How to Create Landing Pages to Capture Emails
hi welcome back in this video I'm going to walk you through how to create
landing pages to capture emails to your list step by step now I'm going to show
you does not require that you have your own website or any coding experience so
stay tuned hi I'm Nate Valline with natevalline.com and welcome back to my
channel as I mentioned in this video I'm going to give you an over-the-shoulder
look as I show you how to create your own personalized landing pages to
capture emails to your list now quickly if you're new to my channel and want to

so without further ado let's get into it and we'll get into my computer here and
so the landing page builder software that I use is called ClickFunnels you
may or may not have heard of it it's widely considered as one of the best
landing page building software's on the market and so what it is is it's a
subscription-based service it's cloud base and so this is just a home page if
you don't have an account you can go through it you can get set up with a
14-day free trial and it's very useful very easy to use as you'll see as I walk
you through this so I'll go into my account here so this is now on the
inside and so you can see that these are all landing pages or funnels as they're
also known or opt-in pages that I have created or used and so what I'm gonna
show you is how you can go through and create your own custom landing pages and
so it's quite simple and so if you're new to affiliate marketing one of the
things that you might be doing is promoting Clickbank offers so like if
you were to go to clickbank here's my clip back click bank account
go to the marketplace and you know they have you may or may not be familiar with
it but they have all these different categories of products you can promote
so we will use the example of let's say you're in the health industry and maybe
you're promoting or want to promote this flat belly fix so what you can do is
just click this promote button generate your hot link and then go to a new tab
paste it here and this is where that link will take you and this is the sales
page for that flat belly product I forget what it's called the fat belly
let's go back fat belly the flat belly fix so what you would want to do is
review this sales page you know lose more weight in 21 days with flat belly
fix than regular diets so that's you know great benefit and what you're
trying to do is look for the benefits right get an idea of the product that
you're promoting the sales page because when you create your landing page you
want to have some congruence and so you know after looking at this you know it's
a lot of text you have a couple before-and-after photos here stuff like
that and some other testimonials etc etc so a lot of text probably a lot of great
headlines that you could implement into your landing page so I'm going to go
back to click funnels and sorry that's kind of roundabout way but how you get
started keep the flat belly fix in mind but what you do is we'll just add a new
funnel right here and so the great thing about click funnels is they have this
cook book builder process which it'll walk you through templates or kind of
pre-built templates and so if you have a full process like funnel process in mind
you'd like to do you can use that I'm just gonna go ahead and create a classic
funnel builder and the object the goal is to collect emails if you have a
product you can create a sell your product or host a webinar so we're just
wanting to collect email so I'm gonna choose that you're gonna name this we'll
say a flat belly fixer if I could spell sorry
flat belly fix don't say he'll do it a tank lips I apologize my typing is
terrible and then just click build funnel so it's now it's just kind of
doing the back end processing putting it all together and so here you go so now
the now you're ready to select a template so there's all these free
templates that you can choose from - if you want a sort of a premade opt-in page
and so you could choose any of these you can preview on see how they will look
feel everything like that everything from very elaborate to simple whatever
fits your design what you want your product that you're offering anything
like that so what I'm gonna do I'm just gonna select this blank start just to
show you how easy it is to build these funnels like I said there's no coding
required it's just clicking a couple buttons you
know changing some some different parameters everything like that so now
we have a landing page template loaded it's just a blank starter template so
you would just click this edit page you know take you into the page editor
and so you can see here it's just a blank page with just this normal tech
saying it's a blank starter page so what we're gonna do so when you you can see
when I hover over certain areas it changes the different boxes so this
green box is your section the blue box is your row and the orange is your
element so you you need to you always start with a less section and then you
add a row and you can split up the rows into different columns so if you need
wanted multiple columns you could do that I'm just gonna go back ignore that
and you can have and then you can change your elements and add elements as well
so I'm just gonna start with this though and create this turn this into my main
headline so let's go back to our sales page here so the first thing it says is
the super simple morning habit accidentally melted 84 pounds of fat why
will it lose more than more weight in 21 days with the flat belly fix than
regular diets take months to achieve if ever so I kind of like that so I'm gonna
come back here and say something like lose more weight with this this brand
new program in just 21 days let's see let's go back
or wait 21 ladies was lose more weight with this brand-new program in just 21
days let's see let's change this let's delete this we're gonna go in just 21
days enter lose more weight with this brand-new program okay so there's our
first headline and so if you were to click on here you can bold it italicize
it some basic formatting features here but if you click on this gear icon it'll
open up more options for you so you can select a font if you want to change the
font there's some pre-loaded fonts in here you know maybe you want to go
something more some sorry like that you need to want to change the font size
make it bigger you can just grab this and drag it if you want to change the
text color bold it anything like that opacity things like that so I think I'm
gonna just start with this and so let's add a new element so I'm going to click
on this plus box in I'm going to add a paragraph and here I'm just gonna add
I'm gonna just say you'll discover the simple secret to losing weight permanent
within it to do this I'm just gonna copy this out of simplicity and speed for
this example and I'm just gonna paste it right in here do a little quick for ends
you'll just go to do ok I'm gonna click the gear again brings up the
options for this I'm gonna increase that font a little bit more there are some
advanced features you can do you can come in here you can do some text
transform spacing shadows padding etc etc but I'm gonna I'm just gonna leave
it like that
and then what we need to do let's add a new element so I'm just doing this real
quick but hopefully you can see how easy this it actually is and so let's add an
input text so your email address here defaults to that we'll click on this
gear icon open up the settings so the input type let's put an email address so
it automated automatically makes it required you can change your the
placeholder text here you know you can say like your best email address here
font size you can change all that stuff again
let's add another element so now we got a place for them to put their email but
now we need a way for them to submit it and so we'll add a button and so you can
see a button popped up here and again we'll click the beer icon set the action
you know you can set it to just submit the order form that's typically most
cases that's how you want to set it sometimes you'd want to set it to go to
a specific URL you put that URL in here but we'll just submit the form go back
you can change the button text here like show me how to wait
you can go back to advance button win you keep it fluid so it kind of goes
with the amount of text shown or you could fill the width I think I'm gonna
go fluid that kind of looks funny though I'm gonna see I'm gonna go back to this
email go to advanced way and seeing what I want hoping to get out sometimes you
can adjust the width they're not always but so you can see we're kind of we're
kind of getting a form of a page designed here right and so what uh
something else you can do like we'll go up to this row let's click the settings
let's do background color and I'm just gonna take this so it's automatically
set at the black you can see this little dot here it's black but the opacity is
turned all the way down so it's clear so we can just bring this forward a little
bit add a little contrast boom look at that starting to look a little bit
better a little contrast cells so now what about adding a photo so we can come
up to settings and then background and then you can add an image these are just
some images of our 1/2 there's some stock photos sorry my internet seems to
be running a little slow right now
let's go back to background my library maybe one of these will load so I'll
just grab this you can upload images yourself let's just grab this one we'll
have the image boom now we have this but now so now that the text is kind of
disappearing so now you might have to come back here change the font color or
maybe we'll go white and maybe take this one and go white and let's darken this
up a little bit more so background color let's turn the opacity down a little bit
more and look at that now we're now we're cooking now we're cooking maybe
you want to add a little margin to the top and we'll lower that down so it's
not so off the so high okay so now you can see that design wise this is
actually simply simple right you can do this but you know if I was looking at
this as something that I'm actually gonna promote and put out there you know
I'm not quite liking this you know it's looking pretty wide so what I'm gonna do
is let's go up to settings for this section and see is this what I want
advanced no let's go to the row and the size and position this is what I want I
want to change the width I don't want to go a hundred percent let's narrow this
up a bit let's see what seventy-five looks like see that looks much better
now right we could almost even go little more narrow
boom like so right maybe you want to raise this back up alright I do that
margin that's lower this this may go 40 so see now we're kind of things are
starting to come together here I'm gonna change this button with I actually think
now that when let's go full width see now there's just looking a little bit
better and then you also wouldn't just this is a tip just for general marketing
you know if I were to land on this page and I'd saw this you know I would think
maybe like in just 21 days you know let's get your let's do this back this
and what to say get your beach body back in just 21 days oh all right
get your beach body back in just 21 days so you'll discover the simple secret to
losing weight permanently without any more exercise than they're getting now
and without ever feeling like you're on a diet at all that's a little bit more
catchy as talking now that you're starting to talk about the solution why
do i with people who want to do this well they want to get a beachbody back
they want to lose weight they want you know why do they want to lose weight you
know start thinking about this psyche that way and that'll start to appeal to
people more so so as far as design that's pretty much it you know you can
add more sections you can add more rows you could add more elements you can if
you wanted to add an element like there's all these headlines bullets
images pop-ups videos audio
different text and buttons and whatnot checkbox advanced forms SMS saina
billing shipping like whatever you need to do with your your funnel your landing
page or any further pages that you will want to include into your funnel you can
do that with this program and it's all with clicks of the buck button like you
have seen and so we've got it integrated you can add mate SEO meta data you can
put your title and description keywords author the social image if you want you
can preview what it'll look like onesearch you can add tracking codes so
this is where you can put in tracking pixels you can do retargeting pixels
anything like that and then you can also do custom CSS so if you do know coding
CSS you can add some custom coding and get more creative we went over
background typography again if you want to change any sort of the typography
that you have going on you can change that you can show a pop-up on the page
and these are also buttons to everything and so we use them save it you can
preview it and that is that so when you do save it so you do have to add in a
little SEO data fix just so that you can save it once it's saved you can preview
it like I said but say now I'm just gonna jump ahead say this is done I love
it it's ready to go let's exit out of here now how do you promote it how do
you how do you get people to come here well it's very easy
Oh what this link is here this is the direct opt-in link to this page or not
to optimize the direct URL to this page now it's kind of ugly right like this so
what you can do is click on this gear icon
and this is now the settings for this page so you can change the step name
which is here and then your path so this is you can
change the path here so do fat-bellied fix and we'll just do that updates
funnel and so now you can see it this is your your clickfunnels domain that
you're given when you create your account and then now it says fat-bellied
fix so it's a much cleaner link so now you can give this link to anybody and
they'll be directed to this page and so you can view this by clicking here and
you can see this is what people would look at when they come in and put in
your email it submit boom oh one thing I did just realize I didn't show you how
you - how you put in your sales page link so when people submit it hit submit
on this it's been integrated with your autoresponder so the email address is
gonna go to your autoresponder look at whichever one each set up but then from
there it the page is gonna have to redirect somewhere and the way you do
that is by going to general and then right here where it says on submit go to
this is where you put that this sales page URL your affiliate link that you
got from whatever product it is you're promoting right so you grab that your
affiliate link and say so you're just gonna dance it's you know HTTP you want
to include HTTP or TP HTTP colon backslash backslash
your affiliate link comm and then you just click out of it save it so now that
way we'll go back to that page our landing page when you put in an email
address and hit submit
they'll go to your page so you can see I didn't go to the right page because that
was not a page with that for you it would go to that page so I hope this is
all making sense it really is a very simple easy to use program anybody can
use it like I said no coding no website it
creates a web presence for you you can also create Thank You pages with this
that are already linked up and you can fully customize those the exact same way
you can create so with the Thank You page you can create you can use a
template you can create your own again you can also with clickfunnels which is
nice even just going back to the hopped in page you can create a variation and
do split testing so you can try different images different wording
different fonts whatever you want do images and I'll give you stats on how it
performs each page each variation performs so you can track that and find
out who the winner which page would be the winner so I hope this video like I
said makes sense you can create numerous unlimited landing pages with this
service obviously depending on what subscription level you sign up with you
know something to know is is it's not the cheap
one on the marketplace there are some other landing page builder programs out
there that might be a little less expensive I have not used all of them
but from my experience this is my favorite landing page builder that I
have used it is the easiest it gets the best results everything like that it's
been very very important in the growth of my business and collecting email
addresses to grow my email list so I hope again this you found this video
