How to Network on a Daily Basis - Duration: 0:45.
Most of us spend a lot of time posting about our stuff - ourself - looking at it
like this from an image - of this - which is good. It's fine, but the key is, if you
want to be a digital leader, it's turning the phone this way and posting it out
about other people. It is what's called posting it forward. It's really
highlighting other people out there, to say, "I respect these three people," and
then post about them. It's actually networking before you actually need the
network. It's about networking at a day-to-day level and all these digital
tools make it easier than ever to do that.

august favs - Duration: 7:31.
Hello and welcome to 'august favs'.
It is the first in a rebranded favs series.
Series?
Is it a series or is it just a type of video that I do?
There are two main reasons that I wanted to upgrade the branding of my favs videos.
The first is the aesthetic of the video.
The way that a video looks to me is so important.
Second of all, having five categories, let alone five categories that had stupid fucking
titles, was stupid.
So listening becomes music, wearing becomes style, and doing reading, and watching becomes
other.
I think I might have an issue, but, eh, here are my music favs.
The first of my music favs is the song 'Give a Little', by Maggie Rogers.
[music] What can I say about Maggie Rogers other than the fact that she just continuously
comes out with absolute bangers?
I mean, I could say a lot if I wrote real notes, but all I said was, "it's another complete
banger from Maggie", and, "her voice hits a spot, I dunno".
Listen to me, 'Alaska' is somehow my most listened to song ever on Spotify.
I think that's a testament to how good of a songwriter Maggie Rogers is, and this song,
is no different.
Next up is Rina Sawayama's 2017 mini-album, 'Rina".
[music] The songs that you saw me dancing to mere seconds ago are my current favourites
from this album.
They are, 'Ordinary Superstar', 'Take Me as I Am', and 'Alterlife', but 'Tunnel Vision',
featuring Shamir actually featured in my top ten songs of 2017.
But here's the tea, right.
I did not really pay attention to Rina Sawayama's music apart from 'Tunnel Vision' all of last
year, and let me tell you, I regret it.
This album is astonishingly good.
Rina writes these incredible lyrics about technology and fame and social media, and
then juxtaposes them against late 90s-Y2K-early 2000s pop and R&B sounds.
You will hear people saying, on the daily, that Rina Sawayama is the future of pop, and
I cannot wait for that future, if she keeps making music like this.
Now my final music favourite is also my Song of the Week, it's the song 'Heatwave' by Philip
Brooks featuring Maisie Kate.
[music] Philip Brooks is a German artist who makes a lot of dream pop and shoegaze music.
And you might know Maisie Kate from certain YouTube circles, she's pretty cool.
And this song blends both of their voices and styles of music so beautifully it hurts
me.
I followed Philip on Instagram when I found this song, and he said that the song was written
to sound like a really lazy summer's evening.
I support this vision and idea so much.
And so, after that twenty minute rant about music that should really have only lasted
approximately eight minutes, here are my style favs.
The first thing I wanted to talk about: this button-down shirt that I'm wearing.
It's from Zara, and it has an animal print all over it.
If you've been following me for a while, you'd know that I like a bit of fun.
You might hear a middle-aged women's magazine saying that I like to inject a bit of whimsy
into my style.
And this shirt is the epitome of whimsy.
I wore it to work last week, and I got compliments so... nice.
Also the material that it's made of just benefits my life in every single way because it tucks
so nicely!
Next!
Now we have something that I wasn't really expecting - this Adidas hoodie.
Every few months or so, I go into a sports shop and get the idea into my head that I
want to buy something kind of vaguely sports-related, and it's usually Adidas.
This hoodie is a very questionable buy because it was expensive, and I was pressured into
buying it by my mother.
But honestly, I don't regret it, because this is so soft.
It's so warm and oversized, and I can't wait to wear it while I'm like, studying.
My only complaint is that the size I got it in is oversized, but it's not quite oversized
enough to be like, "oh, okay, I see what you're doing".
It's not gonna stop me wearing it and absolutely rocking it, but, it's a shame.
And finally, this t-shirt from the brand, Dream But Do Not Sleep.
I hate to say this to you, I found this brand via Instagram.
They were promoting this line that they were doing, which was kind of, em, Super Soaker
themed, and so I clicked on it out of interest, I thought it looked kind of cool.
And then I realised that they were mostly long sleeved t-shirts.
So I just scrolled down and I found this t-shirt and I fell in love with it.
Again, like this shirt, it is fun, whimsical, bright.
Adjectives!
And also it goes with my green jeans which is really nice.
And while I don't wear a lot of slogan t-shirts that much anymore, this one has a nice slogan.
Okay!
Others.
The first is the early-90s TV series, 'Twin Peaks'.
Watching 'Twin Peaks' is worth every single hour you spent trying to find a decent quality
upload that wouldn't give your computer a virus.
It starts off with a pretty innocuous nineties soap opera style gig.
A girl gets murdered, it's kind of affecting the whole town.
And then shit starts to go downhill, when you realise you're actually watching what
can only be described as a psychological horror fuckery show.
Okay, it's not that scary, it's just unnerving and creepy at times.
Everything is a bit off, everything is a bit skewed.
You should watch it.
Next up is this beautiful speaker.
It is the JBL Charge 3, and quite honestly, I love the sound that it makes when it comes
on, I mean.
[moaning] Okayyyy.
It is the best thing that has ever entered this room.
I lie, I have entered this room on several occasions.
Fun fact about this speaker, nobody spent money on it, my Dad won it for playing golf
really well.
Previously I had no, like, speaker or anything to play music, apart from my phone and my
laptop, and my dad was always complaining that anytime I played it really loud, it sounded
really tinny.
But now, we have this.
It's, as far as I know, waterproof, it can charge your phone, it has like twenty hours
of battery life which is madness. and my final favourite of the month is something that I
think has changed my life.
It is a skin cleanser, it's called Cetaphil, or Cetaphil, I dunno.
Here's the thing, I learned about Cetaphil originally from an article written about Troye
Sivan in the Spring 2018 edition of Dazed.
"I learn that Sivan uses Cetaphil to keep himself dewy and acne-free".
So I began to dwell on this quote, and I thought, "I want skin like Troye Sivan".
First time I researched it, read that it probably wasn't very good for you.
Eh, mostly because it contains no natural ingredients whatsoever.
But I found it in Boots, and I said, "I am going to fork out the money that they want
for this", so I did, and I have not looked back since.
I use it every morning when I get out of the shower, and every night before I go to bed.
Afterwards I moisturise, because I don't wanna ruin myself, and it has made my skin, so consistent.
It has been making my skin just a little bit greasier, but I think that's also the fact
that I'm using a moisturiser that doesn't absorb as well.
It's just wonderful.
It's such a great product.
Okay, that's all I have for you this week.
If you enjoyed this video, like, and if you wanna see more of these, subscribe, I upload
every single Monday.
Like I keep saying, I would love to reach a thousand subscribers, and if you could tell
your friends about my videos, that would be kind of amazing.
I'll see you next week for another video, I hope it is not as long winded as this one,
but, em, goodbye! [music]

That Time I Got In Trouble With The Government - Duration: 6:39.
I got an email a couple of weeks ago, asking:
how do you get started making stuff online?
If you're starting from scratch,
if you have zero followers, zero subscribers, zero anything,
how do you get an audience?
How do you get popular on the internet?
The first time I tried to answer that question,
it was more than ten years ago.
YouTube didn't even exist back then,
and I thought I knew it all.
I didn't, and I probably still don't.
But with another decade and a million subscribers under my belt since then,
I can at least tell you the rules that I've worked by for the last 15 years or so,
not just for YouTube, but for anywhere online.
The short answer is: you just make stuff.
The long answer… well,
the best way to tell that does not start on an incredibly rainy Scottish island.
It starts down in London.
Right.
I've been making stuff for the internet pretty much all my adult life.
I had a few decent hits when I was younger,
viral web pages and games and short videos
that were forwarded on through email in the days before social media.
But those were one-off bolts from the blue,
they were nothing you could base any sort of career on.
When I was 19, the British government mailed a leaflet out to every home in the country.
It was called Preparing for Emergencies,
and it gave some pretty obvious advice on what to do in the event of a disaster.
There was a lot of cynicism about that leaflet,
and while the intentions were good,
it was mostly seen as a waste of the taxpayers' money.
The government also put up preparingforemergencies.gov.uk.
They forgot to register preparingforemergencies.co.uk,
so I bought the domain, copied their web site,
changed all the text to be really sarcastic,
sent it off to a few friends, and went to bed.
That sort of joke was still new and exciting in 2004.
I'll be honest, it hasn't aged well since then.
This was before social media, way before smartphones.
Facebook had only just got its first round of investment,
and it was only open to a few US colleges.
That joke was being forwarded by email from person to person to person,
because that's how it worked back then.
And the feedback that I was getting was by email.
Anyway, when I woke up the morning after,
okay, I was a student, so it was probably the afternoon after, but,
I had some emails from friends saying 'that's quite funny'.
And so I had some messages from people I didn't know saying 'that's quite funny'.
And then there were some messages from people whose email addresses ended in .gov.uk,
saying, 'that's quite funny, it's doing the rounds of the civil servants'.
And then there was a message from someone in
the government department responsible for the original leaflet,
saying 'take it down'.
And I said no.
And it turns out that while mocking the government is a reasonably good gag,
mocking the government and then having the government not find it funny,
that is a really good gag.
At least in countries where you can get away with it.
That takedown request meant that the news got interested,
and this went all over the country, as in,
national newspapers and local television coverage.
And it was just a quick joke that I'd put together in an hour or so because… well,
because the alternative was not doing it.
Preparing for Emergencies was the first demonstration I had
of a principle I now know and have worked with for years:
that the chances of a project succeeding aren't really coupled
to how much time, effort and money you've spent on it.
And it can often seem like the opposite is true. You'll see people complain
that the thing they've poured all their heart and soul and effort and time into,
that thing sank,
but something quick and dirty that they slapped together has become popular.
And maybe that's true, maybe that is how it works sometimes.
But I would bet that, like me, anyone with that complaint
has made loads and loads of quick and dirty things.
And most of those will have failed.
It's just that they didn't care as much about those quick and dirty things,
they just don't remember them as much,
compared to that One Big Project.
If you spent ten dollars and one hour on an idea, it is likely to fail.
But if you spend a million dollars and a year on an idea, it is still likely to fail.
There's an old adage called Sturgeon's Law: "90% of everything is crap".
I realise that isn't what Theodore Sturgeon actually said,
it's been cut down a bit over the years, but the idea holds.
Sturgeon was a science fiction author,
and his reply to the idea that "90% of science fiction is crap", was yes, it is,
but only because 90% of everything is crap.
Most things fail.
And sure, something that's spent months being polished
might have a slightly better chance of survival:
but the odds are still against you. Instead of polishing,
you could spend those months shoving out ten or twenty or a hundred ideas,
and each one of those projects is a new roll of the dice.
And each one of those projects is something you learn from,
something that helps make the next roll of the dice just a little more likely to succeed.
Of course, this is all assuming that your definition of success involves being popular
or getting paid for it.
These days, I know that I could probably make a lot more money
and save a lot of effort if I just stood in front of a green screen
and monologued about "Incredible Facts About Cartoon Series You Won't Believe"
or "Ancient Mysteries 'They' Don't Want You To Know About".
But then, I wouldn't be travelling so much,
I wouldn't be having so much fun
and maybe I wouldn't have kept going through rough times.
There are other definitions of success that aren't just about the numbers.
More than a decade ago, I came up with this graph.
Across the bottom is effort, and across the side is awesome.
This is still the guiding principle that I use to determine
whether I'm going to do a project or not.
And sure, what I consider 'effort' and 'awesome' have changed over the years,
both in definition and in scale.
Awesome doesn't have to mean money, or viewcount,
it can mean getting to do something really cool or working with someone you admire.
You define your own success.
Anyway. Naive me, at 19, thought there was a chance
of going right from Preparing for Emergencies to a full-time job
making weird stuff for a living.
There wasn't any chance of that.
Obviously, in hindsight.
Because the people looking at the site weren't going "oh, he's good",
they were going "oh, that's good".
There was no reason to stick around,
no reason to do the 2004 equivalent to clicking the subscribe button,
which was clicking a subscribe button, it just added an RSS feed to your reader.
I miss RSS.
Anyway, I got lots of lovely emails about Preparing for Emergencies,
I made a couple of contacts from it, but that was all.
I'd taken only the first step up the ladder,
and I had no idea how long that ladder would be.
So I kept making stuff.
But back then, I was missing a piece of the puzzle,
and it's a really important piece.
But to explain that, I need to start heading north.

I Got My Face Vaporized For $150 | Beauty With Mi | Refinery29 - Duration: 6:13.
Hey guys.
This is Mi Anne, and this is Beauty With Mi.
Earlier this summer, I got my first laser facial,
and I came out of that 15 minute treatment
so thrilled with the results.
So, I decided to go back, but this time for something a
little bit more intense.
3, 2, 1.
But first, please make sure you're subscribed.
Little red button, down below, you know the drill.
Beauty With Mi comes out every Monday at 11 AM.
So, back to the spa.
I zipped over to Skin Laundry, met Elyse Shelger, the
same registered nurse who performed my first treatment, and she sat me
down for the Carbon Peel.
Last time I was here, when I got the 15 minute laser facial, I saw that there
was this cool other treatment that you guys do that involves carbon.
It's called the Carbon Peel.
Yes.
I wanted to try it, but I was told that I couldn't because you need to get the
first laser treatment first.
Exactly.
Is that correct?
Is it the same two lasers that we used last time, the Yag and the I.P.L.?
Yes.
What differentiates this Carbon Peel from others that you may see on the market
is that we, couple it with the I.P.L. treatment.
And the I.P.L. is really effective for destroying acne-causing
bacteria, which is photosensitive.
And it calms inflammation and redness, so it's just a really good
one-two punch for-
Yes!
breakouts and it gives you a really amazing glow since we're removing
the dead skin cells.
Well, I'm very excited to do this.
I feel like I'm at that time of the month where I need it, so shall I lie down?
Yes.
I'm so excited that you're here to try it, and let's get started.
Okay, so the first thing I'll do is use one of Skin Laundry's purifying cleansing
cloths just to remove any residual makeup or oils from skin before we get started.
So, the Carbon Peel involves a similar process as the laser facial that you had
last time with an added step where we apply a carbon lotion to your skin prior
to the laser treatment.
We're going to let this set for about 10 minutes.
While it's setting, it will bind to the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of
your skin, and any material within your pores.
I'm now just gonna remove any excess.
We want the laser to really reach the skin so we don't want too thick of a layer.
Okay, so the first pass that I'm going to do is called heat mode.
This is going to help the carbon to better bind to that
outermost layer of skin.
So, beginning on the center of your forehead.
3, 2, 1.
How does that feel?
Feels fine.
It actually kind of tickles a little bit.
You'll hear more of a loud crackling sound because as the laser is passed
over the carbon, it's attracted to that pigment, and it's vaporizing.
So, the laser that we used, that you had last time, does vaporize any debris
in the skin and on the surface, as well as dead skin cells, this is just
going to intensify that exfoliation, and it will create more fumes just because of
the carbon, that's why we'll use a vacuum.
Like any of our facials, it's appropriate for all skin types and
all skin concerns, but we do believe that this is the best
treatment for acne-prone skin because you're getting that deep pore cleanse and
it's removing the outermost layer of skin with no down time.
So, it can help reduce the chance of clogged pores, and just
remove that dead skin that accumulates on the surface.
Okay Mi-Anne, I'm gonna apply the gel for your I.P.L. now.
This is just a water-based gel.
And this I.P.L. gel helps to evenly distribute the light from
your skin, so you get a really even treatment.
So, with this one you may feel a little bit of heat, and you'll mostly
just see a very bright flash.
And a little bit of SPF moisturizer to protect you on the way out.
Thank you.
The big reveal.
Ta-da.
Same thing as last time I feel like, it looks a lot less red, which is I always
think ironic because you're like literally zapping yourself.
I feel like the pores on my nose are like smaller too a little bit.
Well thank you so much for seeing my again.
Thanks for coming back!
I'm so happy to see you too.
You're the best!
My skin looked smoother, clearer, less irritated, less red after
the treatment.
In fact, on my way out, I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror, and
actually did a double take because I was so surprised at how clear my
skin looked without foundation.
So, as you can tell, I really liked it, but I will say that this treatment is
30 minutes and it cost $150, which is a pretty big price jump from the
original laser and light facial, which only cost $65 per treatment, but it's also
only 15 minutes.
So, I would definitely take them into account if you're gonna go.
I think that you know, obviously start off with the laser and light facial.
It's a great treatment, there's no down time, it's so fast, you're in and out,
but there are also other ways that you can exfoliate.
If you wanna see some of my favorite exfoliating products, check out that video
because I shared a few there.
But, all-in-all, I gotta say, the Carbon Peel was really good.
And that is it!
My opinion on the Carbon Facial.
I obviously really, really, liked it.
Please let me know what other treatments, or challenges, or products you'd like me
to try on "Beauty With Mi," down in the comments.
And I will see you guys next week.

Why am I so positive all the time? - Duration: 3:48.
Why am I so positive all the time?
Let's get into it.
Hey everybody and welcome back to another episode of Walk With Me, this is Josh here
and today we're talking about my positivity.
This is something that comes up from time to time in my real life, or in the social
media dm's, so I wanted to take some time to clarify.
Good or bad, there are a lot of things in our lives that we don't have any control over.
There is definitely no doubt, things in my life can be difficult and they can be exhausting
and they can be stressful, and there are a lot of things that I just don't have any control
over.
Obviously this is going to be the same for everybody, but the way I choose to look at
it and the way I choose to see it, I might not have control over those negative things
but I do have control over how I choose to perceive them and how I choose to react.
It's easy to get swept up in a school or a workplace full of negative people that just
want to complain about everything and focus on the negatives.
There are always going to be positives and good things to focus on.
The good versus bad percentages might change over time, but there's always going to be
a positive outlook you can take in any given situation or at least not a negative one and
that's just the way I always try and choose to be.
This is 100% a learned skill so if you're thinking I don't think I could ever get to
that point in my life, I was never in this spot either.
It's something that's learned and practiced over time and obviously still a work in progress
for me too.
You can't get swept up into that negative hive mind of the people that are just trying
to bring themselves down and bring everyone else down with them.
There's a good chance you'll get a lot of resistance and a lot of flac from some people
in your life but that's nothing you should really be worrying about.
You need to focus on yourself and focus on being happy and being positive and appreciating
the good things in your life.
Keep in mind, you're in control of how you react to any situation regardless of how positive
or negative so react the way that you want to feel.
So hopefully this can serve as a little bit of clarification if you're ever wondering
why I stay so positive.
Things in my life obviously aren't perfect all the time.
For as many of those negative things that exist there are just as many if not more positive
things, so that's always what I'm going to choose to focus on.
But that is going to be it for the main topic today, I did have a couple of other things
I wanted to bring up and talk about, I really want to set up a group hike here in Portland.
I would love to know how many of you are in town or near town and would be willing to
travel and do a group hike.
I think this would be a really fun idea for all of us, if we can get enough people I'd
love to get that set up, I think it'd be a lot of fun.
The other thing though that I wanted to bring up, if you haven't yet go sign up for the
newsletter, BFL Monthly, the new issue will be coming out Saturday after this comes out.
It's always on the first of every month.
So if you haven't yet, sign up, I'd greatly appreciate it.
It's been a fun little side project that I've been working on for the last year and a half
or so now.
It's just things that I see around the internet that I think would be of interest to you,
wether it was a podcast episode I heard that was really great or a new TV show I'm watching
or a new Youtuber I just found out about.
So check that out if that's any interest to you, and as usual be sure to subscribe if
you're not already, walk with me comes out every Monday, all sorts of other videos come
out every Friday, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic as a whole so leave
a comment down below let's get a good discussion going, but until next time, I'll talk to you
all later.
Have a good one.

"All I need is my top hair, baby" | Matt Wright - Duration: 1:43.
It's a popular haircut right now.
I see a lot of guys who get haircuts and they cut off all
the hair around the side of their head,
leaving only the top hair, which I imagine
for balding men is infuriating.
(laughter)
So you're walking around, you're having a good day.
You've got your little scope going around,
like "Aaaah, you look fine, Rick".
And then you see some young dude and he's like,
"All I need is my top hair, baby".
And you're like "Damn you!"
It's a different experience for a man
to get a haircut than a woman, you know what I mean?
My girlfriend told me she was getting
her hair cut in May in December.
I was like, "All right, merry Christmas.
"Can we focus?"
(light laughter)
It's just a different thing.
She goes in, she has to find someone she trusts.
My girlfriend ah, has brown hair.
Sometimes she goes and dyes her hair brown.
(laughter)
She's twenty-five years old.
She's not going gray, I don't know
what's going through her head.
She's like "Uuummm, if they're loving me with this chocolate
"do, they're going to love my new gingerbread
"elk hybrid ombre. Whatever. I'm not walking out of here
"without something I can hashtag."
And then she comes in, she be like,
"Notice anything different?"
And I gotta be like, "You have less money."

I Didn't Walk 800m To Prove My Fitness To Anybody, Says Buhari - Duration: 3:08.
President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, on his 800m walk. According to the President, whose walk was described as significant of his fitness to contest re-election, he didn't walk to "prove any fitness to anybody".
He said he came out of the car, which had tinted windows, so that the people could see him. He also restated his determination not to be distracted by politicking.
In a series of tweets via his personal handle, @MBuhari, he said he isn't given to "chasing cheap political points", noting that he "doesn't need to walk to convince anyone" about his health and the decision to seek reelection.
The posts read: "Much has been said about my walk in Daura, a few days ago. I didn't do it to prove my fitness to anybody.
The people of my constituency came out in large numbers to see me and the car in which I was had tinted windows. So I decided to come out of the car so the people could see me.
"People who know me know that I am not given to chasing cheap political points. The crowd in Daura were not seeing me, so I came out of the car so they could see me.
I didn't and don't need to walk to convince anyone about my health and the decision to contest for a second term.".
"I remain very grateful to the people for their enthusiastic reception. And let me say that we will not be distracted by politicking or anything else. The security and welfare of all Nigerians, young, old, female, male, remain our priority.".

Afifeh Fakori, ESSEC Chair of Therapeutic Innovation : "I wanted to learn about a new field" - Duration: 2:03.
One of the reasons I chose ESSEC in the first place was because it has such a
huge diversity in its curriculum, although it's a Master's in Management.
We have the option to learn about many different fields, so I was expecting to
learn something new because therapeutic innovation is completely something new
for me, I never studied anything related to that before so I was looking forward
to learn about a new field.
What made the chair interesting was the fact that we
had different teachers, different speakers in each session and not only
that. Each of the lecturers had a very different approach so for some we had to
do like role-playing activities. For example we did one on internal crisis
management when trying to obtain market authorisation for a new drug so that was
very interesting, then for some we had to do some debates, or for some we had to do
little presentations, for example we had to
come prepared with our own small presentation on neural diseases before
she started her lecture, so it was very diverse each of the sessions and I think
that's what makes the chair very interesting.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this chair to the new students coming to
ESSEC even if the students are coming from different backgrounds and have no
understanding of pharmaceuticals. I think the chair is organized in a very
comprehensive manner and there is something in it for everybody to learn
so I would definitely recommend it.

Crowdfunding Investing [How Peter Thiel Makes 4,000% Return] - Duration: 14:05.
If you think 15% returns on stocks are good, stay tuned because I'm going to show you
how to find investments that earn double that on average and as much as 4,000% for single
investments.
By the time you finish this video, you'll have my top two steps for finding the best
deals in equity crowdfunding investing.
In fact, I used these same steps when I worked as an analyst for venture capital and wealthy
investors.
We're talking crowd investing today on Let's Talk Money.

I'm excited about this video.
This is a world I used to live in but I don't get the chance to talk about it much anymore.
This is something you rarely see in the mainstream investing news and you'll never get an inside
look into the process.
I'm going to start with a quick look at crowdfunding investing, what it is and why
you need these investments in your portfolio.
Then I'll reveal two of the most important steps I used to find the best investments
for the venture capital firms I worked for.
These are two of the steps I share in Investing in the Next Big Thing, How to invest in startups
like an angel investor.
In it, I give you all the tools I developed over more than a decade as an equity analyst
and working for VC firms so I'll leave a link to that in the video description below.
I'm going to reveal the two most important steps to analyzing any equity crowdfunding
deal but let's start with a basic idea of crowd investing and why it could be the most
important investment you ever make.
Investing in startups is nothing new.
Peter Thiel was one of the first private investors in Facebook for about a penny a share in 2004.
When the company went public in its 2012 IPO, Thiel made $2 billion or about 40-times his
money on that ONE SINGLE INVESTMENT!
And that's far from the exception in the world of venture capital investing.
Mike Markula became the first outside investor in Apple in 1977 with a $250,000 stake that
gave him a third of the company.
Just three years later when the company issued shares, HE MADE $203 MILLION!
But you can't get into this kind of investing.
The government says you can't.
Unless you have over $1 million net worth or make over $200 grand a year, you can't
invest in companies until they go public on the stock exchanges.
That is until the 2012 JOBS Act.
This act was designed to make it easier for small businesses to get funding and give regular
investors access to this kind of opportunity.
With this new law came the equity crowdfunding websites like EquityNet, CircleUp and WeFunder.
These sites act as the broker, with early-stage companies posting on the platform for investors
to review.
The process of investing is surprisingly simple so I don't want to spend too much time here,
instead I want to get to those two keys to analyzing the crowdfunding deals.
Because when I say equity crowdfunding investing could be huge, I mean HUGE!
Accredited investors make up just 5% of the population of our great nation.
That means another 58 million households that can invest in these deals.
Research by Willamette University on more than 1,200 early-stage investments over 15
years showed an average return of 160% over any four-year period, that's a 27% annual
return.
That's almost triple the average annual return on stocks and six-times what you'll
earn on bonds.
In fact, look at what that average return on startup investing means to a portfolio
of $10,000 over 20 years versus the average returns in stocks and bonds.
That investment in stocks is barely a blip on the graphic next to the $1 million created
in startup investing.
So I know you're excited.
You want those 27% returns, don't you?
Let's go back to that survey one more time and I'm going to show you why you absolutely
must watch the rest of this video.
Just over half those 1,200 startup investments ended up returning less than the original
investment.
In fact, in my experience as a VC analyst, more than a third of these deals return no
money at all.
Turning a startup into a million- or billion-dollar business is risky and most new businesses
fail.
Just one-in-ten of these deals accounted for 90% of the returns.
Getting those triple-digit returns in crowdfunding investing, finding the next Facebook or Apple,
means being able to weed out those nine-out-of-ten investments that will lose your money.
This isn't sitting in your PJs watching CNBC for a hot stock tip.
This is the kind of investing that creates generational wealth.
That means having a process for finding those winners and knowing how to invest.
The first thing you need is a quick checklist to weed out the losers, the startups that
have little chance at being successful.
As a venture capital analyst, you're taught to be absolutely ruthless.
You're investing millions of other people's money and in an industry where so many investments
flop, you have to be an uncaring SOB or you'll lose money.
That means developing an uncompromising process for picking only the very best startups in
which to invest.
One of the most common reasons startups fail is weak management.
In fact, I know a lot of VC analysts that spend almost all their time studying management
of a company before making that investing decision.
A billion-dollar idea is worthless if the entrepreneurs behind it don't have what
it takes to get the job done.
So if you see any of these warning signs in your potential crowdfunding investing deals,
just run the other way.
Nobody on the team has any industry experience.
Management should have somebody on the founding team, staff or at least in an advisory role
that knows how the industry works.
It's not enough to be a good manager.
Nobody on the team has finance experience.
Maybe this is just my prejudice as a finance guy but I want to see someone at the company
who understands the numbers.
It's ok to be a dreamer but put a number on it for me.
Management has unrealistic assumptions of market share, that's the amount of the market
they think they can sell against competition.
You might have to do some quick math here but if management says the market for their
product is $100 million and they project $10 million in first-year sales, that means 10%
market share.
Most startups see low single-digit market share, like two to three percent max, so anything
above that may just be wishful thinking.
Finally here is if management believes there is no competition for the company's product.
That's just lazy market research on their part.
You may have an innovative product for an underserved niche but there is always competition.
Startups and entrepreneurs are horrible at the numbers.
Honestly, some of the financial projections I got from entrepreneurs looking for funding
were like comedic relief so there's also a couple of warning signs you can look for
in the financials.
First if there's no financial statements and projections at all.
Even the earliest stage company should have projections on costs, a review of money spent
to date and sales estimates for the market size.
One warning sign here that won't apply to all startup investments but maybe a little
more so to crowdfunding investing is if no sales are expected within three years.
There are some industries, especially pharmaceuticals where you've got years of product development
and testing, but for most startups I want to see plans for sales in a few years or sooner.
The company may not be turning a profit yet but I want to see money coming in the door.
You should also compare the projected costs for things like marketing, administration
and other operational items against the financial statements for competitors.
Any company that has stock issued has to file annual financial statements so you should
be able to get a few of these to check against.
Startups might see faster sales growth but they'll also likely pay higher percentages
of those sales to marketing and administration versus those established companies that have
efficiencies of scale.
Using just these seven points is going to help you weed out a lot of those crowd investments
that have no shot at success.
After you've narrowed your list of potential investments, it's time to put a price on
that startup to make sure the return is there on your money.
Most analysts have their favorite method but I've found the best is using a blended approach
with two or three methods.
A big part of this is going back to those sales estimates from the company and coming
up with your own realistic estimates.
I've seen a lot of entrepreneurs try to talk investors into funding simply by the
size of the potential market.
It's usually an attempt to avoid a realistic valuation so they argue that the size of the
market in the billions will support a solid return and you shouldn't worry about how
much you're paying.
That's me calling bullshit because YouTube doesn't like me saying bullshit.
The first way you can value a company is by comparing it to mergers and acquisitions or
M&A deals in the industry.
The fact is that the vast majority, like three-out-of-four successful startup investments you'll make
will be companies that get bought out, not companies that make it to an IPO.
So finding how much other companies are paying for this type of company is very important.
You can usually get a good list of acquisitions just by typing in Google the name of the industry
plus 'M&A' or 'acquisitions'.
A lot of VC firms will even publish lists of acquisitions with averages paid per sales
and earnings.
What you're looking for is how much those companies were bought for relative to their
revenue or sales.
So if I paid $500 for a company making $100 in sales each year, I paid $5 for every dollar
of sales.
Since most startups still aren't profitable by the time they get acquired, measuring this
on sales is something you can do for any company.
You want to put together a list of at least five to ten acquisitions that were made in
the last year and for companies as similar to your target investment as possible.
Then you're going to take all these transaction values per revenue and get an average.
For example, in the analysis here I did when Pinterest was raising money, I compiled a
list of seven acquisitions in the social media space.
It turned out that companies were paying on average $8 for every dollar in revenues and
$61 for every dollar in EBITDA which is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
When I applied that number to the projection of $2.8 billion in sales I got an estimated
valuation of $22.8 billion.
On the valuation of the company at the time, getting that $22.8 billion a few years later
would have been about a 29% annual return.
The second method to estimate your return on crowdfunding investing is going to be comparing
the company's value against competitors with publicly-traded shares.
This is similar to that M&A method but you're looking for how much investors are willing
to pay for companies in the industry.
So here you're looking for similar companies with stock.
You find this on any online investing site, Yahoo Finance or Morningstar by looking for
other companies in the industry.
You then put together your list of the market cap, the company's stock valuation, relative
to sales just like in the last method.
A couple of important notes here.
You see that I find the average, median, high and low values in these lists.
That's to give you a better idea of what's fair and what might be an outlier.
Here we see that at the time, investors were paying 16-times Facebook's sales while they
were only paying an average of 7.7-times for other social media companies.
Clearly it wouldn't be right to use Facebook's valuation to another social media site unless
that site had the same advantages as Facebook.
I also used another measure here which was stock price per monthly active user, or MAU.
This is something you have to develop as an investor, an insight into the important measures
within an industry that are going to help you compare and value investments.
So using the multiple of 7.7-times sales investors were paying for similar companies and using
estimates for future sales on Pinterest, we came to a valuation of $21.8 billion or a
return of about 27% on the current investment offer.
It turned out that both of these methods, the M&A and the Comparables approach, gave
us similar valuations and estimates for return.
It's great when that happens because it gives you more confidence in the future return
on the investment.
Most of the time, they aren't so similar.
When that happens, you can take an average of the two or decide which is a better estimate.
If that average valuation means a solid return in a couple of years then you might just have
a go on your investment.
I don't want you to think these are the only two steps that go into analyzing crowdfunding
investments but they will put you way ahead of other investors in putting your money to
work.
You'll still have a few duds, a few investments that pay nothing, but you'll avoid most
of the bad investments and will find enough that multiply your money by a factor of ten
or more that you'll average out to 30% and higher returns.
If you are serious about getting into this world of venture capital and angel investing,

from researching the market to an investing strategy that puts your money in the best

Hello scale modelers
Wellcome to day eight of our
Wellcome to day eight of our Messerschmitt bf-108 build log.
Messerschmitt bf-108 build log.
Today we are going to continue upgrading our engine
The next step in the process will be to create
the intake manifold of the engine
I will do this using 0.8mm soldering wire.
Next I'll add the middle pipe, but it is thinner
so i am going to use 0.6mm soldering wire
While the intake manifold is drying
I am going to clean up these engine mounts
from the flash that they have
Now, after i removed the flash from the part
I will use Mr.Cement S to melt doun the excess plastic.
Next thing to do is to create a pipe that runs from
this part here to this part here
To recreate the carburator I will use this piece of plastic
and I will drill a hole so I can fit the intake manifold
Now I'll add some details to the top of the carburator
so it doesn't look so simpla and plain
Next I'll have to install the exhaust because I'll have to modify it a little bit
to accomodate another pipe that comes from the exhaust to the intake manifold
Meanwhile, while the exhaust is drying, I will create a pan underneath the engine
Now, let's twist and bend this pipe to position it where it's needed
To help the painting process I will drile a hole and attach a piece of sprue
Now I am going to add the engine braces to the firawall
Now I am going to start adding some details for the throttle mechanism.
I am going to use leftover PE pieces to replicate some of the details I can see on the pictures
And with this we are going to end this episode
Subscribe and push the notification button
so you can get notified about my next episode
which will be about painting and weathering this engine
Untill next time happy modeling

Artificial general intelligence: What it really takes to program the future | Ben Goertzel - Duration: 5:06.
There's aspects, yes.
AGI has aspects of computer science, mathematics, engineering, philosophy of mind, linguistics,
neuroscience.
It's quite cross disciplinary, and the education system isn't really that way.
It's more that way in the U.S. than anywhere else on the planet actually.
That's a strength the U.S. has.
Here as an undergraduate you can at least take courses in every department.
And in many countries that's not true.
But even in the U.S. the education system is not nearly as cross disciplinary as it
should be for grappling with a problem like AGI or with say quantum computing or nanotechnology
or a lot of other cutting edge things.
So what that means is if someone wants to really work in one of these cutting edge topics
that has the highest probability of transforming the world, if they want to work on these things
in the core capacity, they have to take their own time to study a bunch of other fields
that they didn't learn in school.
And that also takes time.
You can't do that by reading a blog post.
I mean you've got to, you know, take out a neuroscience textbook and go through it
step by step.
And not everyone has the patience for that.
But again some people do, and I'd say Coursera, Udacity and MIT, the many universities that
have put their courseware online have been a huge, huge asset in this process because
those help lead people through the process of learning information from all the different
disciplines that they need to attack something like AGI.
We found these online courses incredibly useful in what we've been doing in Ethiopia.
So in 2013 I cofounded with two others Ethiopia's first AI and robotics development company.
So we do some original R&D, some projects aimed at helping the African situation.
Then a bunch of software and robotics outsourcing.
The company is called iCog Labs based in Addis Ababa.
And we have an internship program which we use for recruiting.
So we take dozens of undergrad students each year and what we do is we give them some hands-on
lessons in OpenCog and various other AI tools.
We also have each of them take like seven Coursera courses.
And they go through them very quickly and they teach them neuroscience, computational
linguistics, bioinformatics, machine learning, a bunch of topics that are not offered in
the university there.
And this works much better than giving them a bunch of textbooks to read because it gives
them a process and a community to enter into.
It not only teaches them information but it weeds out people who don't have the persistence
to slog through stuff from a bunch of different disciplines and really stretch their brain
in a deeper cross disciplinary way.
So yeah, I'd say, as with everything else there's pluses and minuses all tangled up,
right?
I mean the modern way of doing things in some ways eliminates people's attention span
because nobody has to think for themselves.
They immediately look up the answer on the internet or download something instead of
trying to solve a problem themselves.
On the other hand there's so much high quality educational material out there together with
supportive communities for people who do want to plunge in deeper and get a more foundational
understanding.
But what we do in OpenCog is we've worked out a system where each of the cognitive processes
can help the other one out when it gets stuck in some combinatorial explosion problem.
So if a deep neural network trying to perceive things gets confused because it's dark or
it's looking at something it never saw before, well maybe the reasoning engine can come in
and do some inference to cut through that confusion.
If logical reasoning is getting confused and doesn't know what step to take next because
there's just so many possibilities out there and not much information about them, well,
maybe you fish into your sensory motor memory and you use deep learning to visualize something
you saw before, and that gives you a clue of how to pare through the may possibilities
that the logic engine is seeing.
Now you can model this kind of cognitive synergy mathematically using a branch of mathematics
called category theory, which is something I've been working on lately.
But what's really interesting more so is to build a system that manifests this and
achieves general intelligence as a result, and that's what we're doing in the OpenCog
project.

How To Handle A Difficult Colleague At Work - Duration: 7:30.
No, probably you don't have anyone difficult to work with. How do you handle
a difficult colleague at work? I've had about 24 years of experiences as
psychologist. And I'm still really bad at changing people. Because it's not me.
I can influence, I can teach principle, yes. But in terms of actually changing
somebody else, you've probably heard the joke, haven't you, about how many
psychologists does it take to change a lightbulb? Well, only one but it takes a
really long time. It's really expensive and the lightbulb has to want to change.
That's the dilemma right there. People don't have the power to change other
people. I can't tell you how many times I've sat here in my office and had a
couple and she wants to change him or he wants to change her. The same thing
happens at work. So, as we deal with this topic, "How to handle a difficult
colleague at work?" Let's just start with that disclaimer. We're not going to change
them. So, everything that changes has to be here. It has to be internal. Inside of
us. Something that we can actually control. We'll shift our focus there and
we're likely to have a whole lot less frustration as we get into this. 3
tips for you on what you can do. And the first of these 3 tips is, change your
goal. It's tempting to get into that trap of thinking. You know, what if they would
just do something differently? Then things would be better for me. Yeah.
Tempting and it's probably even true and accurate. If they would change that thing
in shape up, things would be better for you. That's true but it's not helpful. And
it puts you in a position where you're more likely to come across this critical
or demeaning or judgmental or demanding. So, change your goal means what else
could you accomplish as a goal with your colleague? So for example, my goal today
is to learn something from that person. Think of your colleague, that one that's
driving you nuts. "What can I learn today from them?" And I
guarantee, you can learn something from every citizen of this planet. So, turning
your mind on to that helps to change the energy. Another example of changing your
goal is to enjoy them. Wait, what? Is that even possible? I think it is. I remember
someone back in high school who just irritated and annoyed most of my class. I
kind of enjoyed this person. And somebody approached me about that once. What is it?
Why? Why do you seem to not be annoyed by him? I enjoy him. I think it's fascinating
to watch some of the little antics that he does. See? So, it's it's a changing of
goal and focus. Another goal you might have along those same lines is simply to
observe for them. You don't have to get along, you don't have to even enjoy them.
But what if your goal were to observe them and be curious. That's a whole
different goal. And it changes your energy. That's the whole point.
What do you control? You might even make it an experiment. The pressure's off. You
are simply conducting a study. An experiment to see what happens. That
takes the pressure off. So, changing your goal then just becomes part of the
experiment. Alright that leads me right into tip number 2. Change your focus. I
have a friend who puts it this way, "What you focus on, you feel." I think that is so
true. What is your focus with this person? So
it ties in to changing your goal. But more specifically, how am I seeing this?
What is it that I'm seeing or looking for? Changing your focus might be that
you simply find the funny. As a professional speaker, I am always on the
lookout for funny stuff. You know, the idiotic sometimes routine
or occasionally annoying things that people do. Well that becomes pretty good
content for comedy. Find the funny. You can do
that if you change your focus. Here's another example of a focus change. Find
the superpower. Wait, this is someone who annoys you? Or someone who's difficult or
challenging? A colleague at work? Do they have a superpower? What if we just assume
that everyone does and your focus is to try to find that superpower.
If you can't do anything else, maybe their superpower is annoying you. Okay.
But let's not stop there. Let's look farther and beyond that. To
dig inside of it a little bit and see if we can find that person's superpower.
What are they really good at? Here's another one and this will increase your
empathy. As we talk about changing your focus. Most people show up with
irritating or annoying behaviors because of pain.--
Their pain. And you do this too when you're in significant pain, you probably
show up a little bit differently. And maybe you're annoying some people, too.
Let's stay open to that. Find the pain. What's that person's pain point? What is
it that has them showing up this way? What changes you? Your empathy increases,
your sensitivity, your kindness, your compassion. I'll come to the surface more
when you change your focus. Find the pain. Now, I've got one more tip for you. Number
3, change your tactics. This has to do with your behavior. What is it that
you're doing? How are you showing up? Add this to the experiment. This is kind of
fun actually. What if your experiment were to simply smile at that person. At
least 5 times today. Smile at least 5 times. They're going to
wonder what the heck you're up to, right? Probably.
But don't worry about that. Let's just see what that changes in the interaction
and how you feel and how you're able to deal with this challenging colleague at
work. Another example of changing the tactics? Say, yes. Yes has some magical
power and you can use it even if you don't agree. Yes might mean, "I'm listening."
Yes might be a greeting. Yes can be used almost in any response even if you don't
agree. Meaning, "Yes ,I'm listening to you." Okay?
Lead with yes. Throw that into the experiment and see what happens. We don't
control other people. But dealing with a challenging colleague at work. It's
totally doable when we change our goal, change our focus and change our tactics.
I'm glad you found this video. If you're new here to the channel, take a moment to

How To Do YouTube Video SEO - Duration: 16:20.
Alright, so, you saw the title of this video. We're talking keyword research and
S-E-O for YouTube videos. How do you do it? We're going to demonstrate. Well, he will.
Yeah, I'll demonstrate. We're going to get down and dirty today. We're
going to get right in, hands-on. Well, not dirty. It's just a saying. Relax.
Talking about how to do S-E-O for YouTube videos. And I mean I just said that and
it sounded like I knew what I was even talking about. But honestly, I mean, I know
S-E-O stands for Search Engine Optimization. But tell me what it is
you're going to do for us. Okay, YouTube allows us to do search engine
optimization in a much easier way. So, let me just preface it by that. It's a
lot easier than the the S-E-O of the past. And it works way better, it gets way
better results. So, I want to explain S-E-O and kind of take you through the YouTube
S-E-O process that I do. And kind of explain the end goal of what you're
trying to do with it. And then I'm going to demonstrate. So, I'm going to grab my laptop
here and demonstrate how to do it. But I'm confident that if I explain this
first then when you do it, it'll make a lot more sense and you'll
actually get the results. I've taught this for years and hundreds of
times. So, I've got to teach it first. So, let me share kind of a little visual or
maybe an analogy, okay? So, picture a tree. You've got a trunk, you've got branches,
(Okay) branches that gets thinner and then at
the end, you've got leaves. The leaves are what we want, okay? And we're talking... When
we do keyword research to find topics, we want to find the leaves. We don't
want to make videos that are on the trunk or on the branches. We want to go
out to the leaves, okay? So, an example would be, we're going to use the push up
example, okay? If the push ups... That category... You mean, that literal? Physical
Push-ups? Okay. You're a push up expert, obviously. Well, clearly. And if we're going to make
a video on our videos on push-ups, we don't just want to say push-ups by Scott
Christopher. Right. Okay, that would be the trunk. That's the trunk. That's the trunk.
A branch might be, "How to do push-ups well." Okay. That might be a branch.
It's getting more specific. Right, yes. But a leaf might be... And I've got some examples
here, okay? Okay. So, these this is going to be a very specific term? Yes. And I've got
a list of several of them. Let me explain this part. You want to create videos on
several different types of leaves because one branch will have a variety
of leaves. And if you rank each video, each leaf topic video, eventually your
branch will rank. And you will compete on YouTube. Maybe even the trunk.
Like for one of my channels, we do rank for real estate investing. That would be
a trunk. And that's a very trunk term.
Because there's going to... But we do that in the
beginning. Yeah. I've created hundreds of leaf videos. So, here's some examples on. So, work
backwards almost, really? Right. That's what you want to do. You want to work backwards.
Okay, so that's the goal. Here are some examples of push-ups. "How to do a perfect
push-up for beginners." Nice. The next video would be, "Does the perfect push-up really
work?" That could be a whole separate video talking about the results you get
from it. The third one, "What muscles does the perfect push-up work?" And these are
leaf. Leaf, leaves. Each of these will be the leaf in topic video. Because they're drilled down.
Did a little more specific than just how to do a good push-up? Yeah. Yeah. Okay,
another example. The perfect push-up 30-day challenge. So, you can have a video
about that. It talks about... For Filipinos? That would be even more specific? That would be like a way
way down. But what Filipinos do it differently than Utahns? So, let's ask this
Filipinos watching right now. Yeah. My team are Filipinos. See, that's what I'm saying. Hi!
So, another one. How to do the perfect diamond push-up? In Manila. I'm just messing. No,
you're good, I'm just going this is all the entertainment value. That's why he's
here. How to do the perfect one-arm push-up? Okay.
Wow, that might... Well, I was because I was automatically thinking of just one-armed
people. But you're right. Two aren't people still do want to push-ups like
rocky. Not me. But, yeah. Oh, gosh, no. I mean... One day. Just a visual quick, quick visual.
We've got 2 more push-up videos that I could create here. Leaves, okay?
The perfect push-up routine or how do the perfect push-up routine. That
starts to feel a little branchy to me. Maybe. I don't know.
See, it's all... Here's a way to tell it. If you go to YouTube and you
type it and see how many other videos have that phrase in their title, and
keep going until... Yeah, there's none there. You want to find these leaf long phrase
topics that other people aren't using or that are being very rarely used. Now, you
may be answering this, I'm not sure coming up or whatever. Because I can't
read your mind. But if you do a long leaf type title or whatever. If you get really,
really specific and you get an exact match, you're the only video out there
for sure. But does it also capture less? You know what I'm saying? Like, if you say
"How to do the perfect diamond push-up in Milan or in wherever in Manila." Will you
at least still get some hits on how to do the perfect diamond push-up?
But if something happens to say in Manila, you're definitely getting that.
The answer is yes, eventually. If you make several videos like this. So, the whole
reason I'm having a list... So, I've got 8 here. The 8Th one was how not to
do push-ups or something. You know, (Yeah) "How not to do push-ups
perfectly." Maybe but I don't know. I did search for that. How not to do push-ups.
Well, you don't want to get injured. Yeah. Okay, there we go. So, if
you're going to make 8 videos that are all leaf topics but they all say, you
know, "How to do the perfect push-up?" Then eventually, a rank for that or the phrase
perfect push-up. You'll be known as the perfect push-up man. That's your channel.
Yeah, perfect push-ups channel. So, you do want... It's not that you don't want to
rank for the trunk or for these branches but by targeting the trunks of
the branches, you're not going get there. But by targeting the leaves, you'll rank
for the leave topics immediately. And then over time, you'll rank for the small
branches. Then eventually the big branches, the trunk. Okay, now do you
believe that you've laid down enough theory for us that we can start building for execution?
I think so. Let's jump in and show you how to find the branches that lead
to the leaves. Beautiful. Alright. So, we're going to demonstrate it for you now.
And Scott here suggested that we do motorcycle repair. So, let's say Scott
wants to make motorcycle repair videos. I think this will be an easy one to really
demonstrate how to get to the branches and the leaves. There's a lot a
lot of places you can go. And if you were to make a video on, you know, motorcycle
repair video 1. And then motorcycle repair video 2. Pretty, pretty trunky.
Yeah. Pretty Trunky. I like that. I'm going to show you 3 different tools. This
one here is called the "Keyword researcher." It's a tool that you pay once
for it. I believe it's 50 bucks from a company called Clever Gizmos. And then
you download it. There's another tool that is free. This one is called the
Keyword Planner. It's a Google AdWords tool. You do have to have a Google
AdWords account. But then the tool is free. And we'll start here. But I want to
show you what the other tool, is the third one. It's by Moz and we'll come
here. You come here to free S-E-O tools. And you start here. We'll just type in
motorcycle repair. Let me just demonstrate this and while we're here.
It's actually a pretty simple tool.
Take off the space there. Alright. So, once you bring this up, it's actually
good to come to keyword suggestions. And then, in this drop-down menu, I like going
to our questions. So, it's giving you keyword suggestions that aren't
questions. Yeah. So, what's great about this is it's how
to service a motorcycle? How to fix motorcycles? How to service motorcycle
Forks. That's that's getting more leafy. That's more leafy or branchy. Yeah. How
does service motorcycle rear shock. So, these are getting more specific. And this
will give you ideas of different branches for sure. And sometimes even
some leaves. I mean, what is a fender eliminator kit on a motorcycle? That is
definitely a leaf. Right. It does say here "no data" meaning, we might want to tweak
that. But that... Because we want to make sure that it is searchable. We want to
use a phrase that people are searching for. So, we want to find really specific
titles. But we can't forget search. Even if it's just, you know, 50 searches per
month. That means that people are actually typing in this exact phrase. And
we don't know about this one. So, let me use this as an example. I'll copy that.
Let's take it over to the keyword planner. I can paste it right here and
hit get search volume. And it tells us, you know what? It actually does get
searched 10 times a month. Now, that doesn't sound too impressive. And when I
teach people about keyword research, they always want to go after
the phrases that have a thousand or 10,000 Yeah. Greedy. "Ooh, this one
has a hundred thousand." Yeah. But guess what? I don't know. You're not going to get
ranked for those ones. Because the more competitive ones, there the more branch
phrase topics anyway and they're more competitive. And if you're brand new to
motorcycle repair, you create a video on on that topic. It's not going to rank day
one. This one right here. And it's a bridge. So, I can't see what was it. "What
is a fender eliminator kit on a motorcycle?" would be a fantastic video if
if that would be a video that matches what you want to teach. So, if this
content, that would be a fantastic video. You know why? Because you're going to rank
number one, day one. It's a perfect leaf. And
it's an easy specific one to make. I mean you're just making a video that's
answering that question. Maybe you have one, you can show them. You can
demonstrate, you know, how to put it on. That would become the title of my video?
Absolutely. Okay. And what I also put that in the
description of the video or what I want to save that space for something that
might double up my chances. In the first couple lines of the description, you want
to include this. It doesn't have to be worded the exact same way. But I mean the
way this is worded is pretty natural. Yes. But in your description, it's like, "In
this video, I show you what a Fender elimination kit for a motorcycle is. I
show you how to install it." So, you actually, you know, write a real
description. Got you. But, yeah, include those words
in it. This exact phrase not only is it your title but you also want to put
it in as a key word that just helps them to know know. And you're going to want
to say this in your video. You know, the answer while you're talking. That's
really important. So, in the video, you're going to be saying, "So what is a fender
eliminator kit on a motorcycle? Well, here's one right here.
This is how you install it. Alright, I'm going to grab my motorcycle. Let me grab the
fender eliminator kit. Now, why is it important that you actually say it?
YouTube will transcribe your videos and will find the words and make sure it
matches your title. Make sure it matches your key word and the description. No way. They do that?
Serious business. Wow. So, anything you put out there, they're
transcribing? Oh, yeah. Aren't you glad that YouTube does this? Very glad. The
reason that I am glad is well... Is because I know that when I find a video... If
YouTube's going to recommend a video to me, I know what it's going to be about because
YouTube verifies it from all different angles and they're suggesting it to me
because they know the types of videos that I like. Isn't that interesting.
You can't cheat YouTube. Don't try and cheat YouTube. There's probably ways you
can but why would you want? Yeah, exactly. They're giving you, I mean, all these
tools that are available out there. And this one now. This one was the free one
or was this one with... This one... You can Do the others work about basically the
same way as this one does? Each tool is this is unique. This one is simple. And it's
easy to use. But if you use it more than a few times a month, you do have to pay.
So and it's a monthly subscription and it's not cheap. The keyword planner from
the Google AdWords account, this is free and I use this one all
the time. Let me show you another way that you can
use this tool. I'm going to come up here to modify search. And instead of get
search volume, I'm going to go to find new keywords or search for new keyword. So,
I'll type in motorcycle repair. So, what I'm going to look for first and then I'll
demonstrate how to use that first tool I have showed you the keyword. Keyword
researcher. What I'm looking for now is actually branches that I haven't thought
of. Okay, so motorcycle repair shops. Maybe
not applicable to my YouTube channel. Motorcycle service, repair near, mechanic
near, motorcycle parts, cheap motorcycle parts. So, these are just broken into
different categories. Let's just try. We'll do Harley. I didn't think of that.
Maybe we could make video specific to Harley. How are they mechanics. Hmm. Makes
me at least gives me the idea of... Oh there's Harley repair right there. So,
if we come in here, Harley-Davidson motorcycle repair. We're going to take that
phrase over to the keyword researcher. And I can put in an asterisk before it.
And I'll add it again... And I'm also just going to add in a couple other versions. I'm
going to just get rid of the word motorcycle. So, watch what this tool does.
Alright. So, I've got in those that look criteria. They're what I want it to look
for. And I hit play and now it starts searching all of the search queries that
people use on Google and other search engines. And it just finds lots and lots
of examples. It pauses sometimes, so that it doesn't offend the search engines. And
these are all the things that people have typed in, searching. Alright. So, we
finished there. If I hit this button here ad to master list, we see there's 470.
I'm going to hit cleanup because there might be some duplicates.
Okay. And that that took us down to 267, okay? If I hit select all and then I hit
the keys, Ctrl copy or command C for copy. So, now I've got that in my clipboard. And
if I come back here to the keyword planner, go to modify search and go down
to the second one. Get search volume data. Okay, so I can paste in up to a thousand
different phrases here. And then if I hit get search volume. It does its thinking.
And we need to go to the keyword ideas tab. Alright. So, these are all the
phrases that we typed in. It says, "Here all 265 are here." And we can sort it by... I
think it already was but average monthly searches. And you can check the phrases.
Harley-Davidson repair shops near me. I don't know if
that's a video that I want to check. But you know what? The easier way, I'm going to
come here to download, save to Google Drive, hit download, wait a moment and
then open file. Now, this is a lot more user-friendly. It gives me a whole bunch
of data. I only need 2 columns. Let me grab that one and move it. The 2
columns I want are the columns with the key words in it. And the column with the
average monthly search volume. And I want to look at any phrase starting here and
above. Any phrase that has ten searches or more above. So, I can just go through
this list now and a lot of these are going to be great leaf topics. Interesting.
Harley-Davidson odometer repair. Yeah. Those are very leafy. Yeah. "Are they Davidson Golf
Cart repair?" Yeah, even though... Golf cart, that's interesting. Even though
those are shorter, meaning, this one's only 4 words long.
Hardly-Davidson odometer repair. That's pretty specific. It's a specific type of
Motorcycle. Odometer repair. So, that's something going to be a leaf topic. Most of my
clients have the same type of reaction. It's like, the steps are kind of simple
once you know the end goal. You want to find the leaf topics. Here's all the
tools you can use. But then you're like, "Ah, but this sounds boring." And I agree. I
don't necessarily enjoy this. That's why I have employees that do a
fantastic job. Oh good for you. And we do this for my clients. So, my clients help
me with the topic brainstorm but then we'll go and we'll do all the keyword
research for them. So, can I just have you come over to my house and do this for me?
Or can you do it here? I'll let my team. I'll let my team. Maybe we can do a topic
brainstorm over the phone. Okay. Easy. So, I could do this
with you for distance? I never have to leave... We just chat or you can... We can share...
Anyway, it means that you can, too. That's the connection there. See.
But now that this video is over and you watch this far, you might as well
subscribe. Might as well. And see you in the next video. Good

Topic today is gonna be artificial intelligence.
I do need a volunteer for a note-taker.
Yeah? Okay. This notepad, right here,
you can just dictate into it.
Good acting. Sold it.
So, the first question for today is,
"How would you define artificial intelligence?"
It's man-made...
...computerized.
I think of robotics when I think of artificial intelligence.
I think it's in many different, like, platforms now.
We have it in our cellphones, now.
I don't know.

Easy Girls Skirt Tutorial (Free Pattern) - Duration: 4:21.
Hi i'm Angel with fleecefun.com
And today I'm going to show you how to make this really cute knit midi skirt. It's fun. It's fast.
It's comfortable and I have to say it's a pretty awesome easy pattern.
For this project you will need the following. You will need one yard of jersey knit fabric with a 50 percent stretch
Sewing essentials like pins needles thread that sort of thing
Alright, once you've gathered up all those materials it's time to get started
And normally I just say sewing essentials and we move on
But I want to make sure that you understand when you're working with knits
One of those sewing essentials is a ballpoint needle. So important for success when you're working with knits, make sure that you have it.
They're not that expensive
Also when we're finishing up the hem I'm using
A double needle and you know, well, it's not something you might use a lot it makes that edge looks so beautiful
And so professional. Definitely worth learning how to use a double needle. All right, let's get sewing
You will need to assemble the free sewing pattern
Select the size that you want to sew and cut the pattern down to that size. It correlates with color
Make sure that when you're cutting out the pattern most of the stretch is going across the skirt and the waistband.
On the fold cut two of the midi skirt bottom
On the fold cut one of the waistband
With the right sides together sew the sides of the midi skirt using a 3/8 seam allowance. Be sure to use a stretch stitch
For best results. So from the top of the skirt to the bottom
All right now that we've sewn the sides of the skirt, let's work on the waistband
Fold the waistband in half. So the shorter sides are touching right sides together and sew
All right now it's time to bring the waistband and the skirt together
Make sure that you line up that seam on the waistband with one of the side seams of the skirt
Get the skirt and the waistband leave the skirt inside-out
Take the waistband top fold it down. So it touches the bottom folding it in half making it
So the fabric is right side out on the outer band and inner band
Place the band inside the skirt lining up the raw edges of the bottom of the band
With the raw edges of the top of the skirt
Line up the seam of the waistband to one of the side seams of the skirt
Sew together using a 3/8 seam allowance all
Right, let's just hem up the bottom and we're almost there
Fold up the bottom of the skirt 1 inch press and then pin
Turn right side out
Top stitch the hem in place with the double needle
You just finished the girls skirt pattern tutorial

Fazan & Liska | Artist Resin model horse review - Duration: 5:25.
Hi everybody! It's Ula here.
And today I have a very special review for you!
Anna Dobrowolska-Oczko of Horse and Bird Studio
has sent me two of her newest resin horses.
These are Fazan & Liska. I fell for them
since I saw early prototypes photos on Instagram
Anna, thank you with all of my heart
for such a wonderful gift!
The models arrived in big, white box
with a Horse and Bird logo on it
They were packaged very profesionally
with loads of stereofoam filling
And wrapped in bubblewrap
That made them arrive safely from the Netherlands!
They came along with an envelope
containing a certificate of authenticity.
The certificate itself
has a beautiful artwork depicting the models
And some informations and copy number
on the other side.
Fazan and Liska are meant to be
a lipizanner mare and foal in 1:20 scale
Just like many other Horse and Bird's horses
They're named after certain bird spieces!
liska and fazan mean
baldicoot and pheasant in slovenian!
They're being sold as a set only.
I recieved prepped copies of the models
which means the're basically
ready to be painted!
Here's a comparison with an example of raw copy.
It has some seams and excess resin
that appeared during the casting process
I'm so glad my ponies are already prepped!
The models are of similar size
as standard Schleich and CollectA horse.
The mare is really short!
She looks tiny next to Snegir
which is also sculpted by Anna.
If you're curious, they're still pretty far from stablemates scale.
And a Micro Mini!
Liska is captured in a very interesting pose:
A horse shaking dust off its body.
Even though she stands still
she's still very dynamic and lively.
She's not painted yet but she's stunningly realistic.
The amount of detail put on such a small model is really impressive!
But at the same time, it's not an overkill!
Oh, just look at this cute muzzle!
When it comes to measurements Liska is 8cm (3.15") tall at the withers
16cm (6.3") from nose to tail
and 8.5cm (3.35") from hooves to ears.
Fazan, probably Liska's son
is also a very lively sculpture.
This is another interesting pose:
He looks like he's trying to ecnourage someone to play along
with a playful face expression and his head held high.
His skinny little leggies are just too adorable!
Fazan's details are just as amusing as his mom's
even though he's a lot smaller.
This is how Fazan looks nex to CollectA and Schleich foals.
And next to his uncle, Snegir!
The foal is 6.5cm (2.5") at the withers
8.5cm (3.35") from nose to tail
And 9.5cm (3.7") from hooves to ears.
Honestly, there aren't too many artist resin horses out there
which I adore as much as these two!
There's something special about Anna's sculptures
I don't know what it is extacly but I really love it!
I'm not sure whether it's about interesting poses,
sculpting skills, beautifull details or the heart she puts into her works
but I know one thing for sure: Fazan and Liska are now a part of my collection
and I'm really happy I can show them to you!
Once again, than you for these models, Anna!
I highly recommend checking out Horse and Bird's website and models!
Thanks for watching, everybody!
See you in other videos!

FREE KPOP MERCHANDISE you get in Korea? Kpop Fans HEAVEN!! - Duration: 5:24.
Hello everyone! This is Lara
Korea is a fantastic place to live for Kpop fans
Let me tell you the reason
If you are a fan of Kpop, and you came to Korea
or a K-drama fan
You'll feel like you are in heaven
Every place is playing Kpop music tracks
For example: cafes, cosmetic stores, clothing stores
Many of them play Kpop songs
But this is not a thing I want to tell you today
Fan signing, events, concerts.... etc What every Kpop fan wants
are happening in Korea EVERY WEEK!
All these are normal and basic
But what I want to tell you today is
there are so many chances that you can get Kpop merchandise
For example, I did the BTS giveaway several weeks ago
Just like that
even if you just stopped by the cosmetics store to buy cosmetics
you might find BTS collaboration cosmetic items
Or if you bought clothes in the random clothing store,
you might get the idol merchandise
because the idol is the model of that brand
so I prepared few things to show you
Firstly, I'll show you the BTS cosmetics that I will send to the giveaway winners
I went to the cosmetics store and found this
and I thought 'Woowoos will love these so much.'
and I did the giveaway
These are the things I bought from that cosmetics store
BTS photo cards were free
I bought nail stickers too
Next, I've got this for presents
You know, if you buy Seventeen's album, there's a photo card in it
and really big fans of Seventeen usually buy hundreds of albums
to collect every photo card!
and my friend bought 100 albums
and collected all the photo cards
and they gave me 15 albums for gifts
Let me show you
There are three colors of Seventeen albums
Just like I said, there's no photo card.
It should be here,
but it's empty because she took it
In other albums too
No photo card!
But still there's a CD and a lyrics card
Also the mini album!
It has many pictures in it
So pretty~
She gave it to me because she knows I have a YouTube channel
and said give these albums to my viewers if they like Seventeen
so I'm thinking to do the giveaway again
Seventeen giveaway is coming soon~
But in order to ship this abroad,
The cheapest shipping price to Brazil was like..... 35,000won = $35 = 127BRL
So for one album, shipping costs 35,000won
and I have 15 albums......
so I should figure out the best way to do the giveaway
and if I figure it out, I'll tell you later
Please wait :D
For last! This happened when I was shopping with my family
and I wanted to my clothes
If you already follow my Instagram, you would know what I'm talking about
I bought clothes, and when I received it,
We all laughed so hard
because they put my clothes in this plastic bag
Can you see?
It's the Kang Daniel shopping bag
In the other side.....
The other picture of him is there
There even is the autograph!
Kang Daniel's autograph and his face
This is huge
I had to carry this all day
and so many people stared at me
I heard that people who like Kang Daniel
they buy clothes in that brand to get the shopping bag!
Anyway, I also would like to give this to one of you
I really don't want to throw this away....
You know! It's a rare Kang Daniel shopping bag!
But there's one problem
Since I bought a winter jumper,
this handle part is stretched out
but still! If you feel like you want it anyway,
Please tell me in the comments
I'm hesitating because this is the used one
"I don't care about the stretch. I DO want Kang Daniel!"
if you think like this, tell me in the comments
so that I can think of the giveaway
Anyway, Korea is definitely a perfect place to live for Kpop fans
Kpop merchandise will be filled up in your house everyday
One day, if I can really meet you all
or if I can figure out how to ship these to use efficiently
I will give all of these to you
Also all the Kpop things I receive in the future
will be ALL yours too!
So please, visit my channel often
and hang out with me in everywhere
If you have a twitter or an Instagram account, please follow me
There's one important NEWS!
I suppose that you would have tons of questions about Korea
I will receive all those questions only in my Twitter account this week
I will receive questions ONLY on Twitter
so make sure to follow me on Twitter and tweet me questions
I will choose some questions
and make a Youtube video to answer
If you liked the video, give me likes
Please share my videos with your friends!
See you next time! Bye Bye~

iRig Stomp I/O - Riccardo Gioggi - Duration: 5:03.
Hi, I'm Riccardo Gioggi, welcome to my studio.
Today I want to talk to you about a brand new product from IK Multimedia:
please welcome the iRIG STOMP I/O.
The iRig STOMP I/O is a USB controller/pedalboard,
and a high resolution audio interface.
It requires tha last AmpliTube version: the 4.6 update,
which allows you to interact with the iRig STOMP I/O
controller and interface.
iRig STOMP I/O is very easy to use:
Just connect it to your Mac or PC with a simple USB cable,
confirm the connection request on the screen
and you're ready to go.
Moreover:
in order to use iRig STOMP I/O in every situation,
you can use it with mobile devices as well.
It works with iPhone, iPad and Windows Tablet
and also in standalone.
Besides the AmpliTube 4 software
you can also use it with AmpliTube Acoustic and - for you singers out there
with Vocal Live, also from IK Multimedia.
It also operates standalone mode
as a MIDI controller it can be used to control external hardware devices.
Let's check the iRig STOMP I/O:
when used as a AmpliTube controller
it allows you to use 128 presets.
The sounds are organized in Banks - each bank has 4 presets.
You can select each Bank by pressing switch 1 for Bank Down
or by pressing switch 2 for Bank Up.
iRig STOMP I/O has two main operating modes:
Preset Mode and Stomp Mode.
Preset Mode is the default one.
As the name suggests, it lets you use and change on the fly
between preset chains already created.
Stomp Mode allows you to turn ON and OFF
the single pedals in front of the amp.
You can activate the Stomp Mode by pressing simoultaneously
switch 3 and 4.
iRig STOMP I/O has other cool features I want to talk to you about:
there is an Expression Pedal, a Tap Tempo function,
a Tuner and a Looper.
Let's check each of this functions one by one.
The Expression Pedal:
of course you can use it as a Wah pedal,
as I did use it in the opening song of this video,
or, you can assign to it any parameter of the amp or stomps.
For example, you can use it as a Volume pedal,
or you can assign to it the Feedback control of your delay pedal,
or the overall reverb amount,
or the gain amount of an overdrive pedal.
You can assign to it any parameter you want to control by foot.
If a single Expression Pedal isn't enough for you,
no problem,
you can plug to the iRig STOMP I/O two external Expression Pedals.
This allows you to use up to three Expression Pedals.
The tuner: it's very precise and easy to read.
Is accessed by pressing and holding the third switch.
The Tap Tempo mode: useful in order to set your delay in real time while you're playing.
Press and hold switch 4 for activate the Tap Tempo.
Last but not least, the Looper:
You can activate it by pressing and holding simoultaneously switch 1 and 2.
If you are looking for a convenient, easy-to-carry, and effective way
for taking AmpliTube on stage, on rehearsals,
or when performing,
iRig STOMP I/O is definitely a great solution.
Moreover, it's a cool audio interface:
you can use it in a lot different situations.
Thank you for watching this iRig STOMP I/O talk.
Subscribe to my YouTube channel if you liked the video,
put a Like and share it.
Thanks again, see ya in the next video!

PAIN in the KNEE - What to DO? - Part 2 - Duration: 6:29.
Hello, here is Patricia Andersen from Saúde Minuto, and continuing our series on knee pain,
today I'm going to talk about the importance of stretching and give the tips of how you can complement
your series of strengthening.
If you didn't watch the first part of this video, click here.
And let's get started!
We hear a lot about stretching, the importance of it.
But do you know what stretching is? Do you know why is important?
Our muscles are made up of small muscle fibers, which have the capacity
of sliding, one on top of the other. And this slip, is what allows our contraction
and stretching movements. And it is this "contract/relax" that allows us to produce all the movements
of our body. I mean, stretching is half of all that work,
so it's pretty important, isn't it ?!
Nowadays, the longer we get older, the more sedentary we usually get.
And this lack of movement, makes our muscles shorten.
That is, these fibers lose the ability to slide one over the other.
And we get the muscle as if it lacked "oil", it gets "stuck".
And then we begin to feel the difficulties. Whether to lower to tie the shoe,
to sit on the floor with legs outstretched.
The posture starts to get weird. That is, it starts to hurt everything.
In the case of our knees, the muscles that predominate,
are the knee extensors and flexors. Which are the quadriceps and the hamstrings
But, the hip abductors and adductors also help stabilizing this joint.
That is why it is important not only to strengthen them, but also, to lengthen them.
So let's stretch!
Since this is a complement to the strengthening exercises, you can also do
in your bed, before getting up, or at night, a little before going to sleep.
You can do it any time you want, at a time that is most convenient for you.
What you can not let happen, is to extrapolate your limits.
Pain is not stretching, okay? Stretching is a unique sensation.
The pain usually indicates that you are doing something wrong,
or else that you are overloading your body.
First, the flexors.
Lying belly up, you can use a band, a towel, whatever is available.
With both legs extended, you raise one, and pull your toes down,
always keeping the knee extended. You should feel stretching throughout
the back of the thigh and leg. Stay in this position for at least
30 seconds and then switch legs. Pay close attention to the thigh that is on the floor.
It should not lose contact with mat. If necessary,
lower elongated leg until it touches the floor again.
If you feel pain in your lower back, you can keep the resting leg flexed.
Second, hip abductors.
Here you can keep a leg stretched or bent, as you see fit.
The other leg, which will be elongated, always extended, with toes pulled down.
And with the arm on the opposite side, you will pull that leg to the inside.
You should feel the stretching, on the entire outer lateral side of your thigh.
Beware, you should not lift your butt off the floor. If it is raised,
return the leg slightly until it is supported again.
Your arms should also not be stressed, relax.
Do not forget to change the leg, keeping for 30 seconds, in each one.
Third, hip adductors.
The same posture of the previous elongation, with one leg stretched or flexed, and the other
stretched, pulling the fingers down.
Now you're going to take the leg out with your arm on the same side.
Feeling the stretch on the inside of your thigh.
The same care here as well. The butt should not lift from the floor,
and the arms should be relaxed. Another 30 seconds for each leg.
Fourth, and lastly, knee extensors. Quadriceps
Now, you will lie down with your belly and you can continue to use the
band or use your hands, as you think better.
In this position, one leg will remain on the floor, while the other, flexed toward the butt.
Stretching the front of the thigh.
Hold for 30 seconds, then repeat on the other side.
Here, you should be careful not to raise your pelvis off the floor, that is,
the bones must always be in contact with the mat.
If you feel any discomfort in your knee in this position,
try putting a thin cushion, or a folded towel, behind your knee.
And so, you complement the strengthening of your knee and maintains a much healthier joint.
Next week, I'll be talking about proprioception, and explaining, what is this,
and why it is so important to work with it, especially in prevention, the pre and postoperative knee,
and also in the more conservative treatments.
Thank you very much if you watched this video. If you enjoyed it, do not forget to give your like
and also subscribe to the channel to receive notifications for upcoming videos.
I am always available for any questions you may have. Here, or on other social networks.
See you next week, and bye!
