Youtube daily report w Nov 22 2017

Im still in America at the moment, so dont expect Super Helpful In-depth Tutorials or

anything like that from this video- its just so that you can have your weekly fill of Phil.

But since my video on the blackhole on Dust2, a lot of you have come forward with examples

of your own.

Turns out that this problem is quite wide-spread, and almost always to do with displacements.

This is a bit of a problem, since newer maps are using these more and more to fill the

role of walls and the like.

Older maps, like Assault, hardly use them anywhere and so dont have this problem.

However, the new Dust2 is almost entirely made of displacements!

Which is a problem.

Here's Foekroka, whose friend RubenOriginal noticed that he had his AWP greedily snatched

away and absorbed into a displacement wall on Dust2.

I tried and easily encountered the same bug.

Thank you to Bergis00n for this example, which happens not far from the one that I analysed.

As you might expect, this is also where 2 different displacements connect.

This also happened to SD Bro, who very generously dropped an AWP for a teammate only for the

ground to greedily swallow it up.

This happened in the MIDDLE of a nice flat displacement, so is different once again to

the other examples and further complicates what the problem could be.

Now Wialoxs encounter is different again, because its where a displacement joins with

something that ISNT a displacement.

To make matters worse, this displacement has even been made properly and everything, as

all of the points around the offending area are entirely flat.

In other words, there shouldnt be a problem here, but there still is.

I suggest you give this one a go because its easy to do.

I was getting it most times I tried.

Also on Mirage, RiboH found this wall where if you stand right next to it with an AWP

and throw it, it will slide right through.

Once again, this is really easy to do, and worryingly can be done on any wall thats made

of a displacement.

I dont think this is the same problem as the earlier examples- this one is down to how

long the AWP is, and where it spawns when you throw it.

I reckon that if Valve changed the AWPs hitbox model, or made players throw it sideways,

or I dunno, folded the AWP up into a neat little lootcrate before throwing it, then

this could be fixed.

But as it stands, almost any displacement wall will have problems with AWPS being thrown

at it from point-blank range.

And this extends to props, too.

Especially thin ones such as the van on Cache.

Again, I believe the problem here lies more with the length of the gun model than it does

with the prop, since it also happens to other long weapons

like the scout and autosnipers.

Thank you to DerpyFX for this example, he and his friends found all kinds of problems

on Cache.

Check out his video for even more examples of this problem.

Turns out these problems are common, down to a number of factors, and are probably really

difficult to fix.

Valve please fix.

Home and Baby Clothes Haul | NEW HEARTH and HAND | Target | Kohls - Duration: 6:37.

Hey guys! Shawn here. If you are new, welcome to prayerlights. My channel is

all about mommy lifestyle vlogs to help you raise a Jesus loving child.

Today's video is a haul. I have a home like a home stuff haul and some baby

girl clothes so if you are interested to see what I have a recently purchased

from Target, there may be some chip and Joanna Gaines stuff in this haul, then

keep watching. Also wanted to let you know that if you are looking for a family

Advent Calendar, Advent is December 3rd, I have one available for only $2 bucks. It's

an instant download. You can go download it right now. Only $2.00 instant

download. Quick and easy. Great ideas for kids and families. It's activities on

scripture, prayers, things to do for other people, you name it. Go check that

out. I will post the link in the description box down below. Alright so

let's get into this video. I was so excited when the Chip and Joanna Gaines

line came out. I needed to change out some of our Christmas decorations this year

since we have added Finley into the family. We definitely needed a fourth

stocking so I purchased new stockings. So excited because our old ones were pretty

ratty looking. But here's this one it's got the green plaid and the little cute

little X marks at the top.Ethan has said he wanted this

one. This one's all plaid with a cute little green tassel. And then I think my

husband I'm going to get this one. It's got that kind of herringbone pattern

with a tiny bit of gold sparkle in it and the pom pom at the top. And then I'm

going to give Finley this one because I think it looks the girliest. But I just

love this white plaid and then the cute little fringe right here. I think it's

adorable. And so I think I'm going to keep this one for myself because I love this

one too. I got these cute towels. We needed some towels, hand towels for our guest

bathroom so I picked these up. I kind of have an aqua theme and gray going on so

I thought these are cute. "peace love and peace joy and love"

Has little trees on this one and they're really soft. And then this was in the

target dollar bin but it was three dollars. I thought this would be really

cute to hang on Finley's door. I'm going to take down, she's got a really girly kind of

troll looking wreath on her door, and I'm going to put this fuzzy little stocking on

instead with little pom-poms . It is soft. I found this in the target dollar bin. This

one was five dollars. It's just a wooden star so I thought it could go, I don't

know where I'm gonna put this. I'm going to do a decorating with me video with my

family. We usually put up our Christmas decorations the day before Thanksgiving

so I will film that day and hopefully you guys will be interested in seeing

how we decorate our house for Christmas. So that will go up probably the week

after Thanksgiving. But these are those little the little string lights on the

battery pack. I love these. These are kind of a rose gold color. Again all this

stuff came from the target dollar bins. I got "say yes to new adventures." I don't

know if I'll keep this or I'm thinking these might make good gifts for someone.

These little trays: "be happy be bright you" I love picking these up and giving

these as gifts. That's probably what I will do here. And then they had a ton of

these letters in the flannel print so I picked up an H for "Howell" our last

name. I picked up these in silver. I picked up two of these silver ones for the

nursery here to put some stuff in: clothes, diapers, that kind of thing. But I

thought that was super cute so I picked up two of those. And then they had

flannel ones. I kind of wish I'd gotten another one. I wish I'd gotten the green

print to go along with the stockings but I went back later and they didn't have

the green print anymore. But I picked up the red one so I really like this one as

well. All right so I thought you might be

interested ind some clothes I picked up. Finley didn't have, she doesn't have too

many warm clothes and since I'm going back to work I need to keep some extra

outfits at work and in the car and all over the place. And she also needed

another hat. I have one cute hat that a friend made that has a pom-pom on the

top but I needed a second hat so I picked up this at our grocery store... the

Lidl grocery store. Well I have a video on the Lidl grocery store so I'll post

that in the description box down below but I just thought this is a really cute

little hat and it was only $3. $3 or $4? I don't remember. It was either three or

four but It has the fleece lining. And I just I don't know if you can tell but it

has a little bit of sparkle .but it's got the pink and the gray. I think it's look

really cute on her. I picked up some more of these long-sleeved onesies. This

one says "not yet famous." this is from Kohl's. and then "one of a kind"," I'm

not sleepy" and then "well-behaved babies rarely make history."

how cute are those? I picked those up at Khoo's. and then I also got her another

jacket. she had an aunt give her this fleece jacket in just six months size

but it's too big for her. I've been putting on her and the hat goes over her

face. so I went ahead and picked it up in the three month size which is what

she's wearing now. and then at Target I picked up warmer clothes in the 6

month size. so here is this one. was in the clearance section. so this was really

cute. Might be meant for boys but it's gray. it's cute. and then I picked up this

little sweater outfit with the penguin. and then I was hoping first this says 12

pounds I'm at 12 and a half pounds it starts. there's no way. there's no way

this thing is huge! it's a 6-month cute penguin but I will insert a picture of

her and how oversized it is but she has the cutest smile in the picture. I think

I posted on my Instagram account as well so if you're, if you don't follow me on

Instagram you might want to follow me. the link is down in the

description box below. I also wanted to point out a really cute lamp that I

bought at Target recently and it's been in a past couple of videos. I'm turning

it off now. I kept wanting to turn the lamp on because it has really cute stars

but it's back here. I hope you can see it on the side table but it's a globe and

it's white and it's adorable. I bought that at Target. and then I also bought

this mobile over here. she needed something for her crib. I'm trying to get

Finley into her crib. and so we bought this Mobile at Target as well. and

that is what I have show you for this haul video. thank you

so much for watching. if you are new please think about subscribing and then

click that little bell to receive notifications. I post new videos every

week and I will see you in my next video. thanks for watching! bye!

HACHIKO by Sebastiano Serafini - Duration: 3:09.

Hello to you guys and welcome to a new video!

I'm wearing my father's Jacket that I took from him the last time I was in Italy

If you like it, let me know that in the comments!

As you can see: Tokyo 2020, the olimpic games are near

Today I would like to talk about a national hero; The Hachiko dog.

What kind of channel is this, if I'm not talking about Hachiko!

I would like to talk about this story.

They made a movie with Richard Gere

and before that they did also other movies.

I would like to explain you his story, since not everyone knows it.

The first time that I read it I was literally crying!

It's a true story, so no fantasy.

There is this man called Hidesaburō Ueno, he was a University professor,

one day he found an Akita dog,

he decided to take it home and he called it Hachiko.

They were always together,

The dog did accompany him to work and after work they returned home together, the dog was always waiting

it was a beautiful thing.

Every day the man was taking the train at the Shibuya station and so the dog waited for him every day.

The 21st of May 1925 mister Ueno did die, because of a cerebral hemorrhage during work and so he never returned back.

the dog waited for 10 years that mister Ueno returned, but without seeing him again.

The dog ended up living with the gardener, but however...

There are a lot of people watching and I hope that they aren't italian, but with my luck they are for sure.

The dog went there for about 10 years,

until the 1937 where a big magazine did publish an article about this dog,

and since that day he became our Lady D - this national hero of Japan

and since that day everybody did take a picture with this dog,

they brought him something to eat,

and they also dedicated him this metal statue

The 8th of March 1935 this dog did die.

First of all they did a monument in the cemetery of Aoyama

where the mister Ueno was buried

and then there is not so a nice thing...

they stuffed the dog and they putted him in the Ueno museum,

it's a lttle bit sad.

Anyway it went that way.

When I read this story I was feeling very bad

If you're in Shibuya don't forget to take a picture with this dog,

you can also admire a fresco of this dog,

let me know if you already knew this story,

for sure in some Anime you saw it.

We will see each other in another video, always at 2pm (italian time)

Thank you so much for the Likes, comments and so on,

See you tomorrow! CIAO

How To Travel With Your Cat! Tips For Travelling With Cats! How To Set Up a Car For Cat Travel - Duration: 5:04.

Hi guys! Are you moving house like Rags an I or are you going to be taking

your cat on a trip? Well Rags and I are here with a few tips to help make sure

cat is safe and happy whilst in transit. Now Rags bless her she

has been thrown between two houses across sort of a week or so and these are just

because you know moving house can be a bit difficult, but unfortunately our

new house is really not far away from my old one so all the journeys that

Ragsy has had to make have been a fairly short, but if you are planning on

moving too with your cat or you're going to be travelling a little bit longer Rags

and I are here to help you with some do's and don'ts with traveling with a cat

in the car. Now it's important that your cat is comfortable in a cat carrier especially

if they're going to be in there for a significant amount of time so make sure the

our cat is comfortable in their career now that the best way to do this is to

get a blankets that they like or something that they are new snuggly with

and keep it in there with them so throughout the journey they may feel a

little bit more comfortable in the carrier. Now Ragsy has a little bag - now

this bag is really cozy for rags and great short journeys but if you are

going to be in the car longer than say 5 or 6 hours you want to make sure

that your cat is in a carrier that it's big enough for them to move around in so

they can stand up stretch and reposition themselves you don't want your cat being

uncomfortable during the long journey. Now it is important to break up a long

journey now this is just as important for cats as it is for people - now once we go

and go to toilet or get a coffee or some snacks

your cat might need a comfort break too so once you make sure that your car is

parked and the doors are shut you can let your cat out of the carrier and let them

have a bit of a window around the car. If your cat is leash trained this is

wonderful because you can let them move out and have a lot bit more walk with

them now when it comes to using it their litter box I highly recommend that you

buy some disposable litter boxes and these are really easy to get in getting from a

large pet shops or you can get them on good old Amazon

These are just little boxes that have litter in them already and you can just

throw them out once they've been used. You could either put this in the floor

of the car and let your cat do their business or again if your cat is leash

trained you can do it outside. I'd suggest getting some of these if your car

journey is going to be longer than five or six hours now safety is of the utmost

importance. You wouldn't ride in the car without a safety belt, would you? And it's

exactly the same for your cat. They are a passenger in a moving vehicle

Now fortunately most cat carriers or animal carriers in general are designed

with ways to attach a seat belt to them but if they're not it is very easy to

get attachments from places like Amazon from pet shops or something you can ask

your vet about. These usually attach really easily and make sure that the

carrier is nice and secure. Just remember that every time that the car is moving

that your cat is strapped in. Now unfortunately cats do get car sick as people do to

Like bleep Ragsy isn't one to be a bit motion sick which is quite good

for us, but if your cat is prone to motion sickness well Rags and I actually

have a really good recipe for catnip and ginger tea which is great for an upset

stomach or for motion sickness. Now if you do

want to minimize the risk of your cat vomiting in your car, I suggest not

feeding them in the morning this means that this their stomach is empty so if

they are feeling a bit nauseous they're less likely to throw up

now don't worry your cat will be fine and waiting to eat whether it's in the

afternoon or the evening that's perfectly fine it won't do them any harm

all used to remember is that you offer your cat plenty of water during the

journey a great way of keep your cat calm during a journey is to play some

of our relaxing music for cats. Relax my cat tracks are fantastic for keeping

your cat nice and calm. Every time we take Ragsy on a little

journey we always play a track and it's super super effective

and it's also really nice to listen to it as a human as well so there's always that I've said

it once and I'll say it again two million cats can't be wrong!

Thanks for watching guys I hope that you found these tips useful

I've been taking some of these steps with my rags during her journeys between our

two houses. Now if you are traveling with a cat so please let me know in the

comment section below I want to know where you're going! Are you going on a

trip? Are you also moving house? Let me know I want to know!

Now if you have any additional comments or tips and with travelling with a cat please feel free to

leave them in the comment section below. Now if you did like the video guys

please give me a big thumbs up it helps Rags and I out so so much and if you

haven't subscribed already you know what to do hit the big red button and don't

forget to switch on the notifications to get an alert every time when our

vlogs comes out, me and Rags go live or one of our tracks gets out

Thanks again guys! and Rags and I will see you in another video! Bye!

Sonhos de Natal - Portuguese Christmas dessert (Paleo, Gluten-free) - Duration: 3:12.

The Christmas has arrived with Paleo and Gluten-free Sonhos (dreams)!

Some are made almond and sweet manioc starch

and others with cashew and arrowroot.

They are two alternatives.

The cashew and arrowroot ones makes a more liquid batter

that absorbs more olive oil

but they end up more crispy and the crunching lasts longer.

There's something that you have to make

that is not boiling too much the water

because it will thicken the batter

because that will trigger the manioc starc h bond

or even the arrowroot bond.

It´s just these tips. Let´s watch the video.

so I will film that day and hopefully you guys will be interested in seeing

how we decorate our house for Christmas.

I post new videos every

week and I will see you in my next video. thanks for watching! bye!

Jim Rohn: Building Mental Strength ( JIm Rohn Mindset ) - Duration: 51:25.

Here's how to really cash in on this year number one get serious life is serious

We call it life or

death

Somebody asked me one time if I had a good description of life. I said yes, I think I've got a good one

Life is the struggle to keep death at a respectable distance

Right death seems to want to move in prematurely prematurely if you want to live a good long flourishing

Live you got to push back. You can't just give in you got to push back

That's what these products are for to help you push back

And we're dealing with some serious matters here

So we can't just you know tell the latest ten jokes and just go home. We're not here to entertain

We're here to instruct. We're here to grow. We're here to learn. We're here to get the best we possibly can

Cirie's life is serious. The future is serious

One ancient novelist said these are the best of times and these are the worst of times

And for some of those who came across this platform at the extravaganza million dollar year in comes for them. It's the best of times

But I want you to know that while they're getting the diamonds and the millions

There are a lot of people around the world for them. It is the worst of times

the best of times and the worst of times

That's called serious manner how comes such a difference from those who can reach such incredible heights?

And those who haven't yet found the answers for their life and their health in their future

We just have to palm to that and let that give us a note of seriousness a note of seriousness

It's serious. Whether you win or lose

It's serious. Whether you succeed or fail

It's serious whether you've got a good future carved out for yourself

Or you do not have these are serious matters matters of the heart are serious

matters of income or serious matters of supporting your family

Serious, that's why I believe it's about the most serious company I've ever been around in my 33 years of executive life time

I've never met anybody more serious

We used to have in sharing the product story right had the button lose weight now

Ask me how and somebody says how our first words were what?

Are you?

Serious why we got a serious matter here to discuss we haven't come with the latest ten stories

We've come with a serious matter

And I want you to take on that serious tone

You've got some serious products that answer a serious need out there in the marketplace

And I'm asking you to take it serious take your own future serious what you can do for your family

Take it serious. This is serious business, so that's the first thing

I want to bring to you to have the best year ever this year

Help contribute to the 400 million take your piece of the 400 million. I don't know how much of that you want

It's really not that much

For 400 of us, it's only a million dollars

For 400 of us, it's only a million dollars

For 800 of us, it's only a half a million dollars half a million dollars, that's almost getting to be ridiculous

For a lot of people in this room half a million dollars

And I don't know what piece of that 400 million you want

But I'm asking you to seriously take on a piece of that 400 million

So that you can say I made my best and finest contribution to see that goal reached

Not just for the figure for the figure

But for all that the figure represents for the healing it represents for the restoration of broken lives

That it represents

And people that are serious about their life and their chances now in Courage on a new road for all that that represents

400 million take your share of the 400 million and let's get the job done

Take a piece of this and let's go for it, and then when we finished that one

We'll set another one and we've finished that one. We'll set another one and when they write the history books

they will say those Herbalife distributors took on the responsibility got out there touched people's lives and

Nobody's made a better contribution to the health of the country and then the Herbalife distributors. Let that be our reputation

I've got a new seriousness going for me

You know I could have quit and played a long time ago when Mark and Larry called me right hey. I'm semi-retired

I'm looking for the next exotic beach

And they said no, no you got to postpone all those plans we got too big a job here

We got too important to task here nothing else. You could do would touch more people's lives

Render more value to the marketplace give you greater satisfaction

Chance to belong and an international championship team and all the stuff that can happen here no

No, we got some more things to do Jim Rohn

Postpone it for a while we'll have some fun along the way. We'll enjoy each other along the way

We'll have some good times along the way

Last night was part of it some good times along the way, but I'm telling you they were right it was too early

for me to cash it in it was too early I

Needed this kind of incredible incentive to be a part of something so extraordinary

And I gladly said yes, and I'm gonna do my part

I'm gonna pick up the task here the 90s is gonna see a brand new Jim Rohn

Willing to make the studies willing to make the commitment

Willing to do the learning find better ways to choose the words

find better ways to reach inside get heart and soul mix it all together and make an impact on people when I come to your

Country when I come to your city when I come to your village when I come to your community

I want to come with some new skills. I want to come with some new power

I

want to come with the refinement of language and spirit and heart and soul and

make a contribution not just on this platform with the lights shining and the television cameras running I

Want to do it because you deserve it for the commitment that you're making out there in the marketplace

I want to back it up with the best skills I can possibly bring to help serve you in the marketplace and help serve Herbalife

new commitment

Next to make this your best year ever have a piece of the 400 million

See what you can do touch the lives of many people as you can possibly touch number one. Let's get serious

Here's number two Get Smart

At. That's what these journals are for that's what pad and pencils for that's what taking notes is for

See if you can't increase your ability to comprehend

Ideas information that can be life transforming

Don't miss the opportunity to learn take a good keyphrase home use it in your training. Don't be lazy and learning

Don't be casual than learning

Develop a whole new

Intensity for the 90s that you're not going to miss the information you're not going to miss the stories

You're not going to miss the details

Get Smart

Here's a couple of parts to it number one your own personal experience

Right if you've had a bad week

Just sit down and ponder that for a while study it see if you can't pick up some ideas from a poor week

And then make a better week

Okay

Learn from your own experiences

One way to learn to do it right is

Do it wrong I mean you know that's one way to learn to do it right do it wrong

Now the key is don't let it take too long

If you've done it wrong for a year we suggest that's long enough you don't need

Another year just to prove a point no one years enough

Learn from your own experience right so the

Call didn't go well all the stuff guess what they did when they finished that call they made

Another call what else could we do to make it better. How could we possibly improve?

This is called the possibility for life change starts with

Education don't be lazy and learning don't be lazy in picking up the ideas

Don't be lazy and learning from your own experience

That's why you've heard from some people that have shared their testimonial here and given you some of their ideas ways and means

Of taking this product of the marketplace making it work for you. We've devoted most of our time for that and well we should

Learning is the beginning of well

Learning is the beginning of life change

Some people want to start with motivation, but you don't start with motivation

You can tell we don't you know we don't spend that much time on motivation

Right some companies write by now. They'd be standing on the chairs waving the flag singing the old grey mayor or some silly thing

That's not herbalife we got a serious fast to do and we're here enough motivation certainly

But here's the best motivation. We've got going

the proof of our success

When we bring our success stories to this platform, that's enough motivation

When we bring our dedication and let it show

We let the work of our hands show that's the motivation we want

Right not just excitement. Just excitement alone won't do it. Sometimes. Just motivate this guy. He'll be alright the answer's no probably not

If a guy's an idiot you motivate him now. You've got to motivate an idiot

No

So education yet smart

Don't miss the training class

You say well. I've already been to one of those classes. I've already heard it

I got a good phrase for you to take home. That's no sign you got it

Just because you've listened to those millionaire tapes one times no sign you've got it

I'm asking you to listen to him over and over and over I'm asking you to dedicate yourself to a new level of learning in

1992 when I travel with Mark Hughes he's got his book open he's got a book open. He's reading he's studying

lives of successful people lives of despicable people

You know study learn grow change develop never let it be said you didn't learn

Write if you want to solve your problems you got to learn you want to take advantage of an opportunity you got to learn

We can't come here and just give you the marketing plan give you the product send you home

We've got to stay for a while learn

Stay for a while

Right put on those cassettes and stay for a while

right we asked you to come here for a couple of days and

Stay for a while do some learning

Take it back home so number two to have your best year ever a good piece of that 400 million make your dreams come true

number ones get serious number two

get smart

Develop your own personal philosophy here philosophy

Major determining factor in how your life works out each person's philosophy is like the set of the sail

The same wind blows on us all

The difference in where we arrive at the end of the week at the end of the month at the end of the year is

Not the wind that blows

and

The wind is blowing around the world

The world is in solution things are changing the walls have come down

All kinds of things they're happening in Russia tonight today the winds are blowing

But what's going to make the major difference each person's personal philosophy that sets a better sail sets a better sail

So don't ask for a more favorable wind that's like wishing something. That's not going to occur

Don't ask for better seed in soil all you got so what's available?

Don't curse what you got

On this planet all we gots the seed that's here the soil. That's here the miracle of life. That's here the opportunity

That's here the seasons that are here. That's all we got

Wherever you've come from in your country the economy. You got that's all you got in

America our economy that's all we got the government that's all we got

The marketplace, that's all we got whatever you do don't criticize all you got

The key is to set a better sale and turn what you've got into the miracle of your future. Don't wish it was easier

Wish you were better

Don't wish for less problem wish for more skills

That's the reason for coming here spending a couple of days of intense effort

Taking notes rolling up your sleeves going to work commit yourself to learning

So that you can get smarter for the days ahead

develop your philosophy your blacks philosophy is carried it now these twelve years to extraordinary Heights those who do the work get to pay a

Philosophy that commits itself to having to find us no matter what it costs that kind of philosophy

I'm asking you to develop your own personal philosophy

Get your business philosophy going get your financial plan going

Don't violate the conclusions of your own philosophy by not executing and taking action

But that's number two get smart

Here's number three

Get going

As smart as you might become after these two days as many ideas as you take away from here

They're truly as Larry mentioned like seeds to be planted in the soil

You've got to get going you got to take action

The disciplines is the miracle process and here's how to get the miracle of your future going as far as disciplines are concerned number one?

Do what you can you?

Might go home and set a whole new pace for yourself, and we call it cleaning up neglect

Should walk around the block could walk around the block for your good health don't walk around the block. See you're on the wrong track

Should read could read don't read on the wrong track

Should call could call don't call on the wrong track

Could change

should change

Don't change. You're on the wrong track

Letters you haven't written conversations. You haven't had with your family

Somebody you should sit down with when you get back home get that job done

don't let neglect destroy your days destroy your life and destroy your future go back and do what you can and

If you'll do what you can then life will give you some extraordinary things to do

We all pity them in right wants to stride out of his house go straighten out the corporation is not yet straightened out his garage

You got to take care of the small disciplines before life will give you a chance to handle the more complicated disciplines

How do you think Mark Hughes got here scattered now throughout 14 15 countries another 14 15 coming up in me

How do you do this you start first with the smallest of disciplines and do not neglect them and do not disregard them as being

Trifling everything matters everything's important

Good phrase to take home all disciplines affect each other

In fact here's a good philosophical phrase if you hadn't thought of it before here. It is everything affects everything else

It's so easy to be casual and say well. This doesn't matter this doesn't matter. I'm telling you everything matters

Of course some things matter more than others, but there isn't anything that doesn't matter

Then here's the

Positive side every new discipline affects all your other disciplines

If you'll get some new things going make some calls you've never made before

Step up your activity level step up your labor level

Develop the skills from these two days of training here

And you'll go home and work some miracles on your days and your life

And your future and your income your business and a bigger portion of that four hundred million will certainly be yours go

for the disciplines the smallest of disciplines the least of disciplines

Like keeping your accounts in order

the smallest of disciplines

Did you ever hear this expression? I don't know where it all goes. Do you hear that?

I don't know where it all goes

Wow Oh we'd love to have you around Herbalife you don't know where it all goes

How long do you think we'd last here in Herbalife if that was your philosophy sitting at the top like Mark Hughes

Let me give you the story on Mark Hughes mark knows where

everything goes and

He started back when he only had pennies. He started back when he only had dollars. He started back when he didn't have much

But here's the key one of the greatest extraordinary phrases, that's ever been written from antiquity says if you'll be faithful

If you'll be disciplined when the amounts are small will make you a ruler give you a position of authority when the amounts are many

Somebody said I've only got two or three distributors. I don't know where they are

Come on

If you've only got two or three you can know when they get up you can know when they go to bed

You can know all the details take care of your disciplines when the amounts are small and

Then life will see to it that you get some extraordinary numbers to work with like you saw the stories displayed here

Do not disregard the smallest of disciplines

Let us not neglect. Do not neglect the smallest of disciplines and build on that foundation

And you can have everything you could possibly want

Okay

Get going

Here's number four get better

There isn't any of us that can't get better so turn on this whole idea of personal development and personal growth

That was what my teacher shared with me to change my life

Starting a few steps from here that convention

I'm telling you for things to get better you got to get better

Don't ask for it to change out there. Ask for you to change here. Don't ask for a more favorable wind we call that naive?

Don't ask for better seed better soil. This is the only planet you got

Just ask that you can get wiser and stronger and better

Be able to take care of your own responsibilities

Get better

Learn how to handle the seasons better. Let's go through them

Some stuff I did on satellite many many years ago

Let me just review those notes for you

On this getting better part learn how to handle the seasons of life number one learn how to handle the winters

We're all gonna go through some winters Herbalife's been through a few

Just the winters of the calendar in the last 12 years. How many winters?

About twelve

But it's not just the winters of the calendar. It's not just the winters of the seasons

There's all kinds of winters the winter when you can't figure it out the winter when it all goes wrong

The winter when you have all kinds of hecklers on a telephone call

Right the winter when you get that first half a dozen refunds

the winters of your life

social winters political winters that were going through around the world

Economic winters that a lot of people are experiencing these days

Personal winters when your heart is smashed in a thousand pieces, and the nights are unusually long

It is simply called winter time

But here's what you got to do in your own personal develop and your own personal growth and that is just get better at handling

The winters you can't change the winter

You can't change the seasons, but you can change yourself

You say well, what can I do about the upcoming winters of my life the challenge is that I know I'm gonna face

Here's what you can do you can get wiser and stronger and better

Just make a list of that trio of words wiser

stronger

Better go home smarter than you came go home with more ideas than you came with

Next

get stronger

You can develop a muscle you

Can develop the courage muscle you can develop the inspiration muscle you can develop the dedication muscle you can get stronger

There isn't anybody here that can't get

Stronger next time we see you may not even recognize you how strong you're gonna be able to become in language and style personality

The ability to cope the ability to handle with anything that happens no matter what happens

And the third one is get better we can all get better. I've gotten better

First talk I gave I stood up my mind sat back down

I

Love to wait for the translation to finish see if I can get some more reaction here

But here's the secret to my success I stood up and did it again

I stood up and I did it again, and I did it again, and I did it again all those many years ago

I did it when I was scared and I didn't when I didn't want to and I did it when I was ill

And I did it when it didn't work well

I didn't did it when they didn't appreciate it

And I didn't a lot of times when I didn't know much what I was doing. I just did it anyway

And now all these years later. I'm asked to walk on this stage

With the greatest introduction I've ever had greatest response and welcome. I've ever had the greatest opportunity

I've ever had to touch this many lives with a mixture of words and heart and soul I

Got better. I got better day by day and week by week and month by month

And I'm asking you to do the same thing until you can develop a long arm and a long reach

Until you can develop influence that won't quit touch people next year you couldn't touch this year touch people now you couldn't touch it before

Conduct a meeting now. You couldn't conduct before heart and soul now mixed in there that wasn't there's missing before

I'm asking all of you to get better in spite of the winters in spite of the downturn

The money downturn the social downturn the personal downturn whatever it is just

get stronger

Get better

We've all got those personal winters

We know what those are like Barbra Streisand sings it used to be so natural to talk about forever

But used to bees don't count anymore they just lay on the floor till we sweep them away

You don't sing me love songs. You don't say you need me, and you don't bring me flowers anymore a

winter song

But hey we're acquainted with all those personal winters and all the rest of it the key is not to wish for a better winter

The key is to wish for more strength more wisdom more courage get better get wiser get stronger

Here's number two

Learn to take advantage of the spring

Spring means opportunity

And we've got a fresh spring going here, it's called a spring like no other a

Spring and opportunity like no other for you

But here's the clues spring is not a guarantee of a harvest in the fall in the autumn harvest time

Here's what you must learn to do underline the two words if you're taking notes take

advantage

Take advantage of the spring don't just be faked out by the spring because the nice weather has come

Looks like everything is gonna be a lot better the winters finally past the spring is here. I'm telling you

That's not going to do it for you. Just because the spring is here. It's not gonna do it for you

You've got to seize it with your own two hands

and take advantage

Read the books

study the tapes

Go back through your notes

Get ready to cash in on the spring and now there's a sense of urgency here. Here's why spring doesn't last that long

To be able to say I just got back doesn't last that long it's called a spring time of opportunity

Postpone a few things in the springtime get the job done

Set aside a few things in the springtime get the job done where I was raised in Idaho farm country

What if you asked a farmer to go bowling in the spring?

What would he probably say it would say you're insane you can go bowling in the winter

When you can't plant the crop you can't go bowling in the spring

You've only got a certain piece of time and you got to get it done in that certain window of opportunity

And that's what we've got here a window of opportunity allistic advantage of it

It's called take advantage of the spring and there's also an urgency here. How many Springs have you got in a lifetime not very many?

Life is brief at the longest

The Beatles wrote life is very short

And for John Lennon it was extra short for Michael Landon. It was extra short

But it is short

There's an urgency here. Don't waste your Springs

Don't just let them pass Fastpass hoping the time will pass

take advantage

Last year it was seized the moment

And I'm asking you now this season to seize the spring

Opportunity you've got a new organization going seize the spring you've got a new distributor going seize the spring

You've got a new life situation going seize the spring take advantage of it

Don't let it pass without giving it the best of your two hands

And your attention number three first learn how to handle the winter second take advantage of the spring number three

In the summer learn to nourish and protect

We've got some major challenges now come summertime one is to nourish our values

Take care of them feed them

Don't let them go hungry. Don't let them go wanting and nourishment and care

Then here's something else we've got to do in the summer

Defend ourselves against the enemies

Summer time is a unique time. It's a time of opportunity

It's also a time of challenges, but what else is new is what life is called

The last six and a half thousand years reads like this opportunity mixed with difficulty

opportunity mixed with challenge

We've got a chance to grow like never before, but I'm telling you there's going to be many enemies

That's going to try to prevent us

As soon as you plant the garden the busy bugs

And the noxious weeds are out to take it and you've got to learn not only to nourish your values

You've got to learn to do battle with

your enemies

Whatever threatens you

I'm asking you to threaten it back

Take care of your responsibilities

But don't take anything off anybody

Somebody wants to destroy your chances for a good future buy their negative talk negative thinking putting it all down

I'm telling you walk away if you have to walk away

Whatever threatens you threaten it back whatever threatens your opportunity threatened it back now some of our enemies are on the outside

But here's the most important thing to understand some of our enemies are on the inside

Let me give you a quick list in difference. You got to do battle with your own indifference

Boy, it's easy to coast

Especially if you've accomplished something you know extraordinary now missus. I gotta relax. Here's the key not too long

The weeds will take all you plant if you rest too long don't rest too long

in decision

You got to make those decisions the ones that don't turn out to be good gives you experience to make better decisions

Don't let much time go by without making some decisions the ones that you can make quickly make them quickly the ones that take time

Take your time

But get those decisions made don't let indecision be an enemy rob you of the future empty your bank account

Leave you with zero in the purse don't let that happen

The next one is doubt

Sure, there's doubts on the outside people doubt that America is gonna. Make it people doubt that Europe is gonna make it

People doubt that Russia is gonna make it the Poland's gonna make it the Czechoslovakia is gonna make it

They doubt the whole world is gonna make it

But I'm asking you not to pick up all those doubts

I'm asking you to have some faith have some courage believe drive your doubts into a small corner

Don't let them loose like a mad dog drive you into a small corner

Don't doubt the future. Don't doubt the possibilities. Don't doubt the extraordinary gifts that your distributors bring to your organization

Don't doubt that and here's the most important one of all don't doubt yourself

If I've got miracle-working power to change my life, so do you

If I've got the ability to change so do you if I've got the ability to read so do you if I can discover so?

Can you if I can grow you can grow?

If I can develop you can develop if I can get an invitation like I got six years ago

Help take something around the world so can you if I can stand on this platform?

Idaho farm boy raised in obscurity so can you if the millionaire team can do it?

Presidents team can do it walk off with the diamonds the trophies so can you I'm asking you don't sell yourself short

We haven't sold you short

that's why

mark Larry and dr

Katzen and I've decided to invest a big share of our life these four days and being with all of you

If we didn't think you were worth it. We wouldn't have showed up

We don't need to conduct another meeting. We don't need to walk on another stage

We don't need to get up early

Like we get up

Don't need it

Except for the challenge and the opportunity to invest in this many people's lives who wouldn't get up early to have a chance to work

Miracles and invest in this many people's lives and help turn the world upside down for better nutrition called durable life

Here's the next one worried. I'm asking you to drive worried into a small corner. You got a worrisome

All this negative stuff serves serve some purpose, but the key is for you to be the master not the servant

If it's two o'clock in the morning and your daughter's not home yet best you worry

In New York City if you step off the curb and one of those yellow taxis is coming best you worried

But here's what I'm asking you to do you be the master of worry

Drive it into a small corner. Don't let it loose

And I'm asking you to go home with some new faces and some new courage

I'm asking you. Don't worry Drive it into a small corner. We've all got concerns and sometimes we all wonder and sometimes

There's a little crack of doubt

we worry a little, but I'm telling you drive it into a small corner drive your worries into a small corner I

Promise you from this platform

The dedication of the executives that you've seen and the president's team members and the people that have walked off with one through ten

I'm telling you. We're all dedicated to help this herbalife future that includes all of you be the most spectacular thing

That's happened in the 90s. I promise you not to worry because you're in good hands

You're in good hands

And now what I want you to be able to say if you give Mark Hughes the telephone call

Or if you have a chance to talk to Mark Hughes in person

Whatever village you come from whatever speech you've come from wherever you come from

I'd like for you to be able to say sincerely and honestly with all the dedication you possibly can Mark Hughes

I want you to go to bed at night and sleep like a baby because where I came from when I go back and represent

Herbalife in that community, I want to reassure you Mark Hughes Herbalife in that community is in good

hands

I want some of you Germany

Get together form a little coalition from Germany

After you've gotten out there and gotten your hands into it and you've had a chance to work in labor for a while

send mark use a

Message and say mark use the distributor's that have now joined forces in Germany

You can rest easy mark use in Germany Herbalife is in good

hands

And all of the rest of the countries make that your dedication make it personally make it collectively as an organization

This incredible opportunity has been dropped in our lap. It's been given to us

We're gonna take it to the marketplace and we're gonna take it to the marketplace with good hands steady hands growing hands

Intelligent hands that can go touch people and get the job done

I'm asking you to commit to them

Herbalife is in good hands

Couple of more enemies of the mind you got to do battle with in the summer

One is pessimism that

Tries to get you only to see the negative side of course. There's the negative side life is part negative. What else is new

If the glass is half-empty it is half-empty you say well. I've been only taught to see that a tough full well sure it's half-full

But it's also

Half-empty, I mean can't you handle that I mean you know that's not too difficult

But here's what pessimism would try to get you to do

believe that it's only half empty and

When pessimism comes to your mind you've got to educate pessimism because pessimism is stupid

Pessimism tries to get you to believe that it's only

Half empty you got to say pessimism. You've never been to school

Too dumb and stupid to know of course it's half empty, but it's not only half empty. It's also

half full

I'm asking you to be in charge be in charge of your own mind be in charge of your own destiny

Do battle with your enemy in the summertime

In the summertime you've got to learn to love like a mother hate like a father

Give life like a mother nourish take life like a father

Father says to whatever threatens his family

Take two or three more steps toward this family and threaten them you'll cease to exist I'm father I kill

To battle with your enemies

Now it's also possible to love like a father and hate like a mother

I'm not saying that is impossible nothing more dangerous than an angry mother

I

Saw an article in a magazine a little bit ago up in Canada

It showed a man with some claw marks on his back had his shirt off big teeth marks in his neck

This man was out in the woods had his flash camera saw him mama bear with a little cub

Thought though this is cute. Took a flash picture mama bear takes unkindly to this flash picture

Promptly chases the man catches him almost kills him

Before somebody rescued him so beware mama bear

Gay

Love like a father hate like a mother give life like a mother take life like a father however

You want to arrange it just so you nourish your values nourish your family nourish

What's valuable for you nourish your organization nourish your distributors?

Nourish your customers take care of your responsibilities feed nourish, but then I'm also asking you to do battle with

Your enemies take sword to your enemies whatever's going to destroy those values take sword do it if it's worry take sword to it

If it's threat threaten back

You got to be like your bloodstream good illustration red corpuscles to nourish

like a mother

white corpuscles to fight and kill like a father

You got to do some negative thinking and just think positive

Thank God for white corpuscles that think negative all day

White corpuscle say just show me some infection. I'll kill it

Whatever threatens this body and its future gets threatened whatever it's not to kill this body gets killed. I'm asking you

Take sword to your enemies

Whether they're on the outside or whether they're on the inside protect your family protect your future protect your values love nourish

But also do battle with whatever is out there to do battle with you

Take some courage from some of those that have been through the battle. They've given you their stories on this stage

They've been through it. They know what it's all about take some courage from that and in the summer

Do battle and nourish now. Here's the last one in the harvest. I'm number four

Take your harvest and all that comes your way with full responsibility don't complain

That fourth-season complaining I'm telling you could ruin all of your chances

Complaining sometimes starts as an infection if you don't take care of it it becomes a disease you

Battle with it

In the harvest time reap your harvest without complaint. It's your crop

You sowed it you either made the calls or didn't make the calls you wrote the letters

You didn't write the letters you were steady, or you weren't steady

You did it or you didn't do it you put together a good day

Or you didn't put together a good day

Take responsibility when the harvest time finally comes and say hey, it's my crop got to take responsibility for it

I do not complain, and then here's a next one do not apologize

If you've done well

We offer no apologies when these winners

That walked across this stage here go back to their communities we offer no apology for making the kind of money they make

Because of the lives they touched and the people that they helped no telling what would have happened if these people have not touched many

People's lives who touched many people's lives when you go back to the community all of you that were winners here

I ask you to go back with no apology because you've done your job well

And you've given good hands to everybody you've touched you deserve all the money

Next

Under getting better, I just want to make you make this list of four words four words

First we talked about getting serious second get smart third get going forth this get better and

Here's four good words to take home one is absorbed develop the skill and the ability to absorb everything

Be like a sponge like you've been today this has been a good serious group

I appreciate that you've worked as hard as we have up here on this platform

You've rolled up your sleeve, and you've gone to work and you've taken notes, and I appreciate that

Absorb everything you can absorb the sights and the sounds and the color guess what you're going to want to do

Go back home, and invest this experience into other people's lives, and you can't invest it if you haven't got it

So I'm asking you to appreciate the color. I'm asking you to appreciate the auditory. I'm asking you to appreciate what's going on here

I'm asking you to appreciate each other soak this all up soak it all up

It's called absorb absorb absorb then when you get back home

You can give out give out give out, and you'll have an extraordinary effect on the people that you reach out in touch

Here's the next one develop the ability to respond

That's what got me almost six years ago mark and Larry made that call I responded it touched me

The vision they gave me the story they gave me the pictures they painted and the numbers they gave me what we could do together

The team we could build Amon ate the industry walk head and shoulders above anything else. That's out there have an extraordinary adventure

That's only been given to a few a chance to walk the summit got me touched me

Now I'm asking you however not only to be touched with the summit numbers the 400 million

I'm asking you to be touched with the smallest of people's

Challenges don't just be touched with the challenge. I'm asking you to be touched with the problem

Let people's problems get to you let people's problems touch your heart this year like never before

Be touched

Let life touch. You don't let it kill you, but let it touch you

The problems that are out there people struggling with their economy struggling with their

Struggling with their future. I'm asking you to let that get around your heart

Let it do something to you. Don't go on touch. Don't go unmoved

When you walk out of here open yourself up. Don't build up the walls

The same wall that keeps out disappointment keeps out happiness and opportunity

Take the walls down and let yourself be touched by what's going on out there. Let's sad things. Make you sad

as well as happy things make you happy let your heart get touched and

You'll have good hands then to take this product to the market place here is number three

Develop the ability to reflect

long after this

Session is over. I'm asking you to go back over it one more time

I'm asking you at the end of the day go back over your day

I'm asking you at the end of the week go back over your week make that week more valuable

At the end of the month go back over your month

At the end of a conversation go back over the conversation

How did it go and what did you do learn by reflecting?

I call it run the tapes again of your own experiences, and you say why do that here's why?

To developed extraordinary ability to gather up the past and invest it in the future

what a next year you could have if you pay more attention this year soak it up gather it up and

Reflect at certain times what's going on and what's happening and this year?

We'll take a more powerful place in your experience and then when you get ready to deliver in

1993 people will not believe the words you've chosen they will not believe in heart and soul that you've mixed with words

They won't believe the power you've got a few simple things here under getting better

Then here's the last one and that's to share

We've got this extraordinary opportunity now let us not keep it. Let us share it

Let us reach out with a long reach a strong reach an unprecedented reach

Let us reach out and touch people not just with our opportunity. Let's touch people with our lives

Let's touch people with our experiences

Let's touch people with our heart and soul let's don't just touch people with the marketing plan and a distributor kit

Let's touch people with their health yes

With an opportunity yes

But here's a commitment I'd like to have you make to me

Let's help people with their lives not just their health

Let's help people with their lives not just their income

Let it be said if they were around us one week one month or a lifetime

That when they got around us not only did we talk?

About money not only did we talk about product we talked about life. We talked about getting better

We talked about becoming all that you can become we talked about picking up a challenge

We talked about not settling for less than you can possibly be

Let's do that. Let's develop those abilities

Now here's my last two parts to make this your best year ever get excited

And excitement is not just you know excitement excitement that runs deep is the excitement that really lasts for a lifetime

not surface excitement

There's been a lot of noise here, but what I really appreciate and

Feel is that this room is full of more than noise. It's full of more than sound

I'll tell you what's really going to serve you well

And that's the excitement you feel inside that isn't even probably expressed on the outside the excitement that runs deep

The excitement that stirs commitment the excitement that stirs courage

Give me the chance and I will get the job done that kind of excitement

Develop that kind of attitude

Getting excited about your own skills get excited about your own abilities. You can put it into words

If I can start with nothing finally stand on this platform delivered best words

I can choose words are clumsy at best when you try to express what's going on in your heart your head

but I've done my best, but I'm telling you if I can find the words you can find the words and

Here's a key here

Communicate

Don't leave it unsaid if somebody's got

Some congratulations coming don't fail to congratulate them if a distributor has got a word of praise coming don't fail to give it don't fail

To say it don't fail to say

Find the best words you can struggle with the best words you can borrow some words if you have to I

Borrow all kinds of words

Winston Churchill one time said truth is incontrovertible

Malice may attack it and ignorance made you ride it but in the end there it is

See I love to borrow that I mean you know that's better said than I could say it

You see that's well said you could stay up all night, and not think of that. I mean it's well said

I'm asking you to borrow the words that have come from this platform borrow the words that have come from the top ten

Borrow the words that have come from the distributors who have shared so eloquently with you borrow their words borrow their notes

But then I'm asking you to start

Choosing the best words you can we want you to get good at these skills of?

Communicating skills of touching people's lives with words touching their heart with words

Helping them to see something. They've never been able to see before by your words choose the best words you can

Don't fail with an opportunity to challenge yourself to choose good words

Search for the words

Struggle for the words, but don't let somebody within the scope of your influence go without your words

Words work miracles

Words can help people to see something they've never seen before

There's a lot of people you haven't got to yet

They can't see how they can possibly be healthy and if you'll come along with your good words you can turn on all

For them they can't see how they can possibly be successful, and if you'll come along with your testimonial

That's why Herbalife is built on testimonials words that work

Miracles helps people to see and when you come along and tell your story

People are gonna say before you got here. I was blind and now that you've talked to me

I can see I can see the possibilities

I can see the opportunity I can see that if I take a hold of this thing I can change my life

I can see it. I can see it. I can see it

I'm asking you don't miss the chance to work miracles with your words get excited about your possibility to work miracles with words

And now here's my last word to you, and I'm finished for this day

But let me give you this last one to make this your best year ever get away

Get away balance your life. Take care of your family

Take care of your responsibilities take care of your spirituality

Take care of good friendships, we've got to have some friends

That's why I'm here. I made these extraordinary friendships

way back when

They've lasted all these years now. Got me an invitation to participate in something so extraordinary this came about from a friendship now

I had the skill summits as well. You know they offered you millions in a chance here. Just because you were friends know

You don't just offer your friends and millions

No

They gotta have some skills

So I did bring skills

But I'm telling you my chance to bring my gifts and my skills to you today was because I nourished these

friendships over all these years

So make sure you balance your life family friendship

Friends are those people who know all about you and still like you okay? You've got to have some of those

How To Become a Self-Taught Programmer? - Duration: 7:25.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I'm going to talk about a topic today on how to become a self-taught developer.

How to become a soft—how to become a self-taught developer or becoming a software developer,

teaching yourself to code, however you want to phrase it.

I don't have a specific question, but I get asked this a lot, and I'm going to make this

video too because I'm getting a lot of pushback from some of you that I'm promoting coding

boot camps.

I've got a book, The Complete Software Developer's Career Guide and actually in that book, I

give you the three paths.

I say college, self-taught and boot camp and I gave you the pros and cons of each one,

right?

Am I little bit biased towards the boot camp?

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that self-taught isn't a good way to go.

It's just that the only reason why I recommend boot camp over self-taught is because it provides

you a little bit of structure and it sort of cuts out the noise.

I want to tell you if you do want to become a self-taught software developer, how you

can do that because it's basically what I did and it's definitely possible, especially

today.

Here's the thing.

Let's start from the very beginning on how to do this.

The very first thing that you want to do is you want to figure out what it is exactly

that you want to accomplish because a lot—this is a mistake, right?

I coach a lot of developers.

By the way, if you want my coaching, you can check it out at simpleprogrammer.com/coaching.

It's expensive but I don't need to.

I don't need a personal coach.

I could just tell you this if this is what you're trying to do, okay?

A lot of developers that I'm coaching, one of the biggest mistakes that they make is

that they're trying to learn so many different things and they're scattered in their approach.

I talk about this a lot but this is really, really important.

If you're going to be self-taught, the key thing is focus and discipline.

This is why that it doesn't work out for a lot of people, especially today because

there's a lot of distractions, a lot of noises like the squirrel over there.

In order to do this, you got to start with a very, very clear goal in mind.

There are so many different things you could learn, so many technologies.

What I want you to do is I want you to just work backwards and I want you to go and pick

a job description for the kind of job that you'd like.

Maybe you do some research and kind of get some general idea of what kind of field, what

kind of technologies you'd like to use.

Once you've figured that out, then you go and you look for jobs and you look at the

job descriptions and you see what they have in common.

You see what technologies and languages like what would it take to get this job instead

of—because if you're looking to become a software developer, that's a very amorphous

term.

What does it mean to become a software developer?

When have you arrived?

If you say, "I would like to get this kind of a job," that's a better question.

If you say, "I would like to get this specific job.

What would it take for me to get this exact job?"

Now, we've got—now, you can even call up to hiring manager, you can just say, "Hey,

what would it take to get this job?" or you can call someone at the company or you can

email them or ask them and say, "Hey.

You know, I'm not applying for this job right now, I'm not ready, but I just want to know

like if I were trying to get this job, what would I need to know exactly, like I read

the job description.

I have some questions about the job description.

What do I need to know exactly?

Like if I knew this, this and this, would that be like what you're looking for?"

You see what I'm saying?

You might even be able to get them on a Skype caller phone call and get them to give you

some of the information.

Now, you've got somewhere to go.

Now, you've got a goal in mind.

Another way to do this would be to say like let's say that you want to be able to build

an app.

Well, if you think, okay, I want to be able to build an Android app and I want it to be

able to do this stuff and you envision or you see an app out there that's already on

the app store and say, "I want to be able to create that," that's a goal.

Now, you can work backwards from there.

From there, now you work backwards and you have a skillset.

You know exactly what you need to learn and now you can make a plan to learn that.

That's what's key.

I know it's not free and it's not maybe what you want to hear.

You want to explore these different technologies and learn all the stuff, but that's how you

do it.

That's how you become a self-taught software developer and that's where you start.

That's not where you finish.

I'll give you a couple resources.

One of them, my favorite resources, Pluralsight.

You can check it out here.

I'm an author on the site.

I did 55 courses for them and I taught a ton of topics.

You can find a lot of courses.

I mean for like 30 bucks a month, I think is what it costs now.

You can get access like thousands of courses.

Just sign up for that so that you can have the resources that you need.

Obviously, books.

My book, The Complete Software Developer's Career Guide, talks about all this, getting

started as a software developer, getting your first job, all of these things.

If you want to become a self-taught software developer, you probably want to get that as

well.

There's ton of YouTube tutorials and free stuff out there.

One resource a lot of people have been recommending is freeCodeCamp, in which it has a ton—it's

basically self-taught.

It's not really a code camp because you're self-teaching yourself.

You're getting a little bit more guidance.

There's plenty of resources.

I don't really need to recommend the resources.

Instead, like I said, the key thing is just focusing on having that goal and then I'll

tell you, once you do that and once you have the skills required and you start applying

for those jobs and you finally get that job, it's not done.

Now, you go when you fill in the rest of the stuff.

Now is where I start to learn some of the computer science stuff and the algorithms

then now is where I would start to like broaden my skill set a little bit.

You want to have what they call as a T-shape knowledge where you have—it's like a T.

You have really deep knowledge in one area, but you've got a broad base.

First, get the deep knowledge in one area so that you can get the job.

You're going to learn a lot from just having a job and actually working in the industry

and then you broaden that base out and maybe you can pick more specialties that you're

going to go into.

Becoming a self-taught software developer is not the easiest thing in the world and

it's mostly because of the noise.

We've got so much information out there.

You've just got to be able to sort through the information, and the best way to do that

is just to have an objective.

If you have a target, you're going to be able to aim at that target and you're going to

know.

It's still going to be hard.

You're still going to have to learn.

You're still going to have to devote the time, but that's going to get you closer and closer

to the goal because you're going to know which direction you're supposed to move.

Like I said, I could give you all kinds of pieces of advice on how to do this, but if

you just do this one thing you'll figure it out.

If you have an actual target and you actually have a goal and, like I said, you're trying

to become a developer to get that job or to build that app, then you're going to know

which way to go, or if you need some help along the way, if you want to invest in some

coaching, I could coach you on the help along the way.

That would be more valuable to me just telling you to pick a damn goal because that's—most

people don't focus and pick a goal, but try it first.

If you're having trouble, if you want to become a self-taught developer, pick the goal and

see if you can figure it out.

Most people will be able to figure it out on your own.

It might take you a year.

Some people, it takes six months to get a job, honestly, like I've got plenty of success

stories on my channel where people have done that.

I also know people that have spent four years studying and they're not quite ready yet because

they keep on switching technologies and they don't have a goal.

They just think that someday they're going to be just feel like they're a software developer

and they can start applying for jobs.

That's not going to happen.

Don't go down that road.

That's the dead end.

All right.

That's all I got for you today.

Make sure you click that Subscribe button below and click the bell so you don't miss

any videos.

I'll talk to you next time.

Take care.

7 Reasons Why The Online MBTI Community Is Dominated By iNtuitives - Duration: 7:01.

7 Reasons Why The Online MBTI Community Is Dominated By iNtuitives

It's no surprise to anyone who frequents MBTI blogs, forums and online communities

to hear that sensor types are drastically underrepresented on the Internet.

While iNtuitives make up only 26.6% of the global population, they are the definite majority

in online MBTI communities.

Here are a few reasons why this imbalance occurs.

1.

Most of our societal resources are already catered toward sensors.

With sensors making up roughly 73.4% of the global population, it's only natural that

the majority of our education systems, workplaces and social norms are catered toward sensing

types.

Growing up, sensors are more likely than intuitives to be provided with the tools they need in

order to excel.

For this reason, they may be less likely to seek out systems that help them understand

themselves, and how their method of processing information relates to the world around them.

For many sensors, the MBTI is simply telling them information about themselves that they

have already been made aware of, whereas intuitives are more likely to find that the MBTI is the

first resource they've come across that directly identifies how they process information.

2.

Intuitives, by definition, enjoy exploring theory.

Intuitives enjoy understanding the bigger picture of how things connect and relate to

one another.

They want to know the 'why' and the 'how' behind what interests them, rather than just

the 'what.'

The MBTI provides intuitives with a tool for understanding what's behind human behavior

and how those around them are interpreting reality.

Since intuitives value the ability to perceive a situation from various different angles,

they enjoy using the MBTI as a means of understanding other viewpoints.

Intuitives don't just want to know how they see the world, they want to know how everyone

else around them sees it and what the implications of those various different viewpoints are.

3.

Sensors prefer learning information that they can tangibly apply to their lives.

Sensors are more than capable of deeply understanding theory, it's just that they don't want

to waste their time learning theories that are not useful to them.

An ESTJ may become incredibly interested in the MBTI if it helps him or her develop effective

leadership strategies in the workplace, or an ESFP may enjoy it if it helps him or her

better relate to others.

Whereas intuitives enjoy learning theory for the fun of it, sensors prefer learning theory

that can be practically applied in some way.

For this reason, sensors who are exposed to the MBTI may quickly lose interest in it if

they do not see a way in which it applies to their everyday lives.

4.

The MBTI provides intuitives with a community of like-minded people that many of them have

not found in real life.

With sensing types dominating the world, many intuitives types grow up feeling ostracized

from or out of place around their peers.

This may be particularly true for INxx types, who often express difficulty relating to others

in the early years of their lives.

Even the more outgoing ENxx types often report feeling as though they've only ever fit

in on a surface level, and that they grew up longing to find others who shared and understood

their true complexity.

The MBTI community connects intuitives with like-minded people who share commonalities

in the ways that they process information and view the world.

For many intuitive types, it is a massive relief to know that there are others out there

who think, feel, understand and experience the world in a similar way to them.

5.

The MBTI provides intuitives with the language that they were previously lacking to describe

their problems.

Intuitives must reason their way to everything: why they are feeling a certain way, why a

certain problem is continuously manifesting, why something about their life just seems

off even though they can't quite put their finger on what.

The MBTI helps intuitives assign language to the hunches and feelings that they have

never previously been able to put into words.

An 'off' day for an ENTP can be explained by a disruption to their extroverted feeling.

A continuous lack of follow-through for the INFP can be explained by under-developed extroverted

thinking.

For the most part, intuitives dislike acting without first understanding the root cause

of the problem they are facing.

And the MBTI finally provides these types with the language that they need to understand

and communicate their abstract, existential problems.

6.

Intuitives tend to spend more time thinking than doing – therefore they spend more time

on the Internet.

To the average intuitive, exploring and debating ideas is significantly more interesting than

putting those ideas into practice.

An INTJ may enjoy designing a system significantly more than they enjoy implementing it.

An INFP may enjoy reflecting on their feelings for someone more than they enjoy actually

spending time with that person.

As a result of their tendency to prefer speculation over implementation, many intuitives spend

a significant portion of their time reading, researching, debating and sharing ideas online.

Whereas sensors want to see the potential results of their theorizations as soon as

possible, most intuitives are happy to dissect and analyze a theory seemingly forever, and

the Internet is a great place to do just that.

7.

The intuitive community (unfortunately) fuels a sense of backlash toward the sensing community.

Let's take a minute to talk about the very real intuitive bias that exists in the MBTI

world.

Many Ns grow up feeling as though their particular form of intelligence is being misunderstood,

disregarded or overlooked by the sensors that surround them.

Therefore, it is a relief to finally find a community in which their strengths are both

understood and celebrated.

While finding the MBTI community is a wonderful experience for most intuitives, it has also

spurred a unique online counterculture, in which many intuitive types glorify iNtuition

as a trait that is superior to sensing and deem themselves a master intellectual race.

This attitude is often quick to turn sensors off of the MBTI, just as intuitives often

see their form of intelligence go unappreciated in the real world, sensors often see their

SARAWAK FOOD TOUR- more of KUCHING'S MOST FAMOUS DELICIOUS FOODS | Food and Travel Channel |Malaysia - Duration: 13:20.

we are in Kuching with Sarawak Tourism. Sarawak is a state on Malaysian Borneo

and today we're taking you on Part 2 of our food tour of Kuching city to

discover some of Kuching's most famous foods, I'm Thomas and I'm Sheena and

we're Chasing a Plate, we hope you're hungry, let's eat!

there is so much to eat in Kuching so this is part two of our food tour of our

Kuching city series Part 1 is linked up there so head on over and check it out if

you haven't already but for now stick with us we are going

to be doing a lot of eating today let's go and find our first snack

first stop

this big bao or big bun and it is pretty big let's just rip into it now

this is a chicken one so it's a steamed bun, they've got these stacks out the

front of the restaurant with them all sitting in the steamers and warming up

just get some of that paper off right oh it's really got quite a bit of firmness

oh look it's like a patty in there oh wow

oh and there's an egg wow so there's like a gravy sauce I'm gonna need this

fork so this is like a chicken patty almost, wow and then an egg I've cut a

big bit off and look at it so it's a really firm bit inside I've got no egg

here but let's just try it as is

that chicken with that sauce is amazing, it is so sweet but not in a

gross way in a really tasty way like a it's go a little bit of sourness I don't

know what from it's just got that sweet and sour sort of feeling to it oh and the

bun the bun is not super light it's kind of has a almost a skin on the outside

but it's very light once you eat it

oh that is so, so good I love how it's kind of a patty inside that's

awesome let's get a little bit of this egg, get some more of the, the actual

meat, woah look at that, all that egg yolk on there

creamy, that sweetness, the soft bun, that is a really good start to the food

tour day in Kuching but we have two things from the same restaurant this is

sio bee which is like a siu mai which is a something you'll get at yum cha

normally so what we'll have it's a little dumpling steamed once again which will

have pork inside, now the siu mai normally has prawn, I don't think these

do but let's find out, we've got some chilli sauce ooo that looks quite sweet

so we've got a little bit of chilli sauce we put on there it's just cut it

in half so I can see what's in there

quite hard in this little container yes so just pork so it's got a like a dumpling

skin on the outside and you can see that, the texture from that and then pork

inside let's get it, okay I'm just gonna go for the whole thing with some chilli

sauce

really plain it's got a seafood-y taste I didn't see any seafood in there but

it does have a sort of a fishiness to it, the sauce is not very spicy at all it's

just kind of sweet that's really good quite plain, the bun for me is

definitely the winner out of these two that is an awesome start to this tour

we crossed the Sarawak River on a boat to track down our next snack and that is

kek lapis or layer cake which is famous in Sarawak and look at the one

that we found it is so colourful and so beautiful there were so many different

colour combinations in this shop that we were in, it's basically just a butter

cake and what they do is they bake it layer by layer so this would have taken

one, two, three, four, five, six, it's got seven layers so it would have taken

quite a while I've got to get into it because it looks so good now we don't

have a fork so I'm just gonna break a bit off

wow it's like a rainbow that's so cool, alright, mmm it doesn't have really any

distinctive flavour it's just made up of butter, milk, flour and obviously some food

colouring and sugar so it's just a really simple butter cake but I think the

attraction obviously is in the way that it looks it's just stunning

and we're so happy to be able to try this in Sarawak finally. Over on this

side of the river is a Malay kampung and there are quite a number of these

kek lapis shops and it doesn't just come in like plain butter flavour there was

durian flavour there was blueberry and cheese there was mint, pandan, coffee like a

whole range and what is even better is that before you make your choice there

are a tonne of samples basically every single flavour is there for you to try so

you can make sure that you're onto a winner before you buy

next up pisang goreng

or fried bananas this is a really

popular stand behind us and these look amazing

these are actually fried plantains and that's why they're so big look at this

one actually, look at this, unreal

so that is why they're so round because they're cutting these massive plantains to chuck

into that hot oil they're really hot she just did a fresh

batch so let's try it, it's all like caramel-y, you can see where the sugars are

coming out of it, so it's all shiny from that sugar oh it's gonna be so hot

oh my god the batter's gone all sticky cos of the sugars, it tastes like caramel it's so sugary the bananas

gone really soft inside or the plantain it's gone really soft inside

there's so much crunch, the sugars just come out of the plantain

into that batter so it's so crunchy and it's sticky on my fingers so it's

still a little bit oily from being in that hot, hot oil but it's kind of dry

like it's oily but it's not crazy oily is what I'm trying to say but then that

sugars come through so it's kind of oily and sticky all at the same time

they are amazing, they are so good this is a well well

worthy stop on any food tour in Kuching that's the best pisang goreng I've ever

had wow!

we stepped in from the rain because

we smelt these delicious-looking pork skewers, look at them they're just

glistening with the marinade and you can see that they're laced with like the

perfect charr off the grill and they're wallowing in this peanut sauce

and the sauce is actually if you can see here, it's quite runny but you can still

see the little chunks of peanut in there so let's just give it a big ole dunk in

that sauce and try this satay

the meat is so tender and so full of flavour and that peanut sauce just accompanies

it perfectly like it complements it because it's not overpowering it's not spicy

so there's no chilli hit it's just a really mild but flavoursome peanut sauce and

then I've also got this cucumber here so I'm going to give that a go when you

eat satay in Malaysia you'll always find that it comes with cucumber or maybe a

little bit of red onion and it really just cleanses the palate and sorta wipes

away all those bold flavours clears the palate for a next round

that is super tasty

next up we've stopped for a few more sweet treats this

is an ice dessert called matahorn so it's got a pretty

interesting name and you can see there's this shaved ice and all this liquid

and there's a whole lot of treats underneath so let's just break the ice

down and see what we can find so this looks like some maybe pandan

noodles or some maybe tapioca flour noodles there's that looks like a piece

of fruit I think that's pineapple there's some grass jelly which are the

dark bits in there, there's obviously the slice of lemon on top there is oh

look at that looks like a lychee that will be a canned lychee by the

looks of it let's just try some of this it's like really syrupy looking

it's got a real lemony taste and then that lychee flavour from the juice that

was around there, let's try a bit more with the ice and the

noodles

there must be some lemon syrup or something because it's got a real lemony

taste

and the noodles have a little bit of texture so they're just like ah I

think they must be they're either rice or tapioca flour so they're kind of

like jellies oh here's another jelly thing this is like a white some sort of

white jelly item

it's a lychee jelly, and then a fresh lychee

so like all canned lychees it's got a burst of juice because it's been in that

sugar syrup this is super refreshing now I've got some pineapple let's try that

actually so I got this bit right here look at it lots of

these noodles, grass jellies, ice a big bit of pineapple

that is really good, really fruity flavour it's just all those fruit flavours, the ice, nice

and sweet that's really good, really really refreshing

so we've come to Swee Kang Ais Kacang which has been around

since the late fifties and it's apparently a locals favourite and they

don't just have what we've ordered today they've got a huge sign board filled

with all the different ice or shaved ice desserts and drinks

that they offer but I've got a White Lady here and it looks really

interesting and colourful so it's all layered there's a layer of evaporated

milk and then an orange layer of I'm not quite sure what, but then there's also

some fruit in there so there's I think maybe mango, maybe pineapple

and perhaps that's a lychee floating around in there and then

there's some shaved ice, so I'm going to give it a bit of a mix-up there's also a

slice of lemon maybe to add a bit of tartness hanging around on the top so

let's just give it a mix oh I can see some jellies okay let's give

that a slurp and see what it tastes like

it's really tropical tasting

so lets oh look at this so it's got grapes, a lychee, there's some pineapple

and that's another lychee, some jelly let's give that jelly a go

like a mango jelly this is a really fun drink

I may give that fresh grape a try oh

it's really refreshing in the heat, milky, it's like a tropical milky drink, tasty

Clever Movies That Trick You With A Double Plot Twist - Duration: 5:19.

Everyone loves a great plot twist.

Whose popcorn didn't go flying when Bruce Willis realized he was already dead, or when

Luke Skywalker found out who his father was?

Still, there's one thing that shakes up a bucket of popped kernels more violently than

a plot twist — a double plot twist.

Let's see which filmmakers were brilliant enough to pull off this enormous storytelling

feat.

Also, this entire video is about plot twists, so, yeah…major spoilers ahead.

The Prestige

Christopher Nolan is the dark wizard of double plot twists.

Take The Prestige, his thriller about two popular stage magicians, Alfred Borden and

Robert Angier.

Their vicious rivalry intensifies when Borden unveils "The Transported Man," a trick where

he seemingly teleports himself between two wardrobes.

Twist Number One is the reveal of Borden's secret: "Alfred Borden" is actually two twin

brothers who are so dedicated to their magic trick that they pretend to be the same person

at different times.

But Twist Number Two is even crazier.

Angier cranks the Transporting Man trick up to the next level — by creating clones of

himself.

Every night, a clone drowns himself, and the new clone bows on stage.

So yeah, the dude offs himself every single night just to pull off a magic trick.

That's dedication.

Gone Girl

Based on the best-selling Gillian Flynn novel, Gone Girl is one of those films where anytime

you think you know what's happening, the narrative flips, cartwheels, and back-handsprings in

a different direction.

Up until about halfway through, the movie is about Nick, the main suspect in the disappearance

of his wife, Amy, as the police and media close in on him.

The film then reveals that Amy, the "gone girl" herself, is alive.

Nick is just a gullible sucker, while Amy is a cold-blooded sociopath.

"To fake a convincing murder you have to have discipline."

When Amy decides to return to Nick, he's less-than-enthused to stay with her, and wants to publicly reveal

her true colors to the world.

But Amy stunts him with another surprise — she's pregnant, having artificially inseminated

herself.

So even though Amy framed him and nearly got him executed, Nick stays with her.

The end.

This fake happy ending is incredibly frustrating — and that's the dark brilliance of it.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Not every movie with a double-twist has to be dark and disturbing.

Spider-Man: Homecoming might be a bright, colorful superhero movie, but it still has

some fantastic twists hidden up its webbed sleeve.

Throughout the film, Peter Parker's two lives seem completely separate.

While Peter manages his adolescent social anxieties, Spider-Man tries to take down a

high-tech supervillain, the Vulture.

In his teenage life, Peter is elated when his longtime crush, Liz, agrees to be his

Homecoming date.

But when her father greets Peter at her house...

Boom — Liz's dad is the Vulture.

And the entire audience gasps.

"Business is good."

The film's second major twist happens when Tony Stark finally offers Peter what he's

always wanted: official Avengers membership.

Against all expectations, Peter turns it down, electing to remain a small-time, "friendly

neighborhood" hero instead.

Memento

Now we're back to the dark and disturbing stories — once again thanks to Christopher

Nolan.

Memento is a movie told backward, from the last scene to the first, about an amnesiac,

Leonard, who loses his memory every few minutes.

"I'm chasing this guy.

No… he's chasing me."

Leonard is tracking down a mystery man named "John G.," who's responsible for the loss

of Leonard's wife.

Along the way, Leonard takes copious notes that help him stay on track whenever he loses

his memory.

His main associate is Teddy, whose photo is captioned "Don't believe his lies."

Since the movie's first scene shows Leonard shooting Teddy, it seems like Teddy is John

G.

But at the end of the film — or in reality, the "beginning," — Teddy tells Leonard that

his wife survived John G.'s attack.

Leonard is the one who's guilty.

His amnesia caused him to dose her up on too much insulin.

Teddy then explains that even though Leonard already found the real John G., he keeps getting

rid of men named John.

Furious and desperate, Leonard gets revenge by leaving himself a note saying that Teddy

is the guilty one — which means that when he shoots Teddy, it's not an accident.

Leonard consciously tricked his own amnesia to ensure he'd get rid of Teddy — and not

have to face the truth.

Arrival

At the center of the 2016 sci-fi drama Arrival is Amy Adams' character, Louise: an expert

linguist who works alongside a mathematician, Ian, to decode alien language.

Louise seems haunted by past traumas, as flashbacks show that she's a divorcée who lost her daughter

to an incurable illness.

Louise slowly translates the alien language, but progress halts when, upon being asked

why they came to Earth, the aliens respond with either the words "offer tool" or "offer

weapon."

This presumed threat sets the world ablaze, and Louise boards the alien ship in a last-ditch

effort to save the planet.

She finds out that the "tool" the aliens are offering is their language, which will release

human beings from linear time.

The aliens are giving this gift so humans can come to their aid in 3,000 years.

Louise saves the world, at which point Arrival peels back its final twist:

All those flashbacks to Louise's daughter are actually flash-forwards, premonitions

of events that will occur in the future.

Since she learned the alien language, Louise no longer experiences time in a linear fashion.

Therefore, it means she chooses to begin a relationship with Ian even though she knows

they will lose their daughter and that he will divorce her.

It's an ending both tragic and hopeful, and one of the best double-twists ever.
