This year, VidCon was held, wich is a gigantic YouTube event
Where the YouTubers and their fans can meet together
and also the YouTubers and the experts held stage performances.
This year's VidCon, YouTube held a Keynote
where they are presented a lot of new and interesting features
This is "INSIDE - The YouTube Explorer"
and in this video, I show you the new YouTube features.
* INTRO *
Before I start the video, I want to thank the "Banggood.com" webshop
for supporting the channel with a green screen kit.
I really want this (for months), and I was very happy, when they are contact me.
Unlike other websites, they are sent me this very quick (to Hungary)
It was about 2 weeks.
In the description, you can find links
and you can visit the website, where you can search or buy what you want.
If many people click the links, and they see that you are an active audience
maybe later they will make an another cooperation with me
So thank everyone, if you click the links!
Now the ad is over, so let's start the video!
More than 1.9 billion users visit YouTube every month
in nearly 90 countries and 80 different languages.
The YouTube Keynote was about to show what new features will try to increase content creator's earnings and viewers access.
And now I will talk about them in detail.
I think you saw that, many channels have the "Sponsorship" function.
Wich means that the viewers can pay a small fee ($4.99) every month (to a YouTube channel)
And they can get unique badges and emotes (related to that channel)
And they can access posts under the "Community Tab" directed to them.
Also the content creator can make live streams or videos to them.
The rewards are different in every channel.
The "Sponsors" can see their names green at the live streams chat.
And they can use the unique emojis here.
The YouTube is cut off 30% (and the Local Traffic Taxes) from the "Sponsorhip" revenue.
But if someone is at a Multi Channel Network, they can also cut off from this revenue.
The "Sponsorhip" (or Channel Membership) costs $4.99
But later, this can be changed.
This function was in beta mode, and only the gaming channels can access it,
but now, every channel (wich is reached 100.000+ subscribers) can turn on this funtion.
YouTube sees that a lot of channels have a merchandise shop,
and YouTube wants to help these YouTubers
with that they will add soon a shop system
and the fans can buy merch from the YouTube App or website
YouTube teamed up with "Teespring", wich is a merch manufacturing company.
Right now there is 20 different products, and the YouTubers can make graphics to them.
This function will be released in a couple of months,
and only U.S. based channel can access it with over 10.000+ subscribers
Content creators want to engage their audience,
YouTube made a new function, called "Premieres",
wich means that, if a YouTuber upload a video,
they will not release immediately.
But they can schedule a live stream,
where they can view that video with their fans.
This can be good for audience retention
and also this is good for channels that are not making live streams,
because they (and their audience) can take advantages from the "Membership" and the "Super Chat" function.
The "Premieres" function can be access by channels wich reaced the 10.000+ subscribers.
This function does not affect our country (Hungary), but It can reach us about 5 years later, as it used to be.
So this function called "Ticketing"
and It's purpose to help the bigger music channels and their audience,
because they can buy tickets for the artists' concerts.
YouTube teamed up with the "Ticketmaster" ticket office, and they will handle this system.
This function is only access by U.S. Music Channels.
Channels, wich reached 10.000+ subscribers, can put "Stories" to YouTube.
The "Stories" are few second long, low-grade, vertical videos
That's all I can say about this.
The viewers can access this function in the YouTube App, at the "Subscriptions" tab.
And near to this video's end, I have some toughts about this whole YouTube Keynote.
The YouTube's purposes with these functions is that,
if someone came to this place, they will not go to any other websites.
YouTube tries to integrate other social media websites' functions,
and the interesting thing is that, other social media sites also try to integrate the YouTube's functions
The functions that I show you in this video, exists on other platforms
Right now if a YouTuber is on Facebook or Instagram,
and wants to move with this age's expectations and with these new functions
and want satisfy their audience's needs,
they will need to post twice more.
Because if they post to Facebook, they need to post that to YouTube's "Community Tab",
if they are put a story to Instagram, they need to put that to YouTube's "Stories",
also Instagram lauches their new service, called "IGTV",
so if someone put a video to YouTube, they can publish it to IGTV.
I hope you could follow this thread.
