are taken every single day.

Want yours to stand out from the bunch?

Then watch this.

- A selfie is a selfie

and therefore by definition

it can't be taken by any one else,

so if you're gonna take a selfie,

you've got to do it yourself

and not like this.

- Next, determine the mood

and where your selfie will end up.

A Facebook selfie, for example,

may have a completely different feel

to one that you put on Instagram,

so be wary of going multi-platform

without thinking about it.

- And if it's on SnapChat,

you might want to add in that puppy nose

and ears and stuff, possibly.

So, for example, moody.

Fun.

And art house.

- And finally, backdrop.

Make sure you carefully consider

what is in the background of your selfie

as that will form an integral part

of the photograph,

that is of course unless you are going

full screen close up like so.

- Pro tip, always check for boogers or bogies

in a reflective surface

especially if you're going really close up.

There are numerous techniques to employ

but the classic, quick, go-to method

especially for cyclists

that are on the move and want to capture themselves

and the stunning backdrop is the extended arm elbow lock.

- Yeah, the elbow lock technique

gives you much more stability with your phone

and a wider coverage to your photo.

It's very popular amongst cyclists

because generally they perform some of the time

all of the time.

let's now move onto types of selfie.

The off center.

Subject is left or right of center

with the dual focus being you and a great view.

The riding selfie.

- Not a method that we can really endorse here at GCN

due to the safety aspect

but we do accept that it does exist.

You with a cycling celebrity or other type of celebrity.

Delete as applicable.

The photo bomb.

These work two ways.

Either you are bombed by someone else in your photo,

or you selfied your way into somebody else's gig.

The double.

You and someone else

but not a celebrity.

The fail selfie.

As the title suggests,

this is when a selfie goes horribly wrong,

eyes closed, someone in the background

taking a call of nature, you get the picture.

Why Should I Apologize? - Duration: 5:48.

It's what I learned Wednesday and today I'll be talking about the redemptive

qualities of apologizing and the uplifting power of forgiveness a

collaborative gathering place especially for women to share personal stories

support and advice wisdom included

an apology is an important ritual a way of

showing respect and empathy for the wronged person that can disarm anger and

prevent further misunderstandings compassionate caring people understand

the value of an apology even though governmental leaders may not

many years ago I worked for an airline where I was responsible for the boarding

process for several flights each day one day the flight I was working was held on

a gate delay there were two empty seats so I knew we might get two more

passengers before we were cleared to go two passengers did show up just as we

were ready to close the door and they quickly boarded after the flight left

the gate I found out from my supervisor that those two passengers boarded the

wrong flight because I failed to ask their destination

I believe the gate agent should not have sent them down the jet way to board the

wrong flight I felt the passengers should have asked

if this was the right plane before boarding I wanted to shun their

responsibility and point the blame to somebody else I began to argue with my

supervisor then knowing I was at least partly to blame

it seemed pointless to argue the matter and blushing with shame I apologized my

supervisor immediately forgave the incident and we worked together to fix

the problem this is what I learned that day getting blame out of the way by

apologizing means we can move forward and work on the solution together not

only that but most people are eager to forgive if we acknowledge our mistake

learn from it and demonstrate better choices in the future according to the

Harvard negotiation project when we are responsible for hurting someone

we might get angry at the person we harmed avoid the situation or try to

rationalize our behavior rather than apologizing for it however when we

apologize and openly acknowledge regret for the incident we

can move forward offering a form of compensation or trying to fix the

problem signals that we are remorseful fully accepting responsibility for one's

actions expedites the forgiveness process knowing this do we easily

forgive the person who wrongs us what if they don't apologize or what if the

person I'm angry with is myself forgiveness is the act of

compassionately releasing the desire to punish someone or yourself for an

offense we can take solace in the idea of karma that sooner or later what goes

around comes around and that the best revenge is success happiness and the

triumph of not giving vindictive people any dominion over our peace of mind

forgiveness is a solution for transforming anger it liberates us from

the trap of endless revenge so we can experience more joy and connection

forgiveness liberates us from negativity and allows us to move forward how does

the simple act of forgiveness do all of this scientists using specialized

biofeedback equipment studied the brainwaves of tens of thousands of

people and learned how to increase our alpha wave production alpha waves are

associated with high creativity compassion insight forgiveness and love

the people behind the program discovered that the single biggest factor

suppressing alpha waves is holding on to grudges and anger when we increase alpha

waves we reduce depression and anxiety and enter a relaxed mental state that

allows us to be more creative insightful and happy we can accomplish

this through practicing forgiveness with these three steps step number one set

the scene close your eyes for two minutes

bring back all the anger frustration and pain you felt when someone in your life

wronged you feel yourself in that moment and picture the environment step 2 feel

the anger and pain see the offending person and allow your

emotions to surface as you relive the anger and pain step 3

forgive into love see that same person in front of you but instead feel

compassion for them ask yourself what did I learn from this

how did this situation make my life better or help me grow next think about

what pain or anguish they may have gone through that made them do what they did

it is said that hurt people hurt people meaning those who hurt others are doing

it because at some level they were hurt too

forgiveness does not mean you need to let that person back into your life

protect yourself when necessary but do let go of the pain of what happened you

don't have to ask the other person to forgive you just forgive them which is

completely within your control offering apologies and granting

forgiveness are not just social niceties they are necessary components of a life

filled with peace contentment and the ability to move forward leave a comment

It's a review on the working process, so it's not on the product itself

Here, the team meets and discusses

how the working process was during the last sprint

First of all, we determine what's the general mood

sometimes it's high, sometimes it's low

and...often we have a predominant mood

maybe everyone is happy beside one single member who says

"no, I'm sad...

...everything's going bad". Or the other way around

where everyone is demotivated but there's someone saying:

"well, it's not that bad" someone who looks on the bright side.

And of course, a conversation sprouts from there...

...a comparison of different impressions

that gets more and more detailed.

I divide a whiteboard in five different sections

and I label one section as "ok",

another I label as "things to improve",

another as "things to do less",

"things to start doing" and "things that don't need any more work".

Then I ask to each bystander

to write a series of post-it notes

and attach them on the whiteboard.

In this array we place a lot of ideas

everyone has its own, and when everybody attached them

we try and group them to see if there are any shared or dominant views

and from these we gather suggestions to improve our work.

We discuss what needs to be done and then, in the following sprint

we discuss whether the decision bore the benefits we were expecting or not.

How Do Formula E Cars Reduce Overheating? - Duration: 1:14.

Managing the temperatures of the critical components of

any electric vehicle is an important task, but when they're

being pushed to the limits in Formula E, it becomes even

more of a performance-limiting challenge.

The main way to stop temperatures spiralling out of control

is by using the high-speed airflow passing over the car

out on track. As the air rushes into the car's side pods,

it is fed through coolant-filled radiators connected via a system

of pipework to the powertrain's main heat-generating components,

like the motor, the power inverter, the electronics, and of course

the huge lithium-ion battery sat right behind the driver.

Small, electric pumps keep the system circulating, powered by

their own auxiliary battery, taking the hot fluid from the affected areas

and sending it through the radiators to be cooled by the airflow

in a continuous cycle. If temperatures get too high or too low,

the system can reduce performance or even shut down,

so keeping everything within the optimum limits is as crucial

to a fast car as the way it is driven, or its mechanical setup.

It is full of people of all nationalities,

and there are spectacular views.

Have a look.

Of course I'm having an amazing unlucky in Brazil.

I have no pictures, because I spoil the battery, perhaps because it has been wet for several days, or directly because no luck with me.

But I hopped on a helicopter and had some amazing images of the Christ of Corcovado,

it seems that time is starting to improve, and so hopefully I will be able to take you from Copacabana Beach,

the other day did a good atmosphere and was packed with people, with a party and incredible images,

but did not have my camera and I could not record.

so if you're gonna take a selfie,

Why Should I Apologize? - Duration: 5:48.

It's what I learned Wednesday and today I'll be talking about the redemptive

qualities of apologizing and the uplifting power of forgiveness a

collaborative gathering place especially for women to share personal stories

support and advice wisdom included

an apology is an important ritual a way of

showing respect and empathy for the wronged person that can disarm anger and

prevent further misunderstandings compassionate caring people understand

the value of an apology even though governmental leaders may not

many years ago I worked for an airline where I was responsible for the boarding

process for several flights each day one day the flight I was working was held on

a gate delay there were two empty seats so I knew we might get two more

passengers before we were cleared to go two passengers did show up just as we

were ready to close the door and they quickly boarded after the flight left

the gate I found out from my supervisor that those two passengers boarded the

wrong flight because I failed to ask their destination

I believe the gate agent should not have sent them down the jet way to board the

wrong flight I felt the passengers should have asked

if this was the right plane before boarding I wanted to shun their

responsibility and point the blame to somebody else I began to argue with my

supervisor then knowing I was at least partly to blame

it seemed pointless to argue the matter and blushing with shame I apologized my

supervisor immediately forgave the incident and we worked together to fix

the problem this is what I learned that day getting blame out of the way by

apologizing means we can move forward and work on the solution together not

only that but most people are eager to forgive if we acknowledge our mistake

learn from it and demonstrate better choices in the future according to the

Harvard negotiation project when we are responsible for hurting someone

we might get angry at the person we harmed avoid the situation or try to

rationalize our behavior rather than apologizing for it however when we

apologize and openly acknowledge regret for the incident we

can move forward offering a form of compensation or trying to fix the

problem signals that we are remorseful fully accepting responsibility for one's

actions expedites the forgiveness process knowing this do we easily

forgive the person who wrongs us what if they don't apologize or what if the

person I'm angry with is myself forgiveness is the act of

compassionately releasing the desire to punish someone or yourself for an

offense we can take solace in the idea of karma that sooner or later what goes

around comes around and that the best revenge is success happiness and the

triumph of not giving vindictive people any dominion over our peace of mind

forgiveness is a solution for transforming anger it liberates us from

the trap of endless revenge so we can experience more joy and connection

forgiveness liberates us from negativity and allows us to move forward how does

the simple act of forgiveness do all of this scientists using specialized

biofeedback equipment studied the brainwaves of tens of thousands of

people and learned how to increase our alpha wave production alpha waves are

associated with high creativity compassion insight forgiveness and love

the people behind the program discovered that the single biggest factor

suppressing alpha waves is holding on to grudges and anger when we increase alpha

waves we reduce depression and anxiety and enter a relaxed mental state that

allows us to be more creative insightful and happy we can accomplish

this through practicing forgiveness with these three steps step number one set

the scene close your eyes for two minutes

bring back all the anger frustration and pain you felt when someone in your life

wronged you feel yourself in that moment and picture the environment step 2 feel

the anger and pain see the offending person and allow your

emotions to surface as you relive the anger and pain step 3

forgive into love see that same person in front of you but instead feel

compassion for them ask yourself what did I learn from this

how did this situation make my life better or help me grow next think about

what pain or anguish they may have gone through that made them do what they did

it is said that hurt people hurt people meaning those who hurt others are doing

it because at some level they were hurt too

forgiveness does not mean you need to let that person back into your life

protect yourself when necessary but do let go of the pain of what happened you

don't have to ask the other person to forgive you just forgive them which is

completely within your control offering apologies and granting

forgiveness are not just social niceties they are necessary components of a life

filled with peace contentment and the ability to move forward leave a comment

Trump's VERY Bad Night: Donald-Loving Politicians Got Hammered In Elections - Duration: 4:34.

On Tuesday evening, Americans were basically greeted to a really resounding rejection of

Donald Trump and everything he stands for as election results across the country began

rolling in, showing the Democrats made virtually a clean sweep in elections from Maine to California.

One of the most closely watched elections that took place on Tuesday was the race for

Virginia Governor between Democrat Ralph Northam and Republican Ed Gillespie.

Gillespie had been personally endorsed by Donald Trump and Donald Trump, Jr., Steve

Bannon, all three of those guys have been tweeting virtually nonstop over the last few

weeks, singing the praises of Gillespie.

Gillespie decided to run an incredibly racist campaign, vilifying everyone that wasn't white,

embracing Donald Trump's racism, and he was soundly rejected by voters in Virginia, quite

similar to how Luther Strange, who was in a runoff against Roy Moore in Alabama a month

or so ago, endorsed by Donald Trump, rejected by voters in that state.

It kind of seems like at this point voters are not only rejecting certain candidates,

but rejecting Donald Trump himself.

Not all of the elections on Tuesday were rebukes to Donald Trump, but there were some very

impressive Democratic victories that took place.

For example, a politician who had ridiculed the Women's March in Washington, D.C. that

took place earlier this year, was defeated by a woman who ran because she was pissed

off about him ridiculing the Women's March.

The author of the transgender bathroom bill, saying you have to go to whatever bathroom

corresponds to your genitalia, was defeated by a trans woman.

A lot of really great victories, turning state houses across the country into a more representative

sample of what the United States actually is, but let's not lose sight of the bigger

picture here.

Yes, Tuesday's elections were a rebuke to Donald Trump and everything that the Republican

Party stands for.

Right now, Donald Trump's endorsement, if you're running for office, is more like a

kiss of death, because most of the people that he embraces, most of the people that

he supports, end up getting rejected by the American voters.

The only question is, can this momentum, can this anger towards the President, continue

until the 2018 midterms?

Signs right now are clearly pointing to yes.

The Democrats are energized and, while they may not be 100 percent united, they're still

far more united in their mission than Republicans are, which is going to give them an edge over

the next 12 months as we approach the midterms.

Again, and this is something Donald Trump doesn't understand because he's not a career

politician and he's also not an intelligent human being, when you are wildly unpopular,

as Donald Trump is, least popular President at this point in his presidency in history,

you don't go campaign for people.

You are seen as toxic.

You are a cancer on the party.

When you endorse someone, you're putting your stink, your disease, onto them as well.

Did you ever wonder we didn't see too much of George W. Bush in the 2008 election, why

he wasn't showing up at all these rallies and outwardly endorsing John McCain?

It was because he knew he was unpopular.

McCain's campaign said, thanks but no thanks, they don't want the stink of eight years of

Bush rubbing off on McCain.

Trump doesn't get that.

He doesn't understand it because he hasn't been paying attention to politics long enough.

As long as he continues to go out there and basically rub elbows with these wannabe Republican

politicians, they will continue to keep losing.

By all means, Donald and Donald, Jr., go ahead and start tweeting out your support for Republicans

for the 2018 midterms, because I'm sure everybody's just dying to get your

seal of approval.

The oceans are so big surely climate change won't affect them, right? - Duration: 8:00.

- Climate change matters to life on land,

but the oceans, they're so big.

They'll be fine, right?

(buzzing) (dinging)

When we talk about climate change,

we don't usually talk about the oceans.

Instead one of the first things we hear about

is global temperature.

That's air temperature up here where we live.

Air temperature is measured every day

by thousands of weather stations round the whole world.

Using thermometers about two meters,

or just over six feet off the ground.

When we stitch together all of those records

we get global average temperature.

The most commonly used measure

of how fast our planet is warming.

Air temperature is such a common measure of climate change

that when all the countries in the world got together

in December 2015 to hammer out the Paris Agreement,

they decided to use global temperature

to define it's targets.

The nations that signed the Paris Agreement

agreed to hold the increase in global average temperature

to well below two degrees Celsius,

that's about three and a half degrees Fahrenheit,

above pre-industrial levels.

But is global air temperature really the best measure

of how fast our planet is warming?

Many scientists would say, "No!"

Ever since the industrial revolution

carbon dioxide has been building up in the atmosphere.

It's a direct result

of using coal, oil, and natural gas for our energy.

Carbon dioxide and other gases like it

are wrapping an extra blanket around the planet,

trapping heat inside the climate system

that would otherwise radiate out to space.

Where is this heat going?

Over 90% of it hasn't been going into the atmosphere

where it can be measured by weather stations.

No, it's been going into the ocean.

And the world's oceans are warming

at much faster rates than previously thought.

Both at the surface and at depth.

How much hotter have they gotten?

As one article recently put it, ocean heat accumulation

is the equivalent of one, two, three, four,

five Hiroshima bombs

exploding every second since 1990.

Why do we care about a warmer ocean?

These record breaking ocean temperatures

we've seen in recent years

have been fueling stronger hurricanes.

They've been altering our weather pattens

and they have been profoundly affecting marine ecosystems.

Record warm ocean temperatures in 2016

exacerbated by a strong El Nino,

devastated the Great Barrier Reef.

Heat stress damaged the algae living in the coral,

resulting in bleaching.

Bleached coral can bounce back

but it takes years and most of it is lost forever.

After the 2016 event,

Australian scientists went to assess the damage.

They estimated that two thirds of the whole northern part

of the Great Barrier Reef is now dead.

You can understand why one scientist called it

the saddest research trip of his life.

Even if the world meets that two degree target

set by the Paris Agreement,

only a fraction of the world's coral reefs

that hold an amazing 25% of ocean species

are forecast to survive by the end of the century.

And it isn't just about the coral.

Around the world warmer temperatures

have been linked to increased risk of disease

in a whole range of fish, shellfish,

and even marine mammals like seals and dolphins.

Marine species are on the move too.

Trying to change where they live

to keep up with warming temperatures.

The tiny organisms that form the base of the food chain

are clocking in the fastest changes,

a poleward shift of 100 kilometers

or over 60 miles per decade for zooplankton

and over 400 kilometers,

that's 250 miles per decade for phytoplankton.

The US National Climate assessment concludes

that these changes will alter the distribution

and the abundance and the productivity

of many marine species.

This is a concern, not just for natural systems,

but for us as well,

because according to the United Nations

about a billion people around the world depend on fish

for their primary source of protein.

Most of these people live in poor developing countries.

If the marine food web falls apart, so does theirs too.

And the phytoplankton we were just talking about,

they also produce about half of the oxygen that we breathe!

And not just us,

most living organisms need oxygen to survive,

and it turns out that warmer water holds less oxygen.

So the warmer the ocean

the lower the amount of dissolved oxygen in the ocean.

It's estimated that for each degree Celsius,

or 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit that the world warms,

oxygen levels in the ocean will go down by 2%.

Now for some parts of the ocean it isn't really a big deal.

But where it really matters are the oxygen minimum zones

that lie off the coasts, just under

many of the most productive fishing areas in the world.

As climate changes these oxygen minimum zones

are expanding sideways and upwards.

This is shrinking valuable habitat for fish

effecting commercial fisheries and the local economy.

Recent die offs during temporary low oxygen events

off the coast of Oregon and the Gulf of Mexico

show how sensitive fish and shellfish can be

to oxygen levels.

And the number of dead zones around the world,

so called because most organisms can't live there

because there isn't enough oxygen,

they've been doubling each decade since the 1960s

due to both pollution and warming.

All of this sounds bad enough,

but there's one more big problem

to complete the trifecta of devastating ways

that climate change affects the world's oceans.

We know the ocean is taking up

more than 90% of the extra heat in the climate system,

but did you know the ocean is also taking up

about a quarter of all the carbon we produce

from burning fossil fuels every year?

Since the dawn of the industrial revolution

oceans have absorbed 550 billion tons of carbon dioxide.

That's the amount of carbon that would be stored

in about 150 billion trees.

Once carbon dioxide dissolves into the ocean

it turns into carbonic acid.

This lowers the pH level of the ocean making it more acidic.

That's why this problem is known as Ocean Acidification.

Why do we care?

Because a more acidic ocean

makes it more difficult for phytoplankton,

those same phytoplankton we talked about earlier

that make up the base of the food chain

and produce half the oxygen we breathe,

and makes it harder for them to form their shells

and for coral to form their skeletons too.

Acidification reduces the amount

of calcium carbonate in the water.

That's the mineral

that's one of the key building blocks for shells and reefs.

Sea creatures that do grow shells can even see them dissolve

if conditions are acidic enough.

And today the ocean is 30% more acidic

than it was 200 years ago.

We don't live in the ocean,

but we care about it all the same.

Whether it's the stunning beauty of dolphins leaping

or sea life in coral reefs swaying in the tide,

or whether it's acknowledging

the irreplaceable and fundamental services

that the ocean provides

to maintain human life on this planet,

the potential consequences of climate change

for the ocean are enormous.

Ocean heat content, oxygen levels and acidification,

these all join global air temperature

as indicators that are vital

to track the health of our planet

and the impact that human activities are having

on one of our most important resource.

Did Poor Layout Help Close Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World? - Duration: 6:29.

Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World was a six acre man-made island in Downtown Disney

that featured a number of nightclubs where guests looking to keep their vacation going

could drink, dance and celebrate new years eve every evening.

After almost 20 years the island finally closed its doors.

Was poor planning on Disney's part the reason why?

That's kind of a vague question so let me specify.

Did the poor planning around the layout of Downtown Disney and it's expansion ultimately

result in the closure of Pleasure Island?

As far as Disney's official stance, we'll probably never know but otherwise it seems

that it played a part.

In order to dig into why, we first need to look at the history of Pleasure Island.

Back in the mid 1980s when Michael Eisner took over as Disney's new CEO, he became

very concerned with trying to keep guests on Disney property.

There was a lot of money involved in a Walt Disney World vacation and he felt that there

was no reason why that money shouldn't go into Disney's pocket instead of middlemen

outside of the company.

He pushed for building more owned and operated resorts on Disney property so that guests

would stay at their hotels over outside chains.

He expanded the resort from two theme parks to four in order to give people a reason to

stay longer.

All of that was great, but one problem was that at the end of the day when the parks

closed, there wasn't much left to do.

Adult guests would head to downtown Orlando for its nightlife scene, which was growing

with the popularity of places like Church Street Station.

So Disney, too, decided it was time to get into the nightlife game.

They dug out a canal through a piece of Downtown Disney, which at the time was called Walt

Disney World Village, and built six night clubs on the man-made island.

They ranged from techno clubs to comedy clubs to the cult favorite, The Adventurers Club.

Borrowing the name from Pinocchio and given its own original backstory, the island was

dubbed Pleasure Island.

After going over budget more than three times its original estimate of thirty million dollars

and after being delayed for over a year, Pleasure Island opened on May 1st, 1989, the same day

as Disney-MGM Studios.

As part of the opening Walt Disney World Village was rebranded as the Disney Village Marketplace.

When it first opened, the business model for the island was such that guests were able

to freely come and go on the island itself, but the clubs themselves had a cover fee.

This model resulted in long lines outside of the clubs and confusion from guests who

didn't know where they could or couldn't go.

So as a result, the following year in 1990 they switched over to a gated island model.

At 7pm, guests would have to pay a flat $10 fee to enter the island, which would grant

them access to all six clubs.

This not only helped with crowds and lines, but also encouraged guests to explore the

different clubs throughout the night.

It also allowed Disney to offer outside entertainment.

Disney felt they needed a hook to re-launch the island and clear up the confusion of the

initial year.

One idea was to have the island celebrate New Years Eve every night of the year, complete

with party favors, outdoor music, a countdown, and fireworks.

It was a bit confusing as first, but it ultimately worked, and Pleasure Island became a popular

nightlife spot for both Disney guests and Orlando locals.

Things were great!

Then, in 1997 the area would see a significant change that may very well have been the beginning

of the downfall of Pleasure Island.

The Disney Village Marketplace was once again rebranded.

The original area was still considered the marketplace and Pleasure Island was still

Pleasure Island.

However in addition to the two areas, a new section to the west of Pleasure Island opened

under the name of the West Side, featuring Disney Quest along with a few new restaurants

and venues.

Together, all three areas were collectively now known as Downtown Disney.

Here's where the problem comes in.

The way Downtown Disney was laid out, the easiest way to get from the Marketplace to

the West Side was through Pleasure Island, and after 7pm that island was closed off.

For guests who didn't want to pay to get on to Pleasure Island, they had to go back

to the Downtown Disney parking lot area to go around the island.

It wasn't the end of the world, but it wasn't convenient either.

A number of years later in 2004 Disney would once again revert Pleasure Island back to

its original setup.

Guests would be once again be able to wander on and off the island for free, while paying

for access separately for the clubs.

While this did solve the traffic flow problems of Downtown Disney, it also meant the eventual

retiring of some of the outdoor activities on the island.

By the next year Disney would discontinue the nightly New Years Eve celebrations.

Bit by bit Pleasure Island was losing part of the charm that made it stand out to guests

looking for a good time.

Eventually it was announced that in September of 2008 Pleasure Island would close in order

to be replaced by various shopping and dining spots.

It was going to be rebranded and rethemed to an area called Hyperion Wharf, but after

constant delays the project went nowhere, until a few years later when Disney would

unveil their plans for a complete transformation of Downtown Disney into Disney Springs.

So was the placement of the West End the reason why Pleasure Island closed?

Well, I don't think so.

I think it played a significant part as the changes to the island to deal with the flow

of guests ultimately lead to Pleasure Island losing parts of what made it special.

That said, there's usually more than one reason behind a change that significant.

For one, it's argued that the clubs began to show their age.

Disney is not particularly known for staying on the cutting edge of popular trends.

There's also the fact that Disney Parks were staying open later over time, and the

resort was growing and offering more to do in the evenings, giving guests more options

outside of Pleasure Island to keep busy.

Again, with something like this, there will probably never be an official answer, but

the changes and eventual fate of Pleasure Island serve as a good example of just how

important something as seemingly simple as layout can be to the life of an attraction

or land at Walt Disney World.

Representative Chris Collins, a Republican in the US House of Representatives accidentally

let a little nugget of truth out recently while talking about the Republican tax reforms

scam.

Chris Collins accidentally told a reporter how enraged his donors are over the fact that

they have not yet passed this tax reform package.

Collins said that, "My donors told me either pass this thing or don't ever call me again."

Collins actually seemed a little concerned about that.

He needs their money to continue running for office as do most of Republicans in Washington

DC.

That statement, that admission from Collins shows exactly why Republicans are trying to

pass this tax reform package in the first place.

It has nothing to do with economic growth as Paul Ryan likes to tell us.

It has nothing to do with helping the American middle class or the under class.

Has nothing to do with creating jobs, which is another thing that they tell us all the

time.

No, Collins just admitted, they are doing this because it's what their wealthy donors

want them to do, and if they don't get it passed, if they don't screw over the middle-class

and the under-class then those checkbooks, the checks, the money coming from the wealthy

donors.

That's all gonna dry up.

These people won't have a nickel left to run for reelection in 2018.

That is why these morons are desperately trying to get this tax reform package passed before

Christmas time.

We've known for a long time.

It doesn't take a real political genius to figure out why Republicans do the things that

they do.

They do it because they want to appease their donors.

They do it because they want another check sent to them.

They do it because they want to run for office again.

They don't care how many people they screw over in the path to the endless campaign money,

they'll just keep doing it.

Collins' admission here is the closest thing to the truth that we are ever gonna get from

the Republicans about why they do what they do, because it's one thing for analysts and

pundits to go out there and say that we pretty much know it, it's another for a Republican

to come out and admit it and confirm what all of us have been saying

for years.

Hi everyone I hope you're doing well, so today I made

a look using the lila palette from Natasha Denona

This look is actually very simple even if it looks difficult

So I hope you'll enjoy it!

The palette contains 15 shadows for $129

So I start by applying

Cool mood crayon from LH Cosmetics

and for my bases I use Daring mode crayon

from LH Cosmetics too. So I start with

the lower lash line and smudge it

and I do the outer corner of my lid

in an oblique way and I do my crease

a little bit too only on the outer part

I smudge everything before applying the shadows

I apply Magnetic on my lower lash line

with a flat brush, and then I blend

with 230 brush from Zoeva

I apply Amethyst on top of my bases

I blend my crease with Per Se shade

231 brush from Zoeva

I apply Juneau with my fingers on my lids

I add a bit on the winner corner as well

I use Shape Tape concealer from Tarte

with a little eyeliner brush to do

the cut crease effect

I take Lazuli liner from

Lime Crime I dont know if it's sold anymore

and I use it to do my eyeliner

I always start by the center of my eye on the lash line

and stretch to the outer corner and then I go

little by little to the inner corner

and for the tail I start from the outer corner of my eye

from the end of my brow directed to

the top of my ear

and thicken it a bit

I apply mascara on my top and bottom lashes

and then apply my lashes

So I use Siren Mini from HOL

if you don't do black eyeliner use some lashes
