Trump Granted Special Honor Chinese Have Bestowed on No Other President. - Duration: 3:47.

Trump Granted Special Honor Chinese Have Bestowed on No Other President.

On Wednesday, as part of his trip to China, President Trump became the first U.S. president

to receive a dinner inside Beijing's Forbidden City, the New York Daily News reported.

"President Trump is being treated like a royal during his visit to China, and received

a rare dinner inside the country's most famed imperial palace," the newspaper noted.

"Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday as part of his 12-day tour of Asia, and was greeted

by a small army of children waving American and Chinese flags as part of an elaborate

welcoming ceremony."

According to WKOW-TV, no foreign leader has received a dinner inside the palace in 68

years — since the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Forbidden City is an elaborate palace complex that served as the seat of the Imperial

Chinese Dragon Throne from 1420 to 1912.

It was built after Emperor Zhu Di moved the capital of the Chinese empire from Nanjing

to Beijing.

Constructed over a period of 14 years, it required a million workers to complete.

When the Republic of China came into being in the early 20th century, the Forbidden City

ceased to be the seat of government.

In 1925, parts of it became a museum.

While a state dinner in the Forbidden City is unheard of for a U.S. president, it is

worth noting that during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States

earlier this year, President Trump took him to Mar-a-Lago, a stately residence of slightly

more recent provenance.

I guess Xi was just returning the favor.

Fatuous jokes aside, the state dinner had obvious political implications.

In the past month, Xi has been in the process of one of the most impressive consolidations

of power in China since the Mao years.

In mid-October, the Chinese leader presided over the 19th Party Congress — a gathering

that, in a country where democracy is non-existent, serves in its decisiveness as the dictatorial

version of election night.

It was the first Party Congress Xi chaired, and, as The Economist noted, "(t)he test

will reveal whether he is a rule-breaker or a rule-keeper."

Xi definitely went the rule-breaker route.

At the Congress, he introduced "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

for a New Era."

That sounds more snoozeworthy than a cricket match on rain delay, but much like Ron Burgundy,

it's kind of a big deal.

A Chinese leader putting his name on a program that guides Beijing's future development

both nationally and internationally is almost unprecedented since Mao, and the fact that

it's mostly accepted by the party faithful has made Xi the most powerful Chinese ruler

in decades.

Or, as Trump put it more succinctly, "Now some people might call him the king."

Now that he's consolidated power at home, smoothing things over abroad is Xi's next

big challenge, particularly when it comes to the United States.

Trump has repeatedly called out China on trade and its relationship with North Korea, both

issues that could destabilize Xi's hold on power in the long term should things get

ugly.

Thus, the royal welcome and the state dinner inside the Forbidden City, a historical site

of considerable pride for a country known for considerable nationalism makes sense.

That's probably not going to make anyone in the Trump administration forget about Beijing's

on-again-off-again relationship with Pyongyang or its trade policies — but if flattery

won't get China everywhere in this case, one guesses Xi and his retinue hope it will

at least get them somewhere.

What are your thoughts on Trump's Asia visit?

Pauline's Secret Donkey Kong Dance Tribute in Super Mario Odyssey - Duration: 1:25.

The New Donk City Festival has to be one of the standout moments in Super Mario Odyssey.

The classic Donkey Kong visuals, the music, and even Pauline's dance number--it's

almost too much.

And while the entire thing is a loving homage to the original Donkey Kong game, there are

still a couple more references that might have flown underneath your radar.

Such as how Jump Up, Super Star actually uses some of the music from the Donkey Kong arcade's

25m level.

You can easily hear it during the "Odyssey, ya see" portion.

It's a neat callback to Pauline's origins.

But beyond that, her dance steps during this segment are also a direct callback to her

limited motion in the arcade game.

Yeah, there's a reason she kicks her legs like that over and over, as that's exactly

what she did in her original appearance.

It's a really great throwback and kinda uplifting to see how her cry for help has

become a full-blown celebration.

Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe to GameXplain for more on Mario and other

things gaming.

My name is Harry Drakopoulous.

My name is Nate Husser.

And I'm a Montrealer.

My name is Ethan Song.

My name is Tamy Emma Pepin.

My name is Leda.

And I'm a Montrealer.

My name is Samuel Lambert.

And I'm a Montrealer.

My name is Pierre St-Jacques and I'm a Montrealer.

Montréal, for me, is a teenager having an existential crisis.

Montréal for me is home.

Montréal for me is diversity.

The perfect mix between the English side and the French side.

Montréal. Montréal. Montréal. Montréal. I think that's what makes it so incredibly unique and special.

What I like the most about Montréal is…

Its creative freedom.

Me!

That there's no need to conform.

Its capacity to attract talents from around the world.

That money is not king.

Its arts scene.

Same for me.

Nice.

Its restaurants, its gastronomy.

Pretty girls and poutine. I love Montréal.

We can do what we want, when we want, how we want.

My favourite place in Montréal is the metro stations.

The mountain.

Plaza St-Hubert.

It's Mount Royal.

A jewel in the middle of the city.

I love Plaza St-Hubert's store windows, its people.

Its streets.

You've got to hit Sainte-Catherine.

The Botanical Garden.

You've got to hit Saint-Laurent.

Habitat 67.

If Montréal were a feeling, I think it would be...

It would actually just bring all my feelings to the surface.

It would be nostalgia.

If Montréal were a feeling?

If Montréal were a feeling, it would be love in an igloo.

A hug. Does that count as a feeling?

Is dancing a feeling? An organized cause.

The feeling of being alive and not caring about tomorrow.

Chill.

It would be love at first sight.

It would certainly be that of comfort, since it's home.

I think it's a place that I see myself growing old in. If Montréal were a feeling, it would be…

love, probably.

So I will let you guys know when and how to enter and I will get those things out to you guys

This is beauty fix right here as I said, and it is a 24.95 a month box

And this has quickly become one of my favorite boxes because you know that I love another box out there called boxycharm

But this one is more geared towards skincare, and I just cannot stress enough how much I love this

I just recorded a video where I was talking about my skincare routine

And there are a few items that I have actually been using everyday in my skincare routine and have been noticing

Extreme differences in the way that my skin looks so I'm just going to open up this box for you guys

This is what it looks like and I'm not gonna lie I did open it before

So it doesn't look exactly like I did, but the inside of the box looks like this

It says healthy skin and hair begin here, and then the little Beauty fix right there

now

Some of these boxes that I have received I got

More than one full-sized product in it so this one does only have one full size product in it

But it is definitely one that is worth way more than this box cost a month and that is going to be this product

Right here that is the juice beauty you organic solution green apple peels sensitive

I have heard amazing things about juice beauty I know a friend up in New York that actually swears by their products

So I'm super excited to give this a try and the packaging this is seriously

Legit this is definitely something I'm actually one uses tonight because I didn't shave today

I shave yesterday, and this will not harm muscat at all you know appeal. You don't wanna do that after shaving but

mm-hmm

okay, I thought I would just smell a little bit more like green apple, but

It's a pleasant scent and that is what the product looks like please don't follow up a container

And so I'm definitely excited to give this one a try

And let me see if it tells you the actual price on here it does not

But it says it's rejuvenating and refine your skin with a nap power-packed peel

glycolic and lactic acids from real organic green apples and groups remove dead cells build-up for a smoother and brighter complexion

Major bonus it works for even the most sensitive skin types

So this is definitely a cool product that if you want to try something out the next thing that I am going to pull out

Is right here from glow skin Beauty? It's the solution clear Renu serum this I have heard of the brand glow

I have never actually tried something, but I am excited to try this out

This says that is cell renewal is key for a youthful appearance

Which is why this professional skincare serum is perfect for any?

Regimen a blend of vitamins and fruit acids promote a smoother more even skin tone

salicylic acid and retinol help prevent free radical damage and slow slow slow slow

SLO, ugh how do you say that you guys I mean, I you know even think that I was the literary something

But the words that I cannot say on

This channel somebody can do a mash-up of everything that I mispronounce because I think I'll be hilarious

But it basically says that it gets away bacteria and excess oil giving you balanced blemish free skin

If you have watched my skincare routine video, then you know that I love a retinol one day

I actually want to help my own retinol

But I'm excited to give this one a try for sure and the next thing that I am going to pull out is

If you guys are wearing what it's hitting in front of me

I literally have every product from my skincare routine right in front of me so the next thing

I'm gonna pull out is the drunk elephant TLC Sakura, baby facial that is this right here

now all of my friends that work at Sephora all of my friends that are into like the vegan thing and like all health and

all the guys have swear by drunk elephant I

Am super excited about this

I don't know about you guys because I know that this little tube right here is worth a lot of money because their products are

extremely

High-priced so I am very excited to try this they have one product that

All my friends swear by is is that and it has changed all of their skin? Why I haven't bought it cool

It's like ninety dollars

But this is definitely a sample that I'm gonna get a lot of tries out of so I'm definitely excited about that and who knows

Maybe I'll become a big fan of chocolate and myself and pick up a lot of it

So the next thing that I'm going to pull out is going to be this PCA skin hydrating serum. This is what it looks like

This little stuff it's like simple packaging, but it's like totally

Chic and cool, so this is a hydrating serum after exfoliating and treating your skin

It's time to feed it with a drink a tall drink of water

Is nourishing serum replenishes dull lackluster skin leaving it looking healthy and refreshed one of our customer favorites. It's the deal

ideal daytime moisturizer for all skin types

Please add that to the little montage of me mispronouncing things because clearly

it's it's just never gonna stop now as you know that in each box that you received you do receive a fragrant sample and I

Didn't this time I did them this time

But argh the next thing that I am going to pull out is from Rin. It looks like this

This is the perfect canvas if you didn't see the picture

That's what the full-size looks like it says that this is the final step to perfect skin

Let's see on the inside it also gives you instructions on how to use it

I have it right here in my hand because it did come out of the packaging it says use your moisturizer apply a free a

Few drops of perfect canvas onto your fingers massage over phase until absorb enjoy your makeup ready skin

So I guess this would be like a primer. Just like I maybe like an oil primer

I'm not sure I'm gonna try it tomorrow when I put my CC cream on from it

And we will let you guys know how it goes to room so the next thing I am going to pull out is

right here from skin medica

It's a facial cleanser now this I'm going to put into a giveaway as well because I will not change my skin

Facial cleanser because it is this right here

It is a sodium chloride like things that I use my face and it's prescribed from the dermatologist

So I would not be eating this so it will go into a giveaway for short for you guys

And I heard of skin medica, and I definitely if I did not have that

that I just had to use I would definitely be giving this a try so definitely take you for the giveaway once again and

The last thing that I'm going to pull out is from skin suitable

I've been hearing so much about skin, so it'll close you guys. I don't know what it is

I know a lot of people that use it

And I'm actually going to become one of those people because I know how this sample right here

3D Printed Rotary Slit-Scan Disc Camera - Part 1 - Duration: 16:11.

In this video I'm going to use a 3D printer to make an analogue camera.

This camera is going to be a little unusual because I am combining two different types

of photographic cameras.

The first is slit-scan camera which is a type of photographic method designed to remove

the time-distortions created by the shutter, for example for use on the finish line of

races.

And the second is a disc camera – a marketing gimmick as far as I can tell.

The slit-scan stuff is something I've worked on with the BBKP guys – who I collaborate

with on art exhibitions.

We did a photography exhibition back in 2013 and since then, pretty much every year we

have done some kind of photography based educational workshop at a museums or art gallery.

Disc-cameras were brought to my attention a few weeks ago by Nathan, who I share the

studio with (and who also has his own YouTube channel called OpenTronic) brought back a

disc camera from a car-boot sale.

It's quite an unusual camera, produced in the 80s and aimed at the consumer market.

As a format they were a bit of a flop, and for obvious reason.

Each disc only took around 15 photos on a hard to process negative, while the standard

36 exposure film spool gave you more photos but could also be automatically processed.

The choice was simple.

I can only imagine some bright spark somewhere, thought by putting an analogue photographic

method onto a disc – this would in some way re-invigorate photography, and make it

feel more futuristic.

The camera looks like a stack of floppy discs, and they're really no more advanced than

a 18th century automaton – mechanically speaking.

That said – the ambition to re-make photography more interesting is not a bad one, and I happen

to like the unusual disk shape negatives produced.

They remind me of the wide images peering into the Large Hadron Collider.

Or the gigantic rotating sets used in the making of Stanley Kubrick's Space Odyssey.

What I am hoping to do, is producing a slit-scan on a disc will render the time-distortion

properties of traditional slit-scan obsolete, because the disc moving quicker closer to

the circumference.

But firstly I need to design the camera, which I'll be doing on Fusion 360 and then printing

the individual parts out on my AnyCubic i3 Mega.

I've already started to design some parts for this camera and I've produced a few different

versions.

This was the first one that I produced and it's a little large and it took a little while

to print out.

It's a direct drive, so this handle here is connected eventually by a screw to this disc

which will have the paper stuck to it.

And if I make that disc invisible, you can see this section here - if I zoom is, is where

the slit will go.

It will be made by simply cutting a disc of paper along the centre and sticking it on

either side of the slit, going from the top to the bottom.

If I remove the lens cap, you can see a window here which will house the lens which I'll

be using from some reading glasses.

The problem I have with this camera and this direct drive method is I need to turn the

disc very slowly to expose the photographic paper that I'll be using.

Obviously if I was using a negative then I would be able to move the disc by hand and

still produce images as negative are generally a lot more sensitive than photographic paper.

What I'm going to show you is the assembly of the first camera and some of the mistakes

I've made and then move onto the alterations I decided to incorporate into the design.

In theory I could have set up the other printers but this one works so well, I'm a bit reluctant

to fool around with the other two.

Ok I just pulled that off, and it looks pretty good.

A little bit of a flex to it but it's still warm.

I should leave it somewhere flat.

You should really leave these on the machine as they cool down.

I always seem to get too excited.

It looks like a little disc sander doesn't it.

Ok so this is the lid, I'm currently printing the box section that will fit on this although

I kinda pulled this off the printer a bit too quickly and it's got a little bit of a

bend to it.

I added this lip around here to try help keep the disc flat.

I should have added some going across as well, as you would with injection moulded pieces.

Maybe I even needed something on the back of this.

Essentially this fits through here but are practically flush now on top.

So I don't think I really needed this ring but I might try and glue it on anyway so all

the parts are where I expected them to be.

I made a few mistakes with clearance for what

should have been interlocking pieces with this first model.

Because of the compression of the first layer which is needed to adhere the PLA to the heatbed,

a groove on the turning handle, and lid were a lot narrower than the bits which were meant

to fit into them.

I'll leave that to set for a little while and then I'll glue thing section onto the

handle, or if I can, maybe I'll find a machine screw that will actually tighten in there

or throw some glue in there, I'm not sure yet.

Just swapped the machine screw out to get a better purchase.

Now it works.

It's a bit tight.

It would have been nice if I could have had a gap there and maybe avoided that noise,

but everything is doing what it's meant to be doing.

Ok the other thing I need to do is add a lens, in this case from a pair of reading glasses,

onto what will be my focusing lens.

And I have to admit that noise is really annoying.

Haven't created a mechanism for locking this section onto here at different focal lengths,

so what I think I can do is put a bit of tracing paper in the camera where the disc will actually

lay inside the box, and just visually look at what's focuses.

Really all I want to know is where infinity is.

Ok I'm going to have to use three lenses, so one will end up going on the outside and

possibly another back on the inside if I can manage it.

So you're looking at this section here...

What I'm finding is the shorter the lens housing, the more reading glasses lenses I

need to stack up.

I just wonder like where is it more convenient for you as well?

I guess in that corner.

That's Nathans camera.

That's Nathan being squashed by a camera.

I also designed a square hole in the camera body which I was planning to attach the slit

too.

But it would have been several milometers above the disk and photographic paper, so

the effect of the slit would have not worked.

I don't think that will fit.

Try different rotations?

After attaching the lens to the body I used a flush trim bit on the table router to make

the opening on the body of the camera the same as the inside diameter of the lens.

And later re-printed a new piece to hold the slit which would bolt onto the same mounting

holes as the lens.

I also trimmed the rebate of the camera body, on the table saw so the two pieces could fit

together.

The other problem I have is because this section here was printed this way around, the compression

of the filament made the groove that this section - this lip, was meant to fit into

just too narrow.

Instead of trying to widen this I think what I'm going to do is do a few passes on the

table saw, and hopefully narrow that down.

Ok it fits together a bit better.

One of the corners is not perfect but I think if I was going to use this anyway I'd put

a seal of electrical tape around just to make sure it doesn't pop out, as I don't have a

locking mechanism for the lid.

A DIY camera is not complete without lots of electrical tape.

To find the focal length I placed a piece of opal plastic where the photographic paper

would sit and moved the lens until the object I was pointing at – in this case the light

fitting was in focus.

I use a white pen to mark the lens and labelled the distances upon that.

So I've just marked four lines to indicate focal distance.

The first one here is 20cm, 25, 35 and 50cm.

I can't seem to get an infinity focus with these lenses that I've used on the reading

glasses, I think I need to do a bit of reading about how that all works.

This is

a left handed scissors.

I decided to make a smaller version of the camera – as the scale of the first model

meant re-printing new parts just took too long.

I also realised that I should try gear the disc so it would turn a lot slower.

I did this by adding an annulus gear to the inside of the disc, and connecting a smaller

spur gear to the turning handle which is now off-centred.

I drew this up in Fusion 360 by hand.

The gear ratio is 100 to 17 – so it takes 5.9 turns of the handle to fully turn the

disc.

I've just printed the box section of this.

I'll open it.

It's still cooling but the lip and the groove are a lot better suited, this one's wider

here and this is a bit narrower, and they fit together really nicely.

I kinda worked that out.

Now to try and help avoid warping which is a problem with 3D printed parts, it's come

off the hotbed, and I'm clamping it on to the lid so that will hopefully keep the shape.

This development, alongside silverprint - the place we normally photography supplies from

having moved now out of London (like everything else) this time to Poole, of all places – means

I am only now just about to test the camera.

And no offence to anyone from or around Poole, but if you are from or around Poole, and you

want to get into chemical based photography.

Well you now have one of the best places on your doorstep.

Ok this is a little area you don't get to see that often.

It's the darkroom.

It's squeezed between two walls and a supporting arch in the building that we're based.

It's a really unusual space.

I've got the camera here, and I'm going to do my first test.

Because of the sensitivity of the photographic

paper I am loading it into the camera in the dark-room.

If I was using negatives, I would have to do this in complete darkness but photographic

paper is a bit more forgiving.

The paper is also negative, so the image will have to be inverted or made positive to see

details more clearly.

Ok I'm using a bit of electrical tape as a shutter.

I don't know what I'm going to record yet.

Yeah I don't do clockwise, or anti-clockwise.

Ok here goes.

Cool.

Oh was the developer on the right?

Oh the developer is closest to the door.

Ok, that doesn't look right.

Alright I forgot to put the slit in the camera.

Oh sheet.

It looks kinda cool though.

It's got this kinda moon shape.

Ok let do this again.

You can see I've actually got the slit on there now - that was really stupid.

Nathan is building a belt driven turn table to rotate a large object while taking a slit

scan.

He sat down on it to see if it could take his weight.

I am concentrating on turning the disc as slowly as possible – that's my concentration

face.

Even though the workshop feels quite bright, it will not compare to daylight, and I have

to also factor in the speed I turn the disc which exposes the paper, and the thickness

of the slit which acts like an aperture.

In reality you just have to do a few test and compensate the next time around.

On the negative paper everything is reversed.

So where I may have paused turning the disc or pointed at a light source, you can see

dark lines which means they were exposed (or over exposed), and the light patches of paper,

once invested will be dark, which means they were underexposed.

So yet another video has come to a natural end.

In the next video I am going to consider planetary gears to further reduce the rotational speed

of the disc and continue developing the slit-scan disc camera.

If you want to support this channel you can sacrifice your thumbs to the algorithm gods,

or support me on Patron where provide additional material to relevant videos.

ComposerDad Vs. Bible Ep4: At the Stone Quarry | Joshua 6 | Walls of Jericho - Duration: 10:00.

Builderboy, SquishyBaby, and I are out at the local stone quarry.

Stone quarries are usually not child-friendly, but today it's the worksite of a local children's

event called "Building with Rocks".

We learned about this event from a mom in town.

"I want to build a city," says BuilderBoy

"No problem," I say.

"There are rocks everywhere.

We can build an awesome city"

BuilderBoy stacks rocks on top of each other to form a walled city.

Suddenly, one of the stacks of rocks topples over toward SquishyBaby!

I quickly grab SquishyBaby and shield him from danger.

"That was a close one," I say.

BuilderBoy blames SquishyBaby for the wall falling down.

"He knocked my wall down!"

"No he did not. I saw it."

"He knocked my wall down!!!"

I feel myself getting frustrated.

I take a deep breath.

"I hear what you are saying.

I understand how frustrating it when something breaks that you built.

Let's snuggle and then work together to build an even better wall."

We snuggle.

Suddenly, BuilderBoy builds everything really fast and super high.

BuilderBoy laughs.

What's happening?

How did that build everything so fast?

Did I just see a forklift?

Before I can figure it out, I hear a mega-horn blast echo across the quarry.

The ground shakes and there's rubble everywhere.

Guess who else I see?

BIBLE, with another intense compositional challenge for me, ComposerDad.

"Hello Bible, we meet again," I say, standing tall.

"Hello ComposerDad, I see you and your little ones are surrounding a walled city."

"Yes, we built it with rocks."

"This reminds me…of the walled city of Jericho.

In Joshua Chapter 6, the Lord instructed Joshua to march his army around Jericho in silence

for six days.

On the seventh day, they marched around seven times, blasted their trumpets and shouted.

The walls fell down.

I want you to write a song telling this story from a new perspective…

the city's point of view.

Goodbye."

I knew Bible wasn't far away when I heard that mega-horn blast echo across the quarry.

"No problem, Bible," I say.

But Bible is already gone.

Composing music about Jericho will be no problem.

The real challenge will be crafting lyrics from Jericho's point of view.

It's an intense exercise in personification.

"What's personification?"

Good question, BuilderBoy.

This sounds like a job for…ProfessorMom, on her way home from teaching class at the

local university.

Always ready to jam, ProfessorMom pulls out her bassoon.

<<OFFLINE>>

Always ready to jam, ProfessorMom pulls out her bassoon.

She plays an extremely low tone which reverberates across the quarry.

The tone brings in other musicians at the quarry with their kids.

We begin to jam and walk around our city.

As we play, it's like the city comes to life, moves, and quakes, singing its story.

Suddenly we have a whole song personifying the city of Jericho.

See you next time on ComposerDad Vs. Bible.

ComposerDad's secret identity is Jonathon Roberts.

That's Jonathon with an O.

This song is part of an incredible album personifying biblical cities.

It's available at jmtroberts.bandcamp.com.

That's J for Jonathon, M for Mountain, T for Tiger, and Roberts, dot-bandcamp-dot-com.

11 Things to Know About Loving an INFP Personality Type - Duration: 11:16.

11 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT LOVING AN INFP PERSONALITY TYPE

There's no way around it: relationships are hard work—no matter what your personality type is.

Everyone needs to get certain things out of a relationship to feel satisfied.

And if you're an INFP personality type like me, you probably have a deep need for harmony and emotional connection.

Unfortunately, I didn't always have harmony in my marriage.

"Clash of the Titans" would have been a good way to describe our relationship at times.

Thankfully, my husband was awesome enough to take a personality test so we could figure out how to work together better.

We discovered that we're complete opposites—he's an ESTJ.

We have zero letters of our personality type acronyms in common.

I understand now why we argued over the simplest things.

My husband thinks in terms of logic and reason, while I live in a world of feelings, intuition, and personal values.

I often said to him, "I don't have a logical answer for this, it's just a feeling I have." For a long time,

he couldn't wrap his mind around this.

But now he understands that's how I think as an INFP.

Learning that my husband and I processed things differently because of our different personality types was like

throwing our marriage a life preserver.

So, if you're in a relationship with an INFP, here are some things you should know:

1.

We work with feelings instead of logic.

Most of the decisions we make are based on how the outcome will make us feel.

Don't ask us to explain our logical reasons for choosing something as most of the time we won't have any.

If it makes us feel good and fits with our personal values, it's a good decision in our book.

2.

We attach emotion to almost everything.

If we're watching a sad movie or reading a sad book, we may cry.

But our crying isn't a sign of weakness.

Rather, INFPs tend to be empathic and caring.

We're so in touch with the emotional side of life that we may feel the suffering of others (including fictional

characters) as if it were our own.

Trust me, if you empathized with other people's emotions the way we do, you'd cry too!

3.

We may be sentimental about certain objects.

Getting rid of certain things may be hard.

To us, items from our past are not just material objects but symbols that represent moments in time or pieces of our

heart.

We may feel like we're giving away a part of ourselves if we have to get rid of a treasured item.

So, if we keep a birthday card from 15 years ago or that box of stuff from our college days, please try to understand.

4.

Even if you don't understand, please honor our decision-making process.

INFPs can have a hard time making decisions because we see many different ways a situation could go.

As mentioned above, we do things because it feels right and fits with our inner values and beliefs.

If our partner questions our motives or puts pressure on us to decide quickly, we may get defensive.

Give us time and space to "try on" different decisions and see how they feel.

5.

Learn about our values.

We'd rather be true to ourselves than try to fit in with the crowd.

We don't just follow the traditions of others—we explore our own values and ideas and decide for ourselves what seems

right.

These values are our very soul and moral compass.

They involve an inner love of certain things and an inner aversion to other things.

Our values allow us to wake up everyday without feeling like the world is going to crumble around us.

So if you really want to get to know us, take the time to find out what we value.

6.

Don't purposely push our buttons.

Some people think it's funny to hover right around our boundary.

They tease or say shocking things just to see how we'll react.

For example, telling us we have to go to a party right now, then saying, "just kidding,

I just wanted to see what you'd do," is not okay.

While this might be entertaining for the other person, it's not fun for us.

If we get angry, it can take us a while to cool off.

7.

It can take a while for us to bounce back from negative emotions.

We process emotional experiences at a very deep level.

If something negative happens to us—like fighting with our partner or experiencing a setback or loss—it can take hours,

days, or even weeks for us to feel better (this of course depends on the severity of the situation).

Don't tell us to just get over our feelings.

8.

Validate our feelings.

We're so used to people telling us to "suck it up" or "stop being so sensitive." Sometimes we've even been laughed at

when we're emotional.

This may make us believe that what we're feeling is wrong.

Please let us know that whatever we're feeling is okay as there is no right way to feel.

9.

Comfort us when we're sad.

If you notice we're feeling sad, ask if you can just sit with us or if we want a hug.

We may not want to (or be able to) explain right away exactly what's bringing us down,

but just knowing you're there for us will help.

10.

Know that there will be times when it's difficult for us to compromise.

Because we're guided by our own values, there will be times when compromising goes against every part of our being.

It may seem like we're being stubborn, but we're really just trying to honor our own values.

This will happen rarely, but when it does, please make an effort to see things from our perspective.

Try to understand where we're coming from.

11.

Sometimes planning stresses us out.

We like having a rough idea of what's coming up so we can prepare our energy in advance.

But excessive planning can be overwhelming and stressful, so we may resist.

For example, if we're going on vacation, we may not want to sort through tons of websites and make list after list of

where we could go.

We'd rather let our heart decide and make a decision based on what inspires us.

On The Road, with Cannons! - Vlog 3 - Duration: 9:10.

Hey guys just a little roadside blog vlog going on y'all

You know a lot of you know that I travel full time for a living something you actually don't but most of you don't know

What that entails?

At the behest of my brother who decided to be a good idea and let you guys in on this

There's a little bit of a little slice of my life so right now. I'm in Meridian, Mississippi

You'll be traveling to Mendenhall

Mississippi to drop in on the famous Lyle win in stand riot, and see what they've got going on today on my way to

Laurel machine and foundry which is also on my way to the Louisiana restaurants question so come take right actually a little bit well

For those of you who have not gotten the

Explanation I travel full time for a living I go from showing a show an event event all year round

And I'm really only home for maybe about two months in some time. I'd love lucky some years. I don't go home at all

so for example

Something you may have come and see me at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I spent about a quarter of my year

There is nine weeks show and there to be some time do we have four it's less three months

earlier I am

currently traveling right now

Louisiana Renaissance vessel and I'll spend two months there, and then I'll be traveling on to other art shows festivals and events

And one actually thought traveling full-time for a living in the next week and this quick headed you'll get to say I'm dropping it on

while wind and sand right

They've got a student today, so we get to go actually watch them do a little bit of teaching and whacking things with a hammer

dropping a Mormon

boost up there and uh

Here we are pulling up to a lile wind shop

Pulling up through the yard

There's Lyle

Stand them guys right there

And the dog

Right so I'm here at the shop with the C stand Brian here behind me

Fly went over here, and this is Joe come all the way from California to do a class here

this is day five for him and

If you've ever seen Alex steals video is there any of those guys, but they do tools to make tools?

this is what he's doing and

This is day five and see if I can get you over here. These are all the wonderful tools that he's made in

The last five days that he's been here. I mean, it's got a few leaves these working on feathers right now

hammers

Drifts Fuller's all manner of punches nice flatter tool some Tom's

This is the inside of shop Keon with

This is the inside of the shop this is where they work when the weather is nasty. This is the outside

But they were pretty much on a daily basis let me equip you guys around

Okay, we're gonna make and leaves in the week - what he made

I was telling this just a minute ago, and I didn't press play on the camera. I didn't press record

So here's the nice Forge to finish sockets on the inside these beautiful calipers that stand right here is doing

It means some of the ones who's working on right there

Inside of the socket everything is all for to finishing still see the port's yellow

They did grind right here. Oh, yeah, we did fire right there, just around them up. Just a little bit

Oh, yeah, there's evidence showed

Yep, I'm always talking about the importance of forged finish, and there you go right there

You can make nice accurate finish tools with a little bit of proper hammer work

We've spitting up right now working on them sockets on a new pair right there

And all that'll be filed out cleaned up after we lived it that's pretty nice and tight yeah, that looks real good

Thanks, all right

All right guys so

Already

Visit with the stand and I'll and Joe the students of California

Unfortunately I missed a really nice

explanation of how how they made the feather tool and all that stuff because I forgot to press the record button

After I flipped you guys around I thought I have the record button on

But I didn't so we're gonna run on down here to this buffet. We're gonna. Have a quick lunch

It's getting a little late today for me, and I have to get done

I gotta hit the road and then next time you'll see me will be a

Moral machine at boundary, and we'll get support tools there and then down the Renaissance Festival as fast as I can get there

And here we are pulling up to Laurel machine and foundry and beautiful, Laurel, Mississippi

So in a minute go inside see a little bit more Laurel machine foundry

metal works

Lauren works

So they didn't want any filming going on their premises I picked up for fire pots for John pair Lou

I'm going to drop off his place fire pot and

and Twitter and Flickr breaker and all that for myself, and it's wet block and

Now I'm all loaded up

And I'm bout to hit the highway and head on down the road to the Renaissance Festival so next stop

Louisiana Renaissance whistle see how this goes

Here we are now consider at the Louisiana festival. We're in the booth

Debra's in there getting the fire going and of course as usual for opening day. We're late so

After my really long drive yesterday

I got here in the evening and we worked like crazy people turn into this play set up

And we're still not there so and opening in just an hour gonna be fun. What could possibly go wrong

That's boring so local cannons

So pretty much there you have it. There's a you know a little bit of a traveling day in my life on the run fest

and

That's really about all there is to it. I Drive around fair - fair - fair

I stop at various different places and you get to see a little bit that sometimes

There's more adventures sometimes just hiking and kayaking and stuff like that sometimes

There's just lots and lots of driving if I have to be somewhere very quickly, but that's a little taste of it

so I hope you guys enjoyed it and

If you want to see more of this kind of ridiculous BS let me know if not tell me that - have fun guys

Thanks for watching

The Four Numbers You Need To Know To Drive Success in Your Salon Into - Duration: 2:45.

In your salon, do you love the numbers or hate the numbers?

Either way, watch this video to find out only the four numbers you need to know in order to drive success of your salon.

Hey, it's Jason Everett from highperformancesalon.com.

One of my grandmas when I was growing up used to be able to make pie crust from scratch.

Now, she did an amazing job.

She would mix all the flour and butter and all the ingredients together, and her crust would come out incredible,

but my wife and I have since tried to duplicate it, and we can't because we don't know the recipe.

So here's the problem.

If you have an amazing recipe, write down the directions because it's hard to follow if you're not measuring

and you're not tracking unless you're my grandma.

So, here's the thing.

Inside the salon, your salon works the exact same way.

There's actually a recipe that you should be following to have an amazing outcome inside your salon.

Now think about this: studies have been shown that if you track and measure,

you can increase results by as much as 15%.

Now, think about this for a second, is if I asked you to write down everything you ate

over the course of the next seven days, do you think you might change some of the habits on the food that you're eating?

Of course you would!

You would change your habits because you might be embarrassed to even just to write it down and then turn it in to somebody else.

So inside the salon, it's no different.

Your staff should be tracking numbers and you should be tracking numbers.

In fact, we talk about four different numbers you need to be tracking inside your salon

in order to be successful and to grow, and they're indicators.

They're not everything, but they are probably the most important numbers you can inside your salon.

I'm gonna give those to you now, is that the number one you want to track the total guest count per month you have coming in to your salon.

Number two is your pre-book percentage.

Number three is how much in retail dollars are coming in per guest.

And number four is how many service dollars per guest are coming through the door.

Now, that'll help you calculate your retail to service percentage and give you some amazing other incredible numbers,

but if you want our salon owner cheat sheet of all the numbers you should be tracking as a salon owner

in an actual sheet that guides you and shows you how and what you should be tracking,

do me a favor and say, "numbers cheat sheet" in the comment section below,

and we'll send you the link directly to get our numbers cheat sheet.

So, if you like this video, do me a favor and give it a like and give it a share so we can share this with other salon owners.

If you haven't yet followed us on Facebook or on YouTube, please go and do that now, and don't forget

to make sure you get your copy of our salon owner cheat sheet.

Growing Fall Herbs in Containers - Duration: 11:55.

♪ [music] ♪

- [Beverly] Hi, welcome. I'm Beverly Welch with The Arbor Gate in Tomball,

Texas, here today with Ann Wheeler of Log House Herbs.

- [Anne] Hi, Beverly.

- Hello, Anne. Thanks for joining us this morning.

So fall on the Gulf coast. We look forward to this season every year.

It can be quite short or quite long, but we never know when it's coming.

One of our favorite things to do is grow in containers.

- Yeah.

- They're so easy to maintain. They're space-saving, maintenance-free,

just a lot of reasons why containers are a great way to go. And herbs,

of course, are one of our favorite plants. So Ann, what should we start with this

time of year in choosing our container, and what are we going to plant?

- Well, those are all good questions and splendid observations about growing herbs

at this time of the year. Beverly and I decided a long time ago to call October

1st "New Year's Day" for herbs because, this time of the year, the worst of the

heat is over, and it's a great time to start these things. They will grow and

produce herbs for you throughout what we call winter, which is really an extended

sort of autumn for most folk.

- A lesser summer.

- A lesser summer. But if we start now and we choose the right containers and we

combine things in an advantageous way, we'll be very, very fortunate to have

herbs for a longer period, and we'll be able to maintain those herbs in the same

size pot we started them in because during the cooler

months, they'll grow more slowly, and herbs are famous

for their really bad mannered roots. They are voracious growers, and that's because

they're actually weeds.

- But that's why we love them.

- But that's why we love them. They're kind of like us. So here's a thought.

If you choose a pot no smaller than this, you can go upwards from that.

You can plant herbs in a pot the size of that giant one down there if you want to,

and that way, you can manage to grow and prosper with something that starts out in

a huge pot like this pineapple sage does. And it'll bloom, and it'll produce usable

leaves throughout the year.

- Wonderful fragrance, though. The bright, vibrant red salvia type tubular blooms are

big attractors for the hummingbirds and butterflies.

- Hummingbirds, butterflies, bees will come to this plant. The only limitation

here is that the size of the plant projects the size of the pot that would be

needed for it. It would be not useful to plant this in this pot.

- This fits for this product.

- It would look pretty from day one, but it wouldn't be long-lasting at all,

so we wouldn't want to do that. What we like to do this time of the year...

and it's an advantage for us this time of the year...Let's take one of our cool

season herbs. We have cilantro, lovage, the parslies, the sages, the dills,

and fennels. All of those things...nearly everything except basil can be planted

this time of year to good effect, right, and do well.

So you could take one of these...

- May I help you?

- Yep. And then we have an Italian parsley that would be very pretty with

that and a lovely little...

- calibrachoa million bells, and most petunias here on the Gulf coast...

Our winters are so mild, that will bloom all season, really until May of next year.

- And it'll be such a beautiful spot of color and a useful herb,

and the whole thing is fragrant.

- Right. And, you know, many people complain about having trouble and issues

growing cilantro and parsley, dill, and fennel because they wait until

spring to plant them. And, you know, fall is the time to garden on the Gulf coast.

- It really is. They won't bolt and go to seed as fast as they would planted in

March or April when they first come out in the nurseries. That's when everyone's

excited about planting and we want to, but that is a shorter growing season

for this plant. So that's one thought. Now, what I would do...let's say

these were my choices, and I would do this, and I would do it right now today,

and they would be planted in Arbor Gate Soil fertilized with Arbor Gate Blend,

and these would be my fallback things if I had any problems I wanted to

solve, and I'll say a word about why in just a minute. But when spring

comes...let's say mid to late May...this pot might look better if this were taken

completely out of it and give the space to these to continue to grow,

bloom, and produce the seeds they're going to produce. So any questions, ma'am?

- Not so far. Not so far.

- It makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? If you're growing things in the cooler

season, their roots just won't expand as quickly.

They're still going to grow. They're still going to produce.

- Plenty of cilantro and parsley to last you all season long.

- And you'll be very glad that you have them nearby.

- So what were some of the other things that you chose?

- Well, this is curled parsley for prettiness, and this is Italian

parsley for flavor, and then I chose a dill. This is a bouquet dill, and it's

noted for being a little bit shorter in height,

but very bushy and dense. Lots of dill for you there.

- And, you know, the fragrance on these plants...I love the fragrance...but in

the springtime, what you'll find with your dill and fennel is they're

larval food for the swallowtails.

- Absolutely. Never forget that if you have herbs out there,

you're going to have butterflies, bees, some even hummingbirds. Let's see.

I wanted to point out that lavenders, also...

It's very beneficial to plant lavenders in the cooler seasons.

Our summers are just really hard on them. So if you plant them in a nice pot

this size and put them somewhere where, in the worst of the summer heat,

you can give them some shade in the afternoon. One of the great benefits of

having them in a pot...you can move them around and give

them a little shelter from that terrible sun.

- You know, and given the volume of rain that we're apt to get from time to time,

it's a great way to grow lavender here. It's keeping it up out of the ground

where it's got good drainage and good air flow.

- My thought with regard to growing herbs in containers...either you can have a

decorative objective or you can have a gardening objective. Either or.

Now, this and another plant in this pot would be the decorative approach

that you might take right now.

- Right. Maybe this beautiful Lobularia.

- That gorgeous little plant. It'll drape over the edge, and it'll be beautiful

throughout the...

- Actually, almost year-round. It's a cross between alyssum and Lobelia,

so it's a very sturdy alyssum-looking plant with that wonderful fragrance.

- And it's so delicate and a great foil for these lavenders who are very

sturdy-looking plants. So towards the end of the cooler months,

I might be inclined to take that one out, and I might even be inclined to divide

these two and let one of these lavenders dominate the pot.

- Perfect.

- So you don't always have to have a great big pot to

have a beautifully full plant in it. And as Beverly and I have talked about many

times, when worse comes to worse, you can cut many of these things off.

I have one here just for that purpose. This is Mexican mint marigold.

This is a plant that will be blooming in the fall, and it's most gorgeous.

It'll be really nice most of the winter. It'll go dormant, it'll come back,

and it'll grow, grow, grow. If it gets too big and ratty-looking,

you can cut it right down, and it'll refill the pot...

- Instantly.

- ...almost before your eyes.

- And, you know, this is our tarragon substitute on the Gulf coast.

Tarragon itself is so hard to grow, but this guy is a champ.

- It's a champ, and it's a beautiful plant for a container. It truly is.

Also, another beauty in a container is this [inaudible] sage.

I find that this is one of the most forgiving sages of all, and it can easily

be kept in-bounds, and little bad-looking bits can be easily clipped off wherever

there's a branch. And that brings me to something else, which is true of all

herbs whether they're in the pot or the ground. They really do need to be groomed

and made and used. Using is the best way to groom them, isn't it?

- Yes.

- But you don't need to see a straggly herb. You just keep it shaped up the way

you want it year-round.

- And so all I need for this project then is pick my pot.

We didn't talk about this, but the Better Than Rocks gives us really excellent

drainage, doesn't let the soil block the hole, kind of filters the water,

if you will. It's reusable.

- Yes. You can wash these out and reuse them.

- And then the good draining soil, Arbor Gate Soil Complete, gives you an organic,

well-draining soil.

- Filled with amendments, micorrhizals, spores, and so forth.

- Exactly.

- I plant everything with a goodly handful of Arbor Gate Blend mixed into the soil.

Throughout the growing season, I also sprinkle it on top, and I take a fork and

just rake it in a little bit. When I see things that look not as healthy as I'd

like for them to, I use fish emulsion and/or Hasta Gro. This is more of a...

- Just a little boost. You know, when you feed with a liquid fertilizer, it's a

faster-acting...

- It's available to the plant through the roots right straight away.

- And this can be used as a foliar feed as well.

- Yes, it can. And this has even been recommended to me to solve problems

where you know there's some sort of nutrition problem, but you don't know

exactly what it is. Fish emulsion is just, like, the greatest vitamin in the world.

- And really, the only control, other than that, for fungal or insect pests is Neem,

which is going to be more organic. Here on the Gulf coast, we have to be a little

mindful of temperatures. This can be a little temperature-sensitive in the heat

of the summer, but for the fall and winter, as we're discussing, this

can be used anytime.

- And in the greenhouse, we found this solved the problems of powdery mildew,

which sometimes will, you know...

- We get a little humid.

- A little humid, and it gets on the underside of the leaves of the sages

sometimes, but this is a very good way to take care of that.

- So a minimal amount of products, but a great selection of plants,

and an endless selection of containers.

- Absolutely.

- Well, thank you, Anne.

- It was my pleasure.

okay so now what I'm going to do right here is ease these in together so then

that this one fits in here and then they start overlapping and fitting in

together now what I had to do was add a long piece of yarn because this will

take some extra yarn so I'm going to go on ahead and show you what I'm doing

here so I'm just going to start easing this together so sewing it and easing it

I'm working on the inside

and then pulling it down like that in the corner so now what I want to be

doing then is that now this will fit in here like this so I'm just going to be

sewing the two sides together like this and this is going to take a bit of time

and this is what we have ended up with and so then I have these two done like

that and so now what I need to do is sew these together and so they're not just

fit together they'll be sewn together just like that and using these tails

We find today many couples asking about the aspect of adoption.

I can talk with authority about the aspect because I was adopted myself.

I keep thinking back that little girl

wondering what would have become of her

if someone had not had the courage

to seek out a child that was not of their own,

in order to embrace, in order to love, in order to educate.

From a spiritist or a spiritualist point of view,

we find that there is an amazing law that talks about spiritual ties

and not just family ties.

We find couples that are anguished,

that for one reason or another are unable to conceive.

We find same-sex couples who wish to constitute a family

And so they seek out those tiny souls that are in need

of assistance, of being embraced, of being adopted,

of being brought into a home to be educated and to be loved.

There are so many kids in the world today

looking for a parent.

There are so many children that are hoping for an adult

let the little children come to me as it was stated 2,000 years ago.

We encourage from a Spiritist perspective,

for couples to look for these children,

to look in their eyes and recognize the family ties

and the spiritual ties that unite them.

Seek them out with the responsibility

that entails having patience with the soul

that is coming into their lives.

Be open to this understanding.

Sure it didn't take nine months to generate them in your womb,

Open your heart to a child

RickRolling Is Important! - Duration: 4:29.

Hi.

Welcome to The Listener's Guide.

I'm Steve.

Thirty years ago, Rick Astley's hit "Never Gonna Give You Up" topped the Billboard charts,

and since then has more or less taken on a life of its own.

To a traditional musicologist or music theorist, it would not seem like the kind of thing worth

studying.

It is an aggressively predictable song with its meaning firmly on the surface.

Its sound marks it as a pretty nondescript pop song of the late 80's, gated reverb

and all.

The only thing it has going for it is that it's a real earworm.

But that's why I am so fascinated by it—despite all of the qualities which would normally

characterize it as valueless, it has had thirty years of staying power and has earned itself

a pretty strong position in American pop culture.

But first, the music.

The synthesized band plays just a few chords on loop for basically the entirety of the

song.

There isn't so much as a key change.

The text is pretty banal, too.

Just look at the first verse here.

The third line puts the direct object first and ends with a preposition, all to shoehorn

in an end rhyme that exceeds the first line by four whole syllables!

It's hardly the poetic depth that an analyst would sit and marinate on.

Even so, the poetry does create an interesting rhythmic effect.

Because of the repetitive melody and the uneven poetic meter, Astley has to fit a different

amount of syllables into the same amount of time.

Just listen to these four iterations of the same melody:

[singing: "we're no strangers to love"]

["a full commitment's what I'm thinking of"]

["We've known each other for so long"]

["Inside we both know what's been going on"]

So there, I've thrown a bone to the analysts:

you've got some unity in variety.

Yes!

But obviously, as a pop song, it is more than just music.

It is also a music video.

And this is where things get really interesting.

Astley's voice is certainly a big part of the experience.

In the context of 1980s pop, it is pretty androgynous.

The notes are actually high for a male singer, but there's an unexpected depth to to his

voice that makes them sound lower than they really are.

But at the same time, that depth makes it sound a little more feminine to my ear.

Let's compare it to Cher's 1989 hit "If I Could Turn Back Time"

[singing: "Baby, if I could turn back time / if I could find a way"]

Both singers occupy a sort of in-between space with regards to our typical assumptions about

gender and voice.

When you put that kind of a voice on the body of someone who looks like a high schooler

and moves like the mom chaperoning the dance, there's just a weird disconnect between

body and voice that makes it hard to look away.

Speaking of moms chaperoning dances, for a long time, this song just faded into the background

of white suburban motherhood.

It's a catchy song that stays at one energy level the whole time, making it easy to fit

into the early 90's soft-rock stream of John Mellencamp, Celine Dion, Amy Grant, and

others.

That was actually my main association of the song for most of my life.

Riding in my mom's minivan to various evening and weekend activities, the song would come

on, and it never quite grabbed my attention, but it filled the silence pretty nicely.

That sounds weird.

I had a great relationship with my mom.

But you don't need to talk for an entire car ride.

But of course, the dawning of the Internet Age changed everything.

Know Your Meme says that people began Rick Rolling in May 2007, only a short while after

YouTube was even a thing.

The prank involves a bait-and-switch where you send someone a link promising something

like a scandalous article, only to have them smacked in the face with a mom-dancing, teenage-boy-looking,

very 80's pop star who sounds like Cher and is singing an entirely-too-predictable

generic love song that you won't be able to get out of your head for WEEKS.

It's the perfect kind of absurdist internet joke: no one is harmed, despite whatever rage

face they may send your way.

Are those even a thing anymore?

So basically, Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" is like a musical weed.

Every time we try to fight it, it pops up somewhere else, always hanging in the background,

ready to strike.

But now in the Internet Age, we gave in and put a plaque up in front of it saying "this

is a weed.

It is our weed, and we love it."

What's another pop song you can think of that faced a similar fate?

Any others you want us to look at?

Leave us a comment!

Too Many Super Shotguns (1.1) + Brutal Doom Monsters [Doom mods] - Duration: 8:31.

Good thing is the Brutal Doom monsters didn't stop dropping the gold, despite their modifications.

Without this, it wouldn't be possible to buy ammo ("gun food") in the shop and, since shotguns shells are the only

type of ammunition used here, it would be impossible to play without collecting these golden capsules.

This solved the problem of the chronic ammunition shortage of the TMSS version I knew.

I found an older mod's version, the TMSS V13, which have the other weapons that were shown in the

first PWAD's video that was published on our channel. I'll leave it available for download as well.

Let's go to Map 07 now to show the other shotguns and see what's going to happen there.

Even with fewer guns, Too Many Super Shotguns remains quite fun to play and funny.

Mastering the guns to make good use of them is a challenge in itself, not to mention that they are cracking.

I used GZDoom 2.4 and Doom II to record this video. BGM by: [Vitz!]
