Youtube daily report Dec 24 2017

According to the Qur'an, Jesus was a prophet of Islam, his followers were Muslims, and

the Gospel is the inspired, preserved, authoritative Word of Allah.

But when we go to our earliest records, we find Jesus claiming to be the divine Son of

God who would die on the cross for sins and rise from the dead.

Jesus' followers proclaimed him as their risen Lord.

The Gospel that Christians have been reading for nearly two thousand years tells us that

anyone who claims to be a prophet but rejects Jesus' death, resurrection, and deity is

a false prophet and an antichrist.

So if the Qur'an is right about Jesus, why does all of the available evidence tell us

that the Qur'an is wrong about Jesus?

Well, our Muslim friends have an answer.

The reason our earliest evidence so thoroughly contradicts Islam, they insist, is that our

earliest evidence was corrupted.

But who corrupted it?

Notice that their options here are quite limited.

Muslims can't blame Jesus for corrupting the evidence, since Jesus was a Muslim prophet,

according to the Qur'an.

Nor can they blame Jesus' original disciples for corrupting the evidence, since Jesus'

original disciples were devout Muslims, according to the Qur'an.

So they need a villain who wasn't Jesus or one of his original disciples, but who

was still powerful enough to corrupt Christianity in the first century.

Who had that kind of power in the first century?

The only name that Muslims have been able to come up with here is Paul.

So if you've ever wondered why Muslims spend so much time attacking Paul, it's not because

Paul is somehow especially untrustworthy or controversial; it's because they have no

one else to blame for Muhammad's abundant historical blunders.

But there's a problem here.

It only makes sense to blame Paul for all of the evidence that contradicts Muhammad's

claims if Muhammad is significantly more reliable than Paul.

If Muhammad is less reliable than Paul, it makes no sense to point a finger at Paul whenever

Muhammad gets something wrong.

In other words, if I catch Person A making numerous false statements, and I ask him how

I can trust him when he's making so many false statements, and he says, "It's Person B's fault;

he corrupted all of the evidence and made my statements seem false,"

but Person B turns out to be far more trustworthy than Person A, it becomes impossible to take

Person A seriously.

So the question we should be asking is this: Whose claims about Jesus are more reliable,

Paul's or Muhammad's?

In this series, I'm going to offer a few reasons to trust what Paul says about Jesus

over what Muhammad says about Jesus.

And when I say a "few" reasons, I mean twenty-five of them.

Some of these reasons, taken individually, wouldn't be enough to reject what Muhammad says.

But when we consider all of the reasons together, it's pretty clear that Muhammad's claims

about Jesus are about as reliable as a CNN special on the origins of Islamic terrorism.

Hi everyone.

BOMBSHELL!!! TRUMP Just Uncovered Why The VETERANS Are DYING AT THE VA!!! - Duration: 6:07.

BOMBSHELL!!!

TRUMP Just Uncovered Why The VETERANS Are DYING AT THE VA!!!

This is not how we're supposed to treat our wounded vets!

In another move to drain the DC swamp President Donald Trump's administration has been able

to uncover a truly sad fact from the Veteran's Affairs hiring practices.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has been allowing its hospitals across the nation to

hire Doctors and Nurses with revoked medical licenses.

This is a practice that has been going on for at least 15 years and is in violation

of federal law.

But the VA issued national guidelines back in 2002 where it gave local hospitals discretion

to hire clinicians after "prior consideration of all relevant facts surrounding" any revocations.

just as long as they still possess a license in one of the 50 states.

WHAT????

But this is in directed contradiction to a federal law passed in 1999 which bars the

VA from employing any healthcare worker whose license has been revoked by any of the 50

states.

Can someone please tell me why we are treating our vets like second class citizens.

While if you go to any top-notch emergency room in the nation all you see is how they

are being inundated with illegals who will never pay a dime for their treatment and have

never done anything for this country other than break the law to take advantage of our

naiveness and generosity.

USA Today Reports:

Veteran patients in imminent danger at VA hospital in D.C., investigation finds

WASHINGTON — Conditions are so dangerous at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical

Center in Washington, D.C., that the agency's chief watchdog issued a rare preliminary report

Wednesday to alert patients and other members of the public.

The VA inspector general found that in recent weeks the operating room at the hospital ran

out of vascular patches to seal blood vessels and ultrasound probes used to map blood flow.

The facility had to borrow bone material for knee replacement surgeries.

And at one point, the hospital ran out of tubes needed for kidney dialysis, so staff

had to go to a private-sector hospital and ask for some.

The hospital, which serves more than 98,000 veterans in the nation's capital, lacks

an effective inventory system, the inspector general determined, and senior VA leaders

have known about the problem for months and haven't fixed it.

Investigators also inspected 25 sterile storage areas and found 18 were dirty.

"Although our work is continuing, we believed it appropriate to publish this Interim Summary

Report given the exigent nature of the issues we have preliminarily identified and the lack

of confidence in VHA adequately and timely fixing the root causes of these issues,"

VA Inspector General Michael Missal wrote.

The inspector general rarely issues such preliminary findings.

The last time appears to have been in January 2015, when his office found lapses in urology

care at the Phoenix VA were endangering patients and required "immediate attention."

The VA set up an incident command center on March 30 when the inspector general notified

officials about the problems in Washington; it sent logistics specialists, technicians

and managers to fix the problems.

Such actions, Missal said, are "short term and potentially insufficient to guarantee

the implementation of an effective inventory management system and address the other issues

identified.

"Further, shortages of medical equipment and supplies continued to occur…, confirming

that problems persisted despite these measures," he wrote.

After the report's release Wednesday, the VA issued a statement saying that the medical

center director, Brian Hawkins, was relieved from his position and placed on administrative

duty, "effective immediately."

"The department considers this an urgent patient-safety issue," the statement said.

"VA is conducting a swift and comprehensive review into these findings.

VA's top priority is to ensure that no patient has been harmed.

If appropriate, additional disciplinary actions will be taken in accordance with the law."

New VA Secretary David Shulkin told USA TODAY earlier this week that he welcomes outside

oversight with hopes it will help him fix the beleaguered agency.

The inspector general's investigation, which stemmed from an anonymous complaint on March

21, found that during the past three years, there have been 194 reports that patient safety

has been compromised because of insufficient equipment.

Among the findings:

• In February 2016, a tray used in repairing jaw fractures was removed from the hospital

because of an outstanding invoice to a vendor.

• In April 2016, four prostate biopsies had to be canceled because there were no tools

to extract the tissue sample.

• In June 2016, the hospital found one of its surgeons had used expired equipment during

a procedure

• In March 2017, the facility found chemical strips used to verify equipment sterilization

had expired a month earlier, so tests performed on nearly 400 items were not reliable

Missal said that the practices have placed patients at "unnecessary risk," though

so far, the Office of Inspector General has not determined if patients were harmed.

"The OIG's work is continuing and will include an assessment of whether patient harm

has resulted from any of these inventory practices in its final report on the Medical Center,"

he wrote.

This better change very quickly.

Our troops deserve all from us and illegals deserve nothing.

Although the VA is claiming it's very hard to follow all the 66 thousand regulations

they are required to abide by there is no excuse for forgetting the one that states

you can't hire a Doctor with a suspended license to practice medicine.

It's common sense.

And to think, Obama and the Democrat Party convinced the American People that our government

can take care of HealthCare better than the private sector can.

What do you think about this?

Please share this news if you agree our VETS deserve it all while illegal aliens deserve

nothing.

Historical Sources: Paul vs. Muhammad (PvM 1) - Duration: 4:23.

When we try to assess the reliability of two historical figures, one of the first questions

that comes up is: "How much do we really know about them?"

And the answer to that question will depend on how early our sources are.

Our records of Paul's life are much earlier than our records of Muhammad's life.

And here I don't just mean that Paul came centuries before Muhammad and so we have earlier

sources for Paul's life.

I mean that, when we talk about the teachings and deeds of Paul, the biographical sources

we use are much closer to the events they report than the biographical sources we use

when we talk about the teachings and deeds of Muhammad.

Our earliest biographical sources on Paul were written during the lifetime of Paul.

The Book of Acts was written in the early 60s, before Paul was martyred, and it was

written by a traveling companion of Paul, who was an eyewitness to many of the details

he reports.

We also have numerous letters written by Paul himself.

Our earliest detailed biographical source on Muhammad is Ibn Ishaq's "Sirat Rasul Allah,"

which was written more than a century after Muhammad's death.

And we don't even have what Ibn Ishaq actually wrote.

We have an abridged version that was sanitized by a later scholar.

And we shouldn't forget that many Muslims don't trust Ibn Ishaq.

When Muslims quote stories about Muhammad, they're usually getting their information

from sources like Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, which were written two centuries after

the time of Muhammad.

But it gets worse.

The main reason for composing works like Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim was that Muslims

were composing so many false stories about Muhammad, people didn't know what to believe.

Scholars like Bukhari decided that they needed to collect stories they thought were accurate

in order to distinguish them from the ever-increasing supply of false narrations.

Now if Muslims during the time of Bukhari were inventing stories about Muhammad, what

about the generation before that, and the generation before that, and the generation

before that?

Two centuries is a lot of time to make things up.

That's why it's always good to have sources written within the lifetime of the person

you want to know about, or at least within the lifetimes of the eyewitnesses.

When we learn about Paul, we learn about him through first-generation eyewitness accounts.

When we learn about Muhammad, we learn about him through late sources, written by people

who didn't know him, whose parents didn't know him, and whose grandparents didn't

know him—people who were fishing for historical facts in a sea of fabrication and deception.

A few years ago, the crumbling historical foundations for the life of Muhammad led the

Islamic scholar Muhammad Sven Kalisch to conclude that Muhammad probably never existed.

I don't agree with Dr. Kalisch's conclusion about Muhammad's existence, but when even

Muslim scholars are starting to recognize how difficult it's become to take Muslim

sources seriously, our confidence in the historical Muhammad vanishes faster than a Muhammad cartoon

posted on Facebook in Pakistan.

Paul vs. Muhammad: Old Testament Knowledge (PvM 3) - Duration: 4:42.

Both Paul and Muhammad claimed that their revelations were consistent with the Old Testament.

But only one of them had actually read the Old Testament.

Can you guess who it was?

The Apostle Paul was a Pharisee, who studied under Gamaliel, one of the greatest Jewish

rabbis of the first century.

Paul knew the Old Testament inside and out, which is why he quotes the Old Testament so

frequently in his writings.

This is important, because Jesus claimed to fulfill a variety of Old Testament prophecies,

and you can't really examine this claim if you don't know what the Old Testament says.

Muhammad was almost completely ignorant of the Old Testament, because his knowledge of

the Jewish scriptures was limited to what he heard in conversations.

Not surprisingly, despite Muhammad's numerous interactions with Jews in Arabia, the Qur'an

contains very few quotations from the Old Testament.

Due to his ignorance of the scriptures, Muhammad couldn't tell the difference between stories

that were in the Torah (and, therefore, divine revelation), and stories from later Jewish

writings and commentaries, some of which were so late and so obviously fabricated,

they weren't far beyond the level of bedtime stories.

Imagine how amusing it must be for someone who specializes in Jewish literature to read

the Qur'an and find so many fables being presented to Muslims as revelation—

Cain being taught how to bury the dead by a raven, Solomon listening to a speech by an ant.

As a general rule, if you're going to plagiarize history, you don't start with Mother Goose

or the Brothers Grimm.

But Muhammad just didn't know enough to distinguish scripture from non-scripture.

Muhammad's ignorance of the Old Testament is also noteworthy because, like Jesus,

he claimed to fulfill Old Testament prophecies.

If Muhammad had been more knowledgeable of the Torah, he would have known that he couldn't

possibly be a prophet, for numerous reasons.

For instance, Muslim sources report that Muhammad once delivered what are now called

"the Satanic Verses" to his followers.

These verses promoted prayers to three pagan goddesses: al-Lat, al-Uzza, and Manat.

Muhammad bowed down in honor of these polytheistic verses, and his followers bowed down with him.

But a little later, Gabriel confronted Muhammad about his sin.

Muhammad confessed, in "The History of at-Tabari," Volume 6, page 111:

"I have fabricated things against God and have imputed to Him words which He has not spoken."

So Muhammad admitted that he delivered a revelation that didn't really come from God.

Why is this important?

Well, in Deuteronomy 18, verse 20, God declares:

"But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded,

or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death."

Muslims claim that they respect Moses.

But if Muhammad had delivered the Satanic Verses during the time of Moses, Moses would

have ordered the people to pick up stones and stone him to death as the most obvious

false prophet in history.

Muhammad didn't realize this due to his lack of familiarity with the Jewish scriptures,

which is why the motto of Islam has always been, and always will be:

"Ignorance is bliss."

Q&A with Chou | Baby I'm real!😚 - Duration: 8:50.

Hi guys!!

Today Chou sits here to do...

Chou has an super special announcement!

This is... Chou has created an official Youtube Channel!!!

Honestly, Chou really likes to watch video of bloggers from all over the world

and Chou usually records all the activities in my daily life.

But Chou doesn't know where they can be uploaded and not dissapeared in 24hrs just like Instagram Stories.

So Chou decides to make this video and more videos to share my daily life.

Let's zoom the camera a little bit!

Chou has stayed in Sai Gon for 1 week.

But Chou has to work continuously.

Now Chou is living in a super cute hotel.

Chou always stays here, everytime Chou comes to Sai Gon.

Let's take a look around this room!

Chou will show the new camera to record this video.

It's look nice, right?

The camera name is Chou <3

Chou will show my room in this hotel.

This is my sweet bed ever.

Oops! Forget folding blanket.

Regularly, I always do it.

What is thisss?

It's bathroom. Oops! Nothing to see, let's go out. Hehe

We come to the living room.

The most favourite thing in this room is this great TV.

I can watch movie very comfortable.

But the greater thing is... we have a kitchen in this room.

Chou can boil the eggs, chicken and make a salad easily.

But.. this is the secret and Chou will reveal it in other video.

And do you know what is it?

The largest windows ever.

Oops. it's so bright!!! I will fix it.

We can watch the beautiful scene of Sai Gon easily. Let's go outside!

Do you see it???

Hong Ha Tower? The highest tower in Sai Gon?

Oops. Hong Ha Tower is in Ha Noi.

Sorry about my mistake.

Now... We will start to the main part of this video.

*oops. The blowing feather!*

We continue to the main part of this video

This is.... Q&A.

Frist, I will set up the camera.

Is it ok?

Let's get started!!

I have received a lots of question since yesterday.

And I can't answer all of these.

So Chou will filter some questions to answer.

Q: I want to pursue the modeling career like you

but everybody around me all says I don't have that talent. No one believes in me

I'm not gonna give up, but I don't know what or where to start. Can you share us your beginning days?

Hmm, about my early days… Actually, It started from a day that I was going to the cinema.

When I went to the toilet and came back, I found out a lady was waiting for me.

She kept staring at me quite long then asked for my number.

"I have taken part in a lot of photoshoots." – she said.

Of course I gave her immediately.

I always love taking or being taken pictures before

though it was taken by myself or my sister.

So when that lady wanted my phone number

I absolutely felt happy.

Finally, I found out that she's Hoang Ku's Make Up Artist

and he took me to many shoots of his clothing store.

It's been 2 years since I stepped in the modeling job.

Q: Hey Chau, are you short-sighted?

Yes, 7 degrees. *Oh wait wrong hand*

7 degrees!

That's what no one believes in and I guess all of you guys are curious about this.

I hadn't been shortsighted since I was in grade 3. At that time all of my classmates wore glasses, except me.

I was so annoyed,

but my mom didn't allow because "you're not short-sighted so why do you wear glasses?" *angry*.

Then I decided to read books and comics all night long while wrapping myself in a blanket, using only torch as my light source.

It took 1 month in my summer and I was finally able to wear glasses – as my wish, at first 3 degress.

and I regreted ever after all.

My eyes get weaker day by day and it reaches 7 degrees or more this moment.

Always have to wear contact lens.

Q: According to you, what have you changed when you became public figure?

What is your personal future development directions and

whether or not to change yourself into a completely new and better person?

I still remember that moment 2 years ago when I started shooting for Hoang Ku.

He always kept asking me like: "Hey Chau, why you only smile when shooting?

How can you always laugh?"

Apparently, my life before enrolling to modeling career was pink.

Til now, people around me wonder why I have that cold face or these sharp eyes.

After a lot of things happened, meeting so many people, working in this industry and meeting troubles,

Naturally, myself became a different person – and I can't explain why I changed that much.

I think I could never take back my 17-year-old bright smile once again.

Try smiling a lot but I feel my smile right now is kinda weird.

Following this career also means you can hear a bunch of untrue stories

that does not know where they're from about yourself.

Little by litte, you can't sit still like old times.

However, working in this industry, there are always good and bad people,

and if we just focus only on darksides

and deny our efforts, it will be mistaken.

That's why my fans are my motivation all the time.

They makes me feel they expect so much in me,

they want me to do this video,

want to hear about my daily life.

You're my biggest motivation!

coming to the next question

Omg I am so in the mood for answering you guys.

Q: How can you make your salad?

I've got tons of questions about salads.

From Instagram to Facebook, everybody cares so much about salads.

Therefore, I will give all of my beloved here a small gift about salad.

Q: Do you have any plans organizing an offline meeting in Saigon?

Back then my birthday, my fans sent me thousands of messages,

wanted to celebrate my birthday.

Unfortunately, I had to work the whole day

so they decided to celebrate a belate birthday for me.

I only remember that day, after landing, coming back from Sai Gon,

I immediately took a taxi to the bubble tea shop.

When I entered the room, everybody already waited for me.

They shouted out: "Châu Bùi is hereeee" and clapped hands.

Never did I think of a complete fanclub and I was amazed when so many lovelies appeared at the meeting.

All of my fans were adorable!

They were gathering around me,

asking me as their family members:

"Are you tired?", "How was your filming?",

They really took care of me.

"You shouldn't go on diet anymore. You are thin and beautiful you don't need to.",…

Then we selfied and took pictures together.

Only after that day did I recognize

that there are so many lovely people who are waiting and expecting good things from me.

This led me to do this video, to share about my daily life.

Recalling that day, feel so much love

Love and miss #TeamChouchou!

Really look forward to a meeting in Saigon.

I'm ready to get hugs from you guys!

I miss all of you a lot. Waiting to me all of you!!!

There are a lot of questions about Chou and Thang.

So.. I will answer one of these.

Q: Will you come back to the relationship? I really like your relationship. But you have broken up.

Hmmm... How I can explain it?

Honestly, Chou feels regret for this relationship

Chou's always proud of thing that we made for each other. So when we broke up,

this is really a hard time to get over it.

It's unsual to break up.

We're always good friends and get along with each other.

Thang helps me a lot in my life and Chou thinks

Chou always besides him, make him happy. He's always a crazy man.

We've been through together lots of things and helped each other.

And more secret things we keep for each other.

That's why we're always a good friend.

In the future, even anything else comes. Chou believes in our decision.

There are a lot of questions have sent to me.

But I can't answer all in this video.

Don't worry! Chou will make more Q&A video to answer all of your questions

This is my breakfast.

I'm eating now. Then I have to go to work.

Don't forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to support and encourage me.

Thank you all of you, guys!!!

"I Am Not A Robot" Shares How Yoo Seung Ho, Chae Soo Bin, And Uhm Ki Joon Stay Warm On Set

Even though temperatures are dipping these days, the set of I Am Not a Robot stays warm with the brimming passion of the cast and crew as they try their best to create a good drama.

Still, the main cast each have their own ways of chasing away the cold as they put their all into their roles.

New stills released by the drama give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the actors and what they do to fight against the cold weather.

The similarity between Yoo Seung Ho, Chae Soo Bin, and Uhm Ki Joon is that they all wear long padded jackets, a must for when temperatures dip low.

Chae Soo Bin is said to keep her energy up by keeping a bar of chocolate near her so she can have a small snack during breaks.

In the drama, Chae Soo Bin plays a humanoid so there are times when she has to wear nothing but her trademark pink dress for some of her scenes.

Despite this, the actress never loses her smile and Uhm Ki Joon added, I gain strength from seeing Chae Soo Bin. Yoo Seung Ho and Uhm Ki Joon can be seen sitting in front of a small heater between scenes so that they can stay warm and not jumble up their words due to the cold.

The production staff of I Am Not a Robot praised the main cast for their hard work as they said, We are always grateful to the three actors for giving their all for each scene theyre in.

There are a lot of scenes we have to film outside, and our set is in the suburbs, so when the sun sets, it gets so cold that it feels like your toes are going to freeze off.

Despite this, the three actors keep smiling as they give the staff words of encouragement and do their best to keep the atmosphere energetic..

I Am Not a Robot is the story of a man who has never dated due to his allergy to humans and a woman who has to pretend to be a robot.

The drama airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m. KST.

INFJ Personality : The Bad, and the Ineffable Things About INFJs - Duration: 4:22.

INFJ Personality: The Bad, and the Ineffable Things About INFJs

Each personality types have their own good and not yet so good side, depend on the way

you see it, it could be seen as power or weakness.

Actually, this four-letter tag called INFJ also weighs a lot really.

For some of you who are truly an INFJ, you may understand about what I'm going to show

you on this video.

However, if you still want to know what it means to be an INFJs, let's jump into the

not so wonderful parts about INFJs.

Like usual, if you find this information is helpful to you, make sure to like this video

and subscribe to our channel, so you won't miss any of our interesting update in the

future.

1 - Perfectionism

The same optimism and also concern for high achievement in quality that drive them to

do and to be their best (which is the good thing about INFJs) could likewise make INFJs

reluctant to share their knowledge and achievement with the world till they have actually achieved

perfection.

However the thing is, INFJs are hardly ever satisfied with just what they've accomplished

so far.

2 - Sensitivity

A Lot Of INFJs are also highly sensitive person (HSP), which make things even more complicated,

this characteristics makes INFJs prone to overstimulation from the environment, they

can easily getting injured by negative feedback from others, because they tend to take it

into their heart.

3 - Ungroundedness

INFJs have the tendency to be loosely when it comes to physical reality, struggling with

clumsiness (for instance, " Just how did I get this bruise."), spaciness, and an abhorrence

for practical details and tasks.

4 - Self-Criticism

Likewise, the self-contemplation that cultivates the renowned INFJ self-awareness (which is

also a good thing about INFJs) can often go in the wrong direction, this negative focus

can lead them to criticize themselves severely for their imperfections, denying themselves

the compassionate understanding that they show to others.

5 - Slow Processing

In most cases, INFJs ideas and understandings often develop slowly behind-the-scenes, which

makes people won't notice about it.

They also need some time to process things before responding.

In short, they're not the most effective in circumstances that ask for spontaneity, particularly

when it involves verbal interactions.

6 - Hard-won Trust

Most INFJs open up very slowly, they probably just reveal themselves one layer at a time,

this is due to the fact that they want to make sure the person they know is safe and

reliable, they don't want to make themselves vulnerable, especially if they're highly sensitive.

7 - Intensity

The intensity of INFJs love and caring are not just the faint of heart, and they're regularly

being advised by someone else to lighten up and not to take things seriously, which is

basically as opposed to their nature.

8 - Solitude

Though it is true that INFJs care deeply toward people they liked and also need a close connections,

they also consistently need to withdraw into total privacy.

This personal character could be inconvenient and difficult for others to understand, especially

if they didn't know enough about INFJs or introverts in general.

9 - One-sided Relationships

In relationship, INFJs usually discover that the amount of love and care they give is not

reciprocated, at least that's what they thought.

In some cases, they can be so focused on the other person and subordinating their needs

to theirs, or even failing to understand that they have needs whatsoever.

10 - Alienation

Well, this one is probably the most common thing about INFJs.

Most INFJs experience life with an understanding of just how different they are from the general

population, the feeling of being misunderstood, underestimated, and also invisible to those

around them.

All in all, that's the bad, and the ineffable things about INFJs.

Really cool information isn't it!

[Un je ne sais Quoi] Sweet Christmas with MERVEILLEUX from FRANCE, Washington D.C. - Duration: 14:25.

Merry Christmas!

This time, bakery.

A French bakery.

But before that, of course, kitchen first.

Let's go!

Let's meet the owner of Un Je Ne Sais Quoi!

Are we ready to go into the kitchen and show us around?

Yes, let's go!

Yeah, let's go!

So this is the table when we make the Merveilleux.

We make all our shavings for the Merveilleux.

This is a Yule Log.

So we make the Buche de Noel,

and it's the same recipe as the Merveilleux, but in the shape of a Yule Log.

So here we have two small mixers,

for the ganache, for the whipped cream.

Camille is our Pastry Chef.

She comes from Strasbourg (France).

Hello, my name is Camille.

I started working here since February (of 2017).

Hello everyone in France!

Yeah very nice, I love the French language that's filled in this kitchen.

It's awesome! Look at the authenticity right here!

This is the coffee version of a gigantic 12-person Merveilleux.

He's just layering cream… coffee cream, is that right? Yeah.

Yeah coffee cream on top of it, and then later on

he's gonna roll it on some nice chocolate shavings.

For the chocolate and the coffee inside, it's Valrhona.

Valrhona is the best chocolate in the world… almost!

Yes. Wow I didn't know that. Oh my gosh the best chocolate in the world!

Now he's making the chocolate shavings right here.

Those beautiful toppings for their Merveilleuxs.

Ohh… so it just sort of shaves on the bottom

and then comes out in the tray like this on the bottom.

This is a huge piece of chocolate!

Was this machine bought from here?

No, it's from Dutch.

From Dutch? Ohh! Yeah, Germany.

From Germany, oh wow!

Very expensive.

Ohh.

Very expensive chocolate shaving machine!

He just handed me this, one of the world's best chocolates here for me to try.

Valrhona.

Valrhona is one of the best chocolates in the world,

So I'm gonna take my first bite... I'm so excited!

Mmm…!

Dark chocolate!

Oh I love dark chocolate, this is so good!

I love that it's not very sweet!

No.

Mmm very good.

And hey, look over here!

He's putting three meringues on top.

We don't add sugar.

The sugar is only in Meringue.

No chocolate, no cream, only Meringue (has sugar).

Only in meringues, no additional sugar or chocolate.

So this machine next to me is actually whipping

the cream and sugar together making meringues.

And the meringues are actually the top and bottom of their signature pastry, which is

their Merveilleux, right here on my right.

So yeah, again it's the top and bottom of it, inside it's the cream of different flavors.

It could be chocolate, it could be coffee, white chocolate.

Yeah this is it!

This is all of the behind-the-scene right here in this tiny kitchen!

Alex here, she's been working here for about a year and a half,

and she can speak French as well!

You want to tell us what these are?

Sure, so these here are our brioche.

My personal favorite is the sugar ones, so there's actually some sugar cubes inside.

It's really tasty.

We also do them in chocolate chip.

I don't know if you can see.

Oooh yes we love chocolate.

We have them in cranberry as well.

Oooh look at that!

This is our Pain au Chocolat.

Chocolate inside a… like rolled inside a croissant.

This is our almond croissant.

So it's similar to a plain croissant, but it has this pastry cream with almond inside.

It's really tasty.

We also do that with the chocolate croissant.

So that's the almond and chocolate.

This is a bread pudding.

And so we actually make the bread pudding from… if we have brioche leftover from

the day before, we actually that's how we do our bread puddings,

so sometimes it's cranberry, sometimes it's chocolate chip.

Either way, very tasty.

A little bit of powdered sugar on top… yeah and it's pretty.

We have some baguettes here that we sell.

They come from Bethesda.

There are Christmas cookies.

Gateaux de Noel that are actually a Strasbourg recipe.

Because the owners are from Lyon, France and the pastry chef is from Strasbourg.

Do you want to tell us a little bit about the coffee too?

The coffee machine? Sure.

So this little badge here says "Artisti del Gusto."

It's recognize for coffee excellence, the drinks we serve.

Because we use this machine here with our Illy coffee blend.

So this machine and our trained staff as well as the coffee that we use

the Illy coffee that we use.

This badge of excellence for the coffees that we serve.

Okay! That's awesome!

Thank you! Yeah you're welcome.

So we have Grayson here, one of the other staff members.

Looks like he's making coffee.

Can you tell us what you're doing?

Yes, so I'm making a latte.

Umm so we grind the coffee, and then you crimp it like this, and get off of the coffee grinds.

And you put it in the machine here.

and then next we're gonna make the latte milk.

So you always prime it before you do the coffee.

And with the milk it's really important that you don't get a lot of bubbles,

especially for the lattes.

We try and do a nice design on top as well.

How long have you been making coffee?

Umm I've been making coffee about a little over a year now.

I've been working here a little over a year, since last November.

Oh nice!

There you go.

Wow. Beautiful, look at that!

Thank you.

You're welcome. Thank you so much!

First, of course I need to try their signature Merveilleux.

This is made of meringues,

and then outside it's covered with whipped cream, and then

just covered with layers of their homemade chocolate shavings

I think we got the chocolate flavor one.

Wow look at this. Look at the inside!

So I'm gonna take my first big bite of this Merveilleux.

This is a really big bite.

Mmm…

I feel like I'm eating snow!

So smooth and soft.

It's not super sweet.

I really feel like I'm eating like chocolate snow!

This is amazing!

Mmm…

By the way our latte isn't sweetened,

so, it goes really well with our sweet pastry.

Gotta have another bite!

It's almost like ice cream too.

It's not as creamy as it looks.

This is again, it's very powdery, like an ice cream.

I hardly had to chew, it just sort of dissolves in my mouth.

I love this chocolate snow!

Earlier inside the kitchen, Francois gave me

a small piece of their freshly baked puff, chouquette.

And this is basically a large version of it, and it's a cream puff

because it's filled with cream inside.

One thing to highlight is that

this cream puff was voted

on the Washingtonian article,

one of the best Washington DC's cream puffs,

so we definitely have to try this out!

Look at this, ooh look at how soft and delicate this dessert is! **speechlessly delicious**

Merry Christmas!

The cream is so soft.

It's like umm… how do you describe it.

Like cotton?

No, it's softer than cotton.

It's so smooth, like…

I don't know what to say.

This is so good!

The cream!

Oh my gosh!

That cream, I just need to have another… just pure cream without the pastry.

It feels so light.

It's obviously sweet, but it's not sweet like so heavy… like store-bought whipped

cream.

This feels very light… and just super smooth.

You just gotta come here and try this yourself.

The third dessert we got here is the Paris-Brest, and it's known for its bicycle circle shape,

almost like the American donut, but thinner, and lighter!

Inside it's stuffed, or filled with praline cream.

So I'm gonna dig in right now… my first bite.

And this is also made with choux pastry, which is a very light European pastry that they

use here.

Mmm…

I love the praline cream because it's very nutty.

And again, they really don't make their cream and their pastry super sweet, which

I really like!

It's almost… it's like chocolaty and nutty at the same time.

You know, it's really hard to eat multiple desserts all at the same time…

But here at Un Je Ne Sais Quoi, you can definitely do it, and make sure you enjoy your desserts

with a side of coffee!

This is a very fluffy butter croissant right here!

And it's pretty big!

Next, chocolate croissant (Sorry, I should have said Pain au Chocolat!)

Mmm… it's chocolaty, inside feels very airy and fluffy too.

Compared to the croissant, just the regular butter croissant, this is much more on the

chewy side.

It feels more filling compared to just the plain croissant.

And it added a little bit of sweetness to it cause' it has chocolate chips in it.

So we have one of the owners of Un Je Ne Sais Quoi right here, Aude.

First of all, can you pronounce the name of this pastry store again, and what does that

mean?

Yes.

The name is "Un Je Ne Sais Quoi."

That means "I don't know what."

It's something you can't explain.

You appreciate it, but you don't know what it's made of until you eat it.

So we wanted a special name for this place because the Merveilleux is quite unknown in

the U.S., and we didn't find this anywhere else… this pastry recipe.

Oh wow.

And since when was this opened?

I just want to make sure our audience know that.

Yes, so we've opened for one year and a half.

A year and a half now, so they just opened not super long ago, but it's been very busy

here.

That means you guys do a really good job with your pastries obviously!

So here in Washington, DC, there's a lot of pastry stores and bakeries.

So what does this particular pastry store make it different from other bakeries out

here?

So first of all, we make the Merveilleux, which is a French recipe from the North of

France.

We use lots of French products, like Valrhona chocolate, like sel de guerande (French sea

salt).

We use vanilla from Madagascar.

We have a French pastry chef.

We, because we wanted to involve the French skills, the French touch of pastries.

A lot of American people like to speak French.

They like to come here and speak French with us, and to practice French.

Oh that's awesome!

Which makes this place even more authentic!

Oh do you want to point out the… the five art works we saw in the front bar?

We wanted to create a wonderful atmosphere, so we asked a French artist from Bordeaux,

Claire Guiral to create one character per Merveilleux.

So she created a deer, a fox, a fairy, a jay, and an unicorn!

Five of them, they're made of papers.

They're really nice.

Everybody thinks they're edible, but they're not made of chocolate, they're made of paper!

Finally, we got to try their Christmas pastry right here.

It's the Napoleon!

Look at that Rudolph on top of it!

This is only available during winter time, for the holiday season!

I think I'll have to cut into this.

I really don't want to destroy the shape of the Rudolph right here, but I have to…

Oooh look at that crispiness of that pastry on top.

This is made of fluffy pastry dough, and inside is basically custard cream.

The cream inside is super custardy.

Again, it's not very sweet.

And that layers of Napoleon pastries just feel very fluffy and crunchy at the same time.

Oh and I just gotta take a sip of my mocha too.

Mmm…

I just really love how chocolaty this mocha is, and I don't think they put any sugar

in other than the cream… ok maybe a little bit of sugar because of the chocolate on the

top and on the side…

This is very warming.

It just goes perfectly with our pastries!

So we have our awesome couple here!

The wife, Aude, she is kind of the business part of, the face of the pastry store, and

we have Francois here, who is the master behind all their beautiful pastries and desserts

in the kitchen.

They work really well together guys!

Thank you very much!

Thank you so much!

Merci!

Merci beaucoup!

What an authentic French experience we had right here at Un Je Ne Sais Quoi!

Amazing owner couple right here that just started this pastry store with a passion,

and of just a simple reason of wanting to live in Washington, DC.

How amazing is that!

And their pastry, their cream, to every detail is so carefully made.

And just all of their desserts feel very delicate.

So I enjoyed my experience here a lot, I hope you did too!

Jesuit Post's "One-Minute Homily": God's Christmas Plans - Duration: 1:11.

We often have no idea

what we are truly capable of

but God does.

Hi I'm Tucker Redding and this is my One-minute Reflection

Of all the readings you might hear this weekend

a common story is that of Mary and Joseph

I can't help but think that Mary and Joseph must have had

big plans and dreams for their own lives.

They were called upon by God

to abandon their own plans

for something unknown

And their yes brought Jesus Christ into the world.

Sometimes God is calling us to do something different

than what we've planned for ourselves.

I remember when I was thinking about joining the Jesuits

and my biggest hang-up was with the Jesuit vow of obedience.

I thought it would be difficult to accept

someone else's plans for my own life.

After all, who can dream bigger for me than me? Right?

As it turns out God has bigger dreams

for us than we can even imagine.

Abandoning our plans can be scary

but through prayer and faith

we can put our trust into God's plans.

So, how are you being called to bring Christ into the world?

Merry Christmas from all of us at the Jesuit Post!
