Pink skull | Airbrush Makeup | AMBER MANCHA - Duration: 7:03.Feeling myself and a pink skull mmm
You what is up guys and welcome back to my channel if you're new here
My name is Amber. Matcha
And if you're into all things beating and baby
Make sure that you hit that subscribe button and that notification bell so that you don't miss anything today
We're doing a pink skull with a lot of shading going on like just a lot
Um, I didn't wanna I don't know. I've been feeling skulls and you guys really really liked my blue one
So I was like well, let's do a pink one and this is what I came up with
So I hope you guys enjoy and if you want to see how I achieve this look then just keep on watching
Okay, so to start off this look I put some tape on the outer corner of my eye and then I'm working on the outer
Corner the crease and I'm bringing that all the way down into the bridge of mine my nose
Wow, I can't talk and we're going draw
Maddox, so I'm using the modern renaissance palette from Anastasia
I start by going in with the shade love-letter
which is a really pretty pink and then I follow it up by using a little bit of red ochre and
Venetian red to deepen up the outsides and then I'm going to take
concealer and I'm going to carve out the inside only to the middle because I
wanted the outside to have some depth to it and then to go over and set everything so that nothing moves and I have a
Little bit of like shine in there. I'm going to use the shade of Vermeer
I'm also gonna use that in the brow bone to give my brow a nice highlight, and I've used a magenta water-activated
Body paint from mehron to fill in my brows and then I'm gonna take a little bit of black from a different palette
I forgot what palette this was from but you can use any black eyeshadow that you want and I'm just following that line on the
Outside just to give it some depth and a real sharp. Look
Now I'm gonna take a black kohl liner and I'm gonna put that into the waterline
I believe this one is from Lord and berry and
I've popped on some lashes and then I'm gonna use the same shadows on the bottom that I did on the top
so I'm using love-letter first followed by red ochre and Venetian red as
and then I'm going to put some mascara on the lower lashes to make sure that this eye is all set and
Put together and then we're going to go in with our airbrush paints if you guys want an in-depth airbrush
Tutorial like how to use it how to clean it
Everything go ahead and let me know in the comment box down below if you don't care then
Cool - I use the dinair airbrush system and the airbrush
It's my favorite and the airbrush paints that I use are from custom body paint and I got them on Amazon. So
I'm using a white right here just to outline everything
I did go in with a nude eyeliner pencil and just kind of have a rough sketch of where I wanted my
skeleton to go or in my skull face
After I did get the rough sketch all taken care of
I did put some white paint in those areas because I wanted to make sure that my Pink's really popped and then I'm gonna take
a pink
airbrush paint and I'm gonna go inside of these areas and I'm going to make sure that I get some shading in there to
Closest to the edges so it looks like these areas are sunken in. I
Put the dark pink on the back because that's I want it to be really dark and I want it to seem sunken in so
I'm making sure that my pink is really really opaque the neck
I do cover with a lot of black that was a decision that came later
But I am following all the white outlines on the neck as well as I did on the face
Now I'm gonna go ahead and sketch my teeth in there with some water activated body paint
and I'm going to extend the corners of my mouth and then I leave my mouth open just a little bit so I can actually
See where my natural teeth are and this gives me a better skull shape on my face
After I sketch them out
I like to bring them to points like little triangles in between because that's how they sit in the root and
Into the gum of your mouth and then after that's complete
We're gonna go ahead and start to fill all of those in with white body paint as well
I actually really like putting the white body paint
over the airbrush paint because it makes it it mixes it together and
It starts to look really really cohesive and I just really like what it morphs into
Then I'm taking a darker pink shade and I'm going in between the teeth and in between the mouth lines and just
Shading that all in to give it a little bit more depth
to make the skull nose
I am using pink body paint, and I'm just
doing almost like a teardrop shape with two little lines up the bridge of my nose and
Then I'm going back into the modern renaissance palette and I'm using
The red ochre and I'm going in and shading in areas. So it looks like it has more definition and just a lot more depth
Now I'm taking white airbrush paint and just going back over these areas to make sure that they really pop
And I shade inside of the jaw area and then down on the chin to make sure that these white areas pop
Forward and the chin and the jaw start to recede into my face. I
Decided to take red ochre and go around all these areas on the top of my face on my temple and on the
Outsides of the sides of my face if that makes any sense and just to shade these in as well
So it looks like my forehead and my cheekbones are receding back as well. And these white areas are really just coming forward
And
Then I'm going to follow everything that we did with the red ochre shading with a black eyeshadow
Just to give it a little bit more depth and make sure that it's sunken in and has a really nice gradient to it
I'm also shading in between the teeth to make sure that they look like
they're not just painted on the face and then that will complete this entire look and
That's how I achieve this look if you guys enjoyed this video, please give it a big thumbs up
Don't forget to subscribe and share with the world so we can achieve world domination
Don't forget that you can follow me on all other social media including Twitter Instagram and musically I'm mostly on musically and Instagram

Radioddity Baofeng UV-5RX3 Tri-band Handheld - Ham Radio Q&A - Duration: 6:03.today we're gonna take a look at the Baofeng UV-5Rx3 Triband handheld radio. Stay tuned for more.
hi I'm MichaelKB9VBR your hosts for ham-radio Q&A
I'm on a mission to inspire and educate the image radio community so if this is
your first time here please hit that subscribe button
today we're at the Edgar gas and steam engine show in central Wisconsin and
when I'm at large events like this it's always good to have some radio
communications with your party so that you can split up or if you get separated
you can get reconnected but at large events sometimes can be
hard to find a clear frequency so you might want to consider using something
such as the baofeng uv5 rx-3 this is a tri-band HT it has two meters the 220
band and also seventy centimeters all in one radio and what's great about 220 is
that not a whole lot of activity on it so you're almost guaranteed to have your
own personal private frequency so let's take a little bit deeper look at the
Baofeng UV-5rx3 tri-band d HT I'm a bit of a 220 aficionado but decent 220
equipment can be hard to come by the one point two five meter band has some
unique properties blending the propagation advantages of the 2 meter
and 70 centimeter bands so 220 radios and repeater systems tend to have better
range in coverage than similar VHF and uhf systems with that said I was excited
when radiodiity approached me to take a look at their new handheld the baofeng
UV-5RX3 the UV-5RX3 is a tri-band radio with coverage on a 2 meter 70
centimeter and one point two five meter or two twenty two megahertz band by all
respects theUV-5RX3 is like any other Baofeng UV-5R series radio it has a
familiar case design although the radio oddity version adds some snazzy trim
but it has the standard list of features in
128 channels dual watch function FM broadcast radio reception CT CSS dcs
tone burst and DTMF calling frequency and channel scan 5 and 1 watts of
transmit power box and of course a tricolor display new to this radio is
the tri-band function which includes operation on the two amateur 2 meter 70
centimeter and one point two five meter bands that's great news for 220 lovers
like myself but there is a bit of caveat while the radio works on all three bands
the stock antenna will not so ready oddity includes a separate 220 antenna
in the box and you'll have to switch out the dual band antenna for the 220
antenna if you want to work on that band both of the antennas look quite similar
so you need to look at the bottom to see which band each antenna is for this is
kind of goofy so I picked up the nagoya NA-320A tri band antenna the nagoya is
a great aftermarket antenna but at 17 and a half inches long it's kind of
unwieldly for this diminutive radio what's nice about radio out of these
baofeng UV-5RX3 radio is that since it has the same form factor and case as
other Baofeng radios it's compatible with all the accessories such as the
programming cable speaker mics earpieces and high-capacity batteries that's kind
of nice because if you have multiple Baofeng radios you can use the same
charger saving space on the shelf programming a radio is pretty easy you
can download the UV-5RX3 programming application from the radio oddity site
or better yet use chirp to program the radio I went the chirp route plugging in
the radio reading the program file from the radio and then cutting and pasting
the frequency list from one of my other radios into the UV-5RX3 with a couple
of quick edits for the 220 band I was on the air in no time
and on the air controls are the same as other buffing radios the buttons are in
the same location an operation is similar to every other model that's good
news if you're used to a bough thing this radio will feel comfortable in the hand
so let's get down to the good and the bad the good is inclusion of the 1.25
222 megahertz band the 220 band needs more operators on it and this radio
makes getting on this band accessible and affordable also good is
compatibility with most other Baofeng accessories batteries and chargers
finally it's great that the radio can be programmed with chirp getting you on the
air faster now for the bad. the radio only has 128 channels this may not
matter for most people but you can sure fill up those channels fast if you live
or travel in an urban area and speaking of urban areas the radio is
more susceptible to interference as it uses direct RF sampling receive which
lacks the filtering you'll find in a more conventional superheterodyne
receiver but that's a shortcoming with all of these Chinese radios also you're
gonna need to swap antennas for the 220 band so final word on radio oddities
Baofeng UV-5RX3 s that this is an affordable radio and I'd recommend
picking one up just so you can get on the 220 band especially if you have a
220 repeater in your neighborhood as for myself I'm gonna add this to my camping
kit so I have a second radio when I travel and with that having 220 is gonna
be a bonus for me for more articles and information be sure to check out my blog
at www.jpole-antenna.com if you enjoyed this video give me a big thumbs up I really
appreciate that and also don't forget to hit that subscribe button subscribing to

ARTEZA Expert Coloured Pencil Review & Demo - Duration: 23:01.Hi guys, in this video I'll be doing an in-depth review on Arteza's Expert coloured
pencils.
Just for transparency, Arteza were kind enough to send me this set to review, but rest assured
that I'll be completely honest about the product and my opinions.
So, first off, taking a look at the packaging.
These sets come in a lovely tin with a hinged lid.
I'm always happy when products arrive in a tin, as it's an excellent way of protecting
and storing coloured pencils.
As for the information on the front- there's very little to glean other than that they're
artist quality and they boast rich and vibrant colours.
I like the modern and understated packaging design, although an inspirational artwork
to show off the possibilities of these pencils would've been more exciting than the colourful
cross-hatching on the from, in my opinion.
Turning over onto the back and we're greeted with a lot more information:
"Professional grade artist quality coloured pencils".
And that they're "break resistant and have soft and thick leads".
And that they offer "smooth colour laydown for superior blending and shading".
"Unsurpassably lightfast and acid free quality pigments".
And that they're "ideal for drawing, illustrating and colouring"
So as always, I'll evaluate the claims towards the end of the video, to see if the product
lives up to them!
So taking up the bulk of the packaging we have a swatch chart- which I seriously approve
of.
The swatches aren't incredibly representative of the colours, but it definitely gives a
good impression of the range inside It would've been nice to see the lightfastness ratings
also printed on the back here.
And the remaining information is contact information and a guarantee- which is nice to see- and
some information to show that these pencils conform to American and European standards
regulations, as well as responsible use of wood.
So now taking a look inside.
The pencils are organised in three layers of plastic inserts.
Something that struck me straight away is how much these pencils smell compared to other
pencils I own- and personally I don't find it unpleasant- in fact I find it quite nostalgic
as it smells like the exciting art kits I received when I was small.
These pencils do conform to the American and European safety standards for art supplies
and toys so I'm not concerned about toxicity- but if you are sensitive to smells then you
may want to give this product a miss.
The smell has dissipated a little since I first opened them, but the smell is certainly
quite strong still.
-The trays are quite cheap and flimsy plastic, but they do the job.
Initially the pencils were organised in a strange way, so I went ahead and put them
in a colour order that felt more intuitive to me.
The pencils came pre-sharpened to a flat tip, but since unboxing them I've used them and
sharpened them myself- they certainly didn't arrive this sharp.
If you'd like to see my first impressions of these pencils I'll leave a link in the
cards in the top right, and the description box below.
But now taking a look at the individual pencils.
The build quality of these pencils is excellent.
These round pencils feel very solid and are covered in a thick glossy lacquer, including
an end-cap.
I've measured the pencil barrels to have a diameter of 7mm and a wonderfully large
core size of approximately 3.8mm.
Each pencil is printed with silver foil, showing the company's name, the colour name and
number, as well as the lightfastness ratings of each pencil.
Although the foil print is very smart looking, I found that because it's so reflective,
on some colours it's a little bit more difficult to read.
The colour of the barrel is meant to represent the colour in the pencil, but take this with
a big pinch of salt- end cap or barrel colour is rarely an accurate match to the pencil
colour, and that's certainly the case for the majority of pencils in this set.
Instead, I find it much more useful to look at the revealed tip of the pencil, or refer
to a swatch to choose colours.
So now taking a look at the properties of the pencils!
Starting off with the colours in the range of this set, I think there's a great selection
with lots of bright and vibrant colours, as well as some more muted and earthy tones.
On the other hand, I think there are quite a few colours that are very similar to others
ones.
As you can see on this black paper, some of the pencils are quite opaque, whilst most
are semi-transparent or semi-opaque.
If you'd like a closer look at these swatch charts, I'll leave a link to my blogpost
about these pencils in the description box down below.
Next, I'll demonstrate how well these pencils mix and blend on some different papers- here
I'm creating a little colour wheel using just three colours- which are Lemon, Fuchsia
and Peacock Blue - with the goal of creating as smooth as blend as possible just using
the pencils alone.
The three papers I have here are Arteza's Watercolour paper- which I figured would be
a common purchase along with these pencils.
On the right I have some Strathmore Toned Mixed Media paper, which has a smooth vellum
finish, but just enough tooth to layer easily with coloured pencil.
And in the middle here I have the reverse side of Canson Mi-Teintes, which has a fine
grain and is a touch coarser than the Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
The laydown of these pencils is waxy and smooth, and the pigment distributes evenly with no
grittiness or random dots of darker pigment.
The pencils glide across the paper and feel quite soft in that respect, but they are also
firm enough to sharpen to and maintain a fine point.
I found the most effective way of blending colours was to carefully layer using a very
light hand and alternating colours.
Because these pencils pigments can't be easily pushed around the paper's surface,
and most colours are semi-transparent, I had to be extra cautious with the pressure I applied
the colours with, as haphazardly placed lines of one colour couldn't be easily disguised
with the next colour.
These properties do have their positives though!
Transparency and minimal spreading means that you have a high degree of control over your
application of colour, such as creating interesting textures and depth.
The next test is to see how well the pencils erase- so here I'm using a Tombow Mono Zero
eraser and a Derwent electric eraser to compare.
The Tombow Mono offers a lot of control when erasing, but the Derwent electric eraser requires
comparatively little effort.
Both do a good job of erasing the pencil, although the pencil has stained the paper
a little- especially at the top of these gradients where the application is heavier.
The third test is to see how pigmented and opaque the white pencil in this set is.
And as you can see it's not hugely effective on Arteza's watercolour paper, but works
best on the Canson Mi-Teintes, owing to the fine and slightly abrasive texture of the
paper, which really helps to pull pigment from the pencil tip.
The white pencil also works well on the Strathmore paper- I think the fact that this paper is
toned helps too, although the vellum finish texture of this paper isn't quite as grabby
as the Canson Mi-Teintes.
Now moving on to the next round of tests- I have some roughly coloured gradients I want
to try using some different blending mediums on to see what works best with these pencils.
First up we have Zest-It Pencil Blend, which is a liquid solvent made from orange turpentines
and is designed to be used with coloured pencil.
Mineral spirits or paint thinners will offer similar results.
The pencils dissolved well with the solvents and were able to be spread around to create
even coverage.
That being said, I didn't like how they worked on Arteza's paper, as the deep and
regular linear pattern made it difficult to obtain homogenous colour in both the valleys
and on the peaks of the paper's tooth.
Next we have the Derwent Blender pen, which uses alcohol to dissolve the waxy binder of
the coloured pencils.
The blender pen works with these pencils, but isn't particularly easy to use.
It does push the colours around a bit, smoothing out the blend, but the waxy coloured pencil
seems to stick to the nib and the make it difficult to apply the alcohol.
And finally we have a blending pencil- and I'm using the Derwent blending pencil as
I've found that it's the softest of the ones I've tried.
The pencil does a great job of pushing the pigments into the valleys of the paper's
tooth and works really well with these pencils.
The last little test is to see how well these pencils layer- and will also give an idea
of the level of pigmentation, the laydown and how waxy these pencils are.
I start off by filling the whole rectangle with a layer of coloured pencil using the
lightest hand possible, then I keep layering using this pressure until I'm no longer
having an effect on the intensity of colour, when I'll then start increasing my pressure.
The amount of layers you can distinguish and achieve will vary from person to person, but
10 layers for me suggests that these pencils offer a reasonably good level of control.
I did find that the intensity of colour was weaker on the Strathmore paper, but that paper
offered better control of even coverage during the first few layers.
So as you can see, paper choice influences the techniques that you use and the results
that you can achieve
Taking a closer look at all of these test sheets again now that the solvents have fully
dried- as you can see, the finish of these pencils is highly glossy due to the high wax
content.
These pencils have a high tendency to create wax bloom- which can show up as a glossy and
uneven streakiness in the surface, or as a milky or powdery white coating on the pencil's
surface.
I don't think Arteza's watercolour paper is a good choice for coloured pencil as the
heavy, regular texture makes it very difficult to create smooth and even coverage- especially
when blending or if you want to apply thin layers of coloured pencil.
Now moving on to the demo!
I've create a quick sketch of a tiger on the reverse side of some Canson Mi-Teintes
in a light warm grey colour.
From my experiments, I found that these pencils performed the best on paler colour paper as
they aren't opaque or pigmented enough to offer bright results on the darker paper.
I also found the Mi-Teintes to perform the best out of the papers I tried.
For many of my previous coloured pencil reviews, I've used pastelmat to demonstrate the product
on- however, as these pencils are most certainly budget friendly, I decided to test them on
a paper that I'd also consider kind on the wallet.
I've started out by blocking in some of the highlights and shadows- and as the tiger
has a lot of blue in his white fur I've decided to put some light base layers of this
in as well.
As I work, I mix lots of different colours into his fur to create depth and interest
and I really focus on building up contrast.
I think I use all of the browns in this collection on his orange fur, as well as all of the peachy
colours, as well as some blues, greys and yellows too.
These pencils layer very well!
They mix nicely with the mineral spirits, and I can easily work over the top of these
blended layers to refine colours and detail.
These pencils have very quick lay-down.
At 24x24 centimetres (or 9.5x9.5 inches), this piece is quite a bit larger than what
I usually create.
However, I managed to complete this piece in only 3 hours, but the 15x15cm tiger I completed
in a video a few months back- which I'll link to in the description and the cards-
took around double this.
That being said, I do feel like some of the speed was due to the fact that I didn't
go quite as detailed in this piece as I did in the previous tiger, as most of the colours
weren't opaque enough to stand out on top of the darker layers underneath.
The laydown was also sped up because the pencils are waxier, and the paper I used here is less
abrasive than the pastelmat that I used for the previous drawing.
For that drawing I had to apply a lot more layers to achieve a smooth finish, whereas
here it took comparatively few.
This could be seen as a positive or a negative- although the process is quicker with these
waxy pencils, there is also less room for lots of layers to build up depth and subtleties
in the colour.
Something I do want to mention though is that the white was surprisingly opaque- most white
pencils are disappointing, but this one was great.
It even stood out ok over the top of lots of darker layers- and worked especially well
if I dipped the sharpened tip into a little solvents before applying it- and I did this
for some of the details and whiskers at the end of the progress of the piece.
I used a crank sharpener to get a fantastically long tip to my pencils, and they also do well
to maintain this sharp point.
This makes them an excellently versatile pencil- good for coverage and good for detailing.
It also appears that the core is glued all the way down the length of the pencil too,
as although I've tried, the wood doesn't peel or flake away from the core.
This will help prevent breakage- especially if the pencils are dropped, as then the core
shouldn't just fall out the end of the pencil.
This range comes in two different sizes- the 48 set and the 72 set.
And as for the cost of these sets, excluding any shipping costs, on Arteza's website-
excluding any shipping costs- the 48 set sells for around £15 or $27 USD , and the 72 set
for £24 GBP or $33 . Prices appear to be around the same on Amazon and on other websites-
but I always recommend checking different sites out as prices can fluctuate by a few
pounds or dollars.
Moving on to a pet-peeve of mine- I explain this in more detail in the first impressions
video, but the "original" price for these products on Arteza's website appears to
be overinflated and not representative.
As far as I know the pencils have never been sold at this hugely expensive "original"
price, so don't be fooled by the sales tactic- although these pencils *are* good value for
money at the prices I previously mentioned.
So going off the prices these sets actually sell for, the pencils work out to cost roughly
40 pence or cents each- which is very inexpensive.
Unfortunately, these pencils don't currently sell open-stock, so if you run out of your
favourite colour your only choice is to purchase the whole set again.
As for lightfastness ratings, I managed to get a definitive answer from Arteza.
The lower the amount of plusses on the pencil barrel, the more lightfast the pencil is.
This follows the ASTM-D standard rating system for lightfastness- a I or a II is acceptable
for work produced for display and should last at least 50 years under museum conditions.
In this set of 72, 31 score a 1 or a 2.
And if you're interested in seeing how the ratings of these coloured pencils compare
to other brands, I'll leave a link to a blog post in the description box down below.
Something I thought was interesting is the way the colours are named- they all have quite
poetic names which I find to be quite memorable and quite descriptive.
I think the choice of names is particularly useful for newer artists, compared to the
more complicated and overwhelming names that high-end products often have- for example
"Moss" is a bit more relatable than "chromium green oxide"
Moving on to evaluating the packaging claims.
So the tin stated that these are professional grade and artist quality.
Moreover, Arteza rank their Expert range to be artist grade, whilst their Premium products
are considered student grade.
But..
I don't entirely agree that these are professional or artist grade supplies.
I think that the pigmentation is on the low end of being professional or artist grade,
and then there's also the issue that more than half the set isn't deemed to be highly
lightfast.
I would personally consider these to be on the high end of student grade, which certainly
isn't bad given their cost.
That being said, this is purely personal opinion, and there are no real objective requirements
for something to be considered professional or artist grade.
Moving on, the packaging claims that the leads are thick- which I can certainly agree with
given that I measured them to be 3.8mm, which for a 7mm pencil is very good.
They are also relatively soft- although just a touch firmer than other artist grade pencils
that are branded soft- which for me is certainly not a bad thing as a bit of firmness helps
for fine detail.
I've found them to be very break resistant and the tips very rarely snapped as I worked.
Like most coloured pencils, they do produce some dust as you colour, so make sure to pick
that up with a kneaded eraser as to avoid smudging it onto your paper.
Looking at the the next set of claims- these pencils do indeed offer smooth colour laydown
and do work well for blending and shading too, and they are great for drawing, illustrating
and colouring like the tin says.
The final packaging claim I'd like to cover- and be a bit nit-picky about- is the claim
that these pencils are "unsurpassably lightfast".
I dislike the term as I've found it to be easily misinterpreted- by myself and others!
Although it might sound like it, this phrase doesn't mean that these pencils have the best
lightfastness ratings compared to other brands.
Instead, I believe this term technically means that Arteza don't offer a more lightfast pencil
than this- that the scores are unsurpassable or unbeatable.
And this is true on a technicality- the Premium coloured pencils that Arteza offer share the
same range of colours and the same ratings.
Anyway- "Unsurpassably lightfast" is a phrase many companies use- and perhaps I'm
in the minority who find it misleading- so I don't think I can be too critical of this
claim.
But I'd love to know what you guys think in the comment section down below!
So to summarise with some pros and cons.
Overall, I think these pencils are absolutely ideal for practice work- they are fantastic
value for money, have excellent build quality as well as great pigmentation and laydown.
And in the 72 set there is a selection of colours that are lightfast enough to create
work to display and sell too, which is impressive seeing as the sets are so affordable, and
many budget brands don't give their colours lightfastness ratings at all.
However, if you're only interested in using the lightfast colours then you'd be discarding
over half of the pencils in the collection.
I think Arteza should've made the lightfastness rating system easier to understand by providing
information on or in the tin- or at least on their website!
I was only able to find a clear answer after directly contacting the company.
What's more is that the lightfastness scale for some of their other products also uses
plusses, but the ratings go in the opposite way.. which is unnecessarily confusing!
And just some minor issues for me- I feel like some of the colours are very similar
to each other- so although the colour range is wonderful and versatile, I can't help
but feel that the range could've been even broader.
It also would've been of real benefit to see these pencils available in smaller sets,
and open stock.
And my last little complaint is the smell- which whilst it doesn't bother me, I know
it's strong enough to cause an issue for others.
So who do I recommend these pencils for?
I'd recommend this range for students and hobbyists particularly, or to any artist that
may want to try out coloured pencil without breaking the bank.
The fact that these pencils aren't available open stock also solidifies my opinion that
these pencils are an excellent "gateway" coloured pencil, as it seems natural to then
upgrade to a higher quality pencil line which does offer single pencils open stock, as repurchasing
whole sets to replace a handful of colours isn't an efficient way of maintaining a
collection.
If you're an artist with an expansive collection, I wouldn't recommend purchasing this set
purely for the lightfast colours as their pigmentation is likely outcompeted by what
you already own, although these Arteza Expert pencils are great for sketchbook studies!
So here's my finished piece, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
I can honestly say I'm impressed with the performance of these pencils and their value
for money.
I'd love to hear what you think about these pencils- whether you've tried them out or
if you're planning on buying them.

LIVING IN NEW YORK CITY: Why New Yorkers Don't Own Cars - Duration: 4:20.so here's a question why don't most New Yorkers own a car? I have a Moped, its fun I just ride a bike
I ride this!! So Sam why don't you own a car? Because I live in New York! so in this
video we are gonna find out why the majority of most New Yorkers do not own
a car let's start with the facts New York is crowded there are 27,000
people per square mile in New York City making it one of the most densely
populated cities on earth for perspective about one in every 38 people
living in the United States lives in New York with that said driving in the city
it can be stressful and you can't get any work done driving a car in a place
like New York time is money nationally 86% drive to work compared
with only 28% of New Yorkers that drives work cars are expensive to own in the
city insurance costs are through the roof are there human gas stations in
Manhattan how many gas stations are in Manhattan 50 this is one of the 50 gas
stations in Manhattan I'm not quite sure the national average price of gas
because I haven't had a car in over ten years but it's a pretty safe bet that
this is probably far more than the price that you're paying wherever you're
watching this from so now your car is all fueled up the next question where do
you park it long-term parking in the city is some of the most expensive in
the world while on the other hand that street parking is the pain in the ass
with changing rules tickets they're inevitable most likely your car will get
ruined unless your Park in your sports car on a rooftop overlooking Midtown
kidding this this isn't my car so what do you do instead it there's plenty of
ways to get around this great city that don't require you to own a car
so the first is obviously a taxi they are everywhere
but during morning rush hour even in New York City Taxi can be hard to come by
you're better off just walking about 10% of New Yorkers walk to work if you're
lucky enough to live in walking distance to your office nothing beats leaving
your apartment and hitting the pavement just because you're walking it doesn't
mean you're immune to the traffic with over 300,000 pedestrians passing through
Times Square daily you're definitely going to get up and close with a few
strangers on your commute to work hello the subway is by far the most popular
choice when it comes to getting around New York with 55% of all commuters in
the city using public transportation the New York subway system it may be old but
it's one of the most reliable in the entire world with over 840 miles of
subway tracks now in my opinion of biking is the fastest way to get around
the city but only one percent of New Yorkers commute via bike and there's a
few reasons for that low number the city isn't exactly biker friendly there are
bike lanes but they are usually more dangerous than the actual road for a bit
of a more in-depth look at why bike lanes aren't necessarily the safest go
check out KC nice tats viral video titled bike lanes I think that was made
in 2012 but so now six years later and the bike ban problem well it really
hasn't changed much another way to get around the city is by using rideshare
apps like uber lyft and a new one called Juno which in my opinion are the most
convenient and stress-free ways to get around the city you just walked out of
that Broadway show or you're in a crowded area like Times Square it can be
difficult for your driver to find you some of these apps have features where
you can have your phone light up a certain color and the driver is notified
to what color you have so you're easy to spot in a crowd the only real drawback
to rideshare apps is the price surge during rush hour the surge can sometimes
be true the actual cost of the ride living in
New York City can be challenging it can be stressful and of course expensive but
for every problem there's always a solution I hope you enjoyed the video
make sure to subscribe for more high-quality New York City content and
with that I will see you in the next one

VIKINGS IN REAL LIFE - Experience Living Like a Viking - Norway - Duration: 11:17.(horn blowing) (crow cawing)
- [Cody] They lived 1000 years ago and
were the undisputed masters of the sea, striking fear
into the hearts of everyone in the known world.
But who really were the Vikings
and what were their lives like?
My name is Cody Buffinton and I'm here to find out.
(dramatic music)
(clanging)
(clanging)
The Vikings lived between 790 and 1066 A.D.,
known as the Viking Age.
They're from Scandinavia and soon conquered lands
in France, England, Ireland, and Iceland,
but traveling as far as Asia and North America.
Using the Norwegian and Baltic Sea routes
to get around, they were curious explorers.
Since the Vikings didn't write about themselves,
everything we know about them is
from their victims and enemies.
Because of this, they gained a reputation
as bloodthirsty heathens who raided villages
killing everyone and everything, taking gold and valuables.
Now, Vikings weren't the first to have raided,
but they did it on a much larger scale
and more frequently, so they became the most known for it.
It's unclear today what their motives were exactly,
due to few writings, but some believe that the lack
of resources on their own land was a major part of it.
We also perceive them as massive brutes with horn helmets,
but they were actually short by today's standards
and use horns to drink from, not on their helmets.
And the most popular misconception is
that everyone from the North was a Viking.
The majority of Norsemen were farmers,
fishermen, and merchants.
Viking was actually more of a verb, meaning to go raiding.
But now we're gonna see what life was really like for them.
So this is the chieftain's house
and whenever they had some kind of like meeting
or they were celebrating and having a gathering here,
they all came in here, they ate around here,
which we're actually gonna be trying this stew in a second,
and then the chieftain sat right here.
It's pretty awesome.
What's up with this mead?
- Yeah, it was a divine drink, so either they thought
that when they drank too much of it they would come
in contact with the gods, but most probably they just
got drunk and thought they were
in contact with the gods. - Right, right.
- This was just for parties.
Everyday they would drink beer.
About two to three percent alcohol content.
And children would drink that, as well.
Everyone drank it. - Really, my god.
- Grownups, children. - Everyday?
- Everyday, yeah.
Sometimes say that the Vikings were everyday vegetarians
because meat was expensive, so they would
eat fish when they could get that,
which was pretty much all year round,
and they would eat vegetables,
and whatever they could find in the earth.
And meat was something that you only
ate for special occasions.
- Ah, okay.
- So you guys, your feasting today with
both the divine drink, the mead,
and a soup that actually has meat in it, lamb.
- And it tastes like really, really sweet honey.
Not even really alcohol, just like really sweet honey.
It's really good though.
Oh my god.
That is really good.
I'm dipping in sour cream.
We're feasting.
We're Vikings, man.
You can only get this on feasts.
- [Josh] Oh my god.
- It's really good, but hot.
It's a bunch of carrots, leeks, onions,
soup, lamb broth, the good stuff.
(upbeat music)
So another name for chieftain, I believe,
is called a jarl, that's kind of what it is
in the show Vikings and in Skyrim,
so I feel like this is like Jarl Stormborn's house.
At least, that's what I wanna think.
So we've been following this long dirt road
for about 10, 15 minutes down to the water,
and on our way to the Viking boat,
we stopped and saw this ax-throwing and archery outpost.
So we're gonna try this out real quick.
See if we can learn some skills.
Ooh. - Damn.
- Either I got him in the head or it
went by, whizzing past his head.
- [Josh] I think it whizzed past him.
That wasn't a direct hit yet.
- Not direct, all right, I'll try one more.
Oh.
- [Josh] Dude, that was a direct hit.
- All right, let's finish him off.
(laughing)
- [Josh] You already killed him, you're ruthless.
- He's sittin' there, no, he's sittin' there.
He's sittin' there with arrow in him.
I'm tryin' to finish him, put him out of his misery, man.
Oh!
- [Josh] Damn!
- [Cody] Right in the heart.
- Awesome. - Thank you.
- Marksmanship right there.
- Thank you.
- That was probably somewhere around the stomach.
Ooh, spleen again.
One last spleen and he's gone.
Oh, yeah, straight on. - Oh, it stuck.
- Actually, look at this part.
Look how close these three are right here.
- [Teacher] That's suspicious.
- [Cody] The weapons teacher was starting to learn my secret
so we head on over to the blacksmith.
All right, what's your name by the way?
- [Josh] Harald the Smith.
- Harald the Smith, that's right.
- Yeah.
Born under the name of Črtomir, but that was too
hard for the Norwegians, so. - Črtomir.
Harald works.
- Exactly.
- I'm Cody, by the way, Explore With Cody.
- All right. - And today we're gonna
be making a nail?
- Yeah.
- I gotta start off slow.
Soon it'll be like the axes and the swords.
(Josh laughs) - Yeah.
- But first is a nail. - Yeah.
- All right, so what do we got?
- So we have, we do those bellows, the huff and puff.
We have a bar of iron, we have a four engine.
Once it gets to orange temperature,
take it out, smack it, smack the end of it.
- Okay.
- You'll see what happens, and then.
- Cool, let's do it. - Have fun.
- Thank you. - I don't think you can
go wrong really. (Cody laughs)
(blowing)
- All right.
- That should be good. - Ooh, yeah, here we go.
- Now, almost melting heat.
Turn the hammer up.
(clanging)
Not as easy as it looks either.
- It's definitely not.
You make it look easy.
- [Harald] Let's say, I've done it before.
- Have you? (laughs)
(clanging)
- At this point, you can heat it more again, really.
- Okay. - 'Cause it won't move much.
- Yeah.
- You can do, at this heat you can planche it,
make it nice and smooth.
- Yeah, yeah.
(upbeat instrumental music)
At this point, it's just rinse and repeat.
Harald explains to me that flip it 90 degrees
every time I hit the iron bar.
We put it back into the coals until
it turns bright orange again.
Doing this for about 30 minutes, you don't realize
how hard it is to actually be a
blacksmith and to make a simple nail.
How close are we to finishing this nail?
- Not that close, really.
(laughing)
Like honestly.
- We've been goin' at this for like 20 minutes.
I'm about to finish off this nail.
He kinda finished it up real quick.
We took a short intermission as he
finished the nail for us.
I'm gonna cut it though so it stops
becoming this huge ass nail.
It becomes a regular nail.
I made this and now I decided that I need
to make some nails, so we'll save this for later.
But the nails are more important right now.
So now we're about to cut it while the iron's hot.
- [Josh] Finally, someone has to finish it off.
(clanging)
Whoa!
- Did it!
- [Josh] We're gonna start a fire!
- Next thing I'm gonna try and make
is like a little 99 dagger.
- [Josh] Of course.
- With it, runes and enchantments.
So we hold it over the edge, flat.
- [Harald] And hammer.
(clanging)
- [Josh] You gotta hit it harder than that.
- Yo, it's tough.
(clanging)
- [Josh] Harald says it's easy and
you're hitting it really weak.
- It's jumping.
- [Harald] Yeah.
Not the easiest thing in the world.
- [Josh] Oh, this is a.
Oh, this is really hard.
Okay.
We're done.
(laughing)
- [Josh] You didn't make it though.
(laughs)
You didn't it get it there.
- [Cody] Josh is gonna try it out.
- It's time to finish what Cody couldn't finish.
(Cody laughs)
- [Cody] I don't even think you're gonna finish it.
- What? - Harald's gonna finish it.
- I'm gonna get it right here.
- [Harald] Oh, surprised.
- Oh. (Cody laughs)
(clanging)
- Ah, dude, my hand!
- [Cody] I told you.
(clanging)
- Ah!
- All right, all right, you can finish it, bro.
(laughing)
- [Cody] Quick, quick.
- Let's see if I can-- - Ah, dude!
- [Cody] Yeah, you're gonna finish it.
- I take everything I said back.
- [Cody] Third time's a charm.
- Yup.
(clanging)
- Whoa.
- [Josh] Geez.
(hissing)
- [Cody] Ooh.
That's Josh and my and mostly Harald's nail.
We did it.
We're about to go do some Viking boat rowing now.
So we gotta go rest our arms for a second.
- [Josh] Thank you, man, appreciate it.
- [Cody] We hopped on the Viking longboat,
which was crucial to how the Vikings
sailed the world at this time.
The boat's were big enough to hold 20 to 100 men
and small enough that they could travel
through rivers and narrows places using their sails
when there was wind and rowing when there wasn't.
Today, we were lucky enough to have wind
so we were able to set sail, and I finally got
to experience what it was like to be a Viking for a day.
The Viking Age came to an end in the 11th century
as Christianity spread across Europe,
and the Vikings who once raided and went
home now settled across new lands.
But their reign of terror and discovery
left a mark across the globe.
So were they just bloodthirsty raiders or great explorers?
Let me know what you think in the comments down below.
And if you wanna come to the heart of the Viking territory
here in Norway and see this beautiful country for yourself,
I have made a complete guide to help you plan your trip.
And right now I have a free preview of that guide

Teachers Can't Afford Supplies, But Betsy DeVos Will Pay For Their Guns - Duration: 3:53.As schools all over the country get back in session within the last few weeks and the
upcoming week, it's important to remember that the Department of Education under-billionaire,
Betsy DeVos, still wants to arm your teacher, and now, they're trying to figure out a way
to where the federal government can pay to give your teacher a firearm, and of course,
proper firearm training.
Now here's the reason this particular story makes me angry.
Teachers across this country, for years now, have been going back to work each year to
under-funded school districts.
They can't afford supplies for their classroom.
On average, teachers in this country spend between $1,200 and $1,500 out of pocket every
year to buy supplies for their own classrooms because the districts, the states, the federal
government don't give them enough money to actually function.
Of course, teachers are one of the most under-paid professions here in the United States, so
$1,200 to $1,500 out of pocket each year is a huge chunk of their disposable income.
Furthermore, arming teachers will not work.
I think that's the big thing we're getting at here.
Law enforcement officials have told us this.
Putting more guns in our schools is only going to give people access to more guns to do horrible
things.
We actually saw earlier this year where a teacher shot a student.
So yeah, not all these teachers are exactly heroes out there.
Some of them just were waiting for the opportunity to go in and commit an atrocity, but Betsy
DeVos and the Department of Education right now are working on a plan to increase funding
from the federal government down to the states to provide firearms and firearm training or
teachers.
We can't give them supplies.
We can't give them pencils, and paper, and friggin' Kleenexes for their classrooms, but
we're gonna pay for their guns.
Hell yeah.
Why?
Because buying all these guns for teachers is gonna bolster the NRA, which we already
know is under huge financial duress, not to mention the fact that they had been infiltrated
by foreign spies, but Betsy DeVos doesn't care about that.
She just wants to make sure the NRA does great, and that the gun industry does great and they
get more money 'cause gun sells are slumping right now.
What better way to increase those sales and the profits of the death industry than by
having the federal government buy thousands upon thousands of guns and handing them out
to teachers across this country who do not want them?
That's the big takeaway here.
As I said, law enforcement officials don't think this is a good idea, and teachers don't
think this is a good idea.
You know what they want funding for?
Technology in the classroom, as I previously mentioned, Kleenexes, hand sanitizer, paper,
pencils, pens, things like that.
There's not enough funding to provide the very basic things that children need in order
to learn, but that doesn't matter to them.
Let's go spend some money that we don't have on guns that teachers don't want and put them
in a situation where they're gonna be choosing between who is the bad guy in the school,
and who is just somebody running because they're caught in the crossfire?
More guns equal more death.
Every chart on the subject will tell you the exact same thing, and there is no reason to
think that this new plan from the Department of Education would do anything other than
increase the amount of death here in this country.

I think the white and denim looks so good together and it's just so good for festival season
you can definitely wear this to the office of the right pair of pants or skirt and
It's a loose material. So it's just a lot of breathability here a lot of movement
It's definitely got like a bit of boho vibes in it, but just just really really cute
This is a very similar top to the one. I just showed you a lot of similar details
So you have a bit of the ruffles in the sleeve you have the embroidery you have this gorgeous
White color and just a very similar youthful feminine. Look to this. It is flowy again
I mean you could tuck this shirt in but I think it's not really meant to be tucked in
I know they are similar, but I did feel there was enough differences in
The details that I chose to go for both and I really love this flowy style
For the summer. I think I'm gonna get a lot of use out of it
I think it's just super super cute and I'm really looking forward to wearing this out and styling it
I've just paired them with these linen shorts
I did feature these in an Aliexpress
Spring and summer clothing home for 2018 and I will leave the link to that up in the YouTube cards above and I'll have all
The links to those are items that I'm showing you in the description box below
So check that out for details on sizing and on price as well. So if you're wondering how you would wear this type of
Bohemian girly top to work then this blazer is the answer to that. I love this blazer
I think it's so perfect for spring and summer because it's lightweight. It's got short sleeves
I love that has a slit on the side that just adds an element of coolness and it's very light color material
So it's gonna go well with all of this these other white pieces of clothing, but it does have this really funky colorful
Design on it. It's
Just a little bit of embroidery. It's got some sparkles on here too. Just
Really really unique pattern that is going to go
Well with so many different things. I think it's super funky and unique and as soon as I saw it, that's when I
Knew it was gonna be buying stuff from Zara
Like this was the piece that I added to the shopping cart that I said, okay
This is I'm definitely buying this. What else am I going to add on the car? You know what I mean?
You know when there's that one piece of clothing
So yeah, the other detail on here is that it does have this kind of hem in
The mid line that is kind of like an elastic
That adds a little bit of like of a frill at the bottom if you know what I mean
so just really cute and funky I
Hope you're not sick of all the white pieces yet
Because we got two more to show you and how gorgeous is this white flowy top
Slash dress. I mean it's definitely more of a top because it would be very short as a dress
But I have paired these with the same lemon shorts that I've been wearing
With the other items because I think it goes really well together
but this is so romantic so bohemian and
Just really?
free-flowing and gorgeous summery
I think this would be perfect to wear on vacation or for
Festivals or you know for a night out with the right pair of bottoms even to the office
This is something that I'm gonna be wearing a lot of there's a lot of details that I love about this gown or talk
Whatever you want to call it. I love these pleated fluted sleeves like how gorgeous is that? I
Love the v-neck on this. It's a really nice light fabric as well
and then we've got these ruffled pleats at the bottom with a
high-low
Hem, so just so cute. This is definitely you know, it's loose-fitting. It's more on the baggy err side
So if you like very form-fitting tops, then this one is not for you
But if you like that kind of very bohemian flowy style then I think this is just so gorgeous
You can definitely just pair this with a pair of linen shorts like I have or with a pair of denim shorts
I've worn these with
Just regular denim jeans
and I liked how they looked with that and you can just have fun with this kind of talk and
If you didn't want to cinch it in with a belt, then you could do that
But I mean it is meant to be this kind of low E
Style, so I would just wear it like this
But how cute is this definitely like with a couple of layered?
Necklaces, that would look really good with this top
But like how cute are these gorgeous sleeves, you know?
I love this fluted sleeve trend like very going back to the medieval times and just this beautiful
pleated
Ruffled detail just so so gorgeous
Okay guys my last piece in this zara spring and summer 2018 Tryon clothing haul is this gorgeous?
White broidery Anglais skirt how beautiful is this?
I know it's very similar to a lot of the other styles of clothing. Especially those shirts in the beginning that I've shown you
But when I saw this white skirt, I mean this so beautiful
I just had to get it it goes with so many things I paired this with this
beautiful pink
flowery applique off-the-shoulder
Bodysuit that I actually bought from Chien and it did feature this in a recent spring and summer
2018 haul I will link that video up above so check that out next if you're interested in learning more about this gorgeous bodysuit
I think the to work really well together, but I just love this skirt so much. It is high waisted
My belly button is right here. So it goes up above the waist
so I think this kind of style of skirt definitely works well with a bodysuit because you don't want any kind of bunching or
anything
Unflattering with the material happening along the hemline. It's a very nice Leng
Um, I don't love wearing miniskirts. So this goes to
Just I guess like at my knee basically
Yeah, pretty much. The hemline goes to my knee and
I just think this is perfect to wear for the office and to dress up for events or
For a night out or on the weekend or whatever. It's definitely a very versatile
Skirt, it's got a very similar
embroidery pattern as some of those shirts that I
Was showing you earlier and it's a very very starch white. So there's not no off-white happening
It's definitely like a really bright white material but this to me, is this really romantic
It's got lit very I don't know maybe like a knit 20s feel like it's very Gatsby esque
type skirt
I just think it's really cute and flattering and I just love the spring and summer 2018 trends happening
They fit my style so well
so I probably bought a lot more clothes than I need to this season just
because I want to grab those clothes while they're still in style because I know I'm going to be wearing this for
Many years to come because it fits so well with my personal style
Which is kind of West Coast casual meets trendy feminine
So yeah, I like the skirt. What do you guys think? Let me know. I think it's just really really beautiful and romantic
That is the end of my Zara haul for the spring and summer of 2018
I know is a very white clothing oriented Hall
but let me know your thoughts if you liked it or disliked it and

look,
where did the boat go?
we just wanted a love
god sometimes seems to forget
don't say that please
this is only the beggining of the end of our lives
let the dream come
set up an avenue
cause we're gonna pass
look
when did it all fall down?
we run to hide
and love, love each other till the end
without knowing that the end is coming
let the man knock the door
cause i'm tired of running away
i don't see any reasons
for a love of various wrinkles
not having their place
open the window now
let the sun see you
just remember that love is so much bigger
that we're alone in heaven
open the curtains for me
cause i don't hide from anyone
love has already unraveled our place
and now it's okay
let the man knock the door cause i'm tired of running away
i don't see many reasons for a love of various wrinkles
not having their place
tell me
who's bigger
than love?
hold me tight now
cause it's our time
come on, let's go further
they'll say
that life is fleeting
without noticing that our star
will fall.
looking for something
i've never looked for myself
looking for myself
i interpretated me
and couldn't understand it
looking for understanding
i compared myself particularly
and universally
and realized
that what I used to see in front of me
was the reflection
of what came to me
then I broke the mirror
and saw myself
for the first time
hey
hi
i'm filming your face
oh no
did you know that your birthday is monday?
yes
how do you feel?
you're turning 18
it makes no difference
eeee
did you know we made a year of dating?
two months ago
or one month?
true
yeah
why are you that close?
cause i'm relying my face

What is your favorite comedy? - Duration: 3:29.hello friends I'm dragonate and welcome to another dragonate reading your answers
video your question for last week was what is your favorite comedy tee ELISA
asked us this question you guys answered and I'll be reading your answers in this
video but before we get started we need a new cushion for this week if money
could buy anything and you had enough what would you buy first let me know in
the comments below and I'll read them next week now let's see what your
favorite comedies are funny fluffy says I don't know many comedies but I really
find reaction gifts are just most gifts to be funny so here you go enjoy a
random gif of a robot getting stuck in the wall and unable to move in no man's
sky xx-chromo XX says miss that one but my favorite comedy is Kevin Hart don't
know a film but it's a Kevin Hart film my mom says comedies I like overboard
and Ghostbusters was pretty good too sandy brew you we haven't seen you in
quite a long time so I hope you have been doing well you say your favorite
comedy is three amigos movie DLT dad doesn't watch many comedies because on
the computer all the time that's okay zinc aunt Leigh Leigh has been watching
a show called Kim's convenience it's from Canada and lots of fun so that's my
favorite show for now I don't know what that is but I used oh wait I'll leave
that for the end Benny says a very love channel on TV is Pro 7 and I watch this
one too so the channels born for comedy like The Simpsons and The Big Bang
Theory I've watched a little bit of the Big
Bang Theory but not too much The Simpsons our blood also hasn't been
around for quite a while so how I hope you've been doing well thank you forever
comedies are and of Adam Sandler movies like water boy and happy Madison and
meets or says a comedy of one word um Oh God okay yes so go ahead and butcher it
it's really nice dark and more for adults show okay let's see if I can
pronounce this because I'm usually terrible pronouncing other languages has
ela is that correct let me know if that's
correct me too but yeah so there's that and Cassie the
pony really likes Pink Panther as well just like T Lisa does my favorite comedy
I don't think I have seen too too many I'm trying to think movies I I enjoyed
the Pink Panther that was pretty good um Spy Kids I'm sure it's supposed to be
sort of like a comedy kind of thing as well as her TV shows I used to watch
Reba and according to Jim both were really fun in my opinion of course kids
in school thought that I was idiot for watching those shows but to know
whatever that's their fault I don't care and that is it for your answers thank
you all so much again for your participation don't forget your question
for this week if you had enough money there if money could buy anything and if
you had enough what would you buy first let me know that comments below and I'll
read your answers next week and I also have to apologize because I thought that
I mentioned last week that's this week this past week I wouldn't be able to do
any live streams and that it turns out I don't think I actually did mention it so
I apologize for that this week we'll be back to normal there will be live
streams on the Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday as usual and I don't think
there's anything else for me to say it's been really smoky here lately so that's
my throat's really bothering me so if I seem to be unhappy or something that's
probably the reason why and the mic a little closer to me so I don't have to
talk as loud and the last thing as usual there is a Lord of the Rings RPG book
bundle for on on Humble Bundle there will be a link up there as usual link
over here at the big box and then also in the description go take a look at
that if you're a fan of Lord of the Rings and that's it for this video thank
you for watching and I will see you again very very soon have a wonderful
week buh bye and Godbless
