To Tallahassee Magazine, Andrew Gillum revealed that he first flirted with her by penalizing her for wearing a "short skirt" to student government, but she wasn't pleased by that.
They reportedly met again in 2003, and Gillum gave her his home phone number, which R.
Jai Gillum promptly ignored.
She said, "I didn't think he was serious.
He was wearing both of his cell phones, and then he gave me his home phone number.
I said, 'Anyone with two cell phones is never at home.'".
The Gillums were finally arranged by mentors from college, according to Tallahassee Magazine, and their first date took place at Bennigans, which they now refer to as "the first date that never ended.

When asked about her husband's role as a father, R.
Jai Gillum said, "Andrew is a really great dad, he's making sure that this campaign doesn't affect our family time and our family life.".

"There was this one place, Larson Family (Winery)," recalled Andrew, "where you could horseback ride through the vineyard.
So I convinced her that we were going to go here and take a horseback ride.
The guy (was) there in advance and had set up a table and two chairs with some wine out in the vineyard. The horses were so familiar with a certain route that when they got out there and saw the tablecloths, the horses freaked out.".

Gillum said, "I got down on one knee and asked her if she would be my life partner.
She said yes.".
The couple has reportedly had some issues with conceiving children, but R.

Arsenal news includes a look at what a potential new Adidas kit could look like
Arsenal are said to be on the verge of announcing a new multi million pound sponsorship agreement
with Adidas.
The deal will see the German sportswear giants become the north London club's official kit
manufacture from next season onwards.
Reports have increased in the last few days that an official announcement could be imminent,
with Gunners legend Ian Wright even taking to social media to have his say.
"So pleased Adidas are back sponsoring after this coming season️," he tweeted.
"Especially after seeing what Puma have come up with."
Arsenal's existing five-year partnership with Puma, worth £30m a year, comes to an conclusion
at the end of this season and Adidas are heavily tipped to take over once the deal expires.
In February there were suggestions that Adidas could be willing to pay Arsenal more than
£50m a year to see off strong rival interest from Nike.
And now there are strong rumours doing the rounds that a deal has been struck between
the sportswear giant and the Premier League outfit.
Should that happen, it would be the first time since 1994 that Adidas have been Arsenal's
official kit sponsors - and Gunners fans certainly seem to be loving the idea of a return to
the link up we saw during the 1980s and 90s.

EarthQuaker Devices Aqueduct Vibrato | Reverb Tone Report - Duration: 9:42.
Hey it's Andy with the Reverb Tone Report. Today we're checking out a
versatile vibrato pedal from Earthquaker Devices: The Aqueduct. Earthquaker devices
have set forth to produce a long-awaited effect in their tonal catalog with a
pitch warping pedal capable of wobble, squiggle, and shake with the Aqueduct Vibrato
Utilizing a short delay line and an intuitive, straightforward, design
Aqueduct has eight modulation modes to easily adapt to nearly any musical
situation. Sine, Triangle, Ramp, and Square modes provide classic and reliable pitch
modulation for subtle and organic movement. The Aqueduct's Envelope mode
allows for interactive control over the depth, rate and pitch of the vibrato,
which is controlled by player touch and performance. The Envelope Pitch mode also
includes a wet/dry blend to go beyond just vibrato, including familiar chorus
flanger and tactile tremolo bar-like pitch bends. EQD has lovingly nicknamed
it the "My Bloody Valentine" setting. Random mode introduces a " warped record"
effect at low settings, and shakes things up to an unpredictable assortment of
slimy pitch bends and synthy pulses. To keep your audience from getting too

Let's check out the sine wave for some traditional vibrato effects. I'm only
going to keep the depth around halfway, so it doesn't get too seasick.
Let's check out the random mode, which is a lot of fun, especially when you have
the rate increased, and the depth back for a nice subtle and warped record effect.
The sqaure mode, I found very versatile. You could speed things up and get all
those crazy sci-fi bleeps, but when you slow it down, it still becomes very
musical.
And sometimes vibrato effects are best used sparingly, and Earthquaker
certainly understands this, hence the option of momentary switching when you
only hold the switch down.
And here's the Envelope Rate mode, which changes the speed based on how hard you
play. You set the input sensitivity with the rate control, and you can really
change the speed and have greater control by playing with your guitar's
volume, or in this case using my series parallel switch.

Still ⭐ Living In a Trailer?!🍨Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth - Duration: 3:34.
When Joy-Anna Duggar married Austin Forsyth back in May of 2017, it initially looked
as though she had found herself the ideal Duggar husband.
Austin is an Arkansas native, raised in the same Christian fundamentalist community that
produced the Duggar clan.
He's as God-fearing as his folks and seems to have no desire to rock the boat by relocating
or subscribing to any belief systems that don't align with Jim Bob's.
But there might be one area in which Austin comes up a bit short.
It seems that he doesn't share JB's knack for attracting wealth like a magnetic prospector.
Before Austin received permission to propose to Joy-Anna , his very traditional father
insisted that he demonstrate he can earn a living by flipping three houses.
The Duggars also supplement their incomes by flipping cars and properties, so Jim Bob
was likely reassured by Austin's abilities.
Unfortunately, it now looks as though those early successes may have been a case of beginner's
look.
By most accounts, Joy and Austin are struggling financially.
Despite purchasing and renovating a home before tying the knot, we now know that Joy and Austin
are living in a trailer, which has led many fans to the conclusion that they were unable
to afford a mortgage.
As In Touch Weekly points out, Joy confirmed the reports about her living situation on
Instagram this week.
On Monday, Joy posted the above photo and announced that she would be cleaning her home
all day.
The questions from fans began to pour in immediately.
"Did you guys list your house? I see you are living in the RV again," one commenter queried.
"We'll be posting an update soon!" Joy replied.
"Yes, we are living in a camper, and I love it!"
Now, Joy and Austin are very young, and there's certainly no shame in living in a trailer
... for most people.
But the Duggars see wealth as an expression of God's grace, and they view debt and poverty
as the wages of sin.
Plus, Joy and Austin purchased a house and proudly documented the amount of work they
put into renovating it.
So trailer park life was almost certainly not part of their plan for the future.
On top of everything else Joy-Anna and Austin welcomed their first child back in February,
and a family that's as concerned with appearances as the Duggars probably isn't thrilled with
having an infant grandchild in a trailer.
The situation left many fans wondering how something like this could have happened.
It may seem crazy that a member of one of reality TV's most famous families would be
so close to the poverty line, but when it comes to bank balances, the Duggars are no
Kardashians.
Not only do they not earn nearly as much, but what they do earn has to be divided among
the entire massive clan.
So it's entirely possible that Joy and Austin might have failed to properly and now find
themselves in dire financial straits.
Fortunately, if anyone has the means and connections to recover from such a scenario, it's these
two.

We can understand that.
The common perception is that men who are taller are more athletic, attractive and successful.
While some short men and even women become discontent with their height and even go up
to the extent of bone lengthening surgery to increase their height, what is often overlooked
is the fact that there are advantages to being short.

No.1 Short Men Live Longer
According to a study published on Wednesday, May 7 2014 in the journal PLOS ONE, the taller
you are, the faster mortality.
This study included 8,000 Japanese-American men who were followed over a span of 40 years.
Following that, researchers came to the conclusion that taller men are more prone to chronic
conditions as compared to short men, hence, men with a shorter stature have a longer lifespan.
"If you're bigger, you have more cells, so you have to grow more, and you use up a lot
of those cells," researcher Dr. Tim Donlon theorized in an article in Hawaii News Now.
"My feeling is that if you're shorter, you have a reserve of cells you can use later
in life, and that might have some impact on why shorter people or smaller people have
a longer life span".
Who doesn't want to live long?
If you want to live long, go and make yourself shorter.

No.2 Short men look younger for longer
We cannot say this applies to all short people but I am sure you know a few petite people
who look younger than their actual age.
It may be a slight disadvantage during your teens, but let me tell you that it is a huge
advantage in your late 20´s and up.
Women love it when guys look young, young means fit, fresh and full of life.
You probably still get your identification card checked when entering dance clubs or
wanting to buy a drink.
We should take this as a compliment.
Looking like a teenager does have its benefits.
For one, when you travel overseas, you can pass off as a student and pay only student
rates for numerous things like transportation.

Short men have lower risk of suffering from blood clots
Here's some more bad news for tall people; if you lead a sedentary lifestyle, you are
at a higher risk of developing recurrent blood clots or venous thrombosis.
A study published in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis in 2015 found that tall men
between the height of 195-200 cm were at an increased risk of recurrent blood clots by
at least two and a half times.
Tall men (six feet and up) are 2.6 times more likely than short men (5'8 and down) to
develop venous thromboembolisms, blood clots that start in veins, according to researchers
from University of Tromso in Norway who surveyed the heights, weights, and medical records
of 27,000 people.
But they also found that obese people were more likely to develop these blood clots—yet
another reason not to compensate for those missing vertical inches by extending yourself
horizontally.
Next time you see a short man, you can envy him because he's less likely to suffer from
blood clots.

Short Men are less intimidating Ok, this can be a disadvantage or an advantage,
depending on when, where and how you play it.
Take for instance, when approaching girls it is better to look less of a threat (in
the beginning).
Women are faster to open up to a conversation because they are not intimidated.
Don't get me wrong, women like bad boys but they do not like to be approached by some
very threatening looking guys in public.
Also, if you want to look more intimidating as a short guy or your goal is to look more
intimidating than you do at the moment: grow a beard, get tattoos, get jacked and learn
"Alpha Body Language".
But, why in the first place do you want to look intimidating?

No.5 Short Men Have Lower Risk of Cancer
For men, the risk of any type of cancer increases by 11 percent for every 4 inches of height,
according to a study conducted by scientists at the University of Stockholm that examined
data from 5.5 million people.
The study bolstered past findings that linked prostate cancer to height.
Some researchers suspect this is because taller people have more cells that could potentially
turn cancerous.
Or it could have something to do with the growth hormone receptors that help stimulate
height (and, alas, tumor growth).
A 2014 study published in the Cancer Causes & Control journal found that taller men and
women are at an increased risk of cancer and cancer related deaths.
This study included 38, 862 participants who were diagnosed with cancer.
On the other hand, taller men are more prone to colon, rectum, and prostate cancers.
How I wish I was a short man!

If you're a short person, you better be proud of yourself!
No.6 Short Guys Get More Credit.
Depending of course on what you achieve, but people tend to be more impressed by successful
short men, because usually they do not expect short guys to be successful.
Yes people underestimate short people.
If you're short use this to your advantage and surprise everybody!
Not only that, but you also get away with more than taller guys.
If you made an inappropriate joke or something like that, people tend to forgive you pretty
quick.
No.7 Short men are shielded from the sun
I am sure many of you have done this.
It is a hot day, you do not have an umbrella with you and there is no shaded area in sight.
What a short man needs to do is to use the tall man next to him as shield.
Your taller friends will understand if you use them as impromptu shelter from the sun.
There's another good news here.
Are you ready for it?
Tom Samaras, the American researcher studied the effects of heat on different body types.
His findings show that the shorter a person is, the less likely they are to suffer the
ill effects of the sun.
"The advantage of tall people keeping warmer in cold weather becomes a disadvantage in
hot weather," writes Samaras.
"Thus, in a hot environment, the shorter person's surface area in proportion to body
heat generated at rest allows him/her to lose heat more readily than taller people of similar
body builds."
The shorter a person is, the less likely they are to suffer the ill effects of the sun.

People are inclined to do more for short men.
When you ask for the box of crackers on the top shelf in the grocery store, it makes whoever
you asked immediately feel compassionate towards you.
"Let me hold this door open for you," they say, or, "Let me make sure that no
large people trample your small frame."
Also, people are more inclined to be a little nicer around short men, because you just look
so innocent.

Short Men Have Last Relationship.
A 2014 study at New York University reveals that men who stand below 5'7" are 32 percent
less likely to get a divorce, compared with men of average and above-average height.
The implications of the study are that shorter men tend to marry less and marry later, developing
longer lasting and well-considered relationships.
The study goes on to say that shorter men do a greater share of the housework and bring
home a greater share of income.
The sociological implications of this study are disappointingly mired in archaic unconscious
bias and theories of "short man syndrome."
But let's accentuate the positive: a collaborative and considered partnership and not divorcing.
Another plus in the relationship department comes from a study of Hungarian men published
in 2014 in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
The study found that participants that stood below 5'9" reported having more sex than
taller guys: 2.69 times per week on average.
In 2009 writer Julie Manis expounded on her love of short men for Salon, writing of "a
special intimacy that comes with being the same height as your lover."
If short men have all these virtues, why do we stigmatize them?
If short people have all these unfair advantages over tall people, why are they not proud of
themselves?

North Korea, Japan held secret meeting in Vietnam last month, didn't inform U.S.: WP - Duration: 1:55.
Apparently, senior officials from North Korea and Japan met last month in Vietnam... and
didn't tell the United States.
That's what the Washington Post is reporting, and it says the Trump administration was irritated
that it wasn't informed.
Japan wants North Korea to return its citizens that were kidnapped decades ago, which is
what they most likely talked about.

It's being reported that North Korea and Japan held secret talks in Vietnam last month,...
WITHOUT informing the United States.
The Washington Post reports the talks were held in July between the head of Japan's Cabinet
Intelligence and Research Office, Shigeru Kitamura,... and Kim Song-hye, the North's
senior official in charge of reunification.
The report says senior U.S. officials expressed irritation Tokyo did not provide information
about the meeting.
But it added Japanese officials believe they cannot solely rely on the U.S. to solve the
issue of Japanese nationals abducted by the North in the 1970s and 80s.
The issue has been a stumbling block in Pyongyang and Tokyo improving their relations... and
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has continuously called on the U.S. to try and resolve it.
Meanwhile, a Japanese tourist who was detained in North Korea was sent home on Tuesday.
Tomoyuki Sugimoto,... who is said to be a video journalist, arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday
after flying in from China.
He was reportedly detained in early August for filming a military facility in Nampo,...
a city located some 50 kilometers southwest of Pyongyang.
Japan's foreign ministry plans to question him on why and how he was detained, what he
had to go through before being released... and what North Korea's intentions are.
Sources say Sugimoto could have been released after such a short period of time because
his alleged crime was relatively minor.

Mike Pompeo may not be going to Pyongyang, but top South Korean officials think President
Moon Jae-in should go there for his scheduled summit next month with Kim Jong-un.
In a parliamentary hearing Wednesday, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa said the South Korean
government needs to prepare for and go ahead with the summit so it can contribute to denuclearization.
She said Pompeo's trip was canceled because there haven't been any notable developments
on that front.
