Youtube daily report w Dec 21 2017

[♩INTRO ]

Ahh, winter.

The leaves have fallen, the breeze is chilly… and cold season has arrived.

When that sticky cough and sniffly nose hits, you probably cozy up with some hot soup, a

box of tissues, and your favorite brand of cold medicine.

There are syrups, pills, and vaporizers to treat about every symptom your cold can bring,

and they all involve some cool chemistry.

But before you down that bitter syrup, it might also help to know that not every cold

medicine is as effective as you'd think.

Colds are some of the most common infectious diseases we can get, but since they're caused

by more than 200 different viruses, it's been basically impossible for us to create

a vaccine against them.

So the best we can do for now is fight the symptoms.

Most cold symptoms are probably caused by your body's efforts to fight off the virus,

not the virus itself.

When you catch a cold, inflammatory proteins like cytokines, get released and tell your

immune cells to get to work fixing the problem.

Mainly, they do this by dilating your blood vessels so that infection-fighting white blood

cells can move around more easily.

Unfortunately, in your nose, those dilated blood vessels also lead to tissue swelling

and congestion.

Cytokines also interact with pain receptors in your esophagus, which can cause a sore

throat.

And in the nervous system, they can stimulate various nerves to trigger a runny nose, sneezing

and coughing.

None of those things are especially fun -- okay, really, they kind of stink.

So we've come up with all kinds of drugs to knock them down as much as possible.

When your nose is stuffed up, you'll probably reach for a decongestant to clear up your

sinuses.

Pseudoephedrine is a popular one, found in medications like Sudafed Decongestant and

Aleve D.

It's a carbon ring attached to a complex chain of other atoms, including nitrogen and

oxygen.

It reduces congestion by binding to receptors in your nose, which makes the muscles around

your blood vessels tense up and reduces the extra blood flow caused by cytokines.

Unfortunately, since pseudoephedrine is a stimulant, it can also can cause insomnia,

nervousness, dizziness, and even affect your heart rate.

It's even been used Breaking Bad-style to make methamphetamines illegally, which is

why it's kept behind the pharmacy counter.

Phenylephrine is a similar medicine, found in brands like Sudafed PE, but since it can't

be used to make meth, it's easier to buy.

Unfortunately, several studies have also found that it doesn't seem to be any more effective

than a placebo, which means it probably doesn't do much.

So, if that's your favorite decongestant… sorry.

Some colds can also cause chest congestion and coughing.

To clear out some of that mucus, many medications contain an expectorant, which helps you spit

up those lovely green gobs of phlegm.

***The most common one is called guaifenesin, which is a carbon ring attached to chains

of oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon atoms.

It's found in medicines like Mucinex.

We're not entirely sure why it works, but scientists think it suppresses the production

of mucins, one of the main proteins in the mucus lining your lungs.

That makes it easier for specialized cells to move mucus up and out of your body.

Still, that's just based on research done in a lab.

In patients, scientists have found that guaifenesin does seems to help thin mucus, but it might

not be that effective at clearing it from your lungs.

Some studies haven't found much of an improvement over a placebo in people with respiratory

infections.

But at least we know it helps somehow.

Now, maybe the most irritating symptom of a cold -- for you and everyone around you

-- is that nasty, lasting cough.

To help calm it, many medications, including Robitussin, contain a cough suppressant, like

dextromethorphan.

Dextromethorphan and molecules like it are made up of four carbon rings, along with some

oxygen and nitrogen atoms.

They're derived from morphine, a highly-addictive painkiller, but at the doses used in cold

medicines, they don't have the same potential for abuse.

We're not 100% sure how these molecules work, but they probably work on the brain

instead of the respiratory system.

When you take dextromethorphan, it crosses the blood-brain barrier -- the tightly-woven

net of cells in your brain's blood vessels that protect it from bacteria and infection.

And once it's there, it affects a bunch of different receptors.

Researchers think that it helps reduce coughing by binding to receptors for neurotransmitters

called NMDA, sigma-1, and serotonin, since other drugs that bind to them also seem to

suppress coughing.

Mainly, this tricks your brain into thinking there's no tickle in your throat and that

you don't really need to cough.

Then again, some recent studies have also found that dextromethorphan may not actually

be that effective, at least in kids, although many studies don't seem to be that reliable.

Outside of cold medicine, though, it does have some uses.

Because of its effects on the nervous system, it's also being investigated for use in

a bunch of different conditions, like treating anxiety and agitation in Alzheimer's disease

-- which is really cool.

Still, effective or not, all of these medications only treat the symptoms of the cold.

None of them actually do anything to help kill the virus or boost your immune system

-- except maybe by helping you sleep better.

Ultimately, the only thing that can cure a cold is time!

But these medicines will hopefully make things easier while you wait it out.

Qual país folga mais? FERIADOS Japão e Brasil | HOLIDAYS Japan & Brazil | どっちの方が多い?日本とブラジルの祝日 - Duration: 4:44.

Hey guys, genki?

This is Vivian from vivian uru channel! Welcome! =]

Today we are going to talk about HOLIDAYS! *YAY*

Which country do you think that has more holidays? Brazil or Japan?

You can start to guess and I will give you the answer and some interesting facts after the intro, okay?

And please, give this video a thumbs up and make sure to subscribe and activate the notification bell

because you are going to love this video and you will want to see more videos of mine, I just know it lol!

Here comes the intro!

Do you have your answer?

If you answered Japan, your answer is.......

Correct! o/

Brazil has 9 national holidays and Japan has 16!

Here's the list of the national holidays of each country.

However! There's a difference that here in Brazil,

besides the national holidays, we have also the state and municipal holidays.

Here in São Paulo, there's extra 6 holidays for example.

And we have the habit of amend the holidays, turning it into an extended holiday.

In Japan, tthere's also a memorial day for each province

but not all provinces actually celebrate it.

But Japan has in their holiday laws, 3 interesting systems that reminds the extended holidays in Brazil.

The 1st one is Happy Monday.

They moved some holidays to Monday so the population can rest for 3 consecutive days.

The 2nd one is the Make-up Holiday.

It reminds Happy Monday a little bit because when a national holiday falls on a Sunday,

the next working day shall become a public holiday.

It's so wonderful, right?

Unfortunately, we don't have it here in Brazil.

At last, there's the Population's Holiday.

Any normal day that falls between two other national holidays shall also become a holiday!

Of course the chance of it to happen is quite low,

and the only possibility would be on September,

when the autumnal equinox day and the respect for the aged day need to fall with 2 days of difference.

When it happens, this extended holiday is called Silver Week.

It can be called that way only if the holiday is actually of 5 consecutive days.

Like I said, it's something really rare to happen

and the next Silver Week is going to happen only in the year of 2026.

Besides Silver Week, Japan has also 3 other extended holidays.

Starting with the End/Beginning of the Year holiday.

The period of the holiday, tends to differ depending on each profession and company.

But on average, it's around from 29/12 to 03/01.

Then it comes the Golden Week.

There's all the holidays gathered from the end of April to the beginning of May.

The period of this holiday is usually from 29/04 to 05/05.

At last, there's All Soul's day.

Which are the dates that surround 15th of August.

Note that these days aren't national holidays

but everyone gets to rest to spend time with the family

and to honor the relatives that have passed away.

The priod of this holiday is usually from 11/08 to 16/08.

One of the reasons that Japan has many extended and national holidays

is because of the people who work, not taking their paid vacations properly.

It seems that people in Japan tend to use only 50% of their paid vacations,

which is 10 days out of 20 that they have the right.

While in Brazil, we have the right to take 30 days of paid vacations.

And it end up afecting them,,

causing physical and mental health problems.

Not to mention the deaths and suicides caused by overwork.

That's so tense,, right? x3

But how about you? How do you like to spend your holidays?

Let me know on the comment section! ^^

I hope you enjoyed this video and I'm counting on your presence on the next one, okay?

That's all for today's video.

Thank you so much for watching!

Hope to see you on the next video, okay?

Big kisses and mata ne~! <3

How Does Cold Medicine Work? - Duration: 5:16.

why it's kept behind the pharmacy counter.

Unfortunately, several studies have also found that it doesn't seem to be any more effective

Anticorpos - ajudando os leucócitos - Duration: 2:21.

Hello, little scientists, I am Professor Bill Tyson and together we are going to know different

forms of science.

In our last episode, we talked about leukocytes and their struggle to defend

our body from invaders.

But they are not alone, rely on the help of proteins called Antibodies.

Let's see how they act.

We are constantly attacked by microscopic organisms, which activate our defense system,

these organisms are called antigens.

We then have a specific leukocyte, called the B-lymphocyte, which recognizes

the invading cells.

Once recognized the antigen B lymphocyte initiates the production of antibodies.

They leave for the attack, attaching themselves to the antigen.

Some prevent the attacker from multiplying.

Some try to break down the plasma membrane.

While others call leukocytes to do phagocytosis.

Each type of antibody works with a particular type of intruder, in a process called Antigen-antibody.

The way the antibody connects is possible only if it is the antigen it fights.

Like a key, it opens only a specific type of lock.

And this ability to bind to the antigens is called agglutination.

Our body also has a great memory.

If our defense system fights an antigen once, it will not forget it.

And whenever this antigen tries to enter again the leukocytes and the antibodies will be there

to fight it.

For now, it's just personal, see you next time.

Hey guys.

Show small scientists that studying science can be fun,

and share this video.

She had wanted to make a baby with ex-husband Lamar Odom, but his drug habit ruined any

chance of that happening (along with the couple's marriage, of course).

Since then, Khloe has dated James Harden and French Montana, but it was pretty clear throughout

those romances that Khloe was looking for something more.

And she's found it with Thompson.

The two have been very hot, heavy and adorable for well over a year now.

They have no plans to marry, as far as we know, but they are in this for the long haul.

For several weeks now, folks had been wondering just how Khloe would go public with her expecting

state.

On an episode of her family's reality series?

On a tabloid cover?

In a sit-down interview of some kind?

Nope, nope and nope.

She simply went the social media route.

It remains unclear when Kardashian is due and what gender her first child will be.

(Thompson has a one-year old from a previous relationship.)

Here is how Khloe concluded her major reveal:

Thank you to everyone for the love and positive vibes!

I know we've been keeping this quiet but we wanted to enjoy this between our family and

close friends as long as we could privately.

To enjoy our first precious moments just us.

Thank you all for understanding.

I am so thankful, excited, nervous, eager, overjoyed and scared all in one!

But it's the best bundle of feelings I've ever felt in my life!

We're so very happy for her.

At some point in the next month or so, Kim Kardashian will welcome a third child via

surrogate.

Moreover, Kylie Jenner is pregnant with her first baby!

Amazing, right?

While we wait to see how Kylie will confirm her own major piece of stunning news, we'd

just like to say the following:

Congratulations, Khloe and Tristan!!!!!!!

How Does Cold Medicine Work? - Duration: 5:16.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow!

Besides over-the-counter medicines, you've probably heard how vitamin C or zinc can help

stop a cold -- but that's not true.

And if you'd like to learn more, you can watch our episode all about it to find out why.

Haunted Lighthouses With VERY Disturbing Pasts... - Duration: 11:00.

For hundreds of years, lighthouses have been used to keep ships and the people on board

safe from getting too close to dangerous areas.

As you will soon find out in these cases, the real danger was the lighthouses themselves.

We traveled to the most haunted lighthouses I could find and with numerous ghost sightings

at these locations, the horrible things that have happened there may explain these notoriously

haunted places.

In 1808 on the Great Lakes' coast of the Toronto Islands, the Gibraltar lighthouse

was constructed and eventually lit a year later.

Aside from it's typical historical value, the Gibraltar lighthouse has a dark past to

accompany it.

According to local lore, the lighthouse's first keeper had his life taken in his keeper's

cottage.

Apparently, his spirit has haunted the grounds ever since.

John Paul Radelmüller, the first keeper of the lighthouse, crafted his own bootlegged

beer according to the legend.

One night, a drunken group of men trespassed toward the cottage in search of the beer.

Of course, once they approached Radelmuller's home, a dispute broke out.

The legend claims that in a shotty attempt to cover their crime, the drunken men chopped

Radelmuller into pieces and scattered him along the grounds.

A jawbone and various other small bone fragments were found in the garden near the cottage,

though it was impossible at the time to confirm the DNA of the bones, locals obviously assumed

they belonged to Radelmuller who had been missing for several weeks at the time of this

discovery.

For decades, the mystery of Radelmullers passing was drawn out with many investigators simply

stating, "your guess is as good as mine".

Though some aspects of his passing were later confirmed, such as the story of the drunken

dispute and the aggressive nature of the time; many other points were either never confirmed

or entirely debunked.

Radelmuller's body was never actually hacked and hidden, instead he was buried in a local

grave yard without the public being made aware due to the popularity behind the passing.

Both professionals and tourists that visit the location claim that it is haunted by Radelmuller's

spirit who tampers with the lighthouse flag, calls out to tourists, can be seen in the

rocky areas near the shore, and moves equipment when repair teams are on site.

Entering the lighthouse, I already had an eerie feeling.

The cold winter weather didn't make me feel any more welcomed in the surrounding area

either.

Even hundreds of years later, barely anyone lives near this lighthouse, making it the

perfect grounds for a roaming spirit.

The friendly locals were not short on their own personal paranormal stories either.

The stairs leading up to the very top, were small and cramped.

I could imagine a lonely man climbing those stairs every day, knowing that if he missed

a single step and fell, no one would find him for a very long time.

As the massive city of Toronto is in sight for the top of the lighthouse, this small

island nearby stays mostly dormant in development, and it appears the ghost of Radelmuller isn't

going away anytime soon.

Now it was time to visit the next haunted lighthouse.

Peggy's Cove is an infamous lighthouse in Nova Scotia, with an intriguing mysterious

past.

The lighthouse was constructed in 1868 and first lit 47 years later in 1915.

The lore that follows this lighthouse is quite vague but effectively unsettling.

A young mother named Peggy lost her children in a shipwreck.

Suffering from the loss, she began to walk the shore near the lighthouse every night

and call out for the spirits of her children, or simply sob while kneeling beside the water.

One night, Peggy's husband decided to join her and attempt to make her feel better.

He danced along the rocky shore for Peggy in a silly display of comfort.

Unfortunately, her husband slipped on the wet rocks, injured his skull and passed away.

Peggy continued her nightly walks after the passing of her husband, in a worse state than

ever.

Eventually she took her own life by jumping to the rough waters below.

Visitors to the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse say that a woman can be heard singing, sobbing

and calling for her family in the evening hours or at night.

In addition, some visitors that stay near the coast claim to see her white ghostly figure

walk along the coastline.

The winds were so powerful around this lighthouse, that it made being outside next to impossible.

I could see multiple warning signs about not getting too close to the rocky edge, and locals

had told me the same thing.

Tourists in the past have made that mistake, and have fallen into the rocky

water below.

Once in those waters, there is no chance of survival.

This makes the story of Peggy's husband, 100% believable in my opinion.

I contacted the coast guard about getting access inside the lighthouse, and I explained

that I wanted to tell the story of Peggy.

Immediately, it seemed like the man was trying to get me off the phone as quickly as he could.

Days later I received a voicemail at around 5am from the same man, saying I was denied

access due to "safety concerns".

I found this strange because other media outlets were given access, and I could find their

videos here on YouTube.

Is there something they're trying to hide inside this lighthouse after I told them I

was looking into its history?

I guess we'll never know.

Finally, I want to talk about a lighthouse that we didn't get a chance to personally

visit, but is the home of an infamous ghost photo on the internet.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse was first lit around 1737, but was demolished and the lighthouse

you see here was built in 1824.

The most infamous ghosts at this lighthouse are two sisters, named Eliza, age 13, and

Mary, age 15, whose father was renovating the lighthouse in 1873.

It was during this year, that the two girls climbed in a cart used for transporting building

materials secured via a rope.

The rope snapped and it sent the girls towards the rocky waters.

Both girls sadly passed away.

Tourists can hear girl's laughter coming from the tower at night, and Mary has been

spotted wear the same clothes she was wearing when she fell into the rocky waters below

that fateful day.

In this infamous ghost photo, a woman can be seen sitting on the edge of the lighthouse.

Do you think it's Eliza or Mary?

The photographer said the lighthouse was completely empty when it was taken.

Hillary Clinton has wanted to be president for decades, and last year she really thought

she would win.

Hillary had the support of the crooked liberal mainstream media, money from George Soros,

celebrity endorsements, and of course, voter fraud galore.

Everything was lined up correctly for Hillary to be crowned but that all changed the moment

Donald Trump stepped onto the scene.

The tough-talking New Yorker dashed Clinton's chances for a presidential win and in the

process also destroyed the Democrat party in a single blow.

For a year, liberals have been pouting over Trump's win, and Hillary Clinton is still

licking her wounds and obsessively whining about losing the election.

And, it appears she is not giving up on her dream of being president even if that means

leaving the country, or planet to be elected.

In the real world when someone starts talking about living in an alternate universe where

they are president, it usually signals that they have had a break with reality, and they

would be taken quickly to a doctor.

Well, that would be a logical solution, though if you are Hillary Clinton and you fantasize

about being president on another planet, it is just laughed off.

In a recent interview with the liberal online publication, Now This, Hillary Clinton sat

down to be interviewed and languished over being president on another planet.

Yeah, you read that correctly.

Hillary Clinton actually sat down and daydreamed about being president on the fictional planet

Earth 2 where she would save the world from Kim Jong-un and how she would handle the supposed

Russian "collusion."

Here is more from The American Mirror:

Hillary Clinton really wants to be president — even if that means blasting off from Earth

to do so.

The failed Democratic candidate recently talked with Now This, a liberal online news outlet,

where she pined for a presidency.

While discussing a variety of topics, Clinton envisioned leaving Earth and venturing Earth

2, where that planet faces the same issues as the actual Earth.

"We went to another planet with Hillary," the caption reads as Clinton and Now This's

Nico Pitney fired off a series of topics.

"People joke about Earth 2, where you are president," he told a giggling Hillary.

On Earth 2's North Korea, Clinton said she would have "full on diplomatic pressure"

to solve the crisis with the portly dictator Kim Jong-un.

Clinton said if she was in charge, she would be "putting as much money as it took into

enforcing the laws we already have," and added she would want "universal background

checks."

After answering a question about the opioid crisis, a handler attempted to cut off the

interview.

"I fear we have to end it here," a voice off camera said.

"Okay," Pitney responded.

"You want one more?

I'll be short — one more.

Because I like being on Earth 2," Hillary said.

Pitney then asked Clinton what she would do about Russia.

"If I had been president, or on Earth 2, where I am," Hillary said she would have

an "independent commission" look into the alleged Russian "hacking" of the presidential

election.

"I worry about '18.

I worry about 2020 because this is the first time we've even been attacked and not imposed

any real consequences on our adversary," Clinton asserted, ignoring moves by Congressional

Republicans and the Trump administration to impose new sanctions on Russia since the election.

The L.A. Times reported in late October:

The Russian government on Friday accused the United States of displaying "hostility"

as the Trump administration belatedly took the first steps toward imposing new sanctions

to punish Moscow for interfering in the 2016 presidential election.

In early August, after considerable delay and with minimal fanfare, President Trump

signed into law a measure that required the new sanctions, which target individuals and

firms with ties to Russian defense and intelligence agencies.

Under the law, companies that "knowingly engage in a significant transaction" with

people or firms on the list could be subject to U.S. sanctions after Jan. 28.

It appears that Hillary Clinton has lost her mind completely, but no one on the left will

say it in order to save face.

They all know that Hillary Clinton is damaged goods and by her doing these public interviews

and making these outlandish remarks only proves the point more.

Instead of Hillary Clinton retiring and fading off into the distance, she continues to push

her insane conspiracy theories and whine about losing the election.

If she had any sense of decency in her, she would just keep her mouth shut and leave the

American people alone, but that isn't how Hillary works.

Hopefully, one day soon she will officially retire or find another hobby that doesn't

involve politics or activism so we all be left alone in peace.

What do you think about this?

Who Is The Little Boy At The End Of The Last Jedi? - Duration: 3:53.

The very last scene of The Last Jedi garnered gasps from packed theaters across the globe.

Yep: that little boy used the Force to guide a broom into his hand before pausing from

his work to stare into space, daydreaming about the Resistance.

Who is that little boy and what exactly did that mean?

And more importantly, what does the scene mean for the future of Star Wars?

Let's break down what could potentially be the most important scene in The Last Jedi—and

be forewarned, there are more spoilers ahead.

He's a slave

To provide a little refresher, one of The Last Jedi's plots sees Finn and Rose traveling

to the planet Cantonica to find a hacker in the city of Canto Bight.

The casino city—more Monaco than Las Vegas—is the ultimate hangout for the wealthy.

But that doesn't tell the whole story.

As Rose points out, drawing on her own painful past, the people working in Canto Bight are

slaves.

It's during this sequence that we first encounter the boy in one of the stables as Finn and

Rose escape—he's among the child slaves that clean and sleep in the stables while

caring for the Fathiers, the space ponies who end up serving as Finn and Rose's way

out.

We know his name

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi Visual Dictionary tells us that the boy is named Temiri Blagg,

and according to IMDb, first-timer Temirlan Blaev portrays the boy.

Clearly, Blagg is at the least Force sensitive, and that's nothing to scoff at in the Star

Wars universe.

In fact, over the course of the current trilogy, he's one of only a handful of people we've

seen use the Force—a list that includes heavy hitters like Luke, Rey, Leia, Kylo Ren,

Snoke, and Yoda.

In other words, he's probably a big deal.

He's a nobody

Aside from offering up some of the coolest space battles and most exciting action sequences

in the franchise, The Last Jedi put a lot of effort into shaking up the Star Wars mythology—which

is another way of saying that a lot of what we thought we knew about the saga just went

out like trash from a Star Destroyer.

Rey, the powerful Force-sensitive hero of the new trilogy, turns out not to be the secret

offspring of one of the story's heavy hitters.

In fact, her parents were basically space trash.

In the new Star Wars universe, you don't have to be a Skywalker or a Kenobi to be important.

Along those lines, Temiri Blagg doesn't appear to be related to anyone you've heard of; his

parents abandoned him, just as Rey's parents left her.

As the Skywalker saga comes to a close, we're learning that anyone can be Force-sensitive,

from a daughter of drunkards to a slave boy who sweeps up Fathier scat.

He won't be a Jedi

Kylo Ren spelled out the new plan for the movies going forward—no more Jedi, no more

Sith.

Temiri Blagg is Force sensitive, and he might do something with it, but he won't be a Jedi,

because the order as it existed is gone.

Rey isn't one, at least as it's been traditionally defined, so as far as we know there aren't

any Jedi left to teach him.

And yes, the Jedi sacred books survived—stowed away by Rey on the Millennium Falcon—but

studying from a book is very different from the master/padawan dynamic built up over generations

of Jedi.

He could be a New Hope

As Luke vowed before becoming one with the Force in the final act, he won't be the last

Jedi—but what it means to be one, and who gets to carry that mantle going forward, is

wide open.

It likely wasn't a coincidence that The Last Jedi ended with Blagg staring off into a star

cluster, uncertain of his future, just as Luke did at the end of The Empire Strikes

Back.

You could make the case that Blagg is the new Luke—without the pedigree, and without

the promise of proper Jedi training.

Or maybe he isn't?

Then again, the odds of Temiri Blagg being the only other Force-sensitive character besides

Rey in that galaxy far, far away is pretty slim, and that also plays into the new Star

Wars canon.

Blagg won't be the only one—there will be others.

Maybe he never makes it off Cantonica?

Maybe he doesn't pop up in Episode 9?

Both of those scenarios would fit into what Star Wars is now: a brand new series, where

anyone can use the Force, and the Sith and Jedi as we knew them are no more.

45 minutes to an hour to

And do it whenever you need some

restorative yoga in your life some relaxation meditation

A refresher for sorts of yoga is great for that it is also great for lowering your blood pressure

It's great for relieving stress

Reducing anxiety I cannot recommend it enough

For this class you will need two yoga blocks and yoga blankets and a yoga strap all of the

substitutions for that are listed in the description

Box below this video just in case you don't know this is the final day of the 12 days of ChriskaYoga!

I did 12 days in a row of videos

2018 you do not want to miss out so definitely join our community of subscribers over here, it is free

And I would love to have you so if you're ready grab your mat and your props and let's get started

We're going to begin with some gentle stretching starting in sukhasana easy post

Cross your shins flex your feet under your knees sit up. Tall bring your hands to your legs

Close your eyes take a deep breath in

And a deep breath out do that one more time take a deep breath in and

a deep breath out

On your next inhale lengthen your spine and on your exhale walk your

Hands and your torso over coming to a forward fold and your easy pose

Looking down

reach your arms out in front of you and just remain here for a moment stretching your little back your glutes your

Hamstrings your hips and just breathe

Slowly come up out of your forward fold to open your eyes if they aren't already

From here bring your left hand to your right knee your right arm behind you take an inhale

Lengthen your spine take an exhale and twist around to the right

Keep even on both sits bones at the bottom of your pelvis look all the way behind you as far as you can

Keep twisting with each exhale just a bit deeper and hold

Slowly unwind from your twist and will twist on the other side take the right hand to the left knee left arm behind you inhale

lengthen the spine

exhale twist to the left

Look behind you as much as you can stay even on the ground with your hips

hold here and breathe

Slowly unwind from your twist once again from here

Just walk your feet out and bring your feet to meet each other at the center line of your body

Knees out to the side

Sitting up tall once again on an inhale and on your exhale come to fold forward

Stretching the hips the inner thighs the glutes and the hamstrings as well

If you want a bit of a deeper stretch

Here you can place your elbows on your knees and gently press the knees down towards the floor as you fold forward

Or you can just remain in the forward fold. That's totally fine

Wherever you are here

Yes, always, breathe deeply relax

So they come up out of your forward fold bring your legs in towards each other and we will prepare for our first

restorative pose of the class

So for this take your

Bolster

Place it on

The ground in front of your body so you're facing the bolster now. I have my blanket here, too

Just in case just to show you that you can stack this up even

further with

the blanket on top of the bolster or

You can also use the blanket in your child's pose on your legs you can fold the blanket

Place it here

this just in case in your

Hips don't reach your heels this gives a little bit more leverage. So you can use the blanket if you would like

I'm not going to use it today. I'm going to set it to the side

We'll come back to it later

So for this pose touch your big toes together behind doing it on your knees

Separate your knees pretty wide so I'm going to go to the width of my yoga mat

and then I'm going to place the bolster kind of in between the knees and

You can adjust of course to your own comfort

So I'm going to place my torso over the bolster my hands on either side of the bolster with the palms facing

Upward so you'll turn your head to the right to start begin to deepen your breath

will quiet the mind focus the attention on the breathing and

remain here for several moments

You

Slowly lift your hand up off of the bolster and

Then we'll turn the head to the opposite side and rest the right side of your face on the bolster

Just for a few more moments of breathing close your eyes once you're settled and relaxed here

Slowly remove yourself from the bowl sir remove the bolster and bring your legs back in towards each other

From here we'll set up our next pose

So from here. I have my two yoga blocks set up in a t-shape the

Horizontal one is on the lowest height that the yoga block can go and the vertical one is above it

And it's on the medium height of the yoga block. I'm going to take my bolster or my bolster substitute and

drape it over the props I

want to

Achieve a diagonal slope so you can press your pillow or your bolster into the yoga blocks

and

Try and get the bottom part as close to the ground as possible will be resting our torso on this bolster

From here trying to face away from the bolster and place the sacrum so the bony structure at the bottom of your spine

place it at the base of the bolster and

Then we will take our yoga blanket

Open it wide to a wide rectangle and roll it up as

I'm doing here

Coming into a similar pose that we did earlier without the props bother konasana bound angle pose

place the middle of this long roll of yoga blanket at

The ankles and then take the blanket the two ends and wrap them underneath

your legs

So your legs are being cradled and supported by

this yoga blanket, so your legs are on top of the edges of the blanket preventing the edges from displaying outward and

in turn the blanket is holding your legs kind of

Suspended in this bound angle pose, so you might need to adjust once again

Just be mindful be careful with yourself of course

And you'll want to place the sacrum at the base base of the bolster and gently layer

Torso you layer back on top of the bolster your head should be supported as well once again

If you need to pause the video adjust yourself so that you are comfortable, that's the main goal is for you to be comfortable you

Can also use pillows on your hands to hold your hands up, so

That you're not in quite a chest opening position, but for today. I'm going to remain here with my hands on the ground

palms facing upward

Once you are settled in your pose you can close your eyes and

Deepen your breathing once again

Breathing in and out through your nose as we've done in the previous pose

Quiet your mind by focusing on the breath and remain

here

Bring some slight motion back into your body gently moving your limbs your hands and your feet the arms your legs

You can use your hands to help your legs back and towards each other and gently roll

to the side rolling off of your props

Be very careful with yourself you've been here for quite some time and

Begin to undo your props and set yourself up for the next pose

So for this one I am placing my bolster at the head or the top of my yoga mat

Taking my blanket out of the role that it was previously in

Rolling or folding it back into a square shape

Like this and then I'm going to do a shorter roll

With a very simple

shavasana here

Rolling the blanket and placing it under the knees

So I can come into shavasana

And rest my shoulders and my head on

the bolster

If you feel like you need something

Extra here you can place another pillow, you can just really add as many. Thanks to your shavasana as you would like

for this

Taking my hair out for this

Just be sure that your shoulders and your head and neck are supported and your knees are relaxed your legs are relaxed

relax your body place your hands down by your sides turn your palms up towards the ceiling and

Once again close your eyes and begin to deepen your breath

Inhaling and exhaling through the nose

focusing the attention on the breathing and just

Stay in your shavasana

Bring some motion back into your body gently move your limbs

Bend your legs and roll onto the right side rest they're coming off your props

Use your hands to help you and come up to a seated position cross your shins

Set your crops to the side if they're in the way flex your feet under your knees bring your hands to your legs

Sit up tall

Breathe deeply in and out through your nose

And bring your hands to meet at the center of your chest bow your head to your fingertips namaste, thank

Manifestation Inspiration: Hear How the Universe Conspires with Andrea - Duration: 3:15.

- So hi, Andrea. Thank you so much for joining us today.

So you have the coolest story

because you are just about to join Spiritual Biz Bootcamp,

and you're getting resourceful and organizing some stuff.

And I love how you took the leap, put down a deposit,

and then I want you to share

what the next step was that happened.

- Yeah, I really did do a leap

because we are in between houses right now.

We are renovating a house, and that is where

every last penny of our money is going to.

It's going toward the renovation.

And so we're about two or three months out of getting in,

and once we get in there, suddenly our lives

are going to change. We're not going to be putting

all of our money toward the house.

So some stucco work had been done on our house

literally a month ago.

We were prepared to pay the stucco guy.

He had already given us a fair price,

and he just never came back to collect his money.

And right after I paid the $500 deposit,

it was like within 48 hours, he calls my husband,

and my husband calls me and goes,

"You're not going to believe this,

"the stucco guy just called and said,

"'Oh, if you're prepared to pay me tomorrow,'"

yeah, "'in cash, I'll give you $500 off.'"

So I was like, "Oh my gosh, this stucco guy

just paid my $500 deposit."

So, cool.

- That is like so cool.

And I love it because that happens a lot.

When people finally take that leap

and they are going to finally live their purpose

and do everything, it's like the universe

just comes and helps you.

I've had people get the entire price

of the program paid by tax returns

or someone else had moved, and then when escrow closed,

they had exactly the extra amount that they needed

to get into boot camp, and it's

- [Andrea] Right.

- I'm always amazed. I just love that story.

So, I'll ask you this because

it is usually a big leap to do it, so

what made the decision to like, "Yes,

I'm actually going to join Spiritual Biz Bootcamp"?

- Because, so in my past life, I was a lawyer,

so I really connected with your experience

as a businessperson. And I just,

in the early stages of --

I am a medium.

And I read Akashic records,

but in the early stages, I started

to take that more seriously.

And when I saw your webinar and the talk

with Ann on your team,

I was just like, I don't know, "I can do this."

And if I go ahead and pay the deposit,

I'm going to really do this

with a rocket under me, and I'm not going back

to practicing law.

I'm just not.

Done.

- That's great, and making that transition

is always like a "Oh, my God."

And like from law to mediumship

to having your own spiritual business,

that's really cool.

- Yeah. - Who can say that.

- Who can say that?

- Yeah, well, there was definitely a few days

of, "Oh my gosh, everyone's going to thing I'm crazy."

And I was like, "That's okay.

They can think I'm crazy."

- It is okay. Well, I just have to say

congratulations for making the leap, and I just love

the story, and I want to tell everybody

I see that happen so often.

So when we're not in scarcity,

and we just trust the universe

that that's going to work,

and this is what I need to do, it really does come around.

That whole energy flow and exchange just happens.

Thank you so much for sharing your story.

That's really cool, and I look forward to seeing

what you're going to be creating in bootcamp.

- Thank you. Bye.
