Christina Aguilera: Latest Instagram Pic Sparks Plastic Surgery Rumors

Christina Aguilera has sported many different looks over the years.

Weve seen her Disney days, her regrettable Xtina phase, a few seasons of The Voice where she looked so bored we wondered how long shed be able to continue sitting upright.

the list goes on and on.

But it seems Christina still has some tricks up her sleeve, because these days, shes showing fans a look theyve definitely never seen before.

Aguilera posted the above pic to Instagram recently, and amidst the usual DM requests from Saudi princes was a slew of comments about the singers allegedly altered appearance.

In fact, Christinas followers basically declared a one-sided roast battle and attempted to outdo one another with the most clever putdown:.

What the actual f--k did #ChristinaAguilera do to her face?!! She looks [like] a blow up doll of Lindsay Lohan! reads one of the remarks collected by Life & Style.

Here's hoping Christina Aguilera's new album is as big a creative departure as her new face is! wrote another user.

With followers like these, who needs, um.

whatever the opposite of a follower is!.

Christina sang at the AMAs over the weekend, and yet again, her so-called fans were not particularly kind.

"OMG POOR XTINA! Girl what did you do to your face??" one fan commented on Twitter.

"Agh! Christina Aguilera's lips at the #AMAs! She definitely didn't need any of that.

A third dropped this painfully back-handed compliment:.

"Christina is the last person on the planet who needs plastic surgery.

I wish she'd calm down with all the fillers and injections.".

Fortunately, Aguilera still has plenty of defenders in her corner:.

Christina does not deserve your rude comments! wrote one Chris Crocker-like warrior.

She is against bullying, This is wrong.

You are wrong.

It was so heartbreaking to see all the comments on Christinas latest post..

Thats an important point but even if, for some bizarre reason, Christina were pro-bullying, she still wouldnt be a fan of negative comments directed at her.

Were pretty sure no one enjoys logging into social media to find that a bunch of strangers have a problem with their appearance.

Sadly, its not an uncommon experience these days.

BREAKING: Rogue Judge Just Stabbed Trump In Back With He Did To Support Illegal Aliens After Border - Duration: 5:21.

BREAKING: Rogue Judge Just Stabbed Trump In

Back

a tragedy at the border.

A Texas border patrol agent was killed earlier this week, and his partner on duty was seriously

injured.

They were attacked with rocks about 30 miles from the Mexican border, and the FBI claims

they weren't fired upon with guns.

US Customs and Border Protection officials identified the slain agent as Rogelio Martinez,

36, of El Paso, Texas.

In response, President Donald Trump said that he would seek justice for those agents and

their families, and reiterated the need for a border wall to prevent altercations like

this from even occurring in the first place.

And despite the fact that a border patrol agent was presumably killed by a man (or group

of men) who were trying to enter the US illegally, you won't see any liberals claiming that

it's time for common sense border control.

Just the opposite, rather.

In fact, just yesterday a Federal Judge decided "screw it" – if cities or States want

to illegally harbor illegal aliens from federal law enforcement that's A-OK.

According to Breitbart.

U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick III issued a permanent injunction Monday against

President Donald Trump's executive order directing that federal funds be withheld from

"sanctuary city" jurisdictions.

The original order, issued January 25, aimed to "Ensure that jurisdictions that fail

to comply with applicable Federal law do not receive Federal funds, except as mandated

by law."

San Francisco and Santa Clara County challenged the order, which Orrick blocked temporarily

in April on the grounds that it was too broad and infringed on the powers of the legislative

branch to control federal spending.

It's always a judge from San Francisco, isn't it?

Luckily, the Trump administration has already appealed Orrick's original and temporary

order to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Congress could also screw Orrick over by enforcing Trump's policy by creating and enacting

legislation to deny federal funding to sanctuary cities.

Sanctuary cities receive so much funding that defunding them alone could pay for the border

wall.

Look at all sanctuary cities and the number of federal dollars they receive totals a whopping

$27 billion – per year.

It's estimated that Trump's border wall will cost anywhere from $15-25 billion, total.

Here's another idea: push to make politicians legally liable for the crimes committed by

illegal aliens in sanctuary cities.

Why not, after all?

How is this any different than suing for gross negligence – which is what cities are committing

when they become sanctuaries for those who break America's laws with impunity?

There are 20 Americans killed by unlicensed drivers each day (7,500 a year), and at least

half of them are expected to be illegal aliens.

In some states, illegal aliens account for upwards of 30 percent of the murders committed

there.

When is enough, enough?

What do you think about this?

All the blood is in my hands

I can't take a fucking rest

I gotta move on with the plans

The fear is in my chest

This is for the best

And I just killed the fucking guest!

I can't believe what I've become

Everybody sees me like a scum

I came to believe

Pain is all I leave

You didn't have to come

so you better fucking run!!

Look at all the mess you made

Good memories start to fade

Every broken promise will be paid

So I hope that you have prayed

You wanted to see me!

But now you're turning your face!

You don't wanna hear me!

Say I'm a fucking disgrace!

No!

So run!

Get away from me!

I'm done!

I've become a disease!

Maybe you are the cause of this

Don't you see that what you did was a crime?

Do you think I would let you run?

So you can fuck me one more time

After all the things I've done

I never thought I would have this fun

But I realized I hate everyone

So it's time to pull out the gun

Look at all the mess you made

Good memories start to fade

Every broken promise will be paid

So I hope that you have prayed

Look at all the mess I've made

Good friends start to fade

Every broken promise has been paid

So, how's it feel to be betrayed?

Trump Fires Shots at UCLA Player's Father - Duration: 5:15.

Trump

Fires Shots at UCLA Players Father I Should Have Left Them in Jail!

BY CILLIAN ZEAL.

After being dismissed by the father of one of the UCLA basketball players recently freed

on shoplifting charges in China after Donald Trumps intervention, the president fired

off a scathing tweet saying he should have left them in jail.

LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of UCLA player LiAngelo Ball and Los Angeles Lakers rookie

Lonzo Ball, wrote off the presidents intervention as insignificant despite LiAngelo thanking

Trump for what he had done.

Who? LaVar told ESPN Friday.

What was he over there for?

Dont tell me nothing.

Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.

LiAngelo Ball, a freshman at UCLA, remained indefinitely suspended along with teammates

Cody Riley and Jalen Hill after the three were arrested on a team trip to China for

shoplifting at high-end stores.

Authorities detained them Nov. 7 in Hangzhou, where the team was staying before traveling

to Shanghai to take on Georgia Tech, after the three fell under suspicion of taking sunglasses

from a Louis Vuitton store next to the team hotel.

The incident happened during President Trumps trip to Asia.

The president said he had spoken directly to Chinese President Xi Jinping about the

matter, according to Fox News.

The players were released and arrived back in the U.S. on Wednesday.

At a press conference, LiAngelo Ball said he would like to thank President Trump

and the United States government for the help that they provided as well.

That same day, UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero said the three young men had shoplifted

merchandise from three separate stores.

While the three players remain suspended indefinitely by UCLA and Coach Steve Alford said the players

exercised an inexcusable lapse of judgment, LaVar Ball was rather blas about his sons

arrest and release.

As long as my boys back here, Im fine, LaVar Ball said.

Im happy with how things were handled.

A lot of people like to say a lot of things that they thought happened over there.

Like I told him, They try to make a big deal out of nothing sometimes. Im from

L.A. Ive seen a lot worse things happen than a guy taking some glasses.

Trump, needless to say, wasnt terribly happy with a guy playing down something he

had apparently expended some level of diplomatic capital on in such a desultory manner.

So, he decided to go for a rhetorical dunk on LaVar.

Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail,

LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting

is no big deal.

I should have left them in jail! Trump tweeted Sunday.

Donald J. Trump ? @realDonaldTrump Now that the three basketball players are

out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting

of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal.

I should have left them in jail!

Shoplifting is a very big deal in China, as it should be (5-10 years in jail), but

not to father LaVar, he pointed out in a later tweet.

Should have gotten his son out during my next trip to China instead.

China told them why they were released.

Very ungrateful!

Donald J. Trump ? @realDonaldTrump Shoplifting is a very big deal in China, as

it should be (5-10 years in jail), but not to father LaVar.

Should have gotten his son out during my next trip to China instead.

China told them why they were released.

Very ungrateful!

Even before the China incident, LaVar Ball has already attracted significant media attention

for whats perceived as his over-involvement in his sons sporting ambitions.

Just days before LiAngelo was arrested in China, LaVar had complained about his son

Lonzos playing time with the Lakers even though the rookie has performed well under

expectations and his shooting is near an all-time NBA record low.

Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter with your thoughts on President Trumps

remarks.

Do you think LaVar Ball is being ungrateful?

Conor McGregor: Paulie Malignaggi explains why UFC champ won't release sparring footage - Duration: 7:45.

Conor McGregor: Paulie Malignaggi explains why UFC champ won't release sparring footage

A war of words between the pair ensued after Malignaggi left McGregors training camp for his August boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The former WBA welterweight champion departed Team McGregor after pictures from their sparring sessions started doing the rounds on social media.

Malignaggi believes the snaps, which showed him on the receiving end of punches from McGregor, were released to make him look bad.

Shortly after Malignaggi cut ties with McGregor, a video from his second sparring session with the Irishman was released by UFC president Dana White.

The clip appeared to show McGregor knocking down the former WBA welterweight champion, but its unclear if that was the case given the angle it was filmed at.

Following the release of the video, Malignaggi called for White and McGregor to release all the footage from their sparring sessions in order to give an accurate picture The New York natives request hasnt been met, and he doesnt think it ever will be.

No, hes not going to release that, Malignaggi told Starsport. If he releases that footage, everything he says is a lie.

Theres no way hes going to release that footage. Heres the thing about Conor McGregor: He understands the psychology of the term perception is reality.

He lives by that. He doesnt live by a true reality, he lives by a perception is reality type of thing. He makes things bigger (than they are).

"Hs not going to release that" Paulie Malignaggi on Conor McGregor releasing all the footage from their sparring sessions His accomplishments, when he accomplishes something, he makes it a bigger thing than what it is.

When something doesnt go his way it, hell make it as of little consequence as he can. In Malignaggis eyes, McGregors comments shortly after his TKO loss to Mayweather are a prime example of the Dubliner painting a false picture of events.

Like when he got stopped by Mayweather. He said they shouldve let him go down and all this stuff. Meantime, he stopped punching back! he continued. His entire fighting style is designed to not look back.

His entire fighting style, if he doesnt win, hes going to lose gracefully. Like in the Nate Diaz fight, if he keeps it standing up he gives himself his one chance of winning the fight.

If he takes it to the ground, he will be submitted, theres no doubt about it. Nate is just too good at Brazilian jiu-jitsu not to submit you.

If you stand up, you give yourself the one chance of winning the fight. If you stand up, youre fatigued and you have to suffer through that.

You might even get knocked out. Or nothing happens and you have to suffer your way through the next three rounds. Because they were only in round two. You have to suffer in the next three rounds.

And thats just going to look bad. Theres going to be a bunch of pictures, theres going to be a bunch of videos.

Or, if you just tap out and get submitted, it doesnt look as bad. You on the canvas knocked out cold is something that will be playing on videos.

So its the same thing with the Mayweather fight. Once hes uncomfortable, he stopped fighting, he stopped punching back. McGregor put on a spirited display against Mayweather before succumbing to fatigue, which resulted in him taking immense punishment.

McGregor was hailed for his efforts to keep fighting while battling fatigue, but not by Malignaggi who believes the UFC lightweight champion wanted the fight to be stopped. If he goes down, it looks really bad.

Theres going to be pictures, magazine covers and stuff, all kinds of stuff, he said.

But if he stops fighting altogether, like he did, and just basically looks as helpless as he can possibly make himself look by just stumbling all over the place as much as he can so that the referee is left with no choice but to stop it, he said.

Because lets face it, Chisanga, we all get tired around (round) nine. Were all in shape. You saw him training, you saw the pictures he put up on Instagram. Hes bicycling 100 miles a day or whatever hes doing.

Hes conditioned and hes in shape. We all get tired at a certain point, but were in shape. But he didnt want to be there. He didnt want to be there anymore.

(So he thought) how do I get the referee to stop the fight as fast possible because I dont want to be there? I make myself look as helpless as possible without going down.

That way, there are no pictures of me on the canvas. And then when the fight is over you dont have to take a punch. You dont have to take a single punch when the fight is over.

Because no matter what you say or no matter what anybody says, the fight is over. So nobody can punch in the face again.

So once its over, literally, hes talking again. They shouldve let me go out on the canvas, they shouldve let me go out on my back, this is a fight. All that stuff is all fine and dandy.

Except that when you went in there, you proved with your actions what you wanted. You proved with your actions that you didnt want to be there..

Nate Diaz v Woodley: Tyron reveals why UFC 219 bout hasn't been agreed

Last week, it was revealed that the UFC brass are trying to book a bout between their welterweight champion and the Ultimate Fighter season five winner. The shock contest is currently targeted for UFC 219, the promotion's end-of-year-card.

It's understood negotiations between both camps have reached an advanced stage, though an agreement to see the pair throw down has yet to be reached.

Woodley, who last fought at UFC 214 in July, is eager to take on the youngest Diaz brother, despite the fact he's currently struggling with a shoulder injury.

'The Chosen One' touched on a potential matchup between himself and Diaz yesterday evening during an appearance on The MMA Hour and claimed a deal to see him take on the Stockton native hasn't come to fruition because the TUF star has has made several 'excuses.' "I don't know," Woodley said Monday on told Ariel Helwani.

"He (Diaz) said there wasn't enough time.

He said I was a welterweight, he's a lightweight, even though he's fought at welterweight before and he fought Conor (McGregor) at 'welterweight.' "It sounds like a lot of excuses to me, but you know what, I'm not going to call out a man.

Maybe there wasn't enough money on the table.

I can't go on record because I don't know for 100-percent sure, but I believe part of them trying to go back to him and ask him about the fight again, they would have to go with more money.

"He said there wasn't enough time" Tyron Woodley on a potential fight with Nate Diaz Because if you call and ask him with the same money, the same date, the same opponent, and you don't have more money, then you're basically just asking him again and he's already said no.

"So hopefully they offer him a crap-load of money and we get the fight done." Should the fight come to fruition, Woodley is more than confident of handing Diaz his 12th professional loss.

He added: "I consider Nate not the type of grinding grappler, the static strength opponent that would present those problems (for my shoulder) — someone who's going to be in the clinch, who's defending takedowns, going for a lot of shots.

"Throwing a lot of power at Nate, I think that's how you lose to Nate, when you just try to one-punch shot him, because he has a strong chin, as him and his brother have shown time and time again.

They're volume punchers, they're cardio fighters. They try to do the mental warfare within the Octagon and before the Octagon.

"So, really, you never throw overhand rights to beat them, and I think I can stop him without my overhand right punch. He's not going to try to take me down.

I don't necessarily have to take him down. But if wanted to, I can't see it being much of a fight for him to stop me from taking him down.".

Creepy Alien Structure Spotted On Google Maps - Strange Conspiracy - Duration: 3:02.

Alien hunters claim to have found an alien structure on earth using google maps, and

I'm going to tell you all about it, here for you on IO.

What is good alien loving potatoes, charlotte here, excited to tell you about a crazy looking

structure that was found using google maps.

Near Egypt's red sea, a peculiar looking formation was spotted.

It's a spiral pattern that spins outward from the center.

It's made up of sand and holes in the ground.

UFOlogists were extremely excited when they saw it, I mean how difficult would it be for

humans to make this structure.

Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the formation is actually

artwork, made by three artists.

Danae Stratou, Alexandra Stratou and Stella Constantinides are the masterminds behind

it.

The art piece is called Desert Breath.

Its one million square feet in diameter, and its designed to showed the passage of time

and the nature of the landscape.

According to Danae Stratou – she imagines the world as two parallel realities.

There is the world inside, and the world outside of us.

It is through the senses that we are able to connect the inside to the outside world.

Desert Breath was completed on march 7 1997.

At the center, there used to be a body of water, but seeing as the structure is in the

desert and its been almost 20 years since it was created, the water evaporatedSlowly

but surely, the art piece is slowly disintegrating, and its also meant to measure the passage

of time.

I'm kinda sad that It's not an alien structre, but its still cool nonetheless.

. Imagine how hard I would have been to create this piece of land art in the middle of the

desert.

Crop circles and circular have almost always been associated with aliens and ufo's, but

some of the most famous ones ended up being hoaxes.

But there have been eyewitness reports that suggest otherwise.

In 1966, a farmer in Australia said he saw a flying saucer rise up froma swampy are and

fly away.

When he went to investigate, he saw a circular area of debris and flattened grass.

Reports of crop circles reached their peak in the 1970s and 80s.

Yes crop circles are real, but the question is, what or whom creates them?

Perhaps they are made by space ships that use invisible energy beams.

One molecular biologist, Horace drew, suggests that crop circles could be messages made by

human time travelers from the future, and they are designed to help them navigate our

planet.

And the simplest explanation is, that they are made by humans.

Do you think crop circles are made by aliens?

Let me know in the comments below.

Speaking of comments im going to respond to some of yours.

MØ) Lyrics

I'm walking down that road Where did all the flowers go?

They say we're supposed to grow Learning from the highs and low

All eyes lying on me, oh Begging me to play the role

'Cause I'm gonna get it right I'm gonna get it right

They can try to hold me down, but I am I'm gonna get it right

When the sky is filled with smoke and fire I'm gonna get it right

All I want is something better in the purple light

They can try to hold me down, but I am I'm gonna get it right

All my dreams are running wild I'm gonna chase them down

They said, "you can't lose your mind, hurry up, you're out of time"

I said, "I will rise and shine, even in the coldest night"

'Cause I'm gonna get it right I'm gonna get it right

They can try to hold me down, but I am I'm gonna get it right

When the sky is filled with smoke and fire I'm gonna get it right

Episode 18 Cause and Effect - Duration: 9:13.

One morning, Karen woke up feeling great

and excited to start her day.

She was new to the city and was looking forward

to this free week before starting her new job.

She could hardly wait to do some shopping,

explore her new city and just plain relax.

She decided to indulge herself with breakfast

at a quaint restaurant

she saw down the street.

Karen excitedly headed to her car,

looking forward to having a day all to herself.

She was stunned when she reached the parking lot

and saw that the carport had collapsed,

crushing her car underneath.

She asked herself,

"What if I was in the car!?"

She quickly realized that her day and probably

her entire week had been destroyed as she thought,

"What happened? What caused the collapse?"

Was it the wind, or was this new place of hers

just old and broken down?

She discovered that these

were not factors in the collapse.

It was actually human error.

A man driving a moving truck

backed into one of the supports

and it all came down on her car.

And then Karen asked the perennial question,

"Why me?"

I'm Dr Rich Masek,

the author of Ideolatry, God Is Not Your Problem

and today we will explore the concept

of Cause and Effect.

There is a foundational principle of the universe

that we come in contact with daily.

You may remember this phrase from a science class

in high school,

"For every action,

there is an equal and opposite reaction."

In the physical realm of science

it is known as Newton's 3rd Law of Motion.

The truck in Karen's story,

applied a force to the carport support which reacted

by collapsing the carport onto her car.

The application of this law in the physical world

has no moral implications.

It's simply a description

of how objects behave in our world.

However, this principle does carry significant

moral and ethical implications

when applied to human behavior.

In the realm of interpersonal human relationships,

some refer to this principle as Karma,

using the phrase,

Jesus also describes it

in what is known as the Golden Rule which

we read in Matthew 7:2 and 7:12

in the Easy to Read version:

Although there is ample opportunity

to apply this principle in a positive sense,

it is most often used to describe

negative activities and results.

One such instance is found in Proverbs 26:2

as both a warning and an explanation, as we read

from the Bible in Basic English.

The explanation

is that a curse or undesirable result has a cause.

The warning is "Don't do stuff that causes curses."

Human legal systems use this principle

by putting laws in place

to rule over the conduct of people.

Laws identify potential offenses

and prescribe a penalty or consequence

for engaging in that activity.

Thus, the cause of disobeying a law

brings an effect upon it.

The verse in Proverbs 26:2 applies

when we consider the effect or penalty

to be a curse.

Whenever something bad occurs,

our natural tendency is to ask, Why?

And the next question is frequently,

"Who is responsibl e?"

especially in our increasingly litigious society.

Sometimes the cause is obvious,

such as a driver who ignores a red light

at an intersection and

collides with another car,

or a truck backing into your carport.

In other situations, the one responsible for the cause

might not be so apparent.

The verse in Proverbs points to a cause and effect

relationship that is at work in our world.

A curse will not come unless there is a cause.

But people don't like to accept responsibility

for their actions and they frequently look

for others to blame,

just like Adam did in the Garden of Eden,

when he ate the fruit God told him not to eat.

However, we are all responsible

for our own choices.

But it wasn't Karen's fault

that her car got crushed,

was it?

The answer was no and yes.

Karen discovered that she actually parked

in the wrong parking spot.

Her assigned spot was around the corner.

She was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And even though her actions did not bring the curse,

her choice to park there put her in a place

that was impacted by the curse

caused by the negligent truck driver.

The driver was held responsible

for his careless action

and his insurance company paid for the damage.

And there was a silver lining for Karen.

She got to go shopping for a new car.

And next time she'll park in her spot!

But sometimes it may seem that the legal system

is built around relieving a person of his or her

personal responsibility, or lessening the

consequences of his or her actions.

Some may try to shift responsibility

and excuse those who break certain laws

for a variety of reasons.

Perhaps the individual had to endure

difficult circumstances

and that's what made them do whatever they did.

Others may claim that the government is responsible

or maybe it's just the fault of society in general.

Our legal process is designed to safeguard

an innocent person from being convicted,

because we can't always know with absolute certainty

what happened in a given situation.

However, God does not have that problem

as we see in Hebrews 4:12.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful,

God knows the innocence or guilt of a person

beyond doubt and to the point of intent,

not just actions.

However, He deals with us

in an entirely different way

than the legal system of the world does.

Even when we are guilty,

God does everything in His power

to make things right for us.

He doesn't do it

by using the technicalities of the law,

He pays our penalties for us,

suffering the consequences Himself,

as seen in John 3:16-17.

God puts His love into action

and is willing to accept the blame

for events that are not His doing.

God posted bail for us and then let Jesus

stand trial for our sins.

Jesus bore the punishment,

and through God's grace, we go free.

This is the Mystery of Jesus and the power

of the love of the real God of the Bible.

Getting a true perspective of God's character

requires that we examine our own understanding.

Adam and Eve put their own intellectual understanding

above the explicit direction of God.

They chose to give more weight to their minds

and they worshipped those thoughts above God.

Cain did the same when he reacted out of jealousy

and killed his brother.

All three of them had their own perspectives

and versions of truth which they chose to obey.

Unfortunately, for them, they were all wrong.

I invite you to read Ideolatry to explore

this cause and effect dynamic and how

our limited perspective can skew our understanding.

Check it out at ideolatry.com

where you can read my Blog

and download the Free Chapter.

And I hope that you will join me for the next episode

in which we will explore

how you personally experience God.

- So excited.

- I'm glad, I'm glad everybody should, should be. Yeah.

- What is the likelihood that there would be a reunion with Caroline?

- Ahhnn.

- No, no, no. Okay.

- We're not doing that.

- I mean. - Nope, done with Caroline.

- There goes all my Caroline questions. - Yeah, like, you know what?

I'm into loyal people, she's so not.

And that's it. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

- If you had to choose from; table flip, chair push, or cake toss what is your most proud moment out of those three?

- I like the chair. - Okay. The chair, okay.

- Which was the most fun?

- Which was the most fun? - Yeah, I just like the way my arm looks when I do it.

- Yeah, I just like the way my arm looks when I do it.

- Yeah, yeah. You're like I can do that.

- No, I thought my arm looked good. - Yeah.

- Did you know? Did you blackout?

- I see the yoga come through. - It works.

- I see the yoga come through. - It works.

- Whose one person who reached out to you when you were away at camp that would surprise us?

- I have to say, which really touched me like so much, my fans were like so amazing.

I mean, I got so much mail that.

- Were the letters coming to you?

- Oh yeah. - And you got to read them all?

- I read them all, yeah. - Did you respond to them all?

- Hello. All I had is time. So what else would I do?

You know. You know, so yeah and that really, I swear.

Cause sometimes I would read the letters and I, it would bring me to tears.

I want to thank, you know, all my fans.

Whoever sent me a card.

- You're welcome.

- Yeah, no... - You too? You too? Alright.

- I mean, I had this one, my one fan that's from Hawaii,

she sends me a birthday card, a Christmas card, all the time.

- Really? Can we get on your mailing list? - Yeah.

- Alright, after this.

- So, this is what we do on the show. So we're going to do it here too. Okay?

- Yeah, let's do it.

- Wait, are you tossing a glass?

- No! - Oh, good!

- We're like, "psych!" - I thought you were.

- Yeah. - We're very classy.

- So we're here to also talk about the book Standing Strong. - Okay.

- Which, this is probablly your most real. - I thought you were going to break a glass.

- No. - Like a wedding?

- This is your most real...

- No, like that's what we did in Milan. - Oh.

- I mean we didn't do it. I didn't do it.

- Right. You didn't take part.

- Oh no, I did do it. Oh my, God, wait til. - Yeah.

- Oh, we're going to see that?

- I don't know, you're gonna see, tune in.

- Okay. - Do you want some?

- It's wine. - You can have some.

- Oh, we're having wine. - Yeah. - We're having wine.

- It's like a little fabellini.

- Oh my god, I love that.

- Yeah, but we made it ourselves.

- Look at this bag... - Should I wait? Are we going to do chin-chin?

- No, let's just keep it rolling.

- Yeah, have a sip you deserve it.

- So in the book, um, this is your most, I want to say...

- This is so good. Thank you. - Right? Right?

- We bring gifts to you in person. We don't write letters.

- I love this. - I'm just kidding we write letters too.

But in your book this is probably your most real one, we feel like,

yeah, because you're really talking a lot about how you actually feel about what took place

with all the legal issues and where Joe is now and how you're kind of saying like how this is bothering me...

- Oh, there's my book. - And this is. I was like, what, and unscripted moment.

Um, and you're really talking about how, you know, you're upset with how Joe handled all the situation.

I feel that as a fan we feel like we can relate to you in that way.

I feel that as a fan we feel like we can relate to you in that way. How hard was it to really write your honest feelings about how things were going for you at the time?

How hard was it to really write your honest feelings about how things were going for you at the time?

- What brought it on, you know, was the passing of my mom.

And I got really upset.

I got mad at Joe, I'm like those eleven and a half months that I spent away

I could have been with my mom. - Totally.

- I got so angry, and I was just like, why did you do this to us?

And not only with my mom, even my daughters that they had to go through this.

So and I'm like, "Why are you on top of everything?"

And then, you know, we talked, and I told him I was writing all this in the book.

And he was fine with it and it was therapeutic for me to get it out.

- Absolutely. - Purge that.

- Yes, you're right, that's the, purge it and like move on.

- You can trademark me for that if you want to. - Yeah, I love it.

- Right. Okay. - No, and move on and like start new.

- And he apologized and he said sorry and he's like, "You know, when I come home I'm going to make things better."

- Sure. - "And I'm going to make sure that I'm on top of everything."

And you know, he admitted that he trusted the wrong people.

No one is perfect. - Right.

And I know he didn't mean to do it intentionally,

but I just got mad after, you know, when I lost my mom like I was just so upset.

- Waste of time - Yes.

- So the rumors that we're reading or that we're hearing

are that you're keeping your options open for when he gets out of prison.

are that you're keeping your options open for when he gets out of prison. And is there truth to that?

And is there truth to that?

- Well, you know, I'm waiting for him til he gets home and you know,

I'm hopeful he is gonna be a better person, you know, he is going to change for the better.

But listen, I can't predict the future.

- Uh, I wish. - You know.

- I would have never predicted that, you know,

if you asked me like before the show, as soon as I did the show,

"Was I ever gonna go to prison?" - Right

- I would have said, "Are you smoking crack?" - Or become a yoga instructor.

- You're like, "Thirty percent."

- I would be like, "Are you smoking crack?"

- No! I'm serious. - Yeah, right.

- Like never. - And now your here standing stronger.

- Right and that's... - And standing strong.

- So that's what I mean, so I can't predict the future, but I'm hopeful, you know, everything will work out.

- Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us. - Thank you so much!

- You guys can pick up the book... - And I am standing strong.

- right now on Amazon and in your local bookstores.

- And I love your energy. All you guys.

- We're just so happy to be here. - Well, I mean we're on methamphetamines for this.

- I love it. - No, too much?

- Can I have one?

- Yeah, that's whats in the bag for after. - I like the wine.

- And make sure that you guys tune in to Bravo every Wednesday night at nine

to watch Teresa and all of her friends on Real Housewives of New Jersey.

- Thank you so much! - Bye, guys. - Bye.

BBC 6 Minute English - Business English: Describing sales - Duration: 6:05.

Welcome to 6 Minute English!

I'm Feifei, And I'm Neil.

And in today's programme we're talking about – err, actually, what

are we talking about today Neil?

Well, I've made a big decision today Feifei.

Everybody has a mobile phone and I'm not like everybody, I am an

individual, so I've decided to get rid of my phone.

But everyone in this country has got a phone.

That's just the point.

I've got this report from Ofcom, the UK telecoms regulator that says that 92% of UK

adults now own a mobile phone.

Apart from you.

Apart from me.

Oh, but that's just you being special.

Anyway, more and more people are now actually buying mobile phones,

not just in the UK but across the world.

That's true, and manufacturers are always designing better

handsets so that they can sell more and more, and increase their

profits.

Yes, like new smartphones that allow you to search the internet

and make phone calls, but companies have to keep up with the

latest technology to survive.

True, otherwise you might hear this kind of report in the news.

It's been a bad year for the company, although it started well with an

unexpected rise in sales of their new phone.

In fact sales rose in the first quarter and peaked in March, with over 10,000 being

sold.

But following the launch of a rival's new smartphone, sales declined steadily.

It decided to cut its prices in June which caused a boost in sales, but they

then fluctuated and finally levelled off in September.

Since then, it's selling only around 1,000 handsets a month.

So an interesting year for this phone company.

Did you get all that?

Well, I was trying to follow what happened.

There was a lot of going up and down.

Oh, hang on.

What's that?

Hang on a minute, it's the phone.

What?!

Hello, yes, yes.

Of course, Betty.

Is that Business Betty?

Yes.

She's stuck outside and she wants me to let her in.

Come on in!

But before we carry on, I thought you just said you don't have a

phone?

I don't have one, it's just for emergencies.

But that's still a phone.

But you need one for emergencies.

Hello Business Betty!!

You're just in time!

Just in time, good good!

Now, what can I help you with today?

Can you go over some useful language for describing sales in

business?

I'd be delighted.

So, to start with, when you're talking about sales,

you need to give a general overview.

You could say 'The situation is good'.

The situation is good.

And then to explain the situation, you can say 'We can see from the

sales figures that…'

We can see from the sales figures that…

Or, 'As the graph shows…'

As the graph shows…

Next you need some key vocabulary to describe sales figures.

There are lots of words you can use to say that sales have gone up.

We can say 'increased'.

Increased: Sales increased in January.

Rise.

Rise: There was a large rise in sales in February.

Or the past of rise: rose.

Rose: Sales rose last year.

If things changed a lot and went up and down, you can say 'They

fluctuated'.

Fluctuated: Sales fluctuated for two months.

And when sales reach their highest point, you can say 'They have

peaked'.

Peaked: Sales peaked in December.

That's right.

And when sales remain steady and don't change 'They

are level' or 'have levelled'.

Level or levelled: Sales finally levelled in September.

Thanks Betty, all very useful.

But what happens when a company's sales are very bad?

Then you might say that 'Sales have declined' or 'dropped'.

Sales have declined or sales have dropped.

Now that's not good news, but you've been brilliant.

Thanks Betty.

You're welcome.

Bye bye for now.

Bye.

I think things are a lot clearer now.

Yes, crystal clear!

So do you know what that means?

Time for me to be the boss in the role-play!

I'll be the boss.

Again!

Yes again, and you need to come to me and tell me about our sales

figures – they better be good.

Come in.

Hello Feifei, I've got those sales figures you asked for.

Great.

Please give me the details.

This graph shows the monthly sales of mobile phones for last year.

We can see that sales of mobile phones declined steadily in

January, but then increased in February.

So they're on the rise?

Yes, but they fluctuated considerably in July and August, reaching a

peak of 6,200 per month in September.

So that was our biggest month for sales?

Actually no.

Sales levelled off in October through to November.

But by December there was a large rise, as you

can see on this graph.

A large rise, excellent.

Bonuses all round!

Were you happy with the sales figures Feifei?

Of course, a large rise in sales at the end of the year is brilliant!

So about the bonus you mentioned?

When would I get that?

Neil, it was just a role-play.

No, but you said I'd get a bonus, so…

That's all we have time for today.

Say goodbye…

Bye!
