NFL Commissioner Just Woke To The Worst News Of His Life When He Saw Who Sued Him Overnight. - Duration: 5:16.

NFL Commissioner Just Woke To The Worst News Of His Life When He Saw Who Sued Him Overnight.

Sometimes even the greatest friendships fail, and duos like Sonny and Cher find themselves

at an impasse where they just can't get along.

That seems to be the case with National Football League Commissioner Rodger Goodell and what

was formerly known as "America's team" owner, Jerry Jones.

Jones is the longtime owner of the Dallas Cowboys and has worked quite a bit with Goodell.

He knows what the good, the bad, and the ugly are in the NFL, and he knows who is responsible

for it.

Every team owner has a vested interest in the league doing well, and at this point,

it has become clear that Goodell isn't what's good for the league.

The National Anthem protest that led to the largest nationwide NFL boycott in history

has hit the league's bottom line hard, and the trickle-down effect to the teams has been

incredibly detrimental.

That means that the commissioner, who is supposed to be looking out for the good of the league,

isn't doing his job, and Jones intends to do something about it.

Daily Mail reports that Jones, who has been threatening to sue the NFL has now decided

the best course of action will be to block commissioner Goodell's contract from being

extended.

It's safe to say that Goodell isn't thrilled with the proposition:

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is reportedly threatening to sue the NFL and several owners

over contract negotiations with embattled commissioner Roger Goodell, going so far as

to hire high-profile lawyer David Boies, who defended scandalized Hollywood executive Harvey

Weinstein against accusations of sexual harassment.

Goodell's contract is set to expire in 2018, and although Jones is not on the committee

responsible for negotiating a new deal, the Cowboys owner is threatening to serve legal

papers if the committee extends the NFL Commissioner, according to the New York Times.

Jones declined to comment through a team spokesman.

A spokesman for Boies also declined to comment.

The NFL protest wasn't the first issue that Jones had with the commissioner.

Undoubtedly, the commissioner has to make some tough choices, even ones that might infuriate

the teams or the owners, and up to now, everyone has accepted that.

However, the differences between now and then is that when it came to tough decisions that

were detrimental to an individual time, like benching a player, Goodell has no problem

with it.

But when a whole slew of owners asked him to make a decision that would be good for

the league but would tick-off the social justice warriors, the man seems to have his hands

inexplicably tied behind his back.

"Jones's issue with Goodell ostensibly began when the Commissioner suspended Cowboys

running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games back in August after the former Ohio State

star was accused of domestic violence by his former girlfriend, Tiffany Thompson.

Elliott, however, has remained on the field thanks to a series of rulings and court appeals.

Last week the second-year running back was granted an emergency injunction that lifted

the suspension again and allowed him to play in Sunday's 28-17 win over the visiting

Kansas City Chiefs.

According to the report, Jones told the owners of the Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants,

New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Houston Texans that legal papers had been

drawn up and would be served if the negotiating committee decided to extend Goodell's deal.

Jones was a nonvoting member of the owners committee that is negotiating Goodell's

extension, but the six aforementioned owners recently revoked that status after he told

them of his plans to sue, according to the report.

Goodell's salary is no longer disclosed publicly since the NFL changed its tax status

in 2015.

But he did earn $34.1 million in 2014 and was paid a whopping $174.1 million over the

first seven years of his tenure as commissioner."

Jones has referred to Elliott's suspension as an 'overcorrection' for Goodell, who

admittedly mishandled the suspension of former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice back

in 2014.

Goodell first suspended Rice only two games after [a] video emerged of the former Rutgers

star dragging his unconscious fiancée out of an elevator at an Atlantic City casino.

However, that suspension was extended indefinitely after another video was released depicting

Rice striking his fiancée in the elevator.

Rice has been out of the NFL ever since.

Jones has questioned the suspension of Elliott, who has maintained his innocence.

In fact, Ohio prosecutors decided against pursuing a case against Elliott last year.

'Zeke is a victim of an overcorrection,' Jones said in an October radio interview."

Perhaps Jones is right, and Goodell could have fallen back on his desire to only do

what was best for the league and that Elliot was in the wrong place at the wrong time to

get the kind of reputation that the league wanted no part of.

He still could have probably gotten away with that reasoning had it not been for this confounded

protest.

This commissioner sticking to these guns and letting the players do something that is ripping

the league apart is proof positive that whatever is motivating Goodell isn't what's good

for the league, and Jones plans to do something about it.

NASA Silicon Valley Podcast - Episode 67 - Roger Hunter - Duration: 26:53.

Host (Matthew Buffington): You are listening to NASA in Silicon Valley episode 67.

Kimberly, tell us about our guest today!

Kimberly Minafra: Hey, Matt!

Well, we have Roger Hunter.

He's the program manager for the NASA Spacecraft Technology Program, where he actually oversees

the progress of technologies that are demonstrated on small satellites, we also call them CubeSats

because they're the size of a shoebox, for a variety of missions for NASA.

Host: This is a fun thing, the Small Sats, because you think of these tiny, little, Kleenex

box sized small satellites.

And it's not just NASA working on this stuff, you have tech companies in the area, in Silicon

Valley working on this, you have a ton of universities and groups, all working on this

as a new platform.

Kimberly Minafra: Oh yeah, and they're so popular that it's more actually encouraged

to have outside non-NASA people be a part of this as our partners.

They can actually pack so much in these little four inch by four inch cubes to go ride on

larger missions.

Like this one coming up on November 11th!

We actually have four small sat missions that will be taking a ride to the International

Space Station.

Host: I get a kick out of this because you think of the big rocket with the big multimillion

dollar payload.

Really expensive to catch a ride on a rocket, but fortunately there's little nooks and

crannies on that rocket where you can put little Small Sats and people can like take

advantage of it.

Kimberly Minafra: Oh yeah, and it's a lot lower cost for the actual missions themselves.

It costs about a quarter of the price of a larger mission.

And even before that, which he may be talking about in his podcast, he was the project manager

for the Kepler mission, which was our mission to see and look for Earth-sized habitable

zone planets in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Host: So before we completely spoil the entire episode, just a reminder we have a phone number.

If you have any comments, questions, we are at (650) 604-1400.

You can give us a call, just like our friend Raymond did, but Raymond called and said he

had a question, and asked us to call him back.

And Raymond, if you're listening out there, go ahead and just call us back, leave your

question, we'll record it, and then we'll add that to a future episode as we go along.

But for the folks who don't want to call and actually use your voice, and you want

to type it on the internet, we're using the hashtag #NASASiliconValley.

But before we jump in, I want to give a shout out.

We are a NASA podcast, we are not the only NASA podcast!

And there is a new podcast that's going to be starting out of headquarters, hosted

by NASA's very own director of planetary science, Dr. Jim Green.

This is called Gravity Assist, and basically it's a virtual tour of the solar system

and beyond, talking to a whole wide range of scientists.

I think they're actually kicking it off with the Sun, and working their way through

10 episodes, all the way until they end up talking about Pluto and beyond.

But today, for this episode…

Kimberly Minafra: … Now let's hear from Roger Hunter.

[Music]

Matthew Buffington: What brought you to NASA?

How did you end up in Silicon Valley?

Tell us about you.

Roger Hunter: I was working for The Boeing Corporation, running global positioning systems

for them.

And that was after I had a career in the Air Force.

And I retired from the Air Force after 22 years and went to work for The Boeing Corporation

afterward because they had a position lined up that just seemed right up my alley.

And it was all space systems, again.

Because most of the time that I was with the Air Force, I was doing a lot of space systems'

activities, whether it was designing ground systems or actually operating a spacecraft

or planning systems for the future.

And when I decided to retire from the Air Force, The Boeing Corporation recruited me

to come run their global positioning system activities in Colorado Springs.

And it was in support of, guess who?

The U.S. Air Force, again.

And so, I spent a lot of time redoing some of the things I had done when I was in the

Air Force, and ended up managing a nice team of people there that was providing sustainment

for all of the Air Force ground systems that controlled GPS satellites, and also helping

perform the analysis for the Air Force on how well the GPS satellites were performing.

Host: Well, I would imagine, it's very much the same way -- because you're thinking of

NASA, and you think of the astronauts and how much infrastructure and humans go to support

them doing their work.

I would imagine, it was probably the same for you in the Air Force.

It was like you have the people who fly the planes, obviously a much larger group than

astronauts, but there's a whole --

Roger Hunter: There's a whole infrastructure that supports the team.

Host: Exactly.

Yeah.

Roger Hunter: And, as a matter of fact, they talk about the pointy end of the stick when

you're in the Air Force.

Were the ones that actually were, if you will, guns on target or bombs on target -- things

like that.

But there's a whole infrastructure behind that that helps that team be successful.

And it was, while I was working for Boeing in Colorado Springs, that I received a phone

call, out of the blue, from the former NASA Ames Center Director, Pete Worden and one

of his directors, Alan Weston.

And I thought it was just a casual conversation at first, and all of a sudden, he says --

Host: Then the pitch came.

Roger Hunter: The pitch came.

He says, "We would like for you to come work with us on a mission called Kepler."

And I didn't know that NASA had a mission called Kepler because I was keeping up with

NASA at the time.

And, I knew who Johannes Kepler was from my math and physics days at the University of

Georgia.

And they said, "Oh, we're building a telescope to go search the galaxy to see if there are

other earth's out there."

And I said, "You have my attention."

[Laughter] I said, "Go on.

Tell me more about when you're going to do this."

And this was early 2008, and the Kepler space telescope was still under development.

And they wanted somebody to come work with the team, who had some experience managing

large teams, and also had experience bringing a space telescope or a space system from development

into operations.

And I said, "Well, where do I sign?"

And I said, "You only get two chances in life, to go either, one, work for NASA, or run a

mission called Kepler that is in search of one of the most fundamental questions that

humankind has always had.

Are we alone?"

Host: Yeah.

Absolutely.

Roger Hunter: And you want to go look for -- you think about this when you're a kid.

Host: Yeah.

Totally.

Roger Hunter: You look up in the sky and say, "Is there another earth out there?"

And I thought, "Wow, we're actually going to go do this.

And NASA is actually going to go build a telescope called Kepler to go look for another earth."

And I said, "Where do I sign?"

Host: Exactly.

Well, it's like instead of daydreaming about science fiction, you get to do science fact

--

Roger Hunter: Exactly.

Host: -- and actually prove: Is this the real thing or not?

Roger Hunter: You're right.

Because it was.

It was turning science fiction into science fact.

And so, I left Boeing and moved to Silicon Valley in early 2008.

And we helped continue the development of this space telescope, until we launched it

in early 2009.

And so, I was a Kepler program manager for about six years.

And towards the end of the baseline mission --

Host: Yeah.

The primary mission.

Roger Hunter: -- the primary mission, Pete Worden, who was still the Center Director,

asked me to move over into a new area called the Small Spacecraft Technology Program.

And that's what I've been doing for the last two or three years at NASA.

Host: So moving over into small spacecraft, was it mainly just looking at smaller missions?

Or were you moving into the territory of CubeSats and that kind of work?

Roger Hunter: It's both.

It was moving into CubeSats, which is sort of a new paradigm out there.

Because we, as in NASA, also academia, and industry have been looking at these small

spacecraft, which were basically the size of a tissue box or the size of a loaf of bread.

And looking where technology and electronics revolution has brought us, we were thinking,

"We can actually do science with these things."

Host: Yeah.

Roger Hunter: And so, that's what has happened.

That's where the industry has brought us now.

And NASA is now looking at using spacecraft, of this size, to actually go do science.

Host: And so, I would imagine, when you moved into the Air Force and you're working -- I'm

sure there was, obviously, some set mission, set program, some projects.

You move in and you're kind of filling in a position on the team.

And it's already a well-oiled machine.

But, especially, even at NASA, there's certain -- whether it's a telescope that's already

in the sky, a mission that's already ongoing -- but you're going in to do small spacecraft.

You're accepting into something that hasn't been done.

You're almost kind of building it from scratch that is going to be a whole different thing.

It's not like you're moving into something that's already established.

Roger Hunter: It's a new mindset.

Because when you look at some of the -- many of the telescopes that NASA has flown before,

they're rather large.

They're big entities.

Host: Millions and billions -- are millions of dollars.

Roger Hunter: Millions and billions of dollars, in some cases.

Host: Wow.

Roger Hunter: And they're called, "Great Observatories," because of the magnitude of the mission that

they're either conducting or the amount of money and time that has gone into the development

of these things.

They're, essentially, one-offs.

You know, no one had built a Tubble before a Hubble was built.

No one had built a James Webb Space Telescope before it was built.

And they're one-of-a-kind.

And they are artisanal, if you will.

But we are looking --

Host: It's custom-made.

Roger Hunter: They're custom-made.

They're custom-made units.

But we're looking at CubeSats and small satellites as more of a commodity.

How can you make lots of these, and then go do a mission with them.

And if a few of them fail, you don't jeopardize the mission?

Host: Yeah.

Roger Hunter: Think about that, from the perspective, if a singular system onboard one of those

giant spacecraft's fails.

You're in jeopardy of losing the mission itself.

You build in redundancy, of course, but now we're looking in making these small spacecraft

much more redundant, much more robust, much more flexible.

Host: Yeah.

And even for like a large thing, like a Hubble or a Kepler, there's a whole lot of -- you

have to be very conservative on what you're doing.

You have to make for sure you have the redundancy built in.

This thing is going to work.

We're not wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on this thing.

So you have to be very conservative and thoughtful in doing this.

But for something like SmallSats, where you're kind of opening it up, you're in an opportunity

where you can get kind of ambitious --

Roger Hunter: Right.

You can.

You can actually --

Host: -- and stretch your legs out.

Roger Hunter: You can take more risk.

Host: Yes.

Exactly.

Roger Hunter: That's the name of the game in the small spacecraft area.

Because you can build more of them at a much lower cost.

And when you can do that, you can take more risk for the things that you're trying to

do.

Host: And so, talk a little bit about starting those programs and working in those early

days.

How do you even begin something from scratch like that?

Roger Hunter: Well, you do it from an envelope.

[Laughter]

Host: Nice.

Roger Hunter: Sometimes you scratch these things on the back of an envelope.

But we're looking at: What are the things that we can do with the electronics and technology

revolution that has brought us to today?

And just package that into something that you can go do science with.

For example, if you look at your smartphone.

Host: Absolutely.

Roger Hunter: Yet, we have built a spacecraft that we called PhoneSat.

Because we want to prove that you can take the guts out of a smartphone and put it into

one of these 1U size -- which is like 10 centimeters -- on the edge of a CubeSat -- 10 x 10 x 10

centimeters -- and put the guts of the smartphone inside that, launch it into space, and see

what it does.

Host: How nice.

Roger Hunter: And we turned that into the first spacecraft.

So let's call it PhoneSat because it was based upon a smartphone.

Host: Yeah.

And it makes sense because you couldn't have done this in the '80s or in the '90s, you

know?

Roger Hunter: No, you couldn't.

Host: This is only with the advent of smartphones, and electronics getting smaller and smaller

and smaller, and batteries, and sensors, and cameras.

Now, it's able to take advantage of it.

Roger Hunter: Absolutely.

Because if you look at the processing power in your smartphone today and the computers

back in the '60s, it took a room size to provide the processing power that little smartphone

gives you today.

Host: And so talk a little bit more about PhoneSat.

Is this just one phone?

Are these CubeSat things?

Is it like a swarm of them?

How does it work?

What are you doing with that?

Roger Hunter: Well, the first ones were just singular.

And we also proved that the technology works, and we can get it into space --

Host: You got it there.

Roger Hunter: -- got it there -- and see how it reacts.

And, of course, the first couple we actually -- we broke them.

Host: [Laughs] Nice.

Roger Hunter: But that's what happens.

Host: Of course.

Roger Hunter: You break these things, but you learn from that.

And then the next ones, you get a little better.

Then you get to the point where you don't break them.

And now, we're looking at -- for example, let's think about how GPS operates.

That was a constellation of spacecraft.

To provide you worldwide coverage, you needed an entire constellation.

Well, the way NASA does science --

Host: When you say constellation, what -- for people who --

Roger Hunter: That's mini-spacecraft orbiting the earth, and they're all interconnected.

They're all doing the same kind of mission.

Host: Okay.

Roger Hunter: Now, think of having a bunch of satellites that are oriented towards science.

And you want to collect a lot of science data because the more data you have, the better

the science.

And so, if you can orbit a bunch of satellites at one time, and they're all very small, you

can launch them all at once, on one rocket, deploy them, and then collect science across

the entire globe or across an entire region, allowing you more data collection, which gives

a scientist more data to analyze.

Host: And then, I would imagine, that also plays into -- typically a satellite is looking

at one part of the earth.

And it can't look at it all at once, obviously.

Roger Hunter: That's right.

Host: But with many of these smaller satellites, you can cover a bigger width.

Roger Hunter: Exactly, as opposed to just collecting data singularly across a path,

across the earth.

As the spacecraft orbits the earth, you can deploy many of these and collect data from

many different advantage points.

And when you can do that, then that improves the science that you can collect.

And it informs the scientists better about what the earth is doing, for example, climate

change.

If you can collect multiple data points of science across the entire globe, simultaneously,

that can give you a better feel of how the climate is reacting, how the climate is changing,

and how you can assess what's going to happen on the surface of the planet better.

Host: And so, I'm guessing, during the early days of starting, you know, working with SmallSats,

CubeSats, doing this kind of stuff -- was it primarily NASA researchers and NASA engineers

and scientists working on this stuff?

At what point do you start branching out into Universities, companies, startups?

How does that work out?

Roger Hunter: Oh, in many cases, the Universities and the other industry were leading the way.

Host: Oh, wow.

Roger Hunter: As a matter of fact, when you look at the form, fit, and function of CubeSats,

they were established at a University level.

And NASA is following this.

As a matter of fact, a lot of the innovation that's going on now is happening at University

or in industry.

And NASA is partnering with a number of these Universities and a number of these industries

across not just the United States, but around the globe to accelerate the development in

small spacecraft technologies.

Host: And, I know a big thing that Ames has been working on are, what we affectionately

call, the Virtual Institutes.

Roger Hunter: Right.

Host: Where it's not only just NASA working with special space act agreements with other

people, but it's actually creating an institute, bringing in all of these different communities

who are working on the stuff so that people aren't like silos.

And they can share information and share their progress -- and that even moved into the whole

virtual institute for small satellites.

Roger Hunter: Correct.

We've had some virtual institutes already established that are oriented towards, for

example, solar system exploration and research.

And so, NASA saw the need to copy that success from a small spacecraft perspective.

And so now, NASA has established a Small Spacecraft Virtual Institute, which is going to, hopefully,

mimic the success that we've had in these other virtual institutes and further the sharing

of knowledge, further the collaboration, further the coordination between not just NASA centers,

but across academia and industry alike.

So that we can all take advantage of the revolution that's going on in electronics and technology

to make small spacecraft even more capable and flexible than they are today.

Host: Well, even thinking about the people who are listening to this podcast or your

students, interns, who are wanting to get jobs with NASA, getting jobs working in the

space industry.

It's like now those people who are applying for these internships, applying for jobs,

could literally have small satellite missions on their resume that they did through high

school or college.

You know, they've already done this stuff.

Roger Hunter: That's true.

As a matter of fact, there's a number of Universities that are flying their own missions.

Host: Oh, wow.

Roger Hunter: And they are using that to further the research and development that's going

on at their institute so that they can infuse that into industry.

There's even elementary schools that are now building small spacecraft and launching them.

Host: So talk a little bit about yourself, like your day-to-day, what you're working

with on SmallSats now.

What do you come in?

You know, you get your coffee, open your laptop.

How's it look?

Roger Hunter: Well, we're actually marching towards some upcoming launches.

And so, we spend a bit of time right now on, what we call, the end-game of getting the

spacecraft into orbit.

We have two spacecraft that are launching on September 12th.

And that they're going to go up on a Cygnus resupply mission to the International Space

Station.

And these two spacecraft, one is called OCSD and it's an acronym for the: Optical Communications

and Sensor Demonstration.

Host: Of course, NASA, you have to have an acronym.

Roger Hunter: Yes.

Oh, absolutely.

We live by acronyms.

Host: Exactly.

Roger Hunter: And another one is called ISARA, which stands for: Integrated Solar Array Reflectarray.

Now, both of these are demonstrations of first-time uses for NASA and for anybody, for that matter.

And this is another example of where NASA is at the cutting-edge of developing some

technologies that are going to improve our small spacecraft technology.

Now, the first one, the OCSD, is going to demonstrate, for the first time, laser communications

from a CubeSat to earth and, also, laser communications from the earth to the CubeSat.

We think it is necessary, given the expected number of small satellites that are going

to be launched in the coming years.

And there will be many spacecraft out there.

And the regular electromagnetic band radio frequencies are getting crowded.

And so, we see the necessity of moving to communication by laser or communication by

light.

Host: I was going to say -- normally when you talk about communications you specifically

said, "Laser communications."

So the sci-fi sense is going off, of like, "Oh, laser is into communications."

So this is, basically, electromagnetic -- I would imagine, yeah, it just doesn't work

the same, I guess.

Roger Hunter: No, it doesn't.

There is a difference.

Host: There's different factors involved.

Roger Hunter: Because it has to use -- there's a lot of things that you have to take into

consideration when you're using laser communication from space.

You have to point the thing accurately.

Because when you're pointing a laser, it's very precise in where you originate the laser

from and also where you terminate the laser on the ground.

And so, we have to make sure that that type of pointing is accurate enough so that you

can complete, if you will, the circuit between the small spacecraft and the ground terminal.

Now, we had only done laser communication once before.

It was a bigger spacecraft, and it was from the moon.

Remember, LADEE?

Host: Yeah.

Roger Hunter: And that was just a one-way communication.

And that was to gather a lot of information on the LADEE spacecraft.

And then we blasted it back down to the earth, and it worked perfectly.

Well, now we want to extend that to CubeSats.

So, no one's done this before.

And so, when this spacecraft launches it's going to spend a little bit of time inside

this Cygnus resupply capsule while it's attached to the International Space Station.

Because they've got to resupply the space station.

They're going to take material off the capsule and then exchange stuff that was used on the

ISS back onto the capsule.

And then the Cygnus capsule will maneuver away from the International Space Station

to a higher orbit.

And then it will deploy our CubeSats.

We will go through a readiness checkout of the CubeSats.

And then we will conduct the experiment.

We will lase from the ground to the CubeSats.

And then, when they collect more data, they will lase from the CubeSat to the ground.

And there will be two of them that will be doing this mission.

Host: And this is critical.

Because if you can prove this, show that it works, have it functioning -- then that is

just -- for the next generation, those SmallSats that go up, and like, "Hey, we've already

done this.

Let's add this."

And then have other functionality put on top.

Roger Hunter: Exactly.

And there will be other users out there -- whether they're within NASA or within the Air Force,

perhaps, or within industry -- who would be very interested in the success of this mission.

They want to see that this laser communications is going to work.

And if we can prove that it does, then they will welcome that new technology into their

systems.

Host: So, talk about the other one.

Roger Hunter: Okay.

Integrated Solar Array Reflectarray.

Host: I was going to see if I could remember.

All I could remember is "array" something, so --

Roger Hunter: Yes.

Host: -- I'm glad you have it.

Roger Hunter: This is another first of its kind.

In this case, we have the first demonstration of Ka-band communications from a CubeSat.

But what's also interesting about this is that we have an antenna onboard the CubeSat.

One side of it is the antenna, but the other side of that structure are solar cells.

So you have a part of the spacecraft that provides two functions.

One side helps reflect the Ka-band or the signal from the CubeSat to the ground while

the other side of that structure is collecting solar energy and providing power to the spacecraft.

So this will be a first demonstration of that technology as well.

Host: Oh, wow.

And where do you see that that could go?

You know, for other people -- I mean, is it just more of -- I don't know -- like a way

that these SmallSats can gather more power or power from just the --

Roger Hunter: Well, yeah.

It's like a dual-use technology.

For example, you're using to not just generate power for your spacecraft, but you're also

using it to help generate your communications for your spacecraft.

Host: Oh, so it's more like -- it's just self-sustaining.

Roger Hunter: Yeah.

You become a dual-use technology, essentially.

What happens, in this case, is that most of your subsystems are one function.

And this is a stepping on the path of making multifunctional spacecraft.

Host: Oh, wow.

And then that just exponentially grows.

Not only do you have multiple small satellites out there, you have your swarm.

But then each one can do multiple things.

Roger Hunter: Yes.

Think of the chassis for your car.

It serves one function.

And for your spacecraft, you have a chassis that you bolt all your things inside.

Whether it's your sensors, your batteries or your attitude, determination, control subsystem

-- think if that structure was also not only providing a form for your spacecraft to attach

parts to, but also served as a battery.

Now, you're getting into a spacecraft that's multifunctional.

And that helps you reduce the weight of your spacecraft, but also gives you more capability

and more robustness to your spacecraft.

Those are some of the things we're working on for the future.

Host: And so, if I understand, you have another launch coming up that's apart from these two?

Roger Hunter: Yes.

It's apart from the first two I mentioned.

This one that launches in October is called CPOD for: CubeSat Proximity Operations Demonstration.

Host: Always with the acronym.

Roger Hunter: Always the acronyms.

And this one is going to be the first demonstration ever of two spacecraft, two small spacecraft,

two CubeSat spacecraft that are going to dock with each other.

Host: Okay.

I remember -- we are recording this in June, and we just recently had -- the Centennial

Challenge of SmallSats awards were announced.

And we have animations.

I've seen this, of the SmallSats, circling each other, docking.

Roger Hunter: Yeah.

They deploy attached to each other.

And then after they maneuver some distance from the stage of the rocket that gets them

into orbit, they will detach, move to a distance, tens of kilometers, and then we will initiate

them.

We'll turn them on.

And then they will start looking for each other.

Host: Nice.

Roger Hunter: And then they will start homing in on each other, and they do this circular

pattern.

Host: They're kind of circling around.

Roger Hunter: Yeah.

And they circle around, and then, eventually, they will come together.

And there is a mechanical docking mechanism; they're like little fingers.

And then they grab each other.

And then there are electromagnets that are turned on, and it finishes the docking of

the two.

We've never done this before for CubeSats.

And so, we want to demonstrate this for the first time.

Why is this important?

We envision that many of the large observatories, that we may send into space in the future,

are going to be manufactured in orbit and assembled in orbit, which means that some

parts of these spacecraft will have to dock with each other.

And so we're proving out some of the concepts today that will enable some of the missions

that we will fly in the future.

Host: Wow.

And you can just think about that.

You have the laser communication, so you're gathering data and sending it back, probably,

in like real-time.

They're doing multiple functions; they're dual-use.

But then also moving it into: they can dock, they can separate.

You have this swarm of SmallSats that are able to serve different functions.

Roger Hunter: Exactly.

Host: And so, for anybody who is listening, who is like, you've peaked their interest

-- they're all about learning more about SmallSats -- I believe, you have nasa.gov/smallsat.

Roger Hunter: Right.

Host: So for anybody who is looking for information, I'm sure there's a lot of information from

the Centennial Challenge that happened in June.

And all that you could hope for, to learn all there is about the small satellites --

Roger Hunter: Yep.

Just google: NASA and small spacecraft technology program.

In the show notes, we'll add links to everything so if anybody has any questions, want to learn

more about that.

Also, we are on Twitter @nasaames.

We're using the #NASASiliconValley.

So if anybody has questions for Roger, feel free to ping us there, and we'll get back

to Roger and go ahead and send some responses back and forth.

Roger Hunter: Sounds awesome.

Host: So, excellent.

Well, thank you so much for coming over.

Roger Hunter: No, thank you.

Cancer Diet Recipes Over 45,00 Cancer Patients Say This Drink Treated Them - Duration: 3:22.

Over 45,00 Cancer Patients Say This Drink Treated Them

Rudolf Breuss was an Austrian specialist who built up a 42 day squeezing diet intended

to kill creating disease cells.

A long time of study and research drove him to build up an eating routine intended to

kill creating malignancy cells. It was presented in 1980 and from that point forward, more

than 45,000 patients have said they have discovered accomplishment with this treatment.

Indeed, even people without growth have likewise attempted the eating regimen, notwithstanding

for only one week.

They reported these noteworthy positive wellbeing impacts:

-Enhanced rest

-Expanded vitality

-Lessened danger of frosty and influenza

So What is The Diet?

The Breuss Cancer Cure proposes patients dont to eat any strong nourishments for 42 days.

Rather, vegetables are transformed into a squeezed structure.

One serving of the juice requires:

-1 beet

-1 carrot

-1 celery stick

-A large portion of a potato

-1 radish

Squeeze and strain to expel any pieces.

In the video at the base of the article, the fixings are bent over, making 2 servings.

Theyve likewise included guava for more flavor.

How Does The Diet Work?

As Dr. Breuss states, dangerous cells dont simply get by on yet flourish with protein

from strong nourishments.

The Breuss eating routine is intended to keep the cells from strong proteins.

The fixings have been deliberately decided for their capacity to battle off infections.

Heres the advantages of every fixing: (Make beyond any doubt to go natural!)

Beet Europeans have used beetroot to treat cancer

for centuries.

The vegetable provides the body with nutrients and oxygen that better equip it to fight off

disease.

Beets also ward off tumors by removing carcinogenic toxins from the liver, kidneys and lymphatic

system.

Carrot Newcastle University researchers have found

that carrots contain tumor-fighting compounds known as polyacetylenes.

Polyacetylenes stunt tumor growth.Other studies have found that carrots contain another cancer-fighting

compound, known as falcarinol, which reduced the size of tumors in rats by one third.

Celery Celery was found to kill up to 86% of lung

cancer cells thanks to a compound known as apigenin.

Previous research on apigenin found that it stops cancer cells from rapidly reproducing.

Potato Studies are showing that potato suppresses

the reproduction of lymphoma, liver, stomach, cervical, colon and prostate cancer cells.

It also causes apoptosis (death) of the cells.

Radish for cancer patients Radish can detox the body and provides it

with plenty of vitamin C and anthocyanins. Its becoming more publicly known that Vitamin

C kills cancer cells outright.

Anthocyanins possess antioxidant effects that fight against free radicals and protect DNA

from damage.

Crawl Space Termite Gap, Do I Need One? Are Crawl Space Encapsulation Termite Gaps Necessary - Duration: 2:45.

Hey, there.

Michael Church, CrawlSpaceNINJA.com and I want you to take a look at this video.

We get a lot of questions about do I need a termite gap above the vapor barrier?

Stay tuned.

Okay.

As you can see in this video, we've got a bit of a termite gap between the foam board

and the vapor barrier and the top of the sill plate.

The sill plate is that piece of wood that sits on the block and Tennessee, it is actually

code that you leave a 3" gap minimum.

You can go higher if you need to, but a minimum of 3" to show whether you've got termites

tunneling up from behind the vapor barrier up and trying to get access to the sill plate.

That's a great question.

Do you need a termite gap?

It would probably have to be brought to the code's department of your local municipality,

if you're living in some part of the country that doesn't have termites, don't need a termite

gap.

But here in Tennessee, we got a lot of subterranean termites.

They like to crawl up cinder block walls.

I've even seen termite tunnels hanging down from joists and it was connected to the floor,

probably three or four feet.

It's just amazing what those little critters can do.

Anyway, make sure that if you're in an area with termites that you leave that 3", so your

pest control company can take a look.

And like I said, keep those questions coming.

And oh, real quick.

See this behind me?

That's a crawl space door obviously.

I want to encourage you guys to make sure you start locking these doors.

That's one that I got a guy, a friend of mine that's in security, he said one of the biggest

things people are doing now are breaking into crawl spaces and then breaking into the house.

They get in here and then while you're gone they tunnel up into the house from the crawl

space door.

So, put an alarm on it or something.

If you need to, just do whatever you need to, to keep people out.

We even had a lady up in Sevierville.

She had a squatter living in her house for over a year in the crawl space.

So make sure you secure these doors.

So that's the crawl space tip of the day.

Thanks again for watching.

Please like our videos down below and subscribe to our channel.

Appreciate you telling everybody about us and maybe Crawl Space NINJA will be coming

near you soon.

Have a great day and make it a blessed day as well.

Thanks.

Help! I'm not feeling good. What should I do? - Duration: 3:47.

This is Dr. Tim Smith from New Life Chiropractic, your drug free doctor.

People always ask me about symptoms.

What do I do when I have this condition or that?

What do I do when I have pain here?

What do I do when I have a digestive problem?

What do I do when I'm having sleep issues?

There are many different symptoms that go on inside the body all the time.

What you need to know about symptoms is that's your body doing the right thing at the right

time.

This is your body's warning sign, your alarm system telling you there's a deeper, more

serious problem that is causing the symptoms.

Now the typical medical response is to cover up symptoms.

Whether that's over-the-counter or prescribed medication.

It's covering up the symptoms.

So you're actually blocking your body's ability to tell you there's a problem.

You haven't corrected the cause.

Your body is actually getting sicker.

But you don't feel it anymore.

This is very dangerous.

This reactive, relief-care, sick-care system is what's creating a health epidemic in our

country and it's costing people many times their lives.

There is a better way.

There's a natural drug-free solution to your health care issues by getting to the cause.

By enhancing your body's ability to heal itself from the inside out.

That is controlled by your brain and nervous system.

It is so important your brain is communicating 100 % health to your body a hundred percent

of the time.

Now as a chiropractor what I deal with is not pain or symptoms.

It's the brain and nervous system.

When we do an evaluation we're looking for subluxation.

Shifts in the structure, changes in the function of the spine that's affecting how the brain

is communicating to the body and interfering with your health.

You don't always feel this.

In fact it can be there for months, years, even decades before symptoms show up.

When it comes to health, symptoms is THE LAST STAGE before the disease and death pathway.

It is the last thing.

Symptomatic pathology is the last step.

And that's usually the first time anybody pays attention to their health.

You want to pay attention to it over here, right when it starts.

And the only way to do that is preventative health.

So when's the last time you had your brain and nervous system evaluated by a corrective

care chiropractor?

That's exactly what I do.

If you or your family have not had your brain and nervous system evaluated specifically

in the last six months, you want to schedule an appointment right away.

You can check out our website at NewLifeChiropracticRocklin.com or you can call our office at (916) 259-2682

to schedule that evaluation as soon as possible.

Take a look at your real health and healing potential before it's too late.

Before symptoms and the cause takes over your health.

Thanks for joining us.

Sarah Interviews Father Gregory Boyle | I Love You, America on Hulu - Duration: 7:11.

(audience cheering)

(upbeat music)

- 30 years ago my guest was a young Jesuit Priest

in the east L.A. at the height of a gang war,

and since then he has dedicated his life

to giving jobs and hope to gang members

through Homeboy Industries. Please welcome

(audience cheering)

Okay

before we get started,

tell us what Homeboy Industries is.

- Homeboy Industries is the largest

gang intervention rehab re-entry program on the planet.

People weren't really felony friendly,

they weren't hiring homies,

so we started a bakery,

and then a tortilla factory,

and then we have added-

Now we have nine businesses.

So we get about 15,000 folks a year

walking in our doors trying to reimagine their lives

and start all over again. People who are out of prison

or people who wanna leave behind the gang life.

- That's amazing.

(applause)

You had a slogan, your slogan used to be

'nothing stops a bullet like a job'

is that something you still believe now?

- Well, in the beginning the homies would say,

"If only we had a job."

And so we tried to do that

and if the problem is about

a lethal absence of hope then we wanna infuse hope

to kids for whom hope is foreign so...

So, a job but-

But then what we discovered was

sometimes somebody would throw

a monkey wrench into their life;

their lady would leave them or something like that,

and then they would kind of relapse;

they'd go back to the gang and

to the neighborhood and then they'd go to prison.

So we, since then, have reconfigured this notion of

healing is the thing that really guarantees

that somebody won't go back.

So an educated inmate may or may not re-offend,

and an employed on may or may not re-offend,

but if somebody has really experienced

a foundational essential healing,

then they won't ever go back to prison.

- And you've really done it,

I mean where like the statistics say

someone who comes out of prison,

70% of them will go back.

After going through Homeboy Industries,

that percentage went down the 30%.

- Yeah.

- Yeah. (applause)

(applause)

(applause) - I apologize for my voice.

- I apologize for my voice.

(laughs)

- It's got a sexy, gravellness to it.

He's a little hoarse but...

I'm a little horse, but,

your voice, a little hoarse,

I think has a very sexy gravelly-ness.

You wrote a book Barking to the Choir

and in it you talk about,

and I love this: radical kinship.

Tell me about that, radical kinship.

- Well I think all the things we want

in this country

and the things we wanna struggle for,

peace, justice, equality,

are really by-products of our kinship.

So no kinship no peace,

and no kinship no equality,

and no kinship no justice.

No matter how singularly focused

we might be on those worthy goals,

unless we stand against

forgetting that we belong to each other,

that there is no 'us' and 'them',

and that's the point of kinship.

And so Homeboy tries to be what they think-

What we think the world is invited to become,

which is a community where everybody belongs.

- How do I practice that with people who,

use Jesus' name as an excuse for divisiveness,

for non inclusion? - Yeah.

What we're all called to do, really,

is to imagine a circle of compassion

and then imagine nobody standing outside that circle.

And so we're all called, I think,

to dismantle the barriers that exclude.

- We have to include the excluders.

- Exactly.

And part of it is coming to terms with being friends

with your own brokenness and your own wound,

and because if you aren't,

if you're a stranger to your own wound,

then you're gonna be tempted to despise the wounded.

Which I think accounts for what's happening in the country.

There's such a high moral distance

between 'us' and 'them'

and there's kind of wholesale despising

of broken people.

- But it's hard to watch someone who's

crying for help and who's wounded,

but has immense power and is taking their damage

with them into the White House,

into wherever, that's just a random example.

- For example.

You know, your parents taught you know, um-

Choosing to not see the spirit

of why people in the NFL are kneeling-

He's making choice to not

hear what they're saying of why they're kneeling.

- That's right. - And he's deciding to say,

"This is against the military." When it's just simply not.

He's deciding to not hear that.

But how do we hug this out of him,

(laughs) you know what I mean?

- Well, but in the end, the power-

There is nothing more powerful in the world

than love and kindness,

and somehow you have to trust that.

And even when it comes to people who are

hard-headed and the leaders of the free world.

- You started at ground zero of gang violence

but really I feel like

we're living in a time where anywhere in the country

is potentially ground zero of gun violence.

What is happening, what are we getting wrong?

- I tire of talking about it because

it's just not sensible

and legislatures need to do what they

ought to do which is,

and 90% of the country believe

there should be some controls and background checks,

and so if only elected officials would listen to, you know,

what people really long for, we'd be better off.

- Maybe we should start a Homeboy bakery

at the NRA corporate offices?

(laughs) There you go. Sure.

- Include them and make them feel loved and seen.

The day after the election you wrote a beautiful email

to all your Homeboy community,

would you

share those thoughts with us now?

- So the Trump election was kinda foreign

You know, because it was all about, truthfully,

hate and division. And that was no what they knew

so it kind of freaked them out. But I always think, you know,

moments like this remind us of the things we care about.

And I think it happened, and it'll continue to happen,

where people are galvanized to a place of resistance

and prophetic stance that announces a message

of, you know, hope and the power of love

in spite of everything.

People wanna be connected to each other no matter what

someone says. - All we have to do is

realize that we are.

- Yeah, that's right. That we already are.

- You can use that.

(laughs) Thank you.

I just came up with it from what you said.

Father Greg thank you so much. You're amazing.

- Thanks, kiddo. (applause and cheering)

WHERE I'M PUTTING THE MONEY - Episode 072 - Duration: 9:16.

What is up crew! Welcome to Millionaire Case Study this is episode 72.

Hey gang so this is a different spot than I usually do my episodes of

Millionaire Case Study. So this is the actual Lincoln Memorial behind me and

right in front of me you can't really see let's see if I can actually show you

that's the Washington Monument. But anyway I wanted to start catching more

of these episodes kind of while I'm doing stuff and like in action instead

of just talking about after the fact in fact I just barely edited a lot of

episode 58 which was several episodes ago. But it was more of of me being in

the field and and recording things as I was going and I liked it a lot so I want

to catch more stuff while I'm doing it. So what brings me here to DC, this is the

first time I've ever been to DC outside of an airport besides just making a pit

stop. So in last episode I talked to you about how I got a new client, a business

coaching client. She actually lives here in DC and so I'm gonna be meeting with

her tomorrow. But kind of what I wanted to touch on more than that here in

episode 72 is kind of the financial picture of my business so the whole

purpose of Millionaire Case Study is to be totally open and transparent with the

numbers and things like that with my business. So I just pretty did finances

this morning and in the business that we brought in that to do finances

with brought in around 26 grand that I had been put in different areas. And so I

just want to document where I'm putting that money and kind of how my mindset is.

So later on I can either rewatch it or just so that

you know where I am at this point. So in full transparency that 26 grand was the

most I've ever had to do finances with and so I just finished a book called

Profit First and in this book he really got me thinking on where to put money

for different things to make a healthy business and so I just I'm taking pieces

of it of the book I don't think I'm doing it 100% and I'm gonna finish the

book and then probably read it again just so I make sure I'm not missing

anything but the first thing that he does is first of all he has he has he

talked about having five main accounts and the airplane is really loud some of

em hear me about five main accounts - your income

account,

that's really really loud. Anyway the five main accounts are your income account,

your owners compensation account, your operation or operating expense, your

taxes and your profit. Now profit of course the books called Profit First so

all of your money goes into the income account and then you have you start

splitting the money up to each of those accounts. And the first thing I realized

is it's I'm doing partly what the book is recommended recommending which is

having an income account first of all so I'm doing that but one thing I realized

I'm not doing is I don't have an expense account meaning I don't have a certain

amount of money that I'm setting aside by setting aside by percentage every

single time I do finances. What I have been doing is having an account that's

dedicated to expenses but I'm only doing the bare minimum that's required for

that month of expenses but what one thing this is changing what I am

changing that I just want to document is it's causing me to put a certain

percentage in a separate account and then I pay expenses from that account. So

I have an expense account right now or what I call the outgoing account that

anytime money goes into it that's gone as far as I'm concerned it's gone it's

just waiting for whether it's a cellphone bill, whether it's rent, whether

it's any expense I'm just waiting for somebody to come take their put their

hand in and take the money but it's considered gone as far as I'm concerned.

But what this is doing now is a certain percentage is going to a separate

account and from that separate account that's where I will be putting money

into the outgoing account for any of the other expenses so here

are my allocations right now and that other airplane's are really loud. But here

are my allocations that I want to document so I'm not following his system

exactly for the business my size I think he recommends that I had a profit first

of ten percent but I'm actually doing fifteen percent. Why am I doing fifteen

because how my business is set up it the overhead is very very small because the

overhead is really just a like I have no office everything's home based. So the

only and part of this finances is not counting my designers and everything

because I pay them first kind of as subcontractors so I have the money that

comes in these are my allocations I have 15% that goes to profit, 15% goes to

taxes and then 20% goes to my operating expense account. So those are the three

things I'm doing and I think if I allocate money for those three things

then the business will be healthy. Now what do I do with the other 50% what I

then do from that money is I then deduct my operating or sorry my owner's

compensation which right now I honestly don't need to take any more than like

three thousand out for myself every month but I'm taking five out just to

put into the account. Just so it can build up and then the

remainder I then of the remainder from that after I deduct my owners

compensation I have 40 percent that goes into an investment account for either

real estate or stocks 10 percent goes towards my what I call my PIF account

something pay it forward and then the other 50% is for

reinvesting back into the business whether for advertising branding or

anything else like that. So that's the allocations I just wanted to document

that and another thing I'll just close on is there's this big event coming up

called Thrive in Las Vegas and I've been playing with the idea of sponsoring the

event and I was given the opportunity to do

one of their bigger level sponsorships and it was going to be 10 grand and I

was going to do it. I almost was gonna do it had I not had this money system I

probably thought oh easily I can do it there's 26 grand or 29 grand or whatever

in the bank so 10 grands nothing. But after allocating everything

where I put it I realized well I don't really have 10 grand to reinvest I have

closer to 5 so I'm doing a smaller sponsorship well I'll still get a booth

can do like a chair drop so I can put my book there and everything else like that.

So that's what's going on my world right now while I'm here in Washington DC, Abe

Lincoln right there behind me. So tomorrow morning I'm gonna be meeting

with my business client here we'll be meeting for four hours and then tomorrow

evening I'll be hopping back on a plane to Vegas and then

back home to northern Arizona. So Washington Monument, Abraham Lincoln.

Anyways Calvin Wayman here and if this episode has been useful to you then

I like movies with clever thugs, I like movies about wrigglers who can skillfully manouver reality to get over.

Thugs who mess things up in such a way that everyone ends up being a part of their vicious tricks.

I see these movies as an illustration of what Jesus talks about is today´s Gospel.

Jesus sees this type of women and men who will do anything

to save their own asses, with their minds sharp as a razor.

They will do anything to protect themselves, especially when threatened.

This is quite provocative of Jesus to put it in this way - Look, they use their sharp minds only to protect themselves.

Where is your ingenuity, your intellect, your wit when you have to do something good, when you have to take care of another person?

What is going on with you that the good you do is sometimes so thoughtless, so sloppy and without a vision.

Of course it is not true that all people of faith do good things in a negligent and sloppy way. This is not true.

Fortunately, a lot of those who undertake it, are extremely competent and use all their talents to do it well.

Do your good well, do it best you can.

But this is a very strong appeal Jesus makes - take a closer look at whether your good that you do for others is not sloppy.

ASADA Joerg Jaksche: Why I became a cyclist - Duration: 1:25.

I started cycling when I was 12.

It gave me the ability to escape and connect with myself and with nature.

At that age you're still building your identity and cycling helped me to accelerate the process

of learning who I was.

It empowered me and gave me a maturity and a sense of purpose.

It also gave me responsibility to organise my own training that others didn't have at that age.

A sense of achievement and performance outside the boring school structure.

The whole time I also had the dream of participating in the Tour de France one day inspiring me

as the ultimate achievement.

Cycling was an escape from the pressure of my parents but I was also escaping to a safe place.

Even so that safe place might not have been that safe after all.

Later on cycling also meant I could travel a lot and earn money so I became a professional

cyclist quite early because I wanted to prove myself and especially to my parents that

I could make a living out of it.

They weren't really keen on me cycling and I wanted to prove that their judgement was wrong.

I guess I was rebelling a bit against my parents because of that.

The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs: Features Overview! - Duration: 12:08.

Hello guys this is onlyabidoang, and today I'm gonna be doing an overview for the newest

expansion pack for the The Sims 4, Cats and Dogs.

This is the fourth expansion pack for The Sims 4 and I am really glad that EA gave me

an early access code so that I can make this video early.

So yeah let's get right to it!

First we're gonna be looking on the Create a Pet feature.

Of course, the first thing I'm gonna take a look here are the breeds.

There are a lot of breeds you can choose for the big dogs, small dogs, and cats.

There's more or less one hundred and twenty dog breeds both small dogs and big dogs and

50 cat breeds!

You can also search for specific breeds to make it easier, and also filter breeds with

specific types.

And while choosing a breed, you might notice that there are some traits that are suggested

for specific breed.

Now of course, those are just suggestions, so you can change it freely.

Another nifty thing is that there's the "mix breed" option now, where you can

mix two breeds that you selected.

You can also randomize the result to find the one you like.

Also, don't be disappointed if your favourite breed isn't here, because you can make your

own with the broad customization options that Create a Pet has to offer!

There's also the usual drag-and-edit mode from CAS that is also adapted to create a

pet.

You can edit them the way you want like a clay.

To make it easier for you while making them, you can make them do some poses like standing

on four legs, two legs, sitting, and laying down.

There's an array of customization from body, fur, tails, etc.

For voices, dogs have 5 different types of voices that can be used on any breed of dogs,

so yeah you can make a chihuahua like this, and cats have 3 types of voices.

For the traits, unlike in The Sims 3, each pet has a lot of unique traits that are specific

to their species which is really great!

And now the best thing in create a pet mode in my opinion is the paint mode!

Yeah this is where your creativity could flourish.

Here, your pet is like an easel.

You can add spots, stripes, some unnatural patterns, and there's even the return of

the color wheel, though it is currently only available on create a pet but yeah it's

better than nothing.

the possibilites here are endless.

But because I'm not really that creative, I'm just gonna mess with my pets like this.

And the new feature that I also really love here is that pets have outfits now.

You can give them costumes, accessories, outfits for walking which all looks really cool and

I can't wait for custom content creators to do something with this.

Finally, you can create kitten and puppies straight from create a pet for the first time

and they are adorable as always.

Now after going onto create a pet, let's take a look at the new world, Brindleton Bay.

There are 4 districts here.

The first district is Sable Square, which is the centre of the town.

In this district, there is a vet, a park, and a wonderful monument where cats can play

on.

Then there's the Cavalier Cove.

This is like the beach area and a lot of spots for pets to explore are available, such as

a digging spot for dogs to dig and find something.

The next distric, Whiskerman's Wharf is my favourite.

It's like a dock type of district which is filled with food stand, ships, seagulls,

and it's just a pretty place to hang out with your pets overall.

The final district, Deadgrass Isle is a lone island that's ruled by stray animals and

consists of a museum and a lighthouse, in which the lighthouse is a new woohoo spot.

And at night, ghost animals begin to roam the island.

Now we move on to the gameplay.

First of all, the biggest difference between Sims 4 pets and Sims 3 is that pets are completely

unplayable!

They will do things on their own so you have to keep in touch with them all the time.

The thing that makes it even more challenging is that you cannot check on their needs.

The only thing that indicates their current situation is the colour of their current emotion

that you can see on the bottom.

For example, if the colour is light red, it means that they are uncomfortable and they

need to have one or more of their needs filled.

There's also some signs that can help you figure out what they want.

If they're hungry, they will go nuts near the empty pet food bowl or will have a thought

bubble about food.

Notifications will also remind you if your pet is currently low on their needs.

Also, if you think that there's something wrong with your pet but you have no idea what's

wrong, you can do the "what's wrong" interaction and after taking a look on your

pet, a notification will pop up telling you what's wrong.

Though pets unplayability has its own pros and cons, I'd say that this decision could

be a good thing because we really need more challenge in Sims 4 and this applies to the

real world because pets are unpredictable and you can't really control their lives

completely.

Some interactions can help you make them to do the thing you want, such as commanding

them to do certain actions, calling them over to your sim, etc.

Before adding pets to your household, keep in mind that they take up a slot for the household

instead of having their own slot.

So if you already have for example 5 sims and 3 pets, you cannot add more people or

pets in there because as all of you know, the limit of each household is 8 members.

So yeah they work differently than in the previous games.

Overall, these pets are the same like in the previous games but with a lot of enhancements.

They need to eat, sleep, play, bathe, destroy, socialize, pee, and poop.

Yes, there are poop in this game now and this is the only game where I got excited over

a literal poop being added.

Oh yeah and you can also use it as a fertilizer.

Social interactions with pets are better than ever in Sims 4!

You can command, ask, and encourage them to do something that you want them to do.

You can also discourage them not to do several things.

For example, if your pet likes to drink on a water puddle, you can lecture them not to

do that again.

They might still do it in the future, but the more you lecture them, the less they will

do it again and in the end, they will stop completely.

Relationship between pets are a bit unpredictable depending on their behaviour, compatibility,

etc.

There's also a lot of special interactions that can only be done to pets with specific

traits.

You can request vocal pets to sing a song, send hunter pets to hunt something which will

make them roam around the neighbourhood and return with something, clever pets will understand

spoken simlish, etc.

There's a chance that your pets will run away and go missing.

A notification will pop up informing about it.

Don't worry, they will not be missing forever, but you can make them return faster by posting

a pet missing alert from the phone or computer and they'll be sure to come back home faster.

Another thing is I wanna talk about is the new pet quirks mechanic.

Sometimes you'll get a notification saying that your pet is obsessed with or fears a

particular object.

The object that they will consider are pretty random.

For dogs, you can take them for a walk around the neighbourhood, or even jog together if

you want to improve your fitness skill.

Like in the past games, dogs can swim in the swimming pool and you can even play fetch

in a pool to lure them.

Cats can now stand and walk around on almost every surface, from counters, fridges, beds,

to even this bridge fence.

Multiple cats can even occupy a surface which is annoying much like in real life.

They can even stand on a robot vacuum cleaner.

There's also a new type of plants here: Catnip herbs!

You can buy the seed pack from the computer and there are several types of catnip.

Catnips can be given to cats to influence their behaviour.

The regular catnip will make them insanely hyper, napnip will calm them down and lull

them to sleep, madnip will make them angry, and nuzzlenip will make them cheerful.

There's a new skill now called "Pet Training".

This skill can be increased by teaching your pets, particularly dogs, some tricks.

There are a lot of tricks that can be taught and each took a while to be learned by dogs.

Once taught, you can command them to do a certain trick in which they will do immediately.

You can also improve the skill by buying some obstacle course for your pets.

With the obstacle course objects, you can now train both cats and dogs here.

Note that pet training skill will only reach until level 5.

Throughout increasing the skill, you can teach tricks faster, teach new tricks, command them

to explore a specific spot, show off tricks to other people, and even command your dog

to attack other people!

Another new thing is that your pets can get sick occasionally.

If that happens, you need to bring them to the vet.

Once there, you can sign in for sickness treatment.

There will be a guide telling you the steps on the examination.

The vet will then examine the pet and after a while, you'll have to decide for either

a cheap but uncomfortable treatment, expensive but comfortable treatment or deny treatment.

And yeah the fate of your pet depends on this.

Besides curing sickness, you can also sign up for general checkup, neuter or spay, and

unneuter or unspay.

Yup, you can reverse them.

I have no idea how unneutering and unspaying work but like they said, it's the magic of

technology.

Now this is a good time to start talking about the veterinarian business.

You can start by clicking on the business icon and choose start a vet business.

First of all, you should know that being a vet means that you have to own the vet clinic

and run its business so it functions the same as retail and restaurant system like in the

past.

So yeah we're talking about star ratings, reviews, hiring and firing staffs, perks points,

etc.

You can also assign markups, advertising, and the vet outfit that you can set freely.

But instead of just owning it, you can actually practice as the vet itself!

To increase your veterinary performance, there's the new veterinarian skill.

This skill can be increased up to level 10 and as it increases, you can diagnose an illness

better, craft new items, treats and potions in the vet medicine crafting station to ease

the examination and surgery procedures or just for experimenting.

To do an exam, first greet the patient.

They will tell you what's wrong with their pet and you can either accept or deny the

exam.

While examining, a box will appear to tell you how many symptoms you need to gain from

the examination and the pet stress meter.

You can calm the pet down first manually or with the help of a serum.

Then you can perform various exam to find the symptoms and after doing a bunch of them,

you might end up with a diagnosis and perform the right treatment.

You can also direct patient on surgery procedure instead.

It works the same as examination but more efficient and costs you some money.

First you need to find the symptoms through scanning and after all of them is found, you

can finally perform the right procedure.

To increase your clinic rating, just make sure that you be kind to the patients, that

your patients don't wait for too long and that you perform the correct treatments.

Also, take a look on the perks points catalogue to spend your points on helpful perks.

You can also improve the veterinarian skill without owning a vet clinic and just craft

serums and treats for your pets.

There are various treats you can craft and each have different effect, from making them

ill, making their poop rainbow, aging them down, to even resurrecting ghost pets!

Besides these, there are a lot of new buy mode items as well as build mode.

There are new pet objects for pet-related business, veterinarian-related objects, tons

of new decoration items, furnitures, a cleaning robot that I really adore, and a bunch of

build mode items, which includes the new pet door that only cats and dogs could pass through.

There are also tons and tons of new create a sim items that are also included in here.

And that's it guys for my overview on the features in The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs.

There are still a lot of features that I didn't mention here so go check it out and explore

the game yourself!

Thank you so much guys for watching.

I hope you liked this video and if you like this kind of contents, be sure to subscribe

Energy Update – New Gateway Energy - Duration: 7:59.

Energy Update New Gateway Energy

by Anastacia-Blue Beyond,

A New Veil has been broken through of a New Gateway Energy

We have come through the other side of a veil is the message that comes from the Divine

over and over.

This happened, the breakthrough last night in AEST.

So much was done and healed in dreams, on the astrals/multi-dimensions, so resting/sleeping

and feeling so tired that one couldnt keep their eyes opened was felt strongly.

Yet at the same time a veil is in place with those who we are close to like a

barrier or veil that needs to be earned to be broken through to be on this side so-to-speak.

Through a New Veil.

Others who have not worked through their energies to raise their vibration, are not able to

pass through, to our side until they EARN this.

(When I say sides it is to form a picture of what I am seeing to explain what I am..there

are no sides of the Divine).

This makes it much easier in a way for us here on this side, this NEW OPENING

side

It is like seeing others who we are/were close to in the past behind like a glass pane, where

we can see them, and we can hear them faintly but we are not able to cross-over back

to them as they are not through this veil yet.

These are usually souls that in the past, we have assisted in some way or another, and

now this New Veil is in place that we are unable to do so.

This has been extremely tough and challenging for those who we are very close to, especially

a family member or members, that this has now taken place, sort of for us energetically

of the Divine.

As I was writing this, I was guided to the Ascended Masters cards.

And it is for those Masters who are Ascending is what the message from Spirit that came

with this.

Those who feel so deeply and strongly of their coming home to themselves of their greater

empowerment of owning their Sovereignty in the here and now.

Those who are ready as this does need to be earned make no mis-take about this,

this is very true.

As Ascension cannot be rushed, fooled or cheated.

As really, Ascension is the action of rising to a higher level.

And not new-age bullshit as someone wrote recently.

And it is the action of linking our Spirit to our Soul and Through our Emotions

that enables one to ascend.

This is what Ascension is about really.

As one can only go so far in their human ascension in only linking to their Spirit.

Being in spirit alone will not suffice or will only take us to a certain point

or place and then we will feel, we need more than this.

The Human body/being is the CENTRAL POINT between the Spirit and the Soul (in a way)

of that if one is purely operating from the astrals or their Spirit and not feeling and

connecting and integrating in the human being, through their emotions then dis-ease comes

into play.

If one is operating from in Spirit and the astrals only, then one becomes top-heavy

in Spirit and due to their being a disconnection from ones deeper emotions, the body will suffer

for this, eventually or now, it depends on each person.

Our Body is our Barometer of the Soul (Annette Noontil).

As in our emotions are the key.

As our body is like a ship and our emotions are like our ships rudder.

WE NEED TO LINK OUR SPIRIT TO OUR SOUL AND THROUGH OUR EMOTIONS.

And this is a process and can take time, layer after layer, level after level of peeling

off the old masks and emotions that have kept us alive.

For us to gently let go and to be very real and honest with ourselves in a way, that we

may have not done so before.

And if someone jumps in and says I have done this then this is a very brave soul

that does so.

As there is more, always more to this.

As this is not only us here this is Ancient and bloodlines, DNA and Generational

healing as well.

Through us, of healing our masculine and feminine for us ALL.

May you find the peace, love and joy that is within us all.

May this reading assist you in coming home to yourself, in feeling and recognising that

this is bigger than just us.

That it is time to rise and shine, in a way like no other for yourself.

That we do need to lighten the fuck up with this, truly we do.

HEALTH AND HEALING

This is a sign of healing.

Your DIVINE HEALING POWER HAS AWAKENED and you feel compelled to help others to heal.

Just as youve been healed, so too do you want others to enjoy health and vitality.

Youre supported in making life changes so that you can continue to heal yourself

and others.

LET GO of any fears or restrictive thinking to fully open the MIRACLES of HEALING.

An illness or injury is healed or healing.

You are a healer.

It is a good and safe time for you to change to a healing career.

Study healing modalities.

TEACHER

This is about learning and teaching.

Youve learned a lot from your experiences and relationships, and now its time to

pass that knowledge along to others.

Your current situation is bringing you opportunities for spiritual growth and teaching you some

important life lessons.

As soon as you understand and accept these lessons, OLD PATTERNS WILL DROP AWAY and be

replaced by WONDERFUL NEW EXPERIENCES.

This person or situation is bringing you important life lessons.

As yourself Whats the blessing that this situation has brought to me?.

Your life purpose involves teaching.

Forgive a teacher rom your past.

You are urged to teach others.

POWER OF JOY

To find your desired outcome, follow the path of joy.

Your lifes purpose is supported by the joy and passion you feel when youre thinking

about working on your purpose.

The joy that you feel within relationships keeps them alive, exciting and growing.

The joy that comes from your hobbies, gives you extra energy.

Of all the emotions, joy has the highest energy vibration.

Joy (insert your name here) has the power to removal all obstacles and attract all of

your needs.

Joy reminds us that we neednt suffer at all.

We can fulfill our purpose, help ourselves and others, and heal through the power of

joy.

Stay positive and filled with faith to manifest your desires into reality.

Find the humour in this situation.

Enjoy a good laugh.

Develop hobbies that bring you pleasure.

To find your lifes purpose, do what brings you joy.

PERSISTENCE

This is is a time for you to say persistent.

Give any discouragement to Lugh and the angels, who will buoy your faith and give you signs

of your progress.

Youre almost there, so keep going.

It may help to break large projects to smaller steps so that youll feel the thrill of

accomplishment with each step that you take.

Persistence pays off.

Stick with it.

Over come procrastination tendencies and take action today.

Stick to your priorities and promises.

Chip away at your dreams and desires with daily action steps.

Stay positive and visualize your dreams as already manifested.

Commit to your dreams for the long haul.

As always I am right here with you.

How to Keep Short Hair Out of Your Face | 👩 Hoo-Rag Review + Tutorial - Duration: 4:28.

Hi guys it's Petrina and in today's episode of Petrina Shows I'm gonna show you how

to keep short hair out of your face. Just in case you're already not in the know,

last year I was completely bald! that's right I had no hair at all thanks to the

magic that is chemo. As you can see now my hair is growing back and I have been

living through a very awkward awkward phase for quite some time now. Before

cancer came around I had very long kinda sorta wavy

reddish brown hair. I could do a lot with it. I could curl it. I could pull it back

in a ponytail. I could do all sorts of things to it. Now, I have this mishmash of silver,

dark roots and what's now like a very light purple and it tends to get in my

face. I feel like this weird Leif Garrett throwback or I feel like if Blanche and

Dorothy from the Golden Girls had a baby- this is what the hair would look like

and since I have zero hairdressing skills and I need to look somewhat

presentable while out and about, I needed to find a quick and easy way to get my

hair out of my face and do it with a little bit of stylish Flair so after

doing a little bit of internet research I discovered the wonder of the Hoo-rag!

If you're not yet familiar with the Hoorag it is amazeballs!

This is a half Hoo. Full size Hoo-rags come in twice the length and they're very

popular with bikers, skiers, all sorts of people who are out and about to not only

pull their hair back but keep them warm while out and about. Although I wouldn't

recommend robbing a bank in one you would look pretty

darn cool. I love easy hair hacks and Hoorag has given me a remarkable one.

They've helped me deal with the awkward stage of growing out my hair and the

half Hoos were the perfect way to keep my short crazy hair out of my face.

They're ridiculously easy to put on and pull back your hair. Let me show you how!

First I'm gonna take off my glasses so they don't get in the way of the Hoo and

what I do is I simply pull it above and around my neck and then carefully pull

it up where it's behind my ears and under my hairline at the back of my head.

I'm gonna get my glasses on so I can see what exactly I'm doing and tada my hair is

pulled away from my face. I've got my Curlies kind of decoratively

surrounding my feminine Hoo-rag and if you want you can thin it

out as much as you want or even if you're someone who wants to maybe hide

your widow's peak or whatever you can expand it and make it have a bit

fuller coverage around your hairline and your hair and no matter what the texture

of your hair if it's straight wavy or curly it's really easy to pull back with

a half Hoo. If you need to keep short hair out of your face while you're

working out, running or doing a sport half Hoos are great. Just make sure you wash

them in between wearings. If you need to hide your growing bangs or fringe, you can

simply pull them back with a half Hoo. If you need a quick way to style a short bob

boom a half Hoo-rag will make it happen or if you're like me and you just

need to keep hair out of your face while you're getting stuff done

get yourself a half Hoo. They come in a wide variety of styles. You could just

get a Hoorag in a single color or you can get a little bit fancy with a

stylish pattern. There will be a link in the description below for you to find

all sorts of Hoo-rag goodness on Amazon. I've gone a little bit crazy and I think

I have a Hoorag addiction! I have seven different stylish fancy patterns in my

collection and I'm sure I'm going to buy more. I love my half Hoos! They make it

really easy for me to pull my hair out of my face, head out the door and go

without looking like Leif Garrett or a Golden Girl (not that there's anything wrong

with that). Hoorags give you just about the easiest

hair hack there is. If you have short hair ,you're growing out your bangs or

some fringe, you don't have quite enough hair to make a full-on ponytail yet or

heck even if you have long hair, these work! Get your hair out of your face and

add a little flair. That is the power of the Hoo-rag! Again the link to find them on

Amazon will be in the description below. If you've got an easy hair hack of your

own go ahead and share it in the comments below (the simpler to do the

better) and if you like this video and you're not already subscribed go ahead

and click that subscribe button and ring the bell. That way you'll know every

time I upload some new how-to goodness. That's it for this one folks! As always,

take care and have a great week. Bye guys!

this ditch and this dude over YouTube time okay you guys watch the title

sequence and I will sleep in a couple more seconds okay that seemed kind of

like dragons wanna see everything from Pizza talked about these things a lot I

get questions from people all the time I had very in-depth thought-provoking

questions if I say Steven universe back behind that's really really difficult

for me to answer accurately do I really okay so if as well as I should I can't

lie I sometimes you know now that I'm like haha so I'll get a question of like

what what is the answer if they ask a personal question about me like who I am

as a person there's some things I clearly know for sure without a shadow

of a doubt but there are some things I still need to learn about myself it's

the part of life people who are also having trouble figuring themselves out

okay share identity is something I think everyone struggles with at one time or

another yes I figure why not go on this adventure together how do I sit down

with myself figure myself out and maybe come to a better understanding that we

all could learn from alright okay okay there is no class here yes there is

whatever this is my actual side until I show I ever learned

believe it or not I was quite the nerd in school I'm pretty sure that's a

surprise to no one

outside maybe that dreams my home yeah Disney Prince yeah do you want to build

a snowman no this is my moral side more outs of

right and wrong but I've learned ever since I was a kid okay

parental units I also represented jokes hey any legs like I was just about to

say looks like a suburban dad like the suburban housewife dad model that's what

he looks like sorry Oh typical in here or is it just

me I know me there's some things that I think even I need to figure out about my

charity let's check okay relationships romance

yes romances that way I have a pretty ideal vision of love there's someone out

there for me okay okay I like how all right the prince guy he's got that's

like a chef's outfit and he put like a sash on it which makes him look kind of

like the prince from Little Mermaid so it's pretty cool I like how the logical

guy looks like he works at like best buy something but like the colors are

different but he looks like he works at a tech store which is pretty funny and

then dad joke which looks like a suburban dad guy that was pretty cool of

this for anybody each new connection you make and that's when the anxiety kicks

in oh yeah that's why I haven't found a person for me yet but that's okay yeah

and it's okay nobody's perfect and true exactly including me know in this

perfect will except I shall learn to love myself yes that's that's smart

flaws less fat speaking of which love yourself flaws now because if so get

ready to take a lot of notes okay okay here we go

you procrastinate a lot you can be a bit selfish with your food and your other

belongings okay the most adventurous person okay maybe

this was a banner supposed to be learning to love myself sure no yes

everyone has an attribute you value your relationships with your friends above

all there's good in everyone and when you're sometimes on doing something you

put all of your energy into it to make it the best it possibly that's good cut

ourselves some slack every once in a while wouldn't want to be our own

villain would we no true what else do we need to figure out biggest beer spiders

what exactly is at the bottom of the ocean don't know Benjamin but he's like

nope nope I'm not talking about beers whoo which when you start it's beers can

be such a deep well oh my gosh and then when you start it can be a spiral down

effect which is highly possible book back to what he was saying earlier

everyone does have flaws and it you can you it you don't want to go too hard you

don't wanna be too hard on yourself I struggle with that I'm gonna be very

hard on myself and I can spiral and that deep well of fear but it's important to

know nobody's perfect everybody has flaws and you just have to

learn who what your flaws are except them and then move forward you with

either improving them or what have you but you know have some type of awareness

of what's going on your life for who you are as a person what I'm struggling with

now a dull thing about myself attached to look for in a relationship

what are you hoping to gain from having another person in your that's right

thank you enough I don't know someone who's a nice compliment to me okay

someone who wants a long stable relations yes

someone who indulges in the same sense of humor and that's good George great

change with me oh yeah what do you wish to do with your education ooh I am not

sure how I don't wait to help the environment that's good I love chemistry

what positive impacts do you inevitably hope to bring well okay that's very deep

surprisingly yeah we have oh gosh yep silly light-hearted content

since the world is kind of a good start it is really happy today well there you

go a good day go true these are good things thank you

and I'm sure there are some of you out there who have other very different

maybe even more difficult questions about yourself yeah about your gender or

your sexuality yes who maybe your love okay do you know don't worry even what

do you want to do tomorrow and where do babies oh well I love like and Bob

burger does this Bob's burger does this it's like that dismissive company like

the responses like oh my gosh okay moving on Rick just open up we're gonna

disregard what you just said we're just gonna like move on he's like oh okay

he's not different confuse but I'm just gonna continue that's funny your own

identity you can take along that's chair may know yourself at an early age or my

husband knows himself it'll be figuring yourself out I'm stuffing myself out

there's no time limit for these questions getting to yourself can be

quite the awesome adventure and hopefully it's a big adventure no matter

what no one knows you better than yourself am i right Tony not my name and

what is it okay that was a very enlightening experience I love the

father out of these kids is the father this my favorite like ain't that right

Tony not my name what is it I love it I love it but I

think that's enough for one night it's a little weird to be talking to

myself so much right so I could you again I knew I can't hamster enjoying

this little journey into my identity I did everyone class dismissed good

let me know this could put up on the youtubes oh my goodness that was super

cute that was funny that I loved it it was so like it there's a there's many

layers to it okay there's like a deep profound Ness to it like the actual

message and you can tell it message so many ways some people probably be like

deep in like a more somber video to really hit that home but I really

appreciate the light-hearted comedy comedic act a aspect or side he took to

send this message of you know getting your true identity self-identity thy

self identifying let self-esteem so you know fear self-loathing self-love with

all these things that have to do with who you are as a person how do you feel

about who you are as a person and what do you know about you as a person and it

gives at least here's some things to think about like if you think about what

are your worst fears what are they you know who are you as a person what are

some things that you don't really know or understand about yourself I implore

you guys to think about those things and let me know your answers to those

questions down below let's all get to know each other and ourselves at the

Healing the Spirit - Duration: 8:44.

We were going to clear a compound, and next thing I know

I felt like I was blindsided from the side of me and hit out of nowhere.

I'm looking as dust settles and I don't–I don't see anything. I don't see anyone.

And then I look down and I see my legs covered in blood

and at that point in time I realize that I stepped on an IED.

My left leg–I couldn't move.

But my right leg, I was able to move it.

All different thoughts were racing through my mind.

But the biggest one was just letting my guys down. I just felt bad for letting them down.

I felt like I lost.

I took my kevlar off and I knew what might happen.

I was ready to go. Like whatever happened, I wanted to end my life.

I was just waiting for the moment.

You know, it never came.

I was afraid and scared and I pulled myself away

from everyone and everything. I had to isolate myself cause I wasn't sure what's happening in my own mind.

I felt everything around me was-was crumbling.

My life... my body... my mind,

And it was just like a–like a black cloud.

I didn't know what to do and I didn't want to ask for help

or seek help. And I was against everyone and anyone trying to help me.

I wasn't sure how to handle all of this–this emotional chaos that was happening in my mind and

I had these drugs, man, and I was actually abusing these drugs.

It was better to live in–in a fog than to be suppressed with all these–these feelings.

And I used those drugs just to numb the pain.

I was sent a gift from my unit.

It was a flag.

I stored it away. I put it in a box.

It collected dust for about four years.

And one day, I was in the vicinity of the box

and I pulled out the flag, not knowing anything other than I thought it was just a regular flag.

I looked at it, and upon closer inspection, I opened it up.

And I saw all of my team members' names with motivational quotes and

how the flag was raised in the area of operations where we worked in.

At that point in time, that's where it dawned on me

and I realized like, how dare I keep this flag boxed up.

It made me think about my selfishness.

I was just thinking about myself–my own pain.

I failed to realize other people were hurting, not just me.

You know, I–I've taken so much from everyone. That motivated me to–to rise.

I'm going to honor my unit. I'm going to honor everyone's sacrifices that helped me.

This flag is going to fly again.

My anger brought me into the box.

It was theraputic for me.

It was a way to channel my negative energy and use that as an outlet.

I could barely stand up or walk, much less do a–do an overhead squat

or do a box jump. That was just far beyond my–my–my comprehension at that time.

It was hard and I kept quiet.

I didn't want nobody to know about me or my injuries.

I would do my own thing, separately from the group.

He was outside on the concrete slab. Got to hear his story a little bit.

Started talking a little bit more about family than anything else.

When we're done with that he says, "Hey, thanks. No one really ever asks me about my family and

"what's going on in my personal life other than, you know, me working out. I appreciate it."

I think that helped him kind of feel a little more at ease in the box.

I saw everyone working out...

I wanted to try it.

I was barely doing five inch box jumps and it was hard, but I was like, "I want to–I want to try.

"I want to keep on trying. It's challenging."

And then working out with the individuals, like I saw them grinding and I saw them going through the pain.

I felt at home.

Three... Two... One... Go!

And every time, I've grown.

You know, from that box jump. From five inches to ten inches to fifteen inches...

Now I can do an overhead squat where I thought like, "How am I going to be able to move my prosthetic?"

"How am I going to be able to move my limb salvaged leg?"

I didn't even think I was going to be able to save this leg.

Or utilize any of the muscles. My body figured out and adapted.

I saw progress.

I saw the community coming together, cheering you on to come on.

It felt like, you know, being back with the unit.

Comes in and he lights up the room. He gets everyone going. He motivates everyone.

He'll see somebody in the class struggling and he'll go over there and help him.

He talks to every single person. It's not just him working out.

He'll see people running. He'll go find the last person out there and go run with them.

We come in and we hold each other accountable and I think that rally brings him in

and kind of steers that PTSD away.

He has changed drastically from Day 1 that I met him.

Him being more at peace when he's here.

After being injured, I never thought I would–I would get back or I would do something positive.

So I figured what if I just show people what I did.

I had a goal to run the Boston Marathon.

Running with the flag. It was in honor of my brothers that I served with in Afghanistan.

I wanted to show them,

"Hey we're still fighting, no matter what."

And that pain is still universal. We're together. We're going to overcome.

Through tragedy comes great strength.

Announcer: Every year the crowd sort of picks its favorite. I think this man is in the running.

Leading up to that event, it wasn't me.

It wasn't my doing. It was the flag that the veterans put up for me.

It was the community that helped me get there.

It was the reason why I was there.

It was people that had supported me through my own struggles.

It wasn't me, but it was collectively everyone's effort and love and support

that came together to bring that moment at the Boston finish together.

MODIFICATION - VFC V1911 PRESSURE SWITCH | AIRSOFT - Duration: 5:10.

A wise man once said: nothing ever stays stock.

So today I will modify a VFC V1911 light in order to equip it with a pressure switch.

First off I get my V1911 out and remove the bezel and the battery,

so I won't electrocute myself.

I continue by removing the hex head screw on the left side with a 2.5mm allen key.

I do this inside of a box so I will not loose any parts.

Then carefully pull out the left part of the switch,

and then the right.

And the micro switch spring pops out.

Now to remove the micro switch.

The negative lead is simply attached to the housing with a simple screw,

which is removed.

To remove the positive lead I clamp down the nut with some surgical clamps.

Then I remove the screw from inside the housing,

complete with battery spring.

I can now carefully remove the micro switch.

The cable I will use comes from a cheap Chinese copy of the G2 pressure switch.

For the price of two and a half dollars, including Pressure switch, Velcro and shipping,

it's not bad at all.

I disassemble the G2 copy.

This is done with some needle nose pliers placed into the small holes of the locking ring,

and then we have the pressure switch and cable attached to a simple printed circuit board.

I cut the leads off,

remove the cap,

and it's done.

To insert the pressure switch cable I must first remove this grub screw

with a 1.5mm allen key.

I now temporarily install the housing and pressure switch on my gun to get a rough idea

of how long the cable needs to be.

Then and add roughly 1 cm,

so the cable can be pinched by the grub screw.

I then strip the cable, exposing the leads.

But don't cut the leads yet, leave them be for now.

I must now carefully wiggle the cable into the V1911 housing

through the hole on the rear of the housing.

Depending on the size of the cable this can take while.

The grub screw will pinch the cable and hold it in place.

So I keep a little slack to make my job easier.

I prepare for soldering by cutting two pieces of 6mm heat shrink to size,

to prevent short circuit, and place them over the micro switch cables.

Now is the time to cut the leads to size.

Then peel the ends with a wire stripper.

Make sure they are long enough to comfortably solder,

but short enough to not cause any interference in the V1911 housing.

To prevent fraying I twist the exposed ends.

With the two leads exposed, I can solder them directly to the contact points.

After completion, I let the assembly cool down in preparation for the next step.

I now place the heat shrinks over the solder points,

and blast them with a heat gun.

Ohh ..look at the shrinkage.

Now to put it all back together.

Push the micro switch back in.

Reattach the positive lead with screw, battery spring and nut on the V1911.

Next screw on negative lead,

micro switch spring,

sliding switch right part,

sliding switch left part,

and the hex screw.

Lastly I put in the battery and screw on the bezel.

Now we can try out the remote pressure switch.

Excellent...

Milling from rear side/frezowanie od tylu/從後方銑削 - Duration: 7:12.

Welcome

today I will tell you of milling from rear side.

That way cause that the profiles or channels have great surface. The profiles have not any chips.

if the surface on the profiles are chipped, you have a problem.

sometimes you can patch it but it takes time..... and money.

Never Ever do this without good feeder !!!

The best is the four wheels feeder... is powerful...

Using less powerful feeder can cause that the feeder is not strong enough and the cutting knife can move the material or even throw away...

Why this way give the best quality of surface?

Because the cutting force are kind of on the reverse direction...

I will explain you on the big straight cutter...

material go in that direction

and the cutter is rotating in this direction

as the cutting force go from the smallest to the greatest value.

....from the smallest to the greatest value.

that standard way....That is the easiest way for machine...

the greatest value of the cutting force at the end usually cause chips on material....

You can see it on the photos at the end of this film..

Especially on curly wood.

Patch it up is so difficult and weird...

I flip over the cuter and reverse the rotary direction.

In that way the milling from rear side the cause the cutting force go in reverse direction compare the standard way.

from the greatest value to the smallest.

... from the greatest value to the smallest.

This way give you great, perfect surface on the cutting material.

whatever you cut the surface of the profile is perfect always

what is disadvantage?

You must have powerful shaper and powerful feeder!!! You must !

Never Ever do this without good feeder !!!

Never Ever do this without good feeder !!!

the shaper must be powerful....because the cutting from the rear side is much harder for the engine.

for professionals with industrial machines that way is great.

if you have smaller feeder (3 wheels) the cutter can move the material and that could defect in the profile,

On that feeder is not any problems....

It takes the some amount of time what the regular way of cutting profiles.

I hope I helped you....

Bad quality on profiles are quit often a problem

Especially when you have not any extra material

.. I know what I am talking about because long time ago I had that problems.

it concerns all kind of cutting profiles and channels

I hope I helped you....

FIRST $10K DAY - Episode 071 - Duration: 9:02.

Hey guys Calvin Wayman here. This is Millionaire Case Study episode 71.

Hey so thanks for coming in this is gonna be short. I'm dressed up here on a

Monday night today's the 14th I believe 14th of August 2017 and I am heading to

a wedding reception here at the end of my day and just gonna bounce out but I

wanted to quickly come in here and shoot an episode what's happened over this

last week. So just to recap so there's been a

little bit of ups and downs and I would say but still in an upward way in a

positive direction so I had a really weird moment in at some point since last

episode where a client cancelled and I freaked out a little bit and had like

this scarcity moment where I was like what would have everything crumbles what

if this this house of cards comes tumbling down and I'm realizing there's

more this mindset in this money blueprint or something in my head that

I'm still working towards even though like I am literally right now I'm better

off than I've ever been in my life I think anyway so far. It's still I saw

some scarcity thoughts and some and some fears of like what if things turn around

and and it's the opposite and I really have felt frozen for a little bit. But

how I really tried to just turn it is switch it by thinking of like what I'm

grateful for and what is what is going right and just give myself enough props

that if shit did hit the fan I would figure it out because that's what I do I

figure it out when things go crazy and it just shifted my energy and so things

started feeling a little bit better and here's the big thing I want to announce

I had my biggest single-day ever as of yet.

Just a few days ago I had my first $10,000 day so somebody that I met at

my last speaking engagement decided to do coaching with me and I offered

$10,000 up front for six months of coaching and they paid it. So that's my

first day where I hit 10k and many more to come

is the aim and so things still look good I even with ABS inflows of clients and

all the uncertainties the thing I want to document here still about the middle

of August and let me just double check on the date just because I want to get

it perfect yeah the 14th its August 14. So here in about the middle of August

August 14 if things continue to go as well as it looks like they're projected

then this will be another big improvement month where I have the the

good chance and possibility of reaching 30K in a month for the first time ever.

So that would be three months in a row hitting at least 20k which would be like

just unreal super unreal I'd be super pumped for that to happen because it

just makes it more real and I think I need that to just get in the right

mindset and not feel so scarce all the time. Another thing that I want to

document in this episode since we're talking about money. I'm looking for ways

to make sure I'm setting my company up the right way early right now while I'm

making tens of thousands of dollars before I'm making hundreds of thousands

of dollars so a big focus that I have right now is I'm reading a book called

Profit First by Mike or by Mike Michalowicz and at first I felt a little bit of

resistance because to read this book because what I've been doing is working.

Not only is it working it's different than what most people do it's I learned

a lot from Dave Ramsey and Total Money Makeover and I have my own flair on

things that I've done that have worked really well and so I kind of felt like

well what else I don't want to not not just what else can I learn because I

know there's a lot I can learn but I didn't want to be veered off course of

what I'm doing but there are some things in this book that I am going to

implement there's a lot I feel I'm already doing and it makes sense why my

company has been as profitable as it has been because I'm doing a lot

what he has talked about in that book but I'm gonna take it more seriously

I'll probably read a second time because I want to be smart and do the right

things structure a business in the right way so it becomes a huge blessing and

I'm not just building this house of cards that could just be blown over. But

right now while it is profitable like set it up for success in the long

term even when it has the dips that are going to be inevitable in business

cycles and things like that. So that's that's something I wanted the document

and then I think I mentioned the last time in case I didn't I'm focused a lot

on getting more speaking engagements I've talked to at least one person and

looking into like getting getting a higher volume of speaking engagements

because that is such a win-win-win for everything that I do that I'm about. I

get a travel when I do speaking engagements if I can get a paid one

that's awesome and just like just barely that happened from this last speaking

engagement I mean gosh I have five social media clients and add a thousand

dollars a month for six months if they all stay on and this $10,000 coaching

client that just came from people in an audience of like forty three people so

it's being profitable so I want to do more of it I get to enjoy myself on

stage and I get business from it and I just think it's gonna help everything

grow so that's my aim is to do more public speaking and take it from there.

Now there was some other thing I thought I was gonna talk about or at least touch

on oh I just remembered I just looked in the camera and I thought of what it was

my beard made me think about a little bit but also my hair so I want to just

update on my progress for my weight over here on I don't know if you can really

see but I have like calendar right there that are tracking my my fitness and

things like that and I am super close to breaking the goal that I've had forever

that once I hit it I will be the lightest I've been in like a decade and

when I hit the goal I'll get to get a haircut and

shape my beard not cut it like really short but like shape it because I

haven't gotten a beard trim at all since I started growing it. And so the last

time I stepped on the scale my goal is to get down to 140 I think I started

like 164 earlier this year is the highest I've gotten and I've gone up and

down without the air and last time I stepped on the scale I was 146 so I'm

just six pounds away and I'm just staying committed and putting my pedal

the putting the pedal to the metal so I'm doing intermittent fasting for 14 to

16 hours a day without eating. I fast for two days every week and I'm just eating

whole foods and I've never felt more in control of food than in my entire life

instead of food dominating me I just went to a wedding reception over this

last weekend my sister got married and I didn't touch any of the junk and I'm

gonna be tested again tonight there's gonna be alcohol, there's gonna be a lot

of yummy desserts and we'll see how the test fares but I'm committed and I'm

gonna do everything in my power to just stay true to what I'm doing and not

touch a freaking thing that would take me off of the path I'm on because I want

this month August to be the month that I hit the goal and get a haircut and shape

and trim my beard a little bit. So that's it I'm gonna wrap it up here in episode

71, so thank you so much for watching. If this is valuable to you it's inspiring

watching somebody making their first million as it's happening and you know

somebody else this would help please share. I'm Calvin Wayman and I'll see you

on the next Millionaire Case Study episode.

Peace out.

ASADA Claire O'Brien: The Fear of Letting Your Team Mates Down - Duration: 1:10.

In some sports your team is everything you wouldn't be able to play the sport without them.

But the all for one and one for all mentality can create a fear that

you will let your team down if you don't perform at your best.

Nothing will let them down more if you can't play because you've been caught doping

and that will not only ruin your reputation but theirs as well.

Your teammates can be your biggest support network. Build an open and honest relationship with them too.

And don't be afraid to tell them if they are also at risk.

It's possible they've already been approached or are struggling with their own decisions.

There can be a strength in numbers and a collective no can make a difference.

If we get enough athletes educated empowered and ready to say no then the system will have to accept the new reality

The culture of doping will change if enough athletes stand up and say no.

It's the kids of today like you who will be the stars of tomorrow.

The decision not to dope is a powerful one. Stand up and be counted.

Encourage everyone to do the same.

Empower yourself with knowledge about anti-doping and associated risks and share this with other athletes.

You don't have to conform to a system.

Be strong in your commitment to being a clean athlete and make it part of your legacy.

[music]
