Youtube daily report Nov 9 2017

During these last days, at some villages and cities from Catalonia, banners like these have apppeared glued to the walls.

Maybe you've also seen some grown ups with a yellow lace pinned to their clothes.

All of them are asking for the same: freedom for this group of ten people that you see in the picture, currently in prision.

These two are the presidents of two independentist groups: Jordi Sánchez and Jordi Cuixat.

They've been jailed for 20 days.

The other eight were part of the Catalonian government and have been jailed for five days.

Some say they're political prisioners.

Wait a moment. What is a political prisioner?

Well, a political prisioner is someone who's jailed for their political ideas.

For thinking and acting different than the people ruling the country.

In the case of the people we're talking about, some believe they've been jailed for being independentists

meaning that they're political prisioners and it's unfair for them to be in jail.

But also there's many people who thinks otherwise, that there are no political prisioners in Spain

and that they should be in prison because they've committed a number of crimes.

Very serious crimes, they believe.

And how is that a part of the Catalan government is in jail?

Because Spanish Justice accuses them of bypassing constitutional rules,

the ones that regulate every Spanish law, in order to achieve the independence of Catalonia.

They're being accused, for example, of rebellion.

But, what do you mean? What's rebellion?

You see, rebellion, in this case, is to cause a lot of people

to take the streets using violence in order to change fundamental things of a country.

Catalonian politicians say they haven't done that because there's been no violence

and everything's been organized peacefully.

However, part of the Spanish Justice System believes there's been violence.

Now, it's being investigated and the judge has decided

to send the Catalonian politicians to jail for now. That's called "Provisional Prison".

What's "Provisional Prison"? I don't know what is it, what is it?

While a person is being investigated, the judge can send them to prision in very specific cases.

For example, in case there's a risk of fleeing or destroying evidence, and this is what the judge has considered.

Not all the Catalan government members are in jail.

There's five that have gone to Belgium. Carles Puigdemont , the president, is amongst them.

They don't want to be judged in Spain because they say the trial wouldn't be fair.

Since they don't want to go back, Spanish Justice has decided to ask for the Belgian Justice to extradite them.

Extradite? What does it mean? I don't get it, Extra...what?

When a court wants to judge someone who's in a different country, they can ask them to send him back.

It's called "to extradite", and it must be approved by a judge from that country.

And that's what the Belgian Judge is considering.

Until he takes a decision, he's decided to leave the five politicians free, on the condition of not leaving Belgium.

Lars von Trier: Making You Uncomfortable - Duration: 14:28.

The films of Danish director Lars Von Trier are all about confronting the viewer.

Watching his movies, we feel he's being slightly violent towards us.

And yet -- while there are plenty of other directors and films out there that go for

the same shock value -- what sets Von Trier apart is that, on the other end of that violent viewing

we may be changed.

He's not shocking us for the sake of it

although we do get the sense he's enjoying it quite a lot.

But he's also forcing us to confront taboos, people or ideas that challenge us

and he makes us question why we're uncomfortable,

and whether we could open or adjust our minds to be more truthful.

He exposes that, despite what we think we know, on the deepest level we're probably

not being truly honest with ourselves.

"For him, the artist is a provocateur.

The role of the artist is not to answer the questions of the meaning of life or pacify you,

But to confront you."

"This ain't rock n' roll, this is genocide"

As Joe in Nymphomaniac articulates her hatred of taboos, it feels she's articulating something

of Von Trier's own philosophy on the subject.

"Excuse me, but in my circles, it's always been a mark of honor to call a spade a spade.

Each time a word becomes prohibited, you remove a stone from the Democratic foundation."

Von Trier's The Idiots is about a number of healthy people who enjoy acting like they

have mental disabilities.

Like Nymphomaniac which includes a very graphic self-performed abortion,

it's a film that's guaranteed to anger many people.

Just as Joe's listener criticizes her for talking about her abortion in such a graphic

way, which is a meta-comment on the film's choice to show it the same way.

Some may at that point, or many others in Von Trier turn off

"Serious abortions, the ones that save lives, far from our social spheres

you can't endanger them, just because you provocatively insist on showing the gory details"

The conversation between Joe and her listener echoes and dramatizes

the debate he imagines the viewer must be carrying on with the film itself.

Voicing our protests for us in order to discuss them

But Von Trier wants this clash, this violence

The whole point is to make us challenge think about our taboos, even if that just means that we're

going to defend them to our unlistening screen.

But by charging into this taboo territory, Von Trier does access something extremely unusual

He's challenging us to confront and possibly rewrite our opinions and feelings

on topics that we don't like to think about and so often haven't actually thought about in any rigorous way.

Even if we may espouse strongly held opinions or political stances on them

We avoid what falls into the category of uncomfortable.

But for Von Trier the things that make us uncomfortable are a battle that calls to us

We have to face them to discover ourselves.

So it's not that he could get the same result by choosing another topic

it has to be the things that we don't want to talk about and don't want to look at

"All of the sudden, she knew the answer too her question all to well

If she had acted like them, she could not have defended a single one of her actions

and could not have condemned them harshly enough"

"You can't think about what he's doing without considering how he wants you to have

a strong response, and revulsion is one of the strongest responses."

"AntiChrist is a film clearly about grief and about trauma.

And it is a film that is itself traumatic. Rather than allowing you to observe trauma

it forces you to feel it, and to confront it and experience it.

"you want to look away but you can't.

Same thing with Nymphomaniac where it is deliberately challenging your idea of sexuality on film."

And Dancer in the Dark, where he seems to be tormenting the character.

He's also happy to make himself uncomfortable as a filmmaker.

He's constantly exploring the power of limitations

"We talk about this, you know, having control or giving away control.

If you have some limitations when you work, like these rules or like other things, you are forced kind of to use your imagination."

Von Trier's visual style likewise underlines this feeling of discomfort and immediacy.

His style is wrapped up in his past as co-founder of Dogma 95 movement.

He and director Thomas Vinterberg started that movement to reject common Hollywood clichés and production standards,

Vowing to make movies using almost nothing artificial

at all (including lights, dollies, or even genre plot devices like guns or a crime).

Following Vinterberg's Festen, The Idiots in 1998 was the second Dogme film produced.

"So Lars Von Trier's biggest influence on world filmmaking is being part of the dogma movement or starting the dogma movement with Thomas Vinterberg.

So restrictions we often think of as obstacles, for Von Trier, what dogma says is everything you confront as an artist is an opportunity to be creative.

And it's also anti-Hollywood. He's basically saying Hollywood is a system of storytelling conventions and encouraging people to think in other ways--

think outside of them and use your inherent creativity as a filmmaker and to come up with solutions to these restrictions"

Limiting himself this way might not result in the best possible film; it certainly won't

result in the most perfect film.

Yet for him, it will yield the most interesting film, the most illuminating experiment, that

reveals something both about human nature and about the power of the film medium itself.

Von Trier is still all about the handheld camera and unobtrusive, natural lighting.

His stripped-down visuals feel as if anyone with a camera might just walk into a room

and film this, almost like a documentary meets an improvisation.

And this combination of a doc-improv feel underlines his relationship to truth.

He's seeking to capture a truth by putting a camera into a dynamic, slightly dangerous

situation, and seeing what's revealed.

"I think so many films today have the dogma look to them.

I think that the idea of the restless moving camera is something that comes from the dogma tradition or the dogma movement.

Derek Cianfrance's Blue Valentine is kind of like a dogma film,

in the way that it seems sort of haphazard and it's construction, seems like very arbitrary,

and there doesn't seem to be real like a rigorous approach to composition,

but what it has instead is the dogma approach-- trying to get the truth, emotional truth

out of the scenes and have the actors be invested in that performance

and so their solution to having a very low budget film is to insist on authenticity.

Lars Von Trier's influence is often prompting other directors to seek that kind of authenticity."

Meanwhile, interplaying with this naturalism, he also introduces gestures of artifice and

stylization into some of his films.

Look at Dogville, which is set up like a high-school production of Our Town.

Seeing a movie that looks beautiful is a comfort to us -- but by making his movie look this

way, Von Trier is refusing us this comfort.

"What star is that?"

Melancholia, too, while it's generally filmed in a Dogma style, opens with a highly stylized

sequence that evokes a painting -- making us think about how melancholy may appear beautiful

when seen from an artful distance, compared to the actual reality of depression that we're about to see.

The opening, like the introduction to an opera, introduces the film's leitmotifs and expresses in a few images

what we are about to see in the drama.

Dancer in the Dark uses jump cuts, not unlike the French New Wave,

and it plays with color

changes and camera changes to designate the musical parts and the real-world of the film.

But he often reserves these stylized parts for a key sequence, a key moment or something that he wants emphasize

in contrast to the main body of the film.

Near the ending of Dogville, this change to the shot of Nicole Kidman among apples, which might be a

very normal shot in another film, gives us an almost radical feeling of relief.

"His films are described often as metacinematic.

They're about the artist's role in society and the artist's role in the world

and they're also about the nature of filmmaking itself.

His films often have these kinds of structures where you're very conscience of the structures,

and you have in The Dancer in the Dark a musical. Musicals are supposed to be happy and upbeat,

and it's the most despairing, depressing musical ever made.

And the idea is to make you think about filmmaking,

to make you think about what happens in a typical movie and to give you something else"

Von Trier's films often follow a general structure of exhilaration and intellectual seduction,

that's followed by a downfall,

an exposing of the ugly truth or the downside

of the ideas he's presented more appealingly at the start.

Many of his films have this dual structure: Melancholia has two parts.

In the first, Justine played by Kirsten Dunst is a bride, attempting to commit to a happy life

but finding, by the end of the wedding night, that her self-destructive depression, can't be contained

In the second part, this depression has fully taken over her

yet --as the end of the world nears -- society's assumptions about depression are reversed.

The thesis of the film is that depressed people are better equipped for apocalypse because,

having previously imagined catastrophe and disaster, they can accept and deal with the reality.

Thus while the second part of the film is a coming down, it's also a reversal and a release.

Once we overcome the false truth of the first part

the idea that she should defeat her depression and be happy with her husband

we find another unexpected truth

that while her depression makes her terrible to those around her in everyday life, it also

helps her guide her family through the end of days.

In Nymphomaniac, the two parts are even separated into two distinct movies, or volumes

the first corresponding to the "nymph" and the second to the "mania" of Joe's obsession with sex

Nymphomaniac Volume 1 is fun and funny

The viewer might enjoy seeing the character behaving a little wild and against social norms.

And like the man who is listening to her story in the movie

we don't quite yet understand why she views herself as such a terrible person

But by Volume 2, as we see her extreme masochistic behavior, her abandoning of her child, and her

deteriorating body, it becomes so challenging that many might consider it unwatchable

and it might inspire resentment or backlash from us.

The ending of Dogville is so effective because Nicole Kidman's character undergoes a complete 180

that reveals who she really was all along.

She's been taking the town's escalating abuse, seeming a martyr whose generous kindness has been punished with inhumane cruelty.

But her father tells her that her passivity is actually a kind of superiority

"So I'm arrogant. I'm arrogant because I forgive people?"

"My God. Can't you see how condescending you are when you say that?"

I mean you have, you have this preconceived notion that nobody,

listen, that nobody can't possibly attain the same high ethical standards as you, so you exonerate them.

I cannot, I cannot think of anything more arrogant than that.

You... you forgive others with excuses that you would never in the world permit for yourself.

Von Trier Also deals a lot with the scorned, fallen, or unstable woman.

And he's stoking the flames, challenging us to judge or disapprove of these women

He puts us in a very tough position,

by making them guilty of the behaviors that society most condemns, especially in women

child endangerment, sexual infidelity and promiscuity, instability, unhappiness or even simple rudeness.

These films all feature lead women who are making society uncomfortable.

They're expressing desire.

They're expressing inconvenient aspects of their psyche -- aspects that we may view

as unhealthy, or see as needing to be cured, treated, or even repressed.

But Von Trier is not interested in seeing these women "cured."

Controversially, he often embraces their perceived dysfunction as a hidden strength, or something

that should not be rejected.

"My name is Joe and I'm a nymphomaniac"

"We say sex addict"

"I am a nymphomaniac, but above all, I love my c*nt"

It goes without saying that a Von Trier film is never going to end with a politically correct message.

Yet he has given us many films in which vastly complex and imperfect female protagonists

get to explore the extremes of their desires and the truths of their inner natures.

Watching the film, we may start to have intellectual insights or revelations,

and we may start to expect that we'll arrive somewhere definite and grasp some kind of answer to the questions he's posing.

But usually this is a false expectation.

As we've said, Melancholia does illustrate his thesis that depressed people are better in a crisis

because they can face the truth.

But in the end, we just cut out.

And we're left wondering how useful that talent for facing apocalypse really is,

if everyone just dies pretty quickly anyway.

The impulse that most of us have to hope for some resolution or message in the end is again thwarted,

because that resolution or message would reduce everything we've just seen to something comfortable.

And the last thing Von Trier ever wants is to make us feel comfortable.

"But you, you've f*cked thousands of men"

Pauline's Secret Donkey Kong Dance Tribute in Super Mario Odyssey - Duration: 1:25.

The New Donk City Festival has to be one of the standout moments in Super Mario Odyssey.

The classic Donkey Kong visuals, the music, and even Pauline's dance number--it's

almost too much.

And while the entire thing is a loving homage to the original Donkey Kong game, there are

still a couple more references that might have flown underneath your radar.

Such as how Jump Up, Super Star actually uses some of the music from the Donkey Kong arcade's

25m level.

You can easily hear it during the "Odyssey, ya see" portion.

It's a neat callback to Pauline's origins.

But beyond that, her dance steps during this segment are also a direct callback to her

limited motion in the arcade game.

Yeah, there's a reason she kicks her legs like that over and over, as that's exactly

what she did in her original appearance.

It's a really great throwback and kinda uplifting to see how her cry for help has

become a full-blown celebration.

Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe to GameXplain for more on Mario and other

things gaming.

Maradona's 5 FIFA World Cup™ Moments - Duration: 4:30.

It was against Hungary in 82. The ball was there and I just dived in head first. I didn't care

if the Hungarian defender was going to leave his studs on my head. I wasn't bothered.

How did it feel to score your first goal at the World Cup proper?

It felt amazing when the ball bounced up off the keeper and I beat my marker to it.

It's like touching the sky. It's like... There are so many things that go through your head.

There are times when the opposition goes too far. They want to make fun of you and knock the ball around.

Falcao started to say, 'Knock it around! Knock it around! Knock it around! Knock it around!' And I was fed up of them

making fun of me. I just wanted to get hold of Falcao

anywhere I could and at any price.

They played a one-two and I said to myself, 'This one's mine.'

And it was Batista, of course. It was Batista. When I saw Falcao I said to

myself, 'What have you done, you idiot? You kicked the wrong one!' It was awful.

It's the best goal I ever scored, no question. We all dreamed about dribbling past the whole lot of them, including Shilton.

I'm still looking for an explanation for what

Shilton did. I can't find one. I don't know what he did.

I sold him a dummy, yes. I sold him a dummy, but he's still got to block part of the goal from me.

And when I went by him I clipped it with the outside of my boot. Butcher came in and whacked me

on my right side. It was a straight red. It didn't bother me.

Brazil had us under siege the whole game.

They didn't give us any space. The thing was, a light just switched on inside me.

That's when I woke up and said, 'I'm going to take them on. Let's see what happens.'

I see this flash of white [Caniggia] ahead of me, but I overrun the ball a bit. So I hit it

with my right and it goes straight through Ricardo Rocha's legs.

I was lying on the ground shouting, 'Hit it! Hit it! Hit it!' But he didn't. He feinted and then he feinted again

and again. We were all waiting on him! And so, we won with that goal from Cani, who really made us suffer.

This is very special, because that penalty was the toughest one of my career, because

I'd just missed against Yugoslavia. I put the ball down and

Zenga says to me, 'I know you.' And I say to him, 'I know you better.' And when I stuck it

past Zenga's foot I said, 'Ciao'. It was me who knocked Italy out because Serena missed his

penalty just after that. So it was me who knocked the Italians out of the World Cup in 1990.

An Ode to the Fact That I Literally Can't Stop Watching Grey's Anatomy - Duration: 4:20.

An Ode to the Fact That I Literally Can't Stop Watching Grey's Anatomy

Its a problem that has affected my life for the past two weeks, causing me to lose sleep and even appetite, taking over the dreams I have when I do sleep, dominating my conversations, my relationships, my plans to venture into the outside world.

Its a problem a lot of us have had since the invention of Netflix, but for me, it has never been this bad.

No show has dominated my life the same way Greys Anatomy has, ever since I decided, on a whim, to start rewatching it two weeks ago.

I was home sick with a sinus infection and nothing to do, so I was going to finally watch The Crown. For some reason, Netflix wouldnt play The Crown, which is weird because The Crown is a Netflix show.

But when The Crown wouldnt play, I had to make another choice, and I decided on Greys Anatomy.

Whether I was subconsciously anticipating the 300th episode or just simply needing TV comfort food, that choice suddenly became the best and worst choice I ever made.

Greys Anatomy was exactly what I wanted to watch at that moment, and then at every moment after that. I needed Ellen Pompeos soothing voice in my head, explaining what surgeons do, nearly 24/7.

Plus, Netflix automatically plays the next episode so fast you barely have time to make it stop, so like, its not my fault. I watched the entire first season (nine episodes) that day, plus a few more.

Season two, which is 27 episodes, took me approximately two days to finish, despite the fact that I went to work the next day.

That Saturday—Halloween weekend—I managed to go to two whole parties, though I had to tear myself away right after Izzie (Katherine Heigl) cut the LVAD wire, and I regretted it the entire night.

My flamingo costume barely even counted as a flamingo costume because instead of putting it together, I was watching Greys Anatomy. I washed dishes and watched Greys Anatomy.

I took showers and watched Greys Anatomy. I cooked and watched Greys Anatomy. I cleaned my room, got ready for work, online shopped, did yoga (OK, I stretched), all while watching Greys Anatomy.

I paused it to watch Project Runway, only because my mom and I call each other weekly to talk about Project Runway and I didnt want her to be sad. But then I immediately went back to watching Greys Anatomy.

Its been two weeks, and Im now in the middle of season six. Thats 113 episodes in 14 days, or an average of eight episodes a day, as if this show is now my full-time job.

(Editors note: Its not!) Im not sure if this is bragging or begging for help, but its probably a little of both.

My Greys Anatomy adventure has been part rewatch, part first time watch, because originally I gave up watching it somewhere in the middle of season four.

Izzie did not come out of that Denny (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) situation well, and her affair with the married George (T.R. Knight) annoyed me too much to stick with it.

This time around, I was still annoyed, but I kept going, and going, and going.

Now George is dead, Izzie is MIA, Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) are not having sex, Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith are post-it note married and the hospitals called Seattle Grace Mercy West.

Everything has changed (on the show) in the past two weeks of watching it and Im deep into those years where a lot of people started to give up, but theres something so strangely comforting about the world these doctors operate in, so filled with death and uncertainty but also hopeful.

No matter how many characters leave or die, this show goes on. Everything can fall apart a thousand times, and theres still another season or seven to go.

You can find love again after you get left at the altar. You can come back to life after drowning.

Your friends can leave, but new, sometimes even hotter friends can replace them. And sometimes life gives you cliffhangers, but if you just keep going, most things turn out OK a few episodes later.

So thats the life Im living right now, sleep-deprived and endlessly roaming the halls of whatever the hell the hospitals called now while waiting for Merediths soothing voiceovers to tell me what I learned today.

Was it that I should say sorry more often? Or perhaps it was something about pain? I dont know.

But I do know that despite the fact that Im drowning in my inability to do anything other than watch Greys Anatomy, Im going to keep watching Greys Anatomy until theres no more Greys Anatomy to watch.

Or at least until someone comes to rescue me from myself, which no one should do, unless they want to hang out with me or something, but even then… Anyway, congratulations Greys Anatomy on 300 episodes, but also how dare you because Im not going to get anything done for WEEKS.

Greys Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m.

Imonar the Soulhunter Guide - Heroic/Normal Antorus Imonar Guide - Duration: 4:14.

Hi!

I'm Hazel, and you are about to be all sorts of prepared for this boss.

This video is all about Imonar the Soulhunter on Normal and Heroic difficulty.

You fight him on these two circular platforms with a path in between, and there's a pre

defined dance of when you should be on each bit.

Go out of bounds and you'll meet the Infernal Rockets, so don't get any funny ideas about

using more space.

In Phase 1 you'll fight Imonar on the same platform he spawns on, and you'll stay there

until he gets to 66%.

Shock Lance is our resident stacking tank swap mechanic in this phase.

It's a 20 second debuff, he throws it out every 5 seconds or so, so you'll want to swap

at around 4-5 stacks.

Pulse Grenade throws down mines.

They look like this.

Don't step on those.

They do a knockback as well as damagewhen they go off so tripping just once can start

a bit of a chain effect.

Don't trip.

Sleep Canister and Slumber Gas is what makes this phase interesting.

He throws out dispellable Sleep Canister debuffs onto random non-tank players, putting them

to sleep for twenty seconds.

When that gets diseplled, the sleeping player explodes with Slumber Gas.

Anybody within 10 yards of that will get put into an un-dispellable sleep for 8 seconds.

If your healers have twitchy dispel fingers, this can get bad really quickly.

Step one is to have all of your ranged in a 10 yard spread around the edge of the platform.

Depending on your raid size, that may not be quite possible.

The idea is that when a player gets put to sleep, they're already clear for dispel.

If you can't manage a 10 yard spread then the ranged need to move away from their sleeping

friends, and the slept player can call out when they're clear for a dispel.

Voice chat's gonna be really important for this.

If that wasn't fun enough, melee dps can get it too.

We managed that by having two markers down, about 15 yards apart.

Melee and tanks stack on one marker, then when one of them gets the sleep the entire

stack moves to the other marker.

Once everyone's clear, it's safe to dispel and sleeping beauty can catch up with their

friends.

At 66% Imonar will leap to the other platform and the first intermission starts.

There's a whole list of mechanics and all of them boil down to Dodge Stuff and run to

the other side.

Just don't touch anything, it's all bad.

When the whole raid has made it across the bridge, kick Conflagration to start Phase

2.

Don't kick it early or you'll Infernal Rocket any stragglers.

Not all of us can run fast.

Phase Two has a brand new set of mechanics, which means no more sleep canisters.

Sever is our new stacking tank swap mechanic.

You wanna swap on about three stacks for this one.

Shrapnel is a new kind of mine, these ones are red, and once again you wanna not step

on them.

Charged Blast is the fun mechanic of Phase 2.

Two players will be targeted, and after 7 seconds a big line shaped fireblast will go

off in their direction from the Legion Ships overhead.

On Heroic, that also knocks people back, potentially into the mines.

The two players targeted by the Charged Blast want to run to the front and back edge of

the platform.

You basically want those lasers to cross the exits, not slice the platform in half.

When you're targeted you'll get a super obvious red line showing you the path of the blast

so just point that thing away from people.

At 33% we get another Intermission, and we run back to the first platform.

This time, you get to dodge even more stuff.

We get these brand new Blast Wires to avoid.

That'll damage EVERYONE if you touch it so once again, don't trip.

In phase 3, it's time to finish the fight.

This is the moment for Heroism or Bloodlust.

Tanks will now get Empowered Shock Lance, which is kinda like Shock Lance except this

one doesn't fall off.

I hope you have some good buttons left.

Empowered Shrapnel Blast wasn't showing up visually in my testing so you won't see it

here, but it will look like green swirlies on the ground.

Dodge the green swirlies or else you get a nasty DoT that lasts until you die.

Finally, Empowered Pulse Grenades stick directly onto players and stay there.

You'll see a little bomb over your head.

Everyone needs a minimum of a 5 yard spread for the rest of the fight to avoid getting

damaged and knocked around by those.

The grenades from Phase 1 are still here too so knockbacks are something you don't wanna

mess with.

So, that is Imonar the Soulhunter in Antorus, the Burning Throne!

If this video helped you feel good and ready please consider giving it a thumbs up.

Thanks for watching, I hope you get all the loot you need and have a wonderful, wonderful

day!

Your Top 10 Gardening Questions Answered! Garden Questions & Answers Session 3 - Duration: 8:34.

in today's episode we look at the answers to ten gardening questions asked

by a viewers so the first question comes from GyuuK and the question is whether

BT and Spinosad are safe for you and are they safer than chemicals

well BT and Spinosad are approved for organic gardening since they are natural

and they have the OMRI symbol listed which means it's approved for organic

gardening now if you want to be safer you can use neem oil which is natural

and it controls a broad range of insects as well as fungal diseases on your

plants now of course the best thing is to not use any insecticide at all just

handpick whatever you see and then use preventive measures like these nets to

keep most garden pests away our next question comes from shtf West

Coast prepper and the question is whether hybrid and GMO are the same well

it's not the same hybrid crops are created by natural selection so for

example plants with great stems are combined with plants with excellent

fruits to create a plant that has characteristics of both which has strong

stems as well as great fruit so GMO is not the same as hybrid GMO is something

that's not even available to home gardeners they're only available for

commercial growers the next question comes from cuddly bear and the question

is how large is your garden and do you grow enough to sustain your family

without having to buy from the store now my backyard is about 1,500 square feet

you can see that I have some containers here followed by the raised beds area

which is pretty much most of the space that I grew my vegetables in and it's

about 192 square feet after I redesigned the beds and that's

the bulk of my growing area and this is the fruit trees area it's about 350

square feet of growing space and there's also an avocado tree on the side now do

we grow enough to sustain our family not really

we are vegetarians and although we grow a lot of fruits and vegetables at home

we still have to supplement by buying fresh produce from the grocery stores

the next question comes from Juan de la Cruz and the question is compost is hard

to find where I live can I just use some coconut coir in soil

not really for any kind of potting mix you should not be using soil because

soil is gonna make your potting mix very heavy so the ideal combination is to use

peat moss perlite and compost if you don't have compost try using manure or

try using worm castings by doing this you look at a very lightweight potting

mix the next question comes from kumara Mack

and the question is about how the potting mix the recent potting mix that

I posted compares with the 30 30 30 10 potting mix that I've used in other

cases now I used to prepare a lot of potting mix with the 30 30 30 10 which

means one part of peat moss perlite compost and then worm castings however

the one that I posted in this video that you see here the easy potting mix it

uses three parts of peat moss and small portions of perlite and manure or worm

castings this is actually a very cheap mix and it's a lot cheaper than creating

the 30 30 30 10 mix and it also gives great results which is why I highly

recommend that you try it out and in the same video there's a question by Linda

Gray and the question is whether the menu one has to be chicken and whether

you can use any other kind of manure now yes you can use different kinds of

manure and some of the manures have different characteristics chicken manure

is very hot in the sense that you need to use less of it compared to something

like steer manure but I would recommend limiting the amount of manure you add to

your soil I have had some weird results when I was trying to see how hot many or

can be so as you can see here I've planted a couple of plants and these are

very similar plants one is growing up in straight up steer manure and the other

one is growing in a mix of steer manure and perlite which just provides

additional drainage but what you will see is that by using a lot of manure or

just pure manure in this case you will have some weird results some plants

might grow well but most of the plants are gonna just burn and die and as you

can see here you can see that one of these plants has grown well and the

other plant is pretty much dead so yes you can use manure you like rabbit manure

or horse manure I recommend that you go with small quantities of chicken manure

or horse and rabbit menu are generally better the next question comes from

Raghu and the question is that I've started backyard gardening can you

please make a video on what crop should be grown during different months of the

year and I do have a series of videos which specify what you need to do during

different parts of the year and if you check out my monthly series I will have

a link to the playlist at the end of this video and you can pretty much know

what to do each month of the year now you might have to adjust according to

the weather in your area but this is a good guideline on what you do during

different months of the year our next question comes from Becky Zahid and the

question is I have some plants in very large containers and some plants in

smaller containers how can I make sure that the smaller plants don't get too

much water and the large plants just get enough now this is a great question and

I've covered this in my video of the drip emitter systems for containers and

pretty much what you do is depending on the size of your container you choose

your emitter so for smaller containers you will choose an emitter that doesn't

let out a lot of water and for larger containers you need to use emitters that

spray out a lot of water you can even use micro sprinklers which are used for

raised beds you can use them in containers as well so there are a lot of

options and this is one way you can ensure that your containers get the

amount of water they need our next question comes from emy yu and the question

is after I prune the mint plant can I use the unused roots as compost now you

can put pretty much anything that you want in your compost there are a lot of

options dead leaves scraps from your fruits and vegetables that you consume

but something like mint is not something that I would recommend putting in your

compost bin so even after you prune your mint plant it could be possible that

when you put this in your compost the remnants could come up as new plants

since mint is a very invasive plant I don't recommend that you add chopped

mint leaves into your compost bin and our final question comes from joy mary

prepper and the question is that I'm in California and right now the whiteflies

have had their way in my garden and I've used all organic stuff but can't get rid

of them can you please advise now I've covered getting rid of white flies in

one of my previous videos there are a lot of ways you can get rid of white

flies the easiest way is to just use water and spray them out of the plants

and you can also use these yellow sticky white fly traps which work great for

white flies especially if you have a lot of them now you can use them in tandem

and that will give you the most effective white fly control so there we

have it folks that was our Q&A session if you like this video please do give us

a thumbs up and if you like to see more videos like these do let us know in the

comments box below we'll see you again soon happy gardening

on his stomach do his two hands and dries eyes and then cover them up with

black and then we'll dries the years okay guys so now I'll talk with you guys

later so I'll talk to you guys in a while

I saw you Sonic and now we're going to do metal sonic and dr. Robotnik so here

we go okay guys so now what you're gonna do is you're gonna draw dr. Robotnik's

Warrior of the Light Quotes - Duration: 3:00.

Hi. So, last week I talked about my special battle day rituals and I end it

with a passage from The Warrior of the Light by Paulo Coelho, one of my favorite

books. And so today I thought I'd read some of my favourite passages and I'd

love to get your feedback and thoughts on this.

So, first. The most difficult thing in the world is to adopt the spirit and

attitude of a warrior. It's no use being sad, complaining, feeling unjustly treated

and believing someone is doing something negative. No one is doing anything and

certainly not to a warrior. It matters not how we were brought up what

determines our way of acting is the manner in which we administrate our will.

The will is a sentiment, a talent something which lends us enthusiasm. The

will is something which is acquired but it is necessary to fight for it one's

whole life. The humility of a warrior is not the same humility is that of a

servile man. The warrior does not lower his head to anyone but nor does he allow

anyone to bow before him. The servile man on the other hand kneels before anyone

that he thinks more powerful than him and demands that people under him behave

in a similar fashion before him. The bad thing about words is that they make us

feel as if we were illuminated and understand everything but when we turn

and face the world we see that reality is completely different from that which

we discuss or heard. A warrior seeks to act and not waste time in useless

conversation. The ordinary man thinks that yielding to doubts and worries is a

sign of sensibility, of spirituality, acting thus, he remains distant from the

true meaning of life. This type of person loves being told what he

should do. Only a warrior can endure the path of knowledge. A warrior does not

complain or lament anything and sees challenges as neither good or bad.

Challenges are simply challenges. And lastly, the world is unfathomable and

mysterious just as we all are and the art of the warrior consists of

reconciling the terror of being a man with the wonder of being a man. Hope you

guys enjoyed that. See you next time.

What is the Sega Saturn? - Gaming Platform Retrospective - Duration: 9:19.

Hello and welcome to episode 2 of "What is?"

This episode is all about the Sega Saturn.

A system that fell by the wayside in North America and Europe

but fared a little better in Japan.

The development of the Sega Saturn began sometime in 1992

and while it was almost done in 1993, it was held back from release because of the Sony PlayStation.

Sega saw that Sony's upcoming console had some major advantages over their own

so they changed the Saturn's design to include another display processor

to improve it's texture mapping and 2D performance.

This is where some major issues between Sega of America and Sega of Japan began.

Sega of America were not happy with the proposed architecture of the Saturn and fought against it.

They even went so far as to broker a deal with Silicon Graphics

who then went on to work with Nintendo for the N64 instead

after Sega of Japan refused to budge.

There were even talks of a Sony and Sega collaboration by the American sides of those companies

but that obviously didn't happen.

During the development of the Saturn

the upcoming 64 bit Atari Jaguar was looming

which worried Sega of Japan's president - Hayao Nakayama -

and that lead to the development of the 32X as essentially a stopgap before the launch of the Saturn.

This is rather hilarious in hindsight considering how badly the Jaguar failed

and what a waste of time the 32X was.

As Scott Bayless, Senior Producer at Sega of America at the time, put it:

Clearly some big cracks were beginning to form in the foundation at Sega

and consumers noticed.

Not only had Sega pushed out the Mega CD earlier

they had released ANOTHER dud in the 32X a mere 6 MONTHS before the Saturn hit.

If you had took the plunge and got a 32X

you essentially had Sega telling you to dump it and get a Saturn instead.

Way to inspire consumer confidence, guys!

This made the rifts between the regional branches of Sega even worse.

The Japanese market had basically ignored the Mega Drive in favor of the PC Engine and Super Famicom

so hardly anyone cared about the 32X.

And Sega of Japan focused almost entirely on the Saturn

which didn't go so well for Sega of America and Europe

because now they had to contend with a pretty major brand split.

So not only do you have these divisions having to split their resources between two systems at once,

Sega of Japan's architectural decisions came back to bite them on the ass.

The Saturn is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to 2D graphics

but the 3D was weak and guess who had a system that was great at 3D..

Sure the 3D graphics on the PlayStation are poor by today's standards

but Sony clearly figured out which way the wind was blowing

and made sure their system was built for the technology.

Not only did Sony have this advantage

they also made sure to help 3rd-party developers make games on their system as easily as possible.

The Saturn was waaaaaaaay behind in this regard.

Their complex, Frankenstein system was difficult to develop for - particularly at launch -

and their development tools weren't very good.

This hurt the Saturn in a big way at its launch and it never really recovered.

The system lasted a mere 4 years in North America and Europe,

while it stuck around an extra 2 in Japan.

This wasn't the begining of the end, nor the actual end for Sega as a hardwre manufacturer

but it's a big part of its demise.

The weird part about the Sega Saturn

is that while its generally considered a failure, it has one of the best libraries of games out there.

It is certainly lacking in 3D games and genres like RPGs

but it has a robust fighting, puzzle, shoot em up and visual novel library.

With the Ram cart add on, there are even arcade perfect ports of certain games available.

Okay to be truthful, a LOT of the best releases were Japan only

but it's still well worth the import as so many of the titles are easily playable without knowing Japanese.

Of course a lot of them are expensive as hell even in Japan but...

What can you do?

Let's just check some of them out.

If you want to collect for the Saturn, it's fairly easy to do so in general.

The Sega Saturn does have a region lockout so you'll have to either get import systems to play certain games

or a modchip which is somewhat iffy legally and only works on certain models.

Besides a system, you'll also likely want to find a working save cart,

ram cart,

and maybe peripherals like a fightstick or 3D controllers.

As there isn't any region locking on these items

I highly recommend seeking out Japanese peripherals

as they are way cheaper and easier to find.

Also you can get whacky things like this.

Once you get into the games, you'll quickly find out that the prices range from extremely cheap

to ridiculously expensive.

As well as the fact that the Japanese versions are generally cheaper than the North American ones.

European releases tend to fall in between but are a bit scarcer online.

I don't know if this has to do with their actual rarity or European sellers using sites I'm unfamiliar with.

Now the best place to find Japanese games used to be at junk shops.

These were shops filled to the brim with all sorts of retro games for really cheap.

Unfortunately this market has shifted quite a bit

and you're not going to be able to find games as cheaply as you could about 10 years ago.

The next best places to look are Yahoo! Japan auctions - with the use of a buying service -

and Ebay.

There are actually numerous sellers on Ebay that are very affordable, so it's worth checking them out.

Ebay is also generally the go-to place for all the North American releases as well.

You might find games at garage sales, flea markets and local game stores

but I have found Saturn games to be scarcer in general

and the really good stuff hardly ever appears outside of online.

So to wrap this up

I'll say that in hindsight it's clear that Sega made a lot of poor choices before,

during and after the development of the Saturn that ended their hardware manufacturing days.

I feel they really should have seen some of this coming

but with the disorganization and lack of vision from the Japanese division

it's not terribly surprising that the ship wasn't righted in time.

What IS surprising is that the Saturn managed to eke out what it did

and that Sega managed to get the Dreamcast out afterwards at all.

It's an interesting thought exercise to think about how much more the Saturn could have dne

if it had been as successful as the PlayStation.

But alas, we will never get to know.

At least we got some pretty sweet games to play despite everything, though.

And that was the Sega Saturn!

Let me know what you think of it in the comments below.

Postre de Café Sin Huevo - #CocinaConFlandy - Duration: 5:38.

Hi everybody, I am Andy and today we are going to make

a kind of an eggless tiramisu.

The first thing to do like always is to reconstitute

our egg substitute

Because, tiramisu

is made with ladyfingers, but this cookies are made with egg white

So we cant use them if we have an allergy to the eggs

So, what i am going to do, is to make a sponge cake

And i am going to use the same recipe that we made in the eggless cake

So we can have a bigger cake so we can cut it like the ladyfingers

Once we have our mix ready

We are going to put some butter in our mold,

so it will be easier to unmold

We have to put it in the oven for 30 - 35 minutes

Or until the cake is firm to touch

For the filling, we are going to use cream, but you can use Mascarpone cheese

We are going to make Chantilly Cream (whipped cream with sugar)

When we take out the cake from the oven we cut it in same size pieces

We are going to make a mixture of water and coffee

Once we have that ready, we are going to pass the cake

in the coffee mixture and then put it in the mold

This mold is a little bigger for the amount of cake, but you can make it in a smaller mold

After we make the first layer we put some cream on the top

Well, this is the recipe of the week

I hope you like it

And if you make it you can send us a photo

On facebook or instagram or twitter

Have a nice day!!
