explore them!

Stupid Reason My Very First Business Failed After 21 Days - Duration: 3:03.

- I want to talk to you today about

the first ever business that I started.

So let's jump into it.

The first business I started

was a podcast called Music Process.

It was in 2011 and it failed horribly,

so I'd love to talk about why that happened.

In 2011 I got my first internship

as an audio engineer at an NPR station at my college.

So I was working at the college

and I noticed that a lot of bands were coming in,

and I was also getting pretty into indie music.

So I thought that the market might find value

in a podcast where I would interview bands

and try to get the story behind each song.

There's a couple of good podcasts out there right now

that are like that, but nothing was like that at the time.

And I actually did end up talking to a bunch of good bands.

I talked to Fishboy, Rachel Platten,

a few of these indie ones that were up and coming.

Rachel Platten's actually pretty big now.

But it was a standard first business, right,

it had no real monetization strategy,

I even hired a coder to build the website for like

$1,500 or $2,000, he took a percentage of the business,

like it was total garbage.

But the main reason the business failed

is right before I started the company I sat down

and I wrote down a to do list that was step by step.

So day one do this, day two do this, day three do this,

day four do this, up to I think about 21 days.

And I had a lot of willpower in the moment.

There's this quote from BJ Fogg

who does psychology over at Stanford,

and he says that when you have little spurts of motivation

you're supposed to use your motivation

to make to do lists or build systems

rather than using that motivation to work.

And the reason why that is is if you use

that little bit of inspiration

to create a system that keeps you working for longer,

then you're doing more work overall

versus just using that little bit of inspiration

to get a tiny bit of work done.

So I did that and I did my 21 day to do list,

and I was working through it, right,

interviewing the bands, putting it up on the site,

no promotion by the way, I had no marketing plan at all,

and the reason why it failed, stupidest reason ever,

is on day 21 I hadn't created another day

for the to do list, there was no system set up

in terms of every day I should be

doing these three things on the podcast.

It was literally me brainstorming every single day

trying to figure out what to come up with.

So on day 21 I just didn't do that,

and so my to do list item for day 21

was come up with the next 21 days to do list,

but it was too big of a task, I just didn't do it.

And because of that there was no

to do list and the company failed.

That's literally as simple as it was, right?

And that's why I focus so much now

on systems and so much now on hiring.

I talked about this in a previous video,

but the only reason Experiment 27

didn't have the exact same fate is because I hired somebody.

I hired Robert to do content production

while I focused on sales.

So every single day he was pinging me,

asking me hey, what's the next project,

what's the next thing that we're working on,

and that's the thing that kept me focused.

Before that, I was never able to go more than 21 days.

Hi, Today I want to show you.

How I will make this bracelet from beads.

For my friend.

I will use strong and stretchy cord

and around 100 green beads,

84 blue beads

and 12 yellow beads.

I need cord long around 1.5 meter. ( 60 inches )

I will start with green beads.

I take one green bead

and I will fix this bead close to the end of cord.

and I will make a small loop around this bead.

Now I use 6 green beads

and I will go through the second bead from the needle

Now I use again 6 green beads

and I will do this same.

I will go again through the second bead from the needle.

I will repeat it

and I will make Zig Zag

This bracelet I will make for my friend

and she have a bigger hand than me.

On the end this video you can saw

that this bracelet is to big for me.

You can make this bracelet smaller by one top

Now I will make a flowers.

First I use one green bead

and 7 blue beads.

Now I will go again through last blue bead from needle

and I will make a loop

Now I use one yellow bead

and I will go through third blue bead.

and I use one green bead.

and I will fix the flower to the second side Zig Zag.

I will make these flowers on this side of the bracelet.

and now I will make flowers on the second side

of the bracelet. This same way.

I remove this first green bead

and on the start of bracelet

I will go through these 4 beads

and on the other side these 2 green beads.

end on the end of bracelet again

I will go through second bead.

and I will make a stable knot.

I Hiding the Knot.

and I have finish.

And I have finish.

I finished this bracelet

and I have a nice gift for my friend.
