Central Station Montreal

or get something to bring with.

The line 40 minutes before departure

Boarding started 15 minutes before departure.

Long haul passengers got larger seats

that reclined and had a foot rest.

Others had smaller seats with less pitch.

We departed Montreal on time.

The weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked.

It wasn't long before we were traveling through the countryside

and through small towns.

There was plenty of opportunity to move about the train

The cars for short haul passengers were empty the first several hours.

Most luggage fit above the seats

and large bags on the floor in back.

The dome car had lots of room.

The National Park Service volunteer narrated our journey

and answered questions.

Lower level of the dome car

The train hugged Lake Champlain for quite a while.

The best viewing of the lake was from the left side of the train.

Each pair of seats had two outlets for charging

and wifi was available but was spotty.

There were two dining cars

and a cafe.

Most hot items were cello-wrapped and microwaved

but there were some fresh items available

like this salad which was surprisingly tasty.

The bathrooms started out clean

but they smelled rancid the final few hours.

We approached the Albany station in the dark

and in the rain,

making for an uneventful journey into NYC.

NBC Reporter Says Network Covered Up Hollywood Sex Abuse Reports - TODAY NEWS - Duration: 4:49.

NBC reporter Ronan Farrow has revealed how the network refused to publish his bombshell

evidence on rampant sexual abuse in Hollywood.

The investigative journalist said the network tried to shut down his story on sex abuse

by Harvey Weinstein and even threatened that his NBC producer, Rich McHugh, would lose

his job.

In a tweet he said: "My reporting is only possible because of a group of brave journalists

who fought for the story," and praised the New Yorker magazine for publishing his investigation

of Weinstein's sexual abuse.

The Free Thought Project reports:

Numerous press accounts describe Rich McHugh, NBC News investigative producer, as extremely

disappointed that the network shut down his and Farrow's investigative report on Weinstein.

Farrow's most recent Weinstein revelation, published by Farrow in The New Yorker on Monday,

exposed the Hollywood producer's use of former Israeli intelligence officers and New

York power-attorneys to investigate and shut down any journalistic endeavors to expose

Weinstein's alleged abuse of women.

Farrows praised the journalistic integrity of The New Yorker editors and staff who "championed"

and "protected" him, while his bosses at NBC refused to publish his bombshell revelations,

laughably claiming that it wasn't up to the network's standards.

He tweeted that New Yorker editor David Remnick "saved" his story as a "rare bastion

of journalistic integrity," and digital editor David Rohde "was a compassionate,

thoughtful and tireless editor.

Essentially, The New Yorker did actual journalism, while NBC was exposed as corporatist shills

with no journalistic integrity who are willing to cater to the power-elite in society.

According to a report by Fox News:

To add insult to injury, Farrow, whose Twitter bio currently describes him as an NBC reporter

and "Today" show correspondent, appeared Tuesday morning on "Good Morning America,"

arch-rival of the "Today" show, during the crucial November "sweeps" period.

"GMA" described Farrow as a New Yorker contributor and mentioned NBC only when co-host

George Stephanopoulos asked Farrow if Weinstein "got to" NBC when it decided to spike

the original story.

"I think the story makes it clear [Weinstein and his team] were focusing on everyone trying

to get word out about this," Farrow said carefully during his appearance.

Farrow pulled no punches on "The Rachel Maddow Show" when his first Weinstein article

was published in The New Yorker last month.

Revealing how the fix was in at NBC, he told Maddow that The New Yorker "immediately"

realized his story was in contrast to NBC's assertions, fully reportable, and "there

were multiple determinations" that NBC had enough to run it.

The reality is that NBC News President Noah Oppenheim tried to kill Farrow's investigative

report about Weinstein, which would have outed Weinstein as an alleged sexual predator months

prior to The New Yorker publishing Farrow's reporting.

While NBC News has repeatedly attempted to deny that Oppenheim has ties to Weinstein,

the NBC News president moonlights as a Hollywood screenwriter and the two men recently shared

a relatively small table at a swanky media event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"This story shows the dark side of how media treats powerful men but also reminds us brave

people are still defending the truth," Farrow wrote on Tuesday, praising the New Yorker.

After Oppenheim tried to kill Farrow's reporting on Weinstein at NBC, Farrow took the bombshell

story to The New Yorker, which is known for its journalistic integrity and high editorial

standards.

Laughably, Oppenheim, in an attempt at saving face during an NBC event last month, contended

that the "incredible story" Farrow published in the New Yorker was "not the story that

we were looking at when we made our judgment several months ago."

Farrow pushed back, essentially accusing Oppenheim of lying, saying The New Yorker "immediately"

realized his story was verified and reportable, and "there were multiple determinations"

that NBC had enough to run it.

This is exactly how an oligarchic system operates — differing rules dependent upon who you

know and how much money and power you have.

Please share this story of extreme corruption and media manipulation — as this is why

you can't trust mainstream reporting!

Report: Weinstein Hired Ex-Mossad Agents to Target, Silence Accusers - TODAY NEWS - Duration: 3:39.

The allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein have just gone from scandalous

to chilling.

Weinstein is already facing accusations of sexually harassing and assaulting countless

actresses over the years, and using his influential position within Tinseltown as a twisted tool

of advantage.

Now, it has been reported that the well-known Democrat ally waged a war of suppression against

anyone who dared to speak out against his actions.

Journalist Ronan Farrow of The New Yorker has dropped a bombshell: "Weinstein's

campaign to silence allegations included hiring undercover ex-Mossad agents to track women

& reporters," the investigative reporter explained.

According to The New Yorker, Weinstein hired several corporate intelligence agencies that

employ ex-Israeli Mossad agents to target and silence witnesses who might reveal his

alleged misconduct.

"Over the course of a year, Weinstein had the agencies 'target,' or collect information

on, dozens of individuals, and compile psychological profiles that sometimes focused on their personal

or sexual histories," Farrow wrote.

"Weinstein monitored the progress of the investigations personally."

Using cloak-and-dagger tactics, operatives from major corporate spy services like "Black

Cube" and "Kroll" went after women who Weinstein had allegedly abused, according

to Farrow.

"Two private investigators from Black Cube, using false identities, met with the actress

Rose McGowan, who eventually publicly accused Weinstein of rape, to extract information

from her," he wrote.

"One of the investigators pretended to be a women's-rights advocate and secretly recorded

at least four meetings with McGowan.

"The same operative, using a different false identity and implying that she had an allegation

against Weinstein, met twice with a journalist to find out which women were talking to the

press.

In other cases, journalists directed by Weinstein or the private investigators interviewed women

and reported back the details."

That was all part of an effort to keep the scurrilous stories from ever seeing the light

of day in the media.

If this report is accurate, it means that Weinstein not only sexually abused young actresses,

but also had them spied on, followed, and manipulated.

By attempting to keep their stories from getting into the public, he was also trying to keep

them silent.

It also means that the list of people who knew about Weinstein's actions is much longer

than initially thought.

It's increasingly hard for actors and other Hollywood insiders close to the producer to

pretend they "didn't know" that any of this was going on.

This type of manipulative behavior would also fit with previous reports that Weinstein used

influential surrogates, including George Clooney and Matt Damon, to snuff out news stories

about the alleged sexual misconduct before it could be reported.

Hollywood is sick.

There is a cancer within its ranks, yet liberal elitists in California and their willing left-wing

accomplices in Washington have ignored the reality for years.

Worse than that, they actively tried to cover up just how depraved and twisted the entertainment

industry has become.

As Hollywood crumbles from within, it has only itself to blame.

Elites are no longer the ones who truly control the culture.

Real America tuned out a long time ago.

Democrat Forced to Resign After Police Uncover Infant Pornography on Computer - TODAY NEWS - Duration: 2:56.

A Pennsylvania Democrat is facing criminal charges for images of child pornography found

on his computers — including some involving infants.

According to WPVI, Philip Ahr, a former member of the board of commissioners in Radnor Township,

outside Philadelphia, resigned from his post Monday.

He was charged in October with possession and dissemination of child pornography, criminal

use of communication facility, and abuse of children.

The 66-year-old handed over his badge and submitted his formal letter of resignation

indicating that he would be vacating his seat, the television station reported.

On Oct. 23, Ahr stepped down as the board's president.

The investigation began in late August after authorities said they received information

from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Ahr had uploaded and shared

pornographic images of children.

Authorities executed a search warrant of Ahr's home on Sept. 21, and reportedly found incriminating

evidence on Ahr's computer.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Ahr was arrested and charged on Oct. 11 with several

felony counts.

According to investigators, Ahr sent and received hundreds of child porn images since 2014 — some

depicting infants and toddlers as well as "sadomasochistic abuse and abuse involving

children and animals," the Inquirer reported.

On Monday, Ahr also handed over a work iPad, which authorities said they had no idea he

had possessed after they raided his home.

After retrieving the iPad and analyzing it, authorities said they found additional illegal

images on the device.

Investigators said Ahr tried to delete the pictures from the device.

According to WPVI, township Manager Robert Zienkowski said he was shocked by the allegations

against Ahr, adding that he hopes justice is served in the case.

"It was quite shocking to take a township-issued iPad and to find what we found on there today,"

Zienkowski said.

"I think it's very disgusting.

It's awful," Zienkowski added.

"My hope is the prosecutor does everything they possibly can to put this individual away."

Disgusting doesn't cover it.

This is just evil.

According to WPVI, District Attorney Jack Whelan said in a news release that the crimes

Ahr is accused of are "very disturbing."

"The ages of these children is particularly disturbing.

Anywhere from infants to 2-4 to 3-6, and all in those different categories," Whelan said

in the release.

Few crimes are as frightening — or enraging — as the sexual abuse of children.

Let's hope justice is done in this case.

Mila Kunis Gives Money to PP, But in Video She Admitted It's Really a Baby - TODAY NEWS - Duration: 2:30.

Actress Mila Kunis announced to TBS host Conan O'Brien last week that she made sizable

donations to Planned Parenthood in the name of Vice President Mike Pence, yet she once

agreed that unborn children are humans while on live TV.

You might remember, while appearing on "Conan" on Nov. 2, the actress said she made recurring

donations to the clinic in the name of the vice president.

"I disagreed with some of the things that Pence was doing or trying to do, so as a reminder

that there are women out there in the world that may not agree with his platform, I put

him on recurring list of donations that are made in his name to Planned Parenthood,"

Kunis said.

"In his office, he gets a little letter that says: 'anonymous donation has been

made in your name,'" she continued.

Kunis kept defending her decision.

"I don't look at it as a prank, I look at it just as, I strongly disagree," she

said.

Kunis then went on to say it's her way of getting involved with a "peaceful protest."

The appearance might have proven an argument against the old saying "there's no such

thing as bad publicity."

It caused such a stir that conservative consumers have launched a boycott of Jim Beam — a

bourbon Kunis serves as a pitchwoman for — and have even started making donations to groups

like the National Rifle Association in Kunis' name.

(Not a prank, just a little peaceful protest.)

However, Kunis wasn't always so flippant about unborn children.

In fact, when pregnant, she admitted to carrying a "human."

Back in July 2016, Kunis appeared on "Live With Kelly" to promote her movie "Bad

Moms."

When host Kelly Ripa asked if she was pregnant with her second child, Kunis was quick to

reply: "I do have a human inside."

So which is it, Mila?

Are unborn children humans or not?

Because if you believe that unborn children are humans, yet you make donations to Planned

Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion mill, that is disgusting.

Planned Parenthood conducts more than 300,000 abortions a year, taking the innocent lives

of children who will never get the chance to make their own life and create their destiny.

Think about that, Ms. Kunis, while you make your "peaceful protest" about Mike Pence.

Banana Smoothie - What you should drink if you are Intermittent Fasting or trying to lose weight! - Duration: 2:49.

Hey guys! so today I want to show you how to make a really fast smoothie.

This is the first drink I usually have when Im breaking fast (Intermittent fasting) and

I love it because its hydrating and full of protein and fibre and its a great way to start

off my eating for my 4 hour eating period.

So what I do is I get my Hemp Hearts which is my protein source.

Hemp hearts are not a complete protein source so throughout your eating period you should

be eating nuts and grains and whatnot to complete your protein source-intake - there is not

much left in here so I'll just dump the rest in here.

Next I add potato starch - now raw potato starch actually feeds your gut bacteria.

Science now shows that a healthy gut flora will really help boost your immunity.

Help with weight loss, digestion...

Next I add almond milk - I use almond milk that does not have carrageenan in it because

carrageenan is an inflammatory agent.

So I just put some of that in.

And, of course, coconut milk to thicken it up a bit.

So, Im just going to put that in.

Of course, a banana for a banana smoothie.

Also if you have it medjool dates are a great sweetener for this smoothie.

I don't have any and I don't really need them - so I'll add a little maple syrup instead.

Just a splash for flavor.

Then, because this is a cold smoothie - not a warm smoothie - Ice cubes.

Seal that up!

And, blend!

So I'll let this go for a while and when Im done just pour it into a glass and enjoy!

Thanks for watching.

If you would like to see more recipes, please comment below and let me know what you are

looking for.

If you have any suggestions for great smoothies please let me know about that as well.

Learn English with subtitle everyday-Shopping is great - Duration: 7:28.

London is the shopping capital of the world.

Every year millions of overseas visitors shop here.

But what makes shopping here so great?

There's only one way to find out.

I'm off to do some shopping – follow me!

Knightsbridge is famous for upmarket shopping.

This is where the rich and famous come to buy…

their socks. And this is the one and only Harrods…

the ultimate in luxury. Even royalty shop here.

If I'm lucky, I might see someone famous.

If only they had it in my size.

Lovely!

Thank you!

Done quite well there – what's next?

Taxi!

Harvey Nichols, please.

Harvey Nichols – or 'Harvey Nicks' for short – is a great place for designer fashion.

Well, I had to buy couple of things…

What?

The biggest toy shop in the world – now you're talking!

So cute… err… it's not for me.

London's Oxford Street is retail heaven.

It's got over 2 kilometres of shops to choose from…

and, of course, Selfridges for shopping with style.

Taxi!

Could you drop all this off home for me, please?

I'm off to explore a different sort of shopping in Britain.

If you like shopping all under one roof,

then there are big shopping centres all over Britain.

The Olympic-sized shopping centre at Westfield, Stratford, is huge.

With over 300 shops, it's one of the largest shopping centres in Europe.

Great shopping isn't just about big shops.

Smaller shops can offer something special too.

Tucked away in the heart of Piccadilly is a great shopping gem.

Lock's sell that must-have in gentlemen's fashion:

the hat! Lock's opened in London in 1679.

Their hats can be seen across the world.

They pride themselves on their personal service.

Sue Simpson is a hat specialist.

Hi Sue.

Oh, hi Richard.

Wow, a bowler hat, you don't see many of those these days, do you?

Well, we don't call it a 'bowler' here at Lock's, we call it a 'coke hat'

because it was invented in 1850 for Thomas Coke…

by this very shop.

by this very shop and we still call it a 'coke' to this day.

Ah, the classic top hat. When would I wear that?

That's a beautiful silk top hat.

You would wear that for a society wedding,

or the time you see most of them is at Ascot,

which is the famous race meeting in June.

So what's your best-seller here at Lock's?

Our best-seller would be a classic tweed cap or this trilby here,

which is called a 'Voyager',

and the novelty of this one…

is it folds up so you can pop it into your luggage.

pop it into your luggage.

Excellent. Is that a deerstalker?

Similar to a deerstalker,

but this is a country cap

with a fastening that goes over the top.

And this was invented originally for wearing in open-top cars,

but now it's more commonly worn

on the hills out shooting

and this keeps the ears warm and stops it blowing away.

I like it; I'll take this one.

Small specialist shops can be found all over the country.

The Lanes in Brighton are made up of a fabulous web

of small streets with lots of quirky shops and boutiques.

They're a great place to discover original fashion,

furniture and accessories…

But a shopping spree doesn't have to involve visiting shops!

British markets are really popular and sometimes in surprising places.

This is Piccadilly Market at St James' Church in central London,

and not many people know it's here.

Photographer Simon Weinstock runs a stall here.

Hi Simon. Tell me about your stall.

Well, I've been here 15 years on St James' Market.

This is my most popular image,

I do lots of other images.

This is a London bus going round Piccadilly circus with the old Underground sign, very iconic.

I do the London Eye, I do the Houses of Parliament, terribly popular of course.

So who are your customers?

My customers come here from all over the world.

I have Russians, lots of Americans, Chinese these days,

Australians – you name it, they come here!

Some of my work's gone to Outer Mongolia, believe it or not.

And in your opinion, what makes Piccadilly Market so special?

It's a very unique, small market.

There's only about 40 stalls here.

It's a very friendly market.

Not that many people know about it – it's a hidden gem!

And there are lots of stalls that you can only buy the product here,

they're not available anywhere else in London,

so that makes it very unusual.

What do you like about shopping in London?

I think, like, the variety of stuff and there's always something different,

there's always something on the street, there's always something new to buy.

I like about shopping in London the old shop,

like in Covent Gardens, the old shop.

I like the mixture of some expensive and some cheaper ones. I like.

Well, I think it's just the variety of shops

and places where you can go for shops.

Britain is great for shopping.

There's such variety, and there's something for everyone.

The only trouble is – there's too much choice!

Britain is a sport-loving nation.

It's the birthplace of some of the world's favourite sports including cricket,

rugby and football,

and it's the home of some of the world's most iconic sporting venues.

From world-class football stadiums and

Formula 1 circuits to the greatest arena of all,

an Olympic village, Britain has it all.

This is Silverstone Circuit, one of the world's most famous motor sport venues.

Every year hundreds of thousands of fans come here

to watch some of the most exciting motor racing events on the planet.

Over the last 60 years this circuit has changed with the times

and its most recent development is a new pit and paddock called the Silverstone Wing.

Richard Phillips is the Managing Director of Silverstone.

He oversees everything that takes place here.

So what would you say to someone who's never been to a race before?

I think you have got to come to Silverstone.

We have the biggest and most knowledgeable crowd in the world,

320,000 people over the weekend of a Grand Prix.

It's the biggest outdoor event in the country.

All the great British names have driven here:

Nigel Mansell, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, and… me!

I've always wanted to drive a Ferrari

and what better place to do it than the home of British motor sport?

Racing instructor Chris Ward is going to give me a high-speed driving lesson.

So, right click into second.

Just nice and steady to begin with.

Let me just check we're all clear behind.

Circuit's clear, so we're free to pull out onto the circuit.

Squeeze the throttle, let's give it some power... Power, power, power!

Down the left-hand side.

Let the car rev a little bit more before you change gear.

Into fifth.

That's it. Keep the power going.

And more power, and more power.

What's it feel like being on the Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone?

It's a fantastic feeling, it really is.

Britain is mad about sport.

From hockey to sailing,

basketball to athletics, and grass court tennis is a national obsession.

Rugby was invented here, as was cricket,

and then exported round the world.

London is also home to a tribute to a footballing legend...

This is Bobby Moore, one of the all-time greatest footballers,

and behind me is Wembley Stadium,

one of the all-time greatest sporting venues…

and I'm about to get a peek behind closed doors.

The stadium has recently undergone a huge makeover.

It's home to the England National Football Team and the FA Cup Final.

Wembley also hosts other sports like American football and big music concerts.

And with 90,000 seats to choose from there's plenty of room for all the fans.

This is where it all happens.

The world's finest football players

have given us some of history's greatest sporting moments on this very pitch.

The stadium is one kilometre all the way round

and above me stands a 133 metre tall steel arch

which is also 315 metres across.

It's the longest piece of roof section in the world and you can see it on the other side of London.

It also moves to allow air and light onto the pitch.

This is the Press Conference Room.

Up to 190 members of the media fill these seats after every game

to ask the world's most famous football players

the burning questions we all want to hear. Oh, it's my turn!

But there's no time to stop, there's sport everywhere in Great Britain.

I've come to Weymouth and Portland Bay

where you'll find some of the best natural sailing waters in the UK.

During the Olympics this incredible coastline

will host 10 exciting sailing events from dinghy racing to windsurfing.

The area is a natural open-air venue,

which means there are plenty of places to watch the sailing from – like here.

This is the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy and, thanks to the Olympics,

it's become a state-of-the-art facility for professional training,

competitions and the local community…

so everyone will benefit from the Olympics – even when it's gone.

Peter Allam works for LOCOG, the Olympic Organisers.

Peter, why has this stretch of coastline been chosen for Olympic sailing?

One thing we can always rely on at Weymouth and Portland is the wind...

and you can probably just hear it whistling in the background

so we get good wind.

We also have fantastic waters here

to which we can set the race courses,

the good sea conditions are favourable,

and the shape of the bay and the harbour here, within Portland Harbour,

gives us plenty of opportunity to sail whatever the conditions.

And you're an Olympian yourself.

I've been lucky. Twice, I've been to the Olympics.

The first time was in 1984,

the second time was in '92,

and I was very fortunate in '84 to win a bronze medal,

although we were favourites for the gold, I'm very happy to have come away with a medal.

So what makes this facility so state of the art?

The great thing about this academy is that it caters for all ability levels,

from the elite athletes to the first-time sailor.

It also has plenty of space.

You need space for lots of boats and lots of people.

All this sea air and talk of sailing has given me an idea!

Snug! This is the Official Test Centre, next to the sailing academy.

It offers something for everyone from professionals to beginners – like me.

So, let's see what this coastline has to offer.

Windsurfing instructor Tris Best is taking me out on the water.

That's it. Lovely job. And then hand over hand nice and gently when you're ready.

No rush.

Lovely job.

And then just grab in the mast below the boom.

Perfect! Well done. Got it.

Tris. OK. Keep your knees nice and bent, back straight.

That's how, nice and upright. Perfect. That's it. Perfect.

Here we go. Too easy!

Oh, this is it! I'm getting there.

Yes! A carve gybe! Oh, and a flare gybe! I'm all over it!

Just flip a 180! Yes, that's a beautiful gust.

Yeah, alright, OK, I admit it.

I've got a little way to go when it comes to windsurfing...

but Great Britain is so passionate about sport

I think I'm going to try a few more of them.

Now, where did I put my cricket bat?
